One thing I want to assure you, is that Love and Cake has it all. Amazing looks and great taste. I called Sarah just a week before my daughters 1st birthday and she lovingly took my order. She understood the image I had right away and was able to apply it with perfection! Her attention to details (as you can see from the pictures) is just a skill few people have. The taste on the other hand was marvellous. The flavors I ordered were The classic for the cake and Lemon Berry for the cupcakes, and both were bomb and were the topic everybody was talking about for a week after. Thank you Sarah for making my daughters 1st birthday a special day 😃

Love and Cake is amazing!! We ordered a firetruck birthday cake theme along with some cookies from Sarah, and she delivered! The cake and cookies are perfect; all the details that come with them are truly works of art - super detailed and tidy! They are by far the best cake and cookies I have ever seen. The cake was too pretty to eat, but once I had a bite, I couldn't stop thinking about it. It was just so delicious - not too sweet and very light. All in all, you won't be disappointed! We're definitely coming back to order more cakes from Sarah next time.

Sarah is amazing! We’ve ordered two cakes from her and she absolutely nailed them both. The floral cake had real flowers on it and was just beautiful. The pancake cake is vegan due to my daughter having an egg allergy. Sarah was in constant communication and sent updates as needed. She was very patient and accommodating. Sarah with Love and Cake is amazing. Her treats are incredibly delicious… those kind of cookies that melt in your mouth but still look perfect for the theme!! I had Love and Cake make the cake for my son’s first birthday. I was impressed by the amazing cakes on her page as well as the flavors she listed. Sarah was quick in responding to me. The flavor and texture of her cake was phenomenal (we went with the birthday cake flavor)! It was truly a huge step up from what I had been used to at other cake shops. The cake design was a little off from what I had envisioned, but overall it was a beautiful cake and everyone at the party was impressed. The design process was from my imagination and not from a picture, and art is a form of expression. Although this may not have been my favorite cake from Love and Cake, working with Sarah and the spectacular flavor and taste of her product has definitely intrigued me for another cake!

Sarah from Love and Cake made us the perfect wedding cake! We got engaged at a special carving of our initials that we made in a tree 8 years ago, and we knew we wanted to find someone who could incorporate this into a cake for our wedding. We did a lot of searching online, but so many of the cakes we found that were meant to look like tree carvings were so fake looking. Sarah made our vision a reality! Her attention to detail and the way she was able to make our cake look like a real tree was unlike any other vendor we could find. Other cake vendors didn’t even come close to being comparable to Sarah’s cakes. Her cakes truly look like works of art. Not only was our cake perfect, but Sarah was also very friendly and easy to work with. She invited us to attend a tasting of 12 different flavors of her cakes. We were able to pick what flavors we wanted for each tier of our 4-tier cake. It was so difficult to choose only 4 flavors because all her cakes tasted amazing. She also provided us champagne to enjoy during our tasting, which was very thoughtful! Sarah also went above and beyond by helping navigate through some extra booking requirements that our venue needed from our vendors, and she truly was so great to work with! She also drove 2+ hours to deliver our cake to our venue just outside of Sedona, which was so appreciated! Most importantly, our cake was delicious. Since we wanted a large/tall cake to portray our tree carving, the cake we purchased was meant to serve 120 guests, but we only had 80 guests. We figured we’d be bringing a lot of leftover cake home after the wedding, but the entire cake was eaten! It was so good that many guests were going back for a second slice! It is rare to find a cake that tastes as good as it looks, and Sarah exceeded our expectations. THANK YOU Love and Cake! We look forward to ordering a mini version of our wedding cake from you for our 1-year anniversary, and we will absolutely be back to order even more cakes for other occasions in the future. We highly recommend Sarah!!

