Simply awesome. A perfect blend of family and adult atmosphere - bring the kids for donuts and games in the morning and come back in the afternoon/evening for beers with friends. Unique donut combinations based around yeasted donuts. The "black and tan" was one of the best donuts we've had (chocolate mouse filling, caramel topping). The space is very open (+ tall ceilings) so it didn't feel cramped. The beer selection is mostly local and quite unique. The game selection is awesome and you always have the option to bring your own. Excited to come back in summer to try the patio seating. This is a MUST TRY donut place in the Indy area!

It's a little expensive but so is everything these days. If you want places like this to exist you have to support them. That being said, they have some of the best doughnuts I've eaten and plenty of boardgames to try. Definitely a place I'll bring friends to on a special occasions

This place is amazing. I randomly saw it when I was in the area and wanted to try it. I bought the Caramel macchiato, blueberry cheesecake, glaze, strawberry lemonade and scotch brownie donuts. Omg! They are ALL so good. I definitely will be coming back.

I had a very good first experience at this place. The coffee was excellent (black drip) and needed no additives. The Hawaiian doughnut was very tasty! Even though I dislike coconut, the lightly toasted flakes added a touch of a crunch to a soft and fluffy doughnut. The caramel macchiato doughnut wasn't too impressive but it still was worth a try. I couldn't really taste the caramel flavor in the glaze but it could have been because my mouth was still enjoying the pineapple icing on the Hawaiian doughnut. Anyway, give this place a try. And make it a dine-in experience because you will regret not taking at least a half dozen home.

Love the place and how great the service is! Literally could spend all day playing board games with friends!! Doughnuts are on the pricy side and wish they offered more varieties aside from doughnuts, but that's just me. Would definitely recommend!

The donuts were absolutely delicious. The caramel macchiato donut surprised me. I’ve never seen a place get a coffee flavor so spot on. It also wasn’t overpowering, but still strong enough to enjoy. Also a great place to play games as they have many selections. I honestly might come back for a birthday party with a group of my friends later this year. It’s 4 dollars to play per person (1 buck for 13 and under) but it gives you unlimited access to a plethora of games for as long as you want which is a great deal. 100% recommend.

What a great place to build community. Doughnuts are my brother's favorite and definitely delicious although I lean gluten free- could be awesome to have one or two of those options (fried not cake!) and to build on the coffee/drink selection. There is no end to the possibility for what game you can play here. I think this space has unlimited potential for creating cozier corners, fun events, and themed decor.

My daughter and I were driving to Michigan and spent the night in Indianapolis and happened to see this doughnut shop when we realized panera was closed inside (she is a gamer )so we decided to get some doughnuts, so glad we did! We only bought one of the butterbeer doughnuts but we wished we had bought a dozen those were the best doughnuts EVER!!!! MMMM...YUMMY, If we are ever in the area again we will definitely stop in again 😋

Love Donuts and Dragons. If there was one thing I would add it would be a savory donut to the mix? Beer and sweets are good every once in a blue moon. But a nice savory donut could really be a nice offering. Wonderful staff and atmosphere.

Tried another new donut place at 82nd and Dean.. donuts are rich in taste, are obviously not simple donuts. There is simple glazed yeast but thats as simple as it gets. If your looking for a simple jelly filled, or cream filled you may be out of luck. They have coffee.. but nothing fancy at all, cold or hot. Big beer selection and games you have to reserve to play. Every one is very kind. I enjoyed the sketching of characters. Donut prices 1.50- 4.50. Find a coupon in the neighborhood pack in the mail.. so the price tag doesn't hit so hard. They aren't busy so simple in and out or sit and eat.

Absolutely love this place! The atmosphere is great, and the prices are reasonable. They have a lot of gourmet doughnut flavors, which rotate seasonally. Their events are always fun! Great place for a night out with friends or family if you like board games.

They have a Hawaiian donut none of the donuts anywhere. I've ever tasted could top that one but then when it comes to their white cream Long. John, the white cream. I've never had it kind of runny before and the chocolate. I've never had it runny before either but they were both runny so it was a mess and flavor just did not taste right. It was good but not like it should have been

There are a wide array of delicious pastries (including a butterbeer yeast donut), a sizable spread of beers both local and national, and an amazing level of service. The game library here is excellent and well maintained. Played spirit island with some friends over some beers and a donut or two. I can't wait to come back and have more delicious beer and doughnuts.

