We dropped by and were pleasantly surprised! The staff here are very polite and helpful, even while busy, and their selection was great! The bear claws were absolutely massive and looked delicious. Their rumballs are really beautifully balanced, and will knock out that chocolate craving! There are a ton of baked goods to try, we'll have to go back time after time to try them all. They also have German baking/cooking ingredients, and next time we're determined to try their Cheesecake. All in all, a great authentic bakery with a nice selection of tasty things!

Love this place for really fresh and quality bread. Tried the black forest cake and Frank's chocolate cake and both were absolutely delicious - soft sponge, light cream and the sour cherries in the black forest were really pleasant and delicious. Note; there is a fee for card transactions - it is a small business after all!

loved the selection there!!! they also have maggi brand mixes for sauce for spaetzle etc, a couple dr oetker things, haribo, zenf, etc. Yummy yummy treats!!! LOVED the almond triangle chocolate thing, the berliner was ok, the krap was was very yummy, peach and apple cake amazing too. Had Christmas stollen bread for $12 great bargain!!!

There really isn't not much you can write about a small German bakery considering all they offer is German pastries and pretzels. Me and Wifey came here after a hearty breakfast next door and decided we weren't finished stuffing ourselves yet. We've been here several times and we always get pretzels and pretzels rolls, they are to die for! These are some of the most authentic German pretzels I've had since I've been to Munich. They are cooked just right and have just enough salt on them that isn't too much. Along with the pretzels I also get a Berliner which is equally awesome. Good amount of powdered sugar and not stingy on the filling, these are puffy so to me you get more bang for the buck so to say. The lady that helped us is always friendly and courteous. She was extremely patient while I picked which Berliner I wanted from their glass display and rang us up promptly. If you like German pastries or snacks this is the spot to go to, there aren't to many in town.

Delicious baked goods, worth a visit for sure. cinnamon stick was beautifully flakey, meringue was also one of the better meringues I've had, and the almond horn was unbelievably delicious. If you love pastries this is a place to visit.

There are no words for the fabulousness of the berliner here. I could swear that was actual vanilla sugar on it, and the raspberry filling was just as it should be. We also tried some of the cake slices and if I could have gone back for more black forest slices I would have. Sour (really sour) cherries, that odd kind of chocolate cake that isn't dark, and really good whipped cream. I should have bought a whole sheet. Seriously. And the bauernbrot was so real. I was super impressed. No wonder this place has a double parked line up outside.

So I'm of midwestern German heritage from South Illinois and my grandmother was an incredible cook. I learned to cook first by watching her and then professionally by apprenticing with German and Austrian chefs. Having discovered this wunderbar bakery a few months ago, I have now tried so many of their fresh breads, bratwursts, aufschnitt (cold cuts), mustards, and imported pickles. I am obsessed with their cubes of pumpernickle bread, they are perfect in every way! The poppy seed coffee cake also blew my mind. Truely, I've been impressed by every single thing. Aside from the incredible products, conversation is always friendly and it is very clean. I know they have a lot of regular customers and I hope to become one.

Fantastic authentic German bakery items (breads and sweets) baked fresh daily. They also have a small collection of meats and dried goods such as tea and ready-mixes. Same products I import from home when I'm visiting family. The only thing I really wish they had is Saltz Schtangel. It's great to get a genuine taste of home in Vegas!!!! They currently have two locations. Both are equally fantastic!

These taste like homemade pastry. Pretzels, strudel, tarts as well as some German products are just some of the things you can find. The pretzels are not like the ones you get from snack bars. These are definitely treats.

It's been a while since I have been to this German bakery located in a shopping plaza in Summerlin at which a super-size Smith's store is the anchor tenant. I believe they call this combination of a supermarket and a department store a Smith's Marketplace store. The fact that the German Bread Bakery, located just around the corner from this Smith's behemoth with a large in-store bakery of it's own, does a brisk business with a loyal clientele of repeat customers throughout the year is an crystal-clear indication of just how delectable virtually everything made and sold in this family-run business must be. Germans are known for their expertise in making a great variety of breads including diverse rolls, soft pretzels and the like. No matter what type of bread you prefer, you will find something to satisfy your cravings here. The baked goods - including cakes - made with various fruit fillings/toppings and nuts are invariably first-rate. My personal favorite(s) apart from the apple strudel include all those pastries made with poppy seeds since such items are rarely if ever found at other bakeries around town. Special orders are welcome, just ask. Especially large orders should be phoned in a few days ahead of your scheduled pickup date to ensure that an adequate supply of German bread and baked goods will also be available for other patrons. They also have a second store in Las Vegas located on Eastern Avenue to which I have never been since I live here in the wild-and-woolly northwestern part of Sin City.