I have had the pleasure of ordering a few cakes from Sarah. She is creative and her cakes are delicious. She always has a cake ready to go if you need something fast and she is super reliable. Most of all, she’s great at taking criticism, one of the cakes didn’t come out the exact way I had hoped, still it was very beautiful and tasty but she took my concerns humbly. I came to her last minute, after COVID changed my original elopement plan, and she was not only able to do it but created a cake more perfect than I could've imagined. It was not only STUNNING, but the flavor was the best of any wedding cake, and carrot cake, we've ever eaten. We loved it so much that I contacted her before our year anniversary for another small cake, and she was able to make us a mini replica of our original wedding cake. Oh my goodness! Sarah did an amazing job on our wedding cake. We needed a Dairy Free cake for my now Husband and we were struggling for so long to find someone willing to do it for us. When I reached out to Sarah and told her what we needed she said she could do it for us! We did a cake tasting of 12 different flavors all Dairy Free and my word they were all delicious! We got a 3 tier cake with 3 of our favorite flavors! Strawberries and cream, lemon berry and pumpkin bourbon! We had no cake left over our guests loved it and they couldn't tell that it was Dairy Free! It was beautiful and elegant couldn't have asked for more! Thank you! Amazing Cake and Very tasty, I was looking for a cake on the same day for my wife's birthday and found this place on the google search and gave her a call just few hours ago to see she can prepare a cake on such a short notice. She was very quick on her response and sent me a sample cake. She made the cake ready before the time I need and exactly the way she described the cake in the sample picture. Later I also requested for a small change if she can add my wife's name on the birthday tag on the cake she added and I was very happy with the cake. Sarah saved my daughters party. Another business didn't have my order the day i was supposed to pick it up. Update: A few days later we picked up macarons for my daughter’s graduation pool party. Once again, we were thrilled with how beautiful they were. The flavors were absolutely amazing too. I contacted Sarah when I was visiting Scottsdale and in need of a last minute gender reveal cake. Wow! Did she deliver. After an initial phone consultation where I sent Sarah some inspiration photos, we had to move the party location and then transition to a virtual party last minute. Sarah was very flexible with changing the delivery address. After some initial confusion about the time (which wasn't an issue at all) the cake arrived just in time to cut it and reveal our family that we were having another girl. The cake was not only gorgeous, it was exactly as I'd pictured it and tasted amazing as well. My whole family came down with Covid and Sarah went way above and beyond, offering her expertise as an RN, dropping off a birthday card for my Dad AND a sweet mug of roses that really made our day. I got a cake for my son’s first birthday from love and cake, and the cake turned out to be amazing. I send Sarah a picture of the cake (from Pinterest) a couple of days ago the party and the she made the cake look exactly the same!! I was really impressed when I saw the cake because of its perfection. Also, communication with her was very easy and she was really professional. Sarah is fantastic! She squeezed in a last minute order for my son’s birthday and delivered in record time. It was our first custom cake order and she worked with us quickly via phone/text on both design and color to make the idea come to life beautifully with great attention to detail. The flavors were truly exceptional—salted cream caramel toffee crunch was the most decadent and well balanced cake I’ve ever tasted. My son also requested white cake with cookie dough that turned out so well (no yucky over-sugared taste) that both kids and parents were coming back for seconds! I needed a last minute cake for my husbands birthday and let me tell you — Sarah with Love and Cake did not disappoint. She had a beautiful lemon berry cake ready for pick up at 3 pm the next day with a topper! This cake was so beautiful and tasted even better than it looked. Sarah is amazing! She’s personable and willing to work with you on what you want for your wedding cake. Ours turned out perfect. I cannot say enough good things! We were absolutely stunned by the amazing work Sarah has done with our Rolex inspired cake. We sent Sarah our inspiration photos and she perfected it better than we could’ve imagined. Moreover she was patient, understanding and kind. I explained that I wanted a Bali/Moroccan theme cake but did not have an exact design in mind. Words can not describe how grateful we were that Sarah helped us at such short notice. She made the most amazing 50th birthday cake for our friend. It looked like a masterpiece and too good to eat. I initiated this cake order with just a vague idea of what was wanted and Sarah was responsive and immediately started sending me some options. She seemed excited to add all the details and this cake did not disappoint. It looked better than I imagined it would and was just beautiful! Because I had been disappointed with the taste of a previous cake order (not from love and cake) I wasn’t expecting much figuring taste is sacrificed for aesthetics, but this cake was also delicious. These cupcakes are beautiful! I had a Super Mario theme party and Sarah designed them simple, yet beautiful powerup cupcakes. I went with basic chocolate and vanilla for the kids but the cream icing is AMAZING. The only small criticism I have to say is timing, since pickup time was slightly delayed. My partner have ordered from Sarah in the past and pickup time was also delayed as well. Luckily no problems for either of us. But I think these things can happen unexpectedly from time to time so a tip to all is to be smart and pick up a day ahead to avoid scrambling to make it to the party.

