Granite Bakery was very helpful in choosing our cake design. They let us taste and gave us some great ideas. The almond poppy seed with raspberry filling was amazing! They were so friendly to us and the owner even came in to help us! He showed us a cake similar to the one we wanted (they had one there waiting to be delivered that day) which helped us to know that this was the one! We truly appreciate that you were so nice and helpful to us. We definitely recommend Granite Bakery and will be buying cakes and treats here more often!!

The perfect cake! I was going to buy a grocery store cake because it's cheaper and I originally thought "how much better could a cake be?" But I saw the great reviews and it's a family business so I decided I'd rather my money go there than a big company and let me tell ya it was the right choice! They were so friendly taking my order and making sure they had the order correct. It is exactly what I asked for and the taste was amazing!

As a wedding photographer, I have shot hundreds of weddings. I’ve seen some terrible cakes and some wonderful ones. Horror story after horror story. There are a lot of beautiful cakes in the world, but not every cake is edible lol. Granite bakery is the only company I recommend to my brides. Their cakes are gorgeous and delicious. Granite bakery went above and beyond for us and our wedding. We came into our planning meeting with a cake design we thought we wanted, but after talking with us, she had a much better design in mind. It was completely tailored to us. Not only was it a work of art, it was as delicious as well. They were also prompt and got it on time to our wedding venue. I cannot express how much we loved everything about them. We were referred here and have referred everyone we know to get a cake from them.

We love this bakery so much! We go there for their amazing, fresh orange rolls, fantastic cookies, but they shine with their cakes! We have gotten two birthday cakes from Granite and they were both PERFECT! The last one was a Pinterest picture I gave them and it was even better than the original picture! ❤️ The cake is moist and the buttercream is divine!

Cute little bakery that makes some incredible eats right down the street from where I live. You can custom order cakes for any occasion. They sell pastries or all types to satisfy your sweet tooth. The shop is clean and well organized. The workers are professional providing quick and appropriate customer service. I will be back for sure highly recommend.

Placed an order for a 300 Cookie order for an anatomically shaped heart and not only were they able to 3-D Print us a cookie cutter, but they made sure they were positioned correctly (I know it silly, but I work in cardiology and these people are like hawks for that sort of thing.) If you want a good pastry but don't want to pay the high prices I highly recommend grant bakery. If you like apple fritters then you will definitely like them at Granite Bakery and there famous Carmel cinnamon knots! Unfortunately it is hard to walk out with a large bag of treats. Seriously what is unfortunate is their customer service. Not all are the nicest and they want to throw everything in a bag. With guidance you can have pastries of delightful goodness.

Love this place! Amazing customer services! We went here for a wedding cake we walked in they had us look over a sheet of paper with different cake flavors & and different fillings and icing, they had us pick out whatever combination we wanted and they went and made us these cute little cakes to taste the combinations we picked. The cakes were delicious we ended up ordering the wedding cake and so excited. The cost was comparable to other places. We enjoyed the taste testing and people who helped us were great!

We got 70 cupcakes and a small 6inch cake for our wedding. It all came out beautiful, cake looked like an aspen tree with our initials M + R in a heart. Cupcakes were colorful buttercream with the frosting resembling flowers! So pretty. My one and only complaint is that we had chosen red velvet, cheesecake, and vanilla cupcake flavors and the cheesecake and vanilla both tasted exactly the same. They both tasted like vanilla, and the cheesecake had actually been my favorite at the tasting so slightly disappointed! But that being said, our guests raved about them and they were still delicious. And they let us borrow a cake stand for free! Overall, highly recommend.

Their cake was amazing, and everyone complimented it. We chose the cheesecake for our wedding. I would give them 5 stars if it was based on the quality of the cake alone. They also let us use their cake display which was absolutely beautiful and elegant. I would recommend them for their cakes any day. However, I would also recommend to consistently keep on top of things with them and stay in contact frequently to make sure they are tracking everything correctly. I called them before the wedding to make sure they were tracking a stand for the cake topper that we had discussed doing a month prior (since their cheesecake is softer than their other cakes) and they responded that because it was a "last minute request" (as though it was our fault) they couldn't support it and didn't recommend we use our cake topper. They forgot that we had arranged with them for a cake topper a month prior through both me and on a different day my mother made the same request on a second occasion. We were a bit taken aback by the accusation that it was our fault. It ended up being firm enough that our cake topper worked out after all, but buyers be cautioned to stay in constant contact to make sure/double (triple) check that your requests are fully understood ahead of time and throughout the process.

We all know that we go back when we have 1) great customer service 2) food is delicious 3) price is right. Well at least those are the driving factors for me - notice customer service is first. I’ve been in the hospitality field for over 20 years & know when I experience a great one! Granite Bakery - the staff are friendly and offer suggestions and complete professionals. I ordered a cake recently as I have in the past, their cakes are always delicious and will go out of my way to buy even sugar cookies from here. If you’re looking for delicious treats then by all means, make your way to Granite Bakery!

