I promise you’ve never had a homemade Dessert Fix like this! As a dessert connoisseur & former dessert caterer, I LOVE discovering new places that serve sweets worthy of my palate and standards! What I loved most about this gem on Main Street in Columbia, SC was the selection of treats! And here’s why- I can’t stand it when I go somewhere that has so many options- it takes forever to decide, or I feel like I’m going to miss out on getting all that I want because it’s too much. The decision-fatigue takes away from the experience. Not here! My daughter and I were warmly greeted by each team member. Service was quick but not rushed. Listen, our standards of excellence and sweet teeth were satisfied! The icing on the cake? They’re black-owned & operated! Pictures: Rich buttery cookies adorned with addictive toffee and chocolate chips, a rich blondie elevated with pecans, a nostalgic warm & fluffy cinnamon roll that reminded me of childhood treat days at a local cinnamon roll bakery, decadent sweet potato pound cake slice drizzled with caramel then sprinkled with pecans, tender southern pound cake slice with a crunchy crust (my favorite part), and an apple pie cheesecake bar that sent my tastebuds over the moon!

This place has the most AMAZING cakes, cookies, and other items! We also ordered a custom birthday cake for our 8 year old! I gave them basic information and they made a little girls birthday magical. Cake was beautiful and just as good as it looks. This is also a locally owned business! Worth every penny!

Amazing bakery, good people and delicious desserts! I’ve had so many and make a weekly trip sometimes twice a week lol. Stop by grabbed a few favs Apple Pie Cheesecake, Red Velvet and Chocolate on Chocolate, try this bakery, plenty yummy treats even lunch try the hot dogs and chicken salad on croissant.

Absolutely an amazing cake for my beautiful Mother-in-love who turned 60 today. It’s actually a Red velvet cake. The smell of the cake filled the room that our Waitress said “that she’ll take a piece of the cake as her tip”. Thank you for preparing it with love and dedication. I stopped here off of a friend's recommendation. Was greeted very warmly and with a smile. Cake sampling was awesome. I really wanted to purchase one of everything! I ended up purchasing and apple crumble cheesecake and a slice of pineapple coconut cake. Cake was very moist and melts in your mouth. I ate the cheesecake later that day after dinner and it did not disappoint. They have definitely gained a new customer in myself and I hope others try it as well because this place really needs to succeed.

Everything is good but your prices are ridiculous, no more Hot dogs, I think you all should bring that back and pay attention to your loyal Customers, your parking lot was empty when I came by never saw that before, you are running your customers away with the way you all are doing things.Enjoyed doing business with you, but you all have made a great deal of changes and we are so shocked. Your price for a slice of cake says 3.25 you need to put the corrected price which has over a 2.00 price increase which is absurd. Good luck

An amazing bakery with excellent staff! For our 1st visit today we got a HUGE, walnut topped brownie and a slice of sweet potato pie - both delicious at reasonable prices. When we arrived mid-afternoon they had already sold out of a number of their popular goodies. We will be back, but earlier in the day next time!

I called to have my sisters gender reveal cake done ready for pickup on a Saturday 3/12. I got their voice-mail which said to email them for future orders ( annoying, fine). I email informing them I live in Colorado and I want to order my sisters gender reveal cake and have it paid for and ready for pick up on Saturday. After a little back and forth via email, I explained they were having a girl (they don't know it). So we want the cake pink with white frosting and a big question mark on top with multi colored dots around. I provided them with a picture of what mine looked like. My sister went to pick it up on Saturday and said "Wow, I kinda feel like this cake gives it away." I didn't say anything...but later we talked after the party and she said the cake was delicious, but it really gave it away. I said yeah, I thought so too, and I'm so sorry. For $70. I just don't think I would recommend this place.

