I’m amazed at the timely-ness and honesty of this awesome humans! Had heard great things from multiple people, called on a Tuesday to make an appointment, and they had me in and out by Friday afternoon. My brakes had started to make a screeching noise, so I assumed I was due for a brake pad replacement. The team at Lawson & Sons explained there was built up dust in my brakes causing the noise and replacements were not needed. They cleaned them free of charge, replaced my splash guard that was bent out of shape, and sent me home with a bill less than $100! Unheard of! I can guarantee from past experience any other shop would have taken me in and replaced them without checking them properly simply because I’m a young female they would have assumed “didn’t know any better.” I am so thankful and impressed with the trustworthiness of this shop. You’ve definitely gained a customer for life!!

It's not often you pay $500 for your car to get repaired and drive off smiling. However that was my experience with Lawson. I've been driving around with rattles on the front end and the engine misfiring for a while. Both problems were fixed for a reasonable price. The engine issue was diagnosed quickly and they were confident their recommended fix would take care of the misfires which it did. I will also mention the engine issue wasn't what I brought it in for but figured after the suspension was fixed it couldn't hurt to ask if there's anything they could do about it. This isn't my first time doing business with Lawson. Each visit I felt the diagnosis was spot on for a fair price. Also each visit I've left the car overnight and it will take them a hot second to get to it. I'm okay with this since all the work has been diagnosed correctly which I appreciate after having dealt with misdiagnoses from other shops.

Lawsons came highly recommended to me from a Nashville "unicorn", aka born and raised. I couldn't believe how fast, honest, reliable and reasonably priced they were. I have been back multiple times, and the fair pricing and quick turnaround have remained beautifully consistent. I have recommended it to many, many friends over the years. Recently, they personally reached out to let me know they would be closed for a week of holiday, and did I need anything before then. Never in my life have I had my "car people" reach out proactively like that. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

I have taken multiple cars to Lawson and Son over the past two years and have always had a great experience from the appointment scheduling through the pick up process. Their work has been top notch and also priced reasonably especially compared to quotes from the local dealerships. They always keep busy so you will need to make an appointment a few days in advance but they have always had my car back to me at my scheduled time.

Lawson & Sons are truly masters in their profession! My Camrys alternator died Thursday, called to have it towed to them and they had my alternator repaired and battery charged the very next day! Toyota quoted me $629 for the alternator alone and an extra $300 in labor in total being over $900, Lawson quoted me $502 installed with a 2 year warranty! If you're looking for a reasonable price and honest auto mechanic in Nashville, look no further! Great work, reasonable people and prices. Parking is a bit sparse, but other than that no gripes at all. Suspected a busted strut and took my car in, turned out to be a bad control arm and strut but they only charged labor for one piece since they already had the strut off when they discovered the arm was going out as well. Great experience from this mechanic! Had a loud clacking noise from front driver side wheel after Valvoline did an oil change and tire rotation. Lawson and Son found out it was the ABS that was loose. I had an issue with a mechanic last year involving the ABS, so this could’ve been due to that incident (so hard to find a reliable mechanic). But now I’ve found one! Price was fair (wasn’t charged a separate diagnostic fee) and they didn’t try to persuade me into other services. Had to book appointment a week out, so keep in mind when scheduling. Great service and will come back next time I need a mechanic.

Again, PK and his Team have taken absolute care of my vehicle and me. It was time for an oil and filter change and a couple of other regular maintenance items. Made an appointment and they had me in and out in about an hour. The entire time I was hanging out in the waiting area (working!) I heard how professional and friendly everyone is to each other as well as the sales folks that were in and out. And I wasn't overcharged like I had been at a couple of the other auto repair shops in a 1 mile radius (looking at you M*d*s!) When it comes to mechanics, I care more about honesty and workmanship than anything else. I'm very careful about who I have work on my vehicles for this very reason. If I come once and get the pressure tactics about the $1000 worth of work I "need right now" on my car I won't be back. Being able to ask "What needs to be done now and what can wait?" and knowing I will get a response I can trust is very important to me. So, when my prior mechanic moved too far away, I was worried. However, Lawson and son came highly recommended from a good friend. I was not disappointed; it's awesome to find another highly competent and trustworthy place to take my car so close to work.

Contrary to the horrible review of one customer, these guys are class act people! My alternator was about to leave me stranded on the side of the road. I called Lawsons and these guys are the best, most professional mechanics I've ever dealt with. I called them expecting them to say it would be a few days before they could fit me in but they said to bring it on down that they could fit me in SAME DAY! I drove my vehicle to their shop and they drove me back to my house while I waited for the repair to be completed. Well, impatient me took the bus back down to their shop. While I was there, the mechanic working on my vehicle pointed out the I should replace my valve cover gaskets soon. He said it didn't have to be done today but said they would need to be changed soon. Another plus was the final price was CHEAPER than their original quote they gave me! Great service, spacious air conditioned office with a giant TV AND great, Professional service..... Can't beat it. I Highly recommend these guys for ALL of your car care needs!

I recently moved into the area and hadn't yet found a good, trustworthy auto shop to take my car to when it decided to die on me during traffic one morning. AAA suggested Lawson and Son Auto Repair, as they were the closest repair shop to my break down location. I got lucky! Not only did the guys find the problem that same day, fitting me into their already busy schedule, they also had the parts on hand and were able to repair my car by the end of the day! When I received the call from PK, saying my car was ready to be picked up, only hours after I'd left it with them, I was beyond thrilled. When I heard what the problem had been and the total cost of the repair, I was even more excited. When I picked up my car the next morning, PK noted that I needed new tires, and printed me up a quote at my request. No pressure to get extra work done, only concern for what was necessary and needed attention soon. I appreciate that. These guys left a great first impression. I know where I'll be taking my car from now on.

Attention to detail, professionalism, timeliness, friendly help, and good prices. Want to thank Lawson & Son Auto Repair. Wish I could remember the name of the mechanic who helped me. I was just passing through town and had a check engine light come on my older Land Rover LR4. They were kind enough to get me right in to check it out and make sure it was nothing dangerous. Fortunately it wasn't and the mechanic was kind enough to show me the code and clear out the system. This isn't my preferred side of town, I chose this place only because it was the closest AAA recommended for a tow after my van died in a horrible spot. They were kind and efficient and put in a new alternator in something like 4 hours, which is amazing. Even decent quality beverage choices in the waiting area. We are so happy we found Lawson and Sons! Very friendly inside and on the phone. Good price on full synthetic oil change with tire rotation for myself as well as the same for my son. Downtown Nashville Nissan tried ripping my wife off telling her she needed a new timing belt at less than 50k miles. This is when we thankfully found Lawson and Son’s. The inspected everything and assured us things were good. We’ve exclusively used them since. Very grateful for their services.