The idea of a café that rents out games is great, and Doughnuts & Dragons improved the idea even more with beer and doughnuts. They had a wide variety of games, and very fun ideas for doughnuts. Everyday there are new doughnuts, so you can experiment with flavors. The staff are lovely as well. An all-in-all great experience.

Every single doughnut was amazing!!!! Best doughnuts we have had in Indy!!!! Harvest peach, blueberry lemon basil, Hawaiian, cookie n’cream, Hibiscus ginger and coffee twist are AMAZING!!! I didn't expect good doughnuts but they were great. Airy and fluffy with great taste. They have a wide wine and beer selection and a great game selection. Games are $1 a person which is a great price because they have to maintain games and buy new ones. The atmosphere was wonderful. It was crowded but not noisy or over stimulating just a happy background noise. It was great to see people of all ages playing games of all types. There is a call button on the table to get service or get the bill. Which felt awkward at first but it works great. I only wish this was closer to my house. Thanks for the great visit.

Had a great time here with a group of friends. The donuts are good and not terribly overpriced... they have some staples but also some unique flavors, like the Guinness mint chocolate cake donut. They serve beer but they also have a decent selection of non-alcoholic beverages... gamers especislly will appreciate the Mountain Dew Code Red available. They also have an extensive library of games but people can also bring their own. Service was friendly and the place just looks nice and inviting. Overall great experience!

This place is truly unique. I love their concept of a place to play games, eat doughnuts, and drink beer if that's your thing. They have a great selection of beer, ciders and wine. Their game selection is massive with in house explanations of the rules at every table. The doughnuts were not the best I've had but they were unique. Update August 2020: Doughnuts & Dragons is open for doughnut take-out! Board-game playing is not yet allowed, as a precaution against COVID-19. The legendary Turtle Cheesecake doughnut has been discontinued for a while, but the Hawaiian is a worthy successor. Also, D&D has become a Pokestop! I stopped by this new place earlier today, intrigued by the name. Post-entry, I was further intrigued by the spaciousness of the place - perhaps the most spacious doughnut shop I've ever seen. Plenty of tables and comfortable seating, and two walls thickly stocked with board games of all sorts. (Customers are welcome to play the games, as described already in other reviews.) Two customers were already enjoying a mid-day game of chess. I purchased two doughnuts, and after they were gone, two more to go. My favorite: the Blueberry-stuffed Lemon-Basil glazed. Very tasty and flavorful, sweet without being overbearing. D&D has a very nice ambience, and very good doughnuts! Also, it was *clean.* There are many good places to eat in this part of Indianapolis, and each has its own niche. For doughnuts, 3838 E. 82nd St. is the place to go!

These are incredibly good doughnuts. The doughnuts are created by a trained pastry chef. Simple yet extravagant. Words fail me. Consuming the caramel macchiato is like eating a coffee drink. The butter beer donut takes me to Diagon Alley. Seriously the best.

What a wonderful doughnut shop! The Butter Beer cake doughnut was on splendid, with just enough glaze to let the cake shine through. The Cookie Butter yeast doughnut was satisfying. The flavor is not something that I really prefer but the yeast doughnut itself was marvelous! It was fluffy yet dense, with a wonderful texture that you can only find in a doughnut made with care. Doughnuts & Dragons has a wonderful selection of beer and wine. In an area like Castleton where the norm is for restaurants to have 30+ beers on tap, I was glad to see them not only follow suit but to have a decent variety of unique beers. To top all of this off, they have huge selection of board games! They have 50+ games for you to play and multiple copies of each.

This place has it all! Donuts, over 100 board games to choose from, and an unbelievable selection of drinks on tap! Donut prices are 1.75-2.50 ea and you get 20% off when you purchase a dozen. Donuts are made fresh in house with REAL fruits and were RAVED about by everybody I shared them with. Circle city Kombucha on tap if you’re there too early for a brew. Can’t wait to come back, Angie was awesome!!!

Hawaiian dole whip donut.!!Best office anyone could ask for. Lots of natural lot, cool industrial feel, big tables, couches and chairs if you want something softer. Doughnuts are great. Some how crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Wish they served more breakfast foods but other thant that. I love it.

