Reviews of Five Daughters Bakery | 12th South
Sana Qureshi
We got a variety of donuts. My favorite was vanilla cream and my fiancés favorite was raspberry. The ambiance is very cute inside and the 100 layer donuts were delicious !!! Highly recommend. The customer service could have been better. The young lady at the front desk wasn’t very welcoming and helpful with selection. The coffee is also not freshly brewed. We ended up throwing that away. Still a good spot to check out during your stay in Nashville ! Stick to the donuts.

I had to say the donuts taste good but the price is also relatively high. The average price for one donut is $5, but I bought two that cost me $12. The strawberry lemon one is very good! The strawberry sauce in the donut is very fresh. The lemon frosting is a 10! The texture of the donut is different from the dough style, it is more like a puff pastry. Overall, I do recommend the strawberry lemon flavor. The place is cute but the staff is not very friendly. Kind of overpriced. I won’t say you must try this place when you visit Nashville. But don’t miss it if you love pastry desserts!

I just had to stop in before leaving Nashville to see if the donuts lived up to the hype. I was not disappointed! Friendly staff and a variety of interesting and unique flavors to choose from. I ended up deciding on the Summer Berry Crisp and the Vanilla Cream. Both were tremendously good but that Sumer Berry Crisp, phenomenal! Dare I say the best donut I’ve ever had?! Quite possibly! They are definitely unique and unlike any other I’ve had. You’ve got to experience this for yourself. Maybe go on your first day in Nashville and not your last, as I wish I would have been able to try some of the other flavors!

Five Daughters Bakery is a must visit place if you’re in Nashville. The donuts are fresh and so good! Also, the building is super cute too. Love the pink on green and the “I <3 donuts” painted on the wall outside. They’re not your typical donuts. These are more like Cronuts. Soft, fluffy and a bit lighter. I recommend trying the Strawberry Shortcake, as that was my favorite. Wish i had been in town just a few more days so i could work my way through all the different flavors. So i don’t quite remember how much i was charged for the iced coffee, but it’s super small. Not only is the cup small, but also full of ice. Quite disappointing.
It was busy on this Sunday. The line was out the door. The counter near the door is for online orders and coffee pickup. If you’re in a hurry, i suggest ordering ahead.

Five daughters isn’t just the hype, it’s WORTH the hype! I have heard five daughters for so so so long that I was wary it would live up to my expectations. And my oh my it did!
First off, the service is super quick. We got in and ordered our 100-layered donuts! Yes the layers are what five daughters is all about. We sat outdoors in the sun and savored every bit of the delicious, creamy donut. I was so so so in love with the taste and delicious fresh layers that I ordered one more of the blueberry lemon donut.
The cream is sinfully light and the layers are deliciously beautiful! I can go on but I highly recommend trying Five daughters in Nashville! They have daily specials and different flavors! Check it out!

Truly decadent and delicious donuts. The ones with filling in the middle are out of this world. We loved the 100 layer ones, but I do wish I would have tried some of their “regular” donuts too. Hoping to next time we are driving through Nashville again! Our favorite was the maple bacon (with real thick and quality bacon), the strawberry with lemon curd filling, and the Hubbs love the Cinnamon Toast Crunch one. They are a little pricey, $34 for half a dozen with 2 black coffees, but they were worth it and coffee was just as delicious. Staff was immensely friendly as well, always so important for the experience. Thanks!!

This is my favorite donut shop!!!
I just love their cronut (hundred layered donut) and their mini donut collection!!!
You get a wide variety of flavors.. and we simply love almost everything we have tried until day.
Vanilla cream - hundred layers is our go to item each time 😍
Jeni Beni
Cute place, gorgeous donuts. The maple donut was good but a bit overly sweet. It’s dusted in sugar, has a thick layer of maple frosting and there’s some sort of sweet cream filling. It was unexpected but a good snack for 2 people. The purist donut was my favorite. Vanilla cream was my fiancés favorite.

You can't buy happiness, but you can buy donuts and that's basically the same thing!
I tried to keep my hype low due to the insane raving I heard about FDB... The hype is warranted!
Donuts were great, loved the cute playground, plenty of seating. Definitely worth a stop, even a quick one. Don't worry about the line. It moves quickly

I was apprehensive coming into this situation. I’ve had several poor experiences with “cronuts” or layered donuts, but I just keep telling myself, “Keep trying! One day you’ll find a flaky donut master!”
Thank God I kept trying.
The 100 Layer donuts at Five Daughters are daringly delectable. I played it safe with a Chocolate Sea Salt and Vanilla Cream (really trying to get a good, simple cronut. Did I already mention I was apprehensive?) and was pleasantly surprised. I’ve never been more impressed with these two seemingly simple flavors.
The chocolate icing is perfectly balanced, with the sea salt adding a strong, complex flavor. The vanilla cream is wonderfully light in both texture and flavor, totally disappearing on your tongue within seconds.
The donut itself is light, flaky, and not overly sweet, greasy, or dry. I’ve come to understand that while lots of places may claim to have great layered donuts, most of them fall short, or miss the mark completely. Five Daughters however, nails the 100 layer donut from every angle.
Absolutely worth your stop!
Angela Davis
Absolutely loved this cute little spot!! They are known for the 100 layer donut - a donut made from croissant dough with assorted fillings. The blueberry lemon (pictured) was absolutely incredible, as well as the Vietnamese coffee (both highly recommended by staff). We loved it so much we came back for to-go donuts. Beware, those best sellers sell out fast! The outside patio is quaint. Loved!
Ryan Rhodes
Amazing donuts. The vanilla cream was our favorite. The inside had stuffed cream and the donut itself was flaky with a perfect texture.
Wide selection to choose from and the service was excellent.
Dylan Richter
Are you kidding me? The vanilla cream donut is perhaps the best donut, if not generally the best item of food, this world has ever seen. I unfortunately live 5 hours away so I’m not able to eat 1 every day of my life (I would if I could) so to compensate, I bought an additional freezer exclusively for my stash. I stock up every time I or someone I know goes to/through Nashville. Also, I will be writing my local government representatives in support of a new bill that will force Five Daughters to ship nationally. I encourage all to do the same.
Chase Hart
Cute, one of a kind donut shop in a converted home with free parking. Friendly staff, clean and delicious 100-layer donuts! Definitely going back the next time we visit.
Alexandra Dékány
Donuts are good but very sweet for my liking. The mocha flavored wasn’t too good but the pumpkin donut was great. The texture of the dough is definitely unique, it’s more like a thick croissant.
Justine Vild
I've only ever been to the one in Franklin but this location happened to be across from where we were having dinner (Emery Wood Fired - delish!) so I had to stop in. Love that they were open until late for dessert (fine, breakfast too). 😋 So good! …
Col Raimond
These donuts are so delicious. DEFINITELY get the 100 layer ones. They are incredible. They also have mini ones so you can try a bunch of different flavors. It is totally worth the wait in line. We also had biscuit sandwiches and they are savory and wonderful.
White & Gray Matters
You have to get some of these Beautiful, Delightful and Aromatic donuts fit for any walk of life. The Blueberry, Pumpkin Spice, Pecan and Snowcapped were all delicious for a treat after dinners. Custom made donuts are such a treat to eat.
Thank you to the owners for these tasty treats.

Donut Series, Part 3
Does sibling rivalry really exist? You better believe it and the ladies at “Five Daughter’s Bakery” are competing against one another to make you the best donut possible.
Located in the “12 South” neighborhood in Nashville, Tennessee, it’s a bit of a walk from downtown so we’d recommend driving here instead.
If you’ve been keeping up with our exploits then you’ll recall that we recently sampled a Pumpkin Spice Latte to usher in the Fall season. While that PSL was good, the donut version we had today was unbelievably better! So flavorful and that center filling was tremendous.
The “Chocolate Sea Salt” donut was on the sweet side and it’s texture more resembled a croissant than your typical donut.
For those who are interested, they offer multiple Paleo and Gluten Free options.
If this place was located a little closer to our hotel I seriously think I’d visit every single day until I had sampled each of their creations at least once (or maybe 3 or 4 times).
And that’s…Henry’s Take.

Best donuts I have tasted so far in US, they have excellent frosting and different flavors, we were on road trip and visiting Vanderbilt university and on the way decided to get quick stop for snacks, this was our excellent choice, our kids too enjoyed and the cream was so fresh, I remember in India we used to get fresh cream and frosting in some places, this place reminded me the same tastes. This would be a mandatory place to stop for donuts if you are traveling Nashville. I couldn’t get more pics of the donuts as we were busy eating and forgot, the parking would be a challenge if you would be getting there on the weekends so be prepared to make rounds and look for your spots but trust me it would be worth the wait.

This is donut heaven 🙌🏻 If you aren’t calorie counting you need to eat these! No one makes donuts like these beauties.I love the mint and pink decor. A must visit if you are around 12 south …

100 LAYER PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE DOUGHNUT is to die for!!! I visit every year to Nashville Tennessee and this is always my first foodie stop. Large bakery, clean displays, attentive staff and delicious doughnuts + more. You can tell owners and employees are passionate about their product and hope it continues. Thank you for wonderful experience.
Caroline Fausel
As a Paleo food blogger, this is one of my favorite places EVER. They have Paleo (and gluten-free!) donuts. Yes, please! 🍩
We love the mini donuts for our kiddos- they’re just the right size! They also enjoyed the play area right outside.
There are TONS of donut flavor options- something for everyone!
There is also plenty of parking out back, which is a rarity in the 12th South neighborhood!

Visiting Nashville, I followed advice that lead me directly to Five Daughters Bakery. I did not know what to expect but found out I truly have not experienced a truly magical donut before - sorry Krispy Kreme. These were everything I wanted a donut to be and more. Many layers of good ness served by a friendly face! They are attentive to food allergies and helpful.

