My wife and I purchased 4 cakes from here for our wedding ceremony. These cakes were amazing and the best I have ever tasted. It’s hard to pick a favorite but I think the Millionaire cake was the best. When we went to pick them up we ran late and they worked with us on a later time. The shop was so busy and very quaint. Loved the atmosphere and plan on going back again for future occasions. 6 stars!!

This was my first time visiting the Indy location. I've been to the Carmel location previously. We were at the Indy shop celebrating a friend's baby shower. Parking is somewhat hard to find. However, we were seated promptly and our waiter was phenomenal and very accommodating. The decor is beautiful. It looked like an enchanted cottage. The food and drinks were delicious, but expensive, which I expected. I had chicken velvet soup, a turkey sandwich, Neapolitan cake and the elderberry sparkler drink. The cake was well presented and moist. The icing was fluffy and flavorful. My only true complaint was there was a squashed raspberry on the floor and stuck underneath our table that had not been cleaned up from previous guests. That was gross and sticky when the mom-to-be in our party stepped in it and inadvertently got it on her dress when she sat down. Other than that, it was a wonderful evening and a pleasant experience.

The cake bake shop is like entering a fairy tale; the decor is colorful, magical, sparkly, and perfect. My favorite items on the menu are the broccoli quiche, Gwendolyn's famous earl's court chocolate cake, and the lavender lemonade. They put edible glitter on almost everything!!! I would give the quality of the restaurant food and service four stars because the food appearance, texture, and flavor are overall very consistent. Still, i have noticed that the service is not as attentive and quick to serve customers. I was only disappointed once by the food because when i got my cake, it was cold, and I don't particularly enjoy eating it cold.

My wife told me about this place while I was here on business. I wanted to make her happy so I braved the visit. It's definitely a place for a girl to play out her fantasies of being a princess, wonderful staff who were very into the whole role play. They were very helpful in helping me get cake back to the family. Needless to say, everyone really enjoyed the slices and we held a taste party in our kitchen of all the slices I brought back. Delicious cookies, had the whole salty and sweet thing going for them.

Beautiful restaurant. Impeccable service. Beautiful presentation. The cake was undeniably scrumptious. Macarons were SO delicious. The earl grey tea made me warm to my bones. I ordered the tomato bisque as well for my lunch and it was the only thing I thought “I’ve had better”. My friend very much enjoyed her lunch order though. I took home extra cake for the family. Enjoyed our day.

I loved loved loved the atmosphere of this shop. The teas were wonderful. My only issue was that we were under the impression we were reserved until 2pm, but later told it was 130. But we ended up having to clear out at 1pm for the next party. I am a little sad about that. Either way, I'll be back for my birthday!

Came here to shoot some laid back maternity pictures because it's just so cute and who can beat a tea date with a friend! Carrot cake and carmel apple macaroons were amazing! So was the fruit infusion tea! Can't wait to bring my 3 year old daughter here, she'll love it!

This is an experience! I attended a birthday party in the restaurant. The decor made me wish I still had a little girl to treat. The food is tasty. I had a rocket salad with toasted goat cheese and an appealing lemony vinegrette; my mother raved about but the quiche. But the desserts are the star attraction. Spectacular. Special mention to the experienced, professional staff. You gave my aunt a special day.

The Cake bake Shop has the most beautiful ambience. We tried the Caprese Sandwich that comes with Freshly sliced tomatoes, homemade pesto with walnuts, basil & mozzarella on a toasted baguette.For Dessert we had the Millionaire, Raspberry Champagne and Red Velvet Cake. If you have a sweet tooth then Cake Bake Shop is a must visit.

This is a very lovely bakery. If you are into high end pastries this is a must try. They have something for everyone. The staff is fast, but yoy can't rush perfection. They are also friendly and very clean. Perfect patio for cake and coffee.

We celebrated my mother's 84th birthday and she loved the overall experience. The food was amazing and of course the dessert was delicious. She didn't care for the apple pie but the cakes and macarons were amazing!!!!! I took a piece of hummingbird cake home and it was delicious!!The chicken velvet soup was perfection and the baguette was the best I've ever had!!! The atmosphere is amazing and everyone should experience it at least once. Perfect place for small gatherings. Can't wait to return with my best friends. We called and made reservations on a Thursday at 5pm and it wasn't crowded at all. Not sure if parking will be convenient on a weekend or a busy day. Staff was amazing but would like to see more modern or updated uniforms.

I was taken here for a birthday surprise. We did the afternoon tea. My 16 mo old niece came with us and was very hangry-which made our party stressed out (anyone with children understands the struggle). We asked for the tier of food early on and I believe the manager who waited on us (pink blazer) said she understands and just wants to make sure our party is happy. She accommodated our request and we, including my niece, had a lovely lunch thereafter. The sandwiches were so good and the teas were fabulous. Environment is whimsical and out of a fairy tale. Thank you guys for making my day! ❤️

Great venue for a birthday celebration! They even provide balloons and a card. Coffee prices seem off as a double espresso was $10 which is more than coffee drinks that contain it.

Such a cute place to splurge. Two slices of cake and two coffees were almost $50 but the cake was delicious and the atmosphere sweet. We were lucky and it wasn't very busy. I can't imagine if it was full capacity. It would have been really tight inside.

As someone who had never even heard of Cake Bake, my first trip was quite the experience. Although busy, we managed to get a table by the bar. The staff were very friendly, but slow. The menu is very pricey, but the food is great. The Croque-Monsieur was absolutely delicious. All of the coffees and hot chocolates were so rich and flavorful. We also had Gwendolyn's famous chocolate cake, the key lime pie, and the raspberry champagne cake - and were all very good. This is somewhere I would go more infrequently, but is a fun atmosphere and experience.

The food is really good and shimmers with sparkles too. My princess aka daughter loved her carrot cake and unicorn hot chocolate. This place is an experience however is overpriced. You can have better cake at a lower price elsewhere, but not have this unique experience.

Incredible foodie spot in Broad Ripple! I've always heard good things but finally got to experience them for myself. The food, drinks, service, atmosphere, staff, and desserts are all outstanding! They hosted my niece's birthday party and we were impressed from the moment we walked in until the time we left. I'd recommend this Cake Bake to anyone who enjoys excellent customer service and magical culinary experiences. It's a great spot for celebrating an important milestone or experiencing different tastes and sensations. Can't wait to come back!

Cute and quaint. I feared it being overcrowded at the Carmel location so I was hoping it would be decent here and it was! Friday afternoon was perfect and made it better to enjoy the first time. I love the fact that it was hidden along a beautiful tree lined street. Had the French onion soup and ceaser which was great! The cakes were truly amazing, some of the best I have ever had. Took some cheesecake to go. Yes it's exspensive but soooo worth it!

