These are, hands down, the best donuts I’ve ever had. The texture of the raised donuts is like nothings I’ve had before. So incredibly fluffy and delicious, like biting into a cloud. Excuse the already eaten donut in my photo, it was so good I had basically inhaled it before I got a photo.

Just ok. If I were rating on the donuts alone it would be 3 stars. They are pretty basic, and we have tried all of the flavors. Better than what you’d get in a grocery store, but not what I expected with all of the hype. That being said, their customer service is always amazing. Even when they are packed with people they are so kind and never pushy. It’s what keeps us going back when we have a donut craving.

Great donuts. They're always fresh when I order. I'm not telling you my favorite donut because I don't want my boss to know and tempt me by bringing them to work. I will tell you that I order either 3 or 4 donuts every time I visit and three is the more reasonable number. Three leaves me feeling light and ready to be active. Four donuts is likely to induce a nap.

THE place for a truly unique donut experience! We have been searching for a place that knows how to make em’ right (compared to a favorite place in another state!). They are light, fluffy, and just enough sweet with frosting. These are the BEST donuts in SLC.

I came in for 6 dozen donuts on a busy Saturday morning (I should have ordered online but didn't even think of it) and they didn't blink an eye. They got my boxes pulled together super quickly and I was on my way within about 10 minutes even after waiting in a short line when I came in. I was so impressed. And the donuts were, as always, deliciously fantastic!

We arrived in the afternoon and there were still plenty of choices at Banbury Cross. We got a couple of buttermilk bars and I had to show some restraint not to buy six more! The texture was perfect and they were just sweet enough-- some of the best I've ever had. We also loved the raised doughnuts. The cinnamon crunch they are famous for was so fluffy and delicious. We loved the maple too. We also got an apple Fritter. We tried it but saved most to heat up later. My kids loved the cinnamon roll also. Banbury Cross is definitely worth visiting repeatedly. The customer service was great!

I had the most pleasant experience this morning at Banbury Cross. I was picking up a dozen donuts for my team but couldn’t math properly at 6:30 am and decide which flavors I wanted. The man helping me was so patient. I ended up with my usual favorites, strawberry and Bavarian, along with some other popular choices like the maple bar, the twist, and some glazed donuts. I can’t give enough compliments about this place! They make their donuts fresh, the toppings are on point, and the prices are reasonable. I find other donuts too oily, too sweet, or too dry. Banbury’s donuts is just right.

I could smell the donuts as soon as I stepped out of our Airbnb and knew there was a donut shop nearby. Had to come in to try it and wasn’t disappointed! If it’s busy don’t let that turn you away - it’s well worth the wait for the food, atmosphere, and really nice employees. Sorry we made a mess on the table.

This place is AMAZING!!!! Some of the best donuts I’ve ever had! The consistency of the dough being just the right amount of soft / fluffy with a great chewy texture too. Can’t go wrong with any flavors but I personally loved their Maple the most. Show up real early if you want to have a selection of flavors, as this place sells out real quick! I’m told the Blueberry is another must try, but unfortunately for me they were already sold out by 9am on a Sunday.

No gluten free options here unfortunately. My family loved their donuts though! There are only a couple tables inside, so you may not be able to eat in if it's busy. They have a drive through option as well and have a few parking spots in their lot

Best donuts in Utah!! The cinnamon ones and maple bars are a must but really I say splurge and get a bear claw!! NEVER disappoints... Well unless you don't get there early enough and they sell out! I wish they made more donuts later in the morning if they start running out. It SUCKS to drive up from Utah county and not get what you want, or sometimes anything besides glazed 😢 *** edit *** We went at 6:30am today to get donuts for our son’s 20th birthday. We were able to get an entire dozen of the AMAZING cinnamon donuts and a 2nd dozen of assorted donuts including THREE maple bars!!!

