Reviews of Le Panier
Shilpa Balagopalan
Lovely classic French bakery located in pike place market. Tried the almond chocolate croissant and coffee. Yummy on a cold afternoon walk around the market. Will go back to try the macaroons as they are supposed to be good too. So many choices I wanted it all.
Vicki
I’ve had the best almond croissant at @lepanierbakery! Crunchy, flaky on the outside and moist, flavorful on the inside. Toasted almonds on top completed it perfectly, too! Haven’t had an almond croissant that’s not overly sweet, and actually tasted like almonds in a very long time😍 …
Jemellee Manaoat
A cute little French Bakery located at Public Market Place. It’s cute inside and they have very good pastry. There’s always a line outside of the shop. But the thing is there are no seats so you can’t sit and enjoy your pastry with a coffee or your favorite hot beverage. There’s barely any parking nearby so might as well park your car somewhere then walk to the place. Either way you’ll end up walking around Public Market.

The only thing this restaurant is missing is seat. Not only do they not have seats but currently you can not even stand inside at the tables and eat inside, that's a bummer. The variety of pastries are amazing. This is the first time I've had a meringue treat and I love it.

The magic French bakery place in pike market, like super well known… I had it yes it’s so great but … like it’s not surprising me it’s actually average. I mean I come here for something I have a bite I will just fall in love with this place and I didn’t, because every one said it’s so good!
I will love to give you a warning about their coffee… run.
Erica Garcia
Ordered the raspberry croissant 🥐, chocolate almond croissant, pistachio, raspberry, and blood orange macaroons.
Macaroons were good, but I've had better Rating: 7/10. Filling was a bit bland for the raspberry macaroon but I'd recommend the blood orange macaroon.
Raspberry croissant was okay, there wasn't very much of a filling and was more like just a croissant. Rating: 2/10
But the chocolate almond croissant was amazing 😍 I'd go back for this in a heartbeat Rating: 10/10.

My husband always gets me something delicious from this bakery. The wait line is huge but its worth it. I recommend to go in first part of the day because by end of the day not so many choices left. My favorites there are eclairs and napoleon and seasonal rhubarb tart.
Omar Alkhalisi
Nice french bakery. Loved the pistachio macaron. Napoleon cake was good but the top cream was too hard. Loved the coffee latte. I hope they bring back the table seating

A desert and a coffee place to look out for on the pike place. Their macarons were excellent, happen to buy one of each flavors, and everything was excellent. They got some fresh baked croissants, and other bakery items.
Cel St.Pierre
What a wonderful French pastry shoppe! Sweet rolls, croissants, bread, macrons, eclairs, tarts, small quiches, and more. Highly recommend just stopping to browse and you will want to have a pastry. You can even buy bread and baguettes here. Bon appetite!

Very french bakery in downtown Seattle. The food is amazing! Prices are a bit high but for Seattle-OK, I guess… beautiful latte art☕️ The line was huge: all the way outside and around the corner. And employees that were serving us were pretty slow. So simply for that one star off. I wish they were moving a little faster and served clients quicker.
Let me add that pate sandwich was bomb 💣 I will definitely be back for it!
Dana Philips
The go to French spot at pike place market. Great selection of items to choose from. The ambience is lovely. Friendly staff. Prices were reasonable. Ended up picking an assortment of macaroons. Will come back for more.
Jackie Fiedler
Beautiful bakery, extremely friendly staff.
So much to choose from! The raspberry croissant was flaky and delicious. The macarons were perfect.
Charley Oxley
So many good things from this small bakery. I was in Seattle for 2.5 days and went maybe 4 times. The coffee and tea options are excellent. The macaroons should not be missed. The selection pastries to include the chocolate almon croissant are Heavenly. The smells as you walk by are incredible. The staff are friendly and efficient. The Cafe is very clean! This is definitely a place I look forward to going back to next time I am visiting Seattle. The line is definitely worth the wait!!
Rebecca Mckinney
Wow, this place exceeded my expectations! Well worth the wait. I had a few items from each case. They had croissants, desserts, and some warm items meat and veggies in a pastry. The one with chicken in it was my fave.
Armando Chacon
The place is awesome. We could have stayed there the whole day sampling their pastries.
Will love to go back, but we live in Texas.
If you come to Pike's market it is located accross from the market.
Samantha Cruz
The line is long but so worth it. Only reason I don’t give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it hurt the bank just a little but I guess that’s what you get for touristy spots. Would still 100x recommend. Bread was super flaky and soft. Smells so good too.
Tad Bixby
Almost perfect. Staff: delightful. Selection: abundant, decadent and delicious. Coffee: excellent. Where did we fall short? After collecting my exquisite chocolate pastry and my double espresso, and heading to the door so excited, I tripped on the slightly more elevated exit side of the stairs, spilling half my Expresso. Alas, I was ok, and the remainder of the now single Expresso was still so good. Bottom line is, pace yourself and watch your step as you prepare for a face full of happy!
Traditionally Modern Food
The aroma of the store tempted me to pay a visit. We got chocolate, vanilla, and caramel macarons. They tasted so good. Friendly staff, quick service, and tasty pastries
Sergii Patrashko
Best place for croissants, pastries and baguettes at Pike place. Very tasty, long lines on weekends. We’ve been coming here for years, never disappointed.
Elliott Castillo
You can't go wrong with any of their pastries! The Almond-Chocolate croissant is perfect for the indecisive and the more savory pastries are incredible. Oh and the macarons are delicious as well.
anne
The pastries are to die for. All the pastries are definitely worth the wait. We got the croissant, tarts, eclairs, crossiant aux fruits (apricot danish)… and they were all so so good. The fresh pastries smelled soooo good while standing in line, and they taste even better. So lovely. Will definitely visit again.
Joseph Finn
Little French bakery and clearly understaffed (two employees on a Friday afternoon). Underwhelming variety but lack of staff may be the reason the displays looked bare. Either that, or they make limited quantities and don't make more throughout the day. We got one of each of the macaroons and some were delicious and others (like vanilla) were rather bland. All had a good texture and consistency to the bite. The "dining room" is a shelf. No tables, no chairs. A little disappointing since it was raining outside and we wanted to eat our macaroons right away. Would have loved to try the croissants or tort cakes.. They looked yummy!
Smiling Ls
The best french bakery I've found in Seattle area!! If you haven't been here, you just go! Everything is so delicious and everyone should experience their food. The macarons are the best I've ever had. Beautiful shop and kind staff. There is usually a line and it is worth it!!!
Megan Ung
The pastries here taste as good as the bakery smells! The buttery smell definitely lured me in while walking around Pike Place Market but I got the almondine (almond croissant) and it was so delicious- crunchy, flaky, buttery, and hit all my cravings! This is one of my must go places in Pike Place Market!
I went on a Monday afternoon and there was a small line but we were in and out in less than 5 minutes.
Yü Wu
I wouldn't call Le Panier a tourist trap because the croissant isn't bad, it's just not worth the wait. Service was surprisingly nice and prices quite reasonable given how busy and touristy they get.
I stopped by on a weekday morning shortly after they opened at 7am and there was already a line long enough to stretch out of the bakery store. I waited for about 10 minutes and got a classic butter croissant. For $3 it's pretty good but a bit dry and not that flaky, I definitely had better ones.
Peter Swartz
This is the most amazing French bakery. The stuff they make is clearly quality, and it's definitely something that you go to Seattle for. This place is a destination, so expect to wait when it's busy, but it's worth the wait. The croissants are out of this world, no matter which one you get. The bread really good as well, usually grab a baguette to take home for dinner. They make espresso also so grab a little coffee to go with your amazing almondine!
Paul Cafferata
Wonderful, just wonderful. You’ll smell Le Panier before you see it, and that aroma is simply magnifique!
They have both sweet somethings and savory warmth, depending on your mood.
Breakfast is served!
Jay Finesilver
Great bakery, with a solid friendly staff. Well worth seeking out. The almond croissant is seriously delicious. Near Pike Place.
Amber
Absolutely amazing food and deserts. Lattes are delicious too! Can’t wait to come back here next time I’m in Seattle.
LLL
Another great dessert place!!!! Even the line was long but it was definitely worth it. I love their bread but I highly recommended the apple pie! Best apple pie I ever have. Fill with so much apple and it wasn’t way too sweet. Have a little bit of the sour taste that was just perfect. Highly highly recommended this place and will definitely come back again!
Luis Turrubiartes
I felt like I was in an adult candy store. Everything looked so delicious that for the first time I was not snapping photos of everything and just taking all the great looking pastries in. For sure would return and wait in line all over again for this spot. It was great ordering food and coffee here then heading down the street to just chill, take in the views of the water, people watch, and enjoy our pastries.
Serene Kanaan
Such a delicious bakery! Their savory pastries are to die for! We had them every single day for breakfast during our 2 week stop to Seattle!
Food is bliss By Rishi Thakrar
The line up at this place was long. The wait i must say was totally worth it. We got couple pastries from this place with some coffee. Loved each and every bite of the food. I would definately reccomend trying this cute little cafe in pike place market. Keep up the great work.
Andy Shizak
Napoleon pastry and Pistachio eclair pictured. Excellent...BTW! So many pastry items to choose from. They have a large selection of Macarons that are to die for!
A Stint Abroad
Definitely worth the wait. We ordered the chocolate and almond croissant with a latte and mocha. The croissants were warm, soft, and crumbled as they were eaten. They were delicious, and we plan to come back again tomorrow.
Niki Dupras
Amazing Macaroons! Smells so good in here as well! Staff were quick and friendly! I would highly recommend this place.
Eri江梨
French style bakery located in pike place market.
I tried crossaint and kouign amann. Both are light tastes but delicious.
Tim Mitchell
The bread! The pastries! Cooked on site, served by patient friendly people. Love this place. Great when there’s no line but also worth a wait.
M Prins
They’ve perfected buttery, savoury or sweet French pastry! Jambon M was better even than it looks! And we were impressed with their americanos too! Efficient service. Prices are a bit above average.
Kessashun Arthur
This place caught my eye one day, so I decided to pop in. That might have been the best decision I made that day! These are arguably the best macarons I've ever had (and I've been to Paris). They were also some of the thickest, but still super soft and delicate. Café was like eating a perfect latte; caramel was perfectly rich with a hint of salt. Everything had distinct flavors and well-balanced sweetness. There were plenty of other good looking pastries, but definitely add Le Panier macarons to your Pike Place grocery list!
Elaine Wang
Got the vanilla eclair, almond croissant, and cookies here. Everything was really good! My friend really likes their chocolate eclair but they didn't have them when I went.
