We have been driving by this French bakery for a while and finally got the chance to try them out. Now, the food was delicious and all their pastries looked delicous. We had a super nice lady helping us out but I think that she was new because she kept placing hot items directly in front our baby and we had to keep moving them so she wouldn't get hurt. Again, she was great just might have been to busy or having an off day. THEIR QUICHES were to die for! Highly recommend you try them. We also picked up a mango raspberries tart and one chocolate dessert. We will come back again and see how our experience with staff is.

Met up with some friends here on their recommendation of a central bakery that’d have something we all could agree to enjoy. Selection: 4 large display cases, cakes, pastries, tarts, cookies, breads… Eyes: appealing and beautiful options. Mind: what’s the best option for the price, and will I want to return? Mouth: this is delicious, however not taste exactly how my eyes and mind put it together… especially when my wallet got involved. Bottom line, my opinion. Not a destination bakery, but if I’m in the neighborhood and have time to kill- this is a great stop to satisfy bakery cravings.

Seriously good bakery! This place has a huge variety of baked goods, deli type items, and cafe drinks. I’ve tried their chai and a few of their pastries. The chai was tasty and all the pastries have been excellent. I don’t think you can go wrong with anything they offer. The staff have been really nice, the restaurant is spotless, and the prices are reasonable. I saw this place driving by in the evening, and it looked like such a beacon of light and perfection among the scumminess that is most of state street.

My daughter said this was the best (Kraft) Macaroni and cheese ever. Of course there are actual French foods here that are delicious as well. Quiche Lorraine and French Toast for breakfast. I will be back soon for the Hot Chocolate again and it’s July. Promptly seated and served.

Very good place for takeaway, or dine in if you want to brave the crowds. Especially busy at breakfast. The baked goods are wonderful. The foccacia topped with cheese reminds me so much of the square cut takeaway pizza in every major Italian Piazza I almost looked around for the duomo. Its a true european bakery so if you want the full selection get there early in the day.

Great selection of French and other creative pastries. The croissants all look great. I’ve tried to tiramisu and the pain ah chocolat. So delicious and nice. The customer service really floored me though. I went early and the woman behind the counter was so friendly and inviting. I would come back weekly simply for that. Add good food and it’s a done deal! Go!

Delicious pastries and awesome service. I was very happy to know that there is this cafe close to home where we could get anything we love eating at Gourmandise downtown. When we first discovered it, we notice a very close resemblance from setup and the dish and pastries they served and later discovered that this is a spinoff of the one downtown. In fact, we love eating here better than the one downtown. First it is very close to home and second, parking is never an issue. In terms of food, everything is similar meaning both are equally delicious and very appetizing. I think prices are pretty similar and most of all, crews are very nice. The place is well maintained and like I said, they have ample parking. And by the way, they have some special dish items that are not in their menu but can be ordered if requested 🙂

Coming here you can't help but feel your eyes light up. As you see the display of all the pastries and cakes they have to offer there is no way you can choose just 1 thing! I have come in a few times to pick up birthday cakes and some fruit tarts. They are very patient and helpful while you decide and so far I have had no disappointments! They have a range of goodies to choose from and in many different portions. My 3 year old chose a passion fruit cake for her birthday and it was a favorite for the children and adults.

We go the chicken panini the bread was toasted and soft bread. I have invisalign so I really appreciate the softness. It was very yummy. The deserts were beyond what I expected! The pumpkin cheese cake was mmmm mmm good. Definitely recommend and am going to tell every one I know. Thank you :)

We've gotten the most amazing pastries from here and went to get breakfast. The food is AMAZING. And the employees are all so nice and helpful! Some of the best food I've had in a while.

Amazing bakery! The selection and service are phenomenal! Walked away with one slice of raspberry cake, another slice of chocolate coffee cake and a loaf of apple cinnamon bread and couldn’t stop eating it. (Clearly as I’d already gone in on both slices before taking a pic!) I can’t wait to try some of their hot food and of course go back for a tart or slice of chocolate ganache cake! As someone who has had French pastries in the Lyon, the culinary epicenter, this place is a must visit!

