This place is a great local bakery business to come grab donuts, cupcakes, cookies & custom made cakes for weddings, birthdays, etc. Located off Glenwood in Garden City Idaho. Great area to explore the greenbelt along the Boise river, go to a concert at the Revolution concert house, watch the Boise hawks baseball team & even go bowling. Come here for your next pastry adventure!

This place is so good! I ordered my mom's retirement cake for her retirement from the Air Force from here and it turned out awesome. The employees in the bakery were so helpful and got back to me extremely fast. This cake encapsulated everything I wanted to represent her being an Idaho native while being a jet mechanic. Super yummy as well.

I am so grateful for Pastry Perfection! I had ordered cookies on Etsy for my daughters birthday and the lady ended up not being able to fulfill my order but didn’t let me know until the very last minute. I went into pastry perfection and they took care of me right away. Luckily they had a few in my daughters birthday theme. And to top it off they even offered without me asking to make up a few more batches! They were kind and went above and beyond! I can not recommend them enough! Thank you so much pastry perfection for making my daughters birthday a bit more special and for taking away this moms guilt of having picked the wrong place.

I was flying out to Boise with my boyfriend who had a birthday midway through our vacation. I searched some bakeries and decided to order a cake to be delivered to the house early in the morning while he was asleep. I was able to order over the phone which was a simple process. I wasn’t sure what I wanted and the girl that took my order was kind enough to listen to suggestions and turn it into exactly what I wanted! The delivery was prompt at 6 am and the cake was amazing! He loved it (and I did too). I hope the next time we’re in town we can order from them again! :)

This place is amazing. From the minute you walk in the door the scent of baked hood fills your soul. I grew up long ago when bakeries were common. I haven’t had this experience in decades. I can only comment on the donuts because I can’t get past that counter, ever. The best donuts I have ever had. We have lost the access to fresh baked goods in our world. Fresh is defined by a date stamped that shows us that the product will go bad on this date. How about a donut that was made a couple hours ago that is still warm and has never been shoved in a package. Heaven! Even the coffee is good. Also staff is super efficient. Great place!

Pastry Perfection has the best donuts around! They never disappoint. The lobby is always busy but the staff is very efficient and, although there was a long line when we arrived, we were out of there in less than 10 minutes. Today we only wanted a few donuts but their selection of pastries is amazing!

Real custard is in their decadent pastries. The cake slices are 6 bucks a pop, still good. You may get pushback, but you can still get whipped cream frosting on cakes that you order from here.

They had such an amazing selection today and they look so good, I bought more than just the maple bar I went in for. This is a great place for custom cakes. They are so helpful, friendly, and accommodating. They can build about anything. In fact, they will probably exceed your expectations as they did mine. And they are quick. They can meet deadlines. I wish I could remember the designer/decorators name but I cannot. She was amazing. Very talented and took the time to provide me a memory. Didn’t want to eat it—-but it tasted great!

Was very disappointed with Pastry Perfection yesterday. We went to pick up a cake for my son’s birthday. We asked to have Happy Birthday and his name written on the cake. The girl was very nice and we talked about how hard it was to write on a cake. They mentioned how good they were doing that at Pastry Perfections. We got the cake and I found it strange that it was already boxed up and taped. They normally show us. I did t say anything cause they usually do a good job. We got home and we opened it and to our surprise the happy birthday was written in a small plastic piece. I am sure the cake will be fine. What a disappointment though. I feel like they knew it would be disappointing and that’s why they hid it. I will not be fooled again.

They were the only REASONABLE DELIVERY service I found in the Treasure Valley WITHOUT ordering a custom cake or ice cream cake. Albertsons wanted $25 just to deliver. Nothing-bundt-cakes website says delivery available BUT it is not available. Delivery only $5 within Boise/Meridian! I'm going out of town so I can't here to pick up & drop off! Thanks Pastry Perfection for making my life easier!

I visited this spot from out of state based on the recommendation of local friends. It did NOT disappoint! I almost didn’t give them a visit, based on some of the more recent negative reviews regarding bad attitudes. This place moves fast. The employees have to keep up (and they do). I can see how easy it would be to take what they say the wrong way. I was asked “anything else?” a few times as I was deciding what I wanted, but I knew I had other people behind me so it was understandable. That being said, the donuts are amazing. I had a glazed and then a maple with chocolate chips. Super soft. Super fluffy. Definitely fresh. I’ll be back next time I’m in Boise!

This place has the best donuts! Old fashioned and the Bavarian cream are our favorites. Until I tried the sour dough cinnamon roll.... Soo delicious!! We live in Arizona but make a point to stop here on our travels, any time we're near by!

I love the cream cheese horns. But, this visit the cream cheese horns weren't the best. The pastry horn itself was very hard and I couldn't even bite into it. Everything looks good behind the glass but, the food is lacking in flavor and texture.

I moved out of Idaho six years ago and I sure do miss going to Pastry Perfection for everything: work meetings, parties, gifts! So a few times a year I call from the state of Michigan and talk to one of the awesome people at Pastry Perfection and set up orders to be delivered to family and friends! Everybody is so excited when they get a knock on the door from the delivery person with a box of their delicious pastries that I send! We just love the product and the staff at Pastry perfection you just can’t get anything better!

