I have been coming to Import Doktor formally known as VolksDoktor Import Service for 17 years. I have brought 4 of my own personal cars here for routine maintenance as well as engine replacement and transmission. David is one of the most honest car repair places in town. He has helped more then 50 of my friends and its a family operated business! Go no further for a company with integrity. They will do you right! Expertise and service is hard to find with imports. ImportDoktor takes their service seriously to the customer. Eventhough you might have some delays, it is well worth the wait. They have a tow service, rental connections and certified techs. It's not what's on the outside but who and what's happening on the inside. I was given a summary of the work plus what might need to be done in the future. I'm very satisfied with their work on my Mercedes and highly recommend. Definitely will be using them for now on in servicing my imports. Thank you ImportDoktor and your staff.

David George and ImportDoktor go above and beyond! I needed my car's transmission checked out. They did so and allowed me to pay over the phone and pick it up after hours, etc. When I ended up needing a new car (old car needed new transmission and would have cost more to fix it than the car is worth), I was interested in purchasing a used car at a dealer here. I called David to see if I could bring it in for them to check out and he offered to go to the dealer and check it out himself and do a quick lookover(this was free of charge)! Above and beyond service!

Words cannot describe how truly appreciative I am of the team at ImportDoktor!!! Bringing my vehicle here 3 years ago was one of the best decisions I have ever made. While from time to time appointments may be scheduled two weeks out, I have always driven my car away after service with complete peace of mind. Not only are the prices extremely reasonable, especially when compared to the service centers at local dealerships, but the team takes the time to fully diagnosis the problem and communicates options to fix it. On a few occasions I have had to have my car towed in and by EOD my car was fixed and ready for pickup. If you are on the fence about coming here, don't be - I promise you won't regret it!!!

I highly recommend the ImportDoktor! Unfortunately, I was involved in a rear end collision and had to take my car to be repaired. My car ended up being a total loss but my experience with David was amazing! He walked me through the entire process from start to finish. He made sure I was in a rental while he evaluated my car. He even stepped in to help me with the claims adjuster. He actually cared about my situation in spite of him not getting the repair job. He has taken the time to talk to me about new cars that I want to purchase and offered to inspect them for me. It is just nice to find an honest, reliable and caring shop. Hands Down, I feel that I got amazing service from start to finish! I definitely recommend these guys! I have actually already recommended these guys to a family member and a friend just this past week!

I recently ran into an issue where I could not get my car to start it didn’t matter when I tried thought the battery was dead replaced it still didn’t work ticket to Ken Towery where they suggested I take it to import doctor. Import doctor is a small family business owned establishment but being family owned means they know when it’s like when it comes time to pay the bill and they know how hard the struggle is to come up with money compared to what a dealership would have you pay they work with mostly those Volkswagen wagons and Audi’s, but I don’t I think that’s where their expertise quit. They work with a multitude types of cars and they won’t stop until they figure out what’s going on it’s not a place many people of heard about but it’s definitely one that you should’ve. This is the kind of place you’re not going to get the service and kindness from the run-of-the-mill type of auto shop they go beyond and above to get you running as soon as possible no matter what the causes. Make sure this is one business that you keep in your mind and the next time you go looking for a mechanic. Be sure to ask or Victor he’ll be more than glad to help you out

I'm not sure I can say enough good things about this place. If you have an import, this is the place to take it. I called about an issue I'd been having with my BMW 328i. The story is way to long and complicated, however, when I began explaining what was going on the Shop Mgr actually finished what I was saying. Exactly. He knew what had happened, how and why. This is the moment I unclenched. Phew! Just finally talking to someone who knew what was going on was such a relief. I was told how booked they were, and explained I was starting a new job. Mark then offered for me to bring it in and they'd work it in. THEY DID! Longer story short, once they got into the project, they found two more issues. I am so happy I bought the warranty when do purchased the car. David G, the owner took care of it all for me. Amazing! I picked up my car today, it's running like knew, even better than when I first got it. I cannot be any more pleased. If you have an import, this is it! They will forever take care of my BMW, and I plan to take my VW to them as well. Great shop. Great group of people. 10 stars! Thank you everyone at ImportDoktor.

We currently have a wrecked Tiguan and the owner Dave has gone above and beyond to provide us with the best options for fixing our car. I bought a jeep sent it to multiple people Noone could fix it sent it here and Dave called me with the problem stayed in touch even on weekends and had the service plan pay for all repairs great guy and work I'll never take my vehicle to anyone else 8 months later the jeep is still going to the shop with a,sensor code this the 4th time but i have faith they will find the problem and they work with me on the cost i got a new 2012 sorento and i only trust it in the hands of dave George and the import doktors scott who is the Jeeps mechanic pulled off a miracle nobody thought it would ever run again and David and Kevin and dave George are like family thanks guys i would recommend u to everyone

I can't speak highly enough of these guys and girls. My truck is nearing 13-years old so it's been in and out of their shop several times over the past few years. ImportDoktor has helped with everything from electrical to brakes, A/C, serpentine belt replacement and even paint and body work. Pricing is more than fair, the staff are terrific and the fact that they can help with everything from electrical, mechanical, transmission to paint and body really sets them apart from the competition. I can’t say enough great things about Volksdoktor. I went elsewhere for an oil change where I was told my car needed a $1,700 vacuum pump replaced immediately. I decided to get a second opinion at Volksdoktor, where it was found this did not need to be done at this time and would be significantly cheaper when the time came for it be repaired. They were honest, upfront, and kind. I had a wonderful experience and will only be coming back here in the future.