The waitress who took care of us was kind and pleasant. The atmosphere was just ok to me though. My husband and I ordered some cake and I had a glass of lemonade. The lemonade was pink and it was very good, not too sweet, either. My husband had the carrot cake, which I was surprised didn’t contain nuts or raisins. I can always pass on the raisins, but I worried about there not being any nuts. It was a large slice and beautifully dusted with pixie dust. It was dense, moist, and just delicious with the icing it was paired with. I would absolutely return for a to go box with a slice of that cake inside! My selection was the red velvet cake. It was beautifully presented with a sprinkling of pixie dust, too. A sweet touch. The cake looked moist and absolutely delicious! The first few bites were as expected. The buttercream icing adhering the three layers of cake tasted delicious with the red velvet cake and small chocolate chips within. As I continued to eat though, the cake just got drier and less enjoyable. It had a substantial amount of pink icing on the outside and top so I hoped that would help with the overall taste of the remaining cake. It did not. It had the consistency of shaving cream and the taste to go with it. It didn’t have any semblance of a whipped icing at all. It was beautifully decorated and the color pink was most appropriate with the red velvet cake, but absolutely flavorless. I, of course, ran out of the buttercream icing adhering the layers, so I stopped eating and nibbled on what my husband had left of his carrot cake. I am glad we made the trip, but I don’t expect we will be back.. Lest we are close and there is fresh carrot cake.

Whimsy and magical just don’t do TCBS any justice. I am so glad I made the journey to Indianapolis from Chicago to enjoy Gwen’s Earl Court chocolate cake and a glass of her sparkling rosé. Both of these options were spectacular. I ordered a slice of the red velvet to go in addition to the cookie dough cake. The red velvet wasn’t my fave but my friend loved her slice of the cookie dough and she got it 48 hours later.

All I can say is wow! I have gotten a dessert to go from the Carmel location but never been to this location. My mom and I were in awe. We came for lunch and Everything was amazing. And oh my goodness the service!!! Rhiannon was amazing! She took care of our every need from start to finish! Not one complaint at all. We’ll be back and ask for her section!

This little cake bake shop is super adorable and has kind of a Disney aesthetic with the uniforms of the employees and the way it's decorated. This location is quite small but my friend and I enjoyed the more private atmosphere. We got our cake slices promptly and the waiter was kind. Each slice is about $16 so bear in mind. They are huge slices! I took about half home but my friend did eat all of hers. She left behind most of the frosting since there's A LOT on it. Personally, the cake was too sweet for me. It was delicious but I did have higher expectations and it didn't quite meet them. Nonetheless, I would try another flavor of cake again but perhaps share it with someone else. It is worth trying once in your life!

My mother killed this huge piece for her birthday. Having an ill mother is nothing to smile about, but she laughed and smiled the whole time. I thought she would have enough for another snack, but when I went to check she just smiled and said she couldn't stop eating it. My mother orders French chocolates every Christmas, she says this was some of the richest chocolate ever and the cake melted in her mouth. Worth every penny for her smile. 70 is a great birthday to have this cake..🤗🤗 4/12/22 update I went without my mother this year as she passed just 3 weeks ago. We had plans to go together.❤ My BlackBerry salad was filling. The million dollar cake was worth every penny. Our server was just the sweetest and loves Disney just like me. We never miss her bday at cake bake and if I'm able I never will. 🥰

The best cake I have every had in the US over the past five years!!! The interior decoration for the Christmas was super nice, and the staff was very helpful! We ordered the signature chocolate cake (Gwendolyn's Famous Earl's Court Chocolate Cake) - highly recommended!! The cake itself was not too sweet and firm, and the ganache layer brought in very beautiful and delicate taste to the cake with strong chocolate flavors. If I have time, I would plan to make reservations in advance and dine in next time!

This visit was a disappointment. I've brought my mom several times before, but I am not sure if we will be back. We made reservations and arrived on time. It took a bit to be acknowledged and several minutes for someone to come back and seat us. This location is very tiny, and we could see three open tables and there was no reason we should not have been seated right away. It then took several minutes for the server to show up. He was friendly but a little more concerned with giving a dramatic welcome than he was with attentive service. It took nearly 10 minutes to get an iced tea and coffee once he finally took our drink order. I had to get up and find him to get refills. We ordered choose two combos which took a very long time to receive. In all, we were in the restaurant well over an hour before our meals were served. The cakes were beautiful, as always, but the portions were smaller. Hard to believe because they were still big, but it was noticeable, and we compared them to photos from past visits just to be sure. At $16 per slice, you expect a large slice. The coconut cake was very dry. The filing was amazing, but I don't know that it made up for a dry sponge. In the past we always ordered cake to take home but this time we didn't bother. The atmosphere is adorable, and my mom loves to go there but it cannot stand on charm alone. The focus needs to return to the cakes for which the restaurant is named and to improve the quality of service.

Whimsical and magical place! No wonder why it's one of Oprah's favorite places. We were lucky to find a spot at the bar to sit and eat as we were a walk-in. I highly recommend making reservations week's in advance if you're planning a stop here. The mission is to create a magical experience for guests and they certainly do, especially in the small, beautiful details. The decor changes and menu is fresh. When my husband's lemonade came out with glitter on the lemon garnish, I just knew it was the best place to be! Although we are not locals, we have since been back because it's just that great!

Wonderful decoration of the place and nice service. But we tried a ham sandwich and it was not worth it for $18, chips were from a package. Chocolate chips cookie was delicious though. Plus for drinks,we had latte and cafe au lait,first $8 and second $6 both in tiny china cups so again nothing special for the price, but the tableware. Maybe next time I will just go for the cakes...

Delicious cake (of course) but honestly I was more impressed with the quiche! It was DELICIOUS. My husband and I shared a quiche and then split a piece of cake and it was a perfect lunch. We enjoyed the Cookie Dough cake (how do they get the pieces of cookie dough to not turn into cookies while baking????) and my husband thought the Red Velvet (our to go) was also amazing. The cream cheese filling was DELICIOUS. Best cream cheese filling I've ever had, hands down.

Its always fun stopping by this place. It’s small and can feel a bit cramped, but it’s such a lovely place. The desserts are expensive but most are tasty. My husband loves the salted chocolate chips cookies. The macaroons are great, and you can truly taste the flavors, like rose and lavender. I ordered a birthday cake from here and it was delicious. All of my family loves the light and fluffy bitter cream. You’re not just paying for dessert, but also for the experience. I recently went back for an early dinner and we were very satisfied with our food. This was some of the best if not the very best cheesecake I’ve ever had.

