Good stuff. Strawberry cake was really delicious, but the black forest pastry was very dry and did not taste good. Their fruit cakes looked delicious. Wish they had smaller portions to try. Overall good collection of deserts.

Good costumer service, all the pastries I tried were very fresh and great authentic flavors. I also had an ice dessert and I love it so much. Over all very tasty and unique flavors for a great value. I would love to come here whenever I'm around. Also I would love to find out if they have any other locations so I can visit it.

The food was great. I was in a hurry though. Ended up having to pay cash because the credit card machine would not work. I was so frazzled I didn't check my order. Paid for 2 eggs custard tarts and only got one. :( We liked the two turkey pastries with cheese. The one egg tart was good too.

I had the lucky chance to taste almost everything in this establishment. This is an Asian style of desserts, if you know what that means. Less sugar and more fluffy. Mango Mousse is my favorite Scallion Hot Dog was sweet. ... its ok?

10/10 my favorite cakes on the island. I am addicted to them. Super fluffy and moist. So many times that I want cake it's 10 minutes before they close. I wish they would expand their hours to maybe 6:30pm or 7pm 😭😭 this is the 4th time I'm in the mood for JJ's and I look at the time and it's 5:50pm and it takes me 15 minutes to get there 💔💔 right now I'm writing this because I was craving it but it's 5:58pm 😢 I will have to wait till tomorrow now :( I included pictures I have taken on the other days I have gone in or got as takeout. My favorite is the Coffee (has real coffee flavor ) and Black Forest

A great variety of Taiwanese pastries, quite similar to Brug across the street but much more delicious and cheaper. They also have tea beverages, smoothies so you could get a full breakfast from there.

The bakery has a nice clean feel and the products are displayed nicely. Such a large variety of baked goods to choose from! The cheesecake bread with chocolate is light and fluffy with a slightly crispy top; flavorful and not overly sweet. The Oreo sea salt milk tea is yummy. Creamy with a hint of tea. Not too sweet and not too powerful...refreshing on a hot day. I'll have to come back with friends so that I can try some of their other items...I'm sure if I bought a bunch with the intention to share, I'd probably eat them all.

I can honestly say without equivocation. The people that work here are the most accommodating of any store that I go into. They try to help you any way they can. They will allow you to order something in advance so that you have it when you need it. They will always offer a solution to any problem you have. Their bakery items are not overly sweet. This is important for diabetics. I highly highly recommend you go there for your bakery needs!!!

Quick summary: -All breads are slightly sweet regardless of the filling -They have bubble teas -They have a reward/loyalty program Summary: JJ Squared Bakery sells cakes, pastries, breads with fillings, and milk teas (see tea menu in pictures). For me the breads are the main draw. Like other bread stores (think Saint Germain or Brug) and, JJ's offers breads with cheeses, meats, and other flavors. The difference between JJ's and the other stores is in the bread itself. JJ's bread is slightly sweet regardless of the filing. I don't like this, but others in my family do. I'll always choose Brug bread over JJ's. The bubble teas are typical and I haven't had many of their pastries/ cakes.

Found right across from Walgreens, this bakery is very conveniently located. It has the typical pastries that most Asian bakeries have including a variety of milk teas. The seating is a bit limited with a few tables and single seats. The majority of the space is dedicated to a queue line. There were never any lines I had to wait in the times I went though. The food looks very clean and neatly packaged. You come in, pick a few pastries and stand in line to pay for it. It is very streamlined and straightforward. The milk tea was also very good. The worker came out to deliver it, which was very nice. The one problem I had, besides the seating space, was the variety of pastries there. I was looking forward to things with a bit more sustenance like a charsiu bao. However it is only a mild issue for me. I very much enjoyed this store and will come again if I can. The location and the convenience of the bakery is very good.

Nice little Japanese-style bakery, with savory and sweet options, as well as tea and coffee. The texture of the cheese breads is excellent. Benches outside give a nice place for a quick outdoor breakfast.

Last minute order with JJ Squared Bakery and I am BLOWN AWAY! I live on the East Coast and had to order a last minute cake for my brother who was getting eloped! Within 1.5 hours from my initial call, the cake was made, designed, and delivered to their home. The customer service was impeccable and I couldn't offer a better review. Thankyou again JJ2! My brother and his wife were very impressed!

Being Taiwanese style bakery, their items are a bit different then what you expect from a traditional American or European bakery and also different from a Japanese/European style bakery. First off, it is a bit more trendy by offering boba tea drinks and their cakes are loudly decorated. They offer a large assortment of both savory and sweet treats that can either be eaten on the go or as a sit down with a fork or spoon. They have easy to read and understand item description cards, so if something looks unfamiliar, you will be able to figure it out if you want it or not. One thing I think is nice is that when you get one of their loudly decorated, yet delicious cakes, they come in a cool looking box with a disposable cutting tool, so no need to make sure you have a knife available if you taking to the office. Their cakes are light and fresh as well as not to heavy. I've tried a number of things there and have never been disappointed. Prices are also reasonable. The place is set up so that you can easily pick what you want and go.

Not only is the location great (with it being across the mall), but the food is also wonderful! We tried two kinds of bread - both delicious- and a strawberry mochi. The mochi was a new experience as it is kind of native to Hawaii, but it was SO good! We also ordered some coffee, and even though they had run out, they took the time to make more and gave us two cups instead of one. The environment was very friendly and I would totally go here again.

I have wanted to try this place for a while. They a wide variety of pastries, from sweet to savory. My test is New York cheesecake. I had a slice with a refreshing cup of cold full bodied, unsweetened black tea. I like a denser textured NY cheesecake but I would get it there again. Beware of the chocolate almond cookies. Can't ear just one.

JJ's bakery is a great place to get pastries! They do a great job baking and everything is usually fresh. The reason why I gave it a 4/5 is because the selection isn't too great but that's just personal preference. I do enjoy the seating area that is next to their cafe. The service is quick and the workers are friendly! They are also selling mooncake right now which is a fun addition to the rest of the selection of pastries.

Definitely one of the better places in Honolulu for desserts and pastries. Parking is a challenge. You'll have to park either at the mall or Wal-Mart, but the selection is great and the quality is top notch.

Great Taiwanese style bakery and tea shop. Located across from Walgreens, Walmart, and Ala Moana. Parking along the street is your best bet, or walk over from Ala Moana. Definitely try the Hokkaido Chiffon puffs.

The atmosphere of the shop is good, and bread baked in the shop is lined up from the morning. It's a good shop with plenty of coffee.

The menu is also available in Japanese, and the staff can speak a little Japanese. It doesn't taste like American. It feels like a Japanese bakery. The store is very clean and easy to enter. The price is about $2.50 for a sweet bun. I wonder if it's Taiwanese because there are coconut milk, pineapple cake, etc.
