Reviews of Mike's Pastry
Rayna Portnoy
Stopped by after dinner and we were pleasantly surprised! Many flavors of cannolis! A lot of comfort dessert items available. Everything we got was delicious and decadent! Definitely going back for more!

Mike’s is a great place to visit when you’re in the area. The shell of the cannoli had a great crunchy, flaky texture. The staff were extremely friendly and patient at this location. The sweetness level was just right but I wasn’t a fan of the filling inside which was too thick. I expected the filling for the pistachio to be flavoured cream as well but it was just nuts on the side, just not what I expected. The limoncello was great!! I can see why it’s great for a lot of people but it just wasn’t for me.

If you want to go there, prepare yourself! Pastry In a good localization, easy to go by foot! The place is always crowded! Lot of people come from everywhere to taste mikes desserts! They are so delicious and fresh! If you are in Boston you must taste. They only accept money and you have a huge variety of products! We picked up a canolli! So good! We paid 5 dollars/each. A fair price!
Alex Rittenhouse
Famous pastries in Boston. A fun experience for a tasty treat! They serve other pastries than what they are famous for, so come in still if you aren't w fan of cannolis. CASH ONLY. The lady that helped us was quite rude, however. With all the people in line it's hard to view your options, and they seem to expect you to know what you want when it's your turn. Be prepared to wait in line. 5 stars for taste. 2 stars for service.

Boston famous pastry shop! All the locals recommend we visit here and we were not disappointed. Allow extra time, lines could be long, but they move quick. Cash only spot. Most every item is $4 or $5. Excellent cannolis!
Anna Gibbs
Hands down the best Black and White cookie ever.
The line can look intimidating but it moves very quickly. I recommend standing in the far right line once you are inside so you can take a closer and longer look at the amazing pastries on display in the cases before you make it to the front counter to order.
Ethan Unverferth
😋These are some delicious pastries!! I got the Boston Cream Pie… oh man it was absolutely delectable! It’s funny, literally every trash can within a half mile of this place is filled to the brim with Mike’s boxes. This gave me a clue that there was something delicious close by. I followed that clue until I reached my destination, boy am I glad I did. The service wasn’t the greatest, but it was well worth it. I highly recommend stopping by and getting some pastries here!
Tiff Lara
Holy smokes!!! Go here!!! It is absolutely delicious. We were closing to get here before close which we did. Long lines, beware but I understand why. Cannolis are delicious. Taste of heaven in your mouth. I’m in a food coma. Go get some damn cannolis now!
Rubin Wilson
The cannolis are awesome well worth the wait, and yes there is a line to get in. The day I visited it was outside and heading down the street. Also be advised they take CASH ONLY! I was half way in before in noticed and to leave the lime to go to the bank across the street. Then start all over with the line which grew longer. I would suggest know what you want when you get there they move people pretty quickly. Also try there lobster tails, they are huge and stuffed with cream. I couldn't finish it. Enjoy!
Jimmy Chanchavac
We came as a group. They have a list of all the pastries on the wall. But I like to look, someone stayed in line while I looked around.
I didn’t get to eat them but the rest of the family loved them.
jc
We saw everyone with Mike's and realized we needed to visit it. So glad we did! We got several pastries and you get your money's worth! They were heavy! Make sure to have cash as well, as they are cash only. Worth every money and loved the workers! Fast and friendly!!
The Benj
The great and famous Mike's pastry. Let's play a song this place has the wonderful organization and it is true their pastries are amazing especially they are Connolly's. Very good in-and-out going order what you want and get out. Only problems that since they are so busy the Employees are And look stressed so they are not Very friendly or smile and you often feel rushed trying to make your order.

If you are visiting Boston and forgot to check this place out, your Boston trip is incomplete. The statement may sound like a bit of stretch, but you get the point. This is an absolute iconic place. Well, I haven’t been to sissily, or Italy. So obviously I don’t have any first hand experience of ‘ authentic’ cannoli. But I’m convinced ( and also a lot of people have the same opinion.) that they sell the best cannoli in the usa. Remember that they are the CASH ONLY place. There are a few arms nearby including a 7/11. The shop looks like an old charm pastry/ confectionary shop. They have a lot of various cannoli varieties. I tasted the original, pistachio, and the amaretto. The pistachio one is the winner to me. Don’t forget to taste the pistachio cannoli. They are sweet, however not overly sweet. The size is huge. The shop is always very crowded. So expect a huge waiting line. Also in the north end/ little Italy region as a whole the parking is a huge deal. I would suggest to take a cab instead of driving your own car. I had my best cannoli here, is there any good reason for you to miss it ?
Evan Buchholz
Tried cannolis here and at Modern Pastry, and these were my favorite. Super delicious casing and filling. I tried pistachio and chocolate chips, pistachio was my favorite by far. I definitely agree with some of the other reviews. Huge line, hard to see all of the options, and the lady that served me wasn't rude, but was not warm and welcoming and seemed a little impatieny. However, if you like cannolis, I'd definitely recommend it. The other pastries looked good, too, though. CASH ONLY. $5/cannoli. Tax is included at least.

