OMG! I hosted a couples wedding shower - casual event so wanted grab and eat desserts . Ordered custom cookies - amazing ! Cookies looked extremely professional, classy and exactly what I wanted! The cake pop tasted to die for - everyone thought they looked fantastic (groom tuxedo on one and wedding dressy for the other ) and were the best cake pops I’ve ever had! Wasn’t sure what to expect with the cake bites when I ordered them but they were also amazing! Small but mighty in flavor. The red velvet was super delicious and melted in my mouth. Everyone at the party loved the desserts ! Ordered online several weeks in advance , paid online and they were ready for pick up as planned . Not one single complaint. Gonna look for a reason to order desserts from here again even though it’s 50 minutes from my house. Super impressed with their business.

I have ordered two custom cakes from Sweet Escape now and they have knocked it out of the park with both cakes. Even when I think I know what the cake will look like, I am still shocked at just how beautiful the cakes turned out. The cakes themselves are easily 5 stars every time. The only reason for 4 stars is the ordering process. There is tons of communication but I have never received any sort of drawing or sketch or anything that gives me an idea of what the cake is going to look like. While they always turn out amazing, the first time I ordered, it was very nerve racking not knowing what the cake is going to look like until the day of the event. When you order, you provide inspiration photos but again, it can be hard to not know what you are going to end up with. They have exceeded every expectation in the end and the cakes are amazing.

I was not expecting to have another cake made. Customer service is truly caring and they want to to make things right. Speaks volume. The chocolate cake is absolutely incredible. The birthday cake I asked for was exactly what I got & it was good!!! The cake lasted less than 48 hours. 5 star on the design, 5 star on the taste & 5 star on the price. Minor issue, I sent a request to have “Birthday blessings Matthew” written on the round cardboard portion of the cake but it wasn’t there. No worries, again minor issues. I will continue to be a repeat customer!

I was able to order a 2 tier cake within 1 day and the cake was ready in just 7 days. I was prepared to spend $300 for my ideal cake but this company exceeded my expectations for far less which I appreciate. My son’s first birthday cake was beautiful and perfect. Very easy ordering process. I also like that the shop is closed to the public so you don’t have to worry about a lot of people being around your food during this pandemic. I’m so happy with the cake, it’s delicious too.

They made my daughter's 5th birthday one to remember! The cake was absolutely beautiful and perfectly matched the idea we had. Usually you have to compromise taste for looks but NO. This cake was absolutely delicious. I still crave it to this day. We will be coming here for all of our cake needs.. and with two little girls it will be frequently! Sweet Escape has the best sugar cookies with the cutest designs, delicious cupcakes and an amazing fondant (I will only eat this one because it is homemade). Delicious treats for any occasion. One can order sweet treats online, and pick them up at the store. The staff is very friendly and thorough. They make sure that the amount of treats in the pickup order matches the original order placed online.

Sweet escapes did our wedding cake. They did exactly what we said on decorating the cake, but when it came to fillings they put in the wrong ones. The decorator did not know which filling flavor we wanted so instead of calling us she just chose a filling from our tasting. I have been looking forward to this cake since before I got engaged, and it did not exactly live up to my expectations. Another thing is that they did not necessarily ask about our cake topper which was heavier than most and it was unsupported and ended up falling and ruining the back of the cake. Also at our wedding cake tasting I paid to try six flavors and when we arrived there was only three. If I didn't speak up I would have not gotten to try my six. I expressed my concerns with the bakery about the wrong fillings and everything and they gave us a partial refund, and a free two tiered cake with our correct wedding flavors. Which was very generous of them and highly appreciated. Although when they asked which flavors I wanted I only expected to get a one tier cake and not two tiers. This was generous, but made it much harder to get home. I give them my score because their cakes tasted amazing and their customer service is fantastic, but they do not look over their customers orders very well.

Purchased this cake for a good friend who has a Halloween birthday. She prefers the fall themed cakes to actual Halloween cakes, so I asked SECC to create a fall themed cake with pumpkins and leaves and they took it from there. The result was absolutely fantastic! She stated it was the prettiest and best tasting cake she has ever had. Chocolate cake with caramel filling. Delicious! I definitely would recommend SECC to anyone looking to have a custom cake made!

Not only was the cake everything we could have ever dreamed of, but it tasted incredible and was a huge hit for our guests! Amazing people! It was my first time ordering a custom cake, technically two, and everyone was very attentive to our needs and were able to work with me in a time crunch. The cakes were perfect, the taste and designs. If I could, I'd rate them 100 stars. Lesson learned though, make sure to order in 2-3 weeks in advance. They were very helpful and understanding, but I was very lucky that they weren't completely booked.

