Reviews of Bottega Louie

Love this place, the glamorous vibe and design are so fun and their food is exquisite. We got some macaroons and they were the freshest most delicious ones I have ever tasted! Woohooo I recommend the cotton candy and salted caramel!
They also have the most beautiful delicate pastries that are not only eye candy but a real treat. This is a great place for a date night or day, or you can stop by for their baked goods and sweet treats! Simply fave!

The food and service were absolutely excellent. We went on a Tuesday night around 8pm and got a table right away. I ordered the trenne and it was delicious. The noodles are crispy yet soft and the portion of braised prime rib eye was generous. My only complaint is that they sat our party of 4 at a tiny table. We barely had enough room for our entrees and drinks, otherwise the experience was great.

First time for me here. My brother and his family have been here repeatedly. We came Saturday noon and was able to get a table of 9 pretty fast. We parked around the corner parking lot $7 all day parking on Saturday. Food was excellent. We had breakfast/lunch. Salad/Benedict/sandwiches/pizza. Chocolate soufflé $16 and pancake were fantastic. We like the ambiance/service/food. We will come back

Had a great meal today at Bottega. We got a hamburger and a Cobb salad; which we shared. I adore well done, crispy fries and that is exactly what we got with the burger.
The Cobb salad was really well done. I do not like heavy dressing and this salad was just right! We also got some croissants 🥐 to go! Can’t come here without a sweet to take home so we also bought a lemon tart. Can’t wait for dessert!!

Downtown LA just arrived & was brought here by my friends & I loved it!! Great ambiance, clean, breakfast was phenomenal as you can see in my pics it was wonderful even the bread they give you when you first get seated was off the hook!! You have to try Bottega Louie it is amazing!! The beignet’s melt in your mouth that topped off my beautiful breakfast ♥️ I am definitely stopping in to pick up some items to bring back to My Chi-Town Family!! Before the end of my trip!!

Impeccable service! My friends had Pasta and Pizza and said they’re good. Steak is good too. Really good portion, you can share it. The pastries and cakes are yummy and cute. Cocktails are creative.
This location does not take reservation so just walk in, they have plenty of seating. Pay parking is not very far from the restaurant too, I think we paid $7.

It was 2018 when it was the last time I went to Bottega Louie. Although the restaurant has been closed during COVID, the food is still good during this visit. The shrimp was amazing for sure! The dragon food drink also impressive. Salmon, pasta, salad were all good! 5 star restaurant for real!

So, I've heard rave reviews about this place And I was working in the area so I decided to finally give it a shot for lunch. I called ahead to make sure lunch reservations weren't required, and they weren't. I spoke to a really nice woman on the phone also named Michelle and we had a brief conversation about her favorite food items that I should eat. I walked inside and was quickly seated. They brought water immediately and placed the piece of bread in the center of my small table. I ordered the "Calabrese" Pizza by recommendation and since I'm pescatarian, ordered it with no salami. I also ordered the gazpacho. The bread was good, however it wasn't warm like I thought it would be and the butter was refrigerated, so really hard to spread. I asked my waitress for some soft butter and she brought some back in no time! I was still kind of sad the bread wasn't warm but I got over that pretty quickly when the gazpacho arrived. They placed a large white bowl in front of me with flowers and herbs on the side and a man with what looked like a wine decanter poured the gazpacho into the bowl. It was a very cool experience and the gazpacho was absolutely delicious. The pizza blew me away way more than I thought it was going to. The spicy with the mixture of the honey drizzle on top was absolute perfection. The best part about lunch by myself here, having plenty of leftovers for later. I look forward to coming back and will update if my experience exceeds my expectations.

Bottega Louie is the go-to place when you are in DTLA. The interior restaurant has a classic, clean, and beautiful vibe. The cool air conditioning inside feels good on a hot summer day. The pastries are displayed by the front door of the restaurant with colorful macaroons and other desserts. The food is delicious. They have salads, pizza, burgers, and pasta. You can order some of the pizzas 1/2 and 1/2. The portions are large and can easily be shared. After dinner, we bought a box of macaroons to take home. The macaroons are a great gift because they’re beautiful, tasty, and nicely wrapped. I definitely recommend trying Bottega Louie if your in DTLA.

This is what dream are made of. What a delight. Had all the pastries - all delicious but the caramel one is delectable. The lobster hash may be the best meal I’ve ever had in my life. We went 3 times in a single 3 day weekend trip 😅

I love this place and go often. Cool vibe large windows, I like to sit next to the window and people watch. Some of my favorite things to order are salmon eggs Benedict and espresso martini for breakfast; and I love the beignets with raspberry and Nutella so damn good

Just a great overall great date spot. The service was impeccable from staff. The hamburger was perfect with the aioli, their drinks delicious, and their desserts on point. There’s surprisingly a lot of seating, so it’s a nice spot to come with a group after an event.

We went for weekend brunch. Highly recommend the margherita pizza. Avoid the Belgium waffles. Hard and dry. They did warn us it was hard. Carbonara was yummy. Belini was the best I’ve ever had. The smoked salmon hash was also tasty.

I only tried pastries and not their hot food so I can only speak on that. The pastries were good. Overpriced and not as good as I expected them to be based on how good everything looked and how good the reviews were but yea. I wouldn’t come back here for the macarons. I spent basically $50 on a dozen macarons and they were just okay. I’ve had much better ones than here so I probably wouldn’t return. It was very nice inside though and the display in the bakery was beautiful.

This was a great dining experience. The service was great from the start. The hostess was informative and courageous. The waiter, Chester took his time and explained the options and made some very spot-on suggestions. It can get a little noisy but other than that, i have only good things to say. Thanks for making my experience a positive one.

My favorites are Portobello Fries (appetizer) and Margherita Pizza. For dessert Tiramisu and chocolate souffle. Don't miss their house made beignets.
The food is great, but not the best. The ambiance is nice, and the decoration is simple and elegant. The service is great and the staff are friendly.
They have a bakery/ pastry in front of the restaurant, and you can get take-home goods, or you can order pastry/drink and sit in the bakery area.
Unfortunately, they don't take reservations. So sometimes they have long wait time.
If you happened to be in Downtown LA, don't miss this place.

Being half Italian I feel I can spot a great Italian meal right when I taste it so after stopping in for Valentines dinner tonight I can say that this is delicious food and nothing like so many of the non authentic Italian restaurant chains all around the US. They have a great selection of desserts and many will be stopping in for those, but the restaurant service is the real best part. They don’t take reservations, nor can you put your name on a waitlist digitally like they say they can do on their VM, but still we only waited 25 minutes tonight and it was worth it.
I had to get an Italian Soda to drink with my meal because they have been something that I have loved since childhood but rarely see anymore, so if you’re in the mood for something sweet I would highly recommend ordering one. For the food we ordered the Carpaccio to start and it was very good and for $18 it was a fair price. For our entrees we got the Carbonara (which was my favorite) and the Burrata pizza. I can say the pizza is the best that I’ve had in DTLA, Pizzanista is my other favorite, I was pleasantly surprised how good it was. It had crisped garlic on top and they went above by cooking the spinach before adding it to the pizza which is the authentic way and sadly many other places don’t focus on the smaller details as well.
Overall a casual and delicious meal. It’s priced fairly and can get very busy depending on the day and time so I would be prepared to wait around a half an hour to be seated. I will be back again soon.

A must visit, fabulous restaurant if you are visiting LA and you are hungry and looking for a nice dining experience. This restaurant is so vast with an open floor plan and feels relaxed but also rich! The food here is very very tasty, especially the portobello fries and the variety of pizzas. You can see the cook preparing the Pizza live. And the macaroons....they are one of a kind!! You have to have the macaroons without fail, if you are visiting this place. The macaroon section at the front of the restaurant as you enter is a sight worth taking in. Ot's usually busy all the time with many folks waiting ro pick up their macaroons. Overall, this restaurant is an experience everyone visiting LA should have!
Sir Bernard Mendes France
One of the finest restaurants in DTLA that has a surprisingly sumptuous Breakfast/Brunch/Petit Déjeuner everyday and on weekends especially.
À Pâtisserie et Boulangerie mixtes, c’est magnifique pour le tout en plus l’ambiance Italienne.
Prices are moderately reasonable but the quality is of course outstanding and exceptionally tastefully well-appointed. Tables and chairs are in a bistro style in addition to a classic bar seating area too. Great for entertaining friends and popping the question on a more serious occasion. And date night for that special someone in your life. No bar hold—it’s all good!
Claire J
I can spend half day sitting here enjoying dining! From the greeting and welcoming by he host to drink & dining menu,m and dessert options - everything was great! Five stars wo hesitations!
Maroosh De
Very nice bakery and ambiance. Went here for dessert this time and it never disappoints. Dreamy layered croissants, fluffy tiramisu, macarons for days. A bit pricey, but worth it. Highly recommend.
Ronald Dolsky
I had high hopes but fell short on the desserts. The atmosphere inside spoke class. The building, decor, dessert display, everything said this is high end. They even had several flavors of beignets! I tried all 3 and an eclair. The eclair lacked flavor and sadly the beignets tasted more like your run of the mill donuts. At least they all looked pretty.

This is my go to bakery for delicious pastries, cakes, and lattes!! I loveeee Bottega, it is such an iconic place in DTLA and it’s so convenient that it’s walking distance to my apartment :,)
My all time favorite from here is their fruit tart, I mean just look at it!!!:o they put the equivalent of 3 Whole Foods boxes of blueberries on the tart, it’s so stacked 🤣🙏🏻 The vanilla bean & blueberry compote in the tart is so amazing and the fruit gives it a refreshing aspect.
You can never go wrong with any of the pastries here! The almond croissant and ham and cheese croissant are definitely some of my favorites. It’s no wonder this restaurant is the most highly reviewed restaurant in LA!

Had a great experience. The food was good (some dishes lacked a little seasoning but most was very good) and the dessert was delicious. Our waiter was really nice and helpful in selecting entrees.

Popped in for some macaroons after having dinner next door. Easily one of my new spots in DTLA for a drink and desert.
Tons of desert options, super moody, aesthetically pleasing inside and actually delicious.
Macaroons were packed with flavor. Will be back soon!

Heard about Bottega Louis as a recommended restaurant to go to in LA. They have their bakery and pastry shop connected to the restaurant. Loved the ambiance of the restaurant and decor. It is quite busy. We were seated quickly. Staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. We saw our pizza being made in front of us. I ordered one Margherita pizza and bianco pizza. I did enjoy the Margherita pizza over the bianco. I thought the bianco pizza would have a white sauce on it, which was a little bit disappointing. I also ordered gnudi which I did not like at all. I thought it was tasteless. The brussel sprouts and walnuts, portabello mushroom fries and calamari was tasty.
We also tried their macarons and lemoncello pastry ( hope that's the correct name). The desserts were yummy. The packaging was also very nice.

As a cookbook author, I always appreciate good food, but a cute upscale ambience never hurts. If the glass display of macarons and other delectable pastries just inside the door doesn't entice you in, then you don't have a sweet tooth. But Bottega Louie delivers on the savory food also. We started with the Brussels sprouts and Walnuts which were absolutely delicious. Crispy and flavorful. Then we shared a plate of arancini. The rice balls had a nice subtle herbaceous flavor. The pizza arrived and was super thin crust with just the right amount of toppings. In this case prosciutto and burrata. Everything was delicious and expertly served. Our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly. But lunch wouldn't have been complete without something sweet. I highly recommend the hazelnut beignet. Purely and utterly blissful. But the macarons are also hard to beat. I can't wait to go back.

Boujee Italian restaurant in DTLA to splurge a little. They have amazing service and wonderful food. Pizzas and salads are great. Drinks are amazing. Great selection of desserts.
Very touristy.