I had an awesome experience here! The girls that waited on us were amazing, with an awesome knowledge of the menu in and out. The dessert was also great, with tons of options for cake. I have never seen so many options! The cake we did get was FABULOUS, so moist! Everything about our meal was great. We both got Rose--I got no 69 and it was perfect without being too sweet. The entire inside of the restaurant is absolutely beautiful, with flowers everywhere. Absolutely will be returning

This is a very cozy place. I like how the owner pays attention to details in her decorating and the uniforms of her employees. I had a Cafe Mocha and Raspberry Champagne Cake. It was okay. I was hoping I could taste the champagne more in the cake. I thought the cake was a bit hard and crumbly. Not as moist as I was expecting. My daughter had a Chocolate Chaud, a fancy Hot Chocolate, and The Dutchess Cake. She didn't care for the icing because it was whipped. I personally love my icing like that :-) She enjoyed the Hot Chocolate. The service was good with Daniella. We would go back to try something else.

I got a gift card to cake bake for christmas because I really wanted to try it out and finally went with two others last night. Thought the $100 would be enough for 3 but apparently not. Heard good things about the food but it really wasn’t too special. You could probably get the sandwich I got at Panera for half the price. The drinks were amazing (tasted both hot apple cider and lavender) but really small portions. The cake was good but not incredible. The millionaire cake was good but didn’t really enjoy the icing. The raspberry champagne was a bit dry but overall good. The red velvet was delicious and I really liked the icing. Overall, I would go again but just get the cake, and not do the sit down experience. If you do sit down, make sure to get a reservation- you get seated pretty fast if you do.

Biting into the Magic bar and Raspberry bar will make your eyes roll back with just how amazing they are. These bars hit the sweet spot so perfectly where your eyes just can't help but widen as you try to figure out how to consume the bars faster. Definitely stay away from their sandwiches as they're overpriced for little to no meat.

Cake Bake was a magical experience! We went for a light lunch and lots of dessert. We had penne and a baguette for lunch. The penne was delicious and it had a little heat kick. The baguette was delicious but the butter was amazing! Definitely try the sparkling lavender lemonade. It was sweet but not overly sweet. The Marie Antoinette had raspberry and cream on a macaron shell. It was so delicate and flavorful. The cakes were phenomenal. We had the Famous Earl's Chocolate, carrot, blackberry, and the cinnamon roll cakes. The pieces were huge so $10-13 per slice wasn't terrible. My only complaint was the cinnamon roll cake was a little dry. Overall I will definitely go again! Tip: Make your reservation for right when they open. The place fills up quick! Since we got in right away we had timely service.

The best cake I have ever had! I just recently used The Cake Bake for my wedding and it was a hit. everyone loved it. I was even able to get a slice of GF cake for someone that needed a GF option to eat. The process of ordering and picking up was easy. My family can't wait to try more! As I made my entrance, I instantly knew I was home. This place is a fancy high tea dream come true. Everything is flowers, bright colors and sparkly fairy lights. The chandelier’s little French skeleton dolls grinned cheerily at me as I took my seat. I was enchanted. I ordered the lavender latte and the Marie Antoinette. Both were beautiful and absolutely delicious. A delightful experience!

We first started going only for the desserts at their Broad Ripple location, but then went back to try their soup and sandwiches, which were pretty good. We were excited to try their Carmel location and was happy with the Filet Mignon we tried. Our only complaint was that we still had to wait even after making reservations.

I absolutely love the atmosphere inside. It's pink and adorable. While completely girly, my husband didn't feel uncomfortable. The savory food options are limited, but what we got was delicious. The drink options are great. I really enjoyed my sparkling lavender lemonade and my lavender latte. And of course there's cake! The slices are huge, fresh, and so tasty. I can't wait to come back again.

First time we managed to get a seat without a long wait which allowed us to marvel at the myriad of delightful details in the shop's decor. The Smores hot chocolate was equally delightful to look at but was unfortunately tepid at best, and served in a small teacup. The chocolate cheesecake tasted ok but was nearly rock hard. (Perhaps not serving dated items should be a better practice.) To top off the experience, my son found a hair in his sugar cookie... We will be back, b/c in the past we have purchased tasty deserts, but quality requires constant vigilance and I have added my two cents.

We planned a trip here 3 months in advance for my sister's birthday and it's definitely worth the 2 hour drive for us from Fort Wayne, IN! The broccoli cheese quiche and chocolate cake is to die for and they both just melt in your mouth! I've been here 3 times and try to get something new, and I'm never disappointed... Just wow. From the minute you walk in until you leave. Crystal cake stands, glitter, pink, white, huge cakes... It's amazing to see. Then you go to pay and wonder why you are paying $12 for one slice of cake. Then you take a bite, and think I would DEFINITELY spend another $12 on this cake. Lovely place, seats for eating in and drinks as well!

This is a destination, boutique restaurant. Impeccable service. The decor is over the top and fun. I particularly enjoyed the quiche and arugula salad. The salad was especially devine! Of course the desserts are exceptional.

Honestly blown away, wasn't sure what to expect between the Disney music when wet walked in and the fact that everything in the restaurant sparkles. I literally rolled my eyes when I walked in. Kind of over did the fairy tale thing haha. But.... Cakes were amazing of course, service was awesome as was the coffee. Very friendly staff, and appeared to enjoy their jobs. We will be back!

A friend and I stopped in here for the first time today. My friend had been wanting us to go for a while, and I wasn't sure what to expect. When I would ask others about this place, everyone said it was amazing. Let me just tell you, the atmosphere is absolutely beautiful. I don't even know how to describe it. That's why I included some pictures. It's definitely the kind of place I would bring my mom or my niece for their birthday. My friend and I decided to get some cake to go. The woman who served us was incredibly friendly. The entire staff there had a smile on their face, and they seemed to love what they were doing. Everyone was very well-dressed, and I kind felt out of place with my baggy sweatshirt and sweatpants. Needless to say, when I come back, I plan to dress a bit nicer. I got a piece of their espresso cheesecake, and I absolutely recommend you give it a try. The only thing I have any complaints about is the price. But I'm also a college student, so I'm always going to complain about price.

We got the pumpkin chocolate cake. The flavors and presentation were all there in the cake. I loved having the chocolate and spice cake, but I almost feel like one layer of the cake wasn't needed just because it was mad it so large. I went with a pretty large party for the size of the restaurant (9 people) but they handled it beautifully. Our server or host was never aggravated or annoyed at anything we asked of her. I should also note that the cake is so large you can definitely split one slice between two people. Overall a really good first experience!

This place is like going back in time. My wife picked this place on recommendation from a friend to celebrate her birthday and they went the extra mile to give her an amazing time. It's beautiful, full of flowers, soft jazz music, and amazing staff serving some truly great dishes, cakes, and drinks. It's amazing and I can't recommend it enough.

