Nichole’s Fine Pastry made us an absolutely stunning cake for our wedding. Not only was it gorgeous to look at it tasted outstanding as well! If you don’t like fondant I recommend you try Nichole’s fondant because you may just change your mind. We had about 200 guests at our wedding and we were easily able to feed all our guests with a 4 tier cake and 2 sheet cakes. The Zebra cake was delicious, but the red velvet and strawberry cakes were phenomenal! I highly recommend Nichole’s Fine Pastry for wedding cakes!

If you live in Fargo/Moorehead area, and you haven't been, GO. The BEST!!! I had the roasted veggie sandwich! And bought an assortment of pastries to take home and share! Wonderful!!! It's a gem!!! Very curteous and helpful staff!

Fine or not fine? That is the question. The place is very nice, bright, lovely and trendy. The staff is super carrying and nice... So this definitely a lovely place to be having a coffee and a treat! Brunch option are limited but they are all great. The price is somewhat on the high side, but is it overprice for fine and quality items? The coffee is ok, the tea is fantastic. Everything is super clean and well taken care. Now, the little down side. At the price point and the name "fine" you are expecting every single patisserie items to be as wonderful and perfect as possible. Some are fantastic the Oero cake, the fruit Tarte (a french staple that is living up to my french expectations - albeit a little small or a little over price). I would say 80% are amazing however a few items like the croissant and pain aux chocolats are not as well / perfectly done. They taste good and are great but not up to the standard I was expecting. However, it still taste good and definitely a great place to have a brunch or a coffee break.

I highly recommend Nicole's to anyone in need of a wedding cake. Nicole personally made time to meet with my fiance and I, and had cake samples ready. She absolutely nailed the cake and cupcakes. Money well spent. Beautiful desserts, on time service and a crowd pleaser.

I cannot recommend Nichole's enough. Their desserts are amazing and their variety of tea and coffee drinks are a must try. With how much I love their desserts, we choose Nichole's for our wedding cake. I had low expectations for the cake to be exactly what I wanted. Not because Nichole's couldn't deliver, but because my now husband wanted chocolate with chocolate ganache frosting and I wanted a white cake with painted flowers. When I saw the cake on my wedding day, I was blown away. The cake was so beautiful and looked like a work of art (and tasted soooo good). We also had a wide selection of small desserts that our guests complemented us on throughout the evening. Nichole and her team are just fantastic and I highly recommend them for any occasion.

As one of 3 restaurants in Fargo visited by Guy Fieri and featured on DDD, Nichole’s steps up to the plate. It’s very rightfully named “fine pastry”, because they serve a lot of desserts that are what I call fancy. And I’m a big fancy pastry person, I mean are you a true foodie if you aren’t? So this was an easy stop. Jam packed display cases- mini cakes, tarts, creme brûlée, eclairs, key lime pie, petit fours, cookies, bars— want me to keep going? Full honesty, I wanted to try one of everything. I ended up getting a pack of macaroons, and I was impressed that they were the texture a good mac should be- a slightly crunchy shell, and a soft, gooey inside of the cookie. Though there are many great treats here, I’m not sure if I’d be a visitor often were I living in the Fargo area. I didn’t really get a great vibe here, as it is a “fine pastry” shop and it almost felt like the place was too good for random people off the street like me. Do you ever feel that way? But nonetheless I’m glad I got to try it and it definitely lives up to the name.

Nichole's has an amazing selection of gourmet pastry, bakery, and lunch items! During the peak of COVID and wedding planning, we had to downsize our numbers; thanks to Nichole's online ordering platform, we were quickly able to place a pickup order for 50 people. We’ve been coming to Nichole’s since it opened. The chocolate ganache cake and the cookies are very delicious. However, the online ordering portal is not reliable. We recently ordered cakes for a holiday event, but there was no record of the order when I arrived to pick up. It is also very difficult to get a hold of customer service by phone. We love the baked goods, but we’re very disappointed with the service.

Love Nicole's! Great service, great environment, and amazing food! Wish I was downtown more often to visit! Follow up visit two years later... The food is just as good, the service is great, and I love the self serve black coffee. Go here if you are in town and if you are local and have not, you are missing out!