It's got a small parking lot, it can accommodate about 10 cars parked, they do have a drive through for quick pickup. I asked for an assortment dozen, and some donut holes. The staff was extremely friendly! The donut holes were amazing, they treat the donut holes as if they are real sized donuts, filled with some type of filling, dipped in chocolate, or topped with sprinkles etc... they're in the upper right of photo 1. The assortment was as equally delicious, their cake donuts are moist, yet dry enough to have the perfect combination, the actual dough that they use for their donuts is light and fluffy, not dense and heavy. You know you're eating something that has been perfected over years. I would gladly go back to this place and get donuts again. This donut shop is the kinda place you bring your kids to create memories that will last a lifetime.

I arrived to banbury when the line was long and out the door. I was in and out within only 2 minutes. They managed the crowd with good organization and amazing service. Best fritters and maple bars in town!! Their cinnamon crumb doughnuts are a popular choice and also very tasty. But I tend to always want the fritter or maple bar.

Real donuts done right. I believe this is a Chinese donut shop, which is in my opinion, the best donut shops in the country are ran by Chinese people. The dough is fresh. Everything is cooked fresh. The frostings and glazes are all delicious and sugary. I would go here more often if I lived closer. Anytime I'm downtown I try to hit this place. They cook donuts all day so you always get a fresh batch. The staff is super cool and it's really easy to get the donuts from the drive-thru. The only hard part is fitting in the small parking lot, but it's totally worth it.

Donuts were pretty good, just not what I expected after all the hype I read online. Also, and this isn't about the food, but a worker (someone bringing in sugar from outside) came up to the guy at the cash register while I was playing and began complaining about a bill being passed regarding people with Down Syndrome. Regardless of how you feel about that or whatever, probably not the most professional to be having those conversations in front of customers.

An oldie but a goodie. Banbury Cross has been a staple in Utah for over 30 years. The donuts they bake are big and delicious! If you like donuts, Banbury Cross is a must. They have a wide range of donuts to select from (including cake donuts). Some of the donuts I really like include the blueberry frosted, strawberry frosted, cinnamon covered, and apple fritters. Whatever you choose you can't really go wrong. You can either pick your donuts up and go or stay there and enjoy them. They also have a drive through for your convenience. The staff is friendly and knowledgable.

The staff are wonderful and kind and the selection is great. The donuts are well made and delicious. This is a great place to go if you want one donut, or two dozen! All of the donuts are fresh and they have all the classics, plus some new ones. The drive-through is super convenient if you are in a hurry or you could eat in.

Honestly, If there are better donuts out there, I don’t want to know about them. These are dangerously tasty. Maple bar is my personal favorite. Pro tip: park and walk in instead of waiting in the drive-through. You’ll save a good 20 minutes of idling.

I grew up going to Banbury Cross Donuts and I have yet to find a better donut. They’re sweet through and through. I LOVE the strawberry donuts, maple donuts, and cinnamon donuts the most. With Banbury Cross, you cannot go wrong with whatever you pick. They’re the only donut that stays moist and soft for days just sitting in the box. I would eat just the breading of the donut because it is just so good. The icings on top are incredible, too. Keep up the great work, Banbury. I share about them when ANYONE mentions a donut. There isn’t a donut I’ve had that’s anywhere close to as good as Banbury Cross’ are. It’s a must-eat in SLC.

Love these donuts! Donuts are my weakness and I've tried many. These are probably among some of the best I've had. I don't really care about a store's political opinion whatever it may be, I care about the customer service and the quality of the product, which are top notch at Banbury. Don't expect the visit to be a quick in and out, however. Sometimes there is a bit of a line.

I love these donuts, but today was a weird enough experience I'm not sure if I can justify the long drive out of my way for these donuts again. I went in to the store to order 4 donuts, 1 of which should have been a strawberry donut. I got to my car and realized they neglected to give me the strawberry one, so I pulled in to the drive through to order two strawberry donuts this time (truly they're phenomenal so now I wanted one😂). I ordered my two strawberry donuts and drove 40 minutes home to find two sad, unfrosted, non-strawberry, plain glazed donuts in my bag. I understand an honest mistake, but to have it made twice by two different employees in 5 minutes was disappointing.