Very impressed with the donut selection and they were as tasty as they looked. The lemon basil and white chocolate raspberry donut were most excellent, but all were very good. Would definitely like to return post covid for family fun gaming and donuts, and a pint. Staff was very friendly. Highly recommend grabbing a dozen and a bullet of your favorite beer to support these guys during the pandemic. Very much looking forward to the return trip! Maybe next time, they will have a less "pedestrian" Tripel on tap and it will be a five star experience. 😉

This place is great. There are a lot of large tables and is a great place to hang out with friends. I went on opening day. It will be exciting to see how they grow. Update: I did not love the donuts opening day. They were less sweet than I was expecting. I came again in November and they had added to their selection. We had the Classic Glazed and White Chocolate Cranberry and loved them!

Some top-notch donuts. Sad that the northside can’t seem to keep a gourmet donut place in business. Hopefully this one withstands the pandemic. The chocolate ganache on the plain ol’ chocolate with sprinkles was pretty amazing. We really liked all of the donuts except for the pumpkin spice latte one. The coffee flavor was just kind of off putting. But that’s just a matter of personal preference, of course. Any of the ones with the lemon glaze were just top-notch. Added a nice touch of sour to the other flavors involved. It was 9 AM on a Sunday when we went so I didn’t get a chance to experience the bar. But they seem to have a lot of beer on tap and a lot of games ready to be played when we eventually unlock. Staff was very friendly and enthusiastic. Go support this place so they can stay with us!

A wonderful concept, beautifully executed. They had a nice selection of doughnut flavors and they were all delish. They also had a large variety of games in the game library that were available to rent for a very small fee. The "menu" for the games gave a description, category, gameplay type, and difficulty rating to each of the games, which will help you decide which game might be for you. We will definitely be back and hope in time that they are able to expand on their concept by offering other food and drink selections.

Ive been wanting to check this place out! On Saturday since I was running some errands and I didn’t want a full breakfast I decided to pop in here. Located in what once was a benni Hana style place you can now find doughnuts and dragons, the staff is very friendly and prompt and the location is clean and welcoming. All the donuts are home made in the back and on display in the front so you can put a “face” to a name, I decided to go for the cannoli donut, it was pretty good! Cream filled with chocolate and covered in pistachios. D and D also has a coffee selection but I decided to go with the circle city kombucha ginger lemon. A whole wall is devoted to craft beers, instead of going local I tried the rheingist nitro stroberry, tasty place I’ll be back for more donuts and maybe some game play

We had a lovely visit. The board game selection is excellent and I love their summon the server by pushing a button. Our server was friendly and attentive. We both found tasty beers we hadn't tried before and from the well curated beer list. I wish the hours were more consistent though and I wish they were open later. Covid has surely played a big role in this, but my wife and I had a running joke that we would never get to visit because every time we would decide to visit they would be closed. All in all, I am very happy D&D exists and I look forward to our next visit.

This is probably the best donut I have ever eaten! The lemon one was delightful and the mulled cherry donut will make you beg for more! Honest truth time.. and why I seriously wonder about some people’s taste. You can’t hate anything about this place except one thing, one little major thing. The atmosphere is outstanding. Clean, welcoming, spacious and more. All around screams a great environment. Who doesn’t love the idea of having some sugar filled snacks, a few beers, board games and good friends! The name is clever as well. How could anything go wrong with this place? Let me explain. The donuts are really not that good. I wonder if those who claim they’re tasty or the best donut they’ve ever had in their reviews have ever had a donut before? I ordered a random dozen, to get a generalized flavor grouping, and was very unimpressed. Majority of the donuts were flavorless or had so much going on they missed the mark. Not even a top 5 donut place in Indy or surrounding areas, in my opinion. I may catch a lot of flak for this review but it’s honest.

Today was first time here. There are all kinds of gourmet or what might be described as upscale donut shops sprouting up all over the place. I like most of them. However D&D is a notch above everywhere I’ve been. I had the Hawaiian donut today. Ridiculous! The donut is light, not heavy, plenty of cream filling, icing and toasted coconut! Crazy good! The facility itself is really attractive. Staff, super nice! Enjoy your morning, enjoy their coffee and dine in! When you dine in you realize they have a reasonable beer selection and that the place is also where you can go and play board games!! Whaaaaaaat…..Definitely coming back for donuts, and maybe for some Battleship and beer!!