I got the hot Ratatouille Nicoise and it was marvelous! The French Onion Soup was good. My daughter got the L’ANGLAIS Deli Sandwich and she liked it very much. I got for dessert a Rum Ball. I tried it a long time ago at another Bakery and I was sad when they stopped selling them (I thought it was because of Utah laws lol). I'm so glad they have them, and they are soooo good! I'll definitely come back for more Ratatouille, more Rum Balls, and I'll try more pastries as well.

The price seems expensive on paper, but considering you get a very large portion of food (the croque monsieur with a salad served as my breakfast and lunch today) with high-quality ingredients like a good Bechamel and delicious gruyère, I'd say it's actually a pretty good deal. I tried a couple of macrons too and they were baked to perfection. Good Colombian coffee as well. I did wait about 30 minutes for my sandwich though, and then probably another 30 after I had finished eating to get my check, so I think service could be a little faster even if the servers are nice.

Amazing bakery for breakfast, lunch or just a sweet treat. Prices are reasonable for what you get. This place brought me back to my childhood in my home country. This is a must try bakery restaurant.

Delicious food! If you're looking for a great sandwich, order the LE FRANCIAS, which has: Ham, Gruyere cheese, unsalted butter and cornichons on a French baguette. AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!!! The pastries are great too!

Where to start? Been here twice now. Both times there was plenty of choices. The first time was late evening and the second time was a Friday lunchtime. The evening visit had a few customers. The lunch visit was quite busy. Both times the young women at the counter were super friendly and helpful. They new what was in all the treats we asked about. The dining area was very clean. This is a new favorite place to get dessert. If there is something particular you want and it's popular I recommend going early. They frequently run out of desserts that are in the counter

Absolutely fantastic! The menu is far more robust in the shop then what is shown online. Amazing menu, great portions, and INCREDIBLE food! The pastries are the best I have ever had, and I am just sad I had not found this place sooner! I cannot recommend this place enough! Get here as soon as you can and enjoy! So good!

Delice Bakery is among the top 1% of great places to eat along the Wasatch Front. The entire menu is uniformly excellent and surprisingly diverse - want lox & bagel that would be at home in New York? Order it here. However, the true glory of this wonderful place are the wonderful deserts. On this visit I had Croissant bread pudding while my wife enjoyed Mille feuille... you'll find them pictured here. These photos caused my IPhone to drool!

I stopped by to grab some treats for the office and they have a great selection. Delicious pastries and so many options. I plan to return for the breads which they will slice up for me. The customer service was also wonderful. They have hired an incredible team to run the front end. I will definitely return.

Met friends for breakfast. This is my second time here . Had a fantastic breakfast the first time and the Quiche I had today was wonderful. The crust was light and flaky and the filling was so creamy. We all decided we have to come back for lunch next time. We all got some pastries to take home....the choice was hard, they have so many delicious offerings.

I’ve been coming here for my cakes for over two years now and will keep coming back. The waitress Marisol is one of the best waitresses I have ever come by and because of her we keep coming back. We’ll also because they have some of the best desserts in town! The staff is always friendly and attentive. I highly recommend them.

I don’t recommend this place for dinner. The pesto pasta was definitely microwaved and the chicken pesto sandwich was very mediocre. From the other reviews, it sounds like this is more of a breakfast/pastry place. The desserts are 10/10 but I also agree this is not a destination bakery. The service is okay. The staff members were really friendly and our server was super nice but never cleared our plates so they just kept piling on the table. They also don’t come around with water. I’d only come back if I was in the area and had time to waste.

First time to visit. Delicious Cafe and bakery. Lots of tasty choices to choose from. I had the egg on brioche with apples and melted Brie which great. The bakery has so many delicious choices. The prices are surprisingly low with all the inflation going on.

Fantastic selection of baked goods. Everything was delicious including turnovers and croissants. The queen anom like pastry I thought the sugar glaze was too sticky to the teeth. Cakes looked great but didn't try them yet. Really nice people too - I asked them to cut everything in half and they were happy to do so.

This is one of my favorite casual places lately. Service is friendly and the sandwiches and breakfast are all solid--the BLT is very good. The portions are large--be prepared to have leftovers. The highlight is the bakery--big selection of delicious desserts. The Pailletin has been one of my favorites since the chef was at Gourmandise before. The location and decor aren't the most charming, but the food more than makes up for it.