They have the best donuts in all of Utah but the worst phone etiquette. You would think they could hire an extra person or two to take phone calls thus equalling more phone orders. They are always rude when I call and often times they put me on hold forever or even hang up on me because they are too rushed. I have read a lot online about this company not treating their employees very well. 3 stars for good donuts but not good customer service. Lets hope the Centerville location will do it right.

The cinnamon and the chocolate cake donuts were very good. Soft and light but still had a nice chew. The cake also had a nice crispness on the outside too. I don't usually get blueberry but that was also good. They have donut hole versions of some of their regular donuts which is a really nice treat. There's also a drive-thru if you don't want to go in.

Love the donuts here. The fresh Fritters are good. The cinnamon ones are also good. Fast service that isn't very friendly... Makes you feel like you need to hurry and get out. Overall totally worth it. Building is fairly clean. Update: I understand and appreciate the need to get EVERYONE one of these delicious donuts! I just have felt a little at odds with the staff a few times. No big deal. Overall you're winning it though and I highly recommend everyone get these donuts!

Wow, talk about some airy donuts! They have a signature cinnamon donut that's like eating airy, fluffy cinnamon toast crunch. 18 dollars got me a dozen donuts (including a fritter), filled donuts are extra, and a dozen donut holes. Two additional points 1. The young man taking our order was terrible. Not only did he act and look like he rolled out of bed but he had no idea about basic questions (what's an old fashioned donut? It's an old fashioned donut. Do you have any raspberry filled glazed donuts? Uh... What?). He may have just been high and if so I'm offended he didn't offer me those special donuts 🤣 2. The older gentleman and fellow customer were fantastic. They were knowledgeable, friendly, had great customer service. Not sure if it was the owner but I'm assuming it was and if so he's the magic of Banbury Cross!

Best donuts in Salt Lake, raised sugar is as light as a cloud and like all their choices, it's delicious! I also love being able to order by phone and drive thru to pickup. Love this place! It's been a family favorite over the past decade. They may not be the faddish crazy donuts but I appreciate the traditional, tasty perfection they continue to serve. Banbury Cross is one of the best places to get donuts in Utah! Period, end of story. The chocolate covered Bavarian Cream donuts are excellent, as are the old fashioned donuts and buttermilk bars. Here's the thing, Banbury Cross is consistently one of the top 5 donut shops I've ever been too. They have a great selection with wonderful flavors but the real star of the show is the cinnamon crumble. It's pure perfection. It's a donut I crave fortnightly. Pillowy soft, moist yeast donut that is light and fluffy and moist all at the same time. The cinnamon crumble coating is divine. It is the perfect thickness, not too sweet, not took cinnamony, but pairs perfectly to the donut. Do yourself a favor and just pick up a dozen of these bad boys and then anything else that sounds appetizing.

A great place. Always happily take a large order to be picked up early the next morning. You walk in and they acknowledge you even though they are busy. They do get backed up in the am but they are running fast. Donuts are great, well priced and fresh, support small business before they all disappear.

Plenty of fresh made donuts, even at 11 a.m. Tha apple fritters are filled with chunks of cinnamon apples, and the chocolate iced chocolate cake was perfection: delicately crispy on the huge outside, fluffy and soft on the inside. Wonderful bear claws, and good coffee.

Donuts here are nice and fluffy with a great flavor for the basic ones and some of the special ones. The fritters are OK with the apple one being the best and the cherry one is different. The cake donuts are average with other places being better. The chocolate bar is good if you like dark chocolate but I feel it does not go well with the donut base. Glazed and jelly filled are my favorite ones to eat here. If you like cake donuts other places are better.

