My family & I have always loved this bakery, even when it was located in Woodlawn & known as Ms. Desserts. I actually had my wedding cakes baked by Ms. Desserts in 2002. Now, I share the joy of the many baked goods and food options with my sons. My youngest loves the donut breakfast sandwich & my oldest loves the cupcakes. 😊

I used to love this place, and would take a 45 minute drive to stock up on their out of this world quiche,cakes and pies. But I was there a few months ago, and the quality of their offerings is completely different. Not at all good. Does anyone know why? I'm so disappointed.

First timer here... went in to grab some breakfast... they don't have lattes... took almost 20 mins just for a sandwich, sandwich is good. Can't speak to the sweets. Don't expect a hip vibrant cafe...typical clientele in there ate ole american diner types.

Bakery Express used to be M's Dessert from Woodlawn MD. Well I love them so much, I followed them to Halethorpe MD. Yes! They renamed to Bakery Express, all their dessert is amazing. My favorite is the Carrot Cake, Chocolate Chip Coconut cookies & their beautiful decorated Birthday Cakes. Since their expansion, they have a lovely cafe serving sandwiches, pizza & so much more. They're the best in my opinion.

Great selection of donuts, cakes, desserts and foods. Always high quality and not too expensive. Love stopping in here for breakfast, lunch, or a quick donut. Pricing is very reasonable, and staff is always friendly. Location is relatively central. Only complaint is sometimes they don't have a donut you want to grab and go. Their best desserts to try are the variety of Smith Island Cakes. Definitely stop in and grab one. Their breakfast and lunch flatbreads are also fantastic. Will continue coming here and recommend it to others.

Had it NOT been for my most recent experience I would’ve given this place 5 STARS. I purchased the $13.00 carrot cake on 5/28/21, I ate most of the cake when I was picking up a forkful I see hair intertwined in the cake. Now how is this possible when I only see staff in hair nets. I am the only person that touched this cake and I’m black with off black hair. This hair was long and curly and reddish blonde or light brown. I understand mistakes happen but I question how this was possible Update: I was contacted from someone within the company , they offered their apology and offered a complimentary gift. I declined because I discarded the cake and hair. I wish I would have contacted them directly to voice my concern instead of writing a review because honestly I believe it was a “one off” issue. I’ve been a patron of this establishment for at least 20 years and that speaks volumes of how I feel about this place. One issue doesn’t deserve a unfavorable review rather a conversation

Tried it for the first time a few weeks ago with coworkers and was thoroughly impressed. Their cafe area is clean, the staff is kind and courteous and the desserts and sandwiches are wonderful. I recommend trying "The Val" on any choice of bread you like, (I even tried it as a wrap). It has turkey,bacon,lettuce,tomato and chipotle mayo. Their pretzel rolls are fresh and soft. I've ordered their chicken salad on a pretzel roll and it was very good :-)

My favorite donut shop near Elkridge! 5/5 starts for both price and taste!!! I only tried donuts from this place but this place is one stop bakery shop. You'll find from deli products (sandwiches, soups, salads, etc) to fancy cakes. It appears that they also let you order customized cakes for your special occasion. Staffs are friendly and seatings are plenty. When I took donuts to work, everyone loved them and asked me where I got them. Highly recommended!

Stopped there for the first time to pick up a chocolate cake. So glad we did. The chocolate mousse cake was rich and delicious. For the quality and quantity, the price was very reasonable. This place is great. It's always clean, and every baked good I have tried over the course of several years has been great. Not to mention friendly customer service. And It's a shame that someone would actually leave a one star review because they no longer make/ or discontinued a particular type of cake. It's ridiculous to leave a bad rating for an establishment over something like that.

I help operate a BP convenience store all the way out in Minneapolis, Minnesota. We never carried pastries and donuts here until recently when our distributor started offering a catalog of prepackaged pastries and donuts from Bakery Express out of MD. We now carry a variety of raised donuts along with some muffins, cheese pastries and fritters and our locals here LOVE them despite being prepackaged and preserved until we receive them and put them out. Our bestseller so far is the cream cheese danish and they sell like hotcakes! Please bring back the Quiche. My 88 Y/O mother and her friends are devastated that she can not purchase the Broccoli Cheese quiche anymore. It was easy for them to grab a slice and microwave independently. Even the front desk staff told us that it was a great seller and everyone is complaining about not being able to purchase them. It's not like they were cheap, so the company was making money. Please bring them back. Thank you! 5 stars if you bring back the quiche!

Very clean, the staff is beyond welcoming, helpful, & friendly. The bakery is next level but then they have the freezers full of professional quality food you can store at home & serve. Its fun to see the display cakes in the designer cake ordering window & you can't beat picking doughnuts from the floor to ceiling doughnut case. Little know is the lunch menu. Salads, fruits and sandwiches. Place is clean, and wait staff are prompt. Besides lunch, there is an awesome array of desserts. Different kinds of cheesecakes for the most discerning palette. They have a vanilla cake with white chocolate icing...to die for. Pound cake, Smith Island cake, quiche, I could go on forever. I usually get the steaming hot Reuben's sandwich. Can't help myself. There is also an area to find your perfect wedding cake, or birthday cake, or any other specific occasion cake.