Mike's Pastry is a an icon! I can't think of Boston without it! The line will ALWAYS be out the door, but it is a must hit bakery! There are dozens of pastries to choose from and I recommend having your order ready when you get to the register (there isn't a lot of time to decide/deliberate)!
I have tried a lot of different goodies from Mike's and my favorites treats are:
Florentine Cannoli (by far my favorite, its really sweet)
Champagne Cookies
Boston Cream Pie
Chocolate Croissant
Definitely an authentic atmosphere and worth a visit!
Mikee B
So many great choices of pastries. I picked Boston Cream Pie & Italian wedding cookies. All so good. Great ladies working the counters really moving customers through the line without making you feel rushed.
Ju
Absolutely love Mike’s Pastry!! Mike’s Pastry definitely has my vote for best cannolis in Boston! Each cannoli is $5 each and there are so many flavors and options to choose from!! The filling is delicious and each cannoli is huge. I recommend their chocolate mousse cannoli (it’s amazing). I have not tried any of the other desserts they offer but they look very appetizing. Lines are usually always long but go by quickly
Zoe Moore
WOW! Incredible. Both the chocolate dipped chocolate chip cannoli and the carrot cake were our favorites. Highly recommend. Ensure you bring cash…it is cash only!
Rob Morra
Be prepared to stand in a long line, however it moves fairly quickly. Cash only so make to have some on hand. Open late so they keep a fresh stock of the majority of stock throughout the day. Cant beat the ricotta cannoli and a classic lobster tail!
Ben Vance
Fairly good pastry shop that I was told is a must try. Relatively really good pastries, but wouldn’t say they’re life changing. Line was out the door so maybe it messed with my expectations.
The cannolis are good (got the pumpkin spice one). Then the lobster tails are massive and thick which can be great for the whole family. Not going to lie I’d get it again just for myself. Would prioritize the cannolis though if you had to go with one.
Place is busy so get there early if you want to try something. However, maybe we burned 10-20 minutes in line waiting. Depends on how bad you want it.
Lisa Schultz
Oh my goodness, I know now what all the hype is about! That was the best cannoli I have ever had! They were fresh, incredible flavor & great fast service. It was extremely busy but the staff were fast & so sweet. They did an incredible job with the crowd. Great flavors! The oreo was my favorite!
Angelica Oung
What a world that we can get a lobster tail pastry delivered to our hotel in under an hour. I remember them well as an undergraduate visiting Boston often. Back in those days I can eat a whole one all by myself. Nowadays I can barely finish 1/3 of these enormous pastries. Have they gotten bigger with time?
I think maybe modern pastry is a little bit better than Mike's at least in my recollection. I don't know why I got Mike's probably because it came up in my app first. In any case it's a hefty pastry and you would probably love it if you prefer your lobster tail filled with whipped cream. I prefer mine with the other kind of cream that is more custardy.
Emily Anderson
It's a busy spot and there are times the li e wraps around the corner. Delicious cannoli and other treats. The pistachio macaroons are an instant favorite prepared to perfection. I think they're the best in boston... you can really taste the ricotta... but do the challenge and figure it out for yourself! (Mike's vs Modern)
Jackie Wade
We were looking for a good local bakery to go to, and we remembered that friends recommended Mike's. It did NOT disappoint! There are so many choices for cannolis and basically anything you can think of. My family ordered a hazelnut cannolis, pistachio cannoli, a cupcake for my son, and a slice of tiramisu. The cannolis were huge! They feel heavy but then you take a bite and it's light and creamy and just everything heavenly. So go now. I may make a 2nd and maybe a 3rd trip while we're in town.
It's CASH ONLY. We didn't see the sign until after we were indoors and I had to call for my husband to run cash to me. Also, if the line is long, it moves fast! We were wrapped around the corner and in line 20 minutes tops. Also, while you're in line, look at your options. The workers are amazing but obviously want to move people in and out. Know what you want, order, and get out. And then enjoy that bite from heaven.
Sonam Tamang
I had the hazelnut cannoli and it was very delicious, quite big and not overly sweetened. Lineups can be long at various times, but the service was very quick and well worth the wait. It could be so much faster if they accepted credit and debit.
tracy cole
Original ricotta cannoli: the cream filling is amazing. Perfectly sweetened. Pastry shell seemed burnt or cooked in old oil. Italian weeding cookies are too lemony. Ricotta pie is good but very basic
Nina T
Got to try the cannolis from Mike’s Pastry during our trip to Boston a few months ago.
I’m not a huge fan of cannolis but these were actually so good. Definitely a must try if you’re ever in Boston.
Katherine Melnyk
I liked this place, a huge variety of pastry and cannolis. We were here a couple times. My personal recommendation is “Lobster Tail”. It is large, enough for two, but worth trying, very crispy tube and delicious cream. And of course try the cannoli. The cream in the cannoli is similar to the cream in the «Lobster Tail”. We tried “Pistachio Cannoli”, it was tasty.
I also want to note that you can only pay in cash there. This place is very popular, so there is usually a very long line. But don't worry, the service is very fast and you won't have to wait too long.
D Pak
It's a no frill cannoli shop. The ladies may come off blunt, but I enjoy it. There is almost an overconfidence in their attitude where the cannoli speaks for itself. I would stick to the original cannoli as it really sets the bar for all cannoli. My wife got the Nutella, though I was not a fan. Stick to the regular stuff with maybe some topping.
John Pishotta
Not that this establighment, like others in Little Italy, is CASH ONLY.
While the Cannoli was good, staff left much to be desired. Yep, it was busy, but each time we were asked what we would like, the staff member looked away and was cutting jokes with staff - 4 times. Just didn't appreciate the lack of hospitality.
Jade Kramer
Long line (always means it’s good). I ordered chocolate chip cannolis and they were some of the best that I’ve ever had. Cannolis are huge and very fairly priced for what you get! Highly recommend going if you are in the area -make sure you bring cash, it’s cash only!
Phạm Đường Thư (Cath)
Mike's Pastry is one of the most famous pastry shops in Boston, due to its quality and history. They have the best Italian cannoli ever! The texture of the bread is soft but crunchy enough, and the cream is smooth and tasty. It is only around $4 per cannoli, which is a cheap price for this perfect bite! A lot of people visit the shop and have their boxes around the "Italian town", North End, so sometimes it takes a bit long to wait. However, its taste would never disappoint you!
Laura Turner
I ordered a traditional cannoli with the chocolate chips on both ends. The pastry is the perfect level of crispy/crunchy/flaky, the cream has hints of amaretto (which you can smell as you enter the bakery) and the shell is filled with a decadent ricotta filling that has the perfect texture for a dessert. You sink your teeth into it and then your tongue is met by the delicious flavor.
Anthony Scott
Make sure you have cash as they don't take credit card.
Despite the long lines, the employees behind the counter were hustling to get people in and out quickly. However, don't get to the front of f line and ask which cannoli they recommend because you still get an attitude. I ended up with the espresso and thought it was very good.
Jeff Liwag
Great cannolis (haven't tried the other pastries). Be forewarned: they only take cash and there is always a long line on the street. When you get inside though, there are multiple lines and they operate like a bar. When you get to the front of your line, lean on the "bar" and make eye contact until you catch their attention. They are very friendly though (in a Boston kind of way) and they'll take your order by memory.
Nikola M
Oh, Mike, Mike! What a busy bakery you got yourself. I liked but didn’t love the pastry. Traditionally too sweet and mass made, so some items will already be on the stale side. Definitely one of very few places like this in Boston, making it quite popular, but compared to what you get in bakeries around the world or even Tatte or the Flour Bakery in Boston, it’s too high of a price for what you get in return. To be fair, they have a good selection of cannolis. Oh, and did I mention this place is CASH ONLY? I couldn’t believe it either.
Jeremi Nussbaum
Great spot with delicious treats! Canoli was worth the wait and the various cookies I got were very good as well! Perfect stop right after dinner to top the night off.
Bhakti Dalvi
Ordered the pistachio cannoli and custard cream puff.It was the best cannoli I have had. Very subtle taste, not too sweet. It is a must try, worth the hype.
Jenza
Famous bakery specialising in cannolis, cream buns and more. Cash only - although there are plenty of atms in the area. Gets really busy, but the queues move fast. 1 cannoli = $5
PK Kashyap
We were visiting the Paul Revere house when we saw many folks walking by with these boxes. We just had to know what was in them and try out the place. It's a quick walk from that part of the town, BUT, that's where the easy/happy part ends.
There was a hugeeeee line which seemed to be just growing endlessly with tourists and locals thronging this shop, which only added to all the expectations.
Also, it's cash only! We didn't realize until we stepped inside. Thankfully one of my friends had cash. Lots of people to help out behind the counter but their patience runs super thin. So you either be ready with your order mentally or prepare to get rushed!! Since it was our first time, we took 20 long seconds to look into the display to figure out what to order other than the cannolis (which are about 30 different flavors to choose from). Decision fatigue, hello! Ended up ordering the coffee and espresso cannolis and nothing else.
They were okay. Not anything like what this whole experience led us to think they will be like. The cannoli was huge, filled to the brim and we did not need 3 for 4 people. 1 would've been sufficient. Not a fan of how it tasted. The pastry was a bit hard and both chocolate and espresso tasted the same - like unflavored cream. Underwhelmed.
Jainif Marediya
Really good spot for cannoli. Got the chocolate chip, the Florentine, the chocolate mousse, and the lobster tail. The lobster tail wasn’t good at all - it was just a cream puff pastry fully loaded with cream. It was my first time trying this type of pastry so didn’t know what to expect but won’t ever have it again. The florentine was pretty good but the chocolate chip one was my favorite. The ricotta was flavorful and the shell was nicely made. The chocolate mousse was ok - I wasn’t a fan. The line is messy inside but goes quick and they only take cash. Portions and taste wise I liked this place more than Modern especially since it was sweeter
Lance Pachon Mueller
Very friendly staff, they had so many options it was very hard to choose. I couldn't tell if cannoli's are supposed to be that big or if I have been eating small ones my whole life but it was delicious. Well worth the visit
Brad Walker
Holy Cannoli! I'm visiting Boston on work and had the chance to have a Mike's Pastry cannoli. My first time eating a cannoli and it was great. I got this one at the shop located in The Garden and the young man in the shop making it was super friendly and hilarious. Good times..
Brianna Middlewood
I can only review the cannoli since that’s all I had, but I had it twice! Plus my Italian boyfriend loved it. We had the amaretto cannoli…amazing. They pipe the shells fresh with filling, which means a crispy shell (rather than letting them sit around and get soft). This one had the ricotta filling which I like because it’s a bit lighter than the marscapone filling. Oh, and these cannolis (and everything else…) are enormous. The line is often long, but it moves fast. Cash only!
Marissa Gomez
The best cannolis of my life! It looks like there’s a long line most times of day but it moved fast! I would say they’re definitely bigger than you’re average cannoli so keep that in mind if you’re just looking to try one. Also don’t forget cash!
Noah
Line out the door constantly, but they do a good job keeping all of the different pastries in stock. One of the biggest lobster tails that you'll find anywhere, and it's pretty good (seems like they have changed the cream on the inside of the pastry though, less sweet/creamy). Tiramisu was a little bland and lacking sugar, but it had a good coffee flavor.
Douglas Seah
It can range from a 2 hour queue when Red Sox is playing on an evening or a 1 min queue in the morning the very next day. 5 star rating if there is no queue, 2 star rating if I have to wait 2 hours for this.
I suggest buying just 1 for yourself and eating it fresh out of the store. Don’t leave it overnight as it loses freshness very quickly and the pastry gets soggy and weird.
Friendly counter staff where is there no queue!
JohnDoe
This was the one place recommended to us by multiple people on our trip to Boston. And it did not disappoint in the least bit. Also refreshing to find a place in Boston where you didn’t have to wear a mask. Lines were long but moved quickly, CASH ONLY. Unfortunately we could only try three things because I had used most of my cash already that day. 10/10 will go back next time I visit Boston.
Martin Lutz
Cannoli prefecture. We bought four for two of us but could only eat one. Great pastry. Best I've had for awhile. Get some from the best! Forget the rest
Pei
Be prepared for a long queue but it is moving fast. Get in the line & be ready to indulge into the world of pastries! We tried the florentine cannoli, crispy & delicious!
Cathy Bauer
Wicked good canoli and other pastries. Recommended by a tour guide and a stop not to miss. So good in fact we went back two days in a row. Try more than just the canola though. Hubby said the best apple turnover in his life. We'd go back to Boston just to go back to Mike's. If you see a line, don't walk away. It moves fast and worth the short wait.
Marina Kumanina
It is amazing : lot of different famous cannoli… Big crowd but do not feel sorry for the wasted time cause you need to try them )
Shanks Gavin
To quote a passerby after seeing the box of treats in my hand; “Mike’s? Life is good!” A cannoli and tiramisu. Simply the best. The lady fingers were soft and thoroughly soaked in espresso and the creme was beyond light, fluffy with just a touch of sweetness. The place may be packed, but you will be served in record time. Just remember to bring cash to keep the line flowing.
Revathy
Stating the obvious, the canoli here is simply amazing. So rich and filling. While all the flavors are good, I found the classic ricotta canoli to be my favorite.
Wahhaj Ahmed
A pastry shop in little italy with rich italian taste. They have big variety of canoli sorting with many different toppings. I tried the Pistachio canoli and it was great. The size is big so it is too much for one person. Do take someone with you to share it with ☺️. The price was 5.5$. Only CASH. There is a sitting court opposite to Paul Revere's house, just 5 minutes walk away from Mike's.
Christopher Frey
There is always a line bht it moves quickly. I am not personally a cannoli fan so I appreciate the wide selection of desserts. I usually get the lobster tails, which are a decadent treat.
Valeria
This was the first time I had a cannoli, so I was recommended to try the ones at Mike's Bakery.
The bread, cakes and desserts here are big and the cannolies are big as well. If you have a sweet tooth like me you'll want two cannolies, but if not I guess one will be more than enough.
I ordered a nutella cannoli because I thought it was going to be nice. Then I asked to the lady at the bakery to recommend me another one, she said "try the florentine cannoli, that's my favourite", so I ordered that one as well.
Both looked so appetitive and sweet, however, the florentine cannoli was definitely the best one. Not really sure the ingredients of the florentine, but the flavour of the chocolate crust and the filling match perfectly. Rather than the other one. Think nutella doesn't go with ricotta.
Anyway, there are lots of options, try them all and find the one that matches with your palate. I might try the peanut butter next.
Cons: long queue, people at the bakery are rushing you to order in a grumpy way.
Anne Marie Afrasiniei
Tried out both Mike's Pastry and Modern Pastry (walking distance from each other!). Went on a Thursday so the line moved fast!
From Mike's we got the chocolate chip (w/ ricotta cream filling) and the chocolate mousse cannoli's. They are HUGE! A bit pricey but you get a hefty cannoli! The ricotta one was delicious, shell was super crunchy, chocolate chips added the perfect texture. The mousse one was light and airy - a great option if you're looking for something a little less rich. Whenever we find ourselves back in Boston, we would want to try the chocolate ricotta instead (missed the ricotta richness!), as well as a bunch of the different million flavors they have!
Now, between Mike's and Modern (original w/ chocolate chips), very very close tie but we liked Mike's just a little bit more! Modern has this beautiful hint of citrus/floral, but Mike's seemed the be the OG cannoli taste we love. You can't go wrong with either though, both are great treat!!!
Caprisun Apple
Famous cannoli place. Many people so the line is huge. Cash only.
✅ Crispy fried dough is decent
❌ Chocolate cream is too sweet (and maybe too many in amount that I can’t finish)
❌ Didn’t wrap the rope well and the box fell apart
Not like chocolate cream but will try other flavor in the future.
Camiah Mingorance
Excellent pastries, but the Boston Creme Puff was hands down the best. The canoli was delicious but REALLY sweet as was the eclair. My son said the apple turnover was like Christmas. The service was fast and helpful, BUT a huge line to get yo the counter so don't expect to be in and out. They only accept CASH payment, no cards. Everything is about $5, but HUGE servings!
Daniel Lee
The cannolis used to cost $3.5 here but it now costs $5. They still taste very good but the staffs were rude and inattentive. FYI, this store only accepts cash.
Vanessa Boland
Great, walkable location. Expect to wait in line - especially at night (after dinner)/on the weekend!
Because they’re always so busy, don’t expect friendly service, and be prepared to quickly look for what you want once you’re waiting within the building. Cash only!
Desserts were overrated. Quality was very average at best, and I did not like the Boston cream pie here. We got an assortment of desserts and nothing was great.
oscar shui
TBH, my son wanted to try a cannoli and what better place to go. Lines were not too bad and the weather was perfect for a December evening. Got 4 cannolis and a couple of rainbow cookies. Very interesting place but while the pastries were far from special. Go and get cannolis but keep your expectations on check. Cash only establishment.
Kelly Cambridgeport
Mike's Pastry in Boston is perhaps the most famous pastry shop in the area, which is helped by the business being on Hanover Street, the busiest street in the North End. Good cannolis, lobster tails, and cream puffs. Polite employees. Have your cash ready.
Claire Lewis
Delicious cannolis at $5 a piece! We tried the florentine (favorite) and the pecan caramel. Both were delicious and huge!
Marlene Liu
There was a bit of a line, but don't let this deter you because it moved fairly quickly. The cannolis were good, not amazing. This is a cash only establishment and the cannolis were $5 each. They were HUGE! The service wasn't as friendly as Modern Pastry, and I think Modern's cannolis were much better. It is good to try from both bakeries though, especially if you're visiting.
Cody Mullins
The carrot cake will make your tongue beat your brain out. It was really good. The tiramisu was decent, though a little soggy/warm.
Liliana Zilka
After five years and back in the area I needed to stop at Mike’s Pastry! Always great quality with their fresh cannolis. Sadly they don’t have anymore seating area ☹️ so be ready to enjoy your cannoli while waking…
Jacqueline Jackson
Kind of a Seinfeld soup kitchen experience ;)
Just stand in line (it moves quick enough) and get your cannoli. It will be worth it. They're rich and filling - you only need one. Be prepared - Cash only (tax incl.)
There's actually a extensive assortment of bakery treats but we came for the cannolis.
JJ Jones
Always a long line but definitely worth the wait. You can't visit Boston and not try one of these delicious desserts.
D Yogendra Rao
It’s ok. Bought into the hype and walked in to get some Cannolis. The plain one is ok. Too sweat for me. Too sweat. I liked the espresso one. Luckily the queue wasn’t that bad and service was quick. Probably not worth the calories.
Jyoti Daniel
The line outside the bakery was long, but do not let that deter you, the wait is well worth it.
Tom Beck
First time trying a cannoli and it was ‘okay’, a little dry for my liking. They’re $5, cash only, and we were served within seconds.
Diana Meka
Deliciousness from Boston to NYC my son girlfriend Crystal went on a trip and decided to bring home some delicious goodies. Mikes Pastry was able to accommodate and Thank you for separating the filling and shells. Crystal ordered the Florentine Cannoli, chocolate chip cannoli, and Pistachio Cannoli. All I can say is it’s delicious and sweet. Thank you.
Philip Moses
Mike's Pastry makes fantastic Italian pastries
The portions are huge
The staff are friendly and helpful
I really enjoyed going here
There are no seats or tables so you have to take food away
It's difficult if you are a tourist and then have to eat your pastry in the street like an animal
Seats would make it better
And a cup of tea
But it's still 10/10
Ibrahim Al-Saidi
This is the best Cannoli I’ve ever eaten and I live in NYC. Their chocolate chip cannoli is the best and very rich. They only accept cash so be prepared. Was gonna give them 4 stars for that but the Cannoli is amazing. I had to drop the review and take the cannoli ! ;)
Kimberly Ambrosia Hsieh
Tourist trap? Maybe...but the Boston cream pie was absolutely amazing! I went back the next day to get another piece. The line was long but we only waited 10 minutes or so. Bring cash.
George Zakharia
These canolis are $5 each and larger than Modern Pastry. Caramel Pecan Canoli will not disappoint. Highly recommend!
Marion NYC
If you like Cannolis then look no further! They have so many flavors to choose from except Boston Cream pie! I wished they had that flavor. They have other dessert too but definitely go there for the cannolis! Line wasn’t bad there when I went at noon during the week. But I saw it started to get long! This is also right on the strip of restaurant so you might as well get some while in the area!