I’m not normally a donut person but met up with friends here and had to get one. They’re so delicious! Also great service and a really nice place to play games. Plenty of room between tables and they even have some tables outside. Really reasonable prices for donuts and games. And it wasn’t too busy even on a Friday night. We will be back for sure.

All the staff is so kind and courteous. They are so welcoming. I can’t recommend this place enough. You can bring in your own games or reserve a table for a party. Our family really enjoys our time here. There are no changing tables though.

Doughnuts and Dragons was an experience! This is their current line up of doughnuts. I selected the cookies and cream, white chocolate raspberry, coffee braid, and butter beer. They also have several choices of beer on tap. It looks like before covid they had an array of games you could use while you eat or drink. They told me due to covid that you could bring your own games to play. I will definitely be going back soon! They have sanitizer for your use as you enter and exit the shop. You also are required to wear a mask when not seated (this is great for those who are high risk or are worried about exposure). All employees were following this policy. They were super attentive and answered all my questions. They also informed me they would eventually have take home containers for their beer on tap. This place has something for everyone! ☺️

The donuts were fantastic and very well priced. We got 6 donuts for $13. We didn't try the beer since we were there early. We were bummed that the games were closed off but now we know we will just bring our own. Its a nice big place with plenty of room for bigger groups too.

This might be controversial, but these are the BEST donuts in Indy, hands down, no holds barred. The modern take on flavor combinations while maintaining classic style is truly awesome. I am always pleasantly surprised by the variety of options available and can never pick just one or two. They use quality ingredients, and so are very much worth the calories! The first time I bit into a chocolate cream stick, I was instantly transported back to a childhood memory of getting Sunday donuts with my grandparents. So, with that hit of nostalgia, they have a huge fan right here. The staff is incredibly kind and courteous every time I come in. The atmosphere is spacious, and the hospitality welcoming and inclusive!

If you haven't tried it yet, you need to! They have delicious flavors and they vary their menu so it's always a fun surprise to see what you might get. Some of the flavors that I've LOVED so far are cookies n cream, butter beer, peach, blackberry cheesecake, strawberry chocolate, salted caramel. There's more but that's all I remember from recent visits. The atmosphere on site is also perfect for gaming, but I have to admit I've only made it there for the food so far.

Where else can you get fresh gourmet doughnuts and dragons, right? Have a board game, bring a board game or play (rent) the house games, it's your choice and it will be a good time. Besides a dozen style of doughnuts they have 20+ draught beer selections in addition to coffee, soda and other soft beverages. We spent several hours there playing games we brought and it was all very casual and had a good time. Staff was available as we needed them and were very unobtrusive and friendly. Planning future trips with coworkers and friends.

This place is amazing!!! A great place to hang out with friends and play a game and have a couple drinks. There is like a server button on the tables that you can press and they come to your table so that way they don't bother you during game play asking if you want refills or something. And their donuts, oh my God they are so good!!! So moist and delicious. Probably some of the best donuts I've ever had! I will definitely be telling everyone I meet about this place and will be coming back for sure!!

Truly one of the more unique spots in Indy. Not only do they have a good beer selection and great craft donuts, but being able to try such a wide variety of games for only $10/hour as of the time of writing this is an absolute steal. Whether you want to get the family together and play a classic or have an adults night and play a board game that would cost $100- to purchase it, there's something here for everyone.

This place is pretty awesome! The doughnuts are unique and tasty! There weren't vegan options, but there was a good selection of beer/coffee for our vegan friends. Due to covid, if you plan to play any of their board games, you need to reserve a room. You can always bring your own games though!

Cool little place. More for adults than toddlers. The nitro brew coffee is not an espresso cup of coffee but infused with nitro. My husband liked it. All workers were so sweet and helpful!!

Really fun environment and had a good selection of beer, wine, and ciders. Staff was very laid back and nice. I kept debating between 3 and 4 stars because the donuts were similar to a Kroger bakery quality and tasted stale. Since it's in their name, was hoping they'd be a lot better. I’m from Columbus, OH and was in town (Indianapolis) to visit my sister. I was curious to go into Donuts and Dragons (the name is great, and it looks like an awesome environment). My sister and I came in and ordered two donuts. The donuts are fantastic! The employees were extremely friendly. The place is a great chill space to relax with friends and or family and ALSO you can play any of their great board games they have available. 10/10. I’ll be back!

