The BEST bakery in Arvada. The staff is amazing and so friendly. I went there a lot when I lived in the area. Now I'm in another state but I trusted them to do a fabulous job at some custom cookie orders. They did not disappoint. Everyone loved the cookies - delicious!!! - and they looked amazing. Easy, smooth process of ordering and they are fantastic with service and delivery of awesome products. They also have gluten free and dairy free options that are unbelievably scrumptious!

I'm gluten free and the options here are better than most places. I didn't notice a price difference between the gluten free and normal fare. Service is fast and the gluten free raspberry lemon cake was delicious. Definitely worth the drive from south Denver

Awesome old skool German bakery. Breakfast pastries, cakes, desserts, all made in house. Friendly service, and awesome product, nothing more you can ask. They have outdoor seating where you can enjoy your pastries or desserts with a variety of coffee they offer. Kudos to the bakers who make it happen every day. Cheers

I called and placed my order over the phone which was shockingly easy but my instructions were pretty vague. A bouquet of roses in orange and yellow in the middle. The cake was stunning, better than I had pictured in my head and AMAZINGLY delicious. Best vow renewal cake ever.

This locally owned bakery is amazing! They have traditional German strudel and pastries of all different flavors, homemade European cakes, a coffee shop, and many German food staples (including imported cookies and spaetzle). The staff make everything on site and are so friendly. You can stop in here for a quick sweet treat or bring something home for a special occasion.

The first time I went to Olde Town Arvada I stepped out of my car and quite literally followed my nose to this bakery to buy whatever it was making such a heavenly smell (it was a King Cake, for those curious). Now we stop in whenever we’re in the area. In addition to some delicious streusel, they have a huge selection of vegan, gluten free, and dairy free items that don’t compromise taste to accommodate dietary restrictions. We prefer the cakes and streusel to the cookies. I highly recommend a stop in, especially if you have any allergies!

This place is the only bakery we go to, even though it is quite a drive for us. Everything they make tastes like heaven. Prices add up fast, but I have never once regretted the price tag once I start eating. It's our one stop shop for *every* special occasion. No one ever gets mad when you show up with cake, that's a fact. Highly recommend their cream horns, cupcakes, strueselkuchen (I think I spelled that right?), coffee's, and individual struesels, but you literally can't go wrong. Their homemade raspberry, no matter what it is on, is to die for. A special thank you for my Birthday brunch cake (pictured). Not only was the strueselkuchen melt in your mouth buttery, but it was not even close to too sweet. I added icecream and ate it for dessert too, much to the dismay of all who wanted more for breakfast the next morning. If you are in the area and love baked goods you MUST go here. If there is a line, wait, it's definitely worth it.

You can smell this place as you walk up on it and it draws you in because it’s very delicious. You got to grab the tag number to get checked in and cashier Aaron did a great job. We got a breakfast pastry and a sugar cookie and we split the two, but the breakfast pastry was cold, I’ve never had it like that, but is still delicious. This place was very busy and you can actually see everybody in the back baking, just makes you want to buy a coffee and a pastry!

Great German pastries with gluten free and dairy free options for those with allergies. However, I do NOT recommend the GF cupcakes. For almost $6 each, they are mostly frosting and barely any cake. I’ve given them the benefit of the doubt and keep trying the cupcakes hoping it’s just a fluke but they are always like this. For German GF pastries Rheinlander is great but you can find much better GF cupcakes elsewhere, even at Sprouts for half the price.

Absolutely worth a stop! They have a HUGE variety of sweets (to eat there or take home). I've been here over 15 times, it's worth the stop. It is absolutely impossible to pick just one thing, everything is so perfectly made. Love this place! I have introduced quite a few people. They have a case dedicated to gluten/sugar free as well.

This place was a wonderful fusion of a traditional amazing bakery, but with diversified offerings to meet the needs of most of the unique dietary restrictions from vegan, to low sugar, to gluten free. We got all vegan gluten free treats with a tuxedo cupcake, truffle brownie, and peanut butter chew. Everything was the perfect balance of sweet decadence, but not soo sweet it was overwhelming. We'll definitely be back and look forward to trying many more of their treats.

