We picked up a nail in a tire. After going to several other tire centers that would not look at the tire we were referred to Paulin's on First Ave. They immediately looked at the tire, removed the nail, tested for leak and sent us on our way with no charge. Definitely recommend them for their great attitude and friendly setback.

I was on vacation and my car developed a bad miss on the way up to Maine I started calling shops and they all said they were busy and couldn’t help me So I called Paulins and Rodney said he could do it the next day. So I dropped it off after 800 and by 1100 he called me to say it was done I was so happy that he could help me because I was eight hours from home and had a rental for the day. Thanks Rodney

These boys do a great job getting your car in for service extremely fast. They are efficient and thorough in their work, their prices are the best around comparatively, and their work is dependable and precise. One thing I don't want corners cut on or shoddy work done on is my vehicle repair. These guys get that.

If I lived in Portland he would be my car mechanic for general auto maintenance and tire. He diagnosed my check engine repair light and referred me to an excellent shop nearby to work on the blown gasket. Efficient. Honest. Clean and neat.

I had a screw in my tire and the sensor was on. I called them and they took me right in. They were friendly and nice. Removed the screw and plugged the tire in minutes while I stood there. charged me $19.99 and I was on my way in minutes. Very happy. This was Forest Ave location.

These guys are the best. They took my vehicle in right at my appointment time. Everyone was friendly. Rod answered all of my questions. Nick checked my tires and said they will last another 2 winters or more and filled them with air because on my way in they felt squishy. They did the work on my car that another shop said would cost 2900.00 ( I kid you not) and charged me 152.00 for fixing part of my exhaust system. I will be returning here!

I go to Paulin’s tire in South Portland and enjoy their service. I went to this location since it’s closer to my work and they were very good at squeezing me in for an appointment, and their price point is fair. The review is 3 stars because of the lack of communication from the technicians to myself. Our car was making a noise under the hood, and when I picked it up after the appointment, they simply said the car was low on oil by 2 quarts, so they filled it. Driving home the car was still making noise. I called back to ask if this was normal. They told me that they topped off the oil, and sometimes by doing that the noise can go away if you’re low on oil. I let them know it was still there, and they basically said we’re not sure what’s going on. Fair enough, but communicate that expectation and summary with the client please.

Called Paulin’s at 4:30pm on a Friday afternoon. Was on a vacation with my family and heard noise from rear of the car. Mark told me to bring it on in, road with me to diagnose the issue, then within a hour had new brakes on the car. One of the best experiences I’ve ever had at an auto repair shop and a great price. I have used Paulin's tire multiple times for service. Their prices are comparable for the area, but they are fast, friendly, and willing to work with you to get your car back on the road. One thing that I ran into was an issue they were unable to resolve so they contacted and referred me to another shop that was able to fix my issue.

I really couldn’t ask for any better service, these guys help me out when I really needed it the most. I bought a mustang and had to dump so much money into it and the last stop was Paulin’s time & and auto care on forest ave. By the time I got my car over to the guys I was ready to just give up on the car but they helped me get the work done at a good price so I really can’t thank them enough. The guys where easy to work with in person and over the phone. One guy that sticks out the most was a gentleman name nick, he was so cool to work with he was very polite and such a nice guy. If it was not for nick being so calm and have such a great look at life I probably would have gaven up but his positive additive kept me going. Also he gave me a quote in the beginning and the fact that he was able to keep it right within $100 of the quote was amazing, I’ll definitely will bring my car back here in the future if I need a garage.

Excellent service!! I will definitely go back, and recommend Paulins to others! I recently moved to the area and needed to have my car looked at--nothing ended up being wrong, and they didn't even charge me for the time it took to examine and test drive my car! I was also not bombarded with any pushy sales guys trying to sell me on 5 different things my car "needs". In fact, I ended up having a nice conversation with the owner and manager who were very helpful and nice! If you are looking for a trustworthy and professional place to take your car, go to Paulins! I will definitely be back!

I had a noise in the front end of my car. I went to Meineke, Sullivan Tire, VIP, even the dealership and no one could figure out the noise! I happened to go by and saw their sign for a $14.95 oil change and stopped in to get one. While there I told them about the noise and I asked them if they could figure it out. 5 minutes later they came to me and brought me out to my car to show me the problem that no one else could figure out. It was something called a bushing and they had it replaced in only 15 minutes and they only charged me an extra $10 over the oil change!!! The least amount I paid at the other shops just for "diagnostics" was $45 and even then, nothing got fixed! If you need a good shop, these are your guys!! A friend of mine recommends this shop to me also, and now I see why! I found MY repair shop!

On a trip from NYC to the Maine coast. Got a bubble on our tire from a pothole. They fit us in instantly, replaced the tire quickly, and gave a great recommendation for something to do while we waited. They didn't want to oversell us on other service like alignment and a second tire due to wear, but after driving it for a few minutes we agreed it was needed. They again got to work instantly and we were on our way.

I came here after my tire unexpectedly blew out based on a classmate's recommendation. After my very short experience here, I can say that I am pleased. They were direct and honest and were able to squeeze me in on the same day I called. For my problem, I only needed to change one tire, and I was ready to defend myself from any sales-pitch on why I need 2 tires or an oil change or some other unnecessary labor. To my surprise, they never mentioned any additional services besides the one I came there for. Dan, the manager, was quick and direct. He started work at the exact start time he specified and finished in the time frame he gave me. The waiting area is small, but has free K-Cup coffee (and honestly, if you're choosing a mechanic based on their waiting area, you should probably let someone else handle your car repair finances). I would definitely come back here in the future for my future car repair needs.

I just wanted to take a moment to recognize and thank Duane and the staff at your 1036 Forest Avenue location. My wife and I are visiting Portland from Connecticut this weekend and when the low inflation warning light went on in my car this Saturday, I was very concerned about trying to get back home on Sunday. I called Paulin’s at 1:30 in the afternoon and Duane told me to come right over, even though they were due to close at 2:00. I got there at about 1:40 and he took my car right in. In the end, it turned out to be simply under-inflated tires due to the change in temperature. They added air and sent me on my way at no charge. Duane’s willingness to see me late in the day and his honesty and friendliness is refreshing and very much appreciated. Kudos to him and his team!

We love Paulins on Forest Ave! We have been taking our vehicles there since we moved to Portland going on 8 years ago! We have since moved to Richmond and we still drive to Portland to have Rodney and his team work on our vehicles. They are reliable, helpful, and have great prices! We have had just about everything you could think of fixed on our cars and the work is always done quickly and right. Once we had to have our car towed to them and Rodney told us that AAA would potentially tow our car for free and we called AAA and it was free! It saved us a good bit of money. We recommend them to everyone!