My wife and I just left there. The service was good, soda from the fountain was flat so I sent my Coke back and got a bottle. I was a little disappointed that they do not serve FRESHLY squeezed orange juice. I had the banana fresh toast, that was ok. But my wife got the chicken pesto panini, now that was pretty good!! I would recommend that, overall experience was good but not out of this world.

I bought a cannoli and it was quite delicious. My wife and I also had breakfast there. I had the savory French toast (it was essentially a Monte Cristo sandwich) and my wife had the breakfast croissant and both were good. There was a rush and so service was slow, but kind. Overall a decent experience and I do think I would go back to try out more of their bakery items.

Bright and open little cafe. Took me a few times going in circles because the sign was small so I kept missing the turn in. So many dessert choices! I was able to pre order a red velvet cake for my sisters birthday and it was quite good ^_^

Discovered this place just by driving by and very glad we did. Large, excellent, and varied pastry selection. Lunch menu has some French influence but still covered the basics very well. Wanted to go back the next day. Very popular and busy the whole time — wait staff working it hard. Recommended.

I am a Vegan and was worried I wouldn't find anything to eat at Delice, but there is always oatmeal. OMG, this oatmeal changed my life! It had a toasted brown sugar layer with an abundance of fresh fruit on top. It has been a few weeks since my visit and I still dream of the oatmeal. I gave away some of their sweets to friends and I only heard good things. This is a quaint little joint with amazing service. I was impressed!

First time I stopped by to pick up treats for work. Was so impressed with quality and friendly vibe of the bakery. The cream puffs were so good I couldn't wait to try another time. Sat before Mother's Day, my husband treated me with lunch, (Cobb Salad, very good) and we took two cream puffs home with us. Sadly they were over baked, and tasted burnt. Was so disappointed. Lesson learned, if they look to dark, don't buy them.

AMAZING pastries and breakfast options! Tried the “Bonjour Panini” and it was delicious and very filling. Asked for a side of French toast and it was made and presented perfectly. Also tried the “Baba Au Rum” and it was moist and flavourful. The crème filling was smooth and light. The owner Jean Jacques is very welcoming and friendly. The waitresses were extremely attentive and polite. This place has the perfect recipe of great food, and wonderful service to keep you coming back and having a great experience. You HAVE to try them out!!

Where to start... the pastries seemed so inviting, we ordered a few, some were not French as they were too sweet so I'd call them French American, the macaroons were the freshest I've ever tried, the pistachio was delish but too sweet. We sat for 1 hour before we got any food, the waiter brought us complimentary bread and it was so old it fell apart as i tried to open it to butter it, it was crunchy from being old and very dry... if you're going to offer complimentary anything make sure it's fresh, this turned us off from buying bread to go. We ordered the French dip and that was sooo good, the chicken pesto panini was not good, it had so much pesto that you couldn't taste anything else nor hold it as a sandwich (also I ordered no pickles and it came with it, I sent it back and when I went to take a bite I could still smell the pickles, after a short conversation they made me a new one but I had to argue with the manager as she kept on saying it was a different order they made, finally I told her to taste it herself then, and they made a new one) their chips are just lays nothing special, a bit pricey for what it is and very slow service, I don't know if we'll return, it's going to be a while before we do because of the pickle accident and the argument. She did give me 1 free pastry after we went to buy some to go.

We got a few treats here after lunch down the street. The food is good, but overpriced notwithstanding. You can get more for the money, but if you want high-quality authentic French pastries and aren't price-sensitive, this is a good choice.

What can i say, everything was perfect, i went this morning, the girl with red hair and tattoos was really kind and nice she gave me some recommendations on the menu also dessert, i got the tiramisu was so creamy, moist, and flavorful, turkey bacon avocado panini was good !! Good food and pretty good options to pick from. Service was good, and they do not rush you to decide or while eating. Their pastries look divine. Lot and lots of options to pick from. We filled up on lunch, so be bought pastries to go to eat later. We started with hot cocoa which was a bit pricey, but truly is everywhere. We choose panini sandwiches. One being the Rustic Italian and the other the Turkey Avocado. Both served with chips, pickle spear and a small bit of an orange. Would recommend and would go again.