Anyone else notice that most of the negative reviews regarding the sign are from people who have only written reviews in other states? They obviously don’t live in Utah. Have they ever even been to Utah? They are also clueless about the whole situation and clearly are not currently in any position related to the service industry. Quit saying it’s because they aren’t willing to pay enough. I have job ads out paying $30 an hour for a job that paid $15 an hour two years ago. I am not exaggerating. Still can’t get any reliable help. Regardless, let’s keep the reviews about the actual product. Banbury, your donuts have been the best in the state for decades. I actually thought I didn’t even like donuts until eating yours. Now, I’m a donut connoisseur! I haven’t lived in Utah for a while, but we always make a trip to your store when we’re in town. I’m excited to bring my kids here now and share your donuts with a new generation. Yum! P.S. I think you should quadruple the price of your donuts.

Some of the best donut shops around SLC Utah. They have a cinnamon one that is to die for. And with seasonal and Holliday treats they always have something for just about everyone. At times their drive through gets really packed/crowded. If you see it backed up park on the street and walk in to order you’ll save yourself a headache.

I drive from Utah County to this location to spread some cheer through the neighborhood! Great donuts! These are spudnuts, so they have a slightly different taste. The cinnamon are my faves! Forget the reviews that wax political. The sign on the door is NOT political, it's reality. Ask any small business owner in the service industry and they will tell you the same thing. Hiring is a major struggle right now and there's nothing indicating a change to that situation in the near future. Point? Be patient with the lines and the staff (which was the entire point of the sign).

They have the most amazing donuts and always have. I have frequented them for many years. This particular day they had just closed and were beginning their production for the next day's business, but the gentleman at the drive-thru window was so accommodating and so pleasant he allowed me and my guest to purchase donuts after the usual business hours, which was very much appreciated. I usually love your donuts. The plain glazed are my favorite and I've had them many times. Today, I was disappointed. I'm positive that they were day old donuts. They were cold and not as soft and fluffy as usual. Your donuts are the only ones that are still good the next day and I usually do buy extras for the next morning but to sell day old donuts without telling your customers is not right. I'm sure I'll go back again but today I was very disappointed.

My wife and I were up in Sugar House and she wanted donuts but the Dunkin' had closed down since the last time we had been up that way. Decided to do a search and found Banbury Cross Donuts so I decided "Screw it, let's give a local joint a shot." Got a Maple bar, 2 maple donuts and an apple fritter and it was only $6.05 so price is definitely a 5 star aspect. When I pulled in, there was a sign saying "Award Winning Donuts" to which I'm skeptical because some awards can be handed out all willy nilly. Let me just say, these are some of the best donuts I've ever had and very much deserving of ANY award they have received there. Honestly, if I could choose a place for donuts in Wendover (since we don't have one other than Smith's) it would be these guys (business opportunity?). We were very pleased with our donuts, and fritter which managed to be dense but still fluffy. We will definitely be back for more.

I have been here a few times in my life, and I have to say that these donuts are by far the best! Their glaze donuts honestly melt in your mouth. They are like a soft fluffy pillow and they are worth eating 2 of them. I do have to say that it's kind of sad that I now live 45 minutes away for this delicious piece of heaven, but I'm thinking that it's probably a good thing or else I would be weighing 8000 pounds😄😄. That was 3 years ago 🙈 They are so award winning that the native Utahns and senior locals know enough to show up as close to opening as possible. Any other time and you risk long lines and sad dreams of sold-out products. So, last week, my friend and I set our alarm for Sunday at 6:10am, to throw shoes on and drive down 700 E to get there within opening hour. There were already people coming and going but no line. Excited, we walked in there overwhelmed at the choices laid before us. They have white cake and chocolate cake donuts that come with a variety of toppings. They have traditional donuts and filled donuts. They have their own version of donut holes. Muffins, bear claws, and rosettes. ... they have apple fritters. Needless to say my friend and I obviously ordered almost all the above mentioned and threw ourselves into a sugar coma— but i digress. These donuts are worth getting up early for.

