I have a gluten allergy so finding this shop was like a kid's dream. Zebra cakes, carrot cakes, cookies, brookies, brownies, all kinds of goodies. They also serve coffee but I haven't tried their coffee yet but it smells so good when you walk in. I have loved everything that I've tried from there. Took my kids last week and they didn't even know they were eating gluten free items until I told them. They have other stuff that is gluten free that isn't sweets that you can buy also.

Variety of gluten free options. The only sugar free option was a vanilla flavoring for coffee/cappuccino. Cappuccino was pricey for size cup, a little thick for taste but had great flavor. The most popular is the oatmeal creme cookie! I enjoyed the lemon/blueberry donut it would have been perfect with tea! Not a fan of Brownie cookie, but would have been better with warm milk.

AMAZING gluten free treats! 😍 Baking a good GF item is tough. Getting the texture and taste right is hard to do; they're often too dry, or too stodgy, or they crumble into dust, or you nail the texture but the taste is off. I've been eating GF since my celiac diagnosis almost 20 years ago, and this bakery is now in my top 2! I am so glad I detoured slightly to try this place! I live 2 hours from Columbus but was there for some volunteer work. Before driving home, I decided to treat myself. There's lots of street parking in the area but you'll likely still have to walk a little. The store is inside North Market (which took me a second to figure out because I am a country bumpkin!), and there's plenty of seating in the market should you wish to devour your treats immediately. I got a box of various yums, including a sugar cookie that is, hands down, THE BEST GF cookie I have ever had. I cannot express enough how the texture and taste were PERFECT. I've found sugar cookies to be one of the hardest things to make gluten free and have long since given up trying to make them myself. This was AMAZING. Just perfect. I also bought something called a 'doughnut muffin' (duffin?) that I devoured like a ravenous beast in my car. Somehow I managed to save the remaining treats. I had the coffee cake muffin (see photo) for the following days breakfast, and I have two additional treats in my freezer for future consumption. This bakery deserves all the love just for their incredible products but they also happen to staff the loveliest people! Very polite, helpful, and genuinely friendly. As you can see, I'm now a huge fan. Next time I'm in the area, I WILL be back! (And might buy the whole case of sugar cookies.😈)

I cannot say enough good things about Bake Me Happy and I have no clue how I haven’t saved photos of the treats! First, you’ll be drawn in by donut muffins to make your morning happy. From there you can decide to go cookie or cake. There’s no wrong answer. I will say though, the “zebra cake” is the best. Something about the white cake and white chocolate is perfect and also has a nostalgia factor. For Thanksgiving I got myself a sweet cream pie and pretended like I didn’t have a gluten issue and was eating a normal holiday treat. Oh, and in case you’re worried, the people who work here are all super friendly too! The only downside is your growing waistline!

As someone with a gluten allergy, you often find mediocre desserts and baked goods. When I tell you their desserts are the best I've ever had, I mean it. They're DELICIOUS and what I think might be the best gluten-free bakery I've ever been to. Support small businesses, and come get your baked goods from here! I love them.

We used to live around the corner from their first location and it became our favorite place to go get a sweet treat and a cup of coffee. Everyone who works there is so kind, if you are coming in for a quick drink or if you are staying for hours eating your way through their bakery case and working. I dare you to find something more delicious in Columbus than their coffee cake muffin. I dare you.

Yummy as heck! And tbh you'd never know this was gluten free. I am not and still go here because it's tasty and close to me. They do not do case cakes so if you need a whole cake, order a day or so ahead on their website!

Phenomenal selection of gluten-free baked goods. My wife requires a GF diet and I often find myself finding two restaurants or bakeries to satisfy both of us, but Bake me Happy is one of the few that makes baked goods so delicious, not only could one not tell they are GF but in my case, even prefer them over non-GF options. If I could make one recommendation, get yourself over there for one of their zebra cakes at your earliest convenience.