This place surely stands to all the hype it holds. They have one of the best cannolis in Boston with over variety of different flavors. Hazelnut is my favorite.Parking is next to impossible to find in this location. Better use public transport if planning to go here. Weekends will have hours of wait. Also most important it is CASH ONLY place.
Omri Stier
Overpriced and overhyped.
Allover Boston you can see people walking around holding white boxes on a string with the blue logo of "Mike's Pastry". Sure enough we had to know what all the buzz was about.
We arrived around 9AM and lucky for us the place was empty, two days beforehand the line circled the block!
The lady at the counter brought each of us the different Cannolis we asked for and put them neatly in the iconic white box. For five bucks a cannoli, we really hoped it's gonna be good.
We sat down at the nearby park and we each took a bite. The first few bites really were nice but by the half of it we just got tired.
The cannolis are too big and get a bit boring or bland at one point, I just didn't want to finish mine. I think they should have been slimmer (and maybe even cheeper). The crust was really good.

Cash only bakery with long lines wrapped around the block. Famous for their cannolis, cream-stuffed lobster tails, tiramisu among other baked goods. This take-out only pastry shop is quick and efficient at directing customers to the multiple lines staffed by friendly servers waiting to take your orders. The cannolis were huge and overflowing with creamy ricotta, the lobster tail had a crisp pastry again stuffed with yummy cream, the tiramisu was excellent and had the perfect flavor of coffee. Good deal at $5 for a huge piece of yumminess!