Nitya Iyer
My second time here and we went straight for the macarons. We tried nearly every flavor, and my favorites were the wild strawberry and raspberry. The macaron cookies themselves were pillowy soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Both fillings were tart, which cut the creaminess and sweetness a bit. Some of the best macarons I’ve tried!
amruta m
Small cozy place with loads of fresh baked goods. I purchased a handful of macaroons and totally loved it. Perfect crunch and bite.. loved the variety of flavors
Alexandra Gonzalez
The bakery is on the same block as Piroshky and the Original Starbucks. They sell I really diverse selection of pastries, including sweet and salty, I tried about 4 of them (in different days haha) and I loved them. Their croissants are as good as it gets. They also have hot and cold drinks. If you come early in the morning before 10AM there will be a short line but not big deal. There is no seating right now due to covid, but you could walk back to the picnic area (in the entry of the Pike Market) and enjoy your food there. They also have to-go gift sets of cookies, palmiers, and some others. The also have a good selection of coffee and tea, both hot and cold. Prices are similar to other pastries like Piroshky (there are some photos of the menu already post it)
You should definitely try it if you are around. It’s delicious! 😉
Caden Weiner
The pastries from le panier are always fantastic. It reminds me so much of the great pastries I’ve had while visiting Europe and everything is fresh and high quality.
Siddhant Kshatriya
Many options available for bakery item. Do try out the Almond chocolate croissant. You will love it. The macaroons were good too. We tried all the flavors, of them I would recommend trying the vanilla one. The cost of all the items seems reasonable considering the taste.
Michael Ellingson
A fantastic french bakery with a rich history, fantastic baked goods and great people.
I got a chocolate croissant and a sampling of the different flavors of macarons (one of which didn't even make it into the picture). Walking into the entrance you are met with an intoxicating smell of fresh pastries and bread that once observed makes returning again and again a no brainer
Shelby Booth
Tasty coffee and great pain au chocolat! The line moves quickly if there is one and the employees were kind and efficient. Can’t beat the location!
Lynn Choi Perrin
Delightful bakery that we enjoy visiting whenever we are in town visiting family. Surprisingly long line even early in the morning. Well functioning and clean bakery. I’d say that you should stick more with the specialty croissants. Being married to someone French and exploring a lot of bakeries, I would say the plain croissants are not as crispy and flaky. However it was still delicious. We had the plain, almond, and ham and cheese croissants, a baguette and chouquettes.
Ramiro Alejandro Restrepo
Delicious, quality pastries! There’s a bit of a wait though, I came on a Saturday afternoon, so it’s to be expected - but it was worth it. The chouquettes were a surprise delight. Fluffy, airy, and sweet! My favorite macaron was the lemon one!
Yuchen Zhang
It's always busy here because of the location. And I do enjoy their pastries but it's not my favorite place to go.
I got a two of their pastries - almond croissant and apricot pastry. The Almond croissant was very good, the apricot pastry was meh. I also got a hot chocolate - the small size was tiny - I didn't realize how tiny it was and should've gone for a bigger size since it's only a quarter or 2 more. The hot chocolate was not as strong as I would've preferred but it was tasty and not too sweet.
I don't think I would come here instead of my favorite places and because it's so touristy....but if I needed to come for a pastry here, then they're not bad for the most part.
Avi NasH
Great varieties of macrons, croissants 🥐, and delicious lattes 😍👌🏽. Staffs are friendly and welcoming ☺️ Clean and well maintained store.
My favorites are the Jelly Croissants, Almonds, Latte 😍👌🏽, Macrons- Chocolate, Vanilla, Framboise, Pistachio, and Caramel. …
Ki Ki
Cute french bakery with fresh breads and baked goods:) I love the coffee there!
Ian Simon
Amazing! Everything was exceptional. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We sat by the window with a pastry and a coffee. An excellent morning. Highly recommend.
Colin U.
An unexpected delight, now saved forever as a place to return to with each trip to Pikes Place Market.
Macaroons crafted with such care, to allow for a a treat hydrated with flavor and texture. These aren't your ordinary macaroons. The texture provided the perfect bite, in flavor, texture and experience.
There are many other delightful concoctions, I haven't tried, namely the decadent looking dark chocolate cake, and many other pastries. Oh well. Time to go back and try them all.
Stanley L
Great variety of sweets with reasonable price.
Macaroons and Napoleons are recommended.
However, not all flavors are available for the macaroons.

I recently stumbled upon Le Panier in Seattle and was absolutely blown away by their delicious baked goods. The baguette had the perfect crust and a soft, pillowy interior that was a delight to bite into. The raspberry croissant was equally impressive, with its flaky layers and a flavorful filling that perfectly balanced the buttery pastry. The welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff made our visit even more enjoyable. If you're a fan of authentic French baked goods, I highly recommend making a stop at Le Panier.
Wai Chan
Great French bakery down at pike place, one of the best spots I hit on this trip so far.
No seating inside restaurant currently. You take it to go.
Decaf Latte was good.
I ordered a lot of different items to try:
Pro tip: my recommendation is the almond croissant if you can have one thing.. So very flaky with a delicious almond cream.
The brioche framboise
Very strong strawberry jam which was excellent
Palmier
Great version
Kuign amann
Preferred the soft texture of this to the palmier but that's a personal preference
Citron tart
Very strong lemon flavor without it being acidic and too tart.
Vanilla macaron was better than the pistachio. The black currant was very interesting! A great flavor to try. Strawberry was fine.
Pistachio eclair
Make sure to try this. They fill them up generously
Chocolate eclair
If you like chocolate you will love it, but I'm not a huge chocolate person.
Michelly Calzadilla
I went on a Saturday at 10:00 AM and waited about 45 mins total. Definitely order ahead if you're in a rush. The location is small and rightfully popular with a delicious assortment of baked goods from croissants to fresh bread to macaroons. The staff are polite, helpful, and don't make you feel hurried despite the long line. Prices are fair. I will be back, but probably during the week next time!
amanda drury
Been coming here for years. Scared to share the best item here incase they sell out and don’t have when we arrive. I wish they’d open up more around seattle. Specifically Bellevue
Richard Mack Jr
Really great. Really tasty. Lovely staff. It's hard to choose so buy a lot.
Kate S
Excellent chocolate almond croissant. I went around noon on a Monday and there was a very small line. Avoid going weekends when lines are very long. I almost bought a Napoleon which I haven’t eaten yet!
Lauren L
If you want Macaroons, this is the place!! They had a large variety and they were so good. Passionfruit, Pistachio, and Wild Strawberry were our favorites! Also all their coffees do come iced (which was great in the heat wave)
The Rhubarb tart was also amazing! Staff so friendly and helpful! Couldn't say enough great things about this place!
Shivika Singal
It’s a wonderful shop and fresh bakery items. I went here because I read about their croissant and they did not disappoint. We got the little pistachio cookies and they were fabulous too. My hubby loved the chocolate cake and everything tasted fresh and yummy!!
Brian Gomez
They have some delicious pastries and some delicious hot coffee, the line moved fast and after words we went to the park down the street to enjoy the views. The sales associate was very professional and and had great customer service!
Ariel Jones
The macarons are incredible!! Definitely recommend grabbing some if you stop in here. I also got a cinnamon roll and my hubby got an apricot tart. Everything was delicious. There was a long line out the door, but it moved quickly.
Misoo Moon
I no longer live in Seattle, so I can't get my weekly fix of Le Panier croissants... but the croissants here really are great.
My husband and I spent over a week in France this summer, and we probably ate 30+ croissants from many different boulangeries (very healthy, I know). We both agreed that Le Panier's croissants were on par with most of the croissants we had on our trip.
For locals or weekday tourists: there's something special about coming here right at opening on a weekday, when the alluring smell of freshly baked goods wafts out the door, the place is empty, and Pike Place is slowly starting to wake up in the morning. One of the things I miss most about Seattle.
Yasi Saleem
Love this place in the heart of pikes place market. The tomato pastry and latte are so delicious. Palmiers hearts pastry is flakey and has the right sweetness. Great gift for others back home. Even made my mom black tea with hot milk (hot milk tea) and it was also very good. Highly recommend when in the area!
Arielle
I've been coming here since I was a child, and I still make it a stop whenever I'm visiting the market.
Anything you get here will be delicious and fresh, and the variety of options always makes it hard for me to decide.
Neil Adit
Great coffee!
The regular croissant was good. The almond and chocolate croissant is too sweet but the almond dough tastes really good.
Cat V
I got here on a Sunday morning at 915 and the line was about 8 people beyond the door. It took about 30-40 mins to get through the line and order. The pastries here are pretty good and the macarons are big with about 10 flavors to choose from. They also have sandwiches, bread, coffee, and tea. I’ll go back mainly for the macarons which are good but not the best I’ve had.
Irene Kuo
I forgot to take a photo. Ate the Chocolatine too quickly. I wish I had asked to heat it up or that they reminded me to 😂 it would’ve been so much better. But still delicious regardless!
The pistachio macaron was great!
Amy & Justin Cole Keller Williams (Las Vegas Realtor)
Visited here from out of town since the line was extremely long. Figured it was long for a reason. The lady in front of me said it’s the busiest she has ever seen. It did take awhile to get in there, but once we got it’ll, the service was very good and she was friendly. We got a couple croissants and macaroons. They were all very good and we thought it was reasonably priced. Overall, it was very good. I would recommend.
Marilyn Schiff
The morning pastries were fresh and delicious. Service was always with a smile and knowledgeable about every item. Highly recommended when walking Pikes Market.
Carlos De La Riva
The best place in Pikes Place Market to pick up baked goods and coffee. There can be a line sometimes but it’s definitely worth the wait. The lemon macaroons are the best on the menu 🤤🤤 …
Jenny Su
Very good croissant, flaky, airy, and lots of variety to choose from. However, the kouign amann was not the best I had; the Carmel on top was a little too thick and hard to chew. They also have decent coffee. My favorite item from La Panier was the d’Orsay chocolate cake.
Justin Grant
Éclair noix de coco! Le Panier serves tasty breads, macarons, and pastries à la carte, which engross
the Pike Place air for blocks. While you’re there, make sure to try at least: lemon macaron, a ficelle/baguette, brioche framboise (raspberry preserve filled croissant), and of course, their heavenly éclair noix de coco! Coffee is also served here. 😋
C Finigan
I love Le Panier's macarons and pastries! They are so delicious. I live in California, but I first tried Le Panier last year and the macarons and pain au Chocolat and they were delicious. Now whenever I visit Seattle, I now visit Le Panier and get their macarons. Love Le Panier and recommend a visit there.
Anh Phuong Le
One of the few in the US which can match Paris's baguette
Faisal H.
Amazing bakery, with the line out the door. Excellent customer service and out of the world authentic French pastries their lil ball thingies are just mouth watering irresistible taste of pure yum! French bread is A1. Call ahead and they’ll hold it for you. Worth the wait in line!