I wasn't impressed. They had a great game selection, but compared to the pictures I saw of the donuts, they didn't have any sort of variety, and they hadn't been opened that long that day. The two chocolate donuts I tasted were both dark chocolate, and I don't like dark chocolate. They weren't even advertised as dark chocolate, so that was a huge disappointment.

Classic gamers, board game rulers, and scrabble title holders, unite! This place is awesome. As someone who grew up playing board games and rp games religiously, this place is a breath of fresh air. Arcades are great, but nothing beats sitting down somewhere quite with a coffee (or even a beer!), and playing a classic game. They offer everything from candy land, to monopoly, or even more engrossing games like the Forbidden series. The donuts taste amazing too. I think I tried one of each and they all had an amazing texture. If you’re on the fence about going inside, just do it. I’m so glad I did

Such a unique experience. Sit wherever you would like, and at each spot is a custom menu with the sigil embossed on the front. Each table has a wireless remote to summon a waiter or waitress to order anything from. The menu has unique donuts of course, but also a plethora of beers, coffees, and even chocolate milk. Family friendly for sure. Also in the book has a list of all the games available with a custom rating system to assist in choosing the next adventure. Very clean atmosphere and the people and staff are very friendly. Heads up, there is a $1 per person game fee per night, but that $1 is unlimited games. Be sure to order the games from the workers as it's polite to follow their guidelines, and just fun to "order" a game! Highly recommend anyone to visit.

The counter staff was stand out, friendly and welcoming and chatted about the Junior Gold bowling tournament when they noticed my kid wearing a jersey. Stay and play! Good donuts, great coffee (no free refills but it's delicious coffee). Staff was friendly. They have a great library of games. Staff is not available to teach games, but they have neat devices at the table that can call service to you for more coffee, beer or donuts. They did allow us to bring in some outside food. Highly recommend for gamers!

My first reaction is man this might be a little strange. Soon as I walked in I realized it is a clean, a comfortable and a warm scenario. I predominantly drink domestic beers but their selection catered even to my more unrefined palette. The donuts for lack of the better word were extraordinarily divine. I even tried their cold brew coffee on tap and that was one of the best coffees I've had in a while. I truly hope that I can return to this majestic place and enjoy its splendor. Also there's board games and the staff is really nice.

I went here for a work event and it was absolutely amazing in every way. They have a large selection of brand new board games as aswell as some classics. The rooms are very clean and comforting. The donuts are very delicious and the staff is very friendly! I will definitely be returning soon!

The doughnut I got here was better than the cupcakes at most specialty cupcake shops. I don't really like doughnuts that much and I will definitely come back here. I had white chocolate raspberry. It was filled with freshly made raspberry compote, glazed with a white chocolate frosting. It may have been fried but I couldn't taste that telltale "fry" flavor. It was absolutely delicious! Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and cozy. Five stars easily!

I love the space and how big the location is. The donuts are okay. We brought our own games and were still charged for playing...which was a little weird. They charge you for playing their games, which makes sense, but if you bring your own I don't feel like they should charge. Will still probably go back though

The space is lovely, very clean open with lots of room and light. The chairs are uncomfortable and not overly suited to long gaming sessions. I've gone several times and find that I'm not overly fond of the doughnuts & beer concept, I wish there were more tea and coffee options available (lattes/fraps/etc) .... and/or more pub style food options. They aren't open early enough for me to want to stop by here for doughnuts on my way to work and the doughnuts are overpriced and tend to be overly sweet "sugar bombs" that lack complex flavourings compared to other local offerings. I also don't really understand the lack of "Dragons" inside the shop (as suggested by the name)….would love to see more offerings related to the tabletop genre of gaming instead of just the board games that are always on offer. It's a good space and a great idea. The staff is friendly and helpful. The beer selection is very good. It's a great place to meet and hang out with friends but there is definitely room for improvement.

This place is amazing. It is nice and spacious. There are plenty of tables to spread out and play games. The game selection is pretty good too. They charge a dollar per person to play, for up keep which is fair. The employees will put the games away too, to make sure all of the pieces are there. I find this convenient because then the next group will be set up for success. There are buttons at each table and you just press this when you want a server to come over. This is super nice, because this means game play is never interrupted. Chick-fil-A is in the same plaza in case you want some food before beer or donuts. Can't wait to go back !