We were here for a quick night capp and sweet craving it’s was Blissful 💜 donuts are 100 layers and mini donuts are the best.
However I have been here a couple of times and they are always sold out blueberry donuts which is anytime of the day. …
Carter
This is the best donut place in town. My favorite was the King Kong donut. The cinnamon cream cheese was also very good. This is a must stop for a sweet treat. Will be returning soon.
Ellie B
So delicious! The Paleo donuts were amazing, as well as the hundred layer ones. Definitely go here!
Aubrey
I cannot live near this bakery 😭 that is my one regret. THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC! The donuts were so good I can honestly say it's the only place I want a donut from. No other donut will do in all of Nashville! I would suggest you come prepared to spend around 4.50 a donut but it's Worth every penny. It was obscenely good. I am so happy I found this place. I hafta take all my friends here.
David Gregory
Had a lovely experience here. Very unique concept with their “cronut” idea. Light and flakey and delicious. Would highly recommend their infused doughnuts—especially the blueberry lemon doughnut.
Msworldwide1
The croissant donuts are delicious. I wish they had more variety in the minis. They're like tiny bites of heaven. The lemon and the original glaze were good.
KayLee L.Nieland
The absolute best donuts you could ever get!!! I have been to many bakeries but this place is by far the best. The donuts are always fresh and ready to eat. I would highly recommend. I stop here evertime I go to Nashville

Omg the best donuts ever. A must try - Don’t miss this place if you love donuts. We were in Nashville for my birthday and we were looking for cake shops and found this place. Immediately we thought let’s celebrate with donuts instead of the regular cake. I love donuts and we had to try these specially when they mention about 100 layers and have so many good reviews. We went there at noon, it wasn’t too crowded. I was quickly helped by the guy (forgot his name ) at the front. I ordered the milk chocolate sprinkles, chocolate sea salt and brownie bite ( monthly flavor) OMG they were so good, literally melted in the mouth and were finished in minutes. The brownie one was my favourite.. I regretted not getting a few more almost instantly. A little on the pricey side but totally worth it. Looking forward to having a lot more on our next trip to Nashville.
Mr. Peter Flanagan
1 donut is an entire meal but they are amazing!
I wish they offered everything in a mini so I could try them all at once.
Btw, get the minis, they're all you need for the experience but you can try more flavors!
Brock Aiken
Absolutely incredible. Basically flavored Cronuts…the Pecan Sticky Bun was 10/10.
Make the stop! A really cool and different take on a donut.
Annette Carpenter
Not a great picture, but that’s my fault! The donuts are all very visually appealing. My favorite was the sugar cookie. Definitely yummy-veryyyyy sweet donuts. They all seemed to be dusted with granulated sugar. This wasn’t a dealbreaker for me, but good to know ahead of time! We got ours at about 10 and there was only a small line. We walked by at 12ish and there was a line out the door! Get there earlier if you can.
Karina Asher
The place is quaint and cute! On a weekday morning, we were in and out in less than 10 minutes. The selection of donuts is awesome! The donuts are good! are they $5 good? Not quite. Definitely a spot to try for fear of missing out but not amazing- simply overhyped.
Sidney Johnston
Best doughnut I have ever had. SOOOO GOOD!! Great location, park in the back. Lovely safe, clean environment, and great place for insta pics!!
Shane Frost
These are layered dough donuts. Layered. Layers of thin, soft-in-the-middle and perfectly baked donuts. I gave this place 5 stars when I was here last year. Today is reaffirmation.
Xavier Moore
I will start this review from a vegan perspective. I was in Nashville back during the summer for an event and I was craving donuts. I did a quick Google search and found Five Daughters Bakery. I got a variety of donuts to take back home with me. From what I recall, I had glazed and a cinnamon type. They were delicious. Fast forward to the weekend before Halloween and I find myself back in Nashville. This time I get the Purist, The Vegan chocolate and bunch of other none vegan donuts to share with family. My father in law isn't a donut guy so when I offered him a donut he kind of dismissed the idea of having one. After seeing my slightly warm up my donut and smelling it, he said what the heck and tried one. After he tried one, he asked, where did you get these? I told him and he said he would drive 2.5 hours to Nashville just to get them. Needless to say, the donuts didn't last long as we all ate donuts. If you are in Nashville for what ever reason, I'd recommend trying this place out. Since my last visit, I have told two people about this bakery. They have both tried it and they absolutely love it.
Michy Loo
Came specifically for the 100 layer donuts bc of tiktok!!! Favorite is the classic vanilla glaze, but the chocolate chip one was perfect. The creme wasn’t too sweet, just perfect!!
Shona Wesley
Excellent Cronuts! Love that they have Mini Cronuts. First time visiting this location, they don't have much of a parking lot and the street can fill up pretty quick, so parking can be tricky. Staff was friendly, Cronuts were fresh and delicious, and they have a great outdoor area with picnic tables to sit and enjoy your Cronuts.
6-28-22 Update: Been here numerous times now and everything is always delicious and staff are always friendly and very knowledgeable. Always get a couple of minis in the flavors of the month. If you want the breakfast biscuits you've got to get there early because they sell out quick.
Meagan
This place is super cute AND delicious! My husband said this was the best donut he’s ever had (and called this bakery the best part of our whole vacation). I loved my donut as well but could barely finish it because of how filling they are. The 100 layer donut really is something special. If you’re in the 12 South neighborhood it’s 100% worth the stop.
Brittany Lynch
The best donuts we’ve ever had. Such a great and fun experience! So unique! Can’t wait to go back during our next visit. $$$ for a donut shop, which we were totally ok with because of the amazing taste.
Paul Ayers
Awesome experience hundred layer donuts were excellent. Would recommend and will return
Andrew Martinez
From NY & tried this donut. I can’t remember the name but it was exactly what a donut should be. The texture/taste enough to make me want to take a dozen back home 😂 …
Sandra Lynsdale
YUMMY!! I have heard about this place and made sure to stop here while visiting Nashville. It did not disappoint! I would highly suggest trying the 100 layer donuts (basically like croissant layers piled up into a donut) so it’s super airy and buttery when you bite into it. They also have traditional yeast based donuts. I tried 4 donuts and the donkey Kong donut was my favorite with maple, cream and bacon on it. The cinnamon sugar was awesome, and I also tried the raspberry donut and quinnamon. I also tried a bacon and cheese wheel warmed up. Everything so so tasty and decadent!! After tip and tax is came close to $26 so on the high side but worth it for sure.
Jessica Perez
Great place to try some awesome doughnuts. The layered doughnut is amazing and they have a wide variety of flavors to try. Definitely a must to try when visiting Nashville
Courtney Clem
The 100 layer donuts are so unique! I’ve never had anything like it before, but very tasty! Definitely worth the stop if you can!
K K
Cute vibes. Was disappointed it was already very picked over and very limited options by 2 pm even though they are open til 10pm! No minis left at that time. Vegan Purist doughnut was just ok.
Audrey Kirk
Quite literally the best donuts I’ve ever had. Went here twice on our 3 day trip to Nash! 100 layer donuts are DELICIOUS and the yeast donuts are super puffy, light, and the perfect amount of sweet! Not heavy like a normal donut. 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND! And when the donuts sit in the hot car/overnight they’re still light, fluffy, and taste fresh!
Jason Martin
When I walked in, Ian and Cassidy greeted me and offered recommendations when I mentioned it was my first time. The “summer berry crisp” 100 layer was recommended and OMG, it was everything they said it was and more! 14/10
We also tried the OrangeQuinn (think Creamsicle roll with a creamy filling), chocolate sea salt, peach fritter and triple berry vegan donut which were all delicious!
Even though this place is $$$ for a donut shop, it is totally worth every penny. Just make sure to tip Ian and Cassidy; they deserve it!!
Kristin Jackson
Oh my these donuts were the best I have ever tasted in life can't wait to go back.
Chris B
Absolutely amazing, we have been trying for months to get some donuts. My wife somehow were able to get it before they sold out for the day. Amazing! A must for the nashville experience, I thought the icing was a little too rich for me but in small amounts were delicious. 9/10
chris bielinski
This place has a great selection of donuts and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Check this spot out! you won’t regret it.
Jay Blumberg
We found out about this Bakery from some friends and went to try them out today. I have to say that the hype and my expectations were not met by the 100 layer donut. I found them a bit too chewy to eat with too much butter and sugar glaze. The Purist) My wife had the Vanilla cream and it also had way too much butter in the cream as well. The surprise winner here was the Yeast- raised Raspberry filled donut. Tasted like freshly puréed raspberries and I thoroughly enjoyed it! At $53/Dozen or about $4.50 each, I find this more of a one-time touristy stop; like Pancake Pantry. Overall, Other donut shops are just as good for a lot less.
Brittany Nunya
Best doughnuts I've ever had, ever. All of them are great. Get them all. If you can't get them all, at least go for King Kong.
Brandylyn Landers
Good donuts and a must try when visiting Nashville. Love the option of having a mini donuts. I've purchased them for work events and they're always a hit. As others have mentioned the coffee isn't great and service is hit or miss. I recommend grabbing a cup of coffee at Portland Brew then heading over for a donut.
Kamran Ayub
Visiting from out of state from Minnesota. These donuts are really fantastic. In Minneapolis we have places like Glam Doll which is also excellent and when we visited Portland we went to Voodoo Donuts. Five Daughters is up there with them as some of the best donuts. They specialize in these croissant-like donut crossovers. I had a maple one with bacon on top and infused with vanilla cream. 😋 They also offer mini ones we gave the kids. It's been almost a week and I'm still thinking of them. Mmm.
Atticus Pinzon-Rodriguez
The doughnuts are delicious. A bit too big (personal preference), but ideal if you are sharing. The place seems a little neglected specially on the outside.
Emily Leighty
Never had a cronut before. These are amazing. The flavor combinations all work so well together and half a cronut is about all I can eat so the expense is worth it. I went Sunday morning and I def recommend ordering online and hitting the pickup window. I ordered in line and went to the pickup window and they got mine ready very quickly. Staff is super friendly.
Sara Cathi
“100 layer donut” that is a hybrid of a donut and a croissant. Definitely a must get when visiting the area. Vanilla cream is amazing!
Elizabeth Willett
They have my favorite cookie, unfortunately it's a seasonal one (please make the ginger Molasses cookie year round 🙏🏽🙏🏽). The Franklin location at the factory sells out too quickly, but this location isn't a far drive and it's in a super cute area of Nashville.
I'm not a fan of the layered donuts - it's just not my thing, but the other stuff they sell is delicious- if you haven't been, definitely worth it!
Tara Allen 51
One of Nashville's staples- Five Daughter's, home of the 100-layer doughnut! New flavors interchanging every 1st of the month, multiple locations, and fun photo ops.
Dave Fox
So I have traveled all over the country with family and tried TONS of donut places and this is by far THE BEST I ever had. Wife and I tried 6 different flavors and they were ALL amazing!!!
Seth H
Stopped by on our way out of Nashville to try some donuts. My favorite was the Boston Cream, my fiancés was the Strawberry Lemon Shortcake. My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach for all of the delicious looking donuts. I would definitely recommend stopping by.
Rone S
I went a couple mins before closing and the employee Hannah that helped me was SO sweet and helpful despite us going at the very last minute. Thank you for giving such great service
Brittany Snow
Cute donut shop. The donuts are super sweet and large. (A little too sweet for me) and the croissant/donut concept is cool. I feel like the look and aesthetic of the donuts overshadow the actual flavor. On street and on-site parking. Line can get long but appears to move quickly. $4 for a single donut is a bit much but it’s a cool stop if donuts are your thing.
Veronica R.
I recently found this bakery on one of my many trips to Nashville. Staff was friendly. Small but enough room to social distance during this pandemic. I order 12 donuts. My family loved them. Actually said it was one of my better finds (I like to bring them treats from New places) my only gripe would be that the donut with the vanilla cream on top had way too much butter, it was light and airy but all you could taste was the butter. Other wise all of them donuts were delicious. Even a day or two after buying them.. we will definitely return for more.
Noah Wood
Super nice staff and cute outside area for the kids to play. I got the purist and fudge 100 layer donuts. The purist was perfect and I would highly recommend. I also got an egg and cheese biscuit. Heads up, it is more of a square crosaint than a biscuit. It was heavy and greasy, not really my thing.
Mark Powell
My family loved it! I did not taste the donuts but I watched and listened to my family - you would have thought they'd gone to heaven! Yum, omg, etc!
Amanda Smith
Consistently great donuts and service. I recently bought donuts for a family member with plans to mail them home. Robin took care of me. She was professional, efficient, patient explaining the different flavors, and even took the time to saran wrap the box for me. I appreciate you, Robin!
Eddy Set Go
Absolutely great spot to grab some breakfast. Staple in Nashville. I got there right when they opened and there was still a line to get in. But it was totally worth it. However their prices are a bit high. Be prepared for that. I bought 6 donuts and paid $31.
rashmi nimbalkar
I wanted to try five daughters bakery for a while now, they have one in Atlanta too but wanted to try the nashville location so when we decided to visit nashville this place was on my must visit list.
This place have delicious doughnuts, one of the best I've had in USA.
I ordered their 100 layer doughnuts in Brownie Bark, Chocolate Sprinkles, Sea Salt Caramel, Triple Strawberry and mini Cookies & Cream.
All the doughnuts were buttery and flacky loved cookies & cream and brownie bark the most. Triple strawberry and chocolate sprinkles were too sweet for my taste. Sea salt caramel was good.
They change their flavors every month. I think soon I have to visit the Atlanta location 😋😋
Basel Safi
This is a place to go to for some different doughnuts. 100 layers. Since it was our first time we decided to go for few mini ones. Chocolate chip mocha “which was my favorite. The raspberry ones which was my 6year old daughters favorite. And we had the hot chocolate donut and the cheesecake spice. The last two weren’t the best options. We also got one large donut with the chocolate and sprinkles. My son liked the actual dough under the chocolate and sprinkles.
I would definitely go back and try different items on the menu.
Lydia Coulter
I love the vibe here and the AMAZING donuts. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
Jonathan Creamer
Five Daughters is the kind of place that you’ll find yourself daydreaming about every day. The 100 layer donuts they serve are the most unique donut experience in Nashville and puts them in a class all their own. Rotating monthly flavors mixed with there staples means there’s always something to dream about.
Huma Firdaus
You will never get the flavor you actually want, ended up getting vanilla cream again, I feel like their price has gone up and quality went down. My son likes their donut otherwise it’s overpriced sugary treat that can be passed.
Joseph Raczynski
They were okay. Closer to the cronut - they did a solid job capturing the essence of the NYC famed pastry, but the toppings were a bit basic. The rainbow sherbert was the best of the three.
Eric Marshall
The staff was wonderful and helpful. Unfortunately, the donuts we just so so. We had the vegan and gluten free variety. Not as good as I expected.
Renee Fini
It's really worth the hype. These desserts were the best I've ever had. Its between a donut and a croissant. My fav was the cranberry bliss, but only offered in December. Amazing!
Derek Chin
I walked in for a 100 layer doughnut. I walked out with 6 doughnuts....that’s not counting the 3 I ate in the store. Do yourself a favor and try this life changing pastry. I have had the original “Cronut” from Dominique Ansel Bakery in NYC. These are on-par, with the added benefit of having multiple flavors to chose from. I have tried the Purist, Vanilla Cream, Maple Glaze, Sugar Cookie, and Strawberry Frosted. All outstanding. Purist and Vanilla Cream were tops.
I’m not kidding when I say these are life changing. Don’t cheat yourself, try one.