Always our go to place for desserts, especially around Christmas. We got several tortes, danishes and Persians. My husband absolutely loves Persians, and can't find them anywhere else. He was thrilled to see them. He ate one on the way home and said it was delicious. The guy who waited on us was very friendly and helpful. The only negative is that there used to be more sugar free options. I'm thinking the options got pared down during covid. Would love to see more sugar free pastries. Other than that, this place is perfection. We were also pleasantly surprised at the bill. We were guessing it would be a lot more than it was. Funny that several negative reviews said the prices were too high. We didn't find that. The negative reviews also say it's not a "German" bakery. Based on our experiences in Germany, I don't get it. Looks similar to the German bakeries we went to. I guess some people just need something to complain about.

We got pistachio almond birthday cake, I haven’t tried original German cakes but we didn’t like the pistachio as it had intense pistachio flavor. Also, cakes aren’t baked on the same day. May be I should have tried chocolate flavor considering other reviews.

I have never had a bad experience with the baked goods and the delicious coffee. And the staff has always been very attentive and so pleasant to work with. I enjoy the options of gluten-free and gluten delicious baked goods. My favorites are the chocolate and the many fruit options and the cinnamon rolls. And they make an excellent Mardi gras bread pastry absolutely delicious

I recommend Rheinlander Bakery highly. The bakery was clean, organized, and confections looked beautiful. The staff was friendly, and covid precautions were great. Shown is a Gooey Nut Kaffekuchen, a Lemon Bar Strudel, vanilla cream horns, and baklava. Everything was phenomenal and packaged nicely. I've already placed an order for later this week for another birthday in my home and we can't wait.

What an amazing place. Truly one of Colorado's treasures. I purchased a black forest torte cake and a strudel for my birthday and truthfully these treats made this year's birthday extremely memorable. I’m from the Milwaukee area and one thing I really miss is good German bakery. I drive 20-25 minutes to Rheinlander for that reason. This past week I had the delicious gluten free raspberry lemon cake. My husband has celiac disease so I’m very happy to know there’s a local bakery with delicious GF treats. Note they are not a dedicated GF or nut free bakery but if you ask they will point you towards those items. The GF options are clearly labeled in the display. I appreciate that. If you’re in the area you absolutely should stop in for a Rheinlander treat.

If you have never visited Rheinlander Bakery in Old Town Arvada, GO! This qaint German bakery has been around for ages and is truly a magical experience, the smell of sugar, the colorful cookies and cupcakes. Everything is baked on premise from the strudel to coffee cakes. They have a gluten and sugar free line of items that are equally delicious. Currently, only 7 guests allowed in the store at a time but trust me, the short wait is worth it. Grab a cup of Chai from across the street and settle in! You can order pick up but I caution you, the website is not a nice experience and no where close to reflective of visiting in person. Enjoy!

This place is AMAZING - were here every other weekend for their delicious baked goods. Thanksgiving pies, Christmas Yule logs, customs birthday cakes, this is our go to place for any special occasion. I’m gluten free and my husband is German. The gluten free selection and quality is unbelievable. My husband says the German strudel and sticky buns are delicious. I love how a lot of their chocolate fillings have a little mocha flavor to them 😋 if you can’t tell, we’re obsessed with this place.

Food good. Spotty service. 1 person at counter helping people. 9 people working there. Asked young women working there if I could get some help and one said yes and then gave me a dirty look. Then proceeded to walk over to another girl and whisper and then get another look...didn't help. The cases were full or almost full...not sure why that would be priority over customers, especially since the reason they are their is because of customers. Normally I go back a couple more times before I would write something, but I don't live nearby. Hoping for their sake it was a one off.

The kuchen looked amazing, and the strudel (caramel apple) was very, very good. They also have the really good drink flavor syrup! 👍 They also have some gluten free baked goods. Traveling to Denver with family and wanted a gender reveal cake. They were quick to respond. I was able to email my ideas and they worked with my pictures! Just cut the cake and WOWOW!! It’s so good! Too bad it’s only 6 of us; I dont know if we’ll finish the cake, but we will try because the vanilla cake with strawberry/buttercream filling is amazing!