So we heard this place was awesome....it was. Easy to find and not much of a line when we were there around 1p. Claim to be the home of the Cannoli. I can't remember how many kind they have but the options are very prominently displayed on the wall. We of course got those and several different kinds of cakes and cookies. Walking through town with the boxes many people commented on how yummy.
Joe csapo
In boston for one day, on our way along the freedom trail we noticed multiple people with the iconic white and blue boxes tied up with string; So we decided to stop in on our way past, i knew i would be able to find a cannoli there b/c we were in the Italian part of town. Boy was i amazed, everything was fresh made hours before. Ended up getting a chocolate chip cannoli, eclair and vanilla cup cake. Hands down the best canoli ive ever had.
Cassandra Riker
The cannolis are incredible! It's no wonder they are famous for them. This is a cash only establishments. Take a second before you get in line to figure out what you want. This place is always busy and you don't want to be one of those people keeping the line from moving. The cannolis are pretty big and generously filled. Don't miss this place on your next trip to Boston! Once you get your goodies walk just a block to sit by the Paul Revere statue.
Dan Ferrara
20 different cannoli, filled to order! Each $5. We tried pistachio and chocolate ricotta, both elite! You have to stop here
asraf ramli
This place is like a snapshot of olden times, no cash and very traditional. Staff are efficient and use hanging strings to tie the cannoli boxes. They tasted awesome.
Queen Ariel Simone
Mikes pastry has always been my go to for cakes, their strawberry shortcake is to die for! I love the layers of strawberry and cream. It’s the perfect Birthday Treat. I worked with Maria and I loved her customer service! I will definitely being ordering soon❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ella Xu
This place gets ALL the hype. I’m serious; anyone and everyone in Boston will mention its name from the trolley tour guide (thanks Hercules) to a local friend. You can even see people roaming the streets with their “Mike’s Pastries” box. The store was packed, and there were no places to sit or dine. The workers were quick to serve one customer and be onto the next. I never knew what a cannoli was until that day, turns out it has a lot of ricotta making it extremely creamy. I also got an almond biscotti which was a bit too soft and had a strong pumpkin flavor.
Debbie Morrison
Line was long, but very fast. Go to the far left lane for the fastest service. These cannolis were so freaking good! Highly recommend!
Anne Warren
Holy cannoli!!!! This place was even better than the reviews! Impeccable pastries! Lobster roll was a bit much for us, but cannoli, red velvet cupcake and the BOSTON CREAM PIE!!!! Totally recommend the wait!
dumb
The cannolis here are absolutely god tier! My family loved this place so much we had to go back the next day😭 The lines move really fast …
Robert Brown
Our cannoli here better than Modern Pastry by a scale of 10. We had one at each place right after another!!
Arya Phatak
There was an extremely long line to get inside this store and I didn't quite understand what all the fuss was about. We had their Boston cream pie and chocolate chip cheesecake. Both were extremely sweet for once and they were like the ones you would eat at any other unpopular store. I didn't find them extraordinary. Infact they were so sweet that I couldn't eat more than few spoonfuls at a time. They also need to improve on their decor and the cash only policy.
Rick K (Tex)
Wife loves the chocolate roll, Italian wedding cookies were pretty delicious, and if you like authentic cannolis, then you will like these. They are not super sweet as they are made with ricotta cheese, so just be aware. Service is good, not the friendliest, but they are pretty efficient. Overall good if you can stand the wait..
Alex Tritabaugh
Cash only, everything is currently $5.50 with tax, lines look long but move very fast!
Sarrah Marcotte
Yeah, its always packed, and yeah, its a super touristy spot, but it is cost efficient and delicious. You know what you're getting yourself into if you're trying to go there after a Celtics/Bruins game, and that's not the staff's fault. So be nice to them and have some patience if you're going at a busy time, play crazy 8s in line, or try to think of how many different species of tomatoes exist idk. Place is a staple Boston spot
Arwa Partapgharwala
Best Cannoli’s!! Worth the wait, and the line moves quickly. Definitely took me back to Italy. Slightly sweeter than what i remember eating in Italy but really really good regardless. I recommend sticking to the traditional flavors of pistachio and chocolate chip. I also got the nutella and liked the simple ones better but that’s my preference :)
Ashley Andrew RD
We saw the long line and figured this must be a place to try! The pastries were very delicious and the long line did go quickly (maybe 5-10min). But the service was rude and impatient. They expected you to know exactly what you wanted as soon as you got to the front despite not being able to see the menu or the options UNTIL you were at the front and even then people were standing in your way. I’m sure there are other places in Boston with equally good desserts that have better service. If you don’t care about service and are good at making snap decisions then feel free to check this place out!
Maryam Jetha
CASH ONLY.
We compared both Mikes and Modern, as we heard modern is the underdog. Our verdict is Mikes is better. The filling here was better, richer, creamier and tastier overall. However we feel the the shell was too sweet and and Modern had more of a crunch to it which we liked. It was a really good cannoli so if you're going to one come here.
Genna Arnell
This place was popular, the line was out the door. We had 6 kids in tow and managed to still get through the line and back out in good time. We were a little surprised that they are CASH ONLY so someone has to run to an ATM so be prepared for that. The goodies were all excellent! The cables were devoured quickly!
lfmars98
Good Boston Cream Pie! It cost $5.50. Cash only, no credit card or payment apps!
Richard Nelson
Solid boston creme pie. Good cannolis also. Overall would return.
Judy Payne
Oh my goodness. They deserve a 10 star!!!
Cash only. I am from Philly and this was the best cannoli I have ever had. Prices $3.50 to ,$5.00. We had the oreo and chocolate covered cannolis. Chocolate chip cheesecake and tirmasu. You have to come here when you visit Boston.
Stephanie Notley
Their cannolis are amazing! Love the Florentine cannoli shells, they're so difficult to find. You can't really go wrong with any of the cannolis but we especially love the Florentines. They're sweeter than some of the other cannolis because of their shell but that's what makes them great.
More importantly, if you want to transport or save these cannolis for a slightly later date, Mike's Pastry is willing to give you deconstructed cannolis. I was recommended to refrigerate them if possible but they were ok at room temp in 75 degree humidity for a 5 hour trip. The made the trip and still tasted amazing!
Farid Rahme
A really busy shop famous for their canolies, must visit when in Boston!
Joon
Cannoli is very large in size, but its taste vary quite a lot by different flavors. I bought total of 4, and 2 tasted delicious while the other two just tasted blend (even though I bought flavored ones). The shell was very nice. Also, the lady, not wearing a blue uniform, who helped us was extremely rude (speaking with attitude, rolling her eyes for asking for receipt, etc.). Overall, it maybe worth a visit if you are nearby but not worth going out of your way to try this cannoli.
Peak Potential
We ventured to the North End to experience the Italian scene after visiting the Paul Revere House. The word on the street was that Mike's Pastry has the best cannoli's around. I had to experience this for myself. The line was out the door but it moved really quickly. The selection of treats whether they were cakes, cannoli's, cream puffs, or cookies was amazing. Everything was fresh and was presented well. Just remember to bring cash.. no credit accepted. Worth every penny spent!
Daniel Lopez
Extremely delicious bakery! We loved this place so much we wish we had one of these back in Chicago! My personal favorite had to be the Whoopie Pie, Boston Cream Puff, or the Chocolate Mocha! I literally can’t decide which I loved more. They were all good! This is a definite place to go to if you’re ever in Boston!
Krizia
Really great cannolis, if you have a sweet tooth this is a must stop in boston! The lobster tails were really interesting and tasty and not too sweet! We had the chocolate-covered cannoli and the amaretto as well and they were excellent. HOWEVER THE CREME BRULEE WAS AWFUL. EVEN THE MARASCHINO CHERRY WAS DRY! IT WAS AS IF IT WAS HANGING OUT IN THE FRIDGE FOR A WEEK. STAY CLEAR OF IT. This was a clear 5/5 until I had the creme brulee which I'm honestly surprised that you could call what I ordered even a creme brulee. There was a line there but it was worth it for the cannolis and lobster tail and it went by much faster than I thought. Maybe around 15 minutes in line tops.
André Explorando o mundo (Andreams)
After eat a pizza you need a Cannoli and this place never disappoint, I did go in this place at 4 years ago, and was wishing the was open! When I discover the was make me very happy! Delicious desert! I love the Italian weeding and the Macaroons.
Deborah East
We were visiting and wanted to try cannolis because that’s what you do when in Boston-right. I’ve never been a big cannoli fan but these changed my mind. Modern and Mikes were the two we heard about the most, so we tried both. We felt that both were VERY good. We got the plain ricotta version from both. They were both so close in flavor and hard to tell a big difference. I thought that the shell was slightly better at Moderns and the ricotta cream was slightly better at Mike’s. My daughter thought that Modern’s was better tasting overall Basically, you can’t go wrong with either.
Jerica Bird
Cookies (almond ones especially) are great, but the Whoopie pie, eclair, and tiramisu were horrible.
Eric Lazarian
I don't give a lot of 5 stars, and if push came to shove, I may have to top out at 4.5 merely because I would like more cannoli's per dollar spent, but that's not usually an issue for folks on a night out.
While my last visit was quite some time ago, I have always given Mike's high marks. If you want authentic Italian cannoli's then this is one of the best places in the North End to go. Yes, there are other options out there nowadays, and if you don't like "popular" places, then you might not want to go here on a Friday or Saturday night on nice weather days. Hanging out in the North End is best done on foot, and you'll quickly see and become aware of the draw of the place.
There is a fine variety of bakery choices, and once you dinner is done and you have had your Espresso, you should really check out Mike's. It's almost too obvious a place to recommend, and if you are only going to be in the North End as a quick tourist or visitor, they are worth checking out. I suggest getting a few of their cannoli's in a variety of versions (I lost count at 10) and go from there. Not for the diet crowd! But they are fresh and fabulous.
Karolos Arapakis
Nice place, but not sure if its worth waiting in the queue.
Shelby Berry
BEST CANNOLIS OF MY LIFE! My husband & I visited Mike's Pastry for breakfast on a recent visit to the city, and we LOVED it! My husband is a huge cannoli fan & couldn't stop raving about how amazing they were. We wouldn't hesitate to visit again on our next visit to Boston!
Giselle Ciorciari
+ Excellent cannoli!
- Long lines
- Cash only
Jared Rich
Somehow lived up to the hype. Our cashier recommended the Florentine cannoli, and they were absolutely correct. Lines may be a little long, but it was worth the wait.
Jill Thompson
I have had cannolis all over the world and by far Mike's Pastry's are the best! The cream filling is not too sweet and the shell is perfectly crunchy and melts in your mouth as well 😋😋😋😋😋 …
Timothy Low
Well worth the wait. Ricotta cannoli was insanely good. Highly recommended.
Cooper Caron
Good food but high prices. The cookies are dry and the frosting for the woopie pies is garbage . The only reasons it has 5 stars is because it’s a Boston staple and a “must eat “ place .
It’s overrated and a cookie cost 4 bucks . The line does move fast like a fox in a chicken coop but what’s the point of the line moving fast if it takes you to mediocre pastries
Reza
The cannoli is absolutely fantastic. The other stuff they have are also very good bit I'd prefer Modern pastry just a few steps down the road. Also, be aware for some reason they only take cash (hence the 4 star)
Amy Quinn
I purchased 2 dessert items here. One of course was a cannoli & the 2nd was a cheesecake. The cannoli was very good. Pastry was crispy and light. I think it was a bit too overstuffed with the cream but it was yummy. I haven't tried the cheesecake yet. It was difficult to choose a 2nd dessert because the display glass was full of condensation. When I asked the first staff person what a particular dessert was she informed me that the name of it was shown in the display. Then she said it's an Italian pastry with cream. The second staffer was more helpful when I asked about her recommendation for chocolate desserts. It's is a very bare bones lobby area, no indoor seating.
Lexie Hilton
Amazing fresh cannolis! We've had cannolis in town before and they were really good but I would say this place beats it due to the price ($5) and how fresh it tasted. We tried pistachio ones. Highly recommend. Line to order is a bit long and dont expect friendly staff but i'd go to make a quick pickup again. Cash only
Frank M
Very tasty. But $5.50 each cannoli, and empty space inside. Cash only accepted. Several lines. Next time I will try someplace else we're I sure sit and have a coffee with the connoli.
D C
Delicious Italian pastries in a beautiful location. Love it.
Jinsu Ha
Had both Modern and Mike's but gonna have to give it to Mike's! Way bigger and the cream inside was just soo good. Modern does have the better outer breading but overall enjoyed Mike's better
Charles J
Worth the wait in line!! Incredible cannolis and other assortment of desserts. Service was quick and friendly. A must go if you’re around exploring on foot!
TJJ
Very good cannoli where the locals know cannoli. This place has a line out the door most of the time and it moves fast. They have a huge selection. There is no seating inside, just long lines. Our service was curt, but when you stand on your feet taking orders all day, I'd be curt too. You don't go for the service, you go for the cannoli. So how is it? I've tried cannoli many times and never liked it. I tried it in Sicily and I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. Mike's is the closest to Silciy I've ever come. They are good.
Frank Daniels
One of the best pastry places on the eastern seaboard. The lines are a bit chaotic and you better know what you want by the time you get to the cou ter or the staff and other patrons get a little testy. Beat canolis I've ever had though. Highly recommended.
Tiffany N. Arango
We ordered Mike's on Uber Eats on two different nights during our vacation. My husband loved all the different cannolis he got, and I had a yummy cupcake.
The long line here appears to be hit or miss, but Uber Eats worked perfectly; we stayed at a hotel so my husband met the driver outside.
Elizabeth Dawes
Cool experience, cannolis were ok.
Ada Brown
If you go you have to get a cannoli, it was beyond delicious. I can also recommend the boston cream pie. That said, I would avoid the tiramisu. I wish they had one of these close to my home it is that good. I highly recommend!
Michelle K
The best cannoli I've ever had. We made two trips here because I kept thinking I needed another camnoli. LOL. This place needs a place in Chicago...but then again that couldn't be dangerous for my waistline. A must stop when in Boston!!
Emily B
When in Boston, stop here for a delicious cannoli or marzipan fruit. I know it's a tourist trap and there are certainly better bakeries but it just feels right to sit at Mike's with a cappuccino and lobster tail.
Ken Wong
Boston essentials - cannolis! Crazy queue but absolutely worthwhile.
Bella Do
The best cannoli in town but I'm not sure about the cheesecake.
Vahe Yacoubian
Mikes has inexpensive italian pastry that tastes great. If you have never tried a cannoli (like me), Mikes will set the bar high and would be an awesome first experience. There is a plethora of other desserts and pastries to get, but I have to say that pizza - cannoli combo ranks pretty high.
Cannoli 5/5 - absolutely delicious. Although I have no baseline to compare it with
Atmosphere 5/5 - chill area that can get very busy and congested fast.
Umair Ahmad
Florentine cannoli was the best..Napoleon had a wierd after taste.
Adriana Perez
There was a line outside the shop but service was quick even though the staff wasn't overly nice. The cannolis were really good and definitely worth a try but I always doubt business that take cash only; not only is it incredibly inconvenient in modern times, but it also makes me think they aren't really straight with the money and their taxes. That's the reason I'm giving this business a 4-star review, also, it's take-out only.
Shreya
Super long wait in line usually but the cannolis are great. It's nice that you can customize what cannoli you want, and they have tons of other desserts too. Modern is nearby, if you don't want to wait in a super long line though then Bovas normally is shorter.
Linsey Koda
Be prepared to stand in line that may not be socially distanced, but full of masks. We go to Mike’s every time in Boston and have never been disappointed. The chocolate mousse cake is where it’s at! In heaven with every bite. Was not as thrilled with my child’s chocolate peanut butter brownie. Good flavor, but a little thick for my liking .
Annop Lins
Long queue but fast service, chocolate ones better than the original ones.
Anthony Garcia
Some of my favorite Cannoli's! Great Service and they are normally packed. I will definitely be back the next time i am in Boston.
Guneet Chadha
Great atmosphere and their pastries & cupcakes are delicious but not sure if its worth the hype. The lines can be long but they have a great selection of pastries and cakes.
I ordered the Red Velvet cupcake it was delicious. I'd also recommend to stroll around the North End (Italian) neighborhood of Boston and to check out Paul Revere's statue and his house which is walking distance from Mike's Pastry.
Goher Munir
So yeah, who is in boston and you dont take mike pastry how is it possible so i tried their cheesecake cannoli macaroons all were super good. And freshly made and taste got double with coffee. Bakery is popular since ages. Its a must try place especially for cannoli.
Darion Denniston
I’ve experienced a lot of high prices with mediocre quality while in Boston, but this is not one of those places. Very high quality for a very reasonable (if not low) price. We randomly happened upon it and bought two cakes. We went back two days later for four more treats. Delicious!
Alexander Jake Moreno
A Boston culinary institution. The original-flavored cannoli is to die for. The ricotta cheese is sublime! My wife and I also tried the lobster tail pastry which is much like a cream puff (texture and flavor component-wise). It was nearly 2 lbs of pastry and was a bit much. Do not attempt to eat it for dessert with just 2 people! I’d say its a shareable pastry for 4.
Do not skip this place! Get a few flavors to take home!
Tom McManus
Excellent Italian pastries made with great flavor and balance. They are definitely the king of lobster tails in Boston.
Jane K.
The pastries here are HUGE! I got one cannoli and split it for a snack. The service here is excellent as well, and the gentleman who helped me seemed very experienced. Prepared for a long line, as this is a popular North End spot!
Tahny D
Holy Cannoli, how had I never heard of this place? The cannolis were out of this world. The selection of flavors was slightly overwhelming but we decided on some. I highly recommend the Nutella cannoli. This location was super busy, but they know how to run it well as they had plenty of people working. Don’t be intimidated by the line, it’s totally worth it!
Miguel Alvarado
Pastry was good. Service was poor. The lady rushed me to tell her what I wanted, giving attitude. She proceeded to give me two of the wrong pastries because she was rushing me out.
Jennifer Davila
These cannolis are the best I’ve ever had! Whenever I’m in the Boston area I make sure to stop by, however they recently raised the price to $5.50/cannoli
Joceline Lopez
We ordered a Boston cream donut and a mousse flavored cannoli- it came out to $9 for both. Both were delicious and tasted fresb! When you arrive you will wait in line until someone behind the counter calls you to take your order. We will definitely be returning again.
Bernardo Suárez
If you want to have the best pastries in town, do yourself a favor and visit this place. Everything looked so delicious that it was hard to choose from, I eventually settled for the lobster tail and my wife had the boston cream puff, and oh my god! Definitely would be recommending this place to everyone, and would most definitely visit again the next time we are in town.
David Thomas
Hands down the best cannolis I've ever had. 🔥🔥🔥 Cash only place but there's an ATM directly across from the shop. Totally worth it! …
Heba
Delicious cannolis!! We got a few Nutella, chocolate chip, and a few ricotta and my favorite is the plain ricotta while my daughter insisted that the Nutella were better. Made fresh to order. $5 each. And they ship!
I love the area around it. It feels like Little Italy. Will go back again.
Francisco Alcaraz
Some of the best pastries I have ever tasted in my life! I got the chocolate chip canoli and it was sweet, smooth, and a delight to eat. The staff was friendly and worked fast, understandable since they always have customers going in to get something. The process was really fast, just tell them what you want and they wrap it in a box and tie it up for you to take home or enjoy on the spot. A must stop when in Boston.
Prathiksha Mohan
Loved the cannollis - must try. This place is usually very crowded. Nice ambience and has place to sit and relish the pastries. They have a good variety of options ( you can refer to the photos posted) Highly recommend you visit this place when you are in Boston !
Maryam Nassiri
Delicious and well stuffed with ricotta. We tried the pistachio (always pistachio) and lemon canoli. Busy spot but fast service. The down is the place, not enough space to sit and enjoy. If a nice day, grab the box, get a coffee and enjoy elsewhere.
Demetri Karoutsos
Line was out to street at 8:30PM on a Saturday but it only took 15-20 minutes to get to the counter. If you love cannolis well that’s Mike’s signature dessert with lots of options, we ordered the expresso, moose, pistachio and chocolate chip and all were good, but the expresso and moose were truly scrumptious. Pricing is super reasonable with most pastries under $5 but please bring cash as they do not accept credit cards. The staff is friendly and very good at serving you fast. Plenty of coffee and dinner options in this neighborhood. Godere 💙🇮🇹