I was directed to this bakery by the Central Ohio African American Chamber of Commerce. My husband and I were passing through and looking to support a local Black owned establishment. We came late in the day, about 30 minutes before closing. They were super courteous and we're patient as we picked what they had available. With that being said the baked goods were out of this world! Love that it was gluten free and that I can order online. Coffee was cold, but like I said we were late, I didn't expect a fresh pot made. Decent cuppa.

This is an amazing, black-owned, 100% gluten free bakery. They work magic by creating amazingly textured pastries without the gluten. You get light and fluffy cakes and muffins (I'd recommend the donut muffin). The cookies are definitely the highlight for me; you can't go wrong with the signature oatmeal cream cloud, but they always have uniquely flavored cookies and brownies that you can expect to be decadent. They also have occasional non-dairy specials. Bake Me Happy will definitely satisfy your dessert craving and keep you coming back for more!

Love this place! I have to eat gluten free for health reasons, and it's so nice to have a dedicated gluten free bakery and coffee shop close to home. We visit several times a month and everything is always yummy. I especially enjoy seeing what special item they will be featuring each weekend - it means there's always something different to try! I've also gotten pies and cakes for special occasions from here and my family members that are not gluten free enjoyed them as well.

If you have any reservations, don't. Get rid of them. This is an amazing bakery and the staff are part of the wonderful experience. But above all, the quality of the products are amazing. I go in and out of eating healthier; and, this remains a consistent place to eat regardless of where I am in that process of my life. My son (5) loves donuts and all things pastry. As a family we decided around three months ago to stop eating gluten. About a month back he through fit and told us he was done being gluten free and he wanted donuts! Thanks for the awesome treats! Best part was finding a 6 pack of gluten free pale. Unreal!

This place is amazing for celiacs and the staff is great too, but please, please, please can you bring back the chocolate covered donut with filling? Those were my favorite as a child and I missed them when they were here. It would honestly mean the world to me!

Oh my word! I haven’t had little Debbie in YEARS. Their zebra cakes, king d’s and oatmeal pie are AMAZING, and better than what you had as a kid. They support locally owned women and minority businesses, and support LGBTQ+. I’ve tried every GF product under the sun. I’m not supposed to eat dairy but I didn’t care. They do have a few dairy free items, I’d call ahead. I cannot believe how amazing their baked goods are. Scones are good, too! Just let them take all your money. Plus they’re super nice people. Customer for life for zebra cakes alone. 💗

Our favorite coffee shop/house in Columbus. Great staff, food, and most importantly, an overall neighborhood vibe that's lost on so many places these days. In fact, it's not even our neighborhood, but the extra few minutes it takes to get there are worth it for the atmosphere, if not just for the baked goods. The bakery items are next level. I'm not gluten free, and I'd never know that the place is. Dare I say gluten free is better? In this case it certainly is. You could order blindfolded and not go wrong. Only complaint at all is there's not more Bake Me Happys around town. Do yourself a favor and drive past Starbucks once and check it out. You won't be disappointed.

I've never had cause to complain. The service is great. The baked goods are delicious whether you eat gluten or not. I like that they have a variety of options for people who have other sensitivities like grain or dairy. The only reason I wouldn't choose them over even gluten bakeries is the price. They're pretty expensive, but the prices compare to those of the few other gluten free bakeries around.

Gluten free bakery with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Some of the things in the shop seem "thrown in" but otherwise good vibes for a sweet stop. They may be moving to a new location this summer so watch out for that.

I could genuinely go on & on about this bakery. I can tell you from experience not many places can make amazing gluten free baked goods but this place NAILS THEM EVERY SINGLE TIME. For anyone with an allergy, or intolerance this is the place to go to curb your sweet tooth. I have never had a bad item from there in all the years I have been going. The atmosphere is always amazing. The staff are incredibly kind people. The only thing that I do not like - is the fact they won’t give out their donut muffin recipe 😂 I cannot recommend this bakery enough. This is my go to for any baked goods.