I brought my girlfriend here for her birthday to have a nice lunch and it was simply amazing. She had (and shared) her turkey panini. Best one I've ever tasted. I wasnt a fan of the custard quiche only bc of the texture, but it still tasted great. Finally we ended with cake and an apple crisp for dessert. Needless to say both were on point.

My daughter and I came for dinner and dessert. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was great. I highly recommend the chicken soup. However, we were both disappointed in our cake. The frosting and filling was delicious and the only thing that saved the slice because the cake itself was dry. There is so much to say about this place. It's just a unique place and amazing baked goods. The cakes are a little expensive but the quality lines up with the prices. Carrot cake is one of my favorite go to's every time. Tonight I tried the snicker doodle cheesecake bar and it was just fantastic.. The staff is always friendly. Also guys if you ever make your girlfriend mad, just take her here and the glitter, decorations and delicious cakes will definitely get you out of the dog house at least for a little bit.

Ive been sitting on doing this review for awhile now. Ive had 3 experiences with the Cake Bake Shop. My first experience, was with a friend. The ambience was incredibly beautiful but we were both unimpressed by our cake. The slices were huge and looked beautiful but was lacking in flavor. My second experience was with my daughter for her birthday lunch. We didn’t order cake and we had pasta and a chicken salad. Those were excellent. I tried again a couple of months ago hoping that my first experience was a fluke. I ordered an entire Raspberry Champagne cake for my birthday celebration. The cake was gorgeous but again lacking in flavor, the cake itself was hard and not very moist. Alot of too sweet icing. I was devastated because Ive ordered cakes from Whole Foods for 1/3 of the price that was way better.

It's a really good place. Seating is limited, but you can tell from the outside that it's not going to have a lot of room or seating. The idea that you can walk in with 4+ people and have a mass-produced restaurant experience instantly is ludicrous. Seems like a lot of reviewers were of some belief that the things that made the bakery famous and interesting included the decor, and if they truly 'read up' and 'travelled across three states', they would know that it's a small building. What really bothers me is the number of people complaining about 'chemical icing' and 'dry cakes'. I truly feel you are so used to grocery cakes with chemicals to force them to stay moist and icings from tubes or tubs with actual preservatives that you have forgotten what an actual cake's taste and mouth feel is. I know it's the La Croix argument, which I hate, but I have never once had a bad cake from here.

I went to the new Carmel location today with my 2 daughters (ages 1 and 4). Walking in to The Cake Bake Shop was like walking into a dream. It is one of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever seen! Not a single detail was missed. The staff was friendly and surprisingly accommodating for young kids. We were given 2 gorgeous antique high chairs and a coloring page for the kids that was so beautiful I wanted to frame it! They had an extensive cocktail list and our drinks were all served in beautiful selected glass wear. The food was delicious and beautifully served. The only downside to our visit was that they were sold out of the chocolate chip cookies (which is a testament to how good they are)! This was a fantastic choice for a ladies lunch and it was such a special day to share with my girls and see their eyes light up! We will definitely be back!

I was truly impressed by the decor inside and out amazing my sister treated me there for lunch on Wednesday of this week and I was truly impressed the food was excellent but the only thing I suggest is that the soup be served hot I to send it back twice just to get it hot the something with the quiche it was not hot lukewarm on both items. I purchase several deserts lemon bar raspberry and I think the caramel bar also delicious the raspberry cake and the millionaire cake. I love the place so much that on Monday I invited 6 guest to join me at 130 pm. Can't wait

My friend took me to Cake Bake for a belated birthday brunch. (Note, we went to Cake Bake for her birthday earlier this year and remember how everything tasted.) We immediately ordered the rosé cappuccinos. We were a bit disappointed as the coffee tasted burnt and there was very little rosé flavor. We both ordered the rosemary, ham and goat cheese quiche, in which the top of quiche (unfortunately) was a little overdone. One edge of my friend’s quiche was burnt. The pastry dough had good flavor, but it wasn’t light and flaky like the last time. We ordered another round of coffee, just to make sure we didn’t get a bad batch. I ordered the coconut latte and my friend had the cappuccino. The coffee still tasted burnt. The manager was kind enough to credit one round of coffee from our bill. Our service was good. Our dessert was delish too; we both got the cookie dough cake. Even though our experience wasn’t as perfect as the first time, we’ll still be back.

The Cake Bake Shop is a step into a fairytale in Central Indiana. The quaint, adorable cottage decorated with sparkling lights and stunning floral inside and out is sure to take your breath away. While I wasn't amazed by the food and I've had better cake (icing tastes like butter with very little flavor), the sparkling lavender lemonade is amazing. I still give Cake Bake 4 stars for creating an atmosphere comparable to a restaurant in Disney World. The numerous accolades on the wall also are a little strange for decor, but I will continue to bring out of town guests in for a little bit of magic (and glitter ;)).

I will always return in the future but my one recommendation is that the wait staff needs to smile. Not smile more...but just smile once in a while. It made me feel as if they really don’t like working here. One employee not smiling is one thing but when no employee smiles...that speaks volumes for the management. Why are they ALL so unhappy? The new location in Carmel is absolutely stunning. Everything from the food to the staff to the detail in the trim work is spectacular! I had the privilege of being one of the first people through the doors and I was blown away by the atmosphere inside. It was like I had stepped into a whole different world! Our waiter Josh was very friendly and more than happy to go the extra mile to make our meal and our time there feel special. The food itself was outstanding. I wasn’t sure what to expect from a restaurant specializing in cakes and desserts, but I can say with confidence that I’ve never had a meal that good! My absolute favorite thing I had there was the hot chocolate made with chocolate from the chocolate fountain. It was so smooth and rich I just couldn’t stop drinking it. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I can’t wait to go back with my fiancée. I highly recommend going if you get the chance.

We came here tonight to celebrate my daughters 10th birthday. I have been making cakes myself since I have been 12 years old and I will say the cakes here are pretty good. The chocolate cake in the mint choc chip I personally would like it to have a little more stronger chocolate flavor, but the mint icying was wonderful. The carrot cake was really really good. The spice pumpkin was really good as well. And the birthday party sprinkle company cake like not sure the actual name of it was a little bit dry and kind of lacking in actual good cake flavor I guess the icing was good though overall she does really well on her cakes I guess it's the plain average flavors the chocolate and the vanilla that me personally I just did not like the rest of them are fabulous I really enjoyed her icing and I don't even eat cake I have been making it for 28 years and have been burnt out on it but I'd say these cakes are pretty good

For a place that has such a well known brand, I expected better quality of service. I made my reservation nearly three months in advance, and I was so excited to take my mother when she was in town this past weekend. However, I was very sad to find that the hosts had poor attitudes and, while our server was sweet, she failed to explain any details about their food or the restaurant itself, and forgot to take our drink order. In addition, our table had little dead gnats in the slits underneath the glass (gross...), and there were large amounts of dust along the window sill that our table sat against. We enjoyed our meal and our cake was decent, but definitely was a let down after hearing how "incredible" our experience would be.

