We loved The Cake Girl for our wedding day! With our first booked cake vendor going out of business a few months before wedding day, The Cake Girl was able to step in without missing a beat. Kirby made the whole process so smooth. We did a combination of a small two-tier cake (strawberry cheesecake) + lots of fancy cupcakes (cookie butter, carrot cake, butterfinger and blueberry lemon) and our guests loved them! We even had tons of leftovers for our friends and family, which was the best part 😊 Reasonably priced, great communication and delivery. We actively refer them to friends and family!

We did the at home taste testing and the girls were wonderful when we went in to the store. They made the process simple, and gave me plenty of options to choose from. All of the cakes we sampled were wonderful. on our wedding day everything turned out beautiful. We had a cake, variety of cupcakes and brownies for our wedding, by the end of the night there was almost nothing left because everyone loved them. They were also great about letting me make a few changes later on to accommodate some guest dietary restrictions. We were extremely happy with the outcome.

Wow, a chocolate vegan cake with strawberry filling and buttercream icing. Simply divine, very dense and PERFECTLY decorated for the celebrant! The icing was SO yummy and not overly sweet. My daughter FLIPPED OUT with joy over this cake. She turned 3 recently and I asked her what kind of cake she wanted- she told me she wanted a tall, green cake with chocolate sprinkles. It might not be the classic 'little girl' birthday cake, but it's exactly what she wanted, and that's what's important. The Cake Girl nailed it both in looks and taste. Rave reviews on quality from many party guests. Plus, it was delivered right to my house the day before- super easy. The Cake Girl made us an amazing rice crispy treat wedding cake! The middle layer is almond cake with guava filling, and it was divine. I cannot recommend them enough for being open to whatever design and inspiration you have. They were so excited to do rice crispy treats for us. We used the Cake Girl for our wedding cake on 5/22/22. It was so tasty, and the team went above and beyond to deliver us a custom design proposed by my husband. We are huge nature buffs, and he had some unique design elements he wanted to include (from blue gelatin to represent the water, to a pair of horseshoe crabs, to a mangrove tree). The team did an excellent job of helping us to merge our vision with our budget, and the finished product was one-of-a-kind, beautiful, AND delicious!! The cake I wanted for my wedding was made almost identical to the picture I gave them. The cake was beautiful and elegant and the best part: it tasted amazing! Kirby and the Cake Girl did an amazing job on our wedding cake. Kirby took the time to explain all the details we needed to know when ordering a wedding cake. He was very helpful. We had a shipping issue with out cake testing (could not go into bakery due to covid) and they fixed it immediately at no charge. The cake was the best taking and moist cake we tried during wedding cake testing. We went with one layer of the lemon cake with raspberry filling, chocolate with chocolate cream, and almond cake with raspberry filling. We paid for the delivery service and it arrived safely and in perfect condition. We order the extra layer for our one year anniversary but ate it every day until we left for our honeymoon. We will need to order a new one for our one year anniversary. We loved the customer service at the Cake Girl and highly recommend them for your wedding. I did think the wedding cake was costly but that seems to be at every bakery. The intricate design that we picked and the taste of the cake flavors were worth it! It was perfect for our all black and white wedding. My husband picked out the design and Kirby executed it exactly like the picture we sent. Thank you, Cake Girl!

The Cake Girl saved my wedding! They were able to accommodate our wedding with a short amount of time. Kirby was so professional and even made sure a certain flavor we were looking for was ready for us to taste in the shop! We wanted a simple cake with lots of cupcakes and they made it happen. The bottom of the cake was Alotta Colada and the top was Key Lime, both were a hit! We decided on 4 different flavors for the cupcakes; Twix, Carrot Cake, Frosted Animal Cookie, and German Chocolate. They were our HEROs for pur wedding cake vendor The Cake Girl in Tampa — the week before the wedding we had our original cake vendor cancel our cake on us out of the blue and we’re were left scrambling and so so stressed…. Kirby from The Cake Girl and their team were able to step in to save the day- and it was the epitome of “blessing in disguise” because we ended up having the most BEAUTIFUL cake that Kirby worked with and upgraded our original design and made it look so much better, and the combination of flavors we had of cinnamon roll and chocolate raspberry they were able to do and it was absolutely delicious!! I am not sure where to begin. I emailed a picture hoping and praying that I could get this cake made for my son's graduation party. I literally had two weeks to get this cake in time for the party. Not only did they find a way to replicate the cake, they also made deserts to match the theme. Their delivery service was attentive and helped to get the cake in the right spot on our desert table. Every thing was delicious. Pro tip, get the delivery service. They know how to get your cake there safe. The price was reasonable for our last minute request. I will be using them on all future orders.