We want to Corner Florist for a plant and on the counter was a box of Bakery Express Donuts. We asked the girl where are they located , she told us where they are and we just had to go there. WOW we could not believe the variety of donuts they have. They also have a lunch menu. All the employees are friendly and very helpful. The pricing for the donuts and the lunch items are very reasonable. Finding this place was like finding hidden treasure. If I could I would give them ten Stars. I know where our bakery items will be coming from this holiday season.

Best bakery around! I love stopping in and grabbing a donut or 3. The staff is always super friendly, and always helpful. I don't think I've had a bad experience here. I love their random donut selection, usually seasonal. I do miss their pretzel croissants, they were also my favorite. Also, a little tip, after 4pm on weekdays the donuts are half off, which is a steal!

Literally Googled somewhere to pick up a baked good for an event I had to take two desserts for. Was staying in a hotel in the area and saw this place had breakfast too. Their bagel breakfast sandwich was to die for. The bagel was so fresh and delicious. We tried a donut while there and it was amazing. Got freshly baked pies for $9.99 each. They look homemade. Amazing place!

I come here for the donuts regularly. I take them to my office and they are very fresh and priced fairly. Much better than the big name stuff whose coffee I am still addicted too. The cakes here are not priced competitively and expect to pay a premium over what you can get from Costco. The quality of the goods here are very good across the board and their public store front always has provided good customer service. They take credit here also.

I was three days away from my last minute wedding and after calling several places Bakery Express took on the challenge of making our wedding cake. We never tried any items from them before but they did not disappoint. Bakery Express was able to capture the everything that my wife and I wanted. The size, flowers and rose gold color scheme. The price is reasonable but the best part was that the cake was absolutely delicious!

I absolutely love this place, and cannot get enough. It's a hidden gem that looks industrial from the outside, but bakery heaven on the inside. Their donuts are always fresh and way cheaper than most places. They have delicious breakfast sandwiches, and fabulous pastries. I cannot express enough how awesome of work this place did for my daughters 1st birthday...from the initial sit down with Diana she could tell that I was very stressed with everything being perfect because it was my first childs 1st birthday....I ordered a 3D baby shark cake and I'm not gonna lie I was expecting that it would be "as close as they could" well I was wrong! The picture I gave them was EXACTLY what I got their precision is unmatched I will forever go back to bakery express anytime I need any kind of custom cake for whatever reason.... The prices are alright for their donuts. Their end of day specials for when they're trying to get rid of them are even better. They have a lot of cakes on display, and I saw multiple customers buying cakes that all looked very professional. Unfortunately I cannot vouch for the taste of the cakes, as I haven't had one. The donuts are good, but they need to add some maple bars.

Bakery Express did me and my wife's beauty and the beast themed stained glass cake topper for our wedding 10/27/19 and it was excellent! It smelled just like it tasted, super good! They went above and beyond to make sure it came super close to the picture we had with us and they did not disappoint! I always get my carrot cake from here...no one can make carrot cake like Ms. Desserts..If you have never tried it, you are missing out. They are totally out of this world. A true hidden gem in an industrial area but a must stop if in the nearby. All though well hidden it is still a popular place as it seems to stay busy. I found this place when moved to area and glad I did. While their desserts are totally addictive they have a great variety of foods, had the best egg salad sandwich for lunch then an amazing eclair for dessert. Kids can create and top their own personal donut on Saturdays 10-12. And their breakfast sandwiches are the best. 6 stars, did I mention authentic Snickerdoodle cookies?! I ordered my Mom's Threescore and 10 birthday cake here and they tailored it to my specifications. It was superbly made and enjoyed by all! This is one of the few remaining "Quality" bakeries left in Maryland. I go here for everything that has to be done Right the First time!!! ( I also enjoy the Oops! We Overbaked/ 'baked too many) section for bargains-reminds of the "day old" section old bakeries used to have to keep from throwing away perfectly good confections!)

Friendly staff. Eager to add registers to eliminate lines. Coffee and donuts are good at reasonable prices. Cafe side of business could be improved. Ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese. Got a luke warm bagel with cream cheese on the side in a refrigerated plastic container. Gotten better at Dunkin Donuts. Don't look for French or Italian bread loafs of any kind. They don't sell them.

Bakery express is hands down best bakery in town. A little pricy but worth every penny. We have had them make three different 3D cakes for us different times and each time our minds are blown away st how they can transform a drawing into a cake. The last taking the design is so kind and works with you listens to your wishes and wana draws what in your head. I wish I could post some pictures but this review should help. Great lunches and desserts. Build ur own salads are really good. Breakfast is terrible. Liquid eggs, frozen boxed pancakes, dry,dryyy hash browns. The French toast is great if it's not over cooked. Stick to donuts/bagels. Desserts are the best. Get a lunch feature otherwise it's pricy to eat. I eat here 3-4 times a week.

Cashier took great care of us and our young son was smitten with her. Got the gobbler sandwich, panini with mozzarella chicken and pesto, doughnuts, and pretzels. All of which were amazing. 100% will return Theres numerous fridge/freeze space filled with pies, cakes, cheesecakes etc. of every flavor. Everytime I'm in the Baltimore area I make a visit to Ms.Desserts. Just about everything in the Bakery is spectacular. I'm a home baker and make most desserts myself. But, I absolutely love your Key Lime Cheesecake and Decadent Chocolate Cake. I will be stocking up from there for the holidays. Most of your items in your freezer store well in my home freezer and last for months.

All enjoyed on their outdoor deck, under the shade of Aspen trees. Friendly and attentive staff. We also picked up a delicious sandwich for lunch on the way out.