Okay I get arguments on this all the time but I think it's the best donut made in Utah. I really love their Rosetta or butterfly glazed donuts they have just a touch of cinnamon that's perfect. Their twists are big. My wife and I both love their chocolate covered donuts, she prefers the bars over the regular donuts. They do the same thing with their maple and my kids love those. My daughter-in-law loves their blueberry cake. I like their cake with chocolate frosting a lot also. if you're going on Saturday do it early. I liked that the donuts weren't overly sweet. Most of the time when I try to eat a donut I'm "sugared out" before finishing. The chocolate cake donuts were very good. They were fluffier than I'm used to, but we loved them. We went at the end of the day when they were out of almost everything, so we were just taking what they had but it was very good. We will go back. Maybe a little earlier next time for more selection. When it gets close to closing time they close the lobby but you can still go through the drive through up until closing. Highly recommend. My new favorite thing to do right before closing is to ask for assorted dozen of whatever they have left. Always a fun and delicious surprise.

A local favorite for years, Banbury cross hosts what I would freely say are the best cake donuts I have ever had the distinct pleasure of stuffing myself with. Honestly, I can never have only one. The outside has a perfect crisp to it, and a lusciously moist and soft spongy inside, and the icing is never overdone or overpowering, even on more standout flavors like maple. At a FANTASTIC price no less, Banbury offers a great selection of donuts and attentive staff, though it is worth noting that the shop will close in the afternoon so make sure to get your fix in the morning. When I leave SLC, Banbury Cross will be one of the things I will miss the most!

I've never had a cake donut like these! My family has been telling me for years about this place, so when I came to town I had to go. They were out of most of my family's favorites, so we went with the strawberry cake donuts, chocolate coconut, and apple fritter. The cake donuts were AMAZING. Light, fluffy, and not overly sugared (it's not the typical large granule sugar that most places use - but rather a lighter sugar). It's hard not to eat three of them in one sitting! They have many different kinds of donuts and they all seem just as good as the sugar donut. They're made right there on site. I love the drive-up window!

If you get the maple bar, you won’t be disappointed. Unfortunately we ventured away from the classic donuts though. We got an orange roll, a sticky bun, and an apple fritter. The apple fritter was pretty good, but the orange roll and sticky bun were pretty dry and didn’t taste fresh. We also had to wait an extra 5 minutes to pay after getting our donuts, which isn’t a deal breaker, but it could be run a lot more efficiently with the amount of workers. All in all, I liked this place, but there are plenty of good options around here so I probably won’t go back.

Can get busy in the mornings, but the staff gets orders taken quickly. Best part, the prices are totally reasonable. I do wish that they'd offer a paper bag with handles for their large boxes (even at an additional charge) as it can be cumbersome to carry a few boxes.

This is THE best donut shop I have ever been to. You NEED to go here if you enjoy deliciousness! The parking lot is tiny, and the drive thru wraps around the building, so you might be afraid to compete for a spot, but it would be worth parking down the street if you have to. And don't be afraid of the line that is usually to the door... I have yet to have a slow employee, they get you through quickly and with a good attitude. There are some chairs and tables in the store, and you will not be disappointed to stay there and eat your donut as fresh as you can, but they will make it home or to the office and still be good. Even the next day, if you have any left, they will be okay, but the fresher the better, for sure. I haven't had a flavor I didn't like, but just a heads up: the maple is pretty mild, not like a grocery store's super fake flavored dark maple bar. And on the other end of the spectrum, the chocolate is super dark chocolate. The cinnamon is my favorite, and the sprinkle donut holes are amazing, too. Any time I'm in SLC this is a mandatory stop... If you haven't tried it yet, do yourself a favor and grab a dozen!