From the outside looking in Mike's Pastry sells so many pastries to so many people, foreigners and family alike, that this establishment might as well call themselves "Mike's Ricotta filled Pastry". Assuming you approach this store anytime during now and the end of time and you will find the army of the sugar-starved sweet tooth's waiting in a crowd all slowly stepping forward hoping to reach the register. The crowd while annoying, a bit unruly and extremely chaotic, has an extreme silver lining. You have enough time to decide what flavor cannoli you want.
Mike's Pastry sells many different flavors of cannoli. To my surprise, they not only have they been able to create such amazing flavors but they make them huge. The cannoli is very large even heavy and satisfying to eat.
RRR
+ Great desserts
+ Reasonably priced
- Long lines
- Staff can be rude sometimes
- Cash only
Mike
Looking for an authentic pastry shop? Look no further than Mike’s! We enjoyed the classic, limoncello, and espresso cannolis. If you’re looking for something different they probably have that too. Swing in and enjoy yourself. Don’t forget to take a few home. (Cash only FYI)
Kartik Bharadwaj
The famous Mike’s pastry outlet right off of the Assembly T station in Somerville. Popular for its cannolis, this place is definitely worth visiting for the various pastries and desserts on offer. They serve wonderful coffee too. I’d recommend heading here once you are done with shopping at Assembly Row.
Drew Looyenga
The age old question: who has the better cannoli? Mike's or Modern? In my opinion, Mike's has it hands down. The cannolis here are really something special. You can't go wrong with the standard plain cannoli, but I recommend the peanut butter.
The lines are organized chaos, so be prepared with cash (it's a cash only place). Get your order straight while you're in line, and keep moving and everything will be fine.
Premnath Ananthan
These pastries are God sent! Too good. You have got to try it. Parking is very hard to find, plan ahead. Also the line will be long but they move very fast.
Alison Kan
Great place for cannolis! Usually on the weekends, the line is out the door, but it moves much faster on the weekdays and is well worth the wait. The cannoli cream is super rich and not too sweet, and the toppings like pistachios or chocolate chips add more texture and flavor. It's always super crowded and there's very few tables, so be prepared to have to take your cannoli to go. They also have other pastries and gelato to try. (CASH ONLY)
Matt McInerney
Home of amazing desserts of all kinds. Always worth the wait and is a must for anyone visiting the area. If you like cream puffs be all means try the Lobster Tail. The largest pastry there and fits in a box similar to that of a small shoe box.
Kaitlin Tran
This place is EPIC. I tried 2 cannolis (Florentine and Oreo) the first time and they were the highlight of my day. My favorite flavor so far is Florentine, but Amaretto was a close second. I will definitely be returning to Mike's any time I'm in Boston. I'll probably be back tomorrow honestly! Shoutout to Reagan for the recommendation; anybody who recommends this place to you is a true friend.
Biswanath Roy
Loving it, Amazingly delicious pastries. Mike’s Pastry is renowned italian bake shop, you will get a lot of variety of cannoli with diffrent type of flavours, pastries in a reasonable price. Only thing you have to carry cash because they only take cash. Located in a very prime location in Boston. All staffs are very efficient and expert so no need to wait a long in queue. Me and my family used to go there very often and every time we get fresh & toothsome pastries.
Talha Faruqui
This place is known for its cannolis which are really good. We had 3 different cannolis and all tasted amazing.
I also got an Oreo cheesecake but that was not a cheesecake. The base is made of chocolate cake and the “cheesecake” portion was just okay, nothing special.
As mentioned before, it’s known for its cannolis and just get that from there. The other stuff looks appealing, but it’s not that great. Didn’t see too many people getting anything but the cannolis.
Staff is friendly and the place is packed. They have multiple lines inside which help with the crowd and lines go fast. Come early to get a shorter line. We went there Saturday and Sunday but before 5pm.
Joy
I was looking forward to some cream-filled, flaky pastries, and expected to satisfy my sweet tooth here. I didn't know what to expect, but to be honest the result did fall short of any expectations.
I was glad that there was no line. It was a Thursday morning, at 9:40am. In fact, it was pretty empty inside too. It was hard to see some of the products, since some of the display cases were foggy with condensation, but that was okay since I knew I only wanted a couple of things.
$7 Chocolate Chip Cannoli:
Pricey, but I thought maybe it'd be worth it for such a large cannoli. The first few bites were pretty good, but it's a little sweet.
$8.50 Lobster Tail:
I really wanted to like it. It looks so tasty, with its sheer size, and seemingly crisp layers. However it was so stale and hard, I couldn't even bite through it. I had to pick off the hard outer layers, but that just left the soggy inner layers and a whole lot of cream.
We couldn't finish either of them on account of them being too large, too stale, and too sweet. I thought perhaps it was just a fluke that day. Perhaps their fresh baked goods come out in the evening time. Later that day, we saw a long line form in the evening, so I thought maybe the newly baked items come out at night. Either way, I thought the pastries we tried were just okay, definitely not great. I'm also not eager to come back and find out what their baked goods taste like fresh, because the service could have been friendlier.
Guy Albertson
I was told to come and get the lobster tail. Omg! It was enormous, I passed and went for the smaller version—-it was phenomenal. The only problem is now I will need to walk 20000 steps to burn it off 😀.
Highly recommend!
Kaitlin Altieri
Mike’s is always a hit when we visit the North end in Aniston. Everything is so fresh, but we go for the Cannoli. It is cash only, so be ready! The cannoli are huge and delicious. There is only street parking, and the area tends to be very busy. Would recommended parking a few streets over and walking. The line usually is outside but moves quickly, so plan your attire carefully, especially if it is winter time! Mike’s is just a short walk from the Garden, so you could make it over there before or after your game/event! Highly recommend taking the trip over when you’re in Boston!
Magnum Pi
My go to place when in the North end of Boston! (Mike's Pastry) Hanover St. I had to get a couple of delicious 😋 cannoli's, zeppole, and other assorted Italian pastries! the service is great! must have 10 girl's waiting to take your order.the prices are right in line with the bakeries in Boston! this place is clean 👌 for the traffic it gets.parking can be tough, don't be afraid to Walk, I was lucky today I got to park on Hanover St. How's that!! Go enjoy the finest Italian pastries in the N.End of Boston!🤣😋😋

Wow - super impressive. Located within the Northend - this pastry shop makes incredible Cannolis. We went with the pistachio topping! Definitely worth a trip!
Troy Ferrell
Absolutely delicious and huge cannoli to boot! Lots of flavors and so many other kinds of desserts as well. It’s very hectic as it’s a free form line to the front to have one of the employees help you. Not uncommon for a line to form with the people in front not sure where to go and the others just waiting behind ignorant
Sonia
Very busy on the weekends…huge lines all the way outside the shop but definitely a must do on a trip to Boston! Delicious sweet treats and pastries!! CASH ONLY
Irene R
Lived in Boston on and off for over 50 years. We have had hundreds of rum cakes from Mike's pastry shop, as I come from a family of 7 kids, whose favorite is...you guessed it, rum cake. Last time, a couple years ago we got a rum cake, and unfortunately it disappointed. The custard was not good, especially the chocolate. Being in the North End, parking is so difficult, normally I would have brought it back to let them know, and gotten something else. But I just let it go, until the next time we go. I called and ordered a rum cake for my brother's birthday a couple days in advance, told the lady Maria what happened last time, and she told me she would make it for me the next morning ( I was picking up in evening after work) and made sure everything was delicious and fresh. It did not disappoint. The rum cake was exceptional!! Just like I remembered it as a kid. Even better, if you ask me. Thank you Maria for giving me the best tasting rum cake. My whole family enjoyed it.
P. S. I'm having a piece right now with my morning coffee...don't tell my family 🤭. So yum!