Erlea Flores
delicious pastries and coffee in a very cute little shop. delightful staff, even when it got very busy! highly recommend
Lauren Ashbee
Great little French bakery and cafe. My husband had a delicious almond croissant (almondine? I think it was called). My Americano was tasty but it wasn't very hot, just lukewarm. I would prefer to give this restaurant 4.5 starts, but there is not the option.
I would go back, but I would make sure to request a hotter coffee.
Brian Williams
Best French bakery in Seattle. Almond croissant are my favorite. The line moves fast and its well worth waiting.
Andrew Landis
Wow! Great combination of sweet and savory pastory items. Loved the almond croissant, crispy and flacky with an almond paste inside. Also really enjoyed the ham and cheese. It was all very good. They also made a nice latte to enjoy as well. Just a great spot right next to Pikes market.
Allison Beecher
Le Panier is a nice french bakery at Pike's place. The line winds through the store past the pastry cases so you get to admire all the treats while you wait to complete your purchase. We tried an almond chocolate croissant which was light, fluffy, flaky, sweet, and delicious! It was crowded, so we were only able to snag 1 chair between the 2 of us.
Therdsak Suthanaviroj
01/26/19: 5.0 out of 5 - Traveling from Portland, OR to Seattle, WA with my wife and mother-in-law for the weekend, Let Panier is ALWAYS A MUST STOP.
There is typically always a line, but it seems to go pretty fast. Once you pick out what you want and pay, it is the seating part that can be a challenge as you should only be able to Seattle after you paid. Unfortunately, that isn't always the case. Just be aware of that.
Let Panier always seems to provide variety of choices, especially French pastries. There seems to be something for everyone, and it has always been very tasty.
Overall, the food and service is just topnotch! Although we are there for the weekend, we will be stopping by again before we get on our way back to Portland, Oregon.
If you have the opportunity to stop and try this place, definitely do try this place out once and decide for yourself. Let Panier didn't disappoint us.
Enjoy!
Amanda Rice
I love love love their pastry! The ham/cheese croissants is just perfection. They keep them on a warm plate so it is ready to eat right as they serve it. Their coffee is also great. I got an iced coffee and my friend got an almond latte. Great breakfast or snack and in an awesome location right by the market.
Corrina Coatney
I would honestly travel to Washington from Ohio just to go to this bakery if I could. This was by far the best pastries I’ve ever tried and the macaroons were the perfect taste/texture/temperature. Everything was fresh and the service was wonderful + I didn’t feel that the prices were unreasonable. 5/5 for sure!!
Patrick Conlan
Market classic - great pastries (my raspberry jam croissant was fresh and flakey) and good coffee. Great place to take a break and people watch.
Y L
Very nice pastries and good service
Sam
Absolutely wonderful! Good prices and stellar quality and great staff. Highly recommended! Especially the pain au chocolate.
Edwin Planas
Great French bakery in the Pike Place area. Full most of the time but worth the wait. The have sandwiches made with fresh ingredients. Sweets and savory pastries. Great coffee, better than the other place ,if you appreciate a great coffee this is better. On the board next to the barista you can see the feature pastries that are available sometimes like the Joanna of Arc, a must have if is available.
Sonia Ramrakhiani
My first trip to Seattle and my Uber driver recommended this place so I decided to check it out on a Sunday morning. The line wasn’t too bad, took about 10 ish minutes to get to the front. I ordered a chocolate croissant and a spinach epinard along with a cassis macaroon. The chocolate croissant wasn’t warm and I had asked if they could warm it for me and they said no. The spinach Epinard was warm. I wish they had heated up the chocolate croissant some since I like melted chocolate, and it’s not difficult to do, hence the 4 star.
Marcie Killian Connally
The almondine is life changing. Order a London Fog and take your treats across the street to the market deck to enjoy in the fresh air and sunshine
Georgina Neave
When visiting Seattle's Pike Place Market, do not miss stopping in at Le Panier Cafe. It is about as authentic a French bakery you will find outside of France. Delicious pastries, au jambon baguette sandwiches and of course excellent cafe au lait. Lines are usually long so get there early for breakfast which tends to be quieter. Not a lot of seating.
J C
If you are looking for fresh fruit tarts or pastries with a cup of coffee, look no further. Le Panier has the best baguette and croissants. Not only they have pastries, but they also have macarons, cakes, meringues, homemade cookies, etc.
Le Panier is conveniently located in the Pike Place Market. They use Umbria coffee beans. The window seats get a lot of sunshine. The seatings are limited, though. Le Panier is a must-visit!
Tips: There is no trash can in the cafe. Bus your table into the bussing trays next to the water fountain.
Andrew Lee
I haven't been to Le Panier since I was a kid, so I was glad I finally visited as an adult. I was at Pike Place at the crack of dawn and decided to make Le Panier my first stop when they opened at 7am on a Sunday. They had not put out the baguettes and most other breads, but many pastries and savory items had been put out already. During my first visit, I ordered a chocolatine and a broccoli feuilleté to eat there. The chocolatine had a generous helping of chocolate bars in the middle and was flaky and tasted great. The broccoli feuilleté was one of the best things I've eaten recently. The filling was rich and went great with the broccoli. The crust was very flaky as well - a great sign. After walking around Pike Place a little more I figured I should go back to get a baguette before I left for the day. The line was considerably longer at 8am understandably but many more items had been added. I ordered a baguette, roast beef baguette sandwich, and a jar of raspberry jam. The baguette was nicely made and a great price at just $2.90. The baguette sandwich was a good meal as well. Finally, the raspberry jam was just as I remembered it from my youth and I have been happily spreading it on bread since getting it. Pike Place does have tourist traps and while Le Panier gets busy, it is well worth the wait.
david lee
The food was fresh and soft, with a perfect sweetness to it. The Raspberry croissants was warm and flaky.
Bon Manhkong
This bakery is great! Pastries, sandwiches and coffee are absolutely amazing!!! Must go! Friendly service. Line moves by fairly quickly. Forget Starbucks.
Liv Birkhead
Incredible bakery, super lovely staff who were very friendly both times I went in. The chocolate croissant was 10/10.
Joshua Hedani
Oh good grief, everything Tastes soooo darn good. The coffee is just delicious without any syrups. Love this little shop.
Alfonso R.
Fantastic little French bakery by Pikes Market. Tried a slice of pear, hazelnut, almond pie and it was absolutely delicious. Macaroons were great too. Melt in your mouth stuff.
Jan Ciganik
Great pastries and bread at a very reasonable price. Plan your journey carefully though, it is usually very busy!
Tony Yang
The puff pastries are amazing, but I wish I could say the same for the sweet ones. While the chocolate croissant was good, I didn't like the cherry tart pie. Both types of pastries are very flaky and buttery, it's just that the sweet ones aren't amazing. The coffee is also pretty strong if you like it that way. I guess the price is on par with surrounding vendors considering the location, but everything at Pike's Place is pricey.
Debra Johnson
While I have not tried the food we have ordered to go the service was phenomenal. It reminded me of the cute bakeries we went to in London. I will update the post if it changes after we enjoy our treats. They have both sweet and savory options.
Sejin Zhao
Amazing amazing pastry and coffee!!! So highly recommend apricot croissants it’s heavenly. Location is so nice. But most importantly breakfast there is the perfect perfect start for a day!!!!!!
Jasmine Arnold
Delicious breads and desserts! The line was long but moved quickly. Pretty decent prices as well. I ordered a macaroon assortment ($2 each) and a loaf a demi bread ($2-$3). I didn't eat the bread right away, but it was a little crunchier than I expected, but was still good. The macaroons were good (I ate some the next day). The caramel is my favorite so far. The staff was great too.
fraulein casigan
Expect a line to grab exquisite french pastries but don't let it deter to not try it. You'll regret not checking it out yourself. The fresh baked croissants, tarts and such are absolutely wonderful. Sweet and tasty with a good amount of buttery goodness baked into these amazing morsels for foodies like myself. Definitely can't skip on this place!
Russell J Sasaoka Jr
Great fresh baked goods. The Macarons were excellent. The vanilla and chocolate eclairs were not overly sweet and light, not heavy like a typical custard filled éclair.
arun ramakrishnan
December 2021: Great selections, authentic taste, friendly staff, streamlined ordering process (especially during pandemic).
Gets busy on weekends leading to 20 to 30 minute wait in line.
Laura Alexandra
I loved the palmiers! Even though this place is always super busy, the people who take our orders always give us a great service
Adam Howard
This is absolutely the best french bakery I have been to. Everything they serve is absolute perfection. I have eaten here probably 10 times and tried a variety of food & drinks and have never not been totally impressed. The staff are really friendly given how busy they always are. They are also very efficient and can move people quick enough that you shouldn't let a line out of the door intimidate you.
Mel Fellrath
Delicious treats! A bit expensive, but worth it. Great service and lots of options, including GF options as well!
Kubra Akinci
We ordered many different types of dishes, I highly recommend Feuilléte Epinard ! Love it!
RKFilms
A cute high quality authentic French bakery, with some incredible tarts, baguettes, croissants, and the best pain au chocolate I have found in the city. Expect to pay for the experience though, as the items are certainly priced high at $5+ per item
We Stan
Very fresh, well-priced items and a nice location. When I️ walked in with my family to take refuge from the biting cold, it was a perfect little refuge. The workers are all very friendly and the food is beautiful.
Danielle Rogers
They have, legit, the best crossaints in all of the whole Emerald City. I spend 40 dollars every time I go in, just because I can't decide and walk out with a lil bit of everything and a coffee. So good.
Chewy Ryan
Amazing bakery. They have the best pastries I have ever eaten.
Leica G
Traditional French breads, pastries and coffee. Plus a bunch of happy crew serving customers. Place is small and has very limited seating on high chairs. If you get a window seat, it’s quite fun to enjoy your cuppa and watch the busy crowd outside
Yas. A.
Delicious sweets and pastries. Friendly staff and fast service. A little pricey but the quality is really good. One thing I would like to mention is that the water dispenser seemed like it hasn't been refilled for several hours since we can see clean cups left next to it probably from customers who wanted some water but couldn't. It wasn't busy at all during my last visit at around 5 pm on a Monday.
David Ding
Excellent place to grab a fabulous french breakfast! They have a full bakery with Macaroons, Baguettes, and all sorts of pastries - including the croissant du chocolat - accompanied by an full brew of coffees. I ordered the croissant du chocolat, tarte aux peches, and a true cafe macchiato. One of the most authentic breakfasts I had: the croissant was flaky and soft! Highly recommended to others as a place that could pass for food snobs!