Great service, beautiful cakes, delicious cakes. Giving 4 stars because for the price everything should be 100% accurate. They got 2 of our cake flavors wrong, the Topsy turvey style was not executed very well, our cake base was the wrong color. On a side note, if they refer Angela's catering for food... skip on that. We were a bit disappointed. But at least our cake was beautiful and delicious!!!

People ask me every single time where I bought the cake! There was a mistake with the frosting when I picked up a cake last week, but they fixed it quickly and politely. We picked up some amazing smelling cinnamon knots for a customer visit. The entire place smelled amazing along with attentive staff. They have a display case of donuts and pastries along with prepackaged goods for larger quantities. We took two bags of knots and a bag of lemon rolls which looked amazing. Our customer was very appreciative. I was able to enjoy a glazed donut and my goodness it was delicious!

This place is AMAZING! We had difficulty landing on a cake design we both liked, but the folks at Granite Bakery were helpful and flexible with our requests at every turn. When we finally nailed down our final design, they executed it perfectly, and the look and flavor of our Scott Pilgrim and Ramona Flowers themed wedding cake totally exceeded our expectations. I'd definitely recommend them for your event.

We ordered a two tier semi-nude carrot cake from Granite Bakery along with almond poppy and chocolate raspberry cupcakes for our wedding in August 2016. The dessert was phenomenal! We received many compliments on the quality and presentation of the cake and cupcakes. Janna at Granite Bakery was extremely helpful in helping us determine the right amount of dessert for our guests and we ended up with hardly any leftovers. It was fantastic. The employees don't wear masks. The pastries are delicious, but expensive, as in a dollar for a cookie. Instead of boxing the four sweet rolls I purchased and two cookies, she stacked them in a small sack so they could smash one another.

I felt like I was at Cake Boss in New Jersey where they make all like of crazy cakes exactly the way you want them designed for your special occassion.

I ordered a birthday cake for my husband and when I went to pick the cake up I was amazed and very excited because the cake turned out perfect! It tasted great! Great quality and would highly recommend, we had a party of about 12 people and the cake was the size for 25 people so more than enough, and reasonable pricing for the custom art.

We used Granite Bakery to cater my daughter's wedding in June 2015. They were amazing! From the taste testing and ordering, to the actual event. Not only was the food wonderful, fresh and beautiful, but we also used their catering services as they sent 3 servers. They arrived early, were very professional in their manner and dress. They managed the entire buffet as if there were 10 servers! They did not leave until they had cleaned the area and boxed the left overs. I would HIGHLY recommend Granite Bakery and will use them again.

I mistakenly visited Granite when I had made an appointment at another bakery (not a long story, I was just confused), and even though I wasn't someone they were expecting, the staff dropped what they were doing to accommodate me and my party. It was only halfway through the appointment when I received a text from the original bakery that I realized my mistake. Granite was ready to go with a cake tasting and presentation, and because of their stellar service (especially without notice!) we will be using them for our upcoming wedding. Also, their cakes are divine! Try the pear!!

Granite bakery did such an amazing job on our wedding cake. It was so delicious and everyone loved it. My only minor complaint would be that it was about 45 mins late being delivered, and the cake cutter arrived almost 2 hours early to cut the cake so I felt awful making her wait around for that long. In the grand scheme of things it really wasn't a big deal, everything turned out amazing and this detail made out day absolutely perfect.

Got my 3-tier wedding cake from Granite Bakery, and it tasted delicious! We chose the cheesecake cake with raspberry filling, and the chocolate raspberry cake with raspberry filling: delish! They even let us rent a cake stand. I’m only giving four stars because the cake was not decorated exactly how we had asked. It was missing a few details I asked for, and our textured middle layer was not very textured. So that was a let down... but at least the sugar flowers were painted beautifully. Overall, not a bad place to get a wedding cake.

Excellent cales and customer service is second to none. We brought a cake that was made for a special occasion by a competitor that looked like a child baked it. Granite bakery naked us a new cake for the occasion in about 45 minutes and saved the day. Can't say enough about how good this bakery is................and the cake was delicious!!

I was married last month and worked with Granite Bridal on my cake, as well as one for my parents' fiftieth wedding anniversary on the same date. Out of all of my wedding vendors, (and the good ones were both numerous and excellent) none stood out so much as Granite. The owner is truly present and personable. The cakes were delivered in perfect shape, on time and even more beautiful than I had hoped. Our chocolate with raspberry filling one had an entire surface of buttercream roses in frosting and the flavor of it was incredible. Not only am I a lifelong fan of Granite Bridal, but my husband, who barely paid attention to planning and vendors reminded me of how wonderful they were and that we had planned to write a review.

Their cheese danishes are the best of any bakery - super fantastic. I love that they don't skimp on the cheese filling like most bakeries and have made the same consistent product for years. The pastry itself isn't overly dry like most danishes. Their cakes are great too - very moist and always well decorated. This is my favorite bakery in town.