I absolutely love this place. There was a little confusion in the pastry section of the restaurant. I wanted to eat there but accidentally got everything to go. The new manager arranged aur table and was so kind and just amazing. He's a great example for good customer service. The desserts are amazing too.
Jannely Saucedo
What a lovely place! I decided to treat myself to here and the atmosphere is SO lovely. I ate at the bar and received wonderful service. The food was delicious although a little on the pricier side. I will definitely be back here
Tamara Holt
My husband got a coffee and I got the lavender mint lemonade (super refreshing and delicious). The service was great and it's just a beautiful place all around. It was a very posh place.
Kevin Gardner
Beautiful restaurant but the music was a little loud. They don't take reservations so we called to see how long the wait would be, and the person on the phone wouldn't even say if there was currently a line. (We almost decided not to go.)
We only waited 20 mins. The service was quick and very good. Many of the staff were no longer wearing masks (which was a first).
Overall the food was good. I have never seen portobello fries, and they were really tasty. The portion is large and easily shared. I would definitely get those again. I was less fond of the avocado sandwich. The bread was really thick, and there was a strange taste to the avocado.
My friend had the club sandwich, and we both agreed that was the winner. The portions are smaller than a normal club, and the percentage of bread to filling was perfect. It came with fries that were also good.
We didn't order dessert, but what they offer looked amazing!
Next time, I would definitely get a pizza or their pasta dishes. They also looked incredible!

I took someone special here. She loved it. This place is beautiful and elegant and classy. Very professional respectful and friendly. The food was great. This place is A little pricey but if you have some extra cash to spare i say treat yourself, Because it's worth every dime. Wheelchair accessible entrance from 7th street. This is a “Must Go” location. 💯 @iamajsupernova #iamajsupernova

We were for the first time today for celebrating my mom’s birthday🎉 And we ordered eggs Benedict without bacon, macchiato and some macaroons. We liked the eggs Benedict and macaroons, but macchiato seems to me lit bit bitter (
Eric Lee
Loud bustling atmosphere, very much an Italian eatery.
Pasta was freshly made. Carbonara wasn't too creamy and the noodles had some real bite.
Bolognese was not too heavy.
Napoli pizza was really balanced if you're an olive fan
Arthur T
good spot! definitely a more boujee feel
salad and pizza are good.
parking is an absolute pain. ended up parking in the garage on the side. carefully read the street parking signs!!!!
Emiliano Noriega-Petti
We ordered a celebration cake and their smaller banana dessert. Both were incredibly delicious and the macaroons that were on the celebration cake were not soggy which is something that I always worry about when they stick them in a cake. The price are absolutely fair for the quality of food that you are getting. I will say that the dough which is used for the banana dessert was baked to the point that it was brittle as opposed to crumbly though. However it tasted so very good that I ultimately didn't mind that too much I just thought the pastry would be a bit shorter.
According to my boyfriend this Bottega is not as nice as the one in West Hollywood. Personally I don't think that either one in terms of the shop is better or worse but this one is in a much poorer location in terms of finding parking and who you might bump into waiting for your car. I'm also not actually talking about the aggressive panhandlers in particular here I'm more talking about the very nearby valet who is unhappy that you are waiting for a car he is not going to be bringing.
Sarah Lynn
I’ve been here before and had a great time, so we went again yesterday. Food was okay, not as good as the first time in terms of flavor. One of our pasta dishes was served cold, and the waitress was very nice and took it off our bill. Pastries are to die for. Will return!
Varun N
Definitely a place worth calling itself a French Patisserie. Great brunch. Exceptional 🎂. Pick anything. Yoo won't go wrong.
Darcey Garcia
We ordered a side of meatballs as an appetizer and a pepperoni pizza. To drink we ordered a cab from Napa. My husband doesn't normally drink wine with me but loved the wine and was very impressed. The the atmosphere was very welcoming and our waitress MJ was outstanding with great recommendations. My husband and don't eat in LA often but I know we'll definitely come back because sadly we didn't leave room for dessert. So many sweets to choose from, I'd like to experience that next time.
Alejandro Herrera
Great food and atmosphere. We had the bolognese and club sandwich and couldn’t recommend it enough. Victor was our server and did a great job of recommending what to eat and drink.
Maryann Elegonye
I loved Bottega Louie! Upon arrival we were seated and served bread and butter. Then I ordered their trenne pasta with braised beef and it was yummy at first it looked like fries but was very well seasoned! For dessert they have a huge selection so I tried their cookie and macarons. I didn't enjoy the chocolate chip cookie because it tasted funny to me but the macarons were delicious. I would like to try their breakfast menu which only happens on weekends so I will be back! Very clean and upscale restaurant in LA!
Luci Ramirez
Everytime I go here the meal is delicious, service is great and friendly. Great late night option in dtla. The pizza is the best. Pastry case is a work of art.
Aubryanne Cook
5/5 based on the amazing coffee, the aesthetic and the fact that they’re open late :)
4 stars bc there are NOT a ton of vegan options I wish there were pastries for vegans too!
Someone in this kitchen is very talented. And this is one of the most instagramable places downtown.
Ali Farshadfar
Have heard about this place in DTLA a lot, tried it the other day and I love it. Went for a brunch and tried avocado chorizo and croque madame, both were delicious also their pastries.
The staff are nice and provide an excellent service.

I was here for my bday weekend on July 24th... THIS IS MY FAVORITE PLACE! I have always enjoyed their pastries and food! I was so glad it was back open for business after being closed for so long due to the Pandemic. I had the Chicken Parm with Tiramisu & Vanilla Pistachio Ice Cream. DELICIOUS! Fantastic service & amazing atmosphere 👏🏾 👌🏾 The Bathrooms are THE BEST💕
Heather Dunmoyer
The burrata and prosciutto pizza was amoré! For $30 it fed 4 easily. So flavorful and extremely fresh. The Bloody Mary was delicious as well, nice and spicy. This is a classy place but for good reason.
Cecilia Nakajima
Waited until they reopened, so glad they did. Everything was delicious. We ordered the lobster hash and their burrata pizza. Ended our brunch with the beignets.
Olga Ilina
We went there the first day it's opened after it has been closed and I was little disappointed. I used to come there often but this time service wasn't good. They messed up our cards and charged us for a different table, coffee was cold and wasn't tasty... we missed our parking time because they had to figure out our cards. It was annoying. Hopefully they can figure out service and quality of food. Cheers!

This restaurant & bakery is awesome! I love their cakes and the interior is so clean. Also the staff is nice😊

Really like the vibe of the cafe. Liked their coffee and i didn’t like caramel praline and fruit tart, thought its average not my fav. But, tried the tiramisu cake from my friend its 10/10 for me. Try it!
Roxanne Hendricks
Delightful dinner spot! We shared the heirloom tomatoes and burrata as a starter, and our entrees were the chicken parmigiana and the carbonara. Both were generous portions and delicious! The Juicy cocktail was particularly outstanding. Great service, too.
Stephan Herard
Got macaroons and blueberry marscarpone dessert. The Marscarpone was amazing. Great textures and flavor. Would recommend it. The macaroons were great. Pistachio was my favorite.

Loooove this place one of the best patisserie in DTLA very fancy so it's nice for gifts and special days😉 All their cakes are nice but my pick would be the pistachio cake(3rd photo)
Ps. It's also a nice place to pop in for fancy brunch
Sucharkin Love
OMG the dessert is unbelievable here, never tried winning in but always come for the desserts. So yummy, and it’s always a must to try something new.
Derek Williamson
Amazing truffle pizza, and Clint liked the the Muscles (gay), and the ambiance was what you would expect from a Family-Friendly restaurant in the City. All our service, including our server, Mariana, was amazing. The left faucet in the men’s restroom was running without a solution and that’s a bummer. Less stars until management fixes that.
Thanks for a great truffle pizza. Xoxo Derek
Maria Marshall
Great place, great customer service, food was delicious 😋
We had Burrata pizza, heirloom tomato salad and the best of everything... Portobello fries !! 🥰 Delicious !!!
Jessie Yang
The truffle pizza was perfect for me (cause I am not a big fan of tomato sauce) the dough was perfect . The pancake was also very fluffy (very good). It reminds of the fluffy Japanese cheese cake from Uncle Tetsu

Great selection of high quality menu items, friendly staff ,and great ambiance! Had a great time!
Kevin Ang
Love the display or gourmet donuts, macaroons and cakes. Large seating area for afternoon tea.
Keiko Arzouman
Came here to lunch + left with a box of macarons. If you’re in the mood for a casual, yet posh lunch and can spend a pretty penny on pizza, salad and other Americanized Italian cuisine, Bottega Louie is your spot. Food was fine, nothing extraordinary. Go there to say you’ve been there and to tag your location on Instagram. ✅

Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in the world. The decor, the service, the food …. Chefs kiss. It’s all about the beignets! Can’t wait to eat here again.

Craving Italian after watching From Scratch so this was a last minute dinner decision. Had no wait time and food was amazing! Public parking available kitty corner from the restaurant. Definitely recommend the CARBONARA!! Husband loved the pizza!

The food is so amazing good..
Even the water tastes like it came out of the heavens..
Just wish the $$$ was a little cheaper but it's the worth the 💰💰

Very special! The service was perfect and the food delicious. The portions were large and the prices not too bad. It's just a bit noisy with all the hard spaces. I highly recommend -- just go often so you can try every delicious offering the menu presents and take home sweet treats.
Mandi Budd
Delicious Italian cuisine but even better desserts. Worth a visit if you're downtown.

This place deserves all the accolades it gets. Lovely setting, perfect presentation, and fantastic bolognese. Please keep it up, BL - you are an example of others to follow 🙏🏽🙌🏽🙏🏽 …

Update on 1/5/22
They reopened!!!! My GF was heartbroken that her favorite restaurant was closed for so long, so when we saw they were open while walking by after dinner down the street, of course we had to drop in for a nightcap and dessert. So glad we did. The bartender, Shanda, was so awesome! Really catered to us knowing we were just in for dessert, but she was so cool we stayed for 2-3 drinks to go along with our beignets :) She also brought a birthday dessert when she heard it was my big day. How awesome was that! Beignets were pretty amazing and my free coffee cake birthday dessert was pretty awesome too. We will be back!

Great spot for a quick bite and drinks before a game or show in LA. Food is always pretty good and service decent. Our server on this night was very attentive once he was able to get to us, but it did take a while for him to get to us due to the other tables. Our pizza which was half burrata and half Margherita was delicious. The crust was chewy and crisp from the brick oven. Only complaint was the greens on the burrata side. I think it was broccoli rabe and was a little too bitter for my taste. The octopus was flavorful, but seemed to be a smaller than usual portion. The best part of the meal for me was the bread and butter though. Delish! Chewy goodness with tasty butter to pair with it.
M Nichols
Had an amazing lunch while working in DTLA with a friend. The food was out of this world and looked beautiful to boot.

The brunch is decent. The real shining star is the bakery section of this restaurant. The macarons are delightful and fluffy, made to perfection. The other baked goods were delicious. For brunch I ordered the goat cheese omelets which was pretty good. If I came through again, I'd stick with the bakery just in terms of bang for your buck!

Overall: 4.4/5
Bottega Louie is an aesthetic establishment. They have a patisserie, a cafe, a bar, & a restaurant. They have beautiful desserts that are too pretty to eat. We only got dessert and a refreshing beverage so we need to come back to try their food & alcoholic drinks.
5 Piece Macaron Box ($16): We got Grand Cru, Earl Grey, Pistachio, Espresso, & the Macaron of the month. They were all really good but I would say the Grand Cru is my least favorite. They are pricier than other places at $3.20/macaron but are perfect for gifts.
Mint Lemonade: This was okay. Definitely not worth it.

This is one of my all time favorite spots to be at in DTLA. When I lived downtown I would walk and sit at Bottega Louie for hours, doing fashion school homework and listening to the crowd. It’s a very posh place, and I draw a lot of inspiration from the environment.
Food is incredible. Some of the best Italian I have ever had. Great presentation. Excellent excellent service. And handsome! Pizza. Pasta. Beef. Artisanal drinks. Experienced. Desserts. Macaroons.
Date night. Special occasion. Birthday. Celebration. Friends. Groups. Solo. Cafe. Market.

This place was great, it's got a cool ambiance and is in a great central location downtown. I came here for lunch with a friend and we enjoyed a Tartufo Pizza to share a long with various appetizers.
The food came out quickly and our server was polite and courteous. There's also a huge selection of desserts and drinks if you're looking for an after meal snack.