Dev Sadek
Worth the wait. The line was out the door! My favorite macaron was the pistachio flavor. Highly recommend if you are visiting Seattle.
Aaron Book
After about a 45 minute wait on a Sunday morning and smelling fresh baked bread for even longer, finally got inside and saw the amazing products. The staff had it worked out to a T to maximize flow. The almond pastries and chocolate pastries were worth the wait.
Kira Shuman
Lovely little french bakery. It has delicious pastries and tarts, not to mention fresh bread. We ended up with a sample box of every macron flavor, a lemon tart, and a loaf of bread. The workers were very helpful and friendly, and this was the only restaurant we found that actually had a standing table for people to stand and eat.
Jameela Khaja
Best French Bakery. PISTACHIO ECLAIR AND CHOCOLATE ALMOND CROISSANT 🥐 are so freaking good. Also got some baguettes, spreads, and macaroons to go as souvenirs. Can’t wait to try them. …
Shae Belle
The coco tastes like my grandfather's decrepit a$$ smells but literally everything else tastes bomb as hell.
Shahid Kamran
Best French bakery in downtown Seattle. Must try place for macaroons.
Kayla MLS
Started our second morning in Seattle here, and it was the highlight of the day. The wild strawberry and passionfruit macarons were to die for. Beautifully fresh breads, pastries, and pies. Get here as early as possible because when the line begins, it is huge but certainly well worth the wait!
Sophia Mai
This is one of the bakery I hold dear to my heart. It locates right in the middle of Pike Place Market. The pastries are REAL Parisian pastries <3 with quite elegant and charming taste. Enjoy sweet or savory is up to you. If you are visiting Seattle, this place is a must try.
Sherry Hamill
We got a seat! We have been coming here for over twenty years, and that doesn't always happen. Le Panier is consistently good. It's crazy-busy and not a place to linger, but it's so worth both the inconvenience and calories. One of our favorite items that is easy to overlook is the baguette with ham and butter. And it's always marvellous to take home a bag of palmiers.
Josh Wickstrom
We shared raspberry and apricot croissants. We also had the Tartelette Citron and Hamon Mornay. We had a mocha that was rich and almost savory. It went well with the sweet treats we had. The staff is friendly. We would go again.
Foodstaham
Almond pastry, amandine, is awesome. See picture. The chocolate version is sweeter and the chocolate is like a mousse texture and flavor. I prefer the regular one.
Dhruv Patel
While it is a bit pricey due to location, I found the pasteries there to be quite delicious. I got some macaroons (which tasted like macaroons, nothing extra ordinary). I also got their pistachio eclair which was delicious, a good mix of creaminess and bread. The London Fog tea (Earl Grey with "fog" on top) was also pretty good.
Bottom line: better than candy to satisfy your sweet tooth
Jiman Lee
Fell in love with this place 15 years ago on our first visit to the First Starbucks. I tell people "take pictures at Starbucks to say you went, but order at Le Panier because the pastries are gonna blow your mind." I see people passing by do double takes because the smell is that good - the taste is even better. Couple that with the friendly staff, and you have a very satisfied customer.
Carla Asquith
Consider myself somewhat of a macaron "officianado"... these were the best I've ever had. Incredibly light, melt in your mouth, not overpoweringly sweet, PNW and French inspired flavors. Don't miss the wild strawberry.
Oh... and the Jambon Mornay was DELIGHTFUL.
Ashley
Great spot to people watch and grab a wonderful light flakey pastry. The lattes were great and there is nothing quite like watching Pike Place Market shoppers from the cozy confines of a warm french cafe. The only wish I have for this location is power outlets to recharge phones/ laptops. If they have any available to the public it was well hidden. Prices for a latte and raspberry croissant was $5-6 and both left me wanting more. ☕️
Claudia Reyes
Best bakery in Seattle… I am forever obsessed with the peach pie and macaroons. Love everything they have. This is a must to visit while you visit Seattle.
Douglas Lambert
Great food, great service!
French bread, sandwiches, croissants and pastries.
Get a coffee to go along with your pastry and feel almost like you're in a Paris bistro
Ellen Kee
Visiting Le Panier is a highlight in my week. Locals and visitors love the authentic pastries that have been made consistently at this location for over 36 years. My favorites are the raspberry croissants and the paté baguette. Found at Pike Place Market, this is at the heart of Seattle. I love to surprise my friends and family with treats from Le Panier because it really is... The best bakery and cafe in Seattle.
Garnet Shepherd
The best French bakery in town. Get the lemon tart - it's like a mini lemon meringue pie. Expect a line, and the choicest stuff does sell out.
Feb
Absolutely love this place! I got a Pear Chocolate Tart, a Napoleon, and a Chocolate Eclair. They were super delicious! Would like to back this place again to try more bakery stuff.
Updates on Nov 2020:
The food here is still great, but the store didn't care about social distancing at all. No one there kept customers 6ft away from each other. The customers who stood behind us were super close. Don't feel safe and comfortable to come back.
Updates on Jan 2022:
Bought a slice of galette des rois and got the feve.
Sanjana J
Croissant and Napoleon are my all time fav.
Roy Chen
I went during snow season so lines were nonexistent. Grabbed a turkey sandwich ($6) that was pretty good because the baguette was freshhhh. Friand was also real nice...buttery, perfect amount of sweetness. Wish I had saved a sip of my coffee for it!
eddie c
Legit little French breakfast bistro. Come hungry but expect to stand in a long line. I highly recommend the spinach epinard.
Troy Ferrell
Fantastic French pastry/bakery/coffee shop! Always a must stop for me anytime I make my way by Pike place market. Decent prices and good quality offerings. Their tarts are a personal favorite!
Crystal Wiebe
Oh my goodness! This is greatest place for pastries and treats in all of North America. I actually don't mind driving three hours to pick people up from the airport in Seattle just so that I can come by and get some goodies. The Almondine is my absolute favorite! The line up can be long sometimes but it's totally worth the wait!
Bianca Xu (Bianca)
Five stars for the best Napoleon Cake I have ever had lol! Love the taste of the cream, not too sweet, rich flavor and great texture! Their latte was also good (why bother waiting in line for 20 min at the first Starbucks few steps away when you can have a nice cup of coffee here!?) The staff were very nice and friendly also.
Kassie T
Absolutely fantastic macarons, a MUST TRY! My favorite was the pistachio. We also tried epinard (spinach pastry) which was generously stuffed and delicious as well.
Nadya (French bakery research)
THE BEST BAKERY. PERIOD.
True authentic French pastries. The one in the picture IS A MUST!
Even if you have extremely high expectations - it will deliver 100%!
Will have to come back to Seattle JUST TO VISIT THIS PLACE AGAIN 😃
Tom Wilson
This is my favorite French bakery shop in Seattle. I love their chocolate croissant and roule. They have also good coffee. Bakeries are fresh and tasty. Only downside is not much seating to enjoy food.
Hector Villarica
Now this is how coffee should be done!!! Amazing taste cup of java with matching freshly baked croissants. Service was amazing and vibe was fantastic! Will definitely go back again when I come back to Seattle. Thanks for a great experience ❤
Gouri Deshpande
The best almond croissant I've had. Fresh, not too sweet, filled with a mildly sweet almond paste, topped with almond halves and shavings. I don't mind waiting a bit in the queue for this. Totally worth it. I highly recommend trying this. I've tried almond croissants at other nearby places too, but this is much better.
Sarah Perkins
La Panier is a great bakery, my favorite on pike for savory goods. I stopped back here multiple times when I was in town. The flakey meat and cheese pastries are phenomenal. The bacon, cheese and potato one (Dauphinois) would be my recommendation as a must try. Their macaroons are amazing as well, try the Pistachio! Super friendly staff and they move quickly. Even if there's a long wait they get through it fast.
Jordan Cheek
The heavenly smells lured us in and did not disappoint. Cinnamon roll was our fave, baked to perfection!
Aly B.
I drool just thinking about this place. Stand in line. It's worth it. I recommend any of the croissants and a vanilla latte to go.
G C
Very friendly staff. IMO gold standard on customer service. Very popular during weekend (eadily 20+ mins wait) so we tried to come first thing in the morning or towards the end of the day to enjoy their delicious bake goods and coffee.
Megan Maier
Great location with an open front window. Coffee was delicious and the pastries were wonderful. A lovely place to visit. Service was nothing exceptional, but not bad either.
Shipra Behera
Always felt food-fomo whenever we crossed this place cuz of the insane queue around the corner of pike market. Decided to go for it and see what the rave is all about. Yup, it just reinforced my belief that follow the herd when it comes to food xD
The macaroons were simply delightful! They have a variety of flavors and my favorites were orange, passion and pistachio. Also tried the cafe and caramel but I prefer the fruity ones more. Got some orange flavored cookies and they really stood out well. I'm definitely coming back here to try their other baked goodies.
Alfonso
Best croissants I have had in the US in 2 and a half years. On the flip side, there's quite long lines.
Ishali Tiwari
Whenever I've been to pike place, I've always seen this place bustling. Even during COVID times, you'll find a long queue here, which is why I never gave it a shot despite its reputation. But the wait is totally worth it! I had the best croissant of my life here. Can't wait to try more of their offerings.
Pui See Chung
I fell in love with this bakery. You know that feeling when you walk into a shop and you just feel welcomed and cozy like home? This is how I describe the bakery and the staff there. All of the staffs are friendly, bakery items are fresh and really delicious. This has become my weekend early morning routine, driving about 45 minutes round trip to get their feuilletes and choquettes.
Jerry Perks
Oh my gosh! The best croissants and pastries in Seattle. The baguette I bought for dinner was fantastic as well. The staff is super efficient and very friendly. Close to impossible to walk by their shop without getting a huge pastry & bread craving.
Aaron Lascano
This place is so good. I would not get the meringue again. It was not the best, but the Koign-Amann was so so good. The Dauphinois was one of the best things.
Julie K
One of my favourite cafes in Pike Place! I always visit this cafe every time I visit Seattle and purchase their coffee beans. They are very efficient and their baked goods & coffee are awesome.
Mikael Mikail
Today, I visit Le Panier first time and I literally loved this amazing place. “Joan of ark” it was something😋. Highly recommended, pls try it. It tastes heavenly. Love it. Also, super friendly team. Great place. Le Panier, now is my favorite bakery! …
Boo Bees
This place is awesome. The lady that took care was amazing and friendly even though it was the end of their shift and I'm sure they are all tired. There is a long line through out the day. Had the merengue and macaroons and both were tasty!!
Raj Shah
The French loafs are delicious. I've tried the baguette and it's variations that they have. Crispy on the outside and soft inside. The croissants are very good as well. Generally there's a long queue to get in but it moves quickly so about 5-10 minutes of wait time.