So many delicious looking choices that it took me forever to decide! Thank goodness the girl behind the counter was very sweet and helpful. I finally decided on two cookie sandwiches. The first had Cream Cheese Icing between two Oatmeal cookies and then the entire thing was dipped in dark chocolate. The cookie was super crumbly and soft in just the right way. The dark chocolate shell provided a light crunch and nice rich flavor. My second choice had Chocolate icing sandwiched between peanut butter chip cookies dipped in butterscotch. The icing was light and fluffy - closer to a mousse in my opinion. And peanut butter cookies filled with peanut butter chips? How can you go wrong?! The cookie had a nice salty flavor that paired perfectly with all the super sweetness from being covered in butterscotch chips. I would totally go back for another cookie sandwich for sure! But they also had some fantastic looking cupcakes that apparently have some delicious fillings inside...I'd probably have to try one of those, too!

I wish I could give a business more than five stars. This is one of the most fabulous bakeries I have ever eaten at. Everything is delicious, the storefront is well organized, every product is clearly labeled, there are tons of food allergy-friendly options, and the staff is exceptionally kind and helpful. The only downfall is that this business is often busy because everything is so good! The baked goods are worth waiting for, though. Come hungry! Seriously, this place is a gem.

I now live north of 136th Ave and East of I-25 and it's worth the drive. I did have to pull my mask off my nose for a few minutes so I could smell all of the delicious smells! You guys are the BEST!

A awesome German bakery. I drive over 10 miles to come here. Sticky buns, Strudel and all kinds of yummy stuff. UPDATE I now drive 50 miles at Christmas because I moved. The Holidays are not complete without sticky buns and Streusel rolls on Christmas morning.

This place is great. I had two baby showers and Rheinlander Bakery made the cake for both. I have gestational diabetes and we were hard pressed to find somewhere that could accommodate my dietary needs. Not only was the cake sugar free, but it looked and tasted amazing. Great streusel and elephant ears! Wide gluten-free selection. Friendly staff. If you show up early, see if their open. They’re bakers, i.e. early risers, and often open the doors before the posted time. Limited outdoor seating and self-serve coffee. Streusel had a mound of delicious topping. The elephant ear had great caramelized flavor.

A first-rate German pastry (konditorei) and cake shop (kuchenladen). On the short list for top three bakeries in Colorado. A deep selection of German strudel, streusel roll slices, pastry tortes (AKA miniature cakes), cup cakes, cakes, coffee cakes, cookies and biscotti. Some select items are available gluten free. The raspberry chocolate mousse pastry torte was excellent and technically executed with great mouth feel, texture and subtle sweetness offset by a crisp external dark chocolate. The chocolate was bit sweaty which means it was tempered the day prior which is fine. Most of what they prepare is during business hours so if you drop in right at opening everything will not be out yet. 10AM-1PM is the optimal visit window. No where to sit inside as they are just so many display cases which is awesome! Some seating outside. It must be noted they do not carry any laminated breads (e.g., croissant, pan au chocolate, etc.) or regular bread.

This is a quaint little German bakery in The Olde Town Arvada historic district. Street parking is usually difficult to find. Their pastries are to die for. It is quite cost prohibitive for me and my family to be able to visit here very often. It is pricey. But if you are in the mood for a sweet treat that is fresh and homemade this is your place. Their Strudels are delicious. The seasonal caramel apple is the best I have ever had. I do have to say that their cookies although pretty in appearance are dry tasting. The cream horns are really good. And my kids like the cupcakes. Support local.

A must visit if you're gluten free... Or not gluten free too! Everything is well labeled with dietary restrictions and prices. No surprises. Gorgeous cakes! The chocolate classic eclair is my favorite, but I have never had anything that wasn't above par. Homemade, quality and worth the price (yes it is pricey, but you won't regret it). Tonight we showed up just 3 minutes before the close time and the staff was incredible, accommodating and welcomed us to take our time. Excellent customer service!

Rheinlander Bakery features extra-friendly service, excellent Covid precautions, and delightful gluten-free and gluten-full pastries. Their coffee is also pretty good. I tried the kolache too, but I wouldn’t do it again. The sweet egg-bread is just lacking something and they seemed a bit on the small side for the price.

