I came across this place at the state fair, so I didn't have free reign to comb through their whole menu. Their claim of "Alaska sized flavor" is very accurate. All the macarons I tried had very strong, distinct flavors, as advertised, and they were very soft and delicate. Birthday cake is supposedly a fan favorite, and was one of my favorites as well. However, red velvet was my winner from the box. Not a single macaron was sub-par; I enjoyed all. I saw multiple flavors here I've never seen at other French bakeries, so they get creativity points. Super cool folks were working the booth too. I would definitely go out of my way to check out their store next time.

Hands down, one of my favorite places to eat! Some of the salads are second to none, such as the kale and quinoa and also the beat salad! My favorite two, so stuck on them it’s hard to try anything else. However; recently I’ve been trying their sandwiches and I do say, they are exceptional! Had the pastrami one day, and the smoked turkey another! All meals come with a sweet treat macaroon and bottled water. Great deal, and all very uplifting and healthy.

Instead of a birthday cake that no one ever wants to eat, I decided to do a macaron tower from Sweet Caribou and boy was that a hit! Not only that, the customer service was outstanding and everyone really made me feel my business was important to them. You can also tell how passionate they are about their macarons and other culinary offerings. That kind of pride translates into an all around amazing experience from order to bite after yummy bite! I'm definitely forgoing a cake from now on and just using Sweet Caribou as my provider of sweets and treats!

The salads are good but would be even better with more vegetarian or vegan options to choose from. Also, I would like to see more environmentally friendly ways of serving meals when customers don't use take out. When dining in even the salads are served in plastic bowls and plastic water bottles were handed out (versus reusable bowls and glasses).

Wife ordered a delicious sandwich (which of course I sampled) and I ordered a butterscotch cupcake which was one of the best I've had. Extremely clean and upscale facility as well. I guess I'll never get used to AK prices...that's the only reason not a 5.

2021- update I love the store front expansion that they’ve done this year. Today I drove Just to come here and grab some Macarons. I love the cookies and cream, Fred Flintstone, red velvet, marshmallow chocolate, almond joy, birthday cake, root beer float, peanut butter and jelly, bananas Foster, rose lychee, Blood orange, maple bacon, Earl Grey, strawberry lemonade, & chocolate mint. They do have seasonal/holiday flavors, i wont them all but My favorites are: Pumpkin cheesecake, strawberry rhubarb, Neapolitan, ginger bread eggnog, peppermint bark, & chocolate covered strawberry. I really enjoy when I get to see the owner inside the shop he’s often doing deliveries but during lunch rush you can sometimes see him in there. He’s such a nice guy I really like him and his staff are always very friendly fast and knowledgeable. Which is why I will always come back. Often my family will give me for Mother’s Day or my birthday a gift card to go to Sweet Caribou or they pick up my favorite because they know what I like to come so many times. OK novel over 2019- The best. Amazing. Great price. Desserts for everyone i love the blondie cupcake. But my Fav is macaroons i have gotten them from all of their past pop up stands such as: Sears mall, Saturday market, the state fair and now their own store front. They have come alo g way. They do custom orders and the owner is such a friendly guy. Worth the hour drive from valley just to go their.

The macaroons are tasty. They come in an assortment of flavors with some variation week to week. Examples include mint chocolate, Fred Flinstone (with fruity pebbles/confetti), Mocha Hug, Early Grey, Rose Lychee, and Pink Lemonade, to name a few. If you get a box of 6, cost is $12, but there are larger box options as well. My kid had the Fred Flinstone and when asked to pick 2 words to describe it, he said "yummy" and "sweet." They can be a little sweet, but not overly so.

My order wasn't delivered. I talked with them and they were very apologetic and delivered my salad right away and they threw in a cupcake for the trouble. Ok...that was the best cupcake I've ever had! This needs to be a option on the lunch menu online. I'd totally order a cupcake with my salads!

Have been coming here for lunch quite regularly, I love the huge sandwiches! It comes with a bottle of water and even a mini chocolate macaroons. The sandwiches are so big that I have to take the other half home with me sometimes 😆 I can usually eat the whole thing if I’m hungry enough though. The salads here are also super yum! Cant really go wrong here and they’re working on expanding seating. Also the desserts/baked goods are *chefs kiss*

First, the service and staff were absolutely INCREDIBLE; they were so patient with people asking questions, seemed to love working there, and were passionate about their products. I love the little store and the ROYGBIV display is really cool, too. I purchased 4 macaroons for my bf as a treat, and we’ve eaten 2 already and unfortunately, they are so dry. It’s almost like biting into a cracker. I’ve spend quite some time in France and have had my share of the tasty French dessert cookie, and have even made them myself, and I’ve never had them so dry and crumbly. The flavor is AWESOME, but the texture feels old. So far we’ve just had cookies & creme (which tasted just like an Oreo) and birthday cake (pictured with a bite take out in blue). I hope they can find a way to make them less dry- or maybe I arrived on a bad day...