Although I have dined here for brunch, lunch and dinner previously, I believe Louie is known best known for its cakes, pastries and macarons. One can order them with any meal or get take out in beautiful pastel boxes. My family loves the raspberry chocolate cake, limoncello tart and strawberry almond tart. The opera and Napoleon are also very good. The passion fruit , lavender and pistachio macarons are a must try.
Carlos Castañon Sanchez
Omg, the best pizza I've ever taste al LA, if you have the chance you must visit this place, the service is amazing and the food it's on another level
Michael Moore-Chiorazzo
I was very excited to eat here for breakfast but lack of parking forced us into lunch time. None the less, my wife and I accepted and sat down. Our waitress seemed nice but we saw her 3 times total. Seating, to drop off plates and to give boxes. I just feel like if my lunch costs me $70+ then I shouldn’t at lease see a smile a few times and to make sure I’m doing well. I really wanted to go back for breakfast the next day but after the lunch, it felt as if it wasn’t worth it. Pizza was great though. Lasagna was bland.

Food was delicious! We went for my husband's birthday and we had a great time, it was well worth it. Our waitress Mariana was phenomenal, she handled everything with care and had great recommendations as it was our first time being there. Would recommend again and again!

Had the experience of having breakfast here. I must say probably the best waffles and Avacado toast I had in a very long time. The service is great very classy vibes and it has a very open concept with a lot of white which just makes everything better. The staff is friendly and the best part is the pricing of the food is amazing compared to the quality of food your getting. I highly recommend this place

The food here is consistently excellent. The service is also top notch and the portions are generous. Our waiter really made my night! The space is wonderful and you don’t feel cramped when dining. I come here every time I’m in LA — it’s perfect for a date night/group of friends/family.

Great place to have dinner or a cup of tea.. highly recommended of you live in LA or visiting to LA

Stopped by for a chocolate Danish today, after attempting to pick up my Amazon package.
Bit into my French Danish expecting a bite of chocolate inside, but unfortunately they only stuck one slab of chocolate right dab in the middle. Disappointed.
The few times I've come in, they usually have a variety of music, good vibe.
I guess a drummer chose it this afternoon, because it was only drums, and not cool vibe drum music, so I put my earphones on and listened to Spotify, and the vibe got better 😃

This place is fine. Got a burger, which was over cooked. Service was good. The atmosphere is clean and minimalistic but with all the openness and hard surfaces (nothing on the walls and marble floors) it makes for a very loud environment. Difficult to hear the person next to you or the waiter.

Great place to hang out at night and grab a drink and some pastries. The macarons are, of course, delicious. The cheesecake was also fantastic.

I remember long ago when I was researching where to go in LA that this place had an astronomical amount of reviews and wanted to try this place out. I completely forgot about this place until I walked by it. I saw the designs and sweets and was instantly drawn to this place. The desserts look beautiful. I came in and it is a large place and clean too. I can see how this place ended up with high reviews as it is quite a place to have a seat and enjoy a nice brunch or date night - or morning after.
I only ordered cakes when I was here and I splurged and bought 3 cakes. It was a bit pricey for how much I got from it, but delicious.
I asked the staff which one they would recommend, and I ended up buying them. I was happy with about 2/3 cakes. One of them was quite plain, but the pistachio and the montebello dacqoise was delicious. I would recommend them.

Albert is super awesome and I loved all the sweets he made. Everything was so pretty and tastes amazing. I think even for those who doesn't like chocolate, this will blow your mind. I would love to buy from him again, easily worth for way more than what he charges!

One waitress waiting on us was very rude and mocking my boyfriend when he was pronouncing Italian dishes and beverages. He speaks Italian and the way she would say it back was condescending and felt like she was making fun of him. Food was decent too. Pizza was freshly made and our pasta was overcooked. I wouldn't come back for their savory food, but I'll try their desserts. Everything was out when we arrived at night.
Mahdi Shirvin
Stopped by for a coffee and pastries every thing was classy and expensive. Great experience overall

Always love this place! The macarons are to die for! They melt in your mouth and they are famous for them 😁😁😁
The food portions are large and everything is delicious you can't go wrong! A fun place to gather with friends and very uplifting place.

Went there for having Lasgna after seeing great reviews however found that they have stopped serving Lasgna. Had Bolognese and it was tasty!
Jabez Bhushan
Not a sweet tooth, but loved their pastries. Exquisite and tasty.
Jeremy W
Food was delicious and the atmosphere has an open classical look to it. Loved being able to see all the chefs hard at work making their creations. Service was good but scarcely saw them, it might have been busy, I'm not sure was sat by the window so was enjoying people watching

If you are fabulous like me and like gold, marble and colorful desserts, this place is for you. If you can't get a reservation, you can still sit at the café or at the bar. You really come here for a good time for people watching and some light eating/drinks. Their food is decent but no Michelin-foodie type. Their West-Hollywood location is also nice.

Beautiful place. Love the decor. Love the ambience. I came here for my birthday for lunch and had the pasta. It looked so good and tasted just as good. My friend ordered the pizza and oh boy, we thought it was the size for one person but it wasn't! It was gigantic. U can probably feed 4 people. We tried the truffle pizza, was pretty good and unique.
The gift shop was so pretty. I wanted to buy everything there as the packaging was so nice.
It's best for breakfast or brunch here. Make a reservation if you are coming on the weekend. Less people during the weekday.

Such a cute and insta worthy cafe and breakfast/brunch location! Follow me on Instagram @trueexperience for this cool spot!

Food is great. Portobello mushrooms frys are the best. The pasties are also to die for. It a little loud so having a conversation during your meal I a little difficult but don't let that stop you. This place is a total vibe. 👌

It was a great experience. The waiter was awesome. He made sure we had water and drinks. He gave great advice for our order. I highly recommend this location.

Bottega Louie is located on the heart of dtla and parking is in the building across the street or valet. No reservations from what I'm aware. The pastry side closes at 10pm and the restaurant closes at 11pm. We originally walked in to get macarons but ended up sitting inside the restaurant. We didn't have a resy but they sat us down immediately with plenty seating. We got served by a very nice waiter who brought us water and took our dessert of choice. The desserts were good except the gelato was DARK chocolate so beware when you order the chocolate gelato!! Very rich and creamy. The beignets were regular-sugared instead of powder and it felt like a fluffy donut. I know their food options are also wonderful!! Definitely one of a kind. The ambiance is super classy and beautiful with all around white backgrounds. Must visit!

Ordered a buffet of items to celebrate my sibling's birthday.
Pros: outstanding and charming service. Simple posh environment. Fresh and high quality ingredients. Strong and robust coffee. Quality and clean silver plated utensils. Clean linens. Presentable decor and displayed bakery items. Generous use of gold color contrasted with marble white.
Cons: the actual neighborhood location in downtown LA not ideal for this type of restaurant. A bit stuffy and humid inside the restaurant. Climate seemed slightly uncomfortable.

Defines the true luxury, patisserie dining experience. The ambience, packaging, and most importantly the culinary creations themselves are like art to look at. Selecting their world famous macarons was actually fun activities aside from their deliciousness. One of our lattes got mixed and the barista instantly made us a new cup, free of cost. Portobello mushroom fries are a must try item. Highly recommend this place.

It's one of my new favorite restaurants now. I've been to this place a few times and each time the service was similar. The servers were courteous, cheerful and helpful. You would think a place like this would have an attitude, but it cannot be further from the truth. The food was delicious and appetizing, the place is vibrant and comfortable. I'd suggest coming here for just a slice of cake (the desserts on offer are amazing and all gorgeous), a cup of coffee and just people watch. It's never short of good looking people and everyone comes in and leaves with a smile.
Alessandro Angelotti
Nicely decorated hip restaurant, also good for breakfast and coffee at the heart of downtown LA. I paid $38 for an eggs benedict and a black coffe including tip. That’s a bit too much for breakfast. Or am I wrong? Waitress was lovely. She deserved it though.
Lina Ngo
I would definitely recommend this cafe/brunch for anyone visiting. They have such a huge selection of macaroons, bakery and cake to take home. Everything we ordered was very enjoyable. I was lucky to get seated quickly as it wasn’t as busy but it does get busy very quickly as well. Very family friendly, service was great.

Beautiful restaurant with tasty menu options for brunch make this an easy to recommend spot for travelers and locals as well. The picturesque decor is sure to please the clean space aesthetic enthusiast whether it plays into their love for clean and open spaces or fits into the feed on their social media. The staff is friendly and was quick to replace one of our dishes that came out with something we weren’t entirely able to distinguish and st not fuss or extra cost. The salmon platter is super recommended as it was very fresh a don’t the tomatoes were super juicy as well.

Great atmosphere. Casual chic vibe. The crowd it attracts is office employees, grabbing a quick lunch or a pastry dessert to go. The savory options tasted rather bland however. Not any discernable flavour. However, the restaurant is well known for its myriad of dessert choices. Service was slow at first, but we were later helped by a wonderful lady named Melissa, who offered us a basil sauce that was was a great compliment to the calamari, chips and pasta. Overall, despite looking upscale, the service was friendly and surprisingly non-snobbish. Don't be intimidated by it's appearance. Once you're seated, one will come to find that it is a relaxed atmosphere.

Service is good and the staff is very friendly. The restroom is very clean. My friend and I ordered a pizza and a salad. I don’t know it’s that we didn’t order the right thing or else, these two dishes didn’t fit our taste much, but I wouldn’t say it’s bad neither. I could tell they are well-made.
Jon Bush
Lobster hash was amazing. Croque Monsieur came with a sadly overcooked egg sunnyside up (hard yoke, no bueno). Beniets were a puffy bread lump, i.e
boring donut, rolled in sugar, probably the biggest disappointment after seeing all the other amazing looking pastries...should have had a croissant instead. Charming service and great company made up for the food's lack. Will be back for pastries for sure.
Mallessa Y
This Italian restaurant is very lovely. I really loved the interiors and it's a great place to get some desserts.
We came here for brunch and the food was delicious! I ordered the french toast with berries and it was delicious!
I highly recommend coming here!
Kristin Klope
The only reason I give this 4 out of 5 is the noise. We found it hard to hear each other while eating lunch. The food, I felt like we were back in Italy. Everything was delicious! The dish we would say is safe was the chicken parm so we probably wouldn't get that again. Everything is handmade and none of us had any leftovers. The ravioli was a smaller portion and a good lunch size. We had dessert and finished those as well. The raspberry sauce is amazing and you can purchase it. We went over to the bakery section and ordered a bunch of things. They have some of the best macarons I have had. Highly recommend everything. There were fun holiday treats as well right before Christmas.
Shaya Klechevsky
My seat mate on the flight over to LAX said to me "If you want a bougie brunch, you HAVE to go to Bottega Louie", so that's what we did. It did NOT disappoint. All the servers were extremely attentive, and accommodating. The food was absolutely, supremely good. The smoked salmon benedict was, in a word, perfect. The poached eggs were extremely fresh, the Hollandaise was clearly prepared that morning and had a lovely creamy mouth feel that complimented the poached runny yolk. The decision to top the eggs over potato pancakes was a great idea.
Bougie or not, this place is definitely worth the visit. I'd suggest going early to avoid the late brunch rush, however, as this popular destination fills up quickly.

I've had dinner here a few years ago and this was my first time here for lunch. I'm from the East coast but my friends always bring me back macarons because they're one of my favorites. Their colors are perfect and girly. I ordered a small box to take back home to NY with me. For lunch I had the Cobb salad while my husband had a pizza and my friend had the avocado toast and gnocchi. Everything was delicious. Service was excellent. Our waitress was so sweet and friendly.
Lixing Fu
Service was okay but not perfect. The place was soooo spacious. Beautiful interior with a sense of Europe. The experience was very special. If you like to try something different, you should try it.
Also the pastry was amazing!!!!!

Incredible food, cool ambiance, professional, helpful staff. I've only been here for breakfast so far, but the food impressed me and the waiter got me drunk with his drink recommendations. If you want to surprise your significant other with an elegantly served and prepared breakfast that tastes fantastic and pairs well with to-die-for breakfast cocktails, take them to Louie!

One of the most popular places in downtown Los Angeles.
Luisa F. Salas García
I visited yesterday and, look, the food is delicious and the restaurant is beautiful, can’t say even a bad word about that. The thing is, our waitress was the rudest: first, she asked if she could get our check and made a joke “do you want it with or without the cops?”, implying we couldn’t pay the check. We didn’t even order the check and she brought it to us, almost hurrying us to get up quickly. Then, when I erased the original tip I was going to give her, and told her explicitly that I wasn’t going to give her that much, she still charged me the full amount.
Honestly, it does leave a bad taste for such a nice restaurant. Should look out that for that. Irony is she was Latina as well, so it’s funny where the racism and elitism can come from lol.
Adam Bedard
Great food. Great atmosphere. Dishes are pricey but generously portioned. I recommend the Chicken Milanese. Chicken breast coated with, what seemed to be, panko bread crumbs. Dishes are mostly a la carte, so you can order a side dish to go with your meal if you'd wish. Do not forget to get the macarons! It is what they are most famous for. Check their website before you go. They have the information concerning where to park for validation.