Pretty good~ size is huge. Specially lobster tail. If you dont want to have any food other then lobster tail. Then go for it~! Its really big and fill with tastey cream!! Canoil cream is thick too love it!
Darren
Humongous, fresh, sinfully good cannolis. Very good quality. I had just one pecan caramel cannoli which was enough to keep me full the entire afternoon. Popular amongst both locals and tourists alike. Efficient service but limited seating available. Recommended!
Clara Wong
The cannolis are light, fluffy, and nothing short of amazing. The shop is always heralded as a Boston staple and as such is always busy. However, there isn't much seating in the shop and the ladies behind the counter lack a bit of friendliness.
Gerard Visser
Cannoli's were absolutely amazing. The Boston cream pie was okay and the Boston cream donut was ehh. Cash only, go prepared.
Julie Garrett
Huge selection of cannolis and other baked treats. Scrumptious! Line out the door, but it moves fast. Oh so worth it! Best cannolis I've ever had.
John Guma
If you like cannoli's these are about the best on the planet. I've been to Italy and those are good too but these are a lot closer. There is an unbelievable selection of cakes and pastries as well. It's a must dessert stop.
john besada
Probably the best option for canolis in Boston. The only issue, as many other reviewers already stated, the staff are very rude. I'm from Miami, FL... Which is 10x busier than Boston, and service down here is 100x more friendly than these people. Either way, if you're in Boston, you have to try a canoli. Other places to go are Modern Pastry or Bova's.
Jason
Mike's taught me one thing - Apparently I've never had a good cannoli before!
Absolutely devine.
Take it down the road and sit out the front of the Paul Revere House on a nice outdoor seating area.
Alberto San segundo
Amazing cannoli
Make sure you have a bottle of water after eating one of this. Your mouth would be dry
Peter Gore
It's a destination in the North End of Boston. Located on Hanover street, it's hard to miss, as the line to get on often stretches a half a block, or more. But it moves fast the staff is experienced and efficient. Be warned - cash only so visit your ATM before wasting your time in line. All that said, you won't be sorry. The cannolis are amazing with a huge selection. And they're are a ton of other bakery and pastry selections to choose from. Again, more of a destination in downtown Boston. Don't miss out.
Brandon Machiela
From someone who usually does not like cannolis, these are amazing! Not too overwhelming with sweetness, with just the right amount of crisp. When biting into the cannoli, it had the structural integrity where it didn’t just fall apart.
The line was around the block, but the service was quick where we did not have to wait too long, maybe 15 minutes max. It was well worth the wait. A must visit for anyone on vacation.
Lara Bryant
We aren’t really into cannoli but we liked these. I tried the amaretto and it was a very nice flavor with a good crust and the cream was not overwhelming. There were a lot of different pastries like cupcakes and brownies that looked delicious and we didn’t get to try. We were there in the afternoon on a weekday and there was a line but we waited less than 10 minutes. Delicious! I would come back.
Tyler Ashworth
I was not going to leave a review since everyone has so perfectly bragged on the incredible canolis at Mike's. They are my favorite canolis I've found in the US...
But I wanted to give you sugar-lovers a heads up that Mike's cupcakes are THE BOMB. I decided to grab a carrot cupcake and it quickly rose to the top of the list for cupcakes. Killer icing and moist moist moist cake 👌 give 'em a try if you value your taste buds' feelings.
Wren Lee
If you're here for baked goods, make sure to factor in the crowds! I went during the late afternoon on a Sunday, and it was packed!! Tip: Go to the leftmost counter. They have fewer people!
I got a lemon cannoli but didn't eat it right after I got it. Still, it was crispy hours later. The cream was lightly lemon-y and not too thick. Yum!
I wanted to get a Boston cream pie, but they ran out, so factor that in to when you arrive.
Lightning McQueen
I knew this place would be fantastic when I saw almost everyone around it holding Mike's Pastry boxes, and it was cemented when I walked in. There is an instant aroma of fantastic baked goods, as well as a massive variety. The food itself is easily the best I've ever had, and the prices are very low for what you get. While I was there, I did not see a single item that cost more that $5, while I would've paid dozens for the taste I got.
Sid & Nidhi Bansal
I am not sure why people would rate this place anything lower than 5. This iconic cannoli pastry place has a line always and offers a variety of fresh pastries to go. I ordered the pistachio and the regular and had very quick service. One good thing to know it is CASH Only place. Make sure you navigate the lines as it moves really fast.
Serg Chernata
Nothing to say here that hasn't been said. Amazing pastries and the long lines late into the evening prove that.
Reshma R
Slightly over hyped. Cafe has a huge line of people waiting anytime you go. They take ONLY CASH. The cannoli was good. I liked the chocolate and strawberry the best.
April H
I was skeptical thinking this was just another hype tourist place, but was I ever wrong. The cannoli was so good and much bigger than I anticipated from the photos I saw online. Usually I won’t even eat the shell but the shell was one of my favorite parts. The real hidden gem at Mike’s was the black and white cookie. If you haven’t had one, get it from here. So good and fresh!
Dana El-Mughayyar
It’s okay! I mean I couldn’t eat the cannolis.. not my dessert but everything was nice and it’s a cool place to check as a reallyy old staple in Boston.
Benjamin Flamm
Cannolis speak for themselves - my service was very nice, but any restaurant that tries too hard to make customers feel special is probably trying to distract from the quality of food.
rashmi nimbalkar
Be ready to wait for 30 minutes to an hour in line. Loved the espresso cannoli and coffee blueberry pastry.
Demi Iskandar
I thought this would be a tourist trap but boy was I wrong! This is a true Italian joint, through and through. Try the Italian cheesecake. It was perfect! FYI this shop is cash only, so bring the bills! Great prices and tasty goods.
Christopher Regets
Grabbed a couple of cannoli's from here being heading out of town. Glad we did, very tasty.. lots of filling and the shell was delicious. Probably the best I've ever had.
Sil Medrano
All I can say is… DO IT!
Go there and get their cannolis, they all are super delicious. I think one cannoli can suit your cravings, but who am I to tell you how many you should get!!! I ended up getting 4 and a tiramisu!! Which was perfectly amazing!!
Take in mind that the line is quite long and it will take you like 15-20 mins to get these precious pastries!!
Tara Wilson
After seeing numerous people on the street carrying Mike's Pastry boxes, we walked quite a ways to see what it was all about. We purchased a chocolate chip canoli and it was delicious. The only thing that would've helped give a higher rating is if the women who waited on us had been friendlier. They seemed almost annoyed with the customers, as we didn't hear a friendly greeting or a thank you while we were there.
Elianna Phillips
Huge selection of cannolis but decided to stick with the classic ricotta. It was only 5 bucks and more than enough for one person. Super delicious and super filling!
Sara Wolcott
Great central location! We got there two minutes before closing and were hurried into the lobby. Had no idea they were cash only until we saw the small signs on the back of the store so be aware to bring some with you! They boxed up my order nicely and even made it on the plane back to Denver successfully.
Kara Kneeppel
My blueberry scone was to die for. The eclair was equally amazing. Totally worth the wait.
Daniel Sanchez
The undisputed home of the cannoli! Must have if you are visiting Hardvard or the general Boston area. Great service too.
Logan Stewart
Cannolis were amazing. Carrot cake and caramel pecan cheesecake were not. Stick with the cannoli and you won’t go wrong.
Donnamarie Reese
Holy Cannoli thus bakery is a must!
Known for its cannoli everything is delicious
These Cannolis are the one thing I wish I could bring home to share with my family
You must while in Boston spend time on Hanove Street “Little Italy 🇮🇹 “ and come into Mike’s Pastry for a unforgettable taste of Italy 🇮🇹
Julie Monast-Nadeau
Worth the wait. Big cannoli, very tasty and fun wide selection of flavors. We also tried a Boston Crème Puff but this was not really good. Stick to the cannoli.
LJ Johnson
Cannoli was good, and bigger than I expected! But the real star of the show was the German chocolate brownie! Still dreaming about it! Just a note, they only take cash!
Rosie McKamey
I went to Mike’s Pastry and I waited over 45 minutes for his famous Canoli. Honestly it was delicious 😋 and I would definitely eat it again but I don’t think it was worth the 45 minute wait and it was a little overhyped in my opinion. I love myself a good canoli but there were nothing things on the menu I tried and likes better. Their cakes are delicious 🤤
Melina Hopkins
This place IS all that jazz. The cannoli were superb, the tiramisu cup, strawberry cheesecake, red velvet cheesecake, all delicious. The lines were always long but moved quickly. This is a MUST when coming to Boston. The goods are also shipped nationwide via online sales.
Ana Camba
Best Ricotta Cannoli I have tried in my life! I was a little skeptical because the last time I tried a Cannoli I didn’t enjoy it, but this Cannolis were something else🤩
The place was not very spacious but that didn’t matter. The service is very quick and attentive. Do not get scare for the long lines of people ordering, it moves really fast.
I will definitely come again in my next visit to Boston to try different desserts!
Michael Figgs
I found the lobster roll to be disappointing, although the filling was fantastic, the exterior was very hard and the inside was soft and squishy. I was so hopeful but it just wasn't great. My wife had a chocolate cannoli which she enjoyed.
Rick Morelli
Finally tried the cannoli tonight. Was it large and yummy - definitely, was the best cannoli I ever tried, no! Do not get me wrong, it is a great cannoli, at least the espresso flavour that I had was, it is just not the best I have had. My kids and wife were impressed with third as well. The price is a bit large, but so is the cannoli. This place is very busy, and they also have a full range of cookies and cakes to choose from, if cannolis are not your thing.
Carl Biggie
The line is long but it goes by really fast. I got a peanut butter cannoli and a strawberry cheese cake. Everything thing there is a flat 5 dollars per pastry. I thought they were good but I’m not sure what’s all the rave for
Yarumi R
Cannolis are $5 but they are big, delicious and FRESH!!, well worth the $5. They have sooo much business that they are constantly bringing out fresh cannolis. The place was crowded inside with a line around the corner outside. Staff is fast so the wait time isn't too bad. Downside is that its CASH ONLY
Ashley B
Pretty good cannolis. The variety of flavors is nice. Make sure you bring cash and don't be surprised if the line is around the corner. It did move pretty quickly though.
Alexandra Bishop
Yep, as good as people say (for classic cannoli at least.) As of summer 2022, cannoli were $5 each but well stuffed.
Be ready to pay cash only.
Almond biscotti are orange and clove forward in flavor with An excellent chewy inside and crispy outside texture with lots of whole almonds.
Mikayla Flynn
Extremely great value for the price. So delicious! Everyone working was very friendly, too.
Sushi Sue
Absolute tourist trap. You can’t walk anywhere in the North End without seeing every other person clutching a blue and white box from this place. Cash-only, $5 a pop, 21 flavors to choose from for cannolis. Prepare for a line at all times of the day, though it does move relatively quickly. Service is efficient so they’re not very friendly, which is to be expected. Docking a star because although I expected the cannoli to be a little cold, I didn’t expect it to be outright frozen. It felt like it came straight out of a freezer. Kind of ruined the “fresh” experience.
Luanne Pettit
Delicious!!! Husband git the boston cream pie and said it was very good!! I was surprised see they actually had gluten free options. Tried the gluten free vanilla cupcake. Phenomenal!
Timothy Meeker
Biggest cannolis in the North End with a wild selection of shells and other pastries. You have to give the staff credit for their constant efficiency of service given the horrific crowds that descend on this storefront during peak hours. Locals, go early and you'll be in and out in 60 seconds - it doesn't get much better than that.
Rebecca Brinkman
Wow!!!!!! When you come to Boston looking for Boston Cream Pie....you come here! No excuses! Fast service and many delicious and reasonably priced sweets for all types of wants. Definitely a must do in this city!
Betsy Bawden
Amazing cannolis! There was a long line but it moved pretty fast, it took maybe 10 minutes. It's definitely worth the wait. Make sure to bring cash!
Cadu Ferreira
The place is amazing! The price is ok comparing other options about desert that you can find in Boston area.
For me, the most incredible is how the marketing about this place is good!
You can see line every time, but they have a lot of employers working and ins't a bad experience on the line. They use a box without a bag and the client leaves from there with this box for everyone to see the brand. If you buy 3 boxes for example, they use a transparent bag, other way to show the famous boxes.
Incredible! <3
Mike and Valerie Stephens
The best pastries anywhere with dozens of types of cannoli. If you want the Grand Pumba of all the choices go for the "lobster tail". Don't worry no lobsters are harmed in the production of this pastry. 😋 …
alex chandra
My favorite cannoli. Huge! ... and crusty on the shell. If hot outside (weather ) and after you buy you still go sightseeing, i recommend not to get cannoli for togo..... it will make “soggy” and the taste are not as good as when you bought it. Long lines (sometimes) , so most of the time you don’t have time to ask for recommendations Friendly service and located in Italy district
Jerry Kaufman
This North End (a.k.a, Boston's Little Italy) makes some of the best pastry's you'll find. Anywhere. Ever. In addition to being the size of your hand, the cannoli's are perfect - firm and crispy shells with perfectly creamy, sweet ricotta. The Boston Cream Puffs are the size of baseballs with a thick chocolate coating, delicate and soft pastry, and sweet custardy inside. It can be crowded but it's well-staffed with kind but no-nonsense if-you-don't-what-you-want-step-aside-for-someone-who-does staff. There's not a lot of seating, so if you show up while there's a crowd, you may have to stand or take it to go. Don't matter where you eat it though - you'll love it.
Michelle Lynn