Ordering was easy (follow the online ordering directions): fill out the form, uploaded pictures of the Triumph motorcycle logo, Triumph III GT Rocket, and a picture from Pinterest for inspiration. They responded within 2 hours. I approved the order details and paid using my phone. Very Easy! Picked up the cake during Saturday business hours and followed the directions they provided as we celebrated on Sunday. It was PERFECT! The cake was so moist and and the caramel filling was delicious! The detail of the Rocket III GT motorcycle on top was AMAZING! You will not be disappointed! I would give them a 10 start review!

Reached out to Sweet Escapes from VA for delivery of cupcakes for my son who turned 16 while at the National FFA convention. I also reached out to numerous other bakeries. Sweet escapes was one of only two to respond. The other one would not deliver due to the size of the order. Sweet escapes had 6,000 cookies to bake for this event as well but still managed to deliver 2 dozen cupcakes to my son’s hotel for his group to celebrate his birthday. This mama is forever grateful.

Just like last year, presentation was undeniably gorgeous!! However, I heard from more than 1 person the cake was dry 😐 I had to taste for myself and unfortunately had to agree. I was slightly disappointed but the presentation was a huge hit. So, we are 50/50 on our experiences now and will have to decide if we will try again on her 17th birthday 🎂

Overall: Great cake given in a time crunch, with a great price to match! The good: We reached out to Sweet Escape with a relatively easy request, but on a pretty tight timeline (10 days or so). We explained our request and were given exactly what we wanted, and at a great price compared to other bakeries with similar options. We got lemon cake and cheesecake filling, which was divine! The not-so-good: The communication leading up to an invoice was a bit lacking and could use some improvement. Our cake came in a half-opened box because it was 2-tiered, which led to some makeshift covers when we got home. [Update: The owner has since reached out regarding the box] And, the website could also use a refresh, especially with COVID and a lot of remote business.

I'm very impressed with Sweet Escape Cake Company. This is the first time I have used this company to do a cake for my daughter's birthday party. When I sent them a picture of the cake and cupcakes that I wanted, they informed me that orders are taken 3 to 4 weeks in advance to make a cake with such detailed work. But they told me they can do a simpler version of the Disney cake I wanted. Since I only had two days left for the birthday party, I agreed although I was worried. Well, they did a SUPERB job with the cake, it was BEAUTIFUL and so were the matching cupcakes!! I made a good decision and look forward to ordering from them in the future.

This bakery is a hidden gem on the south side of Indianapolis!! We discovered them last year when looking for a cookie cake for my niece's birthday. The cookie was absolutely DELICIOUS, not like those pre-made, half-stale cookies you get at most grocery store bakeries. We recently ordered two more cookie cakes from them and they did NOT disappoint! Both were gorgeously decorated and so, so yummy! Our family loves this bakery. So far, we have only experienced cookie cakes, but I have no doubt that their excellence spills over into all their other offerings as well. Highly recommend!!

But after tasting the cupcakes, I'd drive twice as far next time if I had to!! We had a custom order for a birthday cake and it came out exactly as how we had envisioned it. The issue we had was it came in a half opened box and plastic wrap to accommodate the decorations on the top. Due to the box, part of the crown decoration got damaged. If they gave a taller box, this issue would not have happened. Reducing one star for that. But I must say, the cake not only looked great, it tasted great as well!

What an amazing job! So talented. They were able to duplicate the image I sent in EXACTLY! This was my first cake ordered through sweet escapes, I have ordered many high detail fondant cakes over the years. It is a rare to find a bakery that does such great detail work and is delicious! The fondant was perfect thickness and tasted great, some bakeries are way too thick with the fondant or it tastes bad. The cake was moist and yummy. Good sharp edges, and easy to cut! With Covid-19 ruining every plan that I had for my daughter's birthday I wanted to be able to give her the cake she wanted. I contacted several places who all told me that they couldn't help me. I contacted Sweet Escape via email with a picture of what my daughter wanted. Not only did they help me last minute make my daughter's birthday amazing but they made this momma very happy to have found them. The cake tasted amazing and Scott even helped me pick a filling for the cake to make it taste even better. The price was reasonable for what I got. I am forever grateful for all of their help and my daughter's smile proved that they are an amzing cake company.

WOW! I called on a Monday morning, normally closed on Mondays, the gentleman was so nice to me and my request. I had forgotten about my wife's birthday cake. She loves Carrot cake with Cream Cheese Icing. He offered to bake me a 10" 2 layer round carrot cake and have it ready in 2 hrs. This cake weighed a ton! I'm not big on Carrot cake but this one was over the top. The icing on the cake was by far true Cream Cheese Icing. Not the sugary stuff you normally get. He is a master at baking. They are more of a Wedding or special occasion bakery. #1 in my book if you're looking for a cake you'll enjoy every bite.