The lemon basil glazed doughnut is no joke! It's incredible! I would have taken a picture of it, but I ate it too quickly! The atmosphere is open and inviting. Good locale, friendly staff, wide range of games, and a super helpful "game menu" that tells you exactly what you want to know about the game before you open the box. Plus, the staff will even get it off the wall for you so you need never leave your seat! 10/10 will be back!

Great doughnuts! No vegan or gluten free varieties yet but they are working on the recipes. A wide selection of beer and they also serve mead and cider. They sell to-go beer in single serve bottles. The staff are sweet and helpful and follow all county guidelines for covid. I will be coming back.

This is a hidden gem for sure! The doughnuts are truly special and having beer makes it super unique I loved my experience there. Literally brought my 3year old because the environment is family friendly but yet a super cool place for a date or even late night treat ( they are open till 9pm). The women working there are great I loved the girl who helped us I diffently will be back!! Also I'm an early riser so I'm excited about them opening by 7am. They ALSO had a butterbeer doughnut #harrypotter fans dream/ I felt like I was at Universal Studios again!

This place is awesome. They've got donuts, beer, and games. What more could you want?! They also have something I've never seen anywhere else. A game menu. It gives a discription of every game they have and categorizes them beautifully. Plenty of fun and unique beer choices on a rotating tap ensures you'll never have to get the same thing twice. The staff is also incredibly friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have. I definitely will be coming here many many times!

I give it bonus points for providing a place for nerds to game, but for a place that markets to the DnD crowd it has absolutely NO atmosphere. My friend knows the owner, and he decided to bring me along to check the place out, and man am I glad I went. The doughnuts are fantastic. I tried the spiced apple, and it may very well have been the best doughnut I've ever had. The cannoli and cookie butter doughnuts are fantastic too! I also had some coffee, which was pretty darn good. It was pretty early, so I didn't try out any beers, but I was impressed with their selection. They also have a very large selection of games too ranging from old school board games like Life and Sorry, to strategy games and party games. It didn't hurt my experience here that I won the game my group and I played. lol. The establishment itself is clean with a very casual cafe quality. The staff was extremely friendly as well. It was a very fun experience with some tasty doughnuts to boot. I definitely recommend checking this place out.

I just ordered these today through DoorDash, the doughnuts were amazing!! I love all the different flavors the lemon basil was my favorite!! Do not hesitate for this place the doughnuts were super fresh. I got one of every flavor and there was not a single one I didn’t like. the music they play is awful. its like they dont know their customer base. they staff is very friendly but could use some training in observation. i should not have to work to get your attention when you are standing right in front of me with a broken fork in my hand for five minutes. aside from this the staff is very friendly, the coffee is wonderful, the donuts are epic, and courteous and the space is awesome for hanging out. but the music is driving me crazy and makes me not want to stay long. numerous attempts to address this with staff have been politely ignored. please stop playing top 40 music. gamers are not a top 40 crowd. i mean Hanson? seriously! epic fail.

I'd suggest the addition of something like popcorn or chips to the menu as they are ideal for snacking while playing boardgames, and doughnuts require a bit of a pause in play. Reserve a couple hours per visit, there's so many games to choose from!

This is a fantastic space and amazing visibility from highway with plenty of parking. It's clean and friendly but ARE YOU KIDDING ME?.... where are the donuts ?!... It's the first word on the Advertising! There is a small glass case with limited selection and supply... of donuts. What was there was good and interesting..... but such a limited selection was disappointing. I must have missed the timing or there could have been a herd of people cleaned the place out before I got there.....hummm?! I would probably stop again at an earlier time just to see if I missed something. Donuts are a BIG DEAL and I expect to get a WOW factor.... oops! How about a donut that looks like a Dragon?! I really enjoy the idea of this place . However, the customer service was lacking yesterday . When we first walked in we sat up at the bar for almost 10 minutes before the guy asked us if we'd like anything. Some gentleman walked up to the counter some we were sitting there and the guy working behind the counter started chatting with him and totally ignored us even though we were ready to order. I ordered a sample of beer and then a table opened up so we moved over there. It took about 10 more minutes before we greeted, after pressing the button on the table twice. They were busy and I understand that, but I don't think the table service button is working out from what I experienced. I also like talking to people so I'd rather my server just come by like a regular server would. After our order was brought out ,we never saw our waitress again. I'm pretty sure she even left for the day. Lol. All in all , good concept , great choices for games to play . I just think there needs to be a little bit better of customer service.