This is a must when I visit Boston! Their cannolis are incredible (chocolate mousse is my favorite due to my allergy) and their Italian wedding cookies are the best I've ever had. I've had some of their other pastries and they were awesome as well. If you are visiting Boston you MUST stop here! Don't let the line deter you, it moves fast. I don't think I've ever waited more than 15 minutes even on a super busy summer day, but be ready when you reach the counter for other customers. 😊
erika5058
Absolutely delicious. The lines are long but it is worth the wait. I wish there were online pick up options without the additional fee.
Mark Cain
Their cannolis are out of this world! Even when shipping out of state. Fast delivery, arrives super cold. The biscotti is delicious. Highly recommend both
Allison Beecher
The pastries are great, but it's also a super well known tourist destination, so expect a long wait. The staff is incredibly efficient, so the lines moves quickly, but it's not uncommon for the line to be wrapped around the corner down the street.
They are cash only, and it can be difficult to even see what other pastries they offer, but you really cant go wrong. Also, the cannolis are monstrously huge.
Katlyn E
Lived up to (and beyond) the hype! I got the Nutella cannoli, and there aren't words for how amazing it was. Don't miss stopping by. We went on a Friday around 7, and we only had to wait maybe 5 minutes. Even if there's a long line though, it's worth the wait. They are efficient and will move through people quickly. Reasonably priced for the size and quality. Lots of flavors and other dessert options to choose from as well.
Heads up though, cash only. So be prepared.
April Jeffries
Visited from out of state and locals recommended Mike’s. The best baked goods and gelato I’ve ever had. Customer service was wonderful! Can’t wait to come back!!!
Katie Bak
We heard this place was the best and it did not disappoint! The worst part is you “cant’t” have one of EVERYTHING!! We opted for two different cannolis and they were fantastic. Great atmosphere and quick service. Certainly worth stopping in while you’re exploring the freedom trail.
Jacob Smithey
Love Mike’s Pastry. They have some of the best cannolis and pastries. I always come here when I’m up in Boston. Stuff is so good.
OuttaTownTony
CASH ONLY!!! Worth the wait in line. Unchanged since it opened, generous sized cannoli for a fair price. Try the espresso flavor. They also serve a New England authentic Whoopie Pie.
Noman Siddiqui
I tasted almost every flavor of cannolis, personally Chocolate Ricotta and hazelnut cannoli were the best among all.
Judy Leonard
Carrot cake the very best I ever had, and the cannolis are just fantastic!! People that don't give this bakery 5 stars just have NO taste walt and Judy from Lakeland fl
Miguel de la Rocha
Such a great Boston institution! Gotta make sure you get your cannoli when you are in town. Do bring cash! They don't do cards here.
Adam Dawson
The cannoli was good. However, it has nothing on Modern Pastry right down the street. I would recommend Modern Pastry if you have to choose one or the other.
Bonnie Lee
Fresh cannolis are the best! Wished the filling was a little smoother, thought it was a little too grainy for me. Tried the original, pistachio, hazelnut, and espresso. My favorite was the espresso.
Gourav Anvekar
Amazing Italian pastry place! We tried their famous cannoli and tiramisu. The lines are usually long. So have patience before you get the first bite of your favorite pastry 🍰 …
Alex Gonzalez
Highlights for Mike's are the wide selection of flavored cannoli and the crispy lobster tail pastries. Service can be a bit brusque. Cash only, and well worth the visit.
Ninella Keshesh
It's such a long line to get to a cannoli. Since you spent so much time in the line you can't buy just one so you get a box. I would recommend the pistachio one.
Ken Moulton Jr.
Delicious confections, downtown Boston feel, and great people. The staff there were very attentive, polite, and funny when the chance came to light to crack a joke. They had great recommendations and dealt with my touristy questions like a pro!
Kenneth W. Ponder
Great cannolis, but grumpy staff complaining to customers about the other staff not putting the cash in the register straight? Also unnecessarily cash only which is unfriendly to tourists.
Laura Neff
I mean this place is already pretty famous so it doesn’t need my help, but it’s definitely worth the hype! I dream about the chocolate covered lobster tail puffs!
Brian Stotelmeyer
In Boston's north end, you will see hordes of people carrying blue and white bags and boxes... These are from Mike's pastry's. This place will not disappoint. Stop by to try one. My cannoli was light, fluffy and not too sweet. Delicious. I cannot say enough.
Natalie Sulejman
Holy cannoli. Try the lemon! 😍 cash only! …
Nicholas Blemel
I came to Boston for an Easter weekend vacation, and the first day of my trip, I started to notice a lot of boxes from Mike's being carried by a lot of people. So I decided to check this place out for myself the next day. I could not believe my eyes. I saw all sorts of pastries and desserts. I'm not sure if I can name them all. But, what really took my breath away was that they served maybe 20-30 flavors of cannoli. I love Italian food, and cannoli is in my top ten list for food, so this place was special. I bought a cannoli naturally, and because I wanted the full Boston experience, I also bought a slice of Boston cream pie. Both, the cannoli and the cream pie were phenomenal. It's just a shame that I live in western new York. I would have come here more often if I lived in Boston.
Aaron T
Amazing cannoli. They are also gigantic...but that’s just my Australian point of view.
Could probably share one between two people! The ricotta one was excellent..crispy pastry...yum.
Laurie Stanley
Excellent cannoli (chocolate ricotta) and Boston cream pie. Everything looked delicious and all reasonably priced. We can’t wait to return!
Brianna Desrochers
When my Denver-based company planned an outing in Boston, I knew that Mike's was going to make the itinerary. The cannolis are the best around; the group loved them so much we even had them for breakfast! This is one spot you do not want to miss whenever you're in the city.
Carlo D'Alessio
Lines out the front door, great selection of Italian pastries and other goodies. Cannolis are great and lots of filling selections made to order. I don’t get to fancy and stick to ricotta filling. Worth the wait.
Maksim Krigmant
This place at first I thought was a joke with the line they had going around the block. But I had to try the pastry everybody was talking about them. After we waited 30 minutes on line we got 4 diffrent pastry holy dame now i know why there was a line for them. They tasted so fresh and creamy and sweet but not to sweet. We came home ate all of them and went back for more the next day. New favorite pastry place.
Rick Lambert
The lines were long but they moved very fast. And it's worth waiting.
Kathryn Price
Espresso chocolate chip cannoli is so good
Fat Kid-Diarys
Mikes take the number 1 spot in my book for cannolis on this street. Sorry modern, your not even close. The Florentine shell is a deff must when you come.
Sara Tinsley
If what you come for is the cannoli, you'll be happy. The pistachio cannoli was good - giant! The cookies, not so good. Remember it's cash only, but it's worth it.
Kal Mousa
Wow, great selection italian sweets, chocolate, and the famous of cannolis. So manny to choose from, definitely the chocolateship is a must.
Sue Laprise
Cash only! Totally worth it!!!!! These are huge so if you don’t want to walk around with a box of pastries all day buy at the end of your day or share with a friend
Latinas Real Talk About Life
Came to Boston for the first time and tried Mike's pastries and wow!!! So delicious!! I will come back! We tried the chocolate pastries..
Oscar Frohlich
Really fun experience and great cannolis.
Yao-Tai Huang
Great strawberry cheesecake and ricotta cheesecake. Allergy friendly, chef brought me the whole ingredient list to check. !!Cash only!!
Andrew D.
I have never liked cannolis but I thought Mike's were really good. I was pleasantly surprised by how patient they were with me considering the huge line and me having no idea what to get. I'm glad I decided to try them. I'll be back.
Anthony Steele
Fantastic. Helpful and was able 5o bring some back on the airplane to FL. They were really good sized and delicious.
Kristi George
We stood in line only because it seemed like something you had to do when in the area. About a 20 minute wait but the desserts were totally worth it! $4 for a huge slice of Boston cream pie and $4 for a cannoli! A must stop.
Don
CASH ONLY..the desert was great! Super packed
Al Noel Sansolis
Their cannoli doesn't beat Sicily but it's very good! The ricotta is comparable but I prefer the light, flaky, super-crispy shells of Sicilia.
The Lobstertail wins for creativity! In May of 2021 it's $7, cash only. It's meant to be shared. A hard crispy shell FILLED with white cream and a spoonful of the famous Boston creme. Crack that hard shell and use the shell to spoon that deliciousness.
Lynn Sophie
Great place to try the Sicillian style cannoli in Boston. There are many staff to help customers so even if the store seems crowded pastries are served quite fast.
Matt Houston
I didn't know I liked cannoli's until I had Mike's! Excellent pastries, amazing selection, and reasonable price. The staff weren't the friendliest, but that's the case for most places in Boston IMO. I'm from the South though, so my opinion is probably skewed! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Boston!
ee t
I had a regular canoli and vanilla cupcake with sprinkles. Both tasted good. But they didn't have any seats outside to sit down.
Morgan DiBacco
Mike's Pastry is a must while in Boston. I know their is a controversial opinion regarding which pasty place in the North End is better... i'll answer for you... IT'S MIKE'S 100%!!!
Ross Flieger-Allison
I tried both the chocolate chip and the chocolate ricotta (which also has chips) and they were honestly very similar but I think I liked the extra chocolatiness of the chocolate ricotta slightly better 👌🏼 Both were delicious though! …
Hassan Shapourian
The store is always very crowded. Cash only. We could not really see all their pastries (because of the crowd) to choose from. We tried their cannolis [which apparently they are known for] and honestly they were nothing special. Well, I am not a huge fan of cannolis though. They offer a large variety of cannoli flavors and this would make them different from other stores in the area...
We tried coffee, chocolate, and strawberry cannolis. We liked the coffee flavor most.
Cannolis are BIG.
Craig Shaw
Just what you'd hope for. Ladies are super friendly and witnessing their skills at wrapping the pastries up is worth the visit alone. Go at off peak time to avoid queues.
mk root
Good place, but no credit cards payment avaliable. So you must have cash to buy something
Chloe Alix
The Florentine was life changing. Wow!!
Gyumi Kim
reasonable price and great taste. cash only. so crowded but that's the reason you can see people holding a box of Mike's pastry everywhere in Boston. Worth it!
Judy Ellen Corcoran
OMG!! The pastries are fabulous and the atmospherime is authentic Italian. The cherry macaroons are heavenly!!
Claudia Marie
Nice pastry in little Italy with a great selection of cannoli they are known for. We liked it! Give it a try! Cash only!!
Daren Blomquist
Great place to stop and recharge while walking the Freedom Trail. No seating at the shop but plenty of places nearby to sit.Loved the chocolate creme canoli. Very sweet so good to have ice water on hand. And just keep in mind cash only.
Myha Le
Amazing desserts, but their cannoli are the best. My personal favorite is their Florentine (cannoli crust made of honey and crushed almonds). It's a cash only place where you should know what you want upon ordering. Long lines but they are efficient! Definitely a must!
Sherry Migliori
The box is THE BEST advertisement! We are in Boston on vacation and saw people carrying ‘the box’ so we googled it. We found one of your stores while on the Freedom Trail then another while touring Harvard! Caramel pecan cannoli…YUMMY STUFF!! Can you please come to Minnesota?!
Daniel Duran
I highly recommend visiting Mike’s Pastry! It was a long line to order but it was definitely worth the wait! Some of the best pastries I’ve had!
luca babici
Italian-Canadian visiting from Toronto and I can safely say these cannoli do not disappoint, in fact these are some of the best cannoli I've had in North America. Couple of things you need to know about this place; 1) it will likely be jam packed when you get there, so plan ahead on what you want to try and be prepared when it is your turn, 2) although the workers may seem abrupt or in a rush with you, try to appreciate how many people are coming through here each day 3) this is a cash only place, again come prepared! 4) not much room inside to relax and eat so you will have to take these delicious cannoli elsewhere. Overall, the experience was exactly what I expected and the cannoli where delicious. I recommend trying the plain ricotta and the espresso. Yes the cannoli are on the more expensive side at $4.50 each but they are massive and worth it. Only thing that could have made the experience even better would be an espresso to go with the cannoli lol. If you are on the Freedom Trail for the day, it is just before Paul Revere's house, or you visiting Boston for a few days, I would recommend checking this place out!!
Charles Gardella
The pastries have quite the assortment level that will more than satisfy your bakery interests. The prices can get up there, depending on what you choose to purchase. Be mindful of ordering full cakes, make sure it's what you really want, as the price will be evident. The main issue at this fine establishment is the major lack of friendliness in the staff! They all seem particularly bothered that they need to wait on customers! Can you say attitude adjustment? Come on people , this is retail! Get with the program ! Please!
John C
Not sure what all the hype is about this place. The place was ridiculously packed. We got one pistachio and one pecan caramel cannoli. They were okay. Checked it off the to do list at least.
SWAGGYSOLEZ TV
Love the cannolis! Regular and pistachios are my favorite ones. Their strawberry cheesecake was good.
Gabriella
Incredible cannoli, comparable to those in Italy. Long line, but they move it very quickly.
Michael Ciurea
So I lived in Italy for a year and visited Sicily in search of the best cannolo, and this comes super close to what I had over there!! Really great pastries, and a must try when in Boston.
Jason Rehor
Mike’s Pastry is a must visit if you are coming to Boston. The cannoli was the best one I’ve ever had. I had no wait and the staff were friendly.
Danielle Bass
Amazing amazing cannoli!! I got one of the non traditional ones which was the Oreo cannoli and it was so good wish I got a big box to take back home! If you are in Boston you gotta go here.
Henry You
good bakery along the Freedom Trail. they have many cannolis with different toppings. Boston Cream pie is fluffy and sweet