After reading the reviews of Cake Bake I was eager to try one of their desserts. I recently tried a slice of their lemon blueberry three layer cake with lemon curd filling and buttercream icing. I must admit I was disappointed. The blueberries had sunk to the bottom of the cake layers so that you had a heavy dense layer of fruit instead of it being evenly distributed throughout the layer. The lemon curd was tasty but the buttercream icing was greasy, stiff and unappetizing. Overall, I wouldn’t choose this particular cake again. This might not be indicative of the usual quality of their offerings, but considering the reviews and the price, I expected a better experience.

If you're just going for cake I would HIGHLY recommended the millionaire cake, it was heaven. But the food was just not great. Our truffle fries were ice cold, but after we sent them back the replacements were hot and fresh. Everything just needed a lot more seasoning. I think we waited about half an hour to get our food and more than 10 for our drinks. This was at 2:30 in the afternoon with a half empty restaurant. So anyway, you're way better off stopping in and just getting some cake to go.

Unpleasant experience to say the least. Our waiter instructed us to take a look at the display case to see what they had available. 19 minutes later he finally returned to take our order. While we waited, I couldn't believe what the wait staff was saying about the birthday party that just left. It was in poor taste to discuss guests like they did. Sparkling lavender lemonade tasted like watered down 7-up. Not worth the $6.50. The desserts are incredible. We had to ask the hostess to have our server bring us our check since we hadn't seen him again. There was a lady server that dusted my niece with "princess glitter." Thank you to her for making it fun for my niece's first time to Cake Bake but we won't be back.

My daughter took me here last night for my birthday. If not for the magical Christmas decor, the rating would be lower. I know it probably sucks to work on the day after Thanksgiving (been there & done that) and also in COVID times and it showed with the service. But that could be overlooked if the food is good. I reserved the private room recently for a friend's bridal shower. Janet was wonderful in helping me with the reservation and suggesting that the frosting on the cake be light pink instead of white! She was very attentive throughout our time there and the food was wonderful, too. Most of my friends ordered the quiche, which was fluffy with a buttery crust. There was a $350 food and beverage minimum for reserving the room, so it was a bit more expensive than a typical dinner & dessert reservation, but the experience was one of a kind and worth it. I actually found the cake to be a bit on the dry side, but we also ordered a peanut butter cheesecake that was fabulous. Definitely make a reservation if you are coming here on a weekend. There was a three hour wait for dinner on a Saturday night! Overall, if you're looking for a fun, super girly place to have a meal or just dessert, definitely stop in!

Atmosphere and service are superb. It’s really an experience, and makes you feel special and pampered. The caprese sandwich and arugula salad with lemon dressing were very yummy. The cakes were beautiful, but I have had better. Raspberry champagne cake and lemon blueberry cake were okay. The chocolate cake was actually excellent. I’d recommend that over anything else. Worth it to try this place, at least once!

Martha was our personal attendant and was so wonderful, by the end of the meal I felt like she was part of the family. High Tea on 10/9/16 was absolutely fabulous!! There was four of us and we had the event room to ourselves. Two of us had been there before and two had not. When I say the shop and tea service took their breath away it is not hyperbole. My friends were awed by the gorgeous decor and the table setting. Janet topped the experience off by being attentive, friendly and informative. The High Tea is so worth the price and with the Christmas decor makes for a perfect ladies afternoon. It was wonderful to splurge a little and have such a great experience. We were already planning our next visit in a few months before we had even left the table! Thank you, Janet, for the best experience I have had in any restaurant anywhere.

My experience at cake bake was one to remember. It was date night and I was totally excited. Cake bake has a whimsy that makes you feel like a fairytale. I would have eaten crakers with water just to experience sitting in the shop. I did not have to the food was amazing the drinks were perfect. The lavender lemonade was like nothing I have never sipped on before. The magic bar was just that. I got cake to go but I am sure it will be wonderful. The manager was busing greeting and managing. I am sure she was overwhelmed and forgot about our reservation and we had to wait 30 mins to sit I was disappointed but she made it right with comping our first drink. Do not rush it takes awhile to experience on a weekend but this place is great.

Tim, the barista was great! We got to sample a few items as well as order a cream brulé latte and a rose latte. The tiramisu cake was delicious and the service was excellent! First time experience we live in Virginia and are from here but have never been so we decided to stop in for a visit and give it a good college try! Shared a delicious meal, pink champagne cocktails (with glitter!) and ridiculous cake with my girlfriends. Service is excellent, and the food was awesome. I had the ham and goat cheese quiche, with a perfect silky texture I really wish I knew how to recreate, and the raspberry champagne cake. The cake was moist and rich, and the buttercream icing practically melted in the mouth. Delightful!

Atmosphere was beautiful. Several cakes and desserts to choose from. I was with my mom and daughter and we each had to change our selection of cake because they ran out. It was around 2pm in the afternoon. We paid $43 for 3 slices of cake so in my opinion- definitely overpriced. Cookie dough cake was a bit dry.

Last night we had a girls night out, we made our reservations over two months ago. This was our second time dinning in, the first time was okay, but last night was very disappointing. Service was horrible, we waited over 30 minutes for our drinks, the food was just okay. Next time we will just come in a get desserts. That was the only positive part of our experience. We went at 8:30 at night and they weren’t ungodly busy, and our waitress only had three tables and only checked on us less then a handful of times. Our bills came out totally messed up, the manger took over 20 minutes to come out to fix it, but the desserts are to die for! Great French macaroons and cake flavors.

Came in from out of town and had a wonderful lunch here with my mother in law, grandmother in law, and two year old son. This place is definitely meant to be a special experience. Kind of like going to any nice restaurant you expect a certain level of service and quality and they absolutely delivered. We had such a nice time and it was great to see so many young children who were as excited as the adults to be in such a unique environment and treated to some really delicious food.