I know the owner from way back, when he used to be at the other bakery. I am so glad he left the other bakery and opened his own restaurant. I just love the desserts, cakes he makes, they are very delicious. If you want a good comfortable place to eat, this is it. Great food as well. We just had the Chicken Panini and the Berry Salad. We shared the two dishes, delicious, healthy. You can substitute or take away you don't want, like me, I can't eat chips or cheese. Over all prices are reasonable, stuff is friendly. I recommend this place to all, and I am a very picky person when comes to food, atmosphere and friendliness.l

Oh my to have such a wonderful bakery and cafe in the So SL area is a blessing. The food is great and the baked goods like walking into a patisserie in France. Shown a loaf of Cinnamon bread makes the best French toast yummy. Still the best baked goods in this part of town (update 1/2023)

Such a great place! Super cute French bakery, very clean and nice. Delicious desserts with all your favorite french pastries. We got the Muille fulle (probably the wrong spelling), which is out favorite dessert with strawberries, custard and flaky pastry. I also got the fudge cake and my husband got the tiramisu. The tiramisu was my least favorite (because I don't care for it and the others were better). Definitely worth a visit, and we will definitely be back.

I fell in love with this place! I’m a really picky person and this place met all my expectations!, This place is perfect to have a date, go with family or birthdays they have delicious cakes I tried the tiramisu slice and my wife loves it, i really recommend this place for everybody. I don’t know if to say that this is a modern Gourmendise on a better location but maybe not as charming or to say that this is a fantastic French Bakery and that’s it.I guess each description is accurate for me and I’m sure for many others. French pastries are a delight here and I can honestly tell that you won’t find better ones in Salt Lake City , with the exception of Gourmendise. The food is ok , nothing exceptional.The Paninis are good and the salads too , specially the Berries one , but nothing outstanding.But both are less than 10 dollars so nothing to argue here. The hot chocolate tastes like the good European hot chocolate that I enjoyed when I was a kid. But the pastries are the reason that I would come back after I become diabetic I guess (yes , there that good!) Mercy Beacoup !

Great place to read, work, meet a friend for coffee and a good panini, salad, snack or dessert! The cream of mushroom soup was just like we’ve had in France! The chicken pesto panini was good as was the individual cheesecake. Service was friendly and the seating area was very clean.

The food is excellent! I've tried several menu items and every time I have said "This is the best......I've ever eaten." The service has also been exceptional. It is a little loud when it's busy so difficult for conversation. It didn't matter once the food arrived at the table. We were too busy eating.

Clean presentation, beautiful desserts. Melt in your mouth mousse, just the right amount of sweet. I'd say on par with gourmandise. I'm not sure what's best yet. Seems to have a better parking situation than the downtown gourmandise and slightly better hours of operation.

Pastries are very good with a nice selection. I was disappointed that I was passed over twice to be served after making eye contact with the staff behind the counter indicating that I was next. When I was not acknowledged the second time it was because an older women who was helping the customers that jumped ahead of me pulled the young gentleman who was going to assist me with my order took him to assist the customers she had already been helping. I understand that there a times that people can get overwhelmed, but it is the employees responsibility to take notice of their customers. I will debate if I will return again.

We split the brie & apple breakfast Panini and the cinnamon bread french toast and absolutely loved both! The breakfast Panini was the best sandwich I've ever had and I'll order it again 1000 times over. The tirimisu is soooooo creamy and was exactly what I was craving. We are so pleased that we tried this bakery and will be back again for sure!

This may be the only REAL cappuccino I’ve had in SLC. Most places serve a latte, but this café gave me a mountain of foam. They also have a wide variety of european style pastries. Croissants are delicious, as is the Raspberry Pistachio tartlette. For fans of Gourmandise, the owner of Delicé is the same chef who developed their recipes! Same quality without the hassle of driving downtown.

Passionate chef and cooks here! Delicious local brunch and friendly staff (the Chef even greeted customers), plus delectable breakfast available ALL DAY. The salmon pastry dish with lobster sauce was absolutely amazing! (It was a special today but) I hope that gets to be on the menu regularly because the pastry was a perfect, delightful pastry and complimented the salmon and lobster. The baked banana foster french toast was incredible, too.

Saw this place on FOX13 with Rich. Decided to give it a whirl... Said hello to Rich and thanked him for the story! So, we did have brunch and it was fabulous!!! Our server, Ryan was super awesome and really attentive!!! Id come back just for him! Yes, he was that good!!! The food was great too!!! One BLT and a Breakfast Croissant. Fannnnnntastic!!! Fantastic variety of bakery items. Everything is flavorful and visually stunning. Purchased my third bday cake (Raspberry Mousse) and it was amazing. They use edible chocolate bark for dictations intended. Highly recommended.

