Fritz EichelbergerLove this place! Great Puerto Rican sweets, flans, cakes and more. The coffee is so delicious! Not butter, very well balanced in flavor. I bought a Halloween cake and well designed. The flavors brought me back to the Valencia Bakery in Manhattan from when I grew up there in the 70s through the 90s. The flan - excellent! The empanadas, the croquettes, sugar cookies, bagels, egg sandwiches and more…so good!! If you’re in the area, please go. If you’re like me and will drive for great food then make sure to add El Coqui to your list of places to frequent often.

Friendly staff, the sandwiches are great, coffee is good, and with tons of drink choices, desert choices, and mid-day snacks, what’s not to love? Certainly my favorite place to quickly grab a bite to eat, and cakes for special events. I’ll certainly be back, and often.
zyeuhBy far one of the best bakeries in Tampa. Truly a hidden gem. Staff is very friendly, food and baked goods are delicious and you can see how much the community loves this little sho by the volume of visitors.