Went here for a friend’s birthday party. I arrived before my party and was greeted kindly by the hostess, Martha. She saw that my party had not previously put in a reservation but did her best to make sure that there would be a table available once our entire party arrived. The food was so delicious! I ordered the half sandwich and half pasta option and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our group was seated outside and we loved the decorations. I also ordered the carrot cake which I really enjoyed. Due to unexpected busyness, Martha ended up ringing us out in order to speed up the process (it was a Tuesday which is typically a more relaxed day but a convention was in town so our waitress had a great number of tables to look after). And as Martha handed our cards/receipts back mine was last, and without even looking she remembered my name from earlier in the evening. I was very impressed by her memory and her devotion to making the night as enjoyable as possible for us. To be honest, the food and experience were lovely, but it was Martha the hostess that left the most lasting impression on me afterwards. I work as a server in the catering industry and I found her kindness and attention to detail extremely impressive. Also it bears mention that our waitress, who did make a couple tiny mistakes, did phenomenal for waiting approximately half of the tables inside and half of the tables outside. I don’t know that I could have done a better job myself. If I were waiting that many tables I am sure I would have forgotten much more than one drink order, and I don’t know that I would have had the forethought to then bring that drink order out in a to-go container so that it was more convenient to leave with since it had come out later than anticipated. Once our table realized that she was waiting on so many people at once we realized how prompt she actually had been in getting back to us. It was not her fault they were uncharacteristically busy on a weeknight. And bearing that in mind her service was actually very impressive. I had a wonderful time at The Cake Bake Shop getting to celebrate an old friend, and I would definitely recommend it as a great place to enjoy food and dessert and spend an evening together.

I received a gift card to The Cake Bake Shop from my students, and was looking forward to going there. I took my 90 year old adorable mother for lunch. After some time in line, our order was taken. We sat down and waited. And waited. We were quite amazed to see people who came in after us being served their food. Ours never came, so finally I asked a waitress about it. She eventually brought some of our order, but had run out of the sandwich I ordered. I graciously accepted a substitute. As I approached the counter AGAIN to ask where the rest of our order was, the owner had commenced to taking orders at the register. I said to her that our experience at her shop had not been a good one. She told me she would make everything alright. She never acknowledged me after that, or made any effort to make up for our disappointing lunch, so we left. We were so looking forward to a nice and delicious lunch, but it was not to be... Edit to my review- When Gwendolyn says she will make it up to you, she means it!! The complimentary lunch she and manager Janet provided my mother and I exceeded my expectations! It was lovely and delicious, and I thank The Cake Bake Shop for satisfied tummies and happy hearts.

Came here for a baby shower. They have a private room you can reserve for parties. The staff were so nice and attentive to our needs. They even kept an eye out for a friend who showed up late to help her find us and order food. The food was delicious. The only negative thing is the coconut cream pie, which wasn't great. EVERYTHING else was delicious. The staff even helped us take pictures at the end.

Two friends took me to the Cake Bake for my birthday. Ordered the chicken salad and it was delicious. Reservations were made to sit at the window so we could watch the decorating, etc of the cakes. That was very disappointing ... there were plastic containers and cake pans piled up so we couldn't see the decorating. All we were really able to see was the cakes being taken out of their pans ... not very pleasant to watch that for over an hour. While the chicken salad was delicious the brownie was dry.

The environment is so refreshing and adorable. Faux flowers are all over the place giving it a very spring feel regardless of the time of year. The cakes are delicious. The wait time is sometimes a little long, even if you're ordering to go, but it's completely worth it! I love bringing friends here for special occasions!

What they do they do very well well. The cakes are fantastic. Well worth the $10-15 per slice. They are big enough to share. Great selection of teas. They also have wines and champagne. They also have coffee, beer, juices, and milk. If you have a girly girl, princess, or queen your life they will love this place. They have a some other foods but I've not yet tried them. It all looks fantastic.

UPDATE: Went back and reordered the Chicken Velvet Soup, and was pleasantly surprised to receive and very large bowl full of soup and a big chunk of bread. Cake was super moist and delicious and service was greatly improved. Five stars for this visit! Day 2 of your Carmel location and overall experience was okay/good but not great. Don’t get me wrong, the place is beautiful, the cake and food are delicious, but there are a lot of things that need work and tweaking to make this place great and worth the money. First: customer service is lacking.... I know there were probably a lot of new hires for this location and it will take time to get everything running smoothly, but after my table of 5 was seated, we waited.... and waited... until finally one of us had to hunt down a waiter who had no clue who was supposed to wait on us, and we were handed off to an already overwhelmed waiter.... who spent the entire time telling us he was brand new and had no idea if anything that we wanted to order was available. I asked for a cocktail recommendation: he had no clue what was good- even told me so. Meanwhile all the Instagram stars were made sure to be helped. For example, I asked for a slice of the pink birthday cake to go (to take home to hubby) and he said he’d have to check if they even had it. My friend asked for another cake slice to go as well and she got the same response. For a newly opened cake store, considering you’re going to be very busy these first few weeks, not having cake readily available should NOT be a happening. Plus you’ve been working on opening this place for a long time.... was the staff not prepared? Second: let’s talk about the price of your food. I get that this place is specialty and fancy and you’ve got to make up for the millions you’ve poured into making this place sparkle, but when I order the chicken velvet soup with a half baguette, I am not expecting to receive what is barely a cup of soup and two small slices of baguette bread all for $13. $13 for a cup of soup??? $13 for barely anything? The prices alone are enough to make me want to never come back, but I’m willing to dish out the money if portion sizes are at least worth the money! Instead I’m left with empty pockets and wishing I had more food. And sure I’ll fill up on cake.... but it’s the principle of the matter. This is America, not France. I want my money’s worth. Overall, I’m sure I’ll be back someday.... but not until this place gets their act together, makes sure to give customers the experience that they are paying for, and will have to take care to not get ripped off while eating here.

Great for pre-made cakes. Nice atmosphere. I am giving this place a low rating because of my experience. We ordered a cake for our daughter's birthday. They even insisted I come in to the store if possible to talk about the cake. When I stopped by they basically told me to pay in advance and that I would be called to discuss the decoration. Nobody called, me back. Despite calling several times and trying to communicate our preferences for its design it was basically a chocolate cake no different from what they serve in the display. When I mentioned that it was not really decorated as we had discussed I was basically told "tough luck." The cake was otherwise great. If my order was not important to them I wish they would have said something and I would have gladly gone to another small business instead.

We went here for a private dining experience and all I have to say is that it was a let down. It was incredibly overpriced, and the food wasn’t great either. For a party of about 20, the bill was nearing 1.6k. The food was awfully tasteless and their peppermint hot chocolate quite literally tastes like the soup of chicken ramen noodles. The candycane cake though was quite good. I loved it however the buttercream icing was somewhat tasteless and the decorations that were piped on top were made of only butter like ???? The decorations were to die for though. This place would be amazing for pictures and gives you the feel of an old magical Christmas.

Everything is so well decorated, and my daughter absolutely loves the bakery window to watch the bakers. As far as the baked goods go, everything we tried was perfect! The most amazing- incredible- impeccable attention to detail!!!! The building is 5 star the wait staff 5 star- You feel like you are in France or somewhere dreamy- !!! I went today with my mom and it was such a delight - we sat on the porch overlooking the fountain with wooden windows opened to a nice breeze. I had the chance to speak to the owner and she was very sweet and down to earth. Carmel is lucky to have this wonderful dining experience- I will tell everyone I know it is a must- Love Love Love this place!!!!