Some of the best donuts we’ve had! We came from out of town on our way through because we had heard good things & oh my word we were not disappointed! (Actually stopped twice ) (funny because it was about a week apart & the same gentleman was there to help us both times! ) very polite & knowledgeable service! Awesome selection! Will be back!

Excellent pastry and donuts as usual from Five Daughters Bakery! This location is in a house in the 12South neighborhood and in addition to great food there is a cute playground in the yard. Very limited seating indoors with a lot more on the deck outdoors. They have it worked out here where you go into the room with the pastry and then exit to the cashier. Limited parking on site, but mostly on street. Definitely a go!

Calix, Noah, Aaron are a god send!! My large online order was put in for the wrong date and they were able to accommodate me with a smile and no problem. Truly the sweetest and I’m soooooo grateful for this team. THANK YOU!!!

Five Daughters Bakery has a donut that is like a combination of a croissant and a donut with icing on top. Sound good? It is an unusual treat that is worth making a special trip to get. They have lots of varieties mostly using the same base and changing the icing flavor or filling. My advice is don't overlook the original basic glazed! It is very good and it is the one that made them locally famous. In addition to the donuts, there is a play area and the building is a cute space. Put this one on your list for any visit to Nashville!

This is a five star place. Delicious donuts
The only thing people should know is that they are so good, your partner will need a bite of mine after finishing theirs, and they're too good to share lol
Hilman Suradja
The 100 layer donut was delicious. Light flaky with great flavor. The purist was perfectly balance sweetness.
The donut however is not so much. It was big but dense and heavy with yeasty taste that I don’t really like. Service was fast and friendly.
Giovanna Iaffaldano
Amazing donuts! Have the consistency of a croissant/donut. Highly recommend the huckleberry donut and white mocha donut. Will definitely be going back tomorrow before we leave TN!
Nicole Peachey
Really good! More of a croissant/donut. I got the “lemon pucker-up” donut and it was super good! Sour, but sweet. Also, I loved the atmosphere of the place, with cute paintings on the walls and the neon letters of the bakery. Definitely instagram worthy👌🏻 …
Callie Parks
Not from Nashville, so decided to stop by while I was in town. I stopped by about 3:30 in the afternoon and they had plenty of donuts to choose from. They are overall a little pricey and I was not a huge fan of the layers. Staff were very friendly and location was convenient!

The best vanilla creame donuts
Do not miss it 😍❤️🔥😍😍❤️❤️ …
Kourtney Warren
The people working were amazing, they were super friendly & nice! Pricing is good for what you’re getting. Personally I didn’t like the donuts, too buttery for me, but they were still good. You could tell that they were freshly made that morning. We got there a little before 4 PM so they were getting a little dried out. Cute little bakery, would 10/10 go back.
Savage Granny's Klawz
Got the vanilla cream & it was the greatest donut I've ever tasted!!! Cute quaint lil bakery with nice selection of donuts you cant get elsewhere like bacon maple! The price is a lil high & theres not a certain price for a doz like others its per donut price but if you've been good & want to treat yourself or someone else this is a wonderful place to fill that sweet tooth! Definitely will be going back & spreading the word!!💙😍💜😘❤
Leah Day
Delicious doughnuts! I had the maple and my boyfriend had the chocolate milkshake. We both liked the maple best with the filling. Definitely plan on coming back next time I'm in Nashville!
A Kim
This donut shop is so cute, it’s inside an old house. I found the cronuts to be just okay. I got the classic vanilla bean one and there were lots of layers, I just didn’t get the flakeyness of the cronut and it was a little dense. The flavors were good, but I’ve definitely had much better in New York and in California.

Cool vibe, great baked goods, fast service. Loved the nuance differences in the donut construct and feel - we had the butter creme donut. To die for. Reminiscent of a Wisconsin cream puff with the character of the donut. Butter creme frosting was amazing. A must visit when in Nashville.
Miguel Angel
Stopped by here since the other Five Daughters ran out of donuts the day before. Got here in the morning and they had a good selection. So it's best to get here early. The donuts taste great but not cheap. We went back a couple of times before we left town. Will definitely will go back to get more. They ladies at this place were nice and helpful. Enjoy.
Tina Flohr
Donuts were delicious and unique! Quinnamon was fantastic and the biscuit & egg sandwich was very good! Friendly staff, cute atosphere and a play area for kids. Definitely a must go when in the area.
Dayyan Adoor
Heard about this repeatedly while in Nashvillr. After trying it out, was very well worth the hype. They are delicious! Reasonable pricing for these Cronuts (approx 5$). I tried the maple and purist. Both were excellent!
Bethaney Gallagher
Oooooo me - where do I start? These donuts are absolutely, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the best pastries you will ever put in your mouth. They are also responsible for being one of the reasons why I love Nashville as much as I do. I discovered this bakery and these mouth watering delicacies at The Factory in Franklin. Next time I returned to the city, I visited one of their standalone locations and was not disappointed. I’ve tried several flavors and all of them are AHHmazing, but the Maple Glazed and Chocolate Sea Salt are by far my favorites. My mouth waters just thinking about these things ... no, seriously. I wish they had a location closer to my home in Birmingham, but then again, I guess it could be a good thing that there’s not. It’s better for my figure and a great incentive to take a day trip to my favorite city. Keep it up y’all - your donuts have made my world a better place 🌎 ♥️!