If you need delicious and beautiful cakes, pies, cookies or pastries Delice never disappoints. We make the drive from further South regularly to buy from this local bakery. It is great for a lunch or dinner bite to eat too, but mostly we are there for desserts. There are so many options and ALL of them are amazing. We love stopping here for a birthday party or any event we need a quick dessert for. There is usually a line, but there are also lots of staff available so it never takes too long.

One of the pastry chef must had been working at gourmandise bakery (either in downtown or draper, utah location) before Because all of the pastries, cookies, croissants, danish, a la carte menu is totally the same. Overall it was great to be there. Basically it's like going to the cheaper version of gourmandise. I did buy some more dessert to take away but I haven't try it yet. I did buy raspberry and mango tartlette, powdered sugar cookies and almond horns. My friend bought tiramisu, fleurentine and rum balls.

This is a good local bakery that offers variety of pastries, bread and a full food menu. I enjoy their Black and White Cake and all the coffee drinks are delicious. I am taking away 1 Star because: 1. The server made us uncomfortable that we are not ordering food but "only deserts" and coffee 2. We were rushed with the bill To be honest they shouldn't call themselves European or French bakery at all, because of the 2 points I made above. This sets up unrealistic expectations from a customer standpoint.

Unfortunately the wait staff isn’t as interested in getting a new table, as my party and I waited for 50 minutes to get a scramble and lasagna. Not the best experience, and it’s not the first either. The pailletin is excellent. And the breakfast eggs are excellent. As for the cakes, the black and white mousse is better than the plain chocolate one. The fudge cup is not great. The chef is really amazing, and most things are the best in Utah. The only shortcoming I've found is the chocolate frosting (and the chocolate glaze to a lesser extent), just because there's not much difference at the grocery store in those items. Everything else I've tried is extraordinarily good.

Loved this place! Will be going here again. Got the French onion soup and cream puff and I want it again! The cream puff was as big as my face, and I'm now inclined to say that's the only correct size. And the soup had a slice of bread under a baked slice of cheese, which is just the best.10/10 would recommend.

We really enjoyed the desserts that we picked up. We ordered a baklava (this variation is different from what you would get at a middle eastern market in terms of flavor, but it was still good) a fruit tart with strawberries and kiwi, a croissant and a canoli. They were all really good in flavor and textures were crispy and flaky in all the right places. It was definitely very crowded when we got there. It did feel a bit expensive. Not that the price didn't necessarily match the items, but the baklava was like almost 3$ for a small triangle.. that was a bit steep in my humble and sometimes incorrect opinion. The fruit pie was also kind of steep. Over $5. They did all taste really really good. I bought almost twice as many things from another pâtissier and spent the same. This is definitely a treat yo'self type of place and it's worth the visit and worth revisiting!

Running an errand brought me to Délice on State Street. And, uh, can I say, so happy to have popped in....I said it! The early morning blahs don't get yawned out easily lately. While on an errand this simply elegant window front store caught a ray of sunshine, tickled my nose, and then squinting into the store, curious, the display case happened. Walking thru the doors you see a simple and clean cafè with the delight of bakery goods a-plenty. The photos are a sample. The experience is a must! These good folks are clean and have humbly posted a mask requirement so that all may continue to enjoy the artistry showcased, which is meant for the sustanence of the soul. Purchased were an eclaire, a chocolate dipped sugar cookie, and a cheese danish. To put into words my pastry experience might take from your own. I say, go and get ya some yummins! ( yes, yummy for your tummy, yummins) Afterall, we all can use a little Délice in our day. I am glad I did!