Olimpia C
Bread galore! Made sure to come here several times before going home to LA. Absolutely love the chamignons feuilletes and macarons!!
Palvali Teja
Great croissants and macarons. You won't go wrong with anything here. Right in the middle of pike place market. Expect long lines.
Irlanda Garcia
I’m in awe with this place! I’ve lived in Seattle my entire life and ever since I was 4yrs old I’ve been coming here. The macarons have to be the best in the U.S. I’ve been to several places in LA, NY, Chicago, and Portland and nothing compares to these. I come here every 2ish weeks, when I can. I buy a bunch of Crossiants because they are AMAZING! My pup loves them also. I can’t train him with anything else but these buttery Crossiants. He is a true French poodle. The prices obviously have gone up considerably since I was 4. Everyone is always super nice and superb!
I would love to move away from Seattle, but Le Panier is one of those places holding me back. I even got high cholesterol from their breves. This place means more than just a whatever French place as other reviewers have stated.
(My ex is Parisian and I brought him here and the French restaurant—Cafe Champagne—and he loved them all. He even stated that they tasted very very similar to his favorite shop in Paris.)
Truly, would give this place more than 5 stars!
Claudia Aragon
Best French bakery!! We tried a couple desserts 🤤😋 and I can't describe how delicious was all!! …
Kimbo Jaur
Great coffeee and pastries. My brosef and I really enjoyed the passion fruit macaroons!!
Diana Nguyen
You have to come here.
There’s usually a long line but it moves. It also gives you time to pick what you want. We got a few macaroons, an almond croissant and a raspberry croissant.
My sister loved the almond croissant so much that she ate it all and didn’t share haha. She shared that it reminded her of her favorite croissant back home in Boston.
I really enjoyed the macaroons ($2 each) and the raspberry croissant. Would happily come back.
Richard Mullin
When I got there I was a little dismayed because there was a line wrapping around the corner. While it was moving it certainly wasn't quick, that being said it was absolutely worth the wait.
I got a crossaint ( which I ate too fast to realize I didn't take a picture) 3 macrons and a apple pastry.
The crossaint was far and away the best crossaint I've ever had. My only experience is from American crossaint but still I have had a fair few of them in my life. It was almost glassy. Every later had the slightest crunch but wasn't overwhelming, the buttery flavor was there but again wasn't overwhelming. All in all the only thing overwhelmed were my expectations. Like I said the line was long so I was becoming irritated. This removed any sort of irritation and replaced it with contentedness.
After the crossaint Le panier followed strong with the macrons. While they were not heads and shoulders better than other macrons I've had they were all exceptionally good. I got caramel which had an amazing salty flavor, vanilla which had me reaching back to all the times I've encountered vanilla and loved the flavor and pistachio, which in my opinion didn't taste like pistachio but was lovely nonetheless.
I had the apple pastry last. In hindsight that was probably a mistake. I'm sure if I had eaten it first there would have been a creshendo effect, where everything was getting better. But this was the worst of the lot. Not that it was bad but the crispy "glass-like" quality the crossaint had was all but gone and replaced with a slightly soggy bottom. The apple flavor was very nice however.
Overall I loved the pastries here, they were fast(once inside) and all tasted very fresh( minus the apple pastry). I highly reccomend it if you are in pikes place.
Oluwafemi Daniel Iselaiye
Nice pastries... Good place
Beatrice Wong
Queue moves quickly despite busy traffic. Friendly services. Reliable coffee and pastry selection.
Gidd 360
Best french bakery in the area. Well worth the wait and we went back multiple times.
あきらっくすいわもっち
Nice location in the middle of the Pike Market near the 1st Starbucks. Amandine was great and Rasberry Brioche too!
Recommend to go just before the store opening to avoid congestion.
Andrew Jaru
Great little cafe that's not terribly busy. If you need a reprieve from the bustle of the market. The baked goods all look heavenly and the inside is warm and clean
Tammy Rhiness
Best coffee and treats. From macaroons to filled brioche. We loved everything we tried, wish I had it here in CO.
Daniel Carter
Completely changed my expectations for what good pastries are! Coming here for one of their delicious chocolate croissants and a latte has become one of my favorite things to do.
Stephanie
I came to know what a great macaroon is in this place. So fresh and the right amount of sweetness. Not only do they have incredible macaroons but they also have a varied of other pastries and breads that will knock your socks off. You can't go wrong for sweets in this place!
Serina Gee
This is my third time here and it's amazing every time. Right in the heart of Pike Place, it's a great little spot to rest up, people watch, and eat delicious pastries with a cup of coffee. It can get a little crowded, so I usually go towards the end of the day.
Dawson Jung
I got an iced vanilla latte and a Joan of Arc. The vanilla latte was very good, not too sweet like other places with a very rich coffee flavor. And the Joan of Arc (which is Chocolate Mousse and Almond Merengue) was very rich and soft, and it just melts in your mouth. The staff were also very friendly as well.
Woo Z
I picked a bad day to visit Le Panier, Espresso machine not working.. :/
but the bakery items were yum..
Matthew Seed
The finest of french bakeries. Exquisite, perfection of confection steals my affection when I head that direction. I have been coming here for 30 years and it is so consistently the highlight of my trips to Pike Place Market. I have so many memories and every one of them is beautiful and vibrant and a reminder that you can take time to smell the roses and still glide through the hustle and bustle of life
Lisa Frazier
This a a great French bakery! We went there while on vacation and got some of their macarons. They were FABULOUS!! Friendly staff, too!
Spidey __
If you get lost, don't worry! Just let the heavenly smells guide you down the street to this cute little bakery! Not a fan of macaroons, but after all the suggestions to go here we stopped by while exploring Pikes! We showed up right before they closed and they were out of almost everything! If you don't want to settle for a passion fruit macaron make sure you go when they open!
Harita Jagad
I went to Le Panier on a weekday morning. There were very few people there and everything looked so fresh! Tried the spinach puff pastry, ham cheese sandwich and the almond croissant which was amazing! Sure the place is a little expensive but absolutely worth a visit
IceRocker
Incredible bakery and cappuccino in the heart of Pike Place Market ❤ so glad we made the stop!
Joanne Schmutz
I've never been a big fan of macaroons until now. This was so moist and not dry at all. Absolutely delicious. Would have given five stars but the wait was way too long.
Josh Chen
Good Macarons with reasonable price. Also lots of other choices. Always has a line waiting to order.
Speedi Gonzalez
Macaroons were fabulous
Kevin Shiel
Well worth the early morning lineups, we tried a little selection of savory and sweet items that really got the day off to a good start. The ham and cheese is fantastic!
Bita Foroughi
The most delicious Panier (cheese) I've ever tasted!!
It's awesome!
Must have been tried!!!
The cheese sandwich is a door to the new world!
Albany
Amazing place! Amazing staff! Amazing food! Seriously, usually food places too close to tourists spots are never that good, but this is the exception to the rule. I tried the macaroons (pistache), chocolatine and the D’Orsay chocolate cake (my very favorite from now on) probably one of the best (if not the very best) chocolate cake I’ve tried in the US (not so easy to find good cakes here). Looking forward to come back and try new things but also get more cake🥳
Jarielys Hernandez
This place is awesome! Croissants galore. Our sales associate was so attentive and I forgot to get her name but she has round glasses and short black hair. I loved her and she needs a raise! She was so helpful in helping us pick out amazing goodies. So fresh and absolutely delicious.
Hömma 09
Get in line early for authentic French pastries and great coffee. The staff is fast and friendly, very popular store. Just too many homeless around, an American pandemic.
T. Scott Brandon
Polite, helpful staff, orderly and efficient ordering process. No dining in right now (December 2021) but easy to carry out. Went in yesterday morning to get some pastries for breakfast and left with a large shopping bag full of deliciousness. Went back today to try the things we missed yesterday. Pastries and baked goods are yummy beyond belief--the Napoleon is especially amazing!
Dalin Ashworth
Most fantastic French bakery on Pike Street. Really wish they had more little shops and bakeries like this one in SLC. Missing the decadent buttery sweet flavor of their Almandine croissant already. Would have bought a dozen or more but I don't have room in my luggage or carry-on.
Nick G
Couldn't pronounce anything but it tasted good. We were waiting for some friends who were coming across town and had to wait and not fall victim to the wonderful smells coming out of the bakery. When they finally got there we got in a long line but it moved quite fast. Seemed like the whole time we were outside there was a line at least to the door! The staff handled everything very quickly and was very nice and friendly as well. Super yummy!
Craig Prater
Good selection of French pastries here that are always made fresh in the morning. Being in the Pike Place Market, the prices aren't that bad either. Grab some before your flight back home.
AG
It's a good bakery. Freshly made but overcrowded.
I like 'The French Bakery' more. But definitely a place to go to at least once.
Paula G.
Everything here is fresh and delicious, which explains the queue that moves quite quickly! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I haven’t actually tried their savory baked goods but I bet they’re good too. As for sweets, my personal favorites are the raspberry croissant and the raspberry brioche, but honestly it’s all perfect. I come to Seattle every year and I hadn’t come here before this trip but I wish I had! Now I know it’s somewhere I must stop haha.
Brad Razzaghi
Best pastries and fresh bread! Perhaps only a few other places around the country like it!
M L
The d’orsay cake and fresh macaroons are heavenly. And it costs about the same as a ticket to heaven, too.
Sarah Cerda
Amazing dessert, bread, and pastries! There’s a large selection, and the staff were really friendly.
David Cabrera
Always visit this place when in the vicinity. Usually get the dauphinois and the chouquette, with a cappuccino on the side.
Michael Norris
Excellent place, and taking every precaution during Covid. Masks only, social distance and 2 guests served max at a time. Still very short line despite the restrictions
Taylor Breum
A simply lovely place. Amazing food and the owners are some of the best people I’ve even met
Subrat Behera
Perhaps the best coffee and bakery munchies on Pike Street. It's right beside the original first Starbucks of the world.
Gabriel Pratico
Yummy pastries and not too crowded, especially for so close to Pike Place.
Percy Pomeroy
This place is worth the trip to Seattle. I would give 10 stars if possible. I’m on vacation in Seattle and am now a regular customer. I will now visit this place every time I am in town. Great selection, friendly staff.
Brian Schmitz
I used to live in the neighborhood and after I dropped my daughter off at the Pike place market preschool I'd do this, grab a latte and a pastry and enjoy while I watched the market come alive. Whenever I come back I try to do the same thing. This time it was for the 2019 MLS Cup. Go Sounders!!! This time I stopped by for the CCL final. #EBFG
Reverend Mark Johnson
Most authentic French pastries since my Paris adventure!!!! YUMMY!