I was sent here by word of mouth from cleveland, tn so i had to try!!! This place upon arrive is so cute the atmosphere definently draws you in. I came here with my little brother. On our weekend trip to see a concert. They have lots of donut options (even paleo)and drinks (coffee, juice, milks, etc). Order the king kong i think its called (has bacon and cream filled) the donut was amazing like a hybrid from a crossaint and a donut, nice flaky, fluffy and pretty big (filled me up) my brother got a strawberry shortcake i think. The service was great and they were pretty busy. My only conplaint is they are pretty pricey my donut was 6 bucks and with the coffee my order came up to over 10 dollars ouch but i would say i was paying for the experience i would have loved to brought some home for the family and friends but that would have broke my bank!!
Momma K's Cafe
The very best baked good I have ever eaten. (I have traveled to France and Germany, If that gives you any indication of how good this was.) It is not an ordinary cake donut. The dough has many flaky layers, they advertise 100, deep fried to perfection. I tried one infused with vanilla cream and topped with bacon. (I have literally thought of that donut experience every day since.) They offer a variety of flavors, and gluten-free/vegan options as well. They are located in a former oven factory just outside of downtown Franklin in the Historic area. The atmosphere is very family friendly. One tip: bring your own beverage of choice. The coffee sold nearby was not to my liking, and the milk had sold out.
Gourmand
Yum yum yum. If there is one thing to try, it is their King Kong Cronut. Maple glazed croissant donut with a ton of bacon on top and a vanilla cream filling? YES PLEASE! in the end, you can’t go wrong with any donut you choose. Just make sure your bank account is prepared for this experience because they are expensive but tasty!
JeAnne Swinley
These are completely unique and totally delicious. The layer concept makes them lighter and more on the sweet and delicate versus rich and dense variety which I think is more popular in New Orleans. I appreciate the small batch flavors and the freshness of keeping it on a smaller scale. I split the king Kong and the chocolate sea salt.
Lela Machado
Croissant donuts are my new favorite. Three shared between two people was almost too much. We had the maple glazed, quinnamon roll, and the life by chocolate. Really tasty. It was cool enough that we ate them outside which was fun. Lots of instagrammable photo spots if that’s your thing :)
Bryan Stouffer
Unique 100 layer donuts, taste great but sold out of certain flavors. Purist and chocolate are good but no way to eat a whole one by yourself. You could split a single donut with between three people! Absolutely worth a visit for the uniqueness and atmosphere.
Kessashun Arthur
I'm a bit of a well-travelled donut enthusiast and Five Daughter's has to be one of my top 3 favorite shops out there! They obviously spend a lot of time crafting their 100 layer cronuts to perfection. It's hard to find such a perfectly fluffy and buttery texture with a subtle crunch on any pastry. Their buttercream toppings and infusions are incredibly light and intensely flavorful. They change flavors by the seasons, and always have fresh ingredients and innovative creations. They also have a few year-round flavors that are exceptional. Do yourself a favor and give Five Daughter's a try if you're anywhere near Nashville!
Dawn Sacks
This place is amazing! Who knew doughnuts could taste like this? Definitely a must go to when in Nashville. The chocolate sea salt...yummy. Everything was yummy!
Erinn Burgess
Sooo delicious! Definitely worth a visit. These donuts are rich, tasty and unique. 10/10 recommend.
Kate Kang
Very cute donut shop. We tried several and personally I like vanilla cream the best. It’s not too sweet comparing to the chocolate ones.
Ryan Weitgenant
This is a great little bakery with cronut (croissant donuts) style donuts, along with regular raised and gluten free options. Around 6 different flavor choices. Prices are going to be around 2.45 to 4.50 depending on what you get.
Rose Perez
Customer service as well, I got the maple glazed donut with the vanilla filling. The donut was really good. However I wish I had it. However I wish I I had it as soon as it was made. Because I could taste the oil i suppose it was Fried in. I wold recommend
annie zhiye wang
loved our chocolate and original flavored donuts!! it was softer and less flaky than expected, but tasted really good
AH
Great donuts and desserts. Service was also really good. The location itself is really cool if you’re looking to take some IG worthy pics. I enjoyed the donuts/ cronut I had.
Mayu
Delicious! Friendly staff! Cute and comfortable store with outside seating. Play area for kids.
Priscilla
Loved all the specialty donuts I tried the marshmallow donut and my friend got the pumpkin latte donut. We both loved them. Such a welcoming staff. Right when we entered, we were greeted
calihant
My god these are the best donuts I’ve had. It’s like the better sister of the Croissant Donut aka a cronut.
A must have anytime I’m passing through
Alzila
Came here originally just for some pictures since we are from out of state. Saw a line forming up, so we decided to give it a try. Definitely a great spot for pastries made from local and fresh ingredients.
Dominic Crosby
Absolutely 💯. If you live donuts like I do, you'll love the spot. Great selection of flavors. …
Sophie
Amazing doughnuts, alright service. The woman out front wasn't friendly, and it took them 15 minutes to bring out after I had already purchased a cup. (Love that they sell coffee from Honest Coffee Roasters, though!)
Cookie Kirby
These donuts are different than the usual options and worth the trip. They're quite large so you might want to share. We tried several different kinds, and the original with vanilla glaze and the lemon icebox were a hit with everyone. I really liked the strawberry shortcake donut and their sugar cookie is a must if you like that sort of thing. The staff was friendly and they had water and sparkling water options at checkout.
There are both stairs and a ramp into the entrance/exit and parking in the back.
Melanie Martinez
Ordered the chocolate chip and vanilla cream! Hard to pick a favorite. Usually not a huge donut fan, but the texture and consistency of the donut itself was great, and the icings and fillings were an added bonus.
CJ
A cute, quaint bakery with amazing 100 layer donuts. The donuts are delicious. Soft and flakey. Staff was super friendly. Parking is limited in the area.
Gerylann Arden
Both types of donuts are amazing. The flavor variety was amazing. As a novelty stop, this place is great.
Richard Dragicevich
Move over VooDoo Doughnuts. These are without a doubt the BEST doughnuts I have ever had. They are pricey. According to the staff they take 3 days to make and have 100 layers. I wish I could take the bakery back to Michigan. If you are in Nashville, you have to stop and try one or six.
Travis Huber
You must must must try the 100 layer donuts. Did I mention you must try them? These are amazing!
Also if someone in your life is lactose free and/or gluten free they have an amazing Paleo menu that is just the right fit for them. My girlfriend is both and this was such an amazing treat for her to be able to have donuts again! Obviously not the same but I did have a bite of each of hers and they were delicious!
S Fradl
Donuts looked so good that I forgot to capture a photo before eating them. Not only did they look good, they tasted good. Many flavor options. Some that are only temporary and some that are their staples. Had a maple one and then a raspberry lemon. They even had paleo options for people on a special diet.
Rebecca Meadows
Really good donuts. I got the lavender blueberry and the king Kong. So delicious. I highly recommend this place and I will be back!
Kendra Kelley
I was on a girls trip and we waited in line and it was worth every minute! The huckleberry donut and glazed donut (I cannot remember the exact name), both 100 layer donuts, were out of this world! So so so so good!!
Sara Wainwright-Feldman
Epic donuts in a cheery little house. Nice variety and very well done. I wish I hadn’t been massively hungover when I went on a bright sunny day but still would recommend this to anyone visiting Nashville!
Emily Falco
These donuts are so amazing!! The flaky cressant layers combined with incredible donut toppings is a delicious combination 😋. The staff was incredibly helpful and I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Nashville!! …
Frank Clarkson
Huge fan of 100 layer donuts! Everything we ordered was delicious.
Erin C
Maple cronut is the best. Love their scallion bacon cheddar pinwheel too. The dark chocolate sea salt was too sweet for me (it’s also filled with chocolate frosting). Decent coffee. This is your sweet tooth’s dream in a trendy, cute atmosphere.
Albert Guerra
$5/donut with tax, these are definitely gourmet donuts, they're pretty good, I got one made with pumpkin and some berry topping, they have dough like a croissant, I would get more but they're too expensive 🤑. Nice job you guys have a good product 👍🏻 …
Ari Le Gut. (Nana)
Delicious! Like homemade ! If you could come to Nashville, TN definitely you need to come and visit this place.
Alexi Sakalik
I was pleasantly surprised at how fast the line went for this place. I had heard a lot about this bakery and had high expectations- the cronut (that’s basically what it is…) was good, but not exceptional. I think if you’re visiting Nashville you should stop here to say you did, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.
Morgan Treaster
My fiancé and I were looking for a sweet treat to close out our trip to Nashville over the weekend. Five Daughters Bakery was highly recommended on various social media websites, so we decided to give it a try! While a bit pricey per piece, it was worth every penny when we had a chance to try their lemon (seasonal flavor) and maple glazed flavored One Hundred Layers Donut. The unique croissant layers and chewy texture of the dough, combined with the creamy and perfectly balanced sweet filling and icing/glaze made this a standout bakery product. Other national donut chains (I'm talking to you Dunkin') need to take lessons from this place on how to fill a donut properly and abundantly. We were also quite impressed by the friendly and engaging customer service from young men working that evening and the variety of fresh options available despite visiting only a few hours before closing time. It was our first visit yesterday but certainly won't be our last when we're back in the Nashville area!
Dan Hartman
Meh. Got 3 doughnuts. Cost almost $20 (with tax, a little over $5 each). Berry one was good, not great. I did not like the icing on the cookie dough one. The third one (glazed) was just ok. Again, not great & not worth the price IMHO.
Jana Langley
Y’all. All I can say is you won’t regret it. These were the most unique and delicious donuts I have ever tasted! Totally worth trying!
Adrian Martinez
We got some danish/donuts. More selection, and subtleties than your basic donuts. More expensive than your typical chain, but more quality. Would recommend, but parking was tricky. Id hit this place again after eating a meal at one of these restaurants near by. They had an area for kids to play, so that was unexpected and convinient.
Daritza Herrera
The best donuts I have ever had...fresh & delicious. The Vanilla cream donut was perfect. Quite a long line, but it moved pretty fast. Pricey but worth it. Customer service was good. Coffee was not the best but who cares, the donuts are bomb. A must try.
Robert Vucsko
The most expensive bakery I've found in Nashville! $30 for SIX (6).., donuts. Each was a fairly yummy sugar bomb. I've tried it, my budget will not allow me to return anytime soon. Maybe if I win the lottery...
Milee milee
OMG! Best Donuts I ever had. I wish there was Five Daughters Bakery where we live. Everyone should try these unique Donuts!
Tanya Fendler
My mom and aunt loved their donut holes, but their gluten free line needs A LOT of work. Katz is MUCH better
Shashank Kunjibettu
Finally visited the in-famous donut store ~ ‘FIVE DAUGHTERS BAKERY’ this Memorial Day weekend.. Had to wait for almost 30mins to be able to order some donuts.. Two of us shared the 100 layer Maple Glaze, 100 layer Butterscotch Blonde, Mini Blueberry Lemon & Mini Raspberry Glaze… All of them tasted excellent when tasted in small.. With the quantity of toppings and fillings inside I felt it was too sugary/ too much cream for my liking.. Preferred the bite sized Mini donut… Street parking was a challenge to find, recommend ordering online and picking it up here at the store..
BrandyLyn Patrick
Loved everything! Try the vanilla creme! Amazing! If you like sweet and salty get the Quinn! Everythingbwe had was wonderful!!!
Amber Morton
They have amazing vegan donuts! Love the chocolate vegan donut! I always bring visiters from out of town here and it's worth the 30 minute drive!
Leif McElreath
The one time I went there it was amazing of course great service, and their donuts are very very unique and always and I appreciate the staff for being patient with me!
Jenna Hokanson
Like most of these reviews say, five daughters donuts are very good, but in my opinion they are almost too much. They are pricey and sugary. Definitely not your average donut.
Ryan Davis