Came into Salt Lake City from Wyoming and wanted to stop by a donut shop while I was in town. This donut shop was so highly rated that it was the obvious choice. My family and I arrived just after eleven. I was pleased to see so many types of donuts still available. We loaded up with many different types bear claws, apple fritters, old fashion, and cake donuts. The donuts tasted good, they were not warm which is to be expected at eleven, but they were just good. Nothing exceptional. The workers were very nice and even offered my daughters donuts free of charge that had been a little squished from earlier in the morning. Overall it was a good donut shop, but not one I would go out of my way to return to.

PRO TIP: If you want a random assortment, don't leave it up to the employees. Better to pick them out yourself. We ordered 36 random donuts and got only a few different donuts over and over again, instead of random donuts from the many they offer. So annoying. Branbury Cross Donuts are a must try if you are visiting or living in Salt Lake. They're the best baked donuts. They have many original flavors and types of donuts. One tip is to go earlier in the morning when the donuts are fresh. Although, be mindful of the drive thru. It can quickly get crowded and long. The parking lot isn't very big, so if there's a line, you're going to be idling out on the busy street.

Giving 5 stars because they have really great, classic donuts and it's a Salt Lake staple. I hope they never remodel, because it feels like a 30 yr old donut shop should. My only complaint is the customer service. I've had some of the worst service here- standing around for way too long for someone to pay attention to me and feels like I was putting them out by asking for service. It's not always this way, but I hope the owners notice the problem and take steps to hire the right people and train them appropriately. Still, even with this, I'm still giving five stars. If Banbury Cross only served their cinnamon donut, that would be enough for me to patronize the place (I call that variety "spice donuts" because that's how the donut shop in my old home town labeled them; pardon me if I slip back and forth between the two). It is without question the best cinnamon donut I have ever eaten, and I've eaten quite a few, from quite a few places because I love anything flavored with cinnamon. I even like the fake cinnamon flavor of those kind of disgusting, big, red gummy bears. So on the one hand, I'm not very discriminating when comes to cinnamon; on the other, I've had many spice donuts, pastries, etc. I am an expert amateur when it comes to assessing a good cinnamon cake dessert, and again with no qualifiers: Banbury Cross cinnamon is the best donut I have ever tasted. They always have a thick layer of cinnamon and sugar caked on the outside, but never so much that it overwhelms the soft, doughy donut flavor beneath it. Those donuts are truly one of the few perfectly made dishes I've ever eaten, and as I said, if the place was just "Banbury Cross Cinnamon Donuts", I'd be all over it. But that is not the case. BC has a variety of donut types, more or less the usual spread one would expect from a donut shop. I have to admit, however, I've only tried (besides the spice) the sprinkled cake donuts, glazed donuts, and the chocolate bars and rounds. I'd like to try other kinds, but those four are so good that I can't bring myself to waste time with others. I don't really care for maple donuts, or orange sweet rolls, so why order them when I could get a couple cinnamon donuts, and a dozen rainbow sprinkle donut holes? Or a chocolate sprinkle donut, a glazed twist, and a half-dozen cinnamon donut holes? Come to think of it, I rarely even order chocolate for myself because it's good, but there are other places that have pretty good chocolate donuts. Heck, 7-11 chocolate donuts are pretty decent when fresh. I originally went here back in 2015 and wasn’t impressed. Drove by here on a Sunday as bought why not let’s give it another try. Only ordered an original glazed and Chocolate glazed. Both were very soft, fresh, and tasty. Prices were cheap. Took the drive through - doesn’t fit many cars so go at an odd time. I will try it once more before it gets a full 5 stars.

For the person who left a one star review saying that the donuts were too sweet, they sell donuts, they consist of sugar and dough, and that is why we buy them! And the the person saying that they are only open in the morning, this is a donut shop and most are only open in the morning. Donut selection is not as big as larger chains, which might upset you if you want a French cruller, but the taste is great. I recommend trying Banbury whenever you're in town for the taste and quality alone. However, donuts go fast and it's hit or miss if you'll be charged extra for hand picking or getting filled donuts: I've had one good experience and another where it cost an extra five dollars for a dozen before I headed to work.