Heather Steinmiller
Le Panier never disapoints! I come here every time I visit Seattle - *everything* is just so delicious, and reminds me so much of France. They now have kouign aman, and Breton specialty, and also choquettes, which I don't often see in the states. Macarons are to die for, and the meringues are bundles of yumminess. All the employees are helpful and friendly. Absolutely love this place!
Jenny Olszowy
The smell of butter as you walk in the bakery is intoxicating. I loved everything I tried, which included: Pistachio Eclair, Choquettes, Chocolate Hazelnut Cookie. The woman who waited on me was very nice and informative. I highly recommend visiting while at the Pike Place Market in Seattle .
Elizabeth
We stopped by on Saturday, January 22nd. The selection was already picked over, but lots of good things still left. I created a sampler box in order to try a number of things. The pastries were fresh, and delicious. The girl taking care of me was taking her time, making sure that my fragile purchases were wrapped properly....this I appreciated, so I then understood the wait. The only thing that I am not happy about, is about 1/3 of my order was missing....half of my macarons, and a piece of chocolate mousse cake were missing...I am thinking a small box was not put in with our order. Very disappointing!!!! By all means try this bakery...the pastries are fabulous...but inspect what you are taking home.
Kristie Golden
Wow, just so much to choose from. I don't think you can go wrong with anything there.
The marionberry tart and the sugar pearl eclair was awesome.
Rainy day? Who cares, so much under cover or outside.
Triss Hayden
Must try for travelers. There are no words to describe how good the croissants at Le Panier are. Try a selection if you can and share with your group if you're traveling.
Marissa Lenger
So good and worth the wait! It was my first time visiting Pike Place Market and Le Panier was one of the first places I walked by that caught my eye. It had a very long line but I decided to tough it out. Their macarons brought me back to my time in Paris and my family loved their pastries!
Kathleen Thompson
This place. Is. Amazing. You can smell the fresh baked bread from about a block away, which is probably why the line stretches around the building. Even so, our 20-ish minute wait was well worth it. The friendly staff was quick and informative about the area, and to top it off the butter croissants were perfect. My husband and I have been to Paris and we honestly prefer these!
Don’t be fooled either; even though you can’t smell it, they have extraordinary coffee where you can actually taste the flavor of the beans.
All in all, 5 amazing stars. If we are ever in Seattle again, this stop is a MUST!!!

Recommend the croissants and macaroons. We got raspberry croissants and lemon and coffee macaroons. Everything was delicious. We got there early at around 11am, already a line out the door! People buy in bulk so they sell out fast. It’s very busy inside but well decorated. No indoor seating at this time.
Alex Lee
This place is delightful! Not everything I thought it would be but I can see why people wait for it. Definitely been the cloestest thing to Italian I ever had so far
Angela Roy (Travel Tech)
Line was not bad to get in. We purchased sandwiches and macaroons. Price was really good for what we got and the food was top notch! Would recommend and visit again.
Faraha Hasan
The staff here is great with COVID-19 restrictions. They made sure we were all 6 feet apart in line and moved the line very quickly. We came around mid-afternoon, and it took us about 15 minutes to get inside. The staff was very nice and helpful. We got a caramel macaroon (great!), meringue (not good, but I think we decided we did not like meringue, so nothing to do with the quality of the bakery), and a chocolate almond croissant (AMAZING). I highly recommend dropping by this place when you visit Pike Place Market. We went on a Monday, and lines weren't too long.
Lisa W
Waited in a long line for so so pastries. Pan au chocolat not that good according to one in our party. The other pastries were not memorable. The coffee was not bad. Less sour than many in Seattle. What’s with the sour espresso Seattle?
Samuel Razzell
2nd best macrons I’ve had in Washington and rivals many places elsewhere. People inside were friendly despite having to deal with tourists all the time (and the stress of COVID!!). I loved the bread and my wife loved the sandwiches.
M S
A very good bakery with long lines. The line moves fast. The Pain au Chocolate (like a chocolate croissant) and Amandine (almond croissant) are our family's go to treats. They don't allow indoor seating but rather keep the crowd to a single side for covid purposes. Very good.
Carla Bates
They have very good pastries. I noticed lots of people ordering sandwiches. I will try a sandwich next time as this time they sold out.
Jennifer Brennan
If you're close to Pike's Place Market, and need any kind of a carbohydrate or French pastry fix - you shouldn't miss this place. Pricey and worth every cent (except for the coffee, which is just average).
Nadiya Waterloo
This French style bakery is a must whenever I am in the area. The prices are very reasonable and the fresh baked goodies are delicious. They offer a variety of croissants, breads, and macarons, as well as café style drinks. Visit early in the morning before the line gets too long!
Joey Chung
For the 45 minute wait, I’ve had better pastries even in the US (at least for the croissants and brioche). However, the baguette is quite good and the macarons aren’t bad either. Since it’s very close to Pikes Place, it’s a good stop anyway.
T. P. (HURTBOTPEGASUS9)
One of the best places to get a mocha. Looking forward to my next visit to Seattle. ❤☕
Shauna Capps
One of my favorite bakeries in town. Has popular favorites like French bread and various croissants, and the most amazing tartines. The dining area isn't a cozy atmosphere for eating leisurely, but you can't do that anywhere right now and they are often too crowded to eat in anyway.
Hyojin Lee
friendly staff, great croissant! I visited here twice while I stayed in Seattle. recommend pain au chocolat! :-) I love it!!
agrim nigam
The ham and cheese pastry was amazing - A must try and I also loved the macaroons.
Irina Roskina
My favorite coffe place in Seattle! Very French cafe! Amazing selection of pastries, cakes, breads! Always come there when in town.
Marlena Grundy
This place is not the same post Covid. It used to be a lovely place to grab a coffee and dessert. Now, it’s take-out only, no tables, no glass coffee cups, no plates.
The one you know
This place is great. Macarons are one of my favorite desserts and if you love them too you know they have to be made just right or they're ruined. I am never disappointed when I come here. Unless of course they're sold out haha. I've had a few of their other pastries which are nice as well such as the croissants.
The line is long, because they're so amazing, and everything is set up a little weird because of the shop's dimensions so think about what you want and when it's your turn be ready and try to tell them in order so they don't have to go back and forth. You'll understand once you get there.
Mark C
Very good pastries and coffee. We had the chocolate croissant and apricot croissant. Both were very good. The vanilla latte was excellent.
Stephanie Brooks
Almond croissant and BLT shown in photos. First time trying their sandwiches, and it was filling, tasty, & made with love. My usual is the almond croissant. A must have! Flavorful and buttery. Grade A! 5★s! Great customer service and friendly staff.
Jack Lewis
This is such an awesome place, the aroma of the bakery calls you in
Elise Frawley
Excellent bakery with coffee. I ordered the raspberry croissant and it was delicious, now I wish I purchased the jam. I also ordered the chocolate croissant and a baguette. Everything was great and the prices were definitely great! Highly recommend.
Jacob Ross
First macaroons I’ve ever had and I was very much not disappointed.
S Ng
Kind of hit and miss here ... their croissants aren't the best but their tarts are decent. They were out of a lot of things today like kouign amann and apricot tart. In general enough items I like that I'll stop in if it's not too busy. They do build a pretty long and slow moving lineup, especially in the mornings when it seems a lot of their staff are working in the back rather than helping customers.
Jeff Williams
I have been to Seattle a few times and another bakery close by use to be my favorite until I visited Le Panier! Get there early for good selection and pastry right out of the oven. Wow, delicious.
Mahsa Dehghan
I really like the smells of the store.
Try Provençale 10/10
Jordyn Trent
I love this bakery!! They have great pasteurized and bread, and then they also do coffee! I always stop here when I go to pikes place
Manish Tejura
If you want to have good macaroons and other baked goods in Seattle this is the place. We tried many different items besides their macaroons .. all were very good 👍. …
CHETHAN GADDAM
An absolute gem of a place. I visit this place every time I’m in Seattle. Please do yourself a favor and try everything in their menu.
Mary Belk
I really like this place. I've got a couple of croissants and Brioche. Delicious! So yummy and fresh.. We were happy with their quality of the bakery products. Highly recommend!
Daniel M.
The staff that work here are always friendly and kind. The food is definitely worth a short wait in line. I love their sandwiches and croissants.
C. Pine
Their baguette is soft like the ones you get from Safeway but chewy. Not exactly crusty French bread as I like it. The pate sandwich is overpriced for what you get and made using the same soft baguette. Reminds me of a Vietnamese bahn mi. And can the landlord please turn on some air conditioner those poor employees are drenched in sweat. Disappointed 😞
Shataghi
The best Almandine I’ve ever had! It melts in mouth with just the perfect amount of sweetness.
Sanchit Batra
Always a pleasure, the food and coffee never disappoints. Every single one of the staff is an a1 human being and deserves a medal, pricing is competitive considering their location and popularity.
Get the normandie! And the macaroons! And the croissants! Oh and don't forget the coffee
Thabata Regiani
We love this place! The smell of fresh baked croissant when you walk in put you instantly on a Parisian mood. Needless to say, their croissants are phenomenal, and so is their jam (I recommend getting a jar to take home with you).
I love their lattes and coffee - and I cannot honestly understand why people go buy Starbucks next door to bring in.
Definitely worth a stop - and the earlier the better, as you'll get fresh pastries and not a lot of tourists.
Paula Bray
We spent six days in Seattle and went to Le Panier three times! There is always a line, but it’s always worth the wait. We loved everything we ordered from the chocolatines and the almond croissants to the turkey baguette sandwich. But the macarons kept us coming back!
Khoi Nguyen
Great French bakery with awesome service
Anca Rizescu
Amazing food and coffee. This is the real deal, French all the way. The only downside is that if you only want coffee you still have to stand in the main line, with everybody else buying food. So, it can take a while. Not sure how good this set up is for business, surely people wanting just one cup of coffee will opt out given the wait
Roger Andersen
Great cafe with French breads and pastries.
Megan Janes
Other than it being super hot in the building, the pastries were wonderful and very tasty!
Timothy
The bread and everything we tried was amazing. So soft and tasted great. Another great stop at the market. We went back multiple times for more.
Hannah Clardy
I came back 2 times while in the city. The Macarons are fabulous, the bread was fresh and perfect. Meringues were also just absolutely crunchy and melty and knock your socks off good. Will come again.
Nada H
I just love this place. I mostly get the savory pastries but also the chocolate almond croissants with a coffee. It's extremely busy at times but the wait is not very long. I wish they had more seating but the space is limited. Their bagged cookies and palmiers are amazing. Everything i tried so far was great (including baguettes). A must try if you're in the Pike Market
Kasey Crick
Always had a line but it goes quick. And that just shows how good the place is. Got a chocolate croissant and some coffee and both were delicious. Good vibe. Might not always have a seat available but probably better to take Togo. Would recommend getting there early as the line just gets longer as more people show up to pikes place market.