Great combinations of imaginative flavors. The thousand layer masterpieces are chewy, fluffy, and richly infused with amazing flavors. Sometimes it even seems like there are too meant types to choose from, but my wife and I always try to pick two a piece (and sometimes we double up a flavor why'd it seems especially good)!
Michele Bellavia
We had a great time at the stove Daughters Bakery.
Their doughnuts and other times taste so good !
Moreover, they have some tables/chairs outside that allow you to enjoy your « pastries » on a terrace.
Enjoy !
R Giles
Was recommended by several friends and the doughnuts were good but I felt like the quality/quantity didn't match the price.
Kitty
My friend has been talking about visiting this place for months. We finally stopped by and we were definitely not disappointed. There are many options for different donut flavors here and it's impossible to decide on just one. The donuts taste so fresh and soft! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful when it comes to choosing what you want to try. The location is near several other restaurants and ice cream locations, so you can get food nearby and stop by here for dessert if you are hanging out with friends or family. I would definitely recommend that everybody try this bakery.
Greg K
Easily the best donuts I've ever had. Threr is 100 layers in these badboys. I wasn't sure what to get, the staff hooked us up and pick the best ones they had. If you have a sweet tooth you need to come here. Just bring your checkbook, they aren't cheap.
Deidra Taylor
The line wrapped around the building and the full front yard should tell you all you need to know. This place is great! Layers of yumminess in each donut. Enjoy!
Lisa Crawford
Cronuts...what more do I need to say? Delicious!!! Always fresh. Friendly staff. One of the best treats in Nashville.
Jesse R
Had a 'purist' doughnut, aka the regular glazed. Flavor wise it was pretty good. It had a different texture than your regular doughnut, you can certainly believe the '100 layer' hype. However, the one I had seemed a bit old, frankly overall I was not that impressed. It also, was $5.00. Interior is cute and very instagram-able. If you're in the 12 south area, stop by for the cute factor. If you miss out, don't fret.
Daniel Read
Every other five star rating falls short of this one. From the mission to the ambiance to the DELICIOUS morsels of sugary pastry you put in your mouth, this is a place worth putting Nashville on your travel itinerary
Samantha Prince
Amazzzzzzingggggggg and so filling. We eat donuts everywhere we go and out of the last 30+ places we have been, this is my absolute favorite!
Update *7.7.21* we went late (5pm) and there were only 6 choices. Several had too much butter / sugar and were a little dry. Kind of a bummer as I've fantasized about this place since we visited last.
T “T Bone” Richards
As stated home of the 100 layer donut..went here and was not disappointed at all. Fresh and delicious.
Jennifer Contraveos
My first time - cute shop and friendly people people but mixed reviews on the donuts. The lemon icebox is delicious 10/10 would have again. The triple raspberry is really nice as well but if you’re chosing between the two, lemon is the star. Now, you know that phrase “leaves something to be desired”? Well... the apple fritter leaves everything to be desired. It’s too different from what a fritter is to really be called that. First off, the apples in the fritter still have their skin on them which makes for an unpleasant eating experience. The texture of the fritter is fluffy and dry - exactly what you’re not looking for in a fritter. Then then there is a just a small bit of cross crossed glaze on top which is nowhere near enough for what the fritter needs based on how dry, and not sweet the dough itself is. And it’s ultimately hugely lacking in flavor. :(
April Ramsey
I'm never disappointed. These doughnuts are so creatively done they are honestly understated. A small shop. Small display case. Never busy when i'm in there. But, big BIG taste. All of them are filled with something delicious and being more of a layered croughnut type they are not light in weight. Little pricey, box below was over $30. Brought to a friend's house for after dinner dessert.. she said it was best doughnut she's ever had! I agree!
NashvilleLO
Cute little donut shop. I came in with high expectations because of everyone raving about this place. I thought it was just okay. Nothing exciting about the donuts. That had options for those who are vegan or gluten, which was nice. It’s not a place I’d recommend unless they just really want to go.
Jessica Claybrook
My favorite donuts ever. Their filled donuts are better than the ones without filling. I wish they'd experiment more with flavors. They've recently cycled through a lot of the same ones, and I miss the uniqueness I'd get from their monthly menus.
James Rogers
This was by far the best donut I ever had referring to the cream filled cronut style one. My wife was very skeptical that a donut could be that good but she changed her mind after having. We ended up slitting one of the salted chocolate but wish we could have tried more- hot of really good dessert places to try in the area though- Christie cookie and Jenis ice cream etc... this was hands down our favorite- Cute location with outdoor seating and a kids play area as well.
Chelsea Smits
In Nashville from Memphis and got recommended from the nice gentlemen at the hotel we are staying at. This is by far the best pastry I have ever had! They have gluten free options as well!
Jon Stegenga
Sweet and simple little space with amazing doughnuts 🍩! Down to earth staff and friendly. Worth the visit. …
christine tanner
Yum! The 100 layer donuts are amazing, quite possibly the best donuts I've ever had! The perfect mixture of flake, like a croissant but mildly sweet with the glaze that is the perfect sweetness.. Do yourself a favor and get the Purist 100 layer donut.... So. So. good! If they still have the seasonal cinnamon and sugar get that too. Delicious!
Kayla Stuart
I HIGHLY recommend the 100 layer doughnuts. With the boston cream filling.. AMAZE-BALLS!!!! So amazingly tasty. They are very expensive doughnuts but worth it. I will make sure I bring home a bundle of these with every trip to Nashville.
Kat Navarrete
OOOOMMMMGGGG BEST DONUTS ON THE PLANET BY FAR!! We were driving through the area from Denver, Colorado to North Carolina and needless to say we were so happy we stopped! Honestly, I don’t even know how I can enjoy a regular donut ever again lol. My only complaint is that they don’t have a location in Charlotte yet!!
Angelica Marciano
This place is so cute!!!! Did not very much like the salted chocolate donut because the filling was a little overpowering but that is a personal preference, the huckleberry one was amazing. Really cool to have a unique donut like this. I felt good about the covid measures.
Ms.B
These donuts was worth every penny!!!
Regina Miller
Super tasty. Super cute. The Sea salt chocolate 100 layer was delicious and unique. The line moved quickly and we easily got parking and a place to sit outside. I really enjoyed our visit and will definitely come again.
Claire C
I love that they don't use soy and have dairy free options. It can be hard to find pre-made treats with allergies. Most flavors I've tried are good. They are pricey and lately have been selling out by 11am on weekends, which is frustrating.
Update 9/22: sadly, I find that the quality has been fluctuating and decreasing lately. It makes it tough to justify the expense when you're not sure what you're going to get.
Anna Stamper
Doughnuts was great. The 100 layer maple was the best ever. Service was fast, wish they could have taken cash but other wise great experience.
Bridget Stewart Philibin-Smith
OMG! Let me repeat that…. OMG! This place was amazing, the people were so friendly and what a cute shop and those two things are great but the donuts are amazing. The best I’ve ever had. The cinnamon sugar one I could have eaten six of them. But I did with two, not in the same day. We bought extra and they stayed good for almost 2 days. I ate one on the way to the airport to go home. I would highly recommend this place. If I ever go back to Nashville it will be the only place I go.
Gina Blanchard
Their cronuts are amazing! I got the vanilla cream, it is a savory dream. Incredible flavors. My boyfriend got the King Kong and was blown away! Worth a stop for sure!
Rachel Wilson
These doughnuts so so delicious! A highlight of our experience in Nashville! Not too sweet but soooo good!
A R
Cute little donut shop in a very walkable area. The vanilla cronut was delicious. Lovely staff.
Kerri Bourne
Obsessed with the cronuts, we went a couple times during our visit to Nashville. A must stop for those with a sweet tooth!
Keleigh Kight
Their 100 layer donuts are amazing. I will visit anytime I am in town. Plus they have fun murals.
Carrie B
Adorable location ❤ We got the Orange Dreamsicle, King Kong, Chocolate Glazed and Strawberry Iced. My personal favorite was the bacon (King Kong). It was a tad sweet, but loved every bite! The orange made me a little hesitant since I was worried it was going to taste artificial, but it was so good!
Kat Rocklin
Best donuts I've ever had! They're so buttery and the icing isn't overwhelming.
Skylar Thomas
These doughnuts are literally the best doughnuts I have ever had in my life! It melts right in your mouth! They have so many flavors to choose from! And they are all so different! 5 star for sure!
common ground
A•M•A•Z•I•N•G!!!!! Ordered 1-King Kong, 1-Mini Strawberry shortcake, and 1-Lemon Icebox. 🍩💓 …
Erik Ramirez
This place has the best doughnuts i have eaten in my life. Very Crowd and busy but it was worth the wait
love it, love it, love it...
Michael Boyle
You should go here. If they’re out of the layered donuts, you should come back.
If they have the layered donuts, you should buy them all.
They are so good.
SO GOOD.
Alvin Chen
Cashew fudge croissant donut, got a nice texture with salty and sweet at the same time, gluten free!
tiffany harris
That vanilla one is off the Hook! Glad I took the drive. They're worth every penny...well the Boston creme, uhhh...it's an acquired taste because of the dark chocolate, but the others were a hit! I'll definitely take the drive from M'boro when craving a good cronut!
Sam Nichols
Definitely a top-5 donut of my life. A must if in Nashville.
I suggest getting a "purist," which is their plain glazed 100 Layer donut. It is a great wait to compare the donut. I predict that you will conclude that this is the best donut.
If you get a chance, take a Bird scooter over and enjoy the tastiness.
Debbie Nault
Just the best donuts. VERY decadent, not like eating a reg donut.I mean come on 100 layers! Even though they do carry those and they are good too.Friendly staff too!
Amanduh Neahusan
Super tasty! Loved it.Little pricey but worth the hype glad we tried it
travelaxation
I love the five daughters bakery, it’s really really nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. The food is so delicious!!! It’s a must eat!
Bigg O
Great selection of fresh made donuts. Got a dozen and loved everyone.
Veronica Boe
Delicious flavors and fluffy texture. A must visit if you are in Nashville.
Lynn Wray Dillard (Alabama Creeks)
Five Daughter’s serves a “big hunking” square biscuit with a double decker layer of egg and cheese. It is incredibly beautiful once you get it out of the aluminum foil which tells me it wasn’t made to order. The donuts are dressed up real fancy and stuffed with plenty of creamy stuff stuff. You can blindly pick out any donut and be assured it will render your sweet tooth speechless. This is a very kids friendly place with a big play area for burning off a titanic sugar buzz.
Kimberly White
AHHHH, I cannot say enough good things about this place. These are the GREATEST doughnuts ever! What makes them so special is the layers and the surprise filling. My favorite is the vanilla cream. I live 5 hours away and would hands down travel just for a doughnut!
Paul R
Great donuts that are a must try, the layer donuts are also filled with cream just a FYI. The service was great, overall no complaints. I would recommend getting some with someone to split them. Two layer donuts and you will be full, but if you share you can get four types/flavors before you get full.
Patrick Kolts
This is definitely in my top 5. Might even make it to my top 3.... ya, yep let’s just go ahead and make it official. It’s in my top 3. So so so good. They are perfectly crispy on the outside and amazingly fluffy on the inside. They have great flavor combos as well as plenty of classics.
Ben Hastings
This place was recommended by a local and Gpogle showed tons of great reviews. I made a point to drop in on my way to the airport out of town and now I wish I had gone at least twice. INCREDIBLE!!
I'll be headed straight back when I come back to town! 🤤
Alyssa King
Ordered for delivery to our hotel. Donut was delish, taste like donut 😂 …
Husaini Syed
Amazing donuts.. small place, so plan accordingly.. parking can be tricky..
koda koala
What a cute little bakery! The donuts we're amazing and next time I'm gonna try a Paleo :) we sat outside and enjoyed a beautiful morning! I thought they'd have a better coffee game so instead I grabbed a local nitro from the fridge that was great. I will bring all my visiting friends here in the future :)
Anthony Calistro REALTOR
Amazing! Best doughnuts I’ve ever had. 100 layers of pure bliss.
Erin Kowal
These donuts were so good! I had the blueberry lemon and orange amaretti. Both were the 100 layers and so flavorful and tender.