Amazing sweet treats! It is the kind of place that you'd never know it was gluten free if someone didn't tell you. Zebra Cakes and Oatmeal Cloud Cookie (or something delightfully similar) are my favorites. Also great coffee drinks, wine and seltzer to go, and a friendly staff. Bake Me Happy has become a favorite stop of mine (and my wife too)! I have a gluten sensitivity, so I need to stay away from many of my favorite desserts that are not gluten-free. When I walk into BMH, I feel like a kid in a candy store because I can have all of it - desserts (and other foods) that I have been unable to eat. This is the best gluten free bakery I have found. It’s so good that my wife, who normally stays away from gluten free stuff, loves it too! Their zebra cakes, king dons and oatmeal cloud cookies are better than the originals and that is saying something. This is a well-run, incredible, minority-owner business that received racial attacks, recently, I heard. This saddens me - so please patronize Bake Me Happy and show your love and support!!! ♥️

If there was a way to give Bake Me Happy 10 stars, they would deserve them all! :) I have celiac disease and often don’t get the chance to partake in fresh baked goods. My little (very thoughtful) sister surprised me with a carrot cake, zebra cake, coffee cake/muffin, cream cheese cut out cookie, and unicorn bites for a birthday gift and I was nearly in tears—the flavors were incredible, the textures (often kinda lumpy and dense with GF baked goods) were AMAZING! So fluffy and soft :) Please do yourself a favor and give them a try and thank you to Bake Me Happy for the best birthday cake I’ve had in 15+ years!

Being sensitive to gluten and having friends with the same sensitivities means we are constantly on the hunt for good gluten free treats. I started following Bake Me Happy on Instagram and creeped on all of their photos and drooled over the photos. I finally had a reason to go. This place is less than 15 minutes from my work, it’s tucked away off of parsons on Moler. There’s ample street parking, however I’m sure it’ll be harder to find parking as they gain popularity. The inside is cute and clean. I was promptly greeted and asked if he could prepare a drink for me. They stole my heart when I realized that their cold brew coffee only comes in a 20 oz for only $3! *shovels my money over to them* Looking over the treats, I may have slightly lost my mind. I ordered four oatmeal pies, three brownies, two rice krispy treats, three zebra cakes, two peanut butter cookies and a blueberry lemon pound cake. For 15 treats and a a cold brew my total was about $55. Well. Spent. My husband who typically scoffs at gluten free things gobbled his treats down without a complaint, and my friends raved about theirs as well. I will definitely be coming back and telling everyone what a wonderful place this is!

Their baked goods are really good and they have shop favorites plus a variety of new items to try every week. A coworker brought a box of your cookies to work this wee and I tried the sweet and salty dark chocolate chippy-wow! I don’t aim to eat gluten free but am happy when given the opportunity to do so and this was a wonderful cookie. I love dark chocolate and sea salt cookie

First time customer. We were very surprised at the wonderful gluten free desserts and they carry a fantastic dinner roll in the freezer that you would never know is gluten free! Only problem is we went back and they were out of the dinner rolls. Bummed to say the least but we did get a few more treats! Definitely a place to go if you have gluten issues.

So in love with this bakery. I stayed on the outskirts of German Village and googled "gf bakery". They have a wonderful facility, parking, good prices and their all of the products they bake are spot on amazing. They also have a coffee bar, so I got an americano with my goodies. Can't say enough good things about this bakery. Hopefully their dining area will be reopened the next time I travel to Columbus. *They also have dairy free and vegan baked goods*. Bake me Happy made me VERY HAPPY.

The food and coffee is great, the service is wonderful and very personal. The shop feels very intimate as well and has become a new favorite. I have friends who are gluten free and this is a staple for our outings thanks to their baked goods. Reccomend even if you aren't gluten free or have dietary needs!

Delicious, welcoming, a true place that I love. Bake me happy as daily made treats that are out of this world. The dough or cake mixture is moist and fluffy, not like other gluten free food that could mimic cardboard. Bake me happy always makes me happy with their classics like the coffee cake with thick vanilla creme icing or the donut muffins that make you feel included in the world again. Just because you are allergic, doesn't mean you are alone. This place is safe from allergens and the most friendly staff in the world. If I could bake I would ask for job there.