I've come to this place a few times since I first ate here roughly 10 years ago. I can't come here very often, I'm not in Los Angeles that often, but when I am, I make sure I stop by for lunch or dinner. I've brought my girlfriend here before, and most recently, a friend from out of state. One thing has struck me about this place. The consistency of a delicious meal. It's never failed to deliver. Salads, apps, pizzas, you name it. I shared calamari and meatballs with friends as we waited for our pizza to share. The calamari, I'm picky. I'm not the biggest fan of seafood, but will definitely appreciate when it's well done. I loved it here, definitely one of the best I've had. Meatballs, not everyone can make them well. These were seasoned well, slightly crispy on the outside and great center. The pizza, perfect. What can I say, a good pizza can be hard to find. They're everywhere, but they're not ALL good. Made right in front of you, a great, thin, delicious pie. Excellent sauce. I'll definitely continue to come back for years to come.

Really nice restaurant. Clean, expansive, stately. Great, great bakery choices. The food was delicious, the portions generous and the service was polished. We enjoyed it very much.
Peter Umbrell
Amazing service and great food. Everything was presented beautifully!
We had:
PROSCIUTTO & BURRATA
Prosciutto, burrata, basil & extra virgin olive oil on a potato pancake
LEMON RICOTTA PANCAKES
Served with lemon blueberry compote & maple syrup
BREAKFAST POTATOES
Crispy Idaho potatoes, rosemary, caramelized peppers & onions
And bacon

I am reviewing the gourmet pastry bakery market. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I bought 5 macarons ($2.50 each), a blackcurrant cupcake ($3) and a raspberry beignet. I enjoyed the macarons as they are not too sweet, just right for my taste bud. The beignet is special because it is coated with fine caster sugar adding a crunch when you bite it. The tartness of the raspberry compliments the sweetness of the dough. Perfect!
santiago solis
Wow! I knew it was going to be good. However, this place was amazing! Great staff and delicious food! The whiskey was on point.
Max M
Pastries are good. The restaurant is very loud. If you're looking for a place to chat avoid peak hours. Service was good, food is ok, all food lacked enough salt.
Bruschetta, they cut the bread way too thick. Lasagna recommended.
Balys
Awesome experience! Really friendly staff, spacious, clean, and the pizza was bomb. My girlfriend and I ordered just one and it was more than enough. $25 for a gourmet pizza for two at a nice restaurant is not bad at all. Didn't have any of the pastries this time, but they looked amazing in the display! Next time.

Great Italian restaurant, nice seating area will organized, friendly and helpful staff, great service and excellent food. Nice to get your family and friends to hang out for lunch or dinner with wonderful sweet. Very resonabl prices, l loved it. Because the area is open the noise is a little bit more than usual.
Sophie Su
Nice place to hang out with friends. Great photo spot with tasty food and adorable sweeties. The truffle pizza is must-try! The mushroom fries has surprised me~ I'll add it to my must order list,😋 …

As a dessert lover this was one of my favorite spots I visited. The desserts are stunning (and delicious) and the space and presentation is open, airy and light. Between the atmosphere and the phenomenal desserts, I want to live in there.
Sonia Ramrakhiani
I’ve been wanting to go here for a while, ever since I saw it on “worth it” We got there close to closing time so not much was available but we got a box of 5 macaroons and a small tart! The macaroons were delicious, some were slightly bitter! But overall, it was a good experience.

Excellent
I love this restaurant.

I had the pleasure of going to eat at bottega louie. all i can say is that it was a great time.
a culinary discovery.
the dishes was delicious , very well worked and presented. the menu is varied.
they are plentiful.
the service was excellent; waiter listening, available, smiling, and fast.
the place is magnificent, full and full of life. thanks for this moment.
we need one like that in belgium
I’ll defo come back !!!!

The cacio e pepe and sausage pizza were amazing. Service was great and food was quick. I would absolutely come back to this restaurant.
Nicole Copley
I love the wide open concept of this place. It's beautiful on the inside with high ceilings and white walls. The cafe area is wide open and always bustling with chatter and laughter.
2 small plates and an entree.
Bread - Apparently you only get it if you know to ask for it ..... so ask for it! It's freshly baked, great hard crust on the outside and warm and chewy on the inside.
Brussel Sprouts - delicious. So flavorful and well seasoned.
Crab Beignets - big crab flavor and I loved the dipping sauce that was on the side.
Lasagna - huge portion, def. happy we chose to share. It was thick with sauce and meat and noodles. Very delicious.
Chocolate Souffle - tell them to get ready 20 mins. in advance. It's packed with chocolate flavor.
Macarons - they deserve all the praise they get. These macarons are no joke - not overly sweet and perfectly flavored. We tasted the lemon and the birthday cake.
Walid Nabhane
Rating 4 stars for the price. While the space, the presentation and some items are impeccable, charging $14 for a pastry is insane. For half the price, this place would be packed like hell knowing the quality and the ambiance. The eclair au chocolat is perfect. The raspberry croissant is not that great. The croissant itself is not bad but the raspberry jam in it is too much and too sweet. I think they should remove half of the content and also half the sugar in it and maybe do more of a raspberry coulee instead. The dacquoise itself is excellent but the Chantilly cream is not that great. I prefer if it was the fruits on the dacquoise without the cream. Also for any dessert with a crème au beurre, the quantity is too much making it heavy. Need to reduce the sugar and butter quantities.
B Rod
Came in for lunch with a party of 4 and they sat us down immediately. The hostess was polite and very professional. We sat by the windows for a view of the street. Provielle introduced herself as our waitress. She received our drink order, sangria and a Moulin Rouge. Jerry brought out our drinks, also very polite. Provielle return and received our food order. Pepperoni pizza, mac and cheese, brussel sprouts, meatballs, and the modena salad with chicken breast. Drinks were very satisfying and every single dish was perfect. The pizza could have been a little more toasted for a crispy crust. We will return. Restaurant is very clean and smells delicious but it is extremely loud in there. A must visit if in the area.
Ferry Gondo
The dining hall was huge and spacious, yet looked so elegant and posh with all the marbled walls and tables. The atmosphere was vibrant and lively with a room full of people. Ordered a couple of pastries to take home. The macarons were delicious with a lot of nice variety of flavors to choose from and the eclair was mouth watering.
Lisa Bowman
This place is amazing. Think Tiffany's for baked goods. The packaging is beautiful, the pastries are beautiful. The dining area is very large and gets loud. The food is good, but I would go there for the bakery.
Jim Sherman
This is a review of the restaurant, not the bakery or bar. The restaurant is consistently very good -- quality of food is very high, presentation is thoughtful, and service is one of the better places in downtown LA. I had the mache salad and others in the party had salmon salad, crab brioche, and a burger. All very good but this place, as pretty as it is, is unpleasantly loud. We arrived slightly before the lunch crowd but by the time we finished at noon it was impossible to hear each other, leading the weak wag among us to dream up a joke:
Q: What is the most common word spoken in Bottega Louie?
A: What?
Q: Oh, you've heard this already
Elena Faita
I drove to LA just for the Nutella beignets. I also love the Napoleons and the French baguettes. The food presentation is great!
Nandini Mazumdar
Great staff, beautiful decor (with high ceilings), and amazing food - the burrata and pesto gnocchi were my favorites! We also got the Margherita pizza and the bruschetta, which were delicious as well. The desserts are truly amazing, we love their macaron selection and the fruit tart.
Lily Dawis
Bright, brilliant, busy, noisy.
High ceiling but echoes.
Best for casual hanging out, not so great for any serious business talks coz we'd need to lean in/talk over the noise which exert more energy than necessary.
Food and drinks beautiful and yummy. Had pizza and salad earlier trips. This time had the avocado & chorizo toast which was a combination I never tried before and found delicious. Coconut italian soda was a good combo with it too. Section up front by the bakery/bar quicker wait as people normally just eat their desserts there.
TIPS: for take aways from bakery ask anyone behind the counter for a little note card filled with pretty macaroons then you could tick the macaroons you want and flip the page for your other bakery/gift selections. Head to the cashier, pay and wait.
Dar B.
Brilliant food, scrumptious deserts and patisserie! Dined here time and time again and it’s simply glorious! Especially the hot fresh beignets, pizza tartuffo and macaróns.
Josh Watts
I found the service to be excellent and restaurant well organized and clean. The meals were delicious and made with fresh ingredients. The pastries and desserts are well worth the money so save your appetite after dinner!
Linda Lockwood
Scroumpousness in one bite! The macaroons are..."to live for." You must at least once...splurge-a-bit! Louie's worth it. You feel like you've been SOMEPLACE very very special.
When you're downtown L. A., you owe it to yourself this "experience." If we eat with our eyes...(and we do) this place is a variable feast.
You enter marble halls...pass the vibrantly colored fresh macaroons (to gold leafed chocolates that rivaled Europe's best)...pass the open pizza kitchen (if you can) to the back tables for FOOD.
The restrooms are a must see they are so beautifully done.
It's like being "transported" to France, just walking off the street.
Waiter was delightful. Messed up the order...but totally made up for it!
We left with boxes of assorted fresh macaroons and gold chocolates and some other concoctions that were delicious. Each bite at home brought back memories of an evening well spent...first The Ahmanson Theater's production of The Temptations and then dinner and DESERT(S) at Bottega Louie.
On my top 10 Best Dessert Restaurants List! ♡

Upscale cafe style hangout with a bar and full restaurant in the back. Very friendly staff. Got seated for 2 pretty fast on a friday night. The pizza was delicious. They also have a variety of desserts to choose from in the bakerie section
Natalia D Lau
Love the service. They are very friendly. Food comes very fast. The truffle pizza was so great. Also, the prosciutto things with the cheese and the potato thing was perfect. Love it.
Jasmin Hussain
Exquisite place. Friendly employees. The princess cake is a true delight for chocolate lovers. The milk chocolate mouse smoothly melts on your tongue and goes well with the dark chocolate coat. Hidden surprise on the bottom is a red velvet macaroon. The latte is deliciously milky, no need for sweetener. The pastries and coffee lives up to the fancy prices. I'm sure the lunch / dinner cuisine will too.
HsuSheng Kao
Best desert in DTLA! Must try their signature Beignet donuts; if you also want to spend your brunch time here, Smoked salmon Benedict is the choice.
Note. They will charge you a 4% Benefits Surcharges for all the bill.
Marissa Berrini
Always a beautiful experience! The staff is incredible and always attentive. The food is DELICIOUS! Plus the sweet treats make a perfect gift for someone special, including yourself! 🤗 …
Suzy Ruiz
Passed by late at night to grab a pastry and coffee over the weekend. All their pastries are devine. So flavorful and each molded to perfection! I've never been disappointed. Had the hazelnut delight and cherry blossom, both were amazingly tasty. Highly recommend if you've never been here before.
Elizabeth Peotter
Went on the recommendation of a friend for brunch. Can absolutely endorse for both tourists and locals. Loved the cocktail menu and the food menu, but of course the star was the baked goods (not pictured because they were devoured). The salted caramel eclairs were so good that I went back and bought more for my staff. Wonderful food and great service guarantee that I will be back.
Mayumi
Brunch is my favorite here! They have a really nice avocado toast and waffle. Eggs Benedict and lobster scramble are close seconds. Be sure to check out the tartufo pizza as well (lunch and dinner)- it has a soft egg baked into it, that they drizzle over the top of the pizza when it gets to your table!
Katherine Yan
This place is always amazing. The setting is classy and spacious, the food is beautiful and delicious, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Love coming here for a brunch with friends and picking up some baked goods on the way out.
Patrick Mckenzie
90% of the time we just eat in the lounge and although it seems busy at first the service is always prompt and the food is excellent

Convenient inexpensive valet parking. You enter inside a totally open space, high ceilings the, the happiness factor emerges as you explore the never ending pastry display of delicious items. On the center of it all, a beautiful carved desk, behind it, smiling hostesses diligently working on your table, even the waiting time feels good, so much to see and then is the bar, the variaty of drinks will keep you entertained. A must place to go when in downtown LA