Anastasia Capetillo
Don't over think it. Just get anything and it will be absolutely delicious.
Benjamin Chan
Spent around 50 bucks to try almost everything. The croissants are all fire. Light, airy, fluffy, crispy. Got a big loaf of bread, which was also quality. Good fermentation, crispy, clean, and healthy tasting. The macaroons were also excellent. Not a fan of their savory breads, cold and out of place. Most bakeries are one dimensional, chemical like, and bland tasting. La Panier is all about sophisticated flavors and quality. The coffee was good and balanced, but took about 15 minutes. Went on a Saturday, so it's understandable. I'll try to make it on a weekday.
Jeremy Redmond
Food is delicious! Coffee was pretty good too. Employees are super friendly and try to be speedy to move people through. Went on a Saturday morning and it probably took 30 minutes in line to get my order in so don't plan a quick in and out. Prices were actually quite fair for being on Pike's Market area.
Mary Belk
I really like this place. I've got a couple of croissants and Brioche. Delicious! So yummy and fresh.. We were happy with their quality of the bakery products. Highly recommend!
Mo Nadles
This place is so delicious, I don't know where to begin. I visited this bakery during a business trip. I got the macarons - they made great office treats, as well as, indulgent snacks. I'm normally a chocolate girl, but I loved the fruity flavors the best. The passion fruit tartlet was absolutely amazing, and I had it two days in a row. I also had the Napoleon, which was very rich and indulgent, but amazingly delicious. There was a bit of a line the first time I went, but it was so worth it. The second day I went, I went shortly after they opened, which reduced my wait time significantly, and it was much easier to get a seat. If you are with a larger group of people, you probably will not have much luck getting a seat. But again, it is so worth it! Their cappuccinos are really good also, and the staff is very helpful, patient, and friendly.
Matthew Strauss
If you are visiting pikes ace then make sure to stop here for some amazing pastries!
Peter Chung
Freshly baked pastries and croissants are undeniable.
Hae Lee Cho
Great pastry and great customer service!
Renton G
Staff is always friendly and food is great! Besides that this is the only place I know where the pastries actually taste like they do in Europe. Flacky, buttery, fresh. Can't ask for more when it comes to breakfast treats. Coffee is fine, nothing extra ordinary in a city filled with coffee shops.
Mr Wigglez
Always my favorite place to get some good pastries and french bread when I'm in Seattle. Their macarons are pretty good as well. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in town. Coffee is decent and it lets you avoid the usual lines at the "original" Starbucks down the street a bit.
Jimmy W
Every time I take my friends to Pike Place, I always stop by here for macarons! Also, their coffee is especially good! I am surprised each time I ordered a coffee!
Niyat Mehari Efrem
We have been customers for the last 18 years and we’re shocked when they didn’t have water served because it wasn’t required. we love this place but that was disappointing
Corky AJ
I love this place! All of the workers were working very hard and no one was just standing around. The person helping us out was very nice, I had 5 people with me and they made it very quick. I had 2 macaroons and it was very great.
C D
Delicious but everything went up $1-2 on Mercato. Loved the $9 sandwiches for lunch. But $11 for jambon buerre (sp?) is eh.
Amanda Beckett
The staff was friendly and helpful, and the wait time wasn't terribly long at all—though admittedly, I did come by mid-morning, mid-week, during the off-season. They were amply stocked and reasonably priced, which was a relief, as I was making a last-minute Valentine's purchase, and was scrambling somewhat.
We tried several items, and all of them were lovely. Excellent choux pastry, and the balance of flavors was just right in each item. The Napoleon was very slightly too firm, but the flavors overall made up for it. One item had the most delicious rose flavoring either myself or my fiance had ever had!
Doug Stucki
I feel like this is one of, if not the best, bakery in Seattle. Great location in Pike's Place and a good selection of fresh pastries. The coffee is also great, so do yourself a favor and skip Starbucks.
Kristyn Litchfield
The people that work here are sooooo amazing. They make you feel so welcome while also quickly serving you. The pastries, bread, and macaroons are phenomenal!
Khoa Tran
The smells will make you stop by. Everything is great here.
Leah Andrews
The flavors and texture of the pastries are delicate. The coffee is very good. The London Fog, Earl Grey Latte, tastes better here. If you are planning a train trip or a picnic, this is a great place to stop and stock up on food that affirms that life has wonderful things hidden in every pocket.
Kelly Robbins
You will have to wait in line but it is worth it! Delicious french treats and breads. Best macarons I’ve had outside of France.
Reach Locals Digital Marketing
Great place, it smells amazing! Line is around the corner!
Jamie Lott
If you want to feel like you're in Paris, just eat these authentic French pastries. So many to choose from and every one delicious! Savory and sweet, espresso and tea. Lovely.
Millie Wu
I love this place! I just can't get enough of their macaron. I always stop by their place whenever I walk past Pike Place Market. It's a cute little bakery on one of the corner of the busiest markets. It can quite busy so whenever you see no lineup, that's your chance to go spoil yourself with all the baked goods.
Rachel May
I don't even really like bread or macarons. But everything this bakery makes is amazing. The macarons are light and the bread is soft and flaky. They may have just converted me to a bread lover! Try the Citron and raspberry macarons, they are so light and sweet!
Kevin George
Got a palmer, an almond croissant, and few macrons. Macrons were feather soft except the chocolate flavored macron. Super nice service too !
Jonathan Kim
Absolutely one of the best bakeries I've ever been to. The coffee eclairs taste like they're just out of france, and everything else is almost as good, but the macaroons are the real showstopper here. From the moment you penetrate the thin crispy exterior, it feels as if you're biting through a delicious chocolate cloud. It's expensive, but still a small price to pay for a taste of heaven.
Scott Miller
Best Bakery in Seattle, without a doubt. Amandine croissants here are just insanely amazing. Eat them!
Bailey Orozco
Nice place to stop by and grab coffee and some pastries. Everything is good!
Sheetal B
Omg get the Chocolate Eclairs here! They were soft and so fresh! The almond Croissant is also my favorite. The savory foods here are fine. The macaroons look great but they are nothing special. I have tried much better ones at this same price point.
Jeff
Best pastry shop that I visited in Seattle. The staffs are friendly and pastries goes really well with coffee. I don't like pastries when they are too sweet, but the sweetness of Le Panier's macaron and eclair were not heavy at all! If you like nutty pastry, definitely try out eclair pistache.
Kameron Stephens
Absolutely delicious. My first rhubarb pie piece and I enjoyed every bite. The wait was long but moved swiftly, and the employees were kind and swift.
mint leaf
When we got in the store, the line was long but it moved super fast! Got our food and it was delicious :)
Jules
Nothing special about this place, just convenient since it’s next to pike place. I tried the croissant, raisin pastry, chicken and onion pastry, and the ham and cheese.
Croissant tasted like it was left out for awhile, was stale, and pretty small for $3.
The raisin pastry, chicken and onion pastry, and Ham and cheese were better but not something I’d go back to nor recommend.
Phillip Lin
They're always so busy, one of the many stores around Pike Place that has a line out the door. That's the only negative thing about this place, if you're here, be prepared to slow down a bit and wait your turn. The pastries are excellent, and often there's new macaroons to try. The staff are helpful, knowledgeable and a reason many regulars come back so often.
Yully Halim
You get what you pay for...more pricey compare other bakery but it's really worth it. You can smell it from outside the store and the taste very yummy. My favorite at this place is almond croissants.
Eva Dedegkika
Yummy food and excellent coffee!
Mizan Somani
Simply the best. Atmosphere, selection, and prices are just outstanding. Macarons are truly perfect, not too sweet like most American shops, and not kept too cold either. The coffee is not to the standard of their pastries, but is great nonetheless.
J. Hong
Not over the top but decent coffee and bakery.
Charla Chatman
The PERFECT sweet treat... the Josephine Caramel... I’m not a huge fan of super sweet caramel but I gave this lil treat a chance and omg... the soft outer shell is perfect with the light caramel mousse which isn’t too sweet and it also has these little crunchies near the lower portion of the base soft shell... SO GOOD! A quality culinary experience in my mouth!!!!
Karreno Alexanyan
If you're looking for a lovely atmosphere and delicious breakfast, Le Panier is the place to be. Located across from Pike place, this French Cafe has everything you need to hit all your sweet spots. I tried the Breve Latte, almond croissant 🥐, hazelnut cookie, and hazelnut and passion fruit macarons. All perfectly well made. The cashier, Richard, went of his way to give me 5 recommendations to purchase variety of coffees from around Seattle in addition to their in-house options. I'm very thankful and look forward to coming back here.
Sweta Panda
This is my favourite bakery in Seattle! Their almond croissants are definitely out of this world! Almost everything you get here is good.. their macarons, bread, croissants. A must-visit in Seattle!
Aaron Kleyla
This is a great option for a quick breakfast when in the market area. I had an excellent baguette sandwich and coffee. The coffee was good but just ok. The bread was amazingly crisp but with a soft interior. The bread baking aroma is just fantastic. Enjoy your meal at the street counter and do some people watching. You are guaranteed and interesting scene.
Krystal Del Duca
We stopped here after visiting pike place. The bakery is super cozy and everything on display looks delicious. We grabbed macaroons, which were very delicious and sweet, the meringue which was just meh, and a dauphinois. The dauphinois was very surprisingly yummy. A delicate puff pastry with potatoes, cheese and bacon that was perfectly warmed. Once we tasted it, we hopped back in line and grabbed two more to take home. Wish we had grabbed a fresh bread to go as well. The dining was crowded which is to be expected in pike place. The customer service was pleasant. Overall a really great experience and would definitely recommend.
郭芳妘
It tastes absolutely the same as France🤤
And the service is nice as well. …
Ari B
The smell from the open door drew us in, like cartoon characters--amazing fresh pastries! The coffee was decent, too.
Kristi Koester
this place needs three separate five star ratings!
Coffee, smooth, rich, bold!
Lemon macaroons oh my god, perfect blend of tart and sweet. They melt in your mouth!
The bread is amazing!
Sooo good!
Rachel Patterson
I had a really yummy apricot croissant and tea on a busy weekday morning with family. The line was long but moved fast enough. Seating was like playing a game of musical chairs. The baguette I bought to bring home was crisp, fresh and delicious.
Gal N
There is a line to enter the place. Great bakery near pike place market.
Ava Wu
Their macaroons were absolutely delicious. The baguette was an ok baguette. It didn't taste like anything special. On the other hand, the palmier and macaroons were absolutely delectable. They had so many different flavors. I would totally recommend people to go and get their macaroons.