The 100 layer donuts are amazing! This place is so cute and a great place to stop if you're a donut fan!
Heidi Braziel
Recently bought two dozen in a variety to share with the nurses at Vanderbilt Hospital while a family member was admitted to share with the nurses. Not only was the staff gracious in their help, but the nurses all raved about the donuts and my family enjoyed them too. This was definitely a bright spot to a scary time and somewhere we will always visit anytime we are in the area.
Anna Lindsey
OMG!!! One of the best donuts I have ever ate!! It will put you in a sugar coma but you simply do not care because it tastes sooooo good! It is worth every penny...Nothing compares!! Check it out...It is well worth it!!
Sketchy C
Heard a lot of hype about this place and how the 100 layer donuts were the best. They were good just not all they were cracked up to be. Definitely had better of the same style of donut for much cheaper than the $4.50 per.

GIANT HAIR IN THE DONUT!!!
I’ve always had good experiences at Five Daughters. The staff at every location are nice and the donuts are great. I actually get annoyed when someone leaves a terrible review when food is good but service is bad, but that’s not quite this situation, and there’s no other way to tell a business how they need to improve, so this one is for Ronnie in the administrative office to work on store cleanliness and his customer service skills.
Their donuts are delicious. That’s a 5 star review. Plus all employees at every store are great. Stores always look nice and always *seem* clean.
The issue is, we bought donuts at the 12 South location a few days ago. I took a bite of one and pulled out a 10-12 inch HAIR. I was on the verge of puking. It was so repulsive. It’s never happened before, and accidents can happen.
If I took a photo of the baked in hair, most people reading this review would gag.
I emailed corporate HQ telling them what happened and even included a photo of the donuts in the trash. The extremely cold response was a refund. Obviously you have to refund me for donuts we couldn't eat with a long strand of your employees hair baked in! No apology. No horror about the hair. Not even an offer for another visit. That's extremely poor customer service Ronnie.
Eric Brooks
Hands down, the 100 layer donut is one of the top 5 best donuts of all time anywhere! It’s soft, light and flaky. It feels like it’s melting in your mouth. The lines are worth it anytime. Don’t leave Nashville without visiting here and getting a few.
Jenny W.
Birthday cake cupcake is amazing! They are very nice. Great service. Dont forget to take your picture in the Donut holes in the fence outside!
Jonathan Myers
Nothing like a great place to get a donut late at night while out with your friends. The staff were very friendly and the donut was delicious! Make sure to check them out!
Erin Fayermark
The donuts are beautiful and tasty. We were underwhelmed unfortunately. Maybe because our first choice flavors were already sold out?
Damda Bear
Stopped for some treats and boy were they worth it! Can’t wait to go back.
William Mcmath
Good donuts but way too expensive and use way too many boxes and bags to carry just outside and throw away. Offer a simple wax sleeve if the donuts are going to be eaten immediately.
Lydia Huang
I'd come back to Nashville just for these donuts!
The shop is so cute and there are tons of different flavor options. We ended up choosing the king kong, smores, huckleberry, and pumpkin spice latte.
King kong -- Our favorite! The bacon was an awesome addition to the sweet donut.
Huckleberry -- Sweet and tart, perfect balance!
Smores -- This one was good, but a tad bit sweet.
Pumpkin spice latte -- So yummy, perfect for fall!
We also ordered coffee and apple cider to go with the donuts. I want to come back and try all the other flavors!
Joseph Tappenden
Believe the hype. The doughnuts here are insanely delicious. Highly recommend the vanilla bean glaze.
Thomas Kelly
Delicious doughts that are absolutely worth the price, with a nice patio area to enjoy them on after. One doughnut is pretty filling, so the price is definitely worth the value
The Surferjo Show with Chef Frankie
yummy yummy best place in town to go at any time you want to get you sweet on.............
Shawn Kobb
Great donuts that cost as much as a meal. Then again, they have the same calorie count as a meal. No indoor seating so be prepared to sit outside or get your donuts to go.
Jonathan
Names might not be exact, but I got strawberry milkshake and vanilla cream donut. They were excellent, the salty sour dough bread was a great contrast to the rich icing. It wasn't too sweet, it was good, full flavor. Definitely worth a stop, will be back
Stephen W
Don’t be ridiculous!! Why are you even reading this? I should slap you. 😂😂😂
This place is amazing. Delicious and always a treat to have. …
Emily E
Great experience. As someone who is diary free and gluten-free, finding good pastries and donuts is hard to come by. So pleased with them and can’t wait to go back!
Kayti Clayton
Best donuts I've ever had... And I usually hate donuts. The mini pumpkin spice is incredible. I wish I could find a way to take a box home with my on the plane to share with my fam. This place is cute and definitely worth a stop.
Cassidy Anastastio
BEST DONUTS I HAVE EVER HAD!
Tiffani Alley
Their doughnuts are amazing! The seating is not great and they don't seem to have air conditioning, but you won't care, because the doughnuts are so good.
Mark A.
The attempt to make donuts holistic fell short. The chocolate custard was: chocolates seem to be slightly bitter and custard was flat tasteless. The vanilla left you wondering. The lemon blueberry was okay lemon filling more tarte and blueberry cream icing tasty. The donuts reminded me of heavy cake like when spelt flour is used. Glad it's off the to do list.
Ashley Peeples
WOW these donuts were AMAZING! I suggest the maple cream!!! Can’t go wrong!
Tiffany C
These crossaint style doughnuts are to die for!!! I absolutely loved everyone that I tried. This is a must try!!
Ali D
This is the location tourist want to go to, because of the trendy murals. They have a second one in East Nashville which has a more industrial look. Both have delicious flakey donuts. MUST STOP.
Haleyanne Freedman
No joke these donuts changed my life. These are so freaking good. I have auto immune issues and have major food allergies. I've eaten 4 donuts in the last 12 hours because they're unbelievable. PLEASE start shipping. I need these in my life every day
Caitlin Cummings Bissen
The purist 100 layer donuts are the legitimate best thing you’ll ever eat.
Melanie M
I came here specifically for the gluten free donuts, and was disappointed. They were nothing to write home about and each of the different flavors all seemed to taste about the same - bland with a touch of salt or chocolate, and not a hint of sweetness to taste. I was very excited to have a gf donut as I medically cannot digest gluten. Not worth $4 each. Next time I will go without a donut all together. The other donuts were incredible (or so I’m told by those who I bought them for). The huckleberry, vanilla, and cinnamon were hits. We were just visiting and when we return to Tennessee, we will find a different bakery to try.
Ron Sp
You need to try these amazing 100 layer doughnuts. Light, flakey with delicious topping. Unlike any other you've ever had.
Kait S
Oh my God, these were by far the most delicious doughnuts I've ever had. Not too sweet and oh so flakey.
Jackie Becker
Delicious donuts! We loved the Double Raspberry donut- so, so good. Plus the little mural outside is precious! A win win.
Kunal Kaushik
High quality doughnuts! Easily the best in town. Surely try "chocolate sea salt" and "vanilla cream." They're addictive!
Madison Roberson
They have gluten free doughnuts!!! Although I don't recommend the blueberry... but another Nashville must!!!
Craig Stoltzfus
The blueberry lemon 100 layer donut is incredible. Going back tomorrow for more.
Edit: Stopped in again and picked up a few for the flight home. Triple raspberry was the favorite
johnathan yater
Best donuts anywhere. I’d say I’ve had my fair share. Tend to check out different donuts shops when traveling on vacation and this ranks among as one my two favorites. I’ve never had a bad donut here. I’ve never been disappointed. They consistent at each location as well. Worth the price for the size and quality.
Beth Lebeau
Best Raspberry doughnut I've ever had. Made with fresh Raspberries. Definitely a hidden jewel in Nashville. ❤🥰 …
Pat Patruno
Wow. Did I say wow? Super tasty and delicious donuts. Never have I had such a light, airy and delicious pastry. My experience with donuts is that they can be greasy, heavy and leave you feeling bloated. These are light as clouds and pack a delicious punch. 100 layer is the way to go. I love the purist, but all flavors are awesome
Benno Rawlinson
Probably the best donut (100 layer) I have had in the US. The location, staff and vibe of the place is equally fantastic. Should have taken a picture of the donut but it didn’t last long enough.
Joe C.
This place is legit. You probably don't need me to tell you (please see the other reviews) but the donuts at this place are out of this world. The coffee's pretty good too. And they have savory biscuits too? With like sausage and egg and cheese? That are pretty rad themselves? With a beautiful outdoor seating section for all your eating needs? You gotta check it out.
Sarah Fortner
Unique (read: hipster), but so delicious! It's a gormet doughnut shop, so expect to pay more. But it's tasty and I can't wait to go again!
Sherrie Witmer
All I can say is WOW! I've never had these donuts before. Our family thought they were absolutely amazing!!!
Jennifer Schmuhl
Amazing! We saw Five Daughters Bakery on Diners Drive in & dives. We are from Illinois & in Nashville for over the weekend & had to check it out! So worth the wait because the line was long but goes fast! The doughnuts all though pricey were delicious 😋 …
Rachel K
I liked the cinnamon sugar yeast donut, but I did not like the vanilla cronut style donut. To each their own, but I don’t think I’ll be back if I want a donut.
Tyler Wilson
My wife is vegan and they had a lot of options. Must go for vegans!
I am not vegan and they had a variety of different donuts you won't find at a traditional bakery. I went with the King Kong and I was not disappointed. It was delicious and different.
Samuel Sims
They’re 100 layer donut is undoubtedly delicious, but after coming to this location to try a regular yeast donut I was disappointed. The raised donuts lacked good crumb and flavor. It was more just fried bread rather than an airy flavorful sweet. The staff was great here though! And the size of the donut was great for the price.
Rachel Alfaro
Yummmm! Stopped by for some treats with my family while visiting Nashville. I’d definitely recommend to anyone with a sweet tooth!
Jeremy Macey
Admittedly, I am more of a cake donut guy than a Cronut guy. My wife is the opposite. She left the bakery raving about how delicious it was. I liked it, but it wasn't a love it for me personally. Of the flavors we tried, I felt the Cherry Pie and Pink Lemonade were the most delicious.
John McMullen
Only the best donut place that has graced this Earth. That's it.
This particular location has great street parking and a play area for the kids!
Austin Canfield
Cute donut shop in trendy South Nashville. Many options to choose from and unique pastry creations I've only ever seen here!
Stacey Stiles
I would call to make sure they have what you want before you go, especially in the afternoon. Went to get vegan donuts for my little brother's birthday, they were out of vegan. Almost left with nothing and then figured since I was already there I would still get paleo donuts for my friend and I. They were out of the flavor I wanted, so I ended up getting the biggest donuts they had. Also, the shared parking lot is pretty torn up.
Manuel Matos
The King Kong and Cream Donuts are a must. Friendly staff! Make sure to be prepared for a line but the wait is worth it.
Katherine Burma
Stopped here on a whim during our last trip to Nashville and I’m so glad we did! The doughnuts are so so good and they had so many different flavors! Super cute place with a good amount of seating outside to enjoy your doughnuts if the weather is nice!
Matt Neal
Wonderful little place, they make the best doughnuts and pastries I have had the pleasure of trying.
Alexander Frank
Doughnuts were delicious. Worth going to.
Risa K
They look doughnuts, but actually they are like croissants. Delicious!
Noah Krupa
Legit best donut place in the world! Great service and awesome options. Definitely would recommend.
Olivia Giersch
You NEED to try these donuts! They are fantastic, come in a variety of flavors and are FRESH!
Lewis Review This:
Definitely a different style of donut! It is worth a try!
J May
If there is a line, hold out- it’s worth it!
I cannot say enough amazing things about every Nashville Five Daughters location. We have never had poor customer service and never had a bad donut! We also love that there are vegan options for our egg allergy little one. The Purist and Maple are our faves.
Catelyn Reilly
Amazing donuts! We tried the maple, chocolate sea salt, brownie, and salted caramel apple donuts.
Meline Rosales
Too sweet. Too too sweet. Cute place good service fun flavor ideas but no.
Michael Munoz
I usually don't review places but these are awesome. Just go get one and eat it.
Ellen Cawood
You haven’t truly had something delicious until you’ve tried one of these. The chocolate glazed it THE BEST.
Angel L.
Every time there's a cronut shop, I make sure to stop by and try it so I've had a lot of cronuts before but this was just not for me. There was an oily/stale taste to the dough. The laminated dough sheets were thicker than what I've had before. To me, it just didn't have the finesse to it as other bakeries throughout the US.
Chocolate Sea Salt (4/5)
King Kong (⅕): disgustingly SWEET
Vanilla Cream (⅕): no vanilla bean, just tasted like cream
Liv Mantenieks
The takeout window was fast and friendly. My blueberry basil donut was one of the best Ive ever had but my friends' raspberry one was almost inedibly sweet. Definitely recommend though- I hear only good things.
Kameron Moebes
Plenty of options from yeast, cake and gluten free. Very rich flavor! And a great photo opt!
Natalie Sharp
Absolutely delicious!
Mike Metcalf
Great little mom and pop donut shop. Love the "100 layers" donuts. A little heavy but an awesome taste. Definitely a treat!
Sal Zabbatino
Sunday morning line was a bit long but it moved quickly. The staff was great and excited to share with you explanations of some of their more unique selections. If you are looking for a gluten free option it’s there!
Would definitely come back next time we visit Nashville.
CoCo
Always fresh and always great!! Best donuts around!
Dre Funk
The donuts here are amazing! Great selection too. I will say, maybe skip the coffee but you aren't really going here for coffee :) can't wait to visit again!
e t
$5 donut!? Yes. They're worth it. The maple donut and sea salt chocolate donut are delectable. The croissant dough packs layers of buttery flavor into the donuts. The glazes inside and on top of the donut add smooth richness. And the whole pastry will fill you more than a standard donut; they are dense with flavor. Add that the 12 South location has a nice outdoor seating area with donut art, and it makes the experience great for families. So, yes, they're pricey donuts. But if you turn it into a small outing to enjoy the picnic tables and to savor the donut, then it's a good experience.
Robert Tooker
Hard to find good Gluten free donuts. The GF donuts here are very good. Not overly sweet with a great texture.
Rob Cardeiro
Their 100-layer donuts are spectacular! I had the King Kong (bacon and vanilla cream) a bit sweet for me. It was totally decadent. Get it if you have a sweet tooth. Also got 2 Paleo donuts for others. The report on those were MEH. Stick with the 100-layer if you can 😁 …
Emily Ferguson
Five Daughters has THE BEST donuts I have ever tasted. I'm from Portland, Oregon where there are quite a few bakeries, but I have never tasted anything this delicious. The 100 layer donuts were phenomenal and SO flaky and fresh-tasting. I tried the Pursuit and the Maple Glaze, both were fantastic! Such a cute little shop both on the outside and inside. I am back home now and already miss this place.
Nathan Snyder