I LOVE this place. I had never been before (or even heard of the place), but I was looking for some place with WIFI since Panera Bread didn't allow dine-in. It's funny because I drove by wondering what the place was from the name. I'm not a huge fan of doughnuts, but it was really good. I had the Oreo doughnut and asked if they could warm it ( I hate cold doughnuts). He said no problem and went to the back and did just that. I didn't get a "she's so difficult" vibe at all. I usually have some kind of special request wherever I go so I really appreciated that. The guys that work there are SUPER nice. I will definitely be back.

Doughnuts & Dragons adds a needed low-tech, interactive concept to Indianapolis night life. BONUS: They were the only chill place open New Year's Eve. The joint was nearly full and every occupied table had a board game going. It was neat to see so many people laughing and talking. It's a perfect place for small groups and double-dates to do something unique away from home. I love that they tell you up front they want each table to buy at least $3 worth of something, which is fair for using up a spot. If you play a game, they ask a reasonable $1 per player per night for upkeep of the game library. The only downside is that we're not beer-drinkers and we started a low-sugar, low-carb diet in May. That's not a show-stopper at all; perhaps more options will be added over time.

Great tap selection, would love to see more meads and ciders. Solid game set; classic board games, cards, party games(think Jenga,) heavier games literally and situationally like scythe, newer games like root, a little something for everyone. A variety of doughnuts, at least some rotationals. Butter beer was a great cake donut. Their eclair/long johns were tasty, but I'd love more cream. Bavarian cream was yummy. The doughnuts were best fresh, but some of them held up a few days later.

This is a couple weeks late. When we visited I knew that I had to review this place but you know how that goes - A friend and I were in town for the day and actually pulled into the shopping center to turn around. We saw the "Dougnuts" sign and since we had some time to kill we decided to get a snack. Just the coolest place. There were families, groups of friends, and a mother and her son playing monopoly (the Doughnut shop has a whole long list of games on hand for customer use) We actually loitered so long I was a little self conscious. Went to their soft opening tonight to play Dungeons & Dragons with a group of friends and had an amazing time! Their menu consists of several great drinks (I had the carmel apple cider from Misbeehavin Meads), delicious doughnuts (they are less sweet and more doughy), and you can order board games! Each table has a button that you can press any time you need to order anything else, or are ready to receive your bill. I will definitely be coming back with more friends!

I have been wanting to check this place out ever since they had a "Coming Soon" banner on the site of the old BD's Mongolian Barbeque. This past week, I had the opportunity, and I was mostly thrilled. As far as doughnuts were concerned, I had the Stromboli (very savory, don't eat it after sweet ones like I did!), the Butterbeer (looks like a standard doughnut, but is very sweet and flavorful and frankly wonderful), and the Fluffernutter (peanut butter topping with marshmallow fluff filling, almost TOO sweet!) along with a chocolate milk. None of them disappointed, except for the mistake I mentioned above, which was totally me, and not the fault of the doughnut. The place is large and clean and open, and that's my only gripe. It's a little TOO open, with nothing to dampen the sound. I was with a group of friends, and it was hard to hear each other, and by the time I left, I had a splitting headache. Now, to be fair, the place was PACKED by the time I left, but still, if you have issues with way too much background noise like I do, you might want to drop by when it's not very crowded, or even get some of those delicious doughnuts to go. Minor gripe aside, I really enjoy the place. The service was friendly, the food was good, and I'll definitely be back.

Many great things to say about this establishment, but where do I start. First off we had a very large group coming on the night my fiancé and I visited. We broke up into several different tables. There were so many games to choose from and it helped that in the menu on the table it described and categorized each game. We played two different games at our table. There are also many selections of beer and wine as well as coffee. We tried the butterbeer and fluffernutter doughnuts. The butterbeer one was a bit dry and the fluffernutter was delicious. My fiancé had a stout beer and enjoyed it. This is a place I would enjoy visiting again. We would probably go more often if we lived closer.

So I love the concept and it makes me want to go in the evening with friends to get beer, eat a doughnut, and play a game. That said the doughnuts were fine. I've had better, and cheaper, at any generic doughnut shop. The apple spice was exceptionally bad. Maybe I got a bad batch but the frosting just tasted like butter and lemon juice. Fingers crossed it gets better.