Our server ignored us... never checked on us....rudely made eye contact with me and then passed us by... just all around rude and a terrible server. The freaking bus girl gave us better service... she filled our water glasses, brought us to-go boxes, brought our check, took our credit card and brought back the receipt...I should've given her a tip. Absolutely love this little deli/bakery tucked away in plain sight in south Salt Lake. Although anything off the food menu is delicious, their impressive array of beautifully manicured pastries and confectionery goods is their most breathtaking and delicious strength in my opinion. The mocha chocolate layer torte was fantastic. It was creamy and very very rich each of the five layers was a flavor explosion. Definitely want to try the other flavors and come back for the mocha torte. The lemon curd tart was good but the pastry layer tasted off, like freezer burn. The croissant was flaky on the outside and soft and buttery on the inside, I enjoyed it. The atmosphere is busy and bustling and there were a lot of customers eating in the restaurant area. Definitely would be a fun spot to have lunch with a friend.

There were 5 adults in our party, without exception all were pleased. The staff was exceptional, to us, each other and apparently to all, hence a very pleasant atmosphere. The cleaning of tables and even chairs were done promptly, silently, and with impressive attention to detail, nor was the floor ignored. (at one point, my wife whispered, "the restrooms are clean") My guess . . . someone in management knows people and how to orchestrate a finely tuned place. Though I never saw the kitchen/bakery area or people, we did enjoy the pleasure of their skills. Well done to all ! We often drive down from Logan to shop across the street, how nice for us to discover Délice French Bakery and Café!!

My daughter ordered the savory French toast (aka monte Cristo) and an iced cafe' au lait and I had the three egg scramble with chorizo and toast. Such a wonderful experience! I drive by this place often and got to try it for the first time a few months back during this pandemic. They take safety measures to make sure you're socially distancing. As well as making traffic flow. So the exit and entrance as separate, so you never come in contact with those leaving or entering. They always have such a variety of sweet treats. Every time I visit I make sure to try something new and I always fall in love with whatever I pick. Never have I hated or disliked one of their sweet treats. The staff is always welcoming and if you've never been always ask for recommendations and they will be happy to help. Usually, they have personal favs and even tell you what is the most popular.

Came here for a brunch while visiting my daughter (she just graduated from U of U the day before). Her childhood friend had also flown in from Houston a few days before) So the four of us had a very nice meal (Berry salad for me - huge, needless to say everyone's food was very good. Wife had to use the facilities and my daughter and I went to the pastry windows. Did you ever have one of those grab the moment moments? Between my daughter and me saying I'll take two of those and two of these and oh don't forget the marzipan thingies and those apple whatevers... So, having just spent about $112 on pastries after have spent $50 on brunch for four, mu wife returns from her adventure in the bathroom. She looks at the boxes and then spoils the moment by saying we're flying out tomorrow. My daughter, her friend, and me each look at each other and at the same time give that famous Beevis and Buthead snarky laugh - hee hee hee hee. I know what we're all having for dinner now.

You know Inlove the food, and I really enjoy all the sweets. Their service is on point if you are getting a to go order. But their sit down service is a little rough. Expect to take 10 minutes to order and then you have to ask for the check and they don't come check on you. We've been about 5 times and just have yet to be impressed by the sit down service. Still a great shop, the food is good all of it. Just get it to go and then sit down.

I sure WANT to give these guys 5 stars, because the food and desserts are spectacular! But the service is a mess. I saw my server 1 time when she took my order. Someone else brought the food out (pefect and tasty!) But then it was like pulling teeth to get more beverages. I had to go get someone up front to get me a dessert. Then again to the counter to get a box/check. 20 mins to get food, 1 hour and 15 minutes total to get out. If this was the first time, I'd just let it go. But this is 2X now. PLEASE raise the service levels! We love your food, but cannot take 90 minutes plus to come eat lunch. We are just too busy.

This is a fabulous French Bakery & Cafe. The chef is French and I am thrilled to find the quality, flavors and texture of the food to be the same as my experience in the top cafes and bakeries in France. They always have a quiche and soup du jour. The crusts of the quiche are light and flaky in a nonflour-y sort of way. The pastries are European in the sense that they are not over sweetened. My favorite meal for lunches are the croque monsieur or croque madame. Not the most healthy, but definitely worth breaking a diet or indulging for one day on. Delicious!

We wanted to try it, but are hesitant to try stuff on State Street. But we weren't disappointed, neat, clean, delicious and the pastries are the best! Spectacular! This was my first visit and I got the cream cheese danish..SO delicious, not too sweet, not too rich, still warm from the oven and it was perfect. The cafe itself was very well put together, very inviting (as I only stopped in through curiosity). The staff were so sweet and personable, I left there smiling and feeling good about myself (which I find very rare to come across with customer service these days). They could easily sell their food for more, but they don’t, but I really appreciate that. I’ve been here about 7 times, and I’m always impressed. It’s a hidden gem in Salt Lake, for sure.