I wanted a very simple but delicious cake for my wedding and went with Granite based on recommendations from friends. I actually ended up ordering not a wedding cake, but just a simply frosted (better background for greenery) round white cake with raspberry filling. My only regret is that I didn't get to eat more of it! Not only was it beautiful and exactly what I ordered, but I (not a cake person) think it was the most delicious cake I've ever eaten. Granite Bakery Wedding Planners are wonderful. We called and set a time to meet with their staff. Sampled whatever kind of cake we wanted. Our daughter wanted something simple with sunflowers. We had the cake on a cut aspen stand on top of a whiskey barrel. It was perfect! The cake was delicious.

I called the bakery in some desperation today because I found out the party I was supposed to supply a birthday cake for was today, instead of next Friday. Imagine my relief when Jana cheerfully informed me that they could indeed put my specialty request- marzipan and two different flavors together in time. She was wonderfully accommodating and didn't act at all like this was a ridiculously last-minute request. The cakes were delicious, of course, and absolutely beautiful. Having bought cakes from other "high-end" bakeries before, I was stunned to pay about a third of what these cakes would have cost anywhere else. I'm so happy and appreciative of Jana's wonderful service- and with the low cost and gorgeous confections, this is more than a 5 star-review.

We were hoping to order our wedding cake here but weren't able to! After speaking with the staff on the phone twice, driving to Salt Lake, testing cakes, and deciding on exactly what we wanted we were told that they wouldn't be able to create a cake for us because they are too busy the week of our wedding. We really wish they would have asked when we would be needing the cake before we had gone through all this effort. The cakes were amazing and the staff was kind but it was very frustrating and could have easily been avoided if we had any clue that timing was going to be an issue for them.

I recently decided to order a custom cake for my wife for her birthday, and after calling several bakeries I was ready to give up. I had about 3 days to get it ready, and every bakery in SLC I called said that they were 2-3 weeks out, and the cost was around $100 or more. When I called Granite Bakery on 900e, the lady on the phone was very helpful and nice, and was able to get it done in just two days! I emailed her a picture of my dog, and what I wanted the cake to kind of look like. When I arrived to pick it up, it was just as expected, and it was only $40!. Wonderful service, great tasting cake, and my wife loved it. Thank you Granite Bakery.

I recommend their cinnamon knots! My second favorite thing is their trifles. They have several flavors. The trifles are in plastic containers and don't look that special, but they are tasty! They also make pastries, donuts, cookies, loaf cakes, rolls birthday cakes, and more. The place is def worth a visit if you're in the neighborhood.

Saw that these guys have some mixed reviews, and I had to go in and see for myself. Went in for a wedding cake tasting, and the owner helped me. Very nice older gentleman who has cake-making down to a science! The cakes were perfect- very moist and delicious! From what I can tell, they do beautiful work.

There is a reason Granite Bakery has been around for Generations, because they are the best. Word of warning though. If you want the freshest of baked delicacies then you had better get there early because they sell out quick!

My fiance and I went to Granite Bakery for a wedding cake consultation. The cake samples were delicious, but the service was the worst I had ever seen at this bakery. When we asked the wedding cake consultant questions about decorating and pricing, she just handed us photos of cakes without offering any suggestions to achieve the style we want for our cake. When we asked her about gluten-free cakes, she was extremely rude to us and said she didn't know anything about them. She did not even offer to let us speak with the head baker about our dietary needs. We asked another wedding cake consultant about gluten-free cakes and she was also very rude when she told us that Granite Bakery does not offer gluten-free wedding cakes. Having done business with Granite Bakery before this incident, I expected a much higher level of professionalism and courtesy from this company. I will no longer do business with them.

Always a favorite. We always have to buy their sticky buns, mint oreos, and chocolate dipped macaroons every time we go there, among many other treats. Their cakes are sooo good too! I've been going there since my friends and I discovered it in high school. Yum!!

We used Granite Bakery for my daughter's wedding cake. We paid to have it delivered and we also rented a gold knife set for the night. They delivered the cake on time but failed to bring the knife set. We spent the next 30 minutes trying to reach them and finally found a silver set to borrow from a friend. When I returned the gold cake base, I let them know that the knife set did not come. Their response was that it was sent to another address. No apology for the inconvience they caused as my daughter's reception was about to start. They did refund me the money but I guess they think that weddings happen everyday and it's no big deal if they don't follow through. An apology would have gone a long way to make me feel like they even cared. The least they could have done is offer us a free brownie on the way out. Classic, American, family owned bakery that makes the pastries my grandma used to serve. Its the only place to get raisin filled cookies like ZCMI used to make. They also have excellent mini eclairs for a great price. At holiday times they always have extra tables filled with holiday specialties. The only drawback is they don't have any real place to sit and eat their yummy cookies, donuts, muffins, rolls and pastries.