Very thankful to be working with Love and Cake. They produced a beautiful cake and a dozen cupcakes for my daughters birthday. The design was exactly what she wanted and the flavor was absolutely amazing! I’m stuck between giving a 4 and 5 star rating only because the delivery was an hour late (she explained she had issues with the driver), our cupcakes were heavily stuck to the paper when peeled (she explained she used new liners for the first time to try and match our theme), lastly the Happy Birthday topper we requested wasn’t included. All that being said, Sarah did reach back out to us the next day sincerely apologizing for the lateness of the product and thanked us for sharing our feedback on everything else. We know things happen and just appreciate her willingness to go above and beyond to make things right. Because things didn’t go right the first time, I gave a rating of 4 stars but her efforts afterwards definitely are rated at a 5 star. We will definitely be using her again and can’t wait to see what she produces for our Christmas party! Thank you so much once again.

We came to Arizona for a girls birthday trip with 7 girls and kept changing the cake idea , flavors and design multiple times and she was more than happy to change it and go with such a large group idea of how the cake should look!! THE BEST!! Sarah went above and beyond to make the perfect cake for my boyfriend special 30th birthday. What a great way to send him into his thirties than with a specially designed cake depicting everything he loves! My boyfriend is super in crystals and plants and Sarah nailed it right on the head! The cake was a geode cake design with roses and lives succulents that we planted later on. It was a two tier cake with the bottom being chocolate fudge with a cookies and cream filling and the top dark chocolate with strawberries and cream. The cake was $300 and so worth every cent!! What surprised me about this cake was the flavor, nothing is better than a moist cake and the taste was even better than it looked. Nothing disappointed about this cake! As fas as the service 5/5 stars, Sarah was able to take on my request only 4 days before I needed the cake (which was also the day of her birthday) helped me pick flavors and lay out the design. Phenomenal service, cake, packaging and I got compliments from everyone who seen it! Will definitely be order again, highly recommend!!

The flavor and texture of each piece of cake is unique and phenomenal. This review is coming too late, and my apologies to Sarah, who deserves far more than my belated compliments. My experience with Sarah was nothing short of incredible from the start. I have a very demanding work schedule, and occasionally, important to-do's can get placed on the back burner (much like this review). When my boyfriend's daughter's 8th birthday was just around the corner, I had the great, last minute idea of commissioning a custom cake that would make her day magical. She is a huge fan of unicorns and Slytherin (a girl after my very own heart), so what better cake to have made than a Slytherin unicorn?! With only 5 days to go before the big day, I was frantically calling bakeries that offer custom cakes. Of course, everyone was booked out. But when I contacted Sarah and said, "If it's feasible, here is what I'm looking for," she simply replied with "Anything is feasible." I knew I was in the right hands! We exchanged images and ideas via text, and her invoicing system was easy as pie (or in this case, cake). Within an hour, everything was underway. I elected to pick up the cake, and Sarah's tips and help loading were more than appreciated. When I got my first look at this confectionery masterpiece, I was blown away. We often hope that reality can meet our imaginations, but it rarely happens. This unbelievable cake was an exception to that unfortunate rule. The Slytherin unicorn was sheer perfection, right down to the hand-crafted Draco Malfoy wand, and knit-look house scarf. When I say this cake was flawless, I mean the very definition of the word. And if you can believe it, the back of the cake was just as beautiful as the front, with a silver glistening teal mane running the entire height. The cake was even split between two flavors and fillings to satisfy a variety of preferences. When the birthday girl saw her cake, she was enveloped in complete wonder! Sarah is a true artist, and this cake was every bit worth the money. I will be reaching out to Sarah for all future custom design needs... but I promise to give more notice! Sarah, you have my full gratitude, utmost respect, and envy for you talents.