Friendly folks and GREAT donuts (have vegan options)
Connor
I am a big sweets person and was very excited to try these donuts, but they let me down a bit. The vanilla cream donut was far too buttery and sweet - it had too much cream both inside the donut and on top. It tasted like I was just eating cream. Same goes for the maple. The chocolate churro and chocolate sea salt were much better as they weren’t loaded with cream. Still, not sure the $4.50 price per donut is worth it.
Savannah Miller
Donuts are delicious. A little on the expensive side and doesn't have much to offer coffee wise.
Jonathan Espiritu
Great donuts. Open until they run out!
Kyle Shemesh
Some of the best Donuts you'll ever have!
Trevor Hawkins
This place is great! Check it out and bask in donut glory 🤰🏼 …
Joe Duncan
I m a nashville native. How refreshing to find a delicious bakery. Oh, the maple donuts, yum.
elizabeth wyers
Haven't been in the place but a rep brought us some donuts from here and they were so good that I remembered the name off of the box so I'd know where to get them again! These are by far the best donuts I've ever had. Simply amazing and airy and light and all of the flavors go so well together. Thank you for these amazing creations! 💕
Lisa Colbert
This is a super cute donut shop located downtown Tennessee! The donut selection is out of this world and they also offer cookies, you can purchase gluten free donuts and cookies, which is a plus. The staff were patient (huge selection to choose from) and extremely nice! This is our new must stop place for when we visit again.
K Consigs
Tried the donut with blueberry filling and it was delicious. Cute little place with outdoor seating.
Marc Weber
Friendly staff and nice place. The four of the croissants donuts I had were very good, unfortunately too sweet for me. The dough is already so incredible you don’t need to add much sugar ! I also had a crush for one donut : the chocolate sprinkles yeast donut ! OMG the chocolate frosting was so tasty ! I loved it. Keep going guys !
Tiffany Le
Their donuts here are amazing! They have so many layers and a cream inside. The vanilla was my favorite by far. I think about this place often and hope to come back soon, because as of now I have not found anything else that can compare to their donuts yet! A bit pricey, but well worth it!
Taylor May
Pretty freaking good! I'm just glad I don't have to drive by Five Daughters Doughnuts going to work or I would be HUGE.
Winnie Ng
yummy. but I suggest online order in advance to avoid sold out
Peter Michailidis
Unfortunately they were out of the donuts I was looking to get but even my second choices were incredible. I'm a bit of a donut connoisseur as I've travelled across the country trying various hidden gems in each city. These were definitely too notch with lots of flavour without being excessively sweet. Super excited to go back.
Tonya Tanner
First time there. Donuts where amazing.
H Warner
The best doughnut ! It is fluffy, light with a subtle gooey taste. Their purist is my favorite. I wish they don't stuff the cream in the cream doughnut. Just the cream on top is good enough and having the double cream inside the doughnut make it too much h and greasy. Worth a visit !
Jonathan Sotero
Donuts are fresh and taste was great
Chris Flanigan
Delicious donuts. Delicious everything, really. If you've never been here, make this a priority on your trip to Nashville.
Tyler Johnson
We bought four different donuts and they were all excellent. Perfect texture and plenty of layers. You can tell lots of work goes into the recipes and the bake.
Trudy Crawford
They have Paleo doughnuts, gluten and dairy free and they are amazing!! I had the salted chocolate chip. I can't wait to go back and try the other 3 flavors.
Kyle McMurray
To use the word "amazing" is cliche, but if you want the best Donuts you can and will ever find, here they are.
Brittany Sprague
The atmosphere is fantastic with a kid area and very cool vibes. Lots of fun flavors. But unfortunately, only okay donuts. I had the gluten free donut and my husband had a Boston creme. My children both chose two flavors and both only took a couple bites and asked to be done. Again, very cute space and totally Instagram worthy.
Gayle Brooks
I can’t say enough about this place! My daughter’s and I stopped in the 12 South location to see what all the talk was about these layered donuts. It was a Saturday afternoon and it was busy! However, the line moved quickly. I couldn’t decide what one to try because they all looked so delicious, so I bought four of them! Vanilla cream, salted caramel chocolate, birthday cake, and original glazed (not sure what their name for the last one is). The vanilla cream and the salted chocolate were creamy and filled with layers of cream also. They. Were. To. Die. For! The other two weren’t filled but they were equally as delicious. No, I didn’t eat them all in one sitting! Haha! They kept nicely over two days. The donuts are big, and have a croissant-like texture, but they definitely are donuts. They are also pricey at about $4+ per donut, but WORTH IT! Split one with someone, which is what I did. So very delicious. I wish there were one of these in Michigan!
Alexis Martinez
Best donuts I’ve ever tried! If I lived in Nashville I’d have these every morning. Line is long but moves very quickly. Getting some donuts for the ride back home before we leave. ☺️
Blueberry Lavender is my favorite!!
Lydia Kennedy
Best doughnuts I've ever tasted!!! My 7 year old enjoyed them as well. They are not overly sweet and amazingly flaky like a croissant.
Definitely a must visit and purchase. The prices are reasonable as well.
Rae Anne Leimbach
Always amazing! Worth the trip! Friendly service, fantastic treats!
Leslie Chin
The 100 Layer Donuts are beyond epic. Just have one. Life changing.
Belinda Olsen
Super cute! Great service and I love their seasonal flavors!
Danielle Avery
This is a really cute little bakery and the donuts really are great! We got there early because I had heard they run out, but it was a peaceful breakfast! Two of us shared 3 donuts but we couldn’t finish the last “life is chocolate” donut, it was really rich! Yum!
Sergio Delgado
The staff is great. Donuts are pricey but totally worth the price. 100 layers of pure sweetness. One of the best bakeries in nashville.
Tara Sekora
Great place to find yummy gluten free treats! I tried two different flavored donuts and cookies (all were delicious). They also have a cute outdoors area you can eat at.
Alexa Snodgrass
Don’t skip this adorable place! The layered donuts are divine. High quality & so delicious. Limited coffee options. Super cute area with some other places to visit as well.
Ronnie Bunshaft
Best donut I've ever had. Called the King Kong!
Leslie B. Gubitz
Donuts were amazing but I actually liked the less sugary one that was more closely related to a croissant. The staff was very pleasant the shop is super cute and I love the place to take a photo.
Tina Hare
Try the Paleo/ GF. Having Celiac, this is my favorite option!!
Lilly Murphy
Great food and service! This is a Nashville must do!
Cricket Son007
Salted chocolate was super yummy. The huckleberry one was ok.
Paul Meyer
The best, most amazing donuts I've ever had!! Highly recommend if your in the area. Fresh and no added chemicals.
Cassidy Peiffer
Donuts were amazing!! Very cute and nice place.
Christen Phillips
Delicious and beautiful. Hr sweets lived up to my expectations and then some. Quick note. I got here at 9:55 on a Sunday and there was already a short line. By the time I left at 10:15 with my treats, the line was already out the door and well down the block a ways. Those few minutes made a big difference in the waiting!
Carla Burandt
Cannot express how good the doughnuts are here. Making this a Saturday morning tradition!
David Chialastri
The staff here was so nice and helpful! I was not sure what I wanted, but the girl behind the counter was patient with me and helped me settle on the King Kong. It was the right choice. These '100 layer donuts' are something special, and you need to try one (or two). I'm glad I got one for dessert later, because just one left me craving more. Try one of the seasonal flavors!
Jim Worthington
Always make the trip to 12th South when in Nashville for the best donuts in the Country.
Deanna O'Neal
Yum. Yum. Yum. Great, friendly service. Atmosphere is fun and kid friendly. Highly recommended for an indulgent experience.
Jodi Hannis
Delicious donuts, very quaint little shop! 😋 …
JACKI J
Vegan, Gluten Free donuts and the famous cronuts!! They also had cookies and a "Quinn"
jen s
Really cute place, delicious donuts, & friendly staff! Definitely worth the stop for us when passing thru Nashville 🍩 …
Yu Quan Cao
Cute store front with outdoor seating. Bathrooms available. 100 layer donuts. It was good.
Fame S
The purist was good, but King Kong was way too sweet. Would recommend getting the smaller size because the donut is quite big.
D D
Okay, these aren’t really donuts. They are flaky, buttery croissants baked in the shape of a donut. Then, they are filled with a bit of buttercream throughout the ring before topping. Really, an amazing upgrade to a donut and a much more balanced flavor between salty and sweet. Plus, the TEXTURE. So crispy yet melt in your mouth! Don’t shy away from the maple, their number one flavor. It will not taste like a pancake! It’s more of a slightly maple glaze adding a savory element that can’t be beat. It’s a tough choice but it just edges out their second seller of the vanilla cream. Better try both while you are there. You won’t regret it. Great new taste treat!
Reggie Upchurch
These are,by far, the best doughnuts I've ever eaten. I strongly recommend this place . Super friendly and helpful staff who all seemed knowledgeable about their products. Can't wait to return.
Nico la
We stopped by later in the afternoon, so we didn't have a whole lot to choose from. I would definitely recommend going in the morning if you want more of a selection. I really enjoyed the pastry I got, it was spool fricken good. Worth every bite and every penny. The staff is wonderful and very friendly. I would definitely go again if I am ever back in Nashville.
Matthew Ellstrom
Great place for donuts of all kind. Have croissant donuts (100 layer), paleo, gluten free, and classic yeast. Really enjoyed the vanilla cream and the dark chocolate with sprinkles.
Jessica Haywald
Not my style of doughnuts, very heavy (not a bad thing!) They use high quality ingredients, it's very clean, friendly staff. Everything we tried was made with dark chocolate and I am a milk chocolate girl. It was very good, just not our style! Definitely try it out!
Kristi DeVries
This place is just good for your soul. So sad that I don't live in Nashville so I can try their rotating flavors!
whispy Games
Tasty , they only have cronuts not doughnuts. They have some adverse flavors but they taste good. My favorite is cherry cheesecake. They are really flakey and soft. Nice and well decorated building . Cool neon sign (inside).a little expensive $4 per cronut.
Swati Singh
Amazing tasting donuts. Cute environment. Lost a star because the gluten free options my friend ordered were not good at all. But if you don’t have a gluten sensitivity the donuts were some of the best I’ve ever had.
Mike
Yes these donuts are a bit pricey but they are a novelty and well worth it. Tried 4 different donuts amongst 3 people and they were all amazing. Will definitely go back each time in Nashville.
Sarah
After hearing people rave about this place, I decided to try out one of their vegan options. When ordering the pumpkin donut, I thought that the donut itself would be flavored pumpkin. The donut is actually pain and topped with spiced frosting and pumpkin seeds. Perhaps their other donuts are nicer, but this was my experience.
The staff was absolutely lovely, all in all not a bad place. I still wish my donut was worth it though.
EMILY Alexander
Totally worth it, but you'll probably only be able to eat one, okay maybe too :-)
The Applicious Teacher
Best 100 layer doughnuts. We love their vegan options too.
Arianne Senires-Nunez
This donut shop had a huge selection of donuts to fit anyone's dietary restrictions. They had gluten free, vegan, and paleo donuts which all tasted great! The flavor combos we're unique and interesting (lavender peach) and their donuts were super fluffy and light. Their croissant donuts were the best I've ever had! (They even had filling!) I'm really picky with donuts and I like them to be very light and not too rich or heavy so these were right up my alley! Definitely coming back when I drive down to Nashville again.
Rebekah Dale
Cute shop, friendly staff, but the donuts were a little too rich for my taste. The flavors were good, but the filling plus icing was a bit much on some of them. At almost $5 a donut, it's on the more expensive end.
Jordan
This infamous bakery is home to the croissant/donut combo creation known as the '100 Layer Donut'. Each baked good is made with all organic and locally sourced ingredients. Both paleo and vegan friendly options are also available. Whether you're in the mood for a simple traditional glazed, a more creative treat, or a seasonal favorite Five Daughters Bakery is sure to have a delicious baked good for you!
Pictured:
- Cookies & Cream Donut
- Pumpkin Spice Donut (Seasonal)
- Vanilla Cream Donut
Pros:
- Friendly options for most all dietary restrictions
- Baked fresh daily
- Absolutely delicious
Cons:
- Limited parking
- Pricey if you're looking for a simple Donut experience(but these aren't simple donuts)
Allison Reilly
OMG - these donuts were absolutely amazing. Perfectly created, perfectly sweet. My only regret is that we had lunch before we went. After eating the decadent donut, I thought I might die. They didn't have cream for the coffee the day we were there... but the donuts are something special.
Heather Jones
Incredible donuts here. Lots of special flavors like lemon poppy seed and vanilla cream. Many have a lot of frosting or icing so be prepared for something sweet. They also have a restroom here and outdoor seating. Provided wet wipes for your hands before / after donuts.
Mikayla Gardner
Unique donut style, flaky dough. Enjoyed the extra filling with the triple raspberry and vanilla cream. Vanilla cream reminded me of a creme puff.
Sue Ray
I love their Donuts but few times when I went, they were sold out and only had a sign at the door say that but not their website which I usually check for hours before I go. I drive 30 minutes with my 4 year old to get there so its very frustrating when they are sold out but not mentioned on their website.
Anna Otis
This place is to die for. Love that it is a family owned business. Highly recommend the vanilla cream filled donut. Can’t go wrong here!
Andrew Conley
Their donuts are actually made from croissant dough.... and they are delicious.
Katie Mims
I’m not a donut eater. My husband absolutely loved the donut I got him. I enjoyed the savory croissant.
Josh Shields
Their vegan donut selection is great, rotating each month along with their 100 layer donuts. The black coffee is a solid brew. Friendly staff.
Meredith Jordan
Such a cute bakery! Best gluten free donuts I have had. Fast checkout and great service!
Horacio Sierra
Off-the-wall delectably doughy and blissfully buttery croissant-doughnut hybrids along as well as traditional doughnuts with fresh icings.
Dominique Barnes
Absolutely hands down the best doughnuts!
Robin Wickert
These were very good!! One of the highlights on my brief trip to Nashville. We took a bunch home with us and the 100 layer donuts were yummy after being reheated for 5 seconds. I'm kinda glad I don't live close by I'd probably gain a couple of pounds!
Lyndsey Ritz
These donuts are not to be missed! Great selection of flavours and types of donuts - including paleo and vegan offerings. The texture of both the vegan and regular varieties is light and flakey. The maple was a touch sweet but the berry glazed vegan donut was divine. Flavours rotate seasonally.
Whitney Greenway
The staff is always friendly. The donuts are very unique and creative. If you are looking for an overly sweet sugary donut this is not your place. If you are looking for a sugary bacon topped flaky croissant type pastry this is the place. Donuts are unique, but not traditional. These are not really donuts, but shaped like them.
julie glover
The best doughnut that I've ever tasted.
Travis Christians
Delicious doughnuts, they also have breakfast sandwiches that are served on the best homemade biscuits.