Absolutely beautiful esthetics. It is like stepping into a fairytale. Food is delicious, very simple and portion sizes are perfect. The cakes are delicious. You cannot go wrong with any of their chocolate cakes. They are so rich. The only complaint I have is, their dishes are all chipped. Not a little bit off a small corner. I mean, they are chipped all the way around their bowls and plates. This cheapens the experience no doubt. It gets loud and rowdy in there, because the space is small and no one keeps an indoor voice level. Overall it is difinetly a place to go visit for either a meal or dessert.

The ambiance is spectacular, a work of art at every turn. The raspberry champagne cake was delectable, fluffy, light, and creamy. One complaint is the lack of seating. It made for an intimate setting, however, limits the amount of people that can experience such an impressive atmosphere and creates a hectic process to order desserts.

I was skeptical visiting this shop because of the reviews I read but I have to say I was very pleased with my experience. It was so crowded and a long waiting list so my husband and I got a few slices to go. However the place is designed so beautifully and although expensive, the cake and cookies we purchased were top quality, fresh and rich. I don't know if it's good enough for me to crave again but I am most certainly going to try the "Tea Time" at a later date for the experience.

My significant other has always loved coming here for their Millionaire Cake on her birthday. Once we moved away from Indianapolis, she was upset that she wouldn't ever get to eat another Millionaire Cake again. But thankfully, The Cake Bake Shop is able to ship cakes across the country! While my initial cake ordering and shipment experience wasn't ideal, The Cake Bake Shop's customer service team (specifically Cindy and Shelby) was very understanding and helped rectify the situation. I will continue to order a Millionaire Cake for my significant other's birthday from now. Thank you again! P.S. If you plan on ordering a cake for shipping, be sure to get Next Day Air to avoid any headaches.

I've had two 5-star experiences in Broadripple, but the Carmel location left something to be desired last night which was really disappointing. As the prices are significantly higher than the older location, I was expecting great service along with great food. It took 3 hours for a party of 4 to get through (and we did have a reservation) from appetizers to our to-go dessert. Our to-go cake and bills took pretty close to 45 minutes to get to us from order to exit. They were out of several drinks and desserts, and one of our party had a small piece of wrapper/paper in her soup which was met with a 'huh.' from the waiter and no offers to exchange her soup or get a manager, etc. I understand growing pains, I understand there will be hiccups as it's a new location but the waiter did not apologize or really acknowledge that this was less than ideal. We asked for to-go bags since he'd just handed us all a bunch of containers sans bags and it took flagging him down as he hurried past to finally get our bags and get out. The food WAS great. The location IS beautiful, but for what I paid, I also expect top shelf service and it was really lacking. I would suggest hiring more waitstaff ASAP as there were several frustrated tables around us too. I'll stick to Broadripple.

I stumbled upon this place after doing a Google search for a bakery. I was originally looking for a cake for my husband's birthday, but we decided to celebrate in person instead due to the raving reviews. We booked our reservation a few days ahead of time and were immediately seated once we arrived which is a huge relief with a toddler. The shop was very hectic which was expected based off the previous warnings from other reviewers; even before an hour until close (9:00 PM reservation on Friday night). We sat next to the window that faces the street. I enjoyed the privacy in such a small space and the hostess was able to squeeze in a high chair at our table. It was adorable! After getting settled, the 3 of us (son, husband, myself) were able to bask in the decorations. This place truly looks magical - almost like a realm of Alice in Wonderland. I absolutely loved the atmosphere and appreciate the work that went into it. From the chair pillows to the hues of pink flowers, it is really a sight that you have to see in person! At every restaurant I go to, I inspect the cutlery. It was cleaned "ok", I was expecting a tad bit more cleanliness based off the froufrou atmosphere. The white linen napkins were great. The water glass was a bit dirty with a "taste of water spots". There were also water spots on the fork and cake knife; and my knife had a chip in the blade. My impression slightly faded, but we were there for the cake just like everyone else. The water was presented at the table in a shared glass bottle; which I liked the European touch. I was not a fan of the water because of the taste and temperature; but after eating half of a cake serving, you are going to need it! We ordered Gwendolyn’s Famous Earl’s Court Chocolate Cake (As Seen On Food Network), Tiramisu Cake, Raspberry Champagne Cake, and Mixed Berry Cheesecake. For drinks, my husband had the sweet tea and my son had the lemonade. I personally had the Elderflower & Grapefruit Mimosa which is a European (and British Royal) favorite. It was fitting for the atmosphere! Our total cost for our visit was $76 which included an $8+ tip. Let me tell you why it was worth every penny. When I first laid eyes on the Mint Chocolate Chip Cake online, I knew that I was in for a special treat in person. If this single cake was good enough for Oprah, then surely the bakery as a whole was good enough for me. When the cakes made their entrance to the table, they were plated well and portioned right for the price. All of the desserts except for the Tiramisu cake was for my husband (which I deeply regret). I bit into my cake and it immediately made me emotional. You can taste the hard work, pride, and every bit of special that goes into these cakes! I have never liked buttercream but this place has made me a believer. It was worth every penny. With another glass of champagne, I dare say that each bite of cake would have been tear-jerking. The desserts are also toddler-approved as I heard a lot of "Mmm, yummy!" that night. I am still going through withdrawals 2 days later over these desserts and am envious that I did not purchase anything to-go like my husband did. I got to sneak a bite of the chocolate and raspberry cakes, and both were an experience to try! Having this experience is so bittersweet because now I need to budget a visit at least once a month. I almost had a heart attack seeing a PB&J for $5.50! The prices are high but you really have to think about the experience and quality that you will receive. No matter what, I can say with confidence that Gwendolyn's cakes are the best that I have ever had in my entire life. I am forever a customer!

One of the best dessert shop i have ever visited. They put love in every piece of dessert and the taste is amazing. The earl's court cake is a decadent rich triple layer chocolate cake, with a spritz of Kosher salt. I also tried the hot chocolate (Chaud) and a cup of Cafe Au lait. Very smooth and rich flavor coffee and the hot chocolate had real chocolate in it and not that powdered flavor you get from other shops.

It all depends on expectations with this place. If you go during a busy time like anytime Saturday or Sunday it's going to be a long wait. If you hate super girly things and glitter this is not the place for you. If you want to splurge on a treat with someone special then you'll probably have a great experience. I ate outside today with my 2.5 year old daughter and Mom and we had a lovely time. Wait staff is very friendly and helpful. I had the quiche of the day and while it was $12 it was more than enough for me and I was really hungry. If you do end up eating inside it can be quite chilly even in summer so bring a jacket or sweater.

