I LOVE THIS PLACE!! A for sure hidden gem. I am not sure why more ppl don’t stop here ? Atkins perhaps ? Lol no offense. I just love bread and the prices can’t be beaten. You can also buy Cyrus o Leary pies here. Amazing !

I've seen the Sodo Franz Outlet Store for years and had not visited until recently. I had not been to any of their outlet stores, so I was surprised at the selection and the prices. The store has bread on the fresher side as well as bread that is closer to expiration. They have a lot of different breads, rolls, cookies, and chips. When I visited they even had some special edition breads: peach cobbler and lemon crème - I didn't have the peach cobbler but the lemon crème bread surprisingly tasted really good. The bread was yellow like a pound cake and was slightly sweet and tart. Because it is an outlet store, the prices are low and I was able to get 5 loaves of bread for less than $10. The employees overall were friendly. One employee asked if it was my first time visiting and since it was she was kind enough to give me a rundown of how the store was set up. The cashier was also friendly and had a good sense of humor which I appreciated. I'm really glad I visited and will return soon.

Great deals on loaves of bread and buns, especially on the clearance racks. Donuts and pastries can be cheap as well, but taste is usually lacking.

Key: My go-to store for bread and bakery items since their prices and selection are the most attractive things about this outlet store. Experience: I've gotten two bags of sliced bread and a jar of strawberry jam for under $5. Normally when you get these 3 items in a grocery store, it will cost you about $10. Parking: Free parking on-site and large parking lot just beside the store. It's very convenient to find and drive to in the sodo area. Hours: Note their change in store hours during COVID before you go , see attached photo for updated times (rightmost paper in the photo). Overall: I often stop by this store on my way to Costco when heading South since it's on the way. Highly recommended, you can thank me later :)

Well-stocked with delightful baked goods. This is an outlet for a large-scale bakery. You get quality goods, but it is certainly not a gourmet bakery. For those not from the Northwest, they are on par with Sarah Lee, Hostess, bakeries similar to those. A regional giant. The folks working here always have a pleasant and friendly demeanor. Pictured is $10 worth.

Awesome deals. Way cheaper to go to the source. If you shop for more than three people 100% go here. They also have keto bread cheaper than i've seen elsewhere. They don't have cloud bread yet (and i dont know if they intend to stock/make it)

Keeping the tradition of a mainstay of my childhood, Franz Outlet offers a marketplace for bargain bread and other products to the public. When their parent company absorbed the former bakery giant of the northwest, Gai's Bakery, Franz was made the heir apparent and was quickly adopted by the community. It's a place I often visit this bakery (or the main bakery location on Weller St) with family members in mind, as I always end up with more product than my household can consume. Thank you for the great deals and the very friendly service.

Wide variety of fresh and day-old Franz products at discount prices. Very friendly personnel. Sweet Dark bread is my favorite and I can usually find it there. I also get their Extra Crispy and Raisin Cinnamon English muffins. It is still the best place to get good prices on high-quality Franz bakery goods

Fantastic place. Good people, good good, nice feel. It's a small store where you can get good stuff for cheap. They have cool special deals too. The food is easy to get to and checkout is usually pretty quick. I would highly recommend this establishment. :)

They unloaded us pretty fast and wasn’t to much of a hassle. If your delivering the check in is on the south side of the building where all the semis are and a covered drive. Park there and go between the 2 docks and up the small ladder and talk to someone there.

Heard the bad news today that they are not making Cracked Wheat Bread anymore! According to the staff it was discontinued last Thursday. This was the best bread ever. My entire family loves it and we've been eating it for the last 20 years. The baker said they were only making 1,000 loaves a week and by their numbers that's not very high. I'm sure if they promoted this bread they could get their numbers up! What is the sense of having a marketing department if they can't promote their own brands? Been coming here for years I love this place it's not like it used to be staff wise the friendliest member is a Samoan gal she's the sweetest I really love her and so do my kids love driving by in my way to work early every morning and I get to smell the yummy treats and breads they bake in side also the area is very bad anymore not a very sade place

1st, the smell of fresh baked bread brought me right in off the highway. I couldn't help but notice the great prices on bread bread products. The staff was very helpful. Wound up buying 3 loads of bread for not much dough. I love this place.

I'm always happy to find good deals on food, this outlet has lots and lots of breads, it's a bit lite on the pastries and donuts, but still has a respectable amount. It also has an assortment of cookies and other odds and ends, it's well worth a visit if you're in to bargains!!!

I love the prices here. You can save a lot on fresh bread or even more on day old bread. They have alot of other things too. If spend over $10 you will a free item.

Franz bakery is amazing. Family owned, bakery outlets, mostly amazing employees. I save more than half of what I would regularly spend at a grocery store for the same bread/rolls. Plus they give you free stuff if you spend 10/15/20 dollars

Everything is always FRESH, TASTY, AND 80% CHEAPER THAN SAFEWAY and every other grocery chain out there. I always paid between $3.49 to $4.50 for one bag of Franz mini bagels and since coming to Franz's Outlet Store in SODO & the Outlet Store on S Jackson St & 20th Ave S, I would get 3 times as much for an even $5.00! 3 bags of mini bagels, regular sized bagels or sliced bread or even one of each for $5.00! And it's softer and more fresh AND lasts longer at home!

It's probably the biggest bakery outlet store I have ever experienced. Give-away prices and lots of specialty items like Red Mill breakfast cereals. My work is nearby and some of my coworkers go "make a raid" returning with doughnuts, cookies and treats for us in large quantities at give away prices. Plenty of parking and friendly staff!

Always a great place for bread. Just a reminder if you get anything from the discount rack, put it in the fridge. Since there are little to no preservatives the bread will mold as it is close to its expiration.

Gluten free bread, hamburger and hotdog buns are the best and why I'm gaining so much weight. The new gf blueberry loaf is delicious and it taste great with salmon spread or as fried egg and bacon breakfast sandwich. The ladies that work for Franz on Jackson and on 6th Ave are all wonderful.
