This bakery is takeout only for now. It’s boarded up, presumably to prevent the robbers and vandals who have targeted businesses in Chinatown lately. It also has more COVID security than any restaurant I’ve ever seen. There is a plastic screen completely separating the staff from customers. Food was delicious, and extremely affordable. I hope the cafe will soon have reason to believe it is safe to open up fully, but I understand and support their efforts to protect their staff until then.

I believe it's boarded up to prevent robbery since many robberies have been targeting shops lately. Anyways, I ordered their pork floss and cream buns! It's delicioso! I'll come back again to try the cakes.

My favorite cake shop. The cakes are light, moist and not too sweet. They remind me of the Japanese Christmas Cake I had in Hokkaido. What a treat!!!

While everything looked delicious, I got an egg tart and it really missed the mark. The pastry dough was not flaky nor crispy and crunch. The egg custard inside is also not up to par. It is lacking in flavor and the texture wasn't correct. The only upside is the decor is nice, lots of variety, and extremely inexpensive.

This place was so good! I had their egg tarts, tiramisu cheesecake, and chestnut cake, and they were all super good. Price wasn’t too bad either. Lady was super nice and prompt as well. Btw it may look boarded up and closed but they’re very much open.

I ordered my oldest child's high school graduation cake from here in 2016 because we'd had individual pieces other times over the years. The cake did not disappoint; it was beautiful and beyond delicious. All guests raved how good it was. I'll be ordering another for my youngest's upcoming graduation.

I purchased a fruit sponge cake and was a bit disappointed that it was lacking in flavor. I’m not sure what was missing but the sponge and whipped cream didn’t taste as rich as some other places I’ve bought from. Perhaps it’s a bit healthier? It was also more expensive than expected for an 8” cake made of of basically layers of fresh fruit melons, sponge cake and whipped cream, but then again maybe it’s just Covid pricing and ingredients have skyrocketed. But I will say it was freshly baked! The other Chinese pastries looked fine.

I always get a cake here whenever I need one for a special occasion! I love their mixed fruit cake - perfectly light, fluffy, and not too sweet! Besides the different cakes they also have other Chinese pastries here too, both sweet and savory :D They have drinks as well.

Good selection of cakes and pastries. I bought the cream puff and it was really good. The fresh cream filling is the best, or you can select the custard filling as well. However, the owner is not very friendly, it's like they don't want you in the shop... Also, they only give you paper bag, I bought some goodies on a rainy day and when I get home, my (paper) bag was soaking wet :((( Note: there's a surcharge fee for every CC transaction less than $5.

Pastries here are pretty good (just a bit sweeter than my personal liking). The place is a bit hard to find due to the boarding up, so be aware that they look like a closed down establishment. I love their COVID measures though.

I love yummy house. Ive been coming here since i was a teenager buying buns and cakes. The same lady works there since i was 15 yrs old. I've never had the bubble tea but everything that I've have had was a hit.

I got my wedding cake here. Their service has been incredible and I know I'm in for a treat because their cake is the best, hands down. I don't like the fondant nightmares that wedding cakes have become! Their fruit cake is light, not too sweet, and the whipped topping is pure bliss.

They sell different kinds of breads and cakes. Love their BBQ Pork Bun and the Sweet Bun. There breads are always freshly baked everyday. And if you're not so picky about a day old bread, they sell them in lower price. Service is not that bad.

Delicious. Do not be dissuaded by the store front’s current (see date) appearance. Past the door you will find a lovely selection of cakes and other baked goods. Each item purchased was scrumptious.

The cake I bought was delicious. Do call ahead to order by phone. I didn't order ahead so the selection was limited. They have other bakery items too. The seating is more than enough if you are eating your goodies at the bakery. I am from out of town so pretty much everything here is too expensive for me so I took off one star due to sticker shock but I'm price sensitive. My spot for cakes used to be a place a block away but they are no longer open so now when I go to the International District I go straight to the Yummy House Bakery.

I come here every now and then and get the BBQ pork bun and the bacon bun. There are a lot of good savory buns here. I really suggest trying several of them to see what you like! They are usually priced at $1.75.

Great cake! We have been coming here for years for special occasions. Even though it looks boarded up , it is still open. Wonderful Covid protocols. Highly recommend!

The staff is very nice and helpful and give me complimentary bday cakes' candles and decors, love the fact that they also sell them in slices, highly recommend for bday-related and any special ocassions, the cakes are tasty and delicious also, thx!

I came into the bakery as a first-timer to get a birthday cake for my grandma. I was so glad that the fruit cake I got was just to my grandma and family's tasting (not too sweet, enough cake to fruit to frosting ratio). Not only that, but the lady assisting me was so friendly and prompt! She was able to make and have me pick-up the cake on Christmas day, and she even gave me a call for reassurance.

The fruit cake is amazing! It's hard to find dessert with subtle sweetness in Seattle--usually dessert is always super sweet. We also always order Durian Cake for celebrations cuz its so yummy!

Beautiful cakes. Really, really beautiful. They couldn't be more delicious to look at. Sadly, based on one cake and a pastry bought on different occasions, they are much better to look at than to eat. Stiff, dry, and bland. If what you're interested in is an impressive-looking gift, they've got you. If you're also interested in it being eaten and enjoyed after you give it...maybe not.

Great little gem located in the heart of Chinatown, stumbled upon it only to find some of the best strawberry shortcake I've had in a while. I always visit this shop every time I'm in Seattle. They have many different variety of cakes, buns and other sweets.

Wonderful lady behind the counter. After my friend chose a cake and it was boxed, she changed her mind and wanted a different cake instead. The counter lady was so helpful to reassure my friend it was okay, return the first cake to the shelf and box the second cake. She cared most that we had a good experience and got the cake we wanted.

This is a underrated hidden gem in the international district in Seattle. My favorites are the sponge cake, egg tart, and other small pastries. The place is cheap and never crowded. Great homemade taste to it!