If I could give 5-million stars, I would. We came here today to buy some special European import stocking stuffers for Christmas. After we had gathered some items and also bought a few goodies for the kids while we were there, I asked the clerk if I'd missed any items that might be of interest for us. She recommended the springerle if we were interested in black licorice. After inquiring a little more, she also said they are made special with images that had been used through history to help tell people stories/ meanings of special days. This caught my attention. I asked what the images were made with, and she told me that they roll them onto the dough using a rolling pin. I asked if I could see it, and she brought it out, unwrapped it from its protective wrapping, and let me hold it and look at each of the images. I am ecstatic to find such an amazing piece of culture and history nearby my home!!! Check out these photos of the home-made, hand-carved rolling pin they use for making springerle. Then go buy some springerle. They didn't make any last year, but made a few this year. The process for making these is long and arduous, as the dough has to dry out before baking in order to keep the images. The images themselves are of a wedding, an infant baptism, the nativity, the crucifixion, communion, a hunt, minstrels, and various other scenes from Christian German heritage. These cookies are an excellent rebuttal against commercial treats that have no meaning. If you want meaning in your Christmas Stocking treats, this is the place to find it.

Amazing!! Lots of goodies and very gluten free friendly. Was so surprised to find so many coffee syrup flavors, and loved to see some more unique ones like macadamia and guava. Loved their carrot cake and dobash, hoping to come back soon to try some more! Also there's dedicated parking in the back of the building so you don't have to fight for parking!

Delicious dessert options for vegans and the gluten free folks among us! My boyfriend and I love stopping by this bakery for a sweet treat. All of their cupcakes have been delicious with interesting, creative flavor combinations (like orange and chocolate, lavender and lemon)… highly recommend anything with fruit flavoring, as their icing tastes so fresh. What an amazing bakery! I wanted to buy some of everything but with gyms being closed now, I realized that wasn't a great idea. I got the Bavarian Bomb Diggity Dome cake for my husband's birthday, and he said it's one of the best cakes he's ever had. Light with lots of flavor. Not one of those cakes where all you get is sweetness from sugar overload. This cake was really delicious. Also bought a sourdough loaf that is awesome for garlic bread. Will definitely be back.

This place is the best bakery in town, hands down. It smells like heaven. Their selection is great and everything tastes wonderful. I love the cinnamon sruessel roll or the baklava and a chai tea latte. They always do great things for the community and greet you with smiling faces. Get a cake!!! They are amazing.

I bought a bunch of cupcakes for a work event. Best flippin cupcakes I've ever had in my life! I tried two different flavors; red velvet and the gluten free, dairy free one with rose petals crumbled and sprinkled on top. These cupcakes were super expensive but worth every penny. I wish they were as healthy as eating spinach so i could eat one everyday.

I met the owner while ice climbing. She is so cool! All of the staff obviously like their jobs and you can tell as soon as you walk in. This is a great local bakery where you can find so many great surprises. They have a lot of gluten free and vegan options on top of their traditional German baked goods. Their cup cakes and cookies are decorated beautifully! We went for Strudelfest and had absolutely delicious strudel brats while listening to some great accordion music.

Excellent pastries, very nice people working at the counter too! It seemed slightly expensive, but everything costs more now so perhaps I'm not adjusted to updated pastry costs. Very cute bakery, went in before fat tuesday to score a king cake. A little too far of a distance for me personally, so I bought two flavors while I was there. Was enchanted that they had Zapps and Cafe Du Monde items, but knowing I can also find these products at World Market, chose to leave with just king cakes. Definitely worth trying!

I ordered my wedding cake here and Rheinlander Bakery did not disappoint! I am gluten free so finding a cake that did not cost an arm and a leg that was also beautiful, was super hard to find. I called them and ordered over the phone. They were super helpful and accommodating to my needs. Overall the cake came out super beautiful and tasted amazing. I would have never thought I could get what I wanted gluten free but they did that for me! It was also so dreamy and beautiful. My family also loved it (who are not gluten free). Definitely will be visiting when I go to Denver again!

We went here with friends how are locals and when I asked her what they had she just said, "all the things." I thought she was just joking around, but when we got there I realized she wasn't far off, they have the largest variety of sweets and pastries of any bakery I've ever been in. Between my daughter, wife, and myself we sampled two different streusels, two different cream horns, and a giant chocolate cupcake. They were all delicious. On top of that all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. If we ever find ourselves back in Arvada we will definitely make a point to stop in.