I love the salads, love the macaroons, and like the drinks they offer. The place is always clean and I've never had a bad experience with the staff. The pricing is reasonable, and they take MasterCard, Visa, as well as cash or their gift cards.. A really good lunch can be just a single kale and quinoa salad. All salads I've had came with a chocolate macaroon. They can hook you up with silverware and you get a free water with your purchase of a salad.

I've come here religiously for years and can't believe I haven't written a review! I probably get one of their salads for lunch about once a week on average. They're huge and incredibly filling and come with a mini macaron! Also, their macarons are to die for, I've probably eaten 200 at this point. Their cupcakes are also delicious (I got the pink lemonade today.) Their staff are always so friendly and you'll often be served by the owner who is awesome! 100% recommend!

This place is so fun, and the service staff is very excited to share the love of tasty baked good. My only complaint is that it would be good to see more than macarons, a few cookie bars, some and interesting salads. Perhaps confections? The conjoined location with a tea and coffee shop is nice, but the cookies will be so beautiful and delicious, you're going to wish they sold a greater variety of sweet treats.

Fantastic fast service, lunch options for busy professionals working nearby. I picked up a Talkeetna Ginger Sesame Salad, on returning to the office I was delighted to find the salads include a macaroon in a little container inside. A sweet little bonus. Local business owned and operated so if whether you are a tourist passing through or Anchorage born a raise I highly suggest stopping in. Great way to support a local business and pick up a tasty treat. They can also package macaroons for the plane!

Salads are wonderful! I havent had one i didnt like yet. Just the right amount of salad an dressing for my tastes, and they are delivered promptly. The online ordering is so easy. The macaroons are wonderful with fun and delicious flavor options. My only negative comment would be that I have on occasion hit a large box where some (never all) of the macaroons were a little dry (stale?) still tasty, just too crunchy, but this has only happened with the prepackaged one, the ones I have picked up from the store are always light and and wonderful.

Best macarons ever!! I've had my share and these have the best flavor and are always cooked to perfection. I recently have had a problem with gluten and had been staying away but I haven't stopped thinking about them so I googled and found out macarons are normally gluten free and if you're going to have them, you should have the Best! The flavor selection is beyond amazing and always changing. They post a daily flavor list on their Facebook page, it's super easy and the staff is always very nice, helpful and patient because I always want a bunch of flavors so they happily pull out 2 or this and 3 of that and on and on. They will also sometimes run in the back to grab a flavor another employee has just made. Their salads are delicious as well, thought out and include a macaron. Plus they have deliver, what's not to love!

Based on the first macaroon from here, I expected all of the flavors to be the same consistency. The Mexican hot chocolate and the vanilla BlackBerry were very nice, the triple lemon and the pineapple coconut were dry and firm. Because this is my first experience with macaroons, I don't know which way they are supposed to be, but I prefer the soft and chewy ones.

Macaroons making me macrazy. But really, an incredibly easy way to gain 10 lbs by eating all the cookies. They send their employees to France one time a year for macaroon training, and it shows. Each one is the exact same texture, and the flavor in every bite. The flavor options are hit or miss, but that's personal preference, not lack of culinary skills.

This Place is GREAT!! The Story of How they Got started is Really Very Sweet.....I remember seeing them start out at our Local Mall..... ANYWAYS.....they spent the summer at the Outdoor Omalley selling Macaroon and Cupcakes. The Cupcakes are Pretty darn AWESOME!! Best Customer Service !!!! They are fast efficient and care about their customers. I ordered my salad, got a call a few mins later saying their system was having problems and that they were on their way with my salad. This shop is a little tricky to find as it is the first shop when you turn in off of 36th and the sign is hidden behind a tree - I had to call from the parking lot as I drove right past. When I called, the person who answered the phone said they had just closed for the day but told me to come to the door and they would help me. I received customer service above and beyond anything I expected! She double wrapped my cupcakes so they would stay fresh as I wanted them for a birthday occurring the next day. We have not tried all the cupcakes I purchased but the ones we have eaten were moist, flavorful and topped with delicious frosting!! Definitely recommend.

Ordered macron tower for a work meeting. They were amazing. Everyone loved the fact that it was something different than your normal cupcakes and sheet cakes. The flavors were amazing and the delivery was prompt. We will definitely be ordering from them more often for office events. Sweet Caribou is amazing- The MACRONS taste like the came from France- the lunches are fresh excellent and healthy using lots of local ingredients- This is my favorite place to go to in Anchorage