Absolutely one of the best cakes! The cake is light, filled With strawberry and had incredible flavor. The entire experience was great and perfectly detailed from start to finish. Words cannot describe how amazing my experience was with the cake girl! I was ordering a specialty cake for my sons first birthday 26 days in advance and I got turned away by 3 different cake bakers and someone told me about the cake girl not only were they willing to take on the project but were sooo nice about every step of the process! They helped my coordinate some details of the design that I wasn’t sure about. And when I got there to pick it up they helped me carry it to my car. The cake was the talk of my sons birthday party, it was so nice I didn’t even want to cut it. Lol. But when we did it also tasted amazing and the cake was so moist. Worth every penny!

We were able to work with The Cake Girl for a corporate event. This was a very large project with many details and moving parts. From the first phone call the customer service was beyond accommodating and simply amazing. The attention to details and time spent creating this cake was impeccable. The staff came on site to help set up the large cake and stayed after to help with other details with our cake for the the event. Truly awesome customer service!! The cake itself was perhaps one of the most incredible tasting cakes ever. It cut like a dream and was moist wonderful and SUPER delicious and tasty! The custom cake process was efficient. I asked for a MUCH smaller cake, but received a cake for the entire floor of my hotel. I specifically requested a smaller cake as we had no guests. It truly was just a beach ceremony for us. I was stunned when I picked it up. HOWEVER, who can complain when the cake was as beautiful and decadent as shown? We wound up giving the bottom buttercream and raspberry cake to the staff at the hotel. Hope they enjoyed. We saved the top for our anniversary. I ordered the topper and floral pics from Etsy. Will definitely order again for my daughter's birthday. (Much smaller.)

So fresh and moist. Great presentation and flavor. The size is perfect. Two bites and done. I love the concept of a bite sized cupcake so that you get to try different flavors. What a great idea to have a flavor rotation. It makes me want to keep coming back to try others.

The Cake Girl was a pleasure doing business with. They were very professional and friendly. I placed the order on 9/29 for an event on 10/9 and they did come through! The cake tasted great! Not overly sweet and very moist. I ordered a vanilla cake with bavarian cream in buttercream. Although the cake was over my $150 budget, they did work with me to see what changes we could make to lower the original price of $325. They lost a star from me because it is VERY pricey ($242) and the color of the cake was off from the color I requested. Other than that, it was a beautiful and delicious cake! When my husband went to pick up the cake, he ordered 4 cupcakes while in the shop and not 1 made it back! 😡 He said they were delicious! I would definitely recommend The Cake Girl. Hopefully when I’m back in Tampa, I will definitely stop by and get a cupcake for MYSELF! Haha! Thank you for your business.

I ordered a small strawberry cake with bavarian cream to be delivered to my friend (I live in NYC) about a week or so before the date. Kristina was super responsive to my emails (even emailing me back quickly late in the evening) and very professional and courteous. I sent her a design and she copied it perfectly. So, what can I say about The Cake Girl, but, “WOW!!!” We had 2 celebrations in the space of 2 weeks (one major birthday, and one major “Oh thank God this miserable year is over!”), for which The Cake Girl created 2 amazingly yummy cakes that also were so beautiful I almost didn’t want to even think about cutting into them. The carrot cake was amazing: moist, not cloyingly sweet, with big carrot shreds and nuts. Carrot cake is my favorite, and this one ruined me for all others. The chocolate on chocolate with colorful fondant decorations was also amazing, even for my chocolate favoring husband: the textures were like velvet and marshmallow and the colored polka dots were so poppable! (See pix.) Let’s see, what am I forgetting?? Oh, yeah, they were both GLUTEN-FREE!!! Since being diagnosed gluten intolerant about15 years ago, I’d given up on having any cake worth eating, unless I made it myself. So, yeah, my world has been improved. Thank you, The Cake Girl! 👍🏻🤗🎉