My granddaughter’s 10th Birthday and this was our destination for a fun outing and a bit of sweet treats. My grandchild has Celiac disease so it is very difficult to find places she can enjoy eating. The staff was very nice, and made her feel special! The pastry top notch and delicious. A bit pricey to me, but the flavor of the little cakes, and scone...Delicious!!! Park across the street, then enter a beautiful little coffee house and bakery. Large selection of gluten free items and coffees I got a cold brewed coffee and four tastey treats one delicious brownie didn't make it home 😁. It's quiet and clean with plenty of seating if you'd rather eat in and the employees couldn't have been more helpful or polite. I'll go back for sure.

Very delicious treats. Not too sweet, but sweet. I do not like overly sweetened desserts- makes them taste awful, so this bakery is right up my alley! For now, I’m going to say my favorites are the peanut butter cookie and the cream cheese icing Ohio shaped cookie. I can’t have coffee often, but I had a cup here and it was delicious! This place is a gem. Great place to pick up or sit down for GF goodies. There are plenty of baked goodies to choose. Cakes are delicious. Surprisingly baked items have no after taste. You can't tell it's gluten free. It is pricey.

I absolutely loved this place! Ever since i found out i have Celiac Disease its been one hell of a challenge and i was researching gluten free establishments. I found Bake Me Happy in my search and found out its right down the way from where i work and 20 minutes from my home. I went and tried it and the customer service and the quality of their baked goods blew my mind! I never want you guys to close the doors! I'll be a customer of the company until the end of days! They had a cinnamon muffin thing i tried, i could eat a dosen of them. So fresh and soft. Just thinking about it makes me want to jump in the car and come now! Lol. Thanks Bake Me Happy for being their for all of us that have a gluten allergy! And i love the fact that there is no chance for cross contamination!!!! 10 stars from me

Absolutely enjoyed this cute little bakery/cafe. Since being diagnosed with Celiac disease, these types of goodies have been a thing of the past for me. Had a cinnamon doughnut muffin that was amazing! Coffee was great too. (Try the Thunderkiss roasters!) There is also a small corner with kids books and bean bag chairs that my grandkids enjoyed, kept them happy. Will definitely go back!

Amazingly delicious GF food, and very pleasant service. My wife has celiac disease, and this is a completely safe place for her--and a great treat. I just had the Cadbury Egg brownie, and honestly one of the best chocolate deserts I have EVER had, and that's saying something because I know and like my chocolate. (And when I say "have EVER had," I mean even among non-GF food. It was that good. The cream offset the intensity of the chocolate just enough that it was that much more amazing. So dense, delicious.) Needless to say, we will be back soon.

My younger brother lived in Merion Village for a couple of years. I always passed this place and wanted to visit this location and on Sunday I finally did. I went with a friend after having lunch and I ended up having the Oatmeal Creme Cloud and he had the Moon Pie and the Brown Butter Rice Krispie Treat and let's just say it was the BOMB. The Oatmeal Creme Cloud reminds you of an oatmeal cream pie by Little Debbie, but it tastes nothing like it and that is a GOOD THING. I don't know how to explain, but it was just delish and wasn't overly sweet. Usually, I will say a place is ok for being gluten-free or vegan, but this place is overall an EXCELLENT choice for great baked goods. With this being said, I will definitely be a repeat customer. Also, their customer service is top notch. :) I rate this venue as follows: Service: 5/5 Location: 5/5

I can't say enough about this place. And since they've become a sit down coffee shop it's just a little piece of heaven. Don't get wrapped up in the "Gluten Free" part if GF isn't part of your regular diet. Their baked goods are AMAZING! Their oatmeal creme clouds (a larger version of an oatmeal cream pie) are a reason for living. Prices are higher than a lot of places, but worth it for made-on-site specialty goods. And many of their items are much larger than what you'd get anywhere else. Treat yourself to some BMH. You won't be sorry.

Bake Me Happy is the BEST bakery in Columbus. Fortunately for folks with celiacs and gluten intolerence, it's a gluten free bakery. It also helps that the owners and workers are pretty fantastic and so knowledgable about GF living. My recommendation: get a whole box of goodies to sample instead of just one treat.