Bella Tsai
I love their desserts 💕 …
Celeste Benson
The bread is so fresh and OMG the marionberry tart was soooo yummy! ! !
Liam Blunt
Has all the best qualities of a bakery. Warm lighting, lots of coffee machine noise, and a robust selection of baked goods like croissants and donuts. The quality of the pasteries is worth the stop but they are a bit expensive.
Ben Dulas
Absolutely delicious! I’ve enjoyed the pastries and other treats from here since I was a kid, and it has never disappointed me. 100% worth a visit.
Danny Roberts
Amazing bakery with fancy french pastries and delicious bread. It's a popular spot at Pike place so there will be a big line and no where to sit, but it moves pretty fast and there's lots of places to take a seat nearby. Head over to Beechers to get some amazing cheese to pair that baguette with!
Amy Howarth
The pastries and macaroons here are fantastic--on par with the quality you find in France and some of the best in Seattle. There's always a line out the door during tourist season, but it's worth the wait, especially if you're visiting Pike Place Market or only in the city for a couple days.
Andrea Taylor
Sooooo good. The most delicious pastries I’ve ever had! Can’t recommend this place enough! Try their Apple croissant. Perfect.
Jeremy Estes
Coffee and latte are average. Location was too small for the crowd. The pastries are the reason to come. They are that great French not too sweet and not too heavy style desert. If it was leaa crowded, and you didn't feel compelled to move away, it would be a nice place to sit and chat.
Gaurav Puri
Been coming here for a decade; the almond croissant and palmier are particularly outstanding. Easily the best French bakery in the Seattle area.
Alaskan Wanderer
Every time I'm in town this place is a must stop. Fantastic pastries and exquisite artisanal coffee fix this establishment classy and delicious. The only downside is that you working out it's quality in popularity makes it a fairly loud and very busy establishment. If you're neurodivergent like myself that I would recommend headphones
Hani
Best pastry and coffee,
Shanna
It was crowded but awesome dessert. I brought a dessert that tasted like Thanksgiving gravy. The price was a bit high since from where I am from, the price was a bit cheaper. They have free newspaper to read and tables to sit. I got a Passion macaroons; it was good and the size was much bigger than what I got when I was in Florida.
Gio Arteaga
Best Macarons and French pastry in Town.
Christopher Walker
Crusty, airy baguettes; flaky, buttery croissants; colorful tartes faux fruits; a vast assortment of other pastries, coupled with a friendly and knowledgeable staff that somehow manages to keep the line moving without making you feel rushed all make this place a fun and delicious stop just across from Pike Place. The coffee options are delicious, too, and beat the long wait for the Starbucks just down the street.
Zuleirys Santana Rodriguez
I got merengues and macarons to take back home with me and they were amazing!!! Really nice place, adorable looking, good pastries and bread selection and it seems like their coffee was amazing (I don’t drink coffee but the smell was really good). I will surely visit on my next trip to Seattle.
Barbara 1
Really good breads and cakes.
Filled baguettes a must for lunch. Very tasty and fresh. Not very expensive compared to a lot of places in Seattle.
Tea and coffee excellent.
Seating limited but seams to turn over fairly quickly.
Susan Gallotte
This is our favorite place to eat at Pike Place Market. I don't know what magic they put in their baguettes but there is nothing else like them. Their pastries are incredible. Our favorites are the Joan of Arc and the D'Orsay, both chocolate, of course! We ordered FEUILLETÉS, puff pastry tarts with savory fillings, and scrumptious macarons for our daughter and son-in-law's wedding reception and all were delicious. It's usually crowded but well worth the wait.
Trinity Quirk
The bags describe this place as a "very French bakery", and that is 100% true. Croissants, pain au chocolat, palmiers, Napoleons, macarons, even baguettes and some other types of loaves. They have got the goods. There has been a line out the door every time I've been, but it moves quickly. The staff has always been very pleasant. They will also make the usual assortment of coffees, and I'm told they do a fine job of those as well (not a coffee person myself).
Marco Moreira
Great service, coffee and pastries!
Aaron Robles
The smells that come out of here are divine. Some of the best baked goods you can get your hands on within Seattle proper.
Good coffee, friendly service, a nice atmosphere to top them all off.
The drawbacks here are that they get absolutely packed with people on weekends, especially during tourist season. Making matters worse there's very limited seating that's kind of awkwardly arranged.
This is something that ails a lot of Pike Market establishments though, and isn't really something that they've done wrong, just par for the course with the area.
George Zhang
Great pastries. Crossaints were delicious. Sandwiches were nothing out of the ordinary. Gets really crowded in the morning as it is a huge tourist spot. Line can take a while because you don't really know in advance what you're getting unless you've been here before. There are a lot of choices and only two or there people helping you get the pastries. Still worth it
Daunte fleek-dixson
Lemon tart and macaroons are absolutely amazing!
A F (Pochemu2)
A french inspired bakery that attracts a line in the Pike Place market resulting in long wait times. Grumpy visitors, crumb covered tables, and a constant noise. Normally, I avoid such crowded food places, but for this bakery's bread, I make an exception. I just usually grab my order to go and go find a more relaxing spot to enjoy my sandwich.
Zachary Wheeler
I can't say enough about this place! Walking into Le Panier on a brisk Seattle morning, you are so enveloped in warmth and delicious aromas that it is like climbing into a sleeping bag sized croissant!
Reasonable prices, incredible baked goods, and fantastic experience are all reasons you should stop by La Panier any time you are in Seattle. I know that any time I am in the vicinity, I will be making a point of stopping by and picking up a croissant, chocolatine, or baguette and enjoy an early morning view of the bay.
Greg Humphrey
Here is about the best French bakery in the Seattle area. A little hard to get to sometimes, though worth it. Great chocolate filled croissants and Palmieres and pretty good baggetts.
Alyssa G
Best bakery at Pike place market. The wait is SO worth it! I had to go back a few more times before we left Seattle and even took coffee home!
Joshua Bunter
Great bakery, really enjoyed the selection of savoury and sweet goods. Recommended!
Merilee Nixon
I was in Seattle for five days, and made it a goal to never go to the same place twice, as I wanted to try out lots of different foods. I ended up coming here THREE TIMES because everything I ate was just so delicious! I also came at different times each day, and never had to wait more than a couple minutes. I highly recommend the chouqettes.
Hannah Golden
This place is incredible!!! We tried the chocolate croissant, amandine, ham and cheese croissant, cinnamon swirl and bacon and potato soufflé (all for $20). They were each so good but our faves were the amandine (AMAZING) and the ham and cheese croissant. Long lines but great service and it moves quickly. Go here- my favorite breakfast during our Seattle trip!
Rajiv Bharadwaja
Loved the coffee and pastries (friands, macaroons, etc.).
Their black coffee is perfectly brewed and very well balanced. I had my very first cup of black coffee here (was more of a latte/cappuccino drinker until then), and loved it!
Their espresso coffee drinks are great too.
Alex Garcini
Top notch macarons, maybe better than France! Seriously, so amazing. Staff were very friendly 😁 …
Natasha S
Food was fresh and they stock a large variety of pastries. There's something for everyone!
Jaime B
Great experience, the people are very nice and the food is great. Love the sandwich choice especially the brie sandwich. Had the raspberry and apricot croissants, and first time having a macaroon. All of it was amazing.
Isaac Herskovitz
The croissants are to die for. The Madeline’s are also great. The service here was incredible, the woman who took my order was very kind and cheery. Will come back next time I’m in town, no doubt!
Jeff Baldwin
Amazing and authentic French bakery. Their pastries and macaroons are as good as those I’ve had in Paris. There is usually a line to get in, but don’t let that discourage you.
Alana DelVecchio
If you're looking for well made French pastries in Seattle this is the place to go--shared a pain au chocolat and an almond croissant. Both were flaky, buttery and had the right amount of sweetness--definitely a win! I've also had their breads in the past and they are equally amazing!
Mark Dowlatkhah
It wqs good but way way over priced. I guess pay for the location and the tourisim.
JR Castaneda
Best croissants in hundreds of miles. Specially the almond one, outstanding. Excellent bakery. Worth a detour. And u can have lunch too. Best food stop in Pike.
Uday Nath
Some of the best regular and almond croissants I’ve ever had.
And their macrons are other worldly good - especially wild strawberry, and caramel
Teri Yeh
Early morning no crowd or line. This place smells heavenly, and the best baguettes I've had in a long long time. The crust is only slightly crunchy but the inside soft and chewy, even when cold.
Adwinnie Bernacchi
The best bakery! Food is SO delicious! Everything I tried there is good and I tried almost everything. The down point is getting a table there. The place is always busy. But still get five stars because they're too good! The service is great, very friendly people, the ambience is positive and it's located in a very touristic area.
Ellayna Dallolio
Love this place! Delicious, would recommend, perfect spot for someone that is visiting Seattle for the first time! Worth the wait!
Jamie Simcoe
Being a Pastry Chef I tend to be very picky about sweets and the places I like. The croissants are absolutely to die for! They are the BEST I have ever had, especially the almond and the raspberry croissants. Their Brioche is fluffy and has a rich Yolk and butter flavor. The macarons are always balanced in flavor. This is my favorite bakery of all time!
Michael Ambrose
Croissants so good you think you are in Paris!!! Amazing pastries and bread... Absolutely delicious... The quality and consistency of the pastries are remarkable.
Marine Tarakhchyan
Love love love this bakery! Lines may get long depending on the time you get there, but well worth the wait...fresh baguette sandwiches for breakfast/lunch! I love their lattes and chocolate almond croissant!
Grace A
Really good pastries. I went on a Monday and it wasn't busy and no line.
Ashley Olsen
Every time I come to Seattle, I always come here. The place is usually busy, but I LOVE their macaroons! Best ever! I wish they shipped.
Ronen N
Amazing pastries, nice coffee
I C
Buttery Croissants! Smooth cappuccino. Other than longish wait, love their pastries.
Kim Ray

As you walk the cobble stone streets of pike place you'll notice a quaint French bakery in the distance ............as heavenly scents waft in every direction you find yourself drawn to it like a moth to Flame and there goes my carbs for the day haha. No matter what your fancy is they have a wonderful array of French sweets, breads, and delicious espresso. I make sure to bring homemade bread everytime I visit

Coffee and pastries are good but service is way too slow.

I went there yesterday with my boyfriend to buy macarons and a cup of tea and I was surprised to find the friendliest staff, Maddie, at the most touristy place, Pike Place, in Seattle. Businesses in places like this sometimes don’t have good customer service because most people won’t come back anyway, but Maddie was extremely friendly in serving us, which was definitely going an extra mile. Thanks again Maddie!

Best pastries I have found in Seattle so far. Always try to grab some from here when I can.