Five Daughters Bakery is amazing!!! We were greeted by the friendly staff when we visited the shop at approximately 2 pm on a Wednesday and they still had a great selection. I highly recommend the Vanilla Cream as it's much more than just a plain donut with vanilla icing. It, along with my personal favorite- Snowball, are super rich and decadent. You can definitely see and taste the work that goes into these perfect pastries! I will most definitely be back and suggest everyone to at least stop by and see the store if you're in the area.

The cronuts here are definitely amazing. I bought some on my way back home from Nashville and when I got home and ate them I wished I had brought more back home. There were so many different flavors and fillings. This is a must try if your visiting Nashville and love donuts!

I have visited all 3 local locations. Fantastic food at each, different atmosphere at each. One suggestion, if you want the King Kong (and who doesn't) get there early. They run out quick. Now if it were me and I ran out of them early and often, I'd make more on those days but I don't own donut shops...lol....Don't pass up the opportunity to try this place. Every flavor I have tried (when they run out of the Kong) has been amazing.

What a delicious option! I was so glad they had mini options of the 100 layer donuts. So crisp yet soft with delicious flavors!

This place is awesome! I love the unique take on donuts. My favorite is the purist but I personally dont think you could go wrong with any of their offerings. Make sure you stop here while in Nashville!

The 100 layer "cronut" is moist, chewy and soft. Delicious. However, like most donut shops, the fillings, toppings, dips and glazes are overly sweet which takes away from the the amazing flavor of the donut. I orderd the "purist" with hope of it being the least sweet, it wasn't. I wish they offered a plain with no glaze, or used whipped cream or mascarpone cheese as the base for their filled donuts and cut down on the sugar content. (My husband had the chocolate sea salt and the filling was too sweet.) Don't get me wrong, if you like sweet and donuts, this place is incredible. The chocolate chip cookies are huge and moist. Coffee is good but they do not offer any specialty drinks. Total cost for two coffees, two cronuts and cookie: $19.

If you are into gourmet donuts and organic drinks, this is the place for you. They are a little expensive, but very yummy and donut size is big. They don't have much seating room, so plan on taking your breakfast to go. Also, they only had coconut milk, or something odd, for the coffee. So that was disappointing and not very good. I would say it's a one time experience.

Wonderfully delicious different approach to donuts. Based on a croissant-like approach instead of cake dough, then topped with cinnamon or icing ranging from chocolate to fruit, the donuts are tasty and flaky. Just plain scrumptious. Highly recommended.

Best donut I've ever had! I can't remember the name of what I got, but I believe it was a vanilla cream donut. Also, I loved the fun little atmosphere. If I lived closer, I would definitely visit more often.

Cute place, the layered donuts are just donut shaped filo which I'm not mad about. I got a layered donut and a boston cream, but the boston cream was very bad. It was heavy and doughy (possibly under cooked). The chocolate was thin and bitter, the cream was textured in an unpleasant way and not very tasty... one of our friends bought one too and we both ended up throwing them away. Not good!

This place is outstanding! The 100 layer donuts are unreal! Anyone who has not tried this place is missing out! We tried the maple glaze and the purist and both were SO good. They serve honest raostera coffee, which is really good, but the morning we went, it didnt taste very fresh. Luckily, there are great coffee shops nearby.

Loved everything I ate! I tried 7 or so different types of donuts and each one was different and amazing! You can really taste the difference in their croissant type donuts (which i now prefer).

Visited Nashville on our family vacation and Five Daughters was suggested by many online blogs and our Airbnb. They have ruined any other donut for me as theirs are out of this world delicious and amazing.

Donuts are always delicious, and the service is quick. This is a big tourist spot, so be expecting for people to ask you to take pictures, or be taking pictures near your table. The addition of the playground for children it was a great idea, so the adults can chat and eat their donuts while they keep an eye on the little ones. Watch out for the wasps in the summertime, the sugar and the garbage cans make them come straight to the patio!

Amazing!

This has become a must need to go to stop for my boyfriend and I when we are in Nashvile. We are making it our tradition. So many fun flavors! We always get some to bring home as well to share with our loved ones.

Very yummy donuts! We enjoyed those and the cute location. There is a small patio to sit in the sun and enjoy. Not sure if it was the timing or the location, but there were a LOT of college aged students. Not an issue, but unfortunately many of them were too busy to be polite.

Cool little place. They make great donuts. Worth stopping in. Neat old building.

The layered donuts/Cronuts are amazing!

Donut infused with a salty chocolate was unique and very good. The young lady at the register was very kind and helpful. The time was 11:00. Limited items displayed in case. Out of most vegan items. Server behind case corrected my pronunciation of “vegan” and appeared bothered to be bothered. Gave him another chance...by then, he was more interested in the younger ladies behind me. His lack of enthusiasm for working there was the difference between a 4 & 5 rating. Good product, though.

Wonderful donut shop. Best part is the children’s lawn and playground area- fenced in, safe, and fun. They have the corn hole game upon request.
The donuts are made fresh from scratch every day.

Excellent donuts!! I had a vanilla cream but I devoured it before I could take a pic LOL!