By far the best pâtisserie in all of Utah. Having worked and lived in France for many years, these pastries are the closest you can get to the real thing here. Some of my favorites from the bakery: *Cinnamon bread (We get this to-go and make French toast) *Forgoza bread (herbs & cheese, goes great with soup or on its own) *tiramisu (served in cups, slices or whole cakes) *yogurt w/berries & sliced almonds (it sounds simple enough, but this homemade yogurt makes all this difference!) Finally, I like that it's casual and feels welcoming as soon as you step inside.

Delice Bakery was recommended to me as THE PLACE TO GO to order a cake when in Salt Lake City! We were visiting from Texas and needed a Red Velvet cake for my daughter’s birthday. Marisol (at Delice Bakery) could not have been any nicer when I placed the order on the phone a couple of weeks before our trip to Salt Lake City, or when we picked the cake up on 6/2/2021. The red velvet cake was STUNNING, and the flavor was out of this world. Oh my gosh, one of the best red velvet cakes I’ve ever had! Everyone at the party went back for 2nd’s! Instead of writing “Happy Birthday” in icing, which is the traditional way, they actually took chocolate slices and wrote in gold dust “Happy Birthday” and smartly placed the chocolate slices on the cake. It was beautiful! Give Delice a try.....you will not be disappointed. (I will have to see if they ship to Texas! LOL!!!)

Giving 5 stars because these desserts are DIVINE and I hope this place stays open for a long time! The owner clearly knows what he's doing. Right up there with Tuille and Gourmandise! I will say you can skip the brunch service...staff is a little all over the place and service was well below average. BUT if I could I would clear out their entire dessert display every single day.

If you are looking for delicious food and pastry around Salt Lake City, this would be the place. Only 3.6 miles from downtown Salt Lake City (which doesn't have many family friendly places), and within less than 10 minutes you can endulge in Greek paninis, european cakes, in a friendliest atmosphere and family friendly environment. A new bakery in South salt lake off state Street, had great dessert options from cookies, tartlets, to mousse layered creations. Had 2 gluten free dessert options which was nice as I'm gluten free. The menu is updated and reflects an amazing taste for classic french dishes as well as elevated Americana flare. You have to try the pan au chocolate, the chocolate mousse cups and choix au cream. And they have a crouque Monsieur and it was amazing. So much easier to get to and parking is easier. My compliments to the chef as s/he is a true artist.

This place has wonderful wholesome food. It is not a Cafe that has a bakery, but a bakery that has a Cafe. But don't be fooled. If you want a nice place to have breakfast or lunch with a wide variety of paninis, sandwiches, soups, salads, both green and pasta, this is the place. Not much from the outside and in South Salt Lake, but sparkling clean inside, a very pleasant and accommodating wait staff with four-place Cafe table settings. See their website, check out the photos. They are all real. It's their preparation and presentation. The breakfast paninis are scrumptious, sandwiches huge, and pasta plates 3 inches high. Don't get me started on the pastries. You rarely will see the variety of mouthwatering nummies anywhere. Try them. You will like. Delice!

I celebrate anything and everything with marzipan princess cake. We used to get it at a gourmet bakery on 3rd east but Delicé takes the cake. Chef JJ is always there, hustling around, smiling and chatting. The counter help is friendly and patient. Often I am undecided because everything looks so pretty in the pastry case. Parking is plentiful, easy location to access.

Nice decor; sharp, contemporary, and clean. I ordered the petit dejeuner, and the lox and bagels (smoked salmon, capers, red onions, tomatoes, and a pickle). While both were delicious, they were shy of transcendent. The croissant, and pain au chocolat were more bread-y, than flaky, and the cream cheese 'spread' for the lox and bagels came in small prepackaged cup packets, and, frankly, lacked in flavor. That said, the highlight of the petit dejeuner was the hot chocolate; nice rich flavor, plenty of whipped cream, and a generous amount of cocoa powder sprinkled on top. The highlight of the lox and bagels were the capers, the smoked salmon (lox), and the delicious toasted bagel; great flavor and texture.