The pretzel croissants are fabulous. As are the pretzels, bread and cakes. We shared a cheese danish and it was very light and had the perfect sweetness. One of the best bakeries we have found outside Germany. Between this one and Vosen's in Salt Lake City, we're set. Thank you!

I contacted this bakery via email a few days before my parents' arrival in Las Vegas. They went there to celebrate my mom's birthday. I wanted to do something special since she wouldn't be with us on her birthday, so knowing her love for German pastries I sought out to find a German bakery in Vegas. Lo and behold, I found the German Bread Bakery. I was able to order a half-portion of a poppy seed coffee cake, which was a very, very generous portion, and they delivered it to my parents' hotel for a nominal charge. I was very pleased with the communications back and forth with the (presumed) owner, Uta. They did a great job, and my mom said the pastry was fantastic. Thanks German Bread Bakery!

You can not by bread, pastries, or pretzels like theirs in the grocery store. Their breads are mostly typical German breads--dense, crusty, tending toward rye and grains. Until I found this bakery, I had a very hard time finding breads I truly enjoy in this country. And the pretzels. To DIE for! They also carry a modest variety of imported German foods.

Just like Kaiserslautern bread tre toucks that stopped at US Air Force housing complex in Germany back in the Jimmy Carter days. Perfectly crisp on outside, soft inside, and oh so wonderful to the palette. I treated the office to this on a Friday morning. Opens at 7:30 am.

I live in Germany for the military and became addicted to Broetchen and German Bread in General. This prompted a search on google search for a German Bakery early last week... I didnt have high hopes of finding anything here in Vegas and let me tell you.... This place is AWESOME. Delicious Broetchen, pastries, and anything else you can look for from a German Bakery. The customer service is excellent and even if it wasnt, the delicious baked goods would more than make up for it. This is now added on to our once a week grocery shopping list... What a great find here in Vegas....

Bei unserem nächsten Trip nach Las Vegas gehen wir sicher wieder dort einkaufen, auch wenn es etwas teuer ist. Das Weizenmischbrot oder Hausbrot wie wir es nennen würden (wheat-rye-mix) ist fast so gut wie in Deutschland, ein klein wenig trockener aber nah dran und das freut einen dann doch sehr. Die Rumkugel wäre sogar hervorragend, wenn sie doch bitte den richtigen Rum nehmen würden, dort gehört einfach das rein was aus Österreich kommt oder man als Rumaroma kennt . Das einzige was uns dann doch enttäuscht hat waren die Weisswürste. Gesehen - Leuchten in den Augen bekomme und natürlich getestet. Mag daran liegen das wir aus Bayern anderes gewohnt sind, aber die Würzmischung passt einfach nicht, wenn man uns das Zuhause serviert hätte, hätten wir gefragt ob die aus Hamburg kommen ;). Aber alles in allem toll und wir versuchen nächstes Mal vielleicht die Wiener oder wie der Österreicher sagt die Frankfurter. Das Angebot ist auf jeden Fall nett durchdacht und ich hätte so etwas gern näher bei mir. (Translation) We will definitely shop there again on our next trip to Las Vegas, even if it's a bit pricey. The wheat mixed bread or house bread as we would call it (wheat-rye mix) is almost as good as in Germany, a little bit drier but close and that makes you very happy. The rum ball would even be excellent, if you would please take the right rum, it just has to contain what comes from Austria or what is known as a rum aroma. The only thing that disappointed us was the white sausages. Seen - get lights in the eyes and of course tested. It may be because we are used to something different from Bavaria, but the seasoning mix just doesn't fit, if we had been served home, we would have asked if they were from Hamburg ;). But all in all great and next time we might try the Viennese or, as the Austrians say, the Frankfurter. The offer is definitely well thought out and I would like to have something closer to me.