I have visited both during the day and during the evening. I do enjoy the ambiance during their dinner hours a bit more, the dim lighting is really nice. I have always been greeted by friendly wait staff. My favorite dish is the Trenne, which I paired with their Moscato D’Asti Cizano Spumante.. I have also enjoyed their pizzas and Caprese Salad in the summer. The patisserie side is very cute too! Their macarons are always a must, but their raspberry choux is my favorite. I have had a couple of their parfait-style verrine! Bottega Louie is definitely a stop I make during every trip to LA!
Dominika Niculescu
Delicious... I love this bakery/restaurant. The restaurant is very classy. The sweets look like art pieces. I would recommend to visit this place during the weekdays unless you like crowded and loud environment. It is must to visit in LA.
Ana Estrada
Breakfast there was wonderful, the menu is pricey but is worth it as the food is fresh, and delicious. Service was friendly. The fresh market eggs were excellent! The bakery too! The place is quite loud which made it a bit hard to converse.
Carola Enriquez
This place is awesome. People in the restaurant call you by name. Food and service are great. Just make sure you get all your carryout items. It gets crazy behind the to go counter.
Daniel K
If you want fancy desserts in at a fancy place, Bottega Louie is the place for you.
The interior is absolutely amazing. White marble everywhere, everything is clean, and the staff are very professional and friendly. During my time there, I noticed the cleaning crew constantly wiping the windows that displayed the food and sweeping anything visible off the floor. Insane.
If you're coming just for desserts, the only downside is that your seating is limited to the small tables in the cocktail area vs the large tables in the dining area. While it's not a big deal if it's just you and your date, it can feel a bit cramped if your party is any bigger.
The desserts are pretty good too! My girlfriend and I got the tiramisu cake and 5 macarons. We really enjoyed everything, but what really sets Bottega apart is their packaging. When I opened the boxes, it felt like I was opening a new iPhone.
It's definitely pricey, but I would recommend any of their cakes.
Danny P.
I like the environment as soon as you walk in. It looks very clean and organized.
I saw a couple take picture alongside the cakes then walk-out. Instagram picture? Haha
I Purchased Macaron and Tiramisu cake. I was not a fan of Macaron but loved the Tiramisu cake. Thumbs up on that one.
Chris Nichols
Man, when you are drunk, it’s late and you are hungry, you go here. You order a pizza, a bunch of water and a key lime pie and you are good to go another round. This place is crowded but the staff is always friendly. The food is good but don’t expect it to change your life- that is what an LA therapist is for. You go to this place for a handful of substance with a punch of style.
Diana Park-Alford
Absolute favorite breakfast spot in DTLA. Parking across the street in the lot for $7. Go before 11 to not wait forever. Salmon benedict is the best thing on the menu. Lobster hash is great as well. Take him 13 macaroons at least. Service is impeccable bit this last visit was a slow process.
Yana Grishchuk
Rather noisy place, but I love it. European vibes, delicious deserts.
Table by the window is great.
Shabana Ahmad
OMG! If you are ever in downtown Los Angeles and want a fabulous place for breakfast or a place to stop for an amazing dessert this is the place to go. I wish I had gone the night before so I could have indulged in another dessert. I had the Smoked Salmon Benedict for breakfast and it was made to perfection. It was a toss up between that and the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes (I'll be having those on my next visit) but since I had decided to take tartettes to go I went with the Benedict. The tartlets by the way Amazing and I cannot empathize the word amazing enough. Super glad I found this gem, it is now a must visit on all future trips to LA! Judging by the amazing options on their menu I'll be planning a number of visits! Thank you to all the staff for a great first experience.
Jorge Barragan
Delicious food and fantastic service. The burger was excellent, as well as the macaroons.
Mario Munoz
Food was delicious. Service was good. Very clean. A bit pricey for what it is but would go again, just not frequently.
Francesco Rosa
One word Recommended! It's hard to find a good all-around restaurant and this is one of them.
Huge open space, all white and bright, servers really attentive and friendly.
Good for families.
Must have: Truffle Pizza.
Na Li
Hands down one of the prettiest restaurant in downtown LA. I've been there couple of times and each time the dining experience was just great. Although the dessert price is kinda of high but it does pretty worth the penny.
Bottega Louie is such a pretty restaurant, the decor was super sophisticated. The food is always very fresh and creative, display is no words for it, the floor window is huge so it's great for people watching while dining here.
The dessert gallery was so impressive I can not make a decision whatsoever, you actually would want to order one of each. The design of each dessert is so artistic, too beautiful to eat. Price is on the high end, but order couple of pieces is not bad at all.
It's one of my favorite place to visit. Parking is bit a hassle, but it's pain worth having.
Highly recommended and will go back again.
Alex Morales
The consistency of a delicious meal. It's never failed to deliver. Salads, apps, pizzas, you name it. I shared calamari and meatballs with friends as we waited for our pizza to share.
Kemba Esmond
Enjoyed dining at Bottega Louie and look forward to returning for another tasty meal when back in LA.
Kyle Drake
Stopped by for some Macaron’s and a cocktail. Both were phenomenal! The service and presentation are top notch!
Irene F
This was my first visit. Nice decor. I came here for the macarons but ended up having lunch because there was no wait. We ordered lobster hash and portabello fries based on recommendation from the waiter. The food was good albeit a little pricey for the portion size. Our waiter was friendly and service was quick.
Francisco Arias
It is pricey, but the food is very well made. I ordered the steak salad and it was delicious, very small portion, but a lot of flavor. Portobello fries are really good too.
Sierra
Not always the best service but the food is really good. Highly recommend brunch on the weekends. It's always really busy and they don't take reservations so keep that in mind.
Sulaf Zaini
Delicious, varied, enjoyable, everything about it is perfect. Worth a visit. You will never get tired of this place.
Gabriel Vazquez
Amazing place to grab a coffee and some pastries. Beautiful variety of French Macarons, layered dough and gâteaux.
Definitely try the Earl Gray french macaron and the Goat Cheese & Honey.
Nancy-Kathryn Albert
Best macaroons! When I tasted them I had to buy the entire collection and had my fiance try them. He was amazed! Will DEFINITELY come back and buy more
L Lee
Just came here for quick coffee and dessert. I’ll have to come back here to try their dinner menu! Love the desserts and interior. Located in the center of downtown.
Mathew Medina
Nice design but food is average. Your paying for atmosphere/location. Dined with 4 other guests. We all got something different. 1 salad, 3 pastas, and 1 pizza. Will not return. Tried the bakery and the macaroons were good but over priced as well. Restaurant Service is good not great. Bakery Service is great.
Chris Ginnaven
I stopped in to Botegga Louie a few days ago to buy some of their macaroons for Christmas gifts. It was my first time downtown since Covid began and even though downtown was not as busy as before it was still nice to see some signs of life returning to the city. I return to the office at least part time very soon and I look forward to going back to Botegga Louie for lunch when conditions allow.
Audrey Min
Love this place. Such beautiful interior designs and the food is great. I love their dessert selection, although a bit pricey, the flavors are definitely there. I will say that it is a bit loud in there but a definite must try if you're in the area.
Andrew Breece
Nice interior design and delicious lunch and brunch options. Pizza is made fresh to order and worth the calories. The souffle pancake was amazing and worth the cost increase over the waffle. Our whole party really liked the smoked salmon eggs Benedict, and the egg could not have been more perfectly poached.
Darren Battaglia
Good, if unimaginative desserts and breakfast items. Who doesn't serve lemon ricotta pancakes? Table service was confused. Maitre d' was stand offish. He refused to seat us at 230 unless we ordered from brunch menu (why not sit at table with drinks until kitchen staff ready at 3?). Not worth the hype nor the prices. I know macaroons take a long time to make and almond are expensive, but... Crispy and savory portobello fries saved the day.
Tanvi Korday
Great selection of pastries and macaroons.
Dria Washington
Came here from Chicago for breakfast and it was delicious! Highly recommend the potatoes and French toast.
Danielle Swafford
This is the most aesthetically pleasing restaurant/cafe I’ve ever eaten at. The food is delicious, the staff is wonderful, and the desserts are so pretty! I just wish the building was larger since there are so many patrons.
Annette Goh
Clean chic and pretty dessert. This restaurant is huge
Arshiya Sana
Decent food but overpriced. Pizza is a fair deal and they make it in front of you (depending on where you are seated). Place has a warehouse feel which is not appealing and gets very loud. Was underwhelmed by the quite expensive coffee cake dessert. Service was good and ample parking across the street in the garage. Didn’t try the bakery it looked good (but again pricy) Overall an average place that I wouldn’t recommend highly
Rahul Rajeev
Bottega Louie is a gem of an establishment in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. Serving amazing desserts/macaroons to coffee to great small plates, you'll have to try real hard to get out of here without a fat check! ($$$) That being said, the portobello fries and pesto gnocchi are astonishingly great, but the real game changer is the CHOCOLATE SOUFFLE. It will quite literally change your life!
Ashlie Dao
Great service and perfect macarons. Highly recommend earl grey and salted caramel.
Grahame Elder
Bottega Louis is clearly one of the best dining spots in Los Angels. The menu is excellent and delicious. The quality is absolutely fantastic. I could easily eat there every day and be very happy. Well done keep up your excellent standards.
Ignasi Mas
Food is good, and reasonably priced (portions are rather generous, eg. Pizza). Their bakery section is nice, but more expensive than the restaurant menu. Waiters are helpful and nice. BUT the restaurant has a big issue with ambient noise, it is too loud (even when it is mostly empty)
Alan Wu
Great place to stop by! Feels high end with reasonable price.
Ev
The food was sooo good. We had french toast, lemon ricotta pancakes, sausage and peppers, and roasted potatoes. The sangria was delicious. Our servers were friendly and very attentive. There is a little bit of a wait but we took that time to look over the menu. We were able to order or food and drinks together. Our food came out pretty quick too. Overall a very good experience.
Ryan Brolley
Great atmosphere, super friendly staff, service was precise and available. The food was phenomenal. We got the french toast and lemon risotto pancakes and they were pretty much the best I've had anywhere, and portions essentially enough for 2 meals.
Fraser Street
FOOD WAS QUITE GOOD - but not amazing, so I'm giving 4 stars. Arugula salad was bitter. Margherita pizza and Brussels sprouts were very good. Bread was excellent.
Jaci Cortez
It’s an amazing elegant atmosphere, great flavors, reasonable prices, and just beautiful elegant dessert designs!
Barry Shaffer
Fresh, vibrant and tasty! Been here several times, always busy and never disappointed with either the food or the service. Their brunch menu is my favorite and the Avacado toast is a must try.
Aviva Ebner
Admittedly, the 5 star rating is because of their desserts. I have dined here several times and can attest to the fact that most of their lunch entrees have large portions and are tasty. The only item to avoid is the trenne pasta, for which the description is a bit misleading (good luck finding more than a few tiny pieces of braised beef). The chicken dishes and salads are your best bet. But, save room for dessert, or just skip the meal and order dessert. The berry tarts are my personal favorites (it has fruit, so it's healthy, right?).
Zoe Johnson
Highly recommend this restaurant! We shared a few of the small plates and they were all amazing, and the dessert special (chocolate souffle) was outstanding. Friendly staff and plenty of seating too.
SJ Hosin
I am not a fan of the restaurant but the bakery has some of the best desserts I've had in the immediate 5 mile radius. The desserts are expensive and a bit small but pretty decadent. Will not say my favorite because I don't want them to run out of it when I visit.
Pablo Cravacuore
A must visit if you are in LA. Food, desserts andservice are always on point. Make sure to try the cocktails and the pizza. Will go back over and over.
Side note I would be careful with parking during the day. I paid $32 for 1:30 in the parking structure down the street, which left a sour taste in my mouth after having such a delicious meal.
Lindsey Smith
It's a really hyped place and so it can be a little crowded but the food is quality. Big fan ofnthe souffle in particular. They have lots of tables by the desserts/bar and you can order the souffle from the bar and enjoy at those tables rather than getting a dining table. That helps if you're just in and out to try the tasty stuff.
Alvin Wu
Desserts desserts and desserts...... the best desserts in LA are all in there. You will enjoy more if you chosse to take away so that you can enjoy the dessert in the more cozy enviroment. It is because the restaurant itself is overcrowded if it is full of guests. Table is so small, only good for placing dessert and they are too close to each other. Therefore, we could not enjoy chatting there.
Danny Mercado-Aguilar Jr
I had a great time yesterday. I was with family. Omar Josue F. Our server was absolutely amazing! I would definitely be coming back and ask for his section.
One downfall from the bar. When a glass is chipped, it's best not to pour the old drink in the new glass, as particles can also be transferred. It's best a fresh drink. That was the only disappointment I had, not to mention that same glass was being used, and I saw the gentleman return his drink in the same glass, because it was chipped.
Katherine then that, please give Omar my compliment.

