This last time I worked with Mandy at the original location on 16th and she is the Bomb! If you've never gone your missing OUT! They are almost 💯 years old and the BEST!

Good little grab & go bakery(no seating). It was a very tasty, crispy Danish! They only have a 6 space parking lot, so you might have to park on the street. I'll definitely check out the sandwiches next time I'm in the area. Trueley worth a second visit!

This was my second time there. Amazing bakery and the staff were very kind. Kept up with the flux of orders and answered my question. Also, bread is delicious! Try the cinnamon bread. You won't be disappointed! Also, pictured is my favorite thing to buy there. It's a loaf of cinnamon bread. Enjoy it with a touch of butter toasted or untoasted.. Or use it in a bread pudding recipe! Either way, delicious!

Walked in hungry from the hospital across the street. I am generally not a big donut fan and asked to just pick me their favorite one. WOW. Before leaving the hospital for the morning, I went back in and bought a dozen mixed donuts and a dozen cookie to bring back to work. They were all gone in minutes. The service was friendly and efficient and the baked goods were out of this world. I will be returning frequently to start trying the deli as well.

My family has been coming to this location since I can remember, literally. Their prices to quality ratio is unbelievable. You can walk out of there with some of the best ham and rolls for like $10 and feed yourself for a couple days. Good neighborhood deli that I hope my grandkids learn to love one day.

What they make is good, but not always what they say it is. Last I bought french bread that was just baguette shaped Vienna loaf. I also bought a lemon Napoleon that was texturally lacking and MUCH too sweet.

I've been going to this location for about 6 years and counting. Every single time I go in, the staff is so kind and patient with customers. Those of us who know what we want and wait behind those that don't and also those of us who get to the counter and suddenly want everything. The ham is perfect. Sliced thin and on their kaiser rolls is a dream. Donuts - great variety. Something for everyone. Paczki is really good. Order ahead if possible to ensure you're able to get exactly what you want. The Bread - I've had their beer bread, egg bread, white bread, Vienna bread, and the little garlic crouton things...all amazing. Cakes - I've picked up cakes here in the past for birthdays at work and they are perfectly delightful and available in a pinch the day of. We loved the Vanilla Cake with color sprinkles in the front case. Which I noticed they usually have available from what I can tell. I honestly think there is nothing they could have that I wouldn't like.

The 16th Street one is iffy. Customer service is poor and if you arrive after 11:00, all the good donuts are gone. The Greendale store is wonderful. The staff is helpful and they always seem to have enough of everything, regardless of the time of day.

Not only is the bakery Goods the most fantastic in the city. They make a awesome fruit cake that no one else in the city I can find compares to, their almond cookies are the greatest according to my wife for the last two years of not been able to make them that she has for over 30 years. If you've never been to national bakery you missing out on some fabulous baked goods. They bake fresh daily. The service is great. I've never had anything there that wasn't worth the extra calories. They also have a variety of lunch meats, rolls etc. You should try it at least once.

Happy Fat Tuesday!! The Paczkis are phenomenal and I loved the whole event of going during the opening hours, enjoying the live music on site, and continuing a Polish tradition! All of the other baked goods looked incredible and I'm going to come back to try the cherry turnovers. This bakery has got it figured out.

Bomber deli sandwiches are great tasting and fresh however the slow service often makes me wish I had gone somewhere else. I go on my lunch breaks and it can take anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes to get through the line and get my food. If the service was faster I would definitely eat there more often.

We miss your shop seems no one here k now how to make a good hard roll or bread (both white and rye), I also miss our family favorite like the hot ham, ham salad. As good as a bakery can be. The bakery is great They sell Badger Ham and give you hard rolls to go with it. Can't make a better ham sandwich anywhere. I would drive many miles out of my way to go to this bakery and have.

It may be small on the outside but it is full of delicious things. The critter cookies feature cute buttercream animals and the deli has a great selection. They even do those barbie doll cakes. The prices are very reasonable.

This is the only place I go for my cakes. Their prices are way lower than the quality you get for them. The best, moistest cakes I've ever had, and they never fail to have a cake ready for me by the next day when I've forgotten to place my order sooner. Talked to Mandy on the phone, and she is one of the nicest people I've talked to at any business. People these days are just not friendly anymore. The price I paid for a 1/4 inch sheet cake (which feeds about 12-16 people) is unbelievable. This time I ordered an inscribed carrot cake with actual cream cheese frosting, which is usually a lot more expensive than a regular cake, but I've ordered those too, are they're still pretty fantastic. If you're looking for a good old fashioned bakery made cake, and not a store bought one, this should be your place to go.

I have been a customer for over 50 years first at the 16 street location and now in Greendale. The quality is perfection and the cleanliness outstanding. Their greatest asset is the people who work there! Their filled cupcakes are perfection itself. The buttercream frosting is perfection itself. I go daily to get my dose of heaven!

If you're looking for a unique bakery, come here. They're are a few locations around Milwaukee. They offer hot ham and rolls (a Sunday Wisconsin tradition) and during Easter hot cross buns. They have a small deli department that offers pasta and potato salads and a table right when you walk in that has breads, brownies and cookies for a quick pick up and go option. The staff is always friendly and they have a few members that are bilingual.

Also, if you haven't picked up a box of paczkis on Fat Tuesday, it's a tradition you'll soon do year after year once you do.