Looking deeper, the bakery hosts a large menu of delicious cakes, cookies, and unique treats to appease any craving. Take comfort knowing your delicious treat tastes amazing, is allergy friendly, and is made fresh. Personally, I find my way there often and friends enjoy the treat as well. True Experience

We were really excited to try gluten free products from this bakery. Our first experience was Thanksgiving. However, the pies we ordered (although fresh out of the oven) were dry. We gave it another chance during Christmas with the gluten free pull-a-part. It was quite beautiful and it was fresh out of the oven! However, once again it was dry. We tried it before warming it up- dry. Warmed up - dry. Microwaved with a wet paper towel - dry. Heated up with added butter - dry. We hope to be back in the future, but the recipes may be the recipes need some adjusting first. Truly a very cute bakery and the art work is great!

If you are gluten free or have food allergies and want a REAL bakery experience, this place is for you. I’ve ordered full sized cakes GF/SF ($50 ish) and also go regularly for a cupcake or pastry. They also have an assortment of non GF SF stuff for the less ingredient aware people. Their coffee bar is fantastic, and really stronger and better than any chain coffee. Order ahead on holidays!

When I called to ask about a white cake with blueberry and lemon toppings, I was told they could make a blueberry cake with lemon cream icing. Spectacular!!! I had to call a couple of times to reschedule since the service was postponed, but they graciously froze the cake until I needed it. It was as promised - lovely, delicious and perfect! The smell emanating from this bakery was delicious before we even walked in! I called the day before to verify outside seating was available and the gal I spoke with was so considerate, she asked me if I was planning coming that day cause it was about to start raining. Luckily, I was calling ahead and she was so polite I was excited to visit. Once inside, I was amazed by their selection of vegan & gluten free items! Everything was displayed separately by ingredient choices and they offered plenty selections for each. I ended up with 3 items, my friend with 2 and then while we were outside catching up, a nice couple asked us where we got our goodies and the ended up going inside and spending over $100! The staff was incredibly nice with helping me choose items that were safe for me. Don't be afraid to ask for suggestions! There may be more available than you think. Many of the (delicious) strudels are dairy-free, but not labeled as such, for example. Reviews: Cupcakes: weren't great - had too much frosting in my opinion. Dairy-free apple strudel: super good. It’s rare I go to Olde Town and skip this bakery. It’s worth the smells alone. It’s also one of the only bakeries I know of that caters to a wide range of dietary needs. They have everything from gluten free to dairy free to sugar free and vegan. And it’s all amazing! I’m particularly partial to their strudels with an accompanying coffee. Regardless of your diet preferences you won’t be disappointed. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They know their stuff and have no problem digging into ingredients. I had really high hopes for this bakery seeing all of the amazing reviews but I was honestly pretty underwhelmed. We ordered 3 things: 1. Chocolate torte: so unbelievably sweet I couldn’t really taste anything else. I didn’t take more than one bite. 2/10. Least favorite 2. Lemon Raspberry Torte- sounded good to my mom but she didn’t realize it had sprinkles (??) and candy (??) on top. It was one of those desserts that wasn’t super sophisticated, something that I’d expect from a top rated bakery. The taste was meh, ok 5/10. 3. Raspberry strudel was the best thing we ordered, but also way too sweet, hard to really taste the raspberry. 6/10. New to Denver and the dessert scene is really lacking!

Have been going to Rhinelander's for several years. Have always had a good experience, until today. Stopped by to purchase some baked goodies. The rock music was so loud that the clerk and I had to yell at one another to hear what I wanted to purchase. He kept having to pull the trays from the counter and have us point to the items because he couldn't hear above the music. Also, he was using one glove, but kept handling the baked items with his other bare hand. This has always been a 1st class business. Hope this isn't how it will be run in the future.

Friends just moved to Arvada and we stumbled upon this gem while strolling Olde Town. My girlfriend and I are both gluten free/dairy free so encountering a German bakery that has these options in addition to the normal delicious treats made our day. This isn't just a place with one or two options gluten free/dairy free options either. They've got like 40, not kidding you. The first day I tried the sticky bun, and she had the German Chocolate cake, both were sooo good. We ended up coming back two days later and tried the Boston Cream, Strawberry torte, Bavarian Cream, and German Chocolate cake again. We planned on saving two of those for later, but all four were gone in a few minutes. Last but not least, the smells coming out of this place are so tantalizing, and the staff is incredibly friendly. When you think of everyone's small town bakery, this should be the model. Bravo guys!!!