The interior designs as well as meals and deserts of this restaurant are decent and wonderful! Glad to have this beautiful place in Downtown LA🥰 …
Dr. K Greene
My “never lets me down” spot for a celebration or taking out-of-town guests somewhere fun with a great vibe and delicious food.
sarah bonds
I can honestly say everything I have ever eaten here has been delicious. Truffle Pizza, Portobello Fries, Lattes, Croissants, Tiramisu, Grand dacquoise, and many macarons. The interior is beautiful. Feels like it was plucked out of Paris and put into center of Downtown LA.
Yesha Patel
The photographs speak volumes to the taste delivered in the Smoke Salmon Benedict and Lemon Ricotta pancakes. The macaroon was devine. Go check it out, words can't capture the essence here.
Rose Anne
Must have caesar salad & the fried portabella mushrooms. Great place to go w friends, although a bit loud to keep up w conversations across table. I Recomend!
Alexandra Las Vegas Realtor Nevada Realty Experts
Supper busy place, you might end up waiting for a table, but it is well worth it. First, admire their deserts displayed at the store front, those are sold separately and could be a great alternative if you don't have time or just looking for a cute present.
Restraint menu has all different deserts except for macaroons. NAPOLEON was the winner of the night. Gelato puffs and tart were ok.
PIZZA you must try it!!! Old style in the brick oven, it's a pleasure simply watching them make it.
antoinette rodney-celestine
Yummy macaroons and beignets. The macaroons are a treat to the eyes. They are so colorful. I am not a macaroon fan but these I would go back for again and again!
Sandra Mendoza
Love this place! Great menu. If the wait is too long in the dining area, wait in the cafe area and grab the first table that becomes available.
Just DeePee
My first time having brunch there and it was really good. I had the salmon eggs benedict. The portion was very generous and it was very tasty. I highly recommend it!
Soyoon Kum
Expensive, too many people (loud) so it was hard to talk with my friends. Desserts are awesome. Must try item is Portobello mushroom fries😁 …
Melissa Lucas
Beignets used to be much better before they decided to put less Nutella recently. Don't like the service fee - just raise your prices in order to pay your workers fairly. It's specifically cause of this fee I go much less than I used to.
AlexinCalgary C
Great atmosphere here. Food is wonderful, I had the salmon which was delicious. The deserts we had at our table were all to die for. Portions are quite generous so be sure to not fill up on bread in order to leave room for something for desert. Deserts are really share plates given the portions too. Visit and enjoy, you won't be disappointed.
Ron Khoury
Love the open kitchen.
The prices have risen through the years.
They changed the chef.
The brunch is fantastic.
Food is great.
Pinthita Klungmontri
Came for Early Morning Crossiant...
A bit under expected. Came in by 8.00 am for bekery and coffee, look like resturant not ready yet. When we walked in, no greeting.
Need to asked for what's available as it no price tag / food tag on the show case.
Ordered Chocolate crossaint and Monkey bread with latte. Everything just average.
Did not feel welcome / friendly at all in resturant .
Melody_mm
Ham croissant was great!
Rami Doueiri
Very delicious food, it is fresh and prepared in an open kitchen. They have an extensive dessert menu, and the napoleon is out of this world. The eclair was so so
Chris Cartwright
I had one of the best Salad Nicoise I've ever had. Service was warm & efficient. Desserts in the patisserie are Amazing!!!
John Kahwaty
The place can be a bit loud and it is a little over priced, but the food is really good. The tartufo pizza sounds weird on paper but is by far the most delicious pizza there. I've only ever been there for lunch but it is an easy enough place to get in and out in an hour.
Regina Armijo
Service is always excellent, and the cuisine is delectable. Popped in for some chicken parm and an iced tea. Enjoyed both! Ambiance is always lively at this location. Nice spot for desserts as well...check it out.
Melia Kelliher
Great location and the place have amazing ambiance. Staffs were friendly. Delicious lasagna and beautiful macaroons.
Ricardo Ramirez
A must stop when you are in DTLA. The food is cooked to perfection, and their pastries are phenomenal. Fast and prompt service, friendly waiters, and a great vibe. A great price, for what it is, and where it is.
Elio Lopez
This place is awesome. Came here for Brunch on Memorial Day. The staff was a bit short but they made it up with their attentive service. In terms of food: top notch. Had the farmers market scramble, my girls had the waffles and wife had the salmon Benedict. We also got coffee and hot chocolate. All around great food, great atmosphere. Totally recommend!
Eric Casas
My favorite breakfast place in Los Angeles. I had the lobster hash and it was really good! My wife always has the eggs Benedict and loves them every-time. We bring macaroons home and everybody loves them.
alex_lee_23
I love the open kitchen concept, inspiring view of the chefs working gracefully.. the steak and pasta were awesome, pizza wasn't too bad too.. definitely worth the visit, price is fair too..
Philip Khoury
Stunning patisserie counter full of treats from macaron, eclair, Petit gateaux, vienoisserie and confections to whet any sweet lovers appetite
Ankoor Desai
Salmon Eggs Benedict were delicious. Also ordered the Macroons for dessert. Great service and ambiance.
SDB SDB
Pastries are mid, at least the one I had. Looks beautiful but tastes like a whole pot of jam and costs 17$ w tax and tip.
Christine Pillos
Beautiful and tasty desserts. On the pricier side but experience was pleasant. Left is the Hazel crisp tart, the 2 cute little things are the chocolate tartlet and mixed berry tartlet. Soooooo yummmy!!
Oscar H. Fajardo
Lots of great treats to try out. Pizzas are the best in town. It can get crowded so come early and plan to wait at least 30 min to be seated .
Yvonne Lan
Got some croissants, macarons, and red velvet cake here. The macarons were delicious but the cake was just average.
Christina “N” Tui
Beautiful space and selection of desserts. I tried the raspberry beignets, chocolate eclairs and mushroom pizza on the restaurantside. I will be back for brunch again.
Milos Salaski
Luxurious looking environment, but staff really makes you feel welcomed and part of it. Just a little bit pricey I must say, but taking the location and quality of cakes, definitely worth it. Princess cake is recommendation ($30, but mor than enough for 3 people).
Hassan M
Had a fantastic meal and dessert. The pasta was fresh, delicious, and made as requested. The selection of macaroons is vast and they’re all made in-house. Excellent experience.
Andreas Steiner
Very good breakfast! All the classic breakfast from toast over eggs plates to different styles of egg benedict. Very bright and beautiful room with room high windows. Staff very friendly and quick. Excellent location.
Christabel Chuah
Barata cheese with pesto is good, monkey bread, chocolate croissant and the salmon bagel…. Perfect Italian breakfast!
Shirlay Schulist
Awesome food
Awesome atmosphere
Awesome service
The Cesar salad tasted great but I'm still convinced it wasn't Cesar dressing.
Defiantly a place to check out no doubt
Duong Nguyen
We had brunch and a pastry item. The omelette was perfectly done! The dessert spread looks amaxing so we're coming back for dessert. There's a cafe and restaurant and you can sit at the cafe for dessert!
Carmen Juarez
Food here is delicious. Servers are very friendly and attentive. Definitely returning.
Justin Legge
Delicious hand made dishes. Great service and atmosphere. I always love it when you can see the food being prepared.
All of our dishes were wonderful. Our hosts are in the tourism industry in Mendocino, and thought the quality of the wine selection was wonderful as well. They consider themselves self described wine snobs so that was a compliment.
Loved our dinner here.
Zuzana Votrubec
This is one of the best dessert shops in LA. I love the variety of amazing desserts, the class, the service, and the stellar experience. The macaroons are one of a kind and should be on everyone's list for a visit. We have always received efficient and quick service here and look forward to returning. Recommend getting take out desserts especially after drinking downtown.
Luca Giannini
Very nice place, expensive as every real restaurant in USA. Pizza was pretty good for being so far from Italy and a big choice of sweets and cake. Here some pics.
Amber M.A
Such a lovely atmosphere. Amazing pastries & the service was great. They have a dining area for dinner/lunch. We will be back
Jea Kim
Absolutely fell in love with this place on my first visit, but on my second visit, I noticed that the quality of food (esp. the visual presentation of food) had gone down. With a slight increase of price, I expected to experience the same quality of service and taste, but I was disappointed to find out that they failed to do so. Nonetheless, their lobster hash and salmon egg benedict is still one of the best you could get in LA, so it's definitely worth the visit.
Traci Tessone
Service was outstanding! Food was amazing and the decor/atmosphere is stunning! I'll be back!
Kaitara Cullum
The staff were quite friendly and were as speedy as possible, given that it was so busy. The coffee was excellent, and my husband absolutely loved his pizza. My lobster hash was only okay. It came out lukewarm, and was not particularly flavourful. The lemon ricotta pancakes were pleasant, but not very flavourful, either.
K. Mo
Great food and service. They have two homemade pasta options that are very good. Chocolate Soufflé is worth the 20 min wait, and our server brought free macaroons while we waited for the desert.
Trojan Fanatic
Talk about spoiling yourself, Bottega Louie is a place you come to taste the better things in life. The minute you walk in; you are met by their beignet display case; you also have an immediate view of multiple macaroon flavors that can order at the counter and watch as they craftfully wrap them up for you in a fancy box with ribbon and all. All their other desserts sure do look good also. Take a stroll to their bar area and order yourself your favorite adult drink and forget all your worries and take it all in, you deserve this special treat. Cheers & enjoy!
Cherrie
Went for a drink and dessert, and couldn't resist a snack also. The appetizer was worth it, a short rib beef raviolo. Pear martini was good (though the pear slice itself was so tart I couldn't eat it, odd!) We wanted the lemon tart - the mini was $12, and the full size one was $20, so we decided to just buy the full one, eat what we wanted, and take home the rest haha no regrets at all.
It's always such a lovely place, we sat at the bar and the service was great.
Kevin Aguigui
The food was excellent! The pizza I had was awesome and the baked brussel sprouts were delicious.
wilfrid pavageau
Huge space, could b à bit noisy perhaps. Waiters very nice. Very good wine list. Beautiful salad I took and then octopus, with Beans (perhaps à bit dry).
Lucia Ly
Great food, definitely recommend the small plates, they're like tapas so you can get a few different things and share.
Steve P
Food is delish. Service is friendly and quick. Make sure you try their portabello fries and pizza, and of course their beignets and macarons.
Nik
This huge place offers luxury dining for breakfast with excellent service to compliment the top quality food. Parking is available across the street for about $12. Highly recommended.
Zeen Absolute
Go here and eat/drink at the bar... Fantastic service and some really solid drinks... Plus the baked goods are top notch.
Jonathan Turner
This place is live and bustling with business. The upscale museum like atmosphere is very open with very high ceilings. I ordered the salmon which is marketed as Scottish king salmon. The pan seared salmon was very well prepared on a bed of farro, haricot verts, breakfast radish, candy cane beets & carrot vinaigrette. The taste was delectable. The waitress was pretty and friendly and the rest of the service was great. Definitely want to come again and try another dish.
Trí Nguyễn
It's fancy here. We popped a bottle to go with the brussle sprout and fried mushrooms. The atmosphere is enjoyable except, it can get really noisy within the restaurant because of the acoustic.
Robert L. Lam
Fantastic carbonara as recommended by the waiter. Bacon was crispy and pasta al dente. The only down side is the fact that during lunch time the restaurant becomes really loud. Overall I enjoyed my lunch there.
Scott Lawrence Lawson
I only have been here for the macaroons, which are the best in LA. They have dozen and a half flavors and a specialty flavor of the month. The Earl Grey is fantastic! These are boxed super fancy and are great for a gift.
Marcus Rosti
The macarons here were some of the best I've had. Not as good as Olivia Macarons in Georgetown, DC but still decadent. We also got cocktails that were fairly good if not we'll balanced.
We spent about an hour here just relaxing and nibbling and it made a great spot to rest. The ceilings are so high I've never seen any like that. The bar was gorgeous and it included and open kitchen. I loved the simple elegant and gold plated design. It was both ritzy and understated.
Dejanira Asencio
Loved the restaurant, food, drinks, and atmosphere.
Joseph Norman
Went there for dinner. The service and the decor were great except that the sound proofing was really bad. However, the noisiness was compensated by the good food. We ordered a pizza, a pasta, a pork chop and most importantly the signature macaroon and the tiramisu which didn't disappoint at all!
Service was friendly and food and pastries appealing both to the eyes and the palates.
While the restaurant itself is gorgeous and fun, be advised it is loud, crowded and rushed. Check-in table is in the middle of the restaurant and is a little chaotic.
Errol Isip
Even better than DTLA location. The service and staff were amazing. Lovely outdoor seating. Such a great place to have lunch or dessert!
Earthy PS
Hands down. The food, desserts and ambience were fantastic! Recommend going there during breakfast / lunch during the weekday otherwise the queue could be over half an hour during dinner.
Gene Bur
The atmosphere is beat, service great, wait times brief, and food came surprisingly quickly. Their desserts are on point because they have strong flavours and aren't too sweet. Alas, the food was mediocre, especially for the price point. The Portabello fries were a mistake as one couldn't taste any of the mushroom while the pasta wasnt anything ordinary. I wish instead of pickled artichokes, they used fresh ones and the bread they served wasn't laying around cold. I'm not familiar with pasta in LA but I'd think if you come for flavour then there must be something a tad better. On the other hand, perhaps we just didn't order the right dishes. Try it out, see what you think.
David “57” S
I ordered the chicken parmigiana and the fish and the pizza w/ truffle; all according to the recommendation from the server. The food is just OK to my likings, except for the pizza is quite good.
Jessie-Rose Pimentel
Amazing Italian food and great service. Best brushetta I've ever had. No need for reservations and very comfortable dining.
Keira Chu
Concept reminds us of Eataly in New York City - delicious high-quality food in a gorgeous setting with excellent service. Love, love, love.
Ірина Сизоненко
It is rather noisy and crowdy. Not what we initially expected. The food is very good, collection of cakes is phenomenal.
Niesha Walker
This place is beautiful! The ambiance is quite nice. I had dinner by myself so I sat the bar. I ordered the chicken dinner and it was quite good. The biscuit was to die for, the breaded chicken was amazing and the coleslaw was good. You have to try it!!
karina paredes
This is the Artichoke pizza. I get it without cheese cause I’m lactose. I’ve come here many times before when I was eating meat and dairy , the pizza with fennel sausage was my go to!
Coming back as a non meat eater and dairy free the pizza was of course... just as good!
I only gave four stars because customer service is key to me and it was not the best this particular day.
But it’s an honest 5 stars when it comes to quality & taste!
The location is very central LA. I always park in the structure near by!
They have much more than pizza but that’s my favorite thing to get!
Marlene Plumley
One of two of my favorite restaurants in the entire city and perhaps the US. I found Bottega Louie Restaurant and Gourmet Market 4 years ago on my first trip to LA.
I love, love, love this place. It's a simple white decor and the food is exceptional. The pastry shop is none other I've experienced. Today they measured up with a smoked salmon eggs benedict. I have eaten a lot of eggs benedict and I am going on record as saying this was the BEST I've ever eaten. The differentiating factor, other than the smoked salmon, was it was served on a small bed of shredded potatoes and not the typical English muffin. This was perfection!
The only downside is the noise (they could use some acoustic tiles; 74dD at 10:30am). I came here for dinner 2 years ago and my ears were ringing when we left. Hazards of marble floors, square walls and ceilings and wood and leather furnishings; nothing to absorb sound.
Zoey Koffin
This is one of my favorite spots to visit when I'm in the area. Whether you're going with friends or want to treat yourself to some coffee and some macaroons, it's worth the trip. The lobby is set up where you can go in and sit down near the bakery side. They don't take reservations so its first come, first served. There's menus on the table and someone will usually come serve you. But if you want the full experience, I suggest you walk over to the hostess to be seated in the actual dining area. Sitting next to the pizza station is a lot fun because occasionally they throw the dough in the air, so it's entertaining to see. However when its busy they are more focused on getting the food out. Whenever I go, I ask if Chef Luna is working. He is my favorite chef because he puts a lot of love into his food, you can taste the quality he puts out. The pastries are as good as they look, and that's saying something!
Dee Brown
Excellent service. Food was excellent. Saw pictures and decided to try for breakfast. You will not be disappointed.
Lou Werbe
Ordered 3 boxes of 45 macaroons and told them that I would be shipping them, as BL doesn't provide shipping anymore. I think I know why they discontinued the service...... This is how they arrived. But they tasted fantastic!!!!!!! 👍😀 …
tori holder
Everything is exquisite. Their Saint Honnore might be one of my all time favorite desserts. Also nice that if you're just popping in for sweets you can order at the counter and seat yourself as opposed to waiting for a dinner table.
Miss Megan (Somegnificent)
Typical extravagantly fancy restaurant. But they still get orders wrong. Over $100 on takeout and order was missing items.
Marjorie Panameno
I love the whole decor and vibe it gives! Would love to eat there again.
Valerie N.
It was ok. The service seemed one sided since I don't look like the type of customer they normally serve. From the time I went to the check in desk, to being greeted by my server, I felt I was judged by the way I was dressed.
At the table, I was checked on only once, while the party of 3 guys next to me got tons of attention and checked on several times. I left a $5 tip on a $20 meal, and the guys next to me pulled about $8 dollars tip on a meal that clearly looked to be about $100 or more for the server.
I guess she expected more, because when she went to collect the tip, she looked really bummed. I hope she learned to focus on all her tables, instead of the ones that look like they have money, and she will make more tips from the customers that have come to enjoy the experience, and will tip accordingly.
Aimee Miller
Boisterous and busy this is a must stop for visitors. Pizzas are authentic and beignets are super surprise. Watermelon salads refreshes and grilled octopus are great for sharing.
Rho G
One of my favs in town. Good food and service all around. Lamar did a great job at the bar.
Awesome DJ
Love the ambience and the desserts!! Not too many options to dine but the bar and bakery superb!!
晞Mike
nice food and excellent service. Friendly staff also. Definitely come back again.
Jillian Smith
Bottega Louie is a must eat in downtown LA. There is always a wait for a table for a reason. The food is amazing. After you eat your delicious dinner do yourself a favor and grab some desserts on your way out. The macaroons were out of this world. I love cheesecake and Bottega Louie did not disappoint.
Lana
nice overall ambiance with very good sunlight!
Ashley Polidore
There's always a buzz here on the weekends... Great for small or large groups who want to catch up, eat, drink and dessert! Full bar, great 🍷wine selection, incredible 🍕pizza... Perfect for sharing. There's a $7 lot nearby for parking. …
anita angel
Post visit to the Broad, friends shared this wonderful restaurant with me. Lobster hash and Louie with blue crab were very good. Be sure to save room for the magnificent, yummy desserts. Staff friendly and extremely attentive.
Hamayun Nawaz
Poor acoustics, hard to talk to someone sitting across the table from you. Great desserts.
Good weight staff, I like the attention to aesthetics
Ashley Villa
Went late night for desert and drinks. Desert was amazing! Drinks were pretty good as well. I was in town on vacation and bought their Dark Chocolate toffee and it’s now my favorite chocolate! Super sad that I won’t be able to have it for a while. Will definitely go back and buy loads of it !!!
encalio trax
Super stylish place with a decent selection of breakfast. Love the coffee art and desserts! This place is all about dessert and sweets!!! Love it :-)
Savannah
Louie is good, but that's it. I love really cheesy pizza and sweet deserts and I feel like Louie does these things incredibly well- but they're boring! The formula of a well done low risk menu works great as a repeatable downtown dinner expirence for locals, but if you're just visiting Los Angeles I feel there are zesty unique options all over the city that are just so much more interesting.
If you do give Louie a try ask if the chocolate souffle is around- It's iconic and delicious.
Koa Smith
Amazing place to go attend lunch when in LA. Food was amazing.
Francesca
The atmosphere and service is very nice, it reminds me of a caffe in a famous plaza in italy somewhere. I only ate a dessert and had some mint tea here. It was overpriced and the flavor of the dessert it was far from being good. It takes more than looks and sugar to make a good desert.
Daniel Gaston
Outstanding event for my daughters birthday and parents 45 wedding anniversary
Verenetta Johnson
The food was exceptional!!! Atmosphere perfect. We even ordered dessert and it was amazing as well. 5 stars. Highly recommend!!
Maria Strizhova
I cannot image to go somewhere else for desert! Just look at this beauty! Everything fresh and tasty, in style! You will find here desert of your dreams!