I hosted a Bachelorette Party at the Cake Bake Shop because it came highly recommended by friends who live in the area. I was coming up from North Carolina and had to plan everything from a distance and I was super nervous about the details coming together. I was BLOW AWAY at how well everything was taken care of, the lovely interior, the service, and the understanding from the owner when the conversation grew loud and a little off color. Not once were we asked to keep it down, or treated as though we were being disrespectful, they simply closed the little doors between the public and our group. I NEVER would have received service like that in North Carolina and I was so very appreciative! This is an amazing place to host a party and they take great care of their customers!

Very dreamy and beautiful place. Takes you to a fairy land. I would give five ⭐️ for the ambience and customer service. I was expecting more from this place after all the hype and the price. But their chocolate cake was very ordinary and was not even a moist cake. It was very sugary. I have had better tasting chocolate cakes before. Their tiramisu was nothing like tiramisu. My favorite is their Boston cream cake. It was very very delicious 3 layered cake filled with custard and ganache with just the right amount of sweetness.Also the quiche was delicious. Will definitely visit again for the service, ambience and Boston cream cake.

I've tried a few different cake slices here. One of them was the best piece of cake that I have ever eaten. But, this shop was not intended for my type of person. Wear your best clothes, pretend that you have money to burn and poise your pinkie finger in the air whilst sipping your tea. This shop was opened to make money, lots of it. The Cake Bake is a cute expensive bakery. It comes with small touches which makes the experience fun. The service is slow, but that's because it's a popular place. The pastries can be better. The buttercream frosting is not flavorful, the cream on their pies is not light... Here everything is about presentation and flavor is second. The Cake Bake is a place where you should take people from out of town because it's an experience the cake Bake is offering, but it's not the best bakery in town.

Went with my wife to celebrate our 7 yr old granddaughter's birthday. Place is nice and cozy a little too small for my liking. I felt a little claustrophobic and it was hard having a conversation because I could everyone else and unless I whispered they could probably hear me too. Just felt like I was right upon everyone like setting in a sports stadium. Worse actually. It is nice place but as a heterosexual male I wouldn't go on my own. Large selection of cakes and pies. Not much in the way of beverages, although they did have the usual coffee and espresso drinks.

If you like frills or have a sweet tooth, you won't be disappointed! This place has just about every gourmet dessert imaginable. They have very limited seating, so make sure you get a reservation. Parking is also limited. Service is.... Decent. On both of my visits, it seemed like many of the workers were still in training.

Nestled along a quiet street with a sign that is almost hidden (I didn't find the store on my first quest) is this wonderful little Parisian inspired shop. The shop smells so divine I'm almost surprised they don't charge admission. Despite the free admission you will find that everything is expensive. You will also find that the food is complex and amazing. I was amused that even the pink pens you use to sign credit cards slips matched perfectly. As my hero Miles Davis said, "To me, life and music are all about style."

This store is so beautifully decorated that it feels like a movie set. The cakes are a mile high, all the baked goods shimmer with a glittery dusting, huge jars of jelly beans and gumballs are scattered throughout. I dropped in strictly to try a piece of cake. I chose the Millionaire Cake - chocolaty and caramely, with chunks of shortbread cookies stuck in there. The size of the slice was daunting, but it was well-balanced with the sweetness not overwhelming and the frosting not overly heavy. When you want something sweet, this is the place to go! I'm usually a lover of meat and salty foods, but occasionally I'll eat a dessert if it looks good. And oh boy, was I pleased when I came in and saw egg nog cheesecake! These happen to be my two favorite sweets in one! After gawking at all the other sparkling and glittering cakes behind the glass, I placed my order and waited at one of the seats near the moving albino reindeer which kept looking at me. When the cheesecake came, it was even better than expected. It tasted just like egg nog and had a nice crumbly crust. I wanted to eat the whole thing, but decided saving half would be in my best interest. The waitress brought me a study box and I enjoyed the rest that night. I can't wait to come back and try something else!

We did not make reservations, and there was a wait at 3:30pm in the afternoon, so we got carryout. I had the rose cappuccino, which was surprisingly tasty, and as the cake slices are huge, we split a slice of lemon blueberry cake. It was scrumptious!

You can notice this place right around the corner of the street, fabulous decoration inside out, very elegant and warm interior design. It makes you feel very special. It has a Ladurée vibe. My recommendation is to make reservation (call or online) in advance otherwise wait time will be anywhere from 30 min to several hours! Due to it's popularity in the media and small sqft its usually very, very crowded. It has a special(private) room ideal for bridal/baby showers that can accommodate 8-14ppl. Usually reservation for this party room (if the event is on the weekend) needs to be made couple weeks ahead. Cake portions are really large, it would be good enough to share with 2-3ppl. My favorite is millionaire cake. They also have different variety of hot/cold drinks. I personally recommend the rose latte.

So far ive had the Millionaire Cake, coconut cream cake, & a rose cappuccino. OMGOSH! BEST CAKE AROUND! They also use edible glitter. Yeah, it’s one of those places. The inner 5-year old girl in me SQUEALED. Picture perfect place (to take TONS OF PHOTOS), with fun drinks and delicious food (I just got a side salad that was arugula and lemon vinegarette with Parmesan, and it was plenty with half a piece of cake). Definitely VERY EXPENSIVE. But it is more of an experience than anything else, so worth it. Another time, I went and got the croque Monsieur. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. I’m still dreaming.

Nothing to write home about. Spent $25 for 2 slices of cake. The whipped frosting has no flavor and my cake was over baked and dry. Expected way more for the cost. Cheesecake Factory, Flying Cupcake, and Classic Cakes are far superior. I'd even rather have spent $19 for a whole sheetcake from Costco...their buttercream icing and cake have way more flavor. For $10-12 for 1 slice of cake, you expect to be blown away, not underwhelmed. 😩

My first time going to this bakery I thought it was super cute and elegant! They have a nice variety of treats and offer lunch. I ordered some macaroons(favorite cookie ever) and a slice of there napple an cake. The macro on were tasty, bit they were $3.50 a piece for a little cookie, and the cake was I believe $8-9. So this shop is pretty darn expensive. Although the cookies were good, the cake was a bit disappointing. The chocolate cake was very moist but the strawberry and vanilla layers were dry. I haven't tried everything there and this is to discourage anyone from going. But for there prices to be so high and their product to be just ok, I would go else were. And that is what I did. I went to Renne'S bakery right down the street from this shop. Renee'S isn't fancy at all but the pastries and other baked items are spoon good!!! And half the price that cake bake costs. I would highly suggest you go to both shops and judge for yourself. But don't let the glitz and glam fool you. It's always the places that don't look like much that have to best food, that's why I would recommend Renee'S bakery. You will not be disappointed, I promise!! I am now a regular customer!!!