Best donuts in town. Believe me, I've gone to every donut purveyor in the valley many times. I love DK's too, but Pastry Perfection is my go-to. Can't beat the quality, prices are more than reasonable, and the staff is fantastic. The formula for a great donut is simple and PP nails it. I think I'll go get one right now...

Their croissants are the best I've ever had. Doughnuts too. Definitely recommend for a quick breakfast. Never had their coffee but if they stay consistent with quality it should be excellent. Everyone has a day where nothing goes right, but I've never been there for it. Highly recommend.

I ordered a chocolate cake, with raspberry filling and white chocolate icing, an 8-inch round cake. Delivery time was to be between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. it was delivered around 11:00, if I remember correctly. Not a big deal, but the cake was a huge disappointment. The chocolate was dry, and we found no raspberry filling, other than a tiny speck of something that may have resembled a raspberry. I regret to say that we did not enjoy the cake. Patricia Spence

Pastry Perfection truly lives up to its name-- it really is THAT great. I've been talking it up to my mom for months now, and I finally got to take her today. I figured since I had raved about the place so much, it wouldn't be as impressive... but she adored it! Any type of pastry, cookie, cake, donuts, you could ever imagine, they make it! The place is huge, with massive deli counters full of treats. Donuts are my favorite things to get, and the prices are super cheap. Next time you need a good donut, try it out!

The building is rather unassuming. Then you walk inside and it's a fairyland of goodies. The variety of sweets are both beautiful to look at and delicious to eat. The staff are friendly and extremely patient as you walk back and forth along the long counter, viewing the amazing display of beautifully made donuts and pastries, trying desperately to decide which ones and how many to purchase. A very difficult decision. My husband and I always pick out more than we intended to, when we decide to enter this wonderful establishment. Everything we've ever bought there has been delicious!!!

Fun, old fashioned bakery. We like stopping for a sweet treat and cup of coffee when in town. Apple pan dowdy is wonderful! I wouldn't recommend the cream puffs as the filling is not whipped cream, but a greasy and not too tasty substitute.

Staff is super nice, but the cannoli I bought is not filled with any typical cannoli ricotta filling, but rather with a sugary donut frosting type filling. It was much too sweet for what I expected. Other than the cannoli, they have many other good treats, such as their sugar cookies.

They're a great local bakery that uses fresh local ingredients. I ordered a huge cake for my son's fourth birthday. He's really really picky about what foods he'll eat, including cake. Luckily for us, they offered the half sheet pan red velvet cake, sandwiched with cream cheese filling, and frosted with cream cheese frosting as well. That's the only type of cake we've ever gotten him to eat, so we were over the moon they could make his favourite cake up to size. The next obstacle was that my son has been begging and pleading for a Marowak birthday cake for months. Even when I'd ask him what presents he wanted from relatives, it was all about Marowak. We asked and they actually had enough space for two large Pokémon if we wanted a battle scdb, so we picked one of his occasional favourites, Alakazam. Then the sides of the cake were frosted with big poke balls (like, say, between half a ping-pong ball half a billiard ball or so?). Really large but not overwhelmingly so. They fit in fine with the rest of the cake. The cake itself was wonderful, moderately sweet with a good medium texture--neither too crumbly not too smushy. The frosting was OK. The kids certainly enjoyed it, but it didn't taste very much like cream cheese. It was also sweeter than my son prefers (he's not into high sugar things like ice cream and most icings and frostings). I have a sweet tooth and I did agree it was on the sweet side, but it's a birthday cake! It definitely didspecial. I felt like I could've easily made my own cream cheese (super easy) and made much better frosting. It had none of the tangy, sweet, creaminess of a good cream cheese frosting. The cake itself was more expensive than a grocery store where you'd just pick from a book, but these cakes were not only completely customizable, they offered a large variety of frostings, nuts, candies, et cetera, for the cakes. Two of our best source images we sent (of two cartoon character he's fond of) were added to the cake top as an edible transfer sheet thing. It had no taste I could detect, and the kids alln't taste like the cream cheese was anything ate it without complaint. We had several hungry kids and still ended up with a lot of cake, which we let son eat after dinner until it was gone. He really, really loved the cake! I'd rather give it 4.5 stars, since the cream cheese frosting didn't taste anything like homemade or even store bought cream cheese icing. It wasn't a bad taste though, just not what I expect when I think of cream cheese frosting. Since 4.5 stars doesn't seem to be an option, I'm going for five. It was a hit with the kids, who didn't give a fig about the icing, except who got more. They were able to ln the characters we ended up asking for, and the red and white poké balls around the cake's edges really made it fun. Most important in the decision to go 0.5 stars is that my son loved it so much. He squealed and ran around chanting the character names for far too long before setting down and declaring that we had to eat Alakazam. I think I may consider buying another cake from you guys, as long as we're still in the area next time birthdays roll around. Prices were a touch higher than a store bought cake, but well worth it for the wide range of things they can do, the choices you're given to choose from, the art for the cake, and it all tastes good, unlike a lot of fancier cakes. Definitely worth a check in if you're planning a party of any kind. This cake was nice and moist, do it didn't really need milk or ice cream to wash it down. Perfect as is!