Bottega Louie…such a great place to go with a date or a small group of friends. It’s quite loud and crowded, very New York like. I’ve never been to New York, but this is exactly how I would imagine it to be. You’re immediately drawn in by all the cute little pastries because there’s so much to look at and so many different colors. They have a bar if all you want to do is drink. The food was de-lish. You must try the portobello fries, but I definitely recommend sharing this with at least 2 to 3 people. We shared the lamb chops and lasagna, both really good. Overall, this is an absolute must, you will not regret it!

I went mid afternoon and it was not too busy. I think that is the best time to go. It is such a large space, I imagine it would get very noisy during prime time.
The food was good, but a bit pricey. The pastries were beautiful however not as tasty as I would have liked.
Jungsik Lee
Bottega Louie is not only famous for desserts, but their food is also very tasty. They also have open bar. But they dont have designated parkinglot so you need to park on the street, valet, or in the structure.
Jessica Chung
Always crowded on the weekends. Lunch on weekdays have no wait line. Good selection of deserts!! Their bread is really good too.
Debbie Nik
Went to get dessert after dinner, and the desserts were fantastic, creme brûlée was perfectly made, fruit tart was yummy, bought a few treats for tomorrow!
Update: the macarons don't live up to the hype, the birthday cake macaron had no flavour, and the shell felt harder than a usual macaron, I've had way better.
Andrew Parsons
Recommend here for the amazing deserts. Mains are good too so good for meal. But it is a large place and very noisy
Yasmina R
Delicious pastries, macaroons and coffee in a fancy decor.
Chelo Regalado
This has to be one of the best places to get pastries! It on the pricey side but well worth every penny. Definitely coming back. The service was fast considering it was super busy.
Jason Ma
Great environment as well as great food. The mushroom pizza is really good.
Bassem Naifar
Good atmosphere the food is good enough to eat. But the place looks more like tourists attraction than a restaurant
Jonathan Phan
Great date night place. Come early to wait for a table and checkout the macarons and try the coffee.
C Mielke
Great experience! Delicious pizza & pasta! Great variety of French pastry desserts!
Steven Mon
We ordered a pizza, linguini, and lots of appetizers, so that we can taste more dishes. It was all very yummy; especially the deserts.
Rob Review
Every time i visit LA for work, I go to Bottega for lunch. Their Cobb Salad is one of my favorites! I feel less guilty eating a few macarons on my way out, if I have a salad! Their macarons are great, as well!

