Reviews of La Bahía Bakery

Excellent service. The food is amazing. The wedding cake is to die for. I felt like I was in Puerto Rico. I had the egg, cheese and bacon sandwich in pan sobao. The coffee is perfect and the pastries too. I will definitely be back and recommend this place to friends and family. Plus, they are community oriented and they are always helping others.

Delicious bakery and sandwich shop. I tried the Corazon Criollo (steak and cheese) sandwich and the wife had a lunch plate of Roast Pork with Black Beans and Plantains. Everything tasted great. Lots of flavor which I expected from a Latin bakery. The bakery case has a lot tempting sweets but I held strong. The place is busy at lunch, clean, and friendly staff. I enjoyed it.

What a great find this was! I googled brazo gitano in Tampa and this place came up. I’m so happy I found it. I’ve been there twice and the food and the service has been very good each time. The bakery items and the hot food items are authentic and super fresh. The food really tastes like Puerto Rico! The prices I would say are moderate, but well worth it. I read on their website that their profits go to a great purpose. I’ll definitely be back, and I started spreading the word among friends and family.

Recommended by a friend, I went in to this gem and was greeted warmly. I wanted to surprise some friends with yummy pastries and I asked for their specialty! Amazing custard filled deliciousness!! Will be back and spend more time to explore the menu.

This was our first time trying this bakery! We had a media noche sandwich con eggs and bought a ton of pastries and bread with cafe and let me tell you…. We love this place!! We plan to have them cater our wedding!

Service was sweet, respectful, and quick. I accidentally got there as it was closing and they still did not hesitate to prepare a meal for me. They didn’t have many sides since they were practically closed, so I doubled up on the meat for the Tripleta and did not regret it. Meat was perfect, bread was incredible, an all around delicious sandwich. Big enough to feed at least two people, or one person who is ravenous.

We ate there last weekend! First time visiting, and the ambient is great. Clean, well decorated, comfy atmosphere, and wonderful music. We tried the Corazon Criollo sandwich and the Bahia traditional. Our sandwiches came out fast, the smell was delicious. Good amount of filling, so tasty! The chocoflan was really good, too! The staff was friendly and helpful while we took our time choosing our food. I would go back for sure!

Amazing spot. Randomly came across it, and so happy I did. This spot is a hidden GEM! The food was unbelievable, and the staff/ownership was so kind. This is now one of my go-to favorite spots!

Great place to get breakfast. The café con leche is a good choice, just know that you'll have to add your own sugar. Thankfully the coffee is hot enough to absorb the sugar.
I also recommend any baked item here. I haven't tried them all. From what I have tried, however, I can tell you that they're on point.
I usually order a platter breakfast here, and while the food is exemplary of a traditional breakfast, I will make a few points.
1. I'm not feeling the fries for breakfast. I'm able to order a side of platanos maduros and yeet the fries to the trash.
2. Come hungry. The portion sizes are large.
3. Breakfast sandwiches are a solid choice.
I hope this place stays around.