We visited this bakery in search of gluten-free items for my husband and myself. We were pleasantly surprised by the quantity of gluten-free, dairy-free and sugar-free options. There were 2 full cases of gluten-free treats, in addition to the case of gluten-free cakes. We've been to Rheinlander twice and the staff is very pleasant, helpful and inviting. We are having a sugar-free, gluten-free cake custom made for an upcoming birthday party. I'm excited and proud to be sharing this level of quality with my family and friends.

They're the best bakery in Colorado. They offer gluten free and dairy free options for family who are allergic. They have THE BEST kings cake in the country. Hey, NOLA makes king cakes but this place's is like an apple strudel and king cake produced a baby. Then, they take some of their profit and donate to the hurricane efforts in NOLA (which is incredible for a company these years later). The cream cheese is a personal favorite. I am glad that I live in Boulder or I very well might spend a lot of my money here and gain many many calories. But it would be worth it because these folks are lovely and their baked goods are divine.

FOR THOSE WHO HAVE CELIAC DISEASE - THIS IS SAFE!! A good sign to me is when I walk up and see a line out the door. When it was finally my turn, I was so overwhelmed by the assortment of gluten free/Dairy free options. I could have stayed there forever, browsing at the beautiful creations behind the glass. It truly smells wonderful in there and the folks who work there were just delightful. I informed the person helping us, that I have celiac disease and I could see that she took extra care to ensure no cross contamination. We drove 35 minutes for 2 cupcakes and 2 pasties. It’s totally worth it!

Small store in Old Arvada. Currently only 7 customers in at a time, so prepare for a line to get in. Some of their pastries are first come first serve or walk-in only, and some you can order online ahead. Cute, fun shop with hard working and fun staff. They are efficient, knowledgeable, quick and great to talk to! While they can be pricey on some things, you get what you pay for and then some! It's hard to find decent and quality German pastries and food in Colorado, but this is at the top of the list!

This place!!!! A HUGE selection of gluten free and vegan offerings. I bought a gluten free lemon and raspberry torte for a party and it was delicious! The icing was hard, and thick, the cake was dry. We were very disappointed. They have a wide variety of diet sensitive options (gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free all in some combo or another)--even a couple of sugar-free items. It's wide open so you can see bakers working behind the counter to keep the display cases full. The retail area is a bit cramped and chaotic, but the product is SO worth it!

I haven't tried the food that isn't gluten free and if it's half as good as their gluten free fare, it will be fantastic. I think the trademark for this bakery must be just how allergen friendly they truly are. My friend is borderline celiac level gluten intolerant and she can freely eat from this shop. She turned me on to their coffee cake and so I drove about half an hour to get one for a friend who lives more than an hour from the shop to let her have a try. The coffee cake was gone in just a few days and she didn't have much help with it. The staff is an especially important point to note. They are wonderful. They are happy and informative and happy to offer little nibbles of something they have out just to whet the pallet. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and their warm, cheery, inviting presence in that little shop. If you're within a half hour of Old Arvada, take a stop by. Your mouth will be thrilled that you did.

I needed a gluten free cake once for a co-workers birthday. When they told me the price, I told them I just needed one. They said that price is for one. Grudgingly I paid and I almost didn't try it because I was so upset by the price. Then after everyone at my office had a slice, there was one left, so I gave it go. I couldn't have been more wrong. As I was chewing, it was as if the clouds had parted, the sun had come out, and cherubs were singing with every bite. I realized that for the amount of work that must have went into the cake, how cheap it was. I almost went back and bought another one that same day. Plus it's gluten free! When was the last time you had something gluten free that you didn't immediately know there was something different and terrible about it? Oh never? That's how good this place is. The term is literally redefine for me forever.