Very tasty food, great atmosphere, wonderful service
Erik Chung
Avocado toast, bruschetta, trenne, and a pizza to top it off. Very good food
Vanessa Garcia
Love coming here! The food is always delicious and the ambience is breath taking. You feel like you're in another world once you step in, away from the dirty city surrounding the restaurant. The ceilings are high and the marble counter tops are fabulous. The dessert case is spectacular and the large host desk screams opulence. It's a great place to take a date or out of towner. The prices are reasonable and dress code is relaxed, but you can also dress up. I highly recommend the Modena salad

So good! Been here a couple of times and always been a great time. Friendly staff, food is always delicious and there was not much of wait this holiday weekend. We got the mushroom fries(which are sooo good), the meatballs al carte, Italian salad and a couple of fish dishes and pasta dishes. All tasted amazing. And I just had to get some macarons on the way out. Those are my favorite.
Xiaoran Yang
Went there for lunch! They got very good cakes and toast!
Isela Contreras
Is a place totally different to what you would expect from the photos. It is super nice and cool but still casual and comfortable. The service team is always kind and the food is good.
Confetti Darling
A must stop anytime I'm in DTLA. We go here for their amazing brunch and service. The eggs benedict and bacon never disappoint. Save room for dessert or take some home! Their pastries here are gorgeous and can be wrapped to go. There can be a little bit of a wait on the weekends, so get there early.
Henry Crawford
Honestly it was not what I was expecting. Everything looked great but the execution was a bit lacking. The macarons are small and the shells are dry. Definitely not up to expectation for a French macaron.
Lindsey Scopel
Pleasantly surprised by this gem in the middle of LA. The tuna tartare: so light but complex on the palette. Burrata pizza... everything it should be. Giant raviolo a good experience. Service was A+. And the dessert...order it, obviously! Macarons to go - a must.
Frank Padilla
Love this place for their amazing lasagna... Also check out the portobello fries, they are to die for.
Hector Guevara
I have to say it has to be pretty difficult to mess us a pizza, and the arugula pizza does not mess that up! This is a tasty pizza that does not disappointed. Don't let the fancy names scare you off, you won't be disappointed with what you order! I would off added a picture of the cookie I got but I ate that before I noticed!
Sarita Alston
This gem of a restaurant offers a welcoming, chic atmosphere. I ordered and LOVED the lobster hash. But the dishes ordered at every table nearby made me feel like I couldn’t go wrong with anything.
Shihho Yu
Beautiful restaurant with many gorgeous desserts. Always packed. Desserts were too sweet, but Napoleon was good.
Andrew Loaiza
One of the premier restaurants in Downtown LA. With it's variety of food (from poultry to lamb to seafood and everything in between, even brick oven pizza) and the busy atmosphere, Bottega is the place to bring your friend from out of town when you're trying to impress them. Known for it's celebrity sitings and fancy cars out front, the real showstopper is the Portobello Fries appetizer. Simply delicious with a fantastic dipping sauce to boot. Even if you don't have time (or can't afford, let's be real, it's pretty steep) dining at Bottega, you must stop and try a Macaron or two, or five. These delectable desserts are pretty pricey themselves, but totally worth it.

The best brunch I have ever ate😍 Wonderful foods, good service, and really good environment! …

Could not take more photos because it was a business dinner. This place is a little on the pricier side. The food was alright but not as amazing i thought it'd be for the atmosphere and price of this place. The staff are friendly and the place is bigger than it looks. The servers are a little slow but thats probably because it does get very crowded and busy. Its very clean and pretty. They do not take reservations because it can seat so many people in here, but it does get extremely busy. All parties must be at the restaurant to be seated, which makes sense. Its a first come first serve restaurant. Though they should implement reservations for big parties.Everything in the restaurant, including staff, appear as though it's an elegant restaurant but thats just purely aesthetic. The food is alright but not amazing. Its a good place to go for business because it looks so classic but that's it. Definitely not worth to go to enjoy and eat amazing food.
Bailey Orozco
Great food and vibes but the desserts are just a whole different level. See attached photos!
Mari Alexis
Expensive but worth a special occasion! The pizza is soooo good! The souffle pancake was the best I’ve EVER had. The chocolate soufflé is to DIE FOR! The risotto balls are amazing. Everything I’ve had here has been incredible and it’s a really cute restaurant in general. Highly recommend.
Kelly Holland Fitzgibbons
Called in an order for takeout and was not disappointed. Selected a box of macarons while waiting (they are unbelievable.) Pasta Cabonara with pappardelle noodles was filling but not too heavy on the sauce, and the burrata / tomato small plate was refreshing.
David Pettengill
Good atmosphere. Mediocre bread served directly on the dirty table. Odd. Caesar salad was good but oddly sweet. Bolognese was good. Service was unfriendly and inconsistent. Reaching over guests to occasionally take away plates etc. had to beg for refills. And not half full restaurant. Most irritating: while every other establishment on earth has removed the ridiculous vaccine passport mandate these guys insist on sharing your private medical info. But your safe because there’s no masks and no visible extra cleaning measures. Ridiculous and patronizing.
Cris Barkmeier
It’s absolutely delightful! I’ve been here multiple times and it’s always perfect. Great food and service!
gloria pierce
Ambiance is loud and busy, which I like! Food is great. Hostess could be at some point rude and dismissive but servers definitely pick up their slack with their great customer service and great disposition.
Bela Mhasavade
Nice ambience! Great drinks, variety of macaroons n pastries. Loved it!
Jdeo B
Had a great lunch here in December. The food was creative and well made. The wine paired nicely. My server made a few mistakes, but she made up for it by being very friendly and attentive. Even the hostess was memorable for being so friendly and polite. Highly recommend Bottega for anyone looking for a nice lunch in downtown LA.
Huck Green
Good atmosphere, food was good. What you would expect from an Italian/wood fire pizza place. Came in with a big party and the server was nice and friendly but the host and manager seemed upset we were a party over 6 asking to be sat together. Friendlier service and this could easily be a 5 star review.
Vinny Tran
Good FOOD, Good services, Good atmosphere, deserved expensive price tag … almost got 5 stars from me but hostess at first sitting us next to the toilet LOL even though there are plentiful available places to sit next to widows.
Parag Medhe
Great selection of dessert. I especially liked the Fruit Tart and Tiramisu. They also have a good selection of coffees
Alexandra Dayrit
Such a great place to have a fancy breakfast. It's very loud and busy on the weekends but has a great atmosphere.

If you are in DTLA and want a little fancy lunch or dinner....this is your spot. First trip here I ordered the burger and fries ($18) and it was DELICIOUS and HUGE! My waiter was the sweetest guy ever and he was very well informed on the menu and gave me some suggestions.
My second trip here I brought my sister and she loved this place! We ordered the Tartufo Pizza ($25). I am not a fan of mushrooms but woooahh was I impressed. Waiter brings the pizza that has a sunny side up egg in the middle and he broke the yolk for us and drizzled it all over the pizza beautifully. For dessert we ordered a lemon cheesecake and blueberry shooter ($11) and the gold pieces on it made it so fancy and pretty.
This spot is definitely worth it even with the prices being a little high for their burger and stuff but once you see the sizes and flavors.....you'll be happy you made the trip and you will plan the next<3

I have been in Bottega many times, which is one of my favorite Italian restaurants. Unfortunately, this time our waiter was pretty absent. I took my niece visiting from Switzerland and we enjoyed our food, the service was not good. We got our check when we didn't even ask for it. We were not even asked if we wanted dessert or coffee which should be customary.
Wendy Van Savage
The food is great. The restaurant is a little loud. They have a pizza oven out in the common area.
Wei C
I love their bakery. There are different choices. All nice and romantic. They have a wall of macaroons with bright colors. You are guaranteed to find something you like there.
Vargha Payandeh
Beautiful place! Great food. And absolutely yummy dessert! Must try. I have only tried the west Hollywood branch and am looking forward to the downtown one soon
Viy Song
too sweet, service need to be improved, price is okish
Mansour Haidary
The food is very good but I removed one star because of the attitude of the waiter, he put a fake smile on his face but all of the staff are very rude and impolite
Maria Rodriguez
An outstanding Lemon Drop! 🍋 Will definitely return! Don't forget to try the pastries.
Rocío Ureña
The food is delicious but it’s sooo loud inside. It’s hard to have conversations with the echo in the room. Painful.

This review is for the bar. Staff were attentive and friendly. I yried several drinks on the menu - all were great, original. We ordered multiple desserts and some to go ... all orders were handled and packed with care. We enjoyed the experience. Cheers to the great bar staff!
Jen Stiling
I love this place and look forward to treating myself to it.
Brunch is always crazy, but we got 2 seats at the bar and it was perfect! Loved the florals, food and people watching on a rainy la day
Lisa Lopez
So glad to have them open again! Everything from the decor, beverages, apps, pizza and dessert was just how I remember it. Bottega welcome back!!
Terrance Lung
Macarone here is good, somehow i found a fly on it when i was collecting them. After letting the staff know, they just dumped part of the macarones on the shelf, but i gonna say i saw the fly flying around. i hope those guys who bought these macarones from them at that day was alright.
John Hatzis
Great ambience and fantastic pasta
Sveta Poluektova
Tartufo pizza, Brussels sprouts and arugula fennel salad were delicious, can't wait to return!
Katherine Stocking
Whether you're dining in or just grabbing a treat from the pastry case, you can't go wrong with a stop at Bottega Louie. Brunch provides a variety of fun and fresh dishes; later in the day, grab a woodfired pizza or decadent truffle mashed potatoes. The photogenic and iconic macaron case is bound to make your instagram feed brighter.
The macarons make for a great treat anytime, but can add some serious wow to a special occasion. We ordered them and stacked them for our wedding cake (colorful, delicious, and easy to serve! Win!).
Adri True
Amazing desserts! They were all gorgeous and tasty!
Peter Roberts
Very loud, but wonderful food and service. I especially like their burrata pizza.
Em Te (YelloLemon)
Healthy and light. The grilled octopus is a must try. Dessert not too sweet which is perfect. Pizza is light and not greasy. Italian soda 🤩 …

I love the vibe, the food and the desserts in this place. My fav spot when I’m in downtown
Alex Gray
Service was fantastic as well as the atmosphere and especially the food!
What a great presentation!

Went there had desert. I like the ambience and professionalism. I felt the Tirimasu was better looking than it was tasting. The chocolate eclair was OK. I appreciate what they have done but I won't be coming back for either dessert. Next time I will try the food perhaps.
Thiago Oliveira
Very tasty. Great Ambience. Go there.
Surasak Chaisa
Great place for breakfast, delicious food and great service
Shan Guo
very good italian restaurant And downtown And all the bakery are art.
joseph
Amazing if in the area its absolutely a must either for a meal or the incredible assortment of pastries.
Rose K
One of my fav brunch spots in DT. Love the vibe and the yummy food.
Sergio Mendoza
By far one of my best experiences ever!!
The presentation and taste was just amazing!!
Mariia Kolodiazhna
Amazing food, beautiful place inside and waiters were nice
Chef Nelly
Came here for the Chocolate souffle and it did not disappoint. First, it's huge. Big enough to split with someone else. Texture, flavor and sweetness were spot on. The Creme Anglaise was perfectly made, good texture and perfect thickness without an eggie flavor. I would've preferred the sauce to be a tad bit sweeter but that's just a personal preference. To be fair this is a Souffle review but I highly recommend it.
vienna villaluz ilagan
Over 13 different macarons to pick from. Yum.
Gabriel Cappelli
Extremely expensive $25 for a pizza but all the food is extremely good and boy oh boy the desserts are out of this world, if you can afford it it's the best place in downtown period.
Gary Anderson
Wonderfood ...great service. Very loud and difficult to have a conversation with your brunch campanions or date. A very Delicious and try worthy sangria.
Patrick B
Place was beautiful, but the food was not worth the price, $17 of scrambled egg with smoke bacons. Toast was hard like a rock. Scramble Egg was left out for long time before they served to me served with not crunchy but hard smoked bacon. Looked good in picture, but not taste.
Shiela Grace Gonzales
It was beautiful, gold and white marble all over! Such a luxurious area and the desserts are beautifully and deliciously made!
Come visit this place when you come to LA! Sad that I wasnt able to take pics but you wont regret it!
Ruben Williams
Showy and clean. It's a loud venue. The is trendy and pleasing to the eye. You can't walk by and not want to walk in. Lots of light everywhere. Popular by design
just jami
My son had his 21st birthday here. Food and drinks were amazing. The staff was even better.
socalfoodie_ Adventurer
Had an amazing experience. Some of the highlights are when you walk in is the vast array of macarons ranging in flavors from Vanilla to Grand Cru (chocolate special). I like the ever changing cocktail program and I had the Strawberry Pimm's Cup with rosemary and thyme. Onto dinner the pizza and pasta marinara with house made pasta program here is amazing.
Sandra Schuch
Service is horrible! Restaurant is empty but they won’t seat you. They don’t need your money lol
Luis Aguilar
Amazing food. Acoustics of the building makes it a bit loud but definitely worth it. The question now is whether to order the same dishes next time or try more.
Tony Hsieh
People behind the counter were especially helpful and courteous. People will say the prices are high, but they do put a lot of work into presentation and packaging.