My visit at the Main Street Bakery was excellent. Got a slice of cake and two cupcakes. Fantastic and Delicious. Can't wait for Billy to get that food truck up and running. I really miss having the macaroni salad with tuna. Haven't been there in over 4 years. Next time I'm going to try the hot dog combos and probably order two Cakes for my Goddaughter. My family and I stopped in for the first time today and we're beyond impressed by the service, food and atmosphere. We were greeted and welcomed so warmly, everyone absolutely loved my daughter. I'm a jersey girl so I was raised on really good cheesecake but nothing has ever come close to what we picked up from Main Street Bakery today! Oh my gosh it was SO good. The turtle cheesecake was so light and creamy and the apple pie cheesecake was absolutely decadent. I can't wait to make the trip back to try other sweets!

Definitely recommend ordering any custom cake from Main Street Bakery! Employees are super friendly and helpful. For my wife's birthday, my four year old daughter decided the theme should be mom's favorite animal. And so with that we were having a squid party. After have a few different places tell me a squid cake would be to difficult, I checked with Main St Bakery. Not only was I told it could be done, but the cake decorator seemed excited to do it. She walked me through cake flavors and helped me to design the perfect cake for the party. After placing my order and setting a pick up date, we had to make a change of plans and I not only needed my cake earlier than planned but needed it picked up on a Saturday. All of which they handed without any problems and the cake was Awesome!! My kids where so excited to pick it up and couldn't wait to surprise mommy when they got it home. And more important than the cake looking great, it was delicious too! If you have a birthday or other themed party take your ideas to Main Street Bakery and let them make you something extraordinary that will have people talking about it for years!

I recently used Main St. Bakery for my wedding cake and the entire process went so smoothly! This is a family-owned business, and from the initial tasting, where Miss Rosa sent home cake for my now-husband who couldn't make it, to the top tier that they gave us to freeze, I loved feeling like I was working with a small business that treats every customer like a VIP. Main St. Bakery was able to design and execute a cake that checked all of our (many) boxes, and the price was was so affordable! The cake looked like it costed thousands of dollars (and tasted like it too). It was set up beautifully and they delivered it right on time, making my wedding day free of stress. My mother-in-law even booked them for the rehearsal dinner, and, as a surprise, they made a groom's cake with my dog's face on it. After meeting with many bakeries in Columbia, I am so glad I went with them--as far as I am concerned, they are truly the best bargain, giving you high-quality service without a ridiculous price tag .

Excellent cakes! One of the few bakeries in Columbia who KNOW how to bake a red velvet cake. Prices and portion sizes of the cakes are reasonable. The staff is really nice and efficient in their business operations, even during their busiest hours. In the future, I plan to order a cake for my special events.

The only two things that I like from them is the chewies, and the red velvet cupcakes. I’ve tried other cupcakes and they are not all that. Also make sure you check your bag before you leave, will not be going again. $28 gone 12 cupcakes only like 4 red velvet.

I have ordered from, "Main Street Bakery" on numerous occasions. They have always done an extraordinary job, however my cake today was beyond words. We ordered a cake for our daughters babyshower. When, I layed eyes on the cake emotional was an understatement. The cake was absolutely stunning and the detail was perfect . The decorator/ decorators brought my vision to life in unimaginable ways. Taking a reference from my Sister who works for the City of Columbia I purchased a Salad and a slice of Pound Cake. The gentleman who took my order was very pleasant, and the young lady who rang me up at the register was not only beautiful but very Customer Service oriented. I think I will send my Son by to meet her (smile). I pray that they keep the portions like they are because i was very satisfied with everything I purchased. Everything is delicious! The chicken salad sandwhich, the chilli hotdog, the pasta salads, cakes, cupcakes, cookies, apple cheesecake and banana pudding cake, OMG! The portions are generous and worth every penny, you will not be disappointed. I also order all of my special occasion cakes with them. The customer service is always 5 star, very friendly.

Deliciously fresh food and desserts (especially the red velvet cupcakes), friendly staff, clean and cute establishment -- what more can you ask for? Oh, and they're very reasonably priced! Their service was great,everyone greeted that was at work even the guy that was outside trimming the grass.However the red velvet cake was a bit dry and that's what made it unbearable to eat .I really wanted my cake to look like the ones they had on the display but it wasn't.I am not going to give up on them cause I know they got it going on and maybe they may have had a bad day,but I will return with a lot more buisness .
