Reviews of Freya Bakery & Cafe

Awesome little coffee shop with delicious treats and an assortment of breakfast dishes. We had the quiche and the turkey bacon sandwich. Both dishes were hot and the sandwich has lots of turkey and bacon!! Highly recommend both dishes! And the lattes were so smooth and flavourful

After walking by numerous times after they closed I was able to visit them! There certainly is no shortage of bakeries in Seattle.
Loved this place! I hadn't had macadamia milk yet so I ordered it with a latte and it was delicious. Smooth and frothy with a mildly nutty flavor.
I couldn't pass up the Raspberry slice and the cruffin either. Very satisfied.

Cozy and warm service. Although is a small shop they have coded restrooms, a comfy couch cushioned bench and several bar chairs. They made everything there and roast their own beans.

My husband and I found this place hidden on Western Ave, Pike Place Market. They had a good selection of pastries, we ordered Scandinavian chocolate croissant and plain croissant. They were super fresh, crisp and very flavorful! We also ordered cappuccino and small latte, perfect combination to start your day

You have to try the Churro Cruffin!! It’s flaky and light but has a sweet churro taste. It’s like Disneyland meets Seattle in a muffin! We stumbled upon this hidden gem and boy was that a great decision. While your having coffee and your cruffin you can sit at the bar and watch the bakers. It’s really cool to see the pastries being made along with being able to see all the talented staff working away. We got here and 5 minutes later the line was out the door. Definitely make a stop here even if it is to go.

We visited prior to heading to the nearby aquarium.
The cardamom knot was addictive.
My kids had hot chocolate and said they were the best they'd had in Seattle.
The Latte was also very good.
Being able to watch the working bakery through the viewing window was a nice touch.
There is limited seating (about 14 people at a guess) but definitely worth a stop.
We also tried the Croissant, the Cookie & the Chocolate swirl and all pastries were top quality

Stopped in while visiting Seattle from the East Coast. Freya is a delicious little bakery downtown. I had a BLT breakfast sandwich with delicious local pickled peppers. The other people in my party had croissants which they loved. Definetly a worthwhile stop!

Went in with my girlfriend for food and coffee, the coffee is reasonably priced and delicious! We got a Kobenhavn latte and a Chai tea latte and they were both fantastic. The Kobenhavn had a subtle cardamom flavor and the Chai was impressively spicy, if you're into that, both drinks were better than average. Their food was also delicious, I ordered a turkey bacon sandwich on foccacia and the bread was obviously made fresh in thier bakery. Their quiche was simple but well done and satisfying; I appreciated how large the slices were for only $7. Overall would definitely recommend if you are looking for quality baked goods and coffee at a reasonable price.

Fantastic pastries and coffee drinks. A little hygge in Pike Place that is definitely worth a visit! Wish we were staying in a house to take advantage of the amazing looking breads.
Will try to get back tomorrow for some sandwiches!

Cozy cafe with well made espresso drinks and absolutely delicious baked goods. Staff is friendly and the cafe was clean and well designed for it's size. I loved that you could watch the bakers working while you sat there. I'd gladly go back here so I can try a few more pastries and I'd highly recommend it if you need a quick pick me up.

My Danish and lavender latte were both awesome. The bun sandwich was just okay arugula overpowered everything else. Would definitely come back for Danish though!!!!

Delicious drinks and pastry. VERY friendly and helpful staff. Cozy and warm inside!

Stopped by in the morning for some pastry, bakery, and espresso. Super clean, friendly staff, but average food and drink. Espresso comes from a machine that’s more tuned for speed and less for great taste. While they have a very clean open kitchen in back, the baked items and pastries lacked flavor and texture. Tasted over baked and less fresh. With so many choices 1-2 blocks away, felt disappointed we didn’t go somewhere else.

That churro muffin is to die for. So are the almond tea cakes. Their lattes are amazing as well and everything is priced reasonably. It's small but aesthetically pleasing and light. I love it there....

Good food and super kind staff. Pretty small space to sit but it’s well decorated with a good fresh cozy vibe.

Churro Cruffin is the best. Tried lavender latte and it was refreshing and smooth and creamy. Just perfect. Chai was a bit strong and spicy if you are more of a mild-chai type of person

Itty bitty little shop near pike place market. I stopped here after walking past and seeing the selection of pastries. They have a lot to choose from and have coffee as well. I got the pear brûlée tart but was disappointed that the pears were not fresh, but tinned. I probably won’t go back again, especially with all the other bakery options so close by.

Excellent coffee and pastries. Would return if I am back in Seattle. My only regret was that they opened so late (8am).

We discovered this hidden gem at Pike Place Market while exploring the waterfront. Our family group had some raspberry pastries and pesto sandwiches which were delicious. The coffee we tried from Ethiopia was amazing and the barista was quite knowledgeable and told us they roast their own coffee beans

Picked up a dozen pastries and bag of apricot jam butter cookies to soften the blow of some bad news at work, and it honestly saved the day. Everything was beautiful, delicious, and people raves about the cool flavors. The person working there chose the perfect assortment and was super lovely to chat to at 8AM. 10/10 will be my new bakery spot.

The Pear Crème Brûlée was to die for ! We also got a seasonal latte and a breakfast pastry which were all well made. Need to go back so I can try more 😋 …
Matt
Very good baked goods, and the chai is unique and well-spiced.

Wow! The pastries here are so good and original. The coffees etc are also delicious and the service is great. Highly recommended if looking for a tasty bite or quality coffee!

Absolutely delicious breakfast sandwich! The ice lattes with oak milk are the best I've ever had. Highly recommend stopping in!

Great coffee. Blueberry danish and rhubarb vanilla pastry are a must try.
Good place for quick breakfast or lunch as well, they serve warm sandwiches and toasts.
Spencer Erickson
They have window that looks into the kitchen. Really cool to watch them make the pastries will you eat.
Cruffin = amazing
cardamom = pretty good
Adam Swaller
Amazing place with an exceptional staff. Food is delightful and the espresso is the best I've had in Seattle.
Nathan Karras
Good. Pastries well priced for the quality. Coffee quite expensive. Small, but comfortable atmosphere.

Today I tried the cardamom knot and the Copenhagen latte. The pastries were as good as my last visit to Copenhagen, super yummy. Will come back for sure!

Perfect Vanille Lattes and loved their croissants. A complete 5 star experience.

Their almond croissants and pear creme brulee danishes are to die for !!

Lovely sandwich! Nice location near the Pike Place Market, but reachable on foot for those working outside of the downtown core
Great service, too!
María Fernanda Gutiérrez Tolentino
Coffee and pastries are good, but the service is very rude. They need to improve the attention to the client.
Kathy K.
Amazing find, away from the busy marketplace. Coffee and pastries are perfectly done. Great customer service. Loved it.
Joe Knight
Best coffee in the city, and the pastries are life changing!

Great bread.....
Gurupad S. Hegde
It is one of the hidden coffee spots near a crowded Pike Place market. There is no vegan option unfortunately. But, the lavender coffee was amazing. And I had to stick to toasted bread jam 🥲 …
Ben Weiner
Freshly ground cardamom, need I say any more? A welcoming, homey place for pastry and coffee. So glad I wandered in
Mandy Gillis
Delicious pastries that weren't overly sweet. Loved the food and atmosphere!