My husband surprised me here. I am use to having pastries like this in Europe. I wish that she would be in every town in America. The place was clean and cosy and the pastries unbelievable so fricken delicious to die for. We will be coming back for sure. You have to go here when you are in Fargo.

It's a lovely place with a nice, warm environment. We had the broccoli and cheddar soup, and it was smooth, filling, and yummy. We also got a mini cake, and it was amazing! The staff was also very nice and friendly.

Nichole's did a wonderful job on my husband's and my wedding cake. We showed her a picture for inspiration and our little version turned out just as we hoped. She is affordable but does great work. The cake was not dry and the lemon filling had great flavor.

Very good cheesecake and mocha. They put Cass County Swiss Chocolate milk in the mocha and it was a very nice balance of sweet and coffee. Cheesecake was very creamy and flavorable. Only downside was the cheesecake was $12 for the small size. Would come again!

Nicholes made our wedding cake/cupcakes in February 2020 and they were so good. We came back for our daughter’s first birthday cake this week and it was just as good as we remembered!

I ordered the watercolor cake. What I ordered and what I received were 2 different cakes, and the icing was partially damaged, I was careful to transport it home with care so I know the damage was not from my end, I should have opened the lid when it was handed to me to ensure that there were no issues. While the cake was good, it would have been nice to receive the cake I ordered as a theme was built around the cake.

I grew up in the Fargo-Moorhead area, I loved coming to Nicole’s. I’ve lived in four cities since Fargo and it’s still the best fine pastry place I’ve had. Their chocolate cakes and fruit tarts are spectacular. Very nice vibes and atmosphere.

Nichole did a fantastic job meeting with us before our wedding. She was encompassing in her attention to detail during our cake tasting and it was clear from the final product that she is the go to person in Fargo for all your bakery goods. We did a two tiered cake with 2 dozen cupcakes and not only were they delicious but Nichole ensured that everything was dropped off in a timely manner and that it was properly stored. I will continue coming back.

I can't speak highly enough of the wonderful desserts and food Nichole's Fine Pastry & Café serves! Their Napoleon is to die for, and their seasonal panna cotta is always unique and delicious. One warning - their desserts do seem to sell fast, so I would suggest stopping by earlier in the day to buy treats. I also feel like the price point for their products is fair - you're supporting a local business, and you get what you pay for! I will say that the customer service is hit or miss. It's either an enthusiastic bunch of people who are very communicative and welcoming, or a group of people who don't even ask you how you're doing/hang out in the back area goofing off while you wait to be helped. When I went on 1/15/22, it was the latter. Despite this, I will continue to frequent Nichole's.

Right in downtown Fargo is this delightful bakery with restaurant. Bakery items include the usual suspects but these are so well executed. The little cakes are particularly beautiful, Didn’t try them but we sampled a few things. Red velvet cake, a pear tart and the truffles. Have to be millions of calories but all wonderful. Service was great too. If you are in Fargo don’t miss.

We received multiple recommendations to use Nichole’s Fine Pastry for our wedding cake. We heard they were the best in Fargo and they easily exceed our expectations. Nichole made the process very easy with a quick meeting about how we wanted the cake to look and the flavor of the cake. The detail on our cake was phenomenal! It was elegant. Many of our guests came up to us specifically tell us it was the best tasting cake they ever had. Both of us would highly recommend using Nichole’s Fine Pastry, you will not be disappointed.

Stumbled on this place while traveling and what a find. We shared a quiche and a pepperoni croissant. The quiche had the perfect amount of onions and bacon folded into a heavenly crust. The pepperoni croissant was equally Devine! My partner had the cream of mushroom soup and described it as perfectly seasoned and hearty. Decided on the key lime cheesecake for dessert which was tangy sweet deliciousness. Outstanding!

My husband ordered a cake for my birthday...it was nicely decorated and the cake itself was delicious but the taste of the frosting was rather disappointing. It was way too heavy on the butter and had very little vanilla flavor or sweetness to it. I felt like I was eating a pound of butter or lard instead of a nice butter cream frosting. I have had other pastries and desserts at nicholes and was very impressed in the past, but I would not recommend their butter cream frosting on any of their cakes. It simply needs a better balance of flavor to compliment the cake.