My fiancée brought me here because of her love for all baked goods. What a pleasant surprise. I don’t care for German food at all but this bakery is the bees knees, bro. The sticky bun saturated in caramel and sprinkled with nuts was my indulgence. My wife got the infamous strudels they’re apparently popular for, which didn’t disappoint and remains worthy of such title. Everything is affordable so don’t think it’s some extravagant luxury. The same amount you spend for one coffee at a Starbucks is around the same price for a decadent piece of heaven around here. On top of all the aforementioned and my blood orange Italian soda, the women were super friendly and knowledgeable of their craft. We visited twice to ensure we had treats to bring back on our way to New Mexico.

Everytime I walk in there I'm always greeted with a smile and fantastic service. My company has even switched to Rheinlander for all our cake needs. Nice German bakery in Arvada Old Town. You just have to go in if you walk by, the smell will draw you in. There is something for everyone here, they actually have too many choices, which is a good thing. They have a nice selection of gluten free desserts/pastries. The cakes there are also delicious. If you're Jonesing for some coffee/tea, they can fix one up for you as well. So if you've been to Germany, this bakery will remind you of what you've been missing. I was really looking forward to tasting genuine German strudel, and especially so for the price. I was expecting fresh genuine, authentic German made strudel but instead it tastes like they're ordering it from the nearest Wal-Mart bakery. I miss my Oma's baking and stopped in while I was in town visiting. I got the black forest torte and bee sting torte because I didn't want to buy an entire cake. If I had a suggestion, it would be that they sold their cakes by the slice in addition to the tortes because it's a different dough in the torte and it wasn't what I was looking for. I also got the almond which were good but I wish they had hazelnut, too! The lintz cookie was AMAZING! They had a ton of items there and coffees. I recommend stopping in because you're sure to find something you like!

Marzipan, struessel, the best Black Forest cake I've ever had, and cupcake versions of all their cakes so you can try them all. Somewhat pricey, but you get what you pay for. Be drove quite far to get to this Bakery, very 🥳 but in the end, all the creamy pastries we bought were just too sugary, overpowered any flavor or creamy moistness about it. Only the strudels were the best, no joke. Even the Bunny latte was sooooo sweet, not enough coffee, took it home and added it to two cups of coffee as a creamer. The sales people were the Best👍 though, very happy, very pleasant, very polite, very upbeat environment.

My daughter commented that it was sad I couldn't have cupcakes anymore as in an 8 year olds life cupcakes are priority. Then one day we visit Arvada and walk into this wonderful bakery. I loved this bakery years ago, was walking around old town Arvada, decided to pop in for a treat. I was so disappointed in what I received. This dessert should be flaky and creamy with a hard top and it was doughy, frosting in top was wet and slippery, could not cut it, bite in to it, it just turned to mush! I threw it away along with the money I spent on it. I did call and let them know and the sweet girl on the phone did offer me a credit with an apology so that was very nice.

So delicious! The hardest part is choosing what to order. I got a cherry-sour cream strudel slice and a dobash (mini cake with layers of yuellow sponge and mocha frosting) on my first visit. My boyfriend preferred my strudel to his peach one, but the pastry was delicious on both, which I think is more important than the filling. On our next visit, I got a raspberry streusel sweet roll. My boyfriend got the cherry variety and an almond bear claw. They were all good, but I preferred the strudel slice I had gotten previously. On top of all that, I got a black forest torte for my birthday. Sooo good! The cherry is tart enough to balance the sweetness of the buttercream frosting. However, a small piece will do you. A 7-inch cake can feed several dessert-lovers.

This hidden gem has been located in the Arvada area for over 30 years and remains to this day one of the best bakeries in Colorado. Everything is made fresh daily with love. The coffee bar they installed is a great edition to their amazing pastries. You have to try their strudel, basicly ANY type and you can't go wrong. You can also purchase a half order of the strudel(I guarentee one bite and you will hoped that you went will the full order). Lastly, one thing that set's this business aside is their connection with giving back to the community.

When they opened thier gift thier eyes just lit up it got to be a tradition to get a strudel and stollen for Christmas. Delicious desserts that tantalize the taste buds. The strudel is where it's at. They've also got some coffee and a large selection of syrups to make Italian sodas. If you're in to those I recommend trying a few to find one you like and then buying a full bottle of the syrup from them (for the cost of 2 sodas) so you can make buckets of it at home.