So today was the first ever time visiting this establishment. I ordered a glaze donut Cost is 1.14 after tax and sadly it did not blow me away. Reminded me of scone dough in both taste and texture. My first experience with their donuts was when they catered a morning meeting for us and they were delicious! Unfortunately, my first experience in the store was not as great. I do have to caveat it with the fact that I came in the afternoon so the donuts were not fresh but that's OK. My biggest small complaint was that the cashier and help seemed like they could have cared less to help my wife and I and were just trying to rush us out of there. To top it off they gave us the wrong bag of donuts. Luckily, we were able to figure it out before we gobbled down the sweet, rich, and gooey goodness.

Hands down some of the best soft and crispy donuts I've ever had. Vehicle traffic is a serious problem here. Drive through traffic was backed up into the road, causing slow downs for the regular road traffic. We were able to find a parking spot and walk in to get it donuts pretty easily though. We even sat down inside to enjoy them. If they can figure out their vehicle traffic issue this would be 5 stars for sure. Maybe a second location? They certainly seem to have the demand.

A great selection of donuts in a quaint little donut shop. They had lots of young employees helping customers. Even though they had a great selection of donuts, it seemed chaotic inside. They weren't overly busy, but they didn't have a lot of donuts on the shelf. They just told customers that they had donuts in the back and on a few carts that were brought in. Parking was scarce, but the store does have a drive thru, that was busy the entire time we were there.

My workplace colleagues bring donuts from here all the time, and I liked them, so I decided to go there. I bought a dozen donuts, and the menu said it was $9.98 or something for a dozen. Their clerk initially typed in $9.98 or something, and the machine said $1 something for tax. So, my total should've been around $11. But, after the machine displayed tax, the guy typed added $4.XX to my charge, making the total over $15. It was very crowded, and I didn't want to cause people to wait, so I paid and left. Then, I called them to ask about this surcharge. A guy answered the phone, and after I asked the question, no response. I could hear the background noise and people talking, so I know the call was still connected. I kept saying, "hello. are you still there? hello?" No answer, so I gave up. Their donuts are good compared to other joints, but I must say their customer service and the weird extra charge I received make them less than ideal.

Totally old school and delicious. I went there 3 times in one day. By mid morning most of the popular ones were gone, so I had an orange swirl muffin thing (that was awesome, but not a doughnut), an apple cinnamon sugar muffin and chocolate sprinkle hole. When we went back in the afternoon for our third visit of the day, they didn’t know answers to questions about the place or history and didn’t care; just wanted to take the order and get us out before closing the inside. The drive through is old school.

I just have to say how impressed I was with this establishment! My husband and I had just taken my son to Primary Children's hospital and a good friend of mine had suggested we take our son, who loves donuts, to Banbury Cross. So for a pick me up, we headed there right after our appointment. As my husband went to pay, we had some problems with our credit card, which never happens but a gentleman that worked there came up and said for us just to take the donuts and come back and pay the IOU later. I like your donuts. I would eat them every day if it weren't for the health concerns. Anyway, positive feedback is great but occasional negative/neutral feedback gives you more actionable information. So my criticism is about the giant cinnamon donuts. We get a couple dozen BB+ donuts every Friday and the giant wagon wheel sized cinnamon donut is always the last one to go. Often time it goes uneaten. I have tried to eat it and it creates a terrible mess. Its too large to get in my mouth without having cinnamon crumbles go everywhere. I had to stand over a trash can while I ate it. Perhaps other people like it and would revolt if it were excluded from the standard mixed dozen. But I say take it out unless specifically requested. Are you sure people like it? Thanks, Mike

Everything from sweetness, doneness, and price make this the only place I will get donuts. Other thoughts: I wish the coffee selection was bigger, but for a drip pot of coffee I was darned impressed.