A must stop if you're in Fargo! One of my favorite places to sit and have brunch (10/10 recommend the egg bake) and coffee and a scone and a dessert ;) It's just off of Main Ave, so it's quiet and feels like a hidden gem, but it's always busy with locals. I've never had lunch there but I've heard that's fabulous as well. You'll feel like you stepped into a European dessert shop. Love Nichole's!

I went into Nichole's about 30 minutes ago and ordered 2 cream sodas and 2 chocolate croissants. I've been very, very careful about not going out to eat during covid, but thought a quick takeout treat would be safe. Imagine my disappointment when the gal working the register took my order, had me give her my debit card to pay (versus having one of the square readers where I could insert my card myself), and had me sign the receipt, with a pen I watched her grab out of the bucket labeled "dirty." She then proceeded to grab my food and drinks, without washing or sanitizing her hands, and without putting on gloves. I absolutely love Nichole's and the treats were as good as ever, but I definitely won't be back unless the safety protocols amp up significantly!

Nicole's Fine Pastry & Cafe is just barely in the downtown area so it isn't as much of a hassle to get to as a lot of downtown places. There is a rather large amount of seating options available, it's a lot bigger inside than you would expect. Very warm and cozy atmosphere. My fiance absolutely adores the baked goods here. It is our go-to option despite being one of the furthest from our house. It isn't the cheapest place but everything is so decadent that it is worth every penny.

I wish I had the opportunity to show photos of all the past treats I've had from Nicole's, but I'm afraid I've always been too eager to eat them! Nicole's truly has both wonderful confectionery, in both taste and appearance! A hidden aspect of Nicole's is that they often serve extremely delicious sandwiches. Try out their Turkey, Apple, and Brie sandwich during the summer. Pair it with a sparkling water, and you'll find yourself in love.

Nichole's Fine Pastry & Cafe was recommended to me by a friend who grew up with authentic French pastries. When I want to celebrate an occasion or treat someone, I come here. The Key Lime pie is sublime. The best I've ever had easily. If you're lucky enough to go when fruit tarts are in season, they are perfect and beautiful. I'm also a fan of the red velvet cake which resembles a cheese cake due to the dense cream cheese frosting. (Not everyone's preference)

Nichole's is a great place to grab lunch, dessert and/or coffee. All of the food, desserts, and pastries are amazing. I always try to get something new when I go because things you think you would never like, due to them looking too rich, will just blow your mind. They do such a great job at balancing flavors. I highly recommend any of there dome desserts. You should also pick up a couple of their dark chocolate truffles that are made in house. Their soups are fantastic and are different every day. The only down side is Nichole's is a little pricey to go to often, but if you are looking to entertain someone this should be one of your top go to places,

Fargo's hidden gem! They have a huge space, that is open late. It was a nice surprise to grab some dessert after we went out to eat! Their selection was awesome and I learned they also had sandwiches during the lunch hour. Worth checking out- you won't be disappointed!

I recently placed an order from Australia for a chocolate birthday mudcake Nichole's Fine Pastry. Although the order was placed with a third-party who ordered the cake on my-behalf the cake itself was simply devine. Nichole went above and beyond with the cake she made even writing a personalised "happy birthday" message on the cake which I didn't expect but was such a beautiful touch. I would recommend supporting this fantastic small business for any pastry needs whether its a birthday cake for one person, or pastry's for an event. Truly a fantastic small business in the local Fargo region.

On a usual visit, I'm extremely pleased with the service provided me and the quality of the pastries. However, today I felt like I wasn't valued as a customer. Yes, I was promptly helped, as in an employee standing at the case ready to grab the pastries I indicated wanting, but when I was paying there was little eye contact, a 'thank you' that sounded like an afterthought, and by then I didn't feel like asking for utensils. I felt like I was a bother. The pastries that I purchased were absolutely delicious. I just kept smiling while I slowly consumed the treat, wanting to savor each morsel!