OMG! Best cannolis ever! The cannolis are MASSIVE! They are a sugar overload if you try to eat the whole thing in one sitting! My only issue with this place is the large variety of flavors.
There isn't anywhere to sit in and eat, but the line DOES get long. We didn't have to wait too long in the afternoon on a weekday, but the line was still out the door that day! I just wish I could of bought some to take home but they would have spoiled on the drive.

This was just magical! Totally worth the line;)

Place was packed. Everybody was getting some kind of pastries so it must be good. I just did not have the patience to stand in line.
Patrick Yaghmour
We stopped here because we saw a bunch of people carrying their boxes when we were exploring downtown Boston. When we got there the line stretched out of the store but it moved quickly. They have a great selection from Boston cream pies to cannoli. Needless to say we definitely tried too many things and they were all delicious.
Susie Su
Got the chocolate ricotta and the pistachio, they are so good. Definitely will come back and try more flavors!
Josh Zignego
I have never seen so many options for cannoli flavors. We got the almond and the espresso. They were pretty good.
Good Nuzz
Needless to say my wife and I went here twice in 2 days. Got enough pastries where I wasn’t very hungry the rest of the day because it was hard not to eat these awesome Italian pastries
Cory Shelton
Always a line, but it moves super fast! MUST TRY if you have time! 🍰🍪 …
Joyce Bishop
The best whipped cream puffs!! Always seems to be a long line, but definitely worth the wait!

Came at around 2pm on a Monday and crowds come in waves. Nevertheless, service was super qhick. The cannolis were delicious and their cakes were decadent in a pleasant way. Definitely worth a stop!
Christy Szuba
Got a lobster tail (all of my friends from Boston told me I simply had to!) and some cannoli. Everything was absolutely delicious. There was a siginificant crowd when I arrived, but the line moves fast and the employees make sure it continues to move along. Would definitely love to go back.

We ended our evening at Mike’s. We had the pignoli cookies and a cannoli. The bake shop is amazingly authentic southern Italian. This is a must try.
Christina Nania
Finally a real cannoli!! As someone from the Montana, this place felt surreal. Fast paced and crazy, I loved it!!
Leticia Scott
OMG 😳 I'm from Vegas NV and My Family is from Boston had dinner at the North End and dessert was here! I thought it was a nightclub 🤣 The line was out the door! Little did I know we were in line for Dessert 🎂 and believe me it's worth the wait! Canolis we're tremendous!! Love Mike's …

Considering there were about 200 people in line, the speed of service was reasonable. We waited for about 25 minutes. Because the place is so busy, there are no tables or places to sit. For tourists: prepare to take your goodies elsewhere. Luckily there are many parks and gardens in the historic North End of Boston. Since they are in one of the oldest areas of Boston, don't expect great parking but do expect small one-way streets. These factors shouldn't determine a lower rating due to circumstances beyond their control. Was it worth the wait? Absolutely! There are many flavors of cannolis and even a "Boston Cream Puff." You pretty much can't go wrong.

Excellent cannoli. The best I’ve found in the USA. There are several kinds, ranging from the “classic” and “authentic” to the “new” and “creative”. I decided against getting a classic cannolo, and instead got a mint-chocolate chip. It was delicious. No regrets.
Sheena Nakahira
We had the famous cannoli here. This place is usually packed but we went durinf a patriots game on a sunday so we were able to get in the line and got cannoli right away. It was of course very good. Lots of tourist come here so be ready for a long line.
kholood alghamdi
Good place to have a desert and croissant
Lena Owens
Classic, inexpensive, Boston institution with quick and straight forward service. There are other pastry shops I definitely like better than this mass touristy one though, like modern pastry nearby for a cannoli and cafe madeleine in the south end for other pastries/bread!
Dustin Callahan
Best cannoli I’ve ever had. The ricotta filling is exceptional and the shell is fantastic. Best pastry shop in Boston by far.
Quincee Kingston
Absolutely a must if you're in Boston. Such great pastries and canolis!
Mark Beck
Hands down best place in Boston for bakery treats! The quality is second to none! If you’re looking for a cannoli in Boston go to Mike’s!!!

Got the Chocolate Chip and Nutella Cannoli. Both were delicious! Mike’s Pastry has never let me down.
bruno korbar
Overpriced, overhyped, and at the end of the day, slightly above average cannoli. To make up for the mediocrity of the place, staff is extremely rude and have missed my order in 30% of the cases.
Definitely not worth waiting in line, so if you see one, run away. Having said that it is a Boston staple.
Dave Kaye
Incredibly famous pastry shop and it didn't disappoint. Had the best canola I've ever had here and Ive definetly spelt that wrong
Rebecca Stewart
Delicious!!! Cannoli - chocolate chip was delicious. The macaroons were gluten free and also delicious ♥️ a must while in Boston!
Nitin Yadav
Pastrys pastrys and pastrys! One of he best pastrys I ever had. So many varieties and mind blowing taste!!
Mitch Dumke
CASH ONLY. Got the pistachio cannoli and Lobster tail. I know the cannoli is classic but I liked the filling of the Lobster tail more. And the tail is huge! Like can feed 3 or 4.
Doug H
Fast service, friendly people. Always a good start. Had a hard time finding something to order, though -- that's only because everything looked so damned delicious.
Settled on two cookies (chocolate chip and peanut butter crunch) as well as two cannolis (espresso and chocolate mousse) -- about $15 for sugar nirvana. Totally worth every penny. We will be back next time we're in Boston!

Mike's is known for their cannolis & pastries, not customer service. Be ready and know what you want to order because they will rush you the moment you get in to the building. Great pastries though, we got a slice of Oreo cheesecake, Boston cream puff, an eclair and some cupcake.
Erin Katzeff
Always fresh and delicious. Lines are long but they move along, don't bother standing in the back- you'll never get served, keep pushing through! Try the pistachio
Quintin Coppola
I thought it was okay. The the canolis weren't what I'm used to. So I'm willing to bet that they are from a different part of Italy. The other pastries I had were very good.
If I'm every back in town I'll stick to the traditional pastries.
Kelly Chan
Crazy wait at this bakery, one of the better cannoli I've tasted, so worth the wait. Tried the pistachio it was great.
W M
They Rush you and will do the bait and switch with cannoli count. They will close the box and wrap superfast it so you can't count. Happened multiple times.
Dorene C
Saw long lines out the door while dining across the street. Went back in a.m. for the freshest, most amazing canolli anywhere. A must do while in Boston.
Victoria Martin
Love their cannoli. I know everyone has their favorites but the cold ricotta cream that is so refreshing coupled with the thin crispy shell - the best! If you’re new to Mike’s you may be rather intimidated by how to order. Also if there isn’t a snaking line out the door don’t stand in the “line”, just walk up to whichever staff member is open and make your order. Sometimes people are just standing around deciding what they want to get and people form a line behind them and realize that it doesn’t move cause it isn’t actually a line! So if you arrive when it isn’t absolutely packed, confidentially walk up to the staff who are spaced out across the cake window display and place your order. Enjoy! The pistachio cannoli are my favorite.
Karen Dean
The Amaretto cannoli was AMAZING! This place is such an experience.
Teresa Tysinger
Holy cannoli!!! I'm not even a huge fan of cannolis, but one bite of my pistachio cannoli and I understood the crowd and the hype. Well worth the wait. In addition to lots of cannoli flavors, they also offer cookies and other pastries. Be warned though, they only accept cash. Perfect for taking a box to go and walking back to your hotel after dinner in the North End.

We go because my older son like the cannoli’s and Mikes look like a Tívoli Baker in Caracas , we going in to Mike's Pastry in our visit to Boston, some patrons said Generally a line out side, but we got inside and the lines was for each server. In a the line we choose cannolis: pistacho, amaretto , original and chocolate sprinkles . And choose cupcakes: frozen vainilla . Service was excellent. Staff is nice and faster with your Order, friendly and accurate for the volume of unprepared customers they receive. Best cannoli's didn’t things about diet.
Emily Sanromá
Pretty good but their cheesecake didn’t have crust which was kinda of interesting it was basically just strawberries and cheese lol
Arti Patel
Very quick to get to order even though it was very packed around 5pm. When ordering the lady was very rude and getting mad and made a rude comment when asked a simple question. Not a fan of the service in that regards but we loved the lemon square and florentine cookie! Cannoli was okay just isn’t my thing. Just be aware you may not be treated nicely!
Mike Ryker
Classic pastry counter experience. They wrap up your box with string coming down from the ceiling. Selection is amazing and the pastries are oh so good.
Isaac Church
The line is long for a reason. The pastry's are excellent and will keep you coming back for more. Would definitely recommend the lobster tail puff (or anything else on the menu).
Curt Burnham
Great pastries from a time honored classic in Boston. Cannolis are the biggest and best, lobster tail was huge enough to feed a big guy fire awhile. Only regret was the blueberry muffins, not good. Push your way to the counter and order up some for now and to take home. You will be glad you did!
Richard Levine
My favorite cannolis anywhere. Been going to Mike's for years and I can't find a better cannoli anywhere. It's not the best just in Boston, but the best anywhere, I always compare cannolis to Mike's and Mike's always wins. Bring cash of course and don't worry about the lines, they move fast. Plus its worth it. Hands down the best and nothing is even close!
Rebecca Hening
Canoli was good! But lady who we asked for free water from was so rude! I thought it was a legal right to be able to get water in a place serving food? We bought bottles in the end! Still the Canolis were good!
L Wil
Great little place! The pastries and cookies are huge starting at around $3-$4. They are cash only, come prepared! There is very limited seating so it may be worth considering just picking up and eating later, if you can wait!
Nicole M
Best cannoli I’ve ever had hands down. The line was out the door
Bruno D
The sweets are fantastic not to mention the flavor!
A place to go on an empty stomach,
It has a lot of variety of sweets I'm sure you won't want to taste just one!
I will definitely be back to try more of these delicious pastries.
T Smith
Great pastry an cannoli. Cash only.
rafaeldubena1995
This is about as local as you can get if you want to try some typical New England pastries. It is typically very crowded, so be prepared to wait a bit in line. Make sure to try their Boston Creme Pie, it is a pretty large piece so you can probably share it with another person.
Pranay Gohel
Excellent chocolate covered cannoli and amazing Nutella cheesecake. Not many tables for seating (3 to be exact) but wonderful pastrys.
Karla Gia
I loved this place! I tried the ricotta canoli and the lobster tail. Everything tasted so fresh!