After seeing this place on Instagram it was on my radar I had placed it on Google maps as a want to go location. Was driving around on the weekend trying to find a place to feed the family while also needing to be timely I’m getting to where we were trying to go in so I was nearby. My wife and I decided that if this place is that good we would ignore our keto stance for a meal and try some fritters. The whole family was very happy with what we got here and will gladly go back the next time we are in the area without a reservation for breakfast.

However the staff isn’t great, it was after opening and I was outside with another customer while one lady looked at us but continued to work behind the counter as we waited a few min for someone else to come out. There are plenty of doughnut shops to choose from in the downtown area but Banbury has really figured out how to bring flavor, flare and even brilliance to their donuts. I grew up in NY where the morning doughnut with coffee rains supreme, well this place outshines even the posh donuts from the "Big Apple". I have actually stood in line with friends at the drive thru window just to order and I have never been turned away. Their business model and employees are so friendly and wiling to satisfy that they have even put together a unique doughnut that I enjoyed back east but was not able to find out west here. If you happen to be downtown and nearby go have a taste and see for yourself.

First of all, the only reason this isn't 5 stars, is because of the customer service/lack of personality in the place. Their donuts are absolutely amazing...best in Salt Lake City. They're all good, but my favorites are the vanilla cake, the chocolate raised and ny whole family love love love the jelly donut holes. But, again mist of the people who work there (high school kids) suck at their job. Smile kids, its free. Although there is one girl there who is awesome and is the one who told me about the jelly holes. She's always nice, and a pleasure to talk to. Not sure her name.

It's like taking a bite out of a Krispy Kreme donuts except instead of air you're getting dough. These donuts are huge, but still light and airy and melts in my mouth. I'd have diabetes right now if I came daily. It's a good thing I live too far to want to commute here more than once a month.

This place has everything your favorite donut place requires: simple storefront, early morning hours, those nostalgic cardboard boxes, even a drive-through. Fast, friendly service. Forget all those fancy flavors that have popped up to try to trendify something that's already a good thing - these are classic, simple, fresh, sugary donuts. But lest you think they are boring or limited - they have tons of flavors so you can get whatever classic you used to secretly pick up with your favorite grandparent or aunt or uncle who promised they wouldn't tell your parents. Maple bars, rosettes, bismarks, Bavarian cream, cinnamon crumb, old-fashioned glazed. Blueberry is one of their secret fan favorites and always sells out early.

On behalf of my wife and her friends - I'm not a huge donut person - this place has extremely tasty donuts. It can get pretty packed in the morning, but the staff is very quick and get the line moving pretty quickly. There's also a drive-thru.

Tried an apple fritter and a cinnamon roll. They were both okay, but not great. Apple fritter lacked enough apple, and the cinnamon roll tasted like it had a bit of citrus in it, which as a personal preference for me is not enjoyable. I wish I'd read the reviews in advance and tried the glazed. Will be back to give it another shot.

This is my favorite donut shop in Salt lake. I have been going to this donut shop since i was a kid. Go early when they are fresh and you will easily fall in love and get fat but it's worth it. Super awesome staff and amazing donuts.

The donuts are always good, but everytime I come in here there is a short woman who I assume is the manager and she is always telling off one of the guys in the front right in front of customers. Today it was because someone didn't go get something out of the shed and she had to do it herself. This is extremely unprofessional and it was very awkward to stand there and listen to her scold the guy who was trying to ring my donuts up on the register. It took way longer than it needed to and my family had to stand and listen to her repeat herself over and over. The girl behind her was even making an awkward face about it when she made eye contact with me. Someone needs management training.

We'll be coming back whenever we're in salt lake city. The price is the same if not cheaper than your everyday grocery store. 0.99 for a single donut and a little over $9.00 for a dozen.
