Stumbled upon this place when I was exploring the neighborhood. Everything looks delicious. I got an assortment of cookies (9.95) as well as the banana split cupcake, about 5 bucks. I was a little disappointed because although it had a good flavor, it was dry. I read other reviews about this issue, as well as the response from the owners. Seems like there is no resolve about this. The creme topping that was used had a great texture and was delicious however. The cookie assortment was delicious. The texture and how it melts in your mouth will bring me back. I will try the cupcakes again, but go when the store first opens to see if there is a difference.

I have shipped many boxes of Sciortino’s cookies to my family, including to my son in the Navy when he was deployed. They always arrived perfect. My Christmas cookies this year, however, were either stolen or smashed by UPS. Maria helped me twice, carefully packing them up to bring smiles to the faces of my son and his family who are far away. Sciortino cookies are the only cookies that they ask for on holidays. Thank you so much, Maria!

Cute Italian bakery with everything your heart needs. From breads to rolls to deli items, this place has it. Went in looking for Lobster rolls (pics below) and left with a little extra. The employees are friendly and welcoming. The prices are reasonable and of course the baked goods do not disappoint!

Customer service was courteous and kind. I ordered ahead which I love to do so pickup is easy and you get exactly what you are looking for. Expensive, but nice for a treat a few times a year. Desserts were very good. We purchased chocolate tutus, coconut cookies dipped in chocolate, eclairs, cannoli, and sfogliatelle. Dee-lish!

On a very busy day before Christmas Eve the store was packed. It appeared that the entire Sciortino family from the youngest to oldest was working behind the counter. Service was quick and efficient. They didn't carry the brioche buns advertised on the website, however I will shop again for my bakery needs.

I wanted Italian cookies, so I went during the holiday rush. They were super busy, but the lady got me a cannoli from the back. Not the friendliest service, but I would be matter of fact if I had been working in that rush too. The cookies though... To die for. Get the amaretti! I'll be back.

This place is a gem for Milwaukee. Had a Valentine coffee and some bakery and it was delicious. I bought some Italian rolls and they are the best. They have a nice selection of sugary treats and also deli meat. The employees were very friendly too. Definitely recommend it.

A true gem. They have the best white bread in the city and much cheaper than supermarket bakeries. But the real star here are the desserts. From dozens (literally) of types of cookies to the *amazing* pastries (I hate seafood but love their "lobster tail"), anyone with a sweet tooth will leave here happy. The staff has always been very helpful and are quick too. My #1 recommendation is to go here on a full stomach, otherwise you'll buy out the place.

Be careful of being sold stale pastries. I bought two Neapolitans, one fresh and glossy, the other dull with dried out pasterythat was like chewing paper. Just watch what is given you. They need a day-old sale rack!

For years Maria and her family have made the best bakery. For as long as I can remember, I have used the breads for stuffing. Right now I have a large bowl of cut up breads/rolls for use this Thanksgiving. We are doing carryout because of the virus. Each person will have a large portion of stuffing made from these amazing breads. The cookies and cannoli are also here. If you cannot make it to the bakery itself. Gloriouso and Sendiks on the east side of Milwaukee.

I went in here to buy a bunch of bakery and deli and the woman helping every two minutes asked me can I help you. I felt rushed! Just let me look for awhile! I also went here one time about a half hour before closing time and wanted to purchase some deli meat and cheese. I was told that it was closed. Why was the deli closed when the rest of the store was open? Your losing business because of this!

What else can one say but YUM!?!? An extensive selection of fresh bread, rolls, cookies and other tasty treats. The staff is helpful. I'd not attempt to shop during a busy period because the store is small. Wonderful things come in small packages, though!

Couldn't appreciate this place more. Great for a quick stop in the morning before work to grab coffee and apricot sticks. They're much more cash-friendly, if you're using a credit card, expect to be a few minutes at the register. An Eastside Milwaukee must!!!! Occasionally, on a Sunday morning, I will drive 40 miles one way to purchase rolls and hot ham. Fresh rolls are heavenly!! When I come to Sciortino’s bakery and am greeted by the Vella’s (first generation Sicily Americans) I feel like I am back in Palermo buying wonderful Italian bread and pastries. The cookies and Biscotti are true Italian products made in Milwaukee. The cannoli is made fresh, as they should be and as they are in Sicily. My diet goes to heck every time I walk into this authentic Italian bakery.

The cookies are amazing. I love filling a box with an assortment. If you like amaretti cookies, theirs are to die for. Last year, they also added chocolate dipped ones. Recently, they added pistachio biscotti. While not twice baked to crispness ( the meaning of biscotti), they were quite good. They have a very diverse collection of Italian morsels. My mouth waters, just thinking about them. I've heard that their bread is also quite good. However, when it comes to Italian cookies, I'm unfamiliar with any better in this city.