A recent stop here provides a glimpse into an art gallery-for desserts! The counter and cases are brimming with sweetness as if they are to explode. The only solution is to buy many things and enjoy the edible masterpieces. All silliness aside, I enjoyed a slice of three layer coconut cake and my wife had the key lime pie. Both were delicious and exceeded our expectations. When your visit, you will have a hard time making a choice but any you choose will be worth it

Nichole's serves a variety of classic desserts and coffees as well as sandwiches, soups, and gelatos. Their precise dessert menu varies weekly, and there's really no bad choice. Be warned that their desserts are quite sweet, but so well executed you won't mind a bit, especially with a double espresso to cut through the sugar.

I'm right along with the crowd on this one - spectacular sweets and pastries. Also very tasty soups, sandwiches, salads and breakfast items. If you're craving chocolate I recommend the Chocolate Feuilletine Cake - they have little ones in the pastry case that look like a single serving, but 3 or 4 chocoholics can get their fix by splitting just one, they are that rich. Just a warning that it's not cheap; quality really does cost more, but it is so worth it.

Nichole's is the best spot for desserts in Fargo. There's so much to love, but if you're into chocolate, the feuilletine is the best. The seasonal fruit tart is also a real treat. The sandwiches and salads are also excellent. I have never had a bad item there. If you get there early you might even get a warm chocolate croissant. The only problem I have is that sometimes it's not open when I get a craving, but that makes it all the better when I do get there.

We shared the creme brulee. It was fantastic! I've had the espresso and didn't like it at all but my only point of comparison is the espressos I've had in small cafes in Paris. Aside from that, everything I've had here has been top notch.

This place is lovely for accessing a variety of tasty treats that require some skill to make yourself, but I have not been amazed by this place since the first visit. The menu seems overpriced for the quality of the products they serve. The baked goods are, unfortunately, the best in town and they know it... But the competition is not stiff.

The pastries and chocolate mousse are very good here. But I wouldn't reccomended ordering a birthday cake here. The butter cream frosting tasted like butter and we couldn't even eat it. Nobody wants a slice of cake with a thick slab of butter over the top, they should improve their frosting recipe. Also when I ordered a cappuccino, I burnt my tongue trying to taste it after five minutes of cooling down, and I didn't have time to wait 20min or so for it to become drinkable. So I would reccomend ordering the hot drinks at the start of your meal so they will be drinkable at the end. Otherwise they should just not make the drinks so unbearably hot.

A couple days ago i had a key lime cheesecake dessert and it was just to die for. It was delicious to be honest it was the best thing I have ever tasted. I'm thinking of going there from now on instead of going to other pastry stores. The experience was just amazing I have never seen anything like it.

That anyone—particularly in Fargo—would give Nichole's less than a 5-star review brings to mind Friedrich Nietzsche's dictum that some people shouldn't be allowed to praise Mozart. In simpler terms, Nichole's is a world-class patisserie for which the people of Fargo should give thanks and an unreserved 5 stars. I have noticed a few comments re service at Nichole’s. We have eaten there in well in excess of a hundred times. We have experienced confusion over orders maybe 5 times; there have been times when the staff has been plainly under stress with a flood of customers; but I cannot recall a single example of brusqueness or rudeness.

If you are looking for a unique place in Fargo, go here. They have lots of desserts made with fresh, real ingredients. I recommend the creme brulee.

While the pastries are awesome, the service tends to be horrible. When busy, the staff tend to be huffy and lack any amount of patience or politeness. Had a ladies' birthday brunch one weekend with 5 ladies and were ignored while standing at the diner counter for literally 12 minutes after posted lunch time while multiple employees looked at us and walked by. After that, the food and coffee and pastries were amazing, despite the bad service on both sides of the store.

Nichole’s is the best of both worlds; amazing food and baked goods paired with exceptional above-and-beyond customer service! Due to a miscommunication, our company didn’t pick up a platter of baked goods on Saturday that we needed for a meeting early Monday morning (they are closed on Sunday). The owner herself reached out to check in and then made herself available for us to get the platter, which looked perfect and exactly like the photos on their website. When we got it, I noticed that our special request for their fabulous lemon bars had been granted! We are so grateful to have this amazing small business in our community. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