Sarah was easy to talk to and discussed every little detail. We settled on a chocolate cake with strawberry and buttercream filling. The top of the cake had Jack Skellington and Sally with Sally kneeling and Jack handing her a rose. With the caption "meant to be" on the base of the cake. All the guests absolutely loved the cake. I have ordered two cakes from Love & Cake. For the cake itself I give 5 stars - Sarah graciously accepted a difficult set of allergens for the cake recipient both times and for that I am beyond grateful! The cakes were beautifully designed. The only negative was that both times I came to pick up the cakes they were not ready. Luckily she was able to get them finished up quickly (in less than 30 minutes) and we were not late for either event. The cakes are expensive but I was willing to pay for it because it gave me the opportunity to have a cake that my sisters girlfriend can eat - this option is not available from nearly any other bakery in the entire valley! Not only did the cake meet all of the allergy requirements but it tasted amazing! Sarah does beautiful and stunning work. She is a very gifted artist and puts her heart into her work. Unlike some of the other reviews I read, I found her to be extremely communicative and never once felt like she was not responding to me! I have to start by saying that Sarah is so wonderful to work with. We ordered our first cake from her in March of 2017 for my bridal shower as a test run for the wedding. We got two different kinds of cake. One of the flavors for the two tier cake was tiramisu. I love tiramisu and this absolutely hit the spot. It had delicious thin layers of chocolate ganache in it that added perfect texture and flavor. The second layer was a lemon cake with fresh lemon curd, whole berries and her HEAVENLY salted butter cream. Guys I could eat a tub of that salted butter cream on its own. This flavor ended up being our FAVORITE. We ordered this for our wedding and everyone raved about it. We moved out of state the same month as our wedding but have made a point to order it twice since then when we were in the area. Every time we go to visit my family (2 hours away from Phoenix) my husband regrets not having ordered the cake. He says it is absolutely worth a 4 hour drive. I have also ordered a few other cakes for friends baby showers and birthdays. No one is ever disappointed. Sarah’s decorating speaks for itself (just check out her instagram page). The flavors of her cakes match her decorating skills. I have recommended Sarah to everyone I can. My sister is getting married next year and plans to use her too. I highly recommend her for any event. She is talented, compassionate and ethical.

Sarah is so talented! She did our wedding cake and cupcakes and were amazing! We also got to go to a cake testing and tried many flavors and she served us with yummy almond champagne! By doing the cake test it was a fun experience with my fiancé and we got to try so many yummy flavors to choose the right one for us and our guests! We did a small cake for us that was classic vanilla with raspberries and did chocolate, vanilla, and pumpkin bourbon cupcakes. Let me tell you... these were amazing! She did a perfect mock picture for us off some photos I sent to her and found the perfect colored roses for our cake! She even did a beautiful cake topper with our married name! We got to eat on the left over cake for days! Highly recommend her! She is professional, timely, mad skills, and on top of all that is a nurse also!!

I ordered 2 dozen of cup cakes on super short notice and Sarah was able to fill my order in the time I requested. The cakes were so yummy and was a huge hit at my party!!! I definitely feel that the name of this company is spot on, the cakes are made with love and you can taste the difference. I ordered a dozen of the carrot cake and a dozen of the classic chocolate, both were so yummy. The cakes also really stood out at the party because you could tell they weren’t just your typical grocery store-bought cup cakes. I look forward to ordering more in the future and trying her other flavors.

She works out of her house which I wasn't expecting but she does masterful work. My sister ordered a cake for my birthday last minute and Sarah was able to come through rather quickly. Going to a specialist in their field is always best and Sarah is a true expert in her craft. We had a vision for a cake that aligned with my outfit for my birthday and she did not disappoint. I don’t have the picture handy but it was a cake with suspenders and a bow tie. Not only did it look spectacular, it tasted amazing. She was so thorough in her detail and also answering questions about what would make this cake taste best. She was extremely easy to work with and coordinated everything from preparation of the cake to timing of drop off. The cake was the center piece of the evening and blew everyone away! Recently we hosted a retirement party for my husband and I who were PE teachers and a friend who taught in the classroom. My son and daughter-in-law were unable to attend. They surprised us with a cake from Love and Cake. The cake design was incredible! It had design elements from teaching PE and then things you would see in a classroom. When the cake was displayed, the house was packed with teachers who immediately were in awe taking pictures! Sarah did a fantastic job! The cake had two different flavored layers, was moist and tasted delicious. We had 60+ people and everyone took a piece.