The Cake Girl provides the best service from requesting your quote online: answering questions concerning your order; ease of making your deposit or payment online, and last creating a cake that will be beyond what you could have imagined. I used The Cake Girl for my son’s graduation and selected to pick it up in person. When I laid eyes on my cake I was so excited by the design, bright colors, and the realistic look of the cap and stole. I was so caught up, that I didn't realize it was missing the congratulation message and I had already left the shop. I called the bakery and Kirby one of the owners apologized for the small error and offered to bring it to our location, and place it on the cake, Wow! When the cake was brought out to my son he was blown away by how cool and big it was. This was the sweetest gift to our son that we all enjoyed. My experience from start to finish was superb! The cake was beautiful, delicious, and an art piece that we will remember forever. If you want a great bakery experience with top-notch service and taste great, don't hesitate to use The Cake Girl! My husband and I are big on customer service that is hard to come by these days, which makes us satisfied customers!

Nice new local business outing. The cutest little cupcakes you ever saw! We went to celebrate national ice cream day. The selection of icecreams is fairly small I think about 10 flavors. Its clear the bread and butter is these mini cupcakes. I have yet to try one saving them for later tonight. If they taste half as good as they look they will be worth buying again. Also the establishment was clean. In fact safe to say its the cleanest business in that electric shopping strip. The staff were friendly and available without being pushy.

The miniature cupcakes were so unique and the talk of the wedding party! The Cake Girl created a custom banana flavored cupcake called the Saddlebrook which was so delicious! I highly recommend adding a specialty cupcake for your wedding that is meaningful for your marriage. The wedding cake process was so convenient too because we got to take the cake flavors and frostings home with us to make our own combinations. My favorite combination was the Puerto Rican cake with coconut filling and butter cream frosting! It was so delicious that I could eat it everyday! Another special part of our wedding was the Stanley Cup themed grooms cake that not only tasted scrumptious but looked like the actual Stanley cup! The Cake Girl was the highlight of our wedding! When you work with their team, you are in the best hands possible and your wedding will be everything you hoped for + and more!!!

Our wedding cake was beautiful. I had sent the idea of my wedding cake vision with just a picture of a floral bouquet. I came in and met with Aimee and only picture she showed me was exactly what I was wanting. The cake arrived and the delivery guy noticed a flower had come off and was not something he could fix. Thought I would try this establishment for a birthday cake. My family purchased one from Publix and one from The Cake Girl. The Cake Girl cake was absolutely breath taking. The outer beauty was created with perfection. The taste of the cake far exceeded my expectation on what a cake should taste like. The icing was delicate yet sweet. The taste was good but the appearance of the cake I requested was not exactly what we were going for. It was a bit of a let down when I picked up the cake the day of the party. The picture on the left is what I asked for, on the right is what we got. I asked for vanilla cake with strawberry filling, instead I got a vanilla and chocolate cake with strawberry filling. Would not order a cake for an event from this place again simply because it did not meet my expectations.

Stopped in for a New Year’s Eve treat right as the shop was closing (sorry about that!) The owner was patient, generous and so very friendly. The cupcakes and cake in a jar were out of this world!!!!! The softest, fluffiest most delicious cake and delectable toppings. I have nothing but great things to say about Kristina and Kirby Lavalee! We found this company on Wedding wire. Being from Maryland, I had not idea really where to start looking for a wedding cake vendor in the Tampa area. After looking over their website, I knew this was the company for me! I love sweets and I love variety! This company had it all. The pictures of the cupcakes are such a tease. We decided to do a cake to cut for our wedding and the have a bunch of random flavors of cupcakes for our guests to enjoy. We arranged a trip to Florida and due to COVID the Cake Girl was not doing in store tastings but they did arrange a time for us to come by to pick up one cupcake from each flavor that we picked for our wedding. These cupcakes were oh so yummy and had me wanting more. Our wedding was supposed to be November 2020. We rescheduled it and The Cake Girl just transferred our order to our new date. Fast forward to now, sadly, we had to actually cancel our Florida wedding being from out of state. We did not get to use them on our wedding date but I would highly recommend them for many reasons! Customer service and responsiveness was top notch from day 1. We will use them in the future when we return to the Florida area!!