If I could give 10 stars I would! I had an oil leak with my VW Tiguan and they quoted me at a great price and got someone to come in on their OFF DAY to help me with my car that next day. The owner took time to explain to me what they fixed and really helped me to understand what to look for moving forward with my car if anything were to happen in the future! Needed front struts on my mk4 Jetta and they did it in three hours for less than $600 all in. Super nice and attentive people too! Update two years on: the struts they installed were a cheap brand that wore out in less than 20k miles. They'd probably be amenable if you requested the name-brand stuff.

Impeccable in every way. Would recommend to everyone. -My Honda died unexpectedly Saturday morning and would not start. I had it towed to the ImportDokter and used the early bird key drop. I received a call Tuesday morning from David informing me the engine block was cracked - I was devastated. The car was without a doubt totaled. Then, David gave me news that his tech had found a warranty for the engine my Civic had in it. That alone was above and beyond the inspection I requested. That warranty equated to a FREE brand new engine and labor from Honda. David called the local Honda dealer and set me up with a service ticket and an appointment. He took care of everything. -These guys are the real deal. You can trust them and I will definitely be a customer for life.

They were able to get the bad heater core replaced the same day, as well as changing the plugs and performed a complete inspection on the vehicle. Amazing experience all around. I chose to take my car here due to the reviews I saw here on Google and was not disappointed. It took them roughly four days to get around to my car for the inspection, which I was expecting from the reviews as well. But after the car being diagnosed, it only took them three hours to get it up and ready to be picked up. I recently got a 2015 vw passat tsi. The engine has always made a soft ticking noise in idle, and it was always concerned me (I've never had a turbo before). A buddy at work told me about how great this place is. I decided to call and set up a appointment. The gentleman that answered asked what I needed, I told him I wanted my engine checked because of the noise. He pretty much told me the noise was nothing to worry about. I was pleasantly surprised because most shops probably would have me come in and pay a fee to have it looked over, he was just honest and straightforward. I can't explain how much I appreciated that. I haven't been here yet, but I definitely plan on going in the future! :)

I recently made the purchase of a 2014 Audi Q7 with 60K miles on it, this is not the first luxury car that I have owned and I am very familiar with the cost of upkeep on these cars... However the mechanic you choose matters! I went to a service shop known around town that is located across the street from my office and was told that the car needed $3,000 worth of work, because that is what their technician recommended. I almost hit the floor because I went in for an oil change and I knew that the 55K mile service had already been completed by the dealership and this shop knew that as it is on the CarFax that they attached to the invoice. After that experience I took the car to Importdoktor and was told that the car needed next to nothing done to it, they did a little maintenance on the car including changing the oil and I was out the door for $500. I will vouch for the Importdoktor any day of the week, they are extremely honest and fair. I will be a client for life there especially after the first shop quoted me $400 for the oil change alone! A picture is worth 1000 words and that is why I attached the statement from both shops, the proof is in the pudding.

David George is one in a million. My beloved Jeep was stolen and then totaled (2020, ammiright?!). It was a heartbreaking situation. Due to a clerical error with my insurance company (Progressive💩🤮), I wasn’t covered. DG went wayyyy above and beyond to make sure I was squared away and did what was best for me, my family, and my business. I truly believe he treated me he would treat a daughter! He fought for me, advised me, and did everything he could to ensure that I was doing all the right things; he even called the dealer who bought it to make sure the deal was legit! If there is ANY one (outside of my family) in this world I would blindly trust with... well... anything... it’s him! His staff was honest, patient, hard-working, and are all around great people.

I was from out of town heading to Charlotte N.C. Found them on NAPA auto care site. I need a headlight bulb put in that requires removal of front bumper. Jaguar dealer quoted $1150 to put a bulb in 3 days. These guys squeezed me in , wife and I found lunch , and shopping, came back in 3 hours it was done for 25% of what dealer wanted. They did a great job!

This place is simply amazing, some of the friendliest and most helpful people I have ever met. My TDI had some weird issues and left me stranded near the shop but I was able to limp it there and when i pulled in it was 30 minutes past closing. The owner was locking up but he personally delayed his going home on a friday evening to help diagnose the problem and get me the parts I needed. He even went as far as calling a mechanic to confirm the diagnosis. I won't ever buy parts from anyone else.

Against my usual mechanic's sage advice, I bought an "ancient" Volkswagen. She's been pretty good to me over the last couple years, but being almost 30 years old, and with close to 200k on the clock, she has her problems. Every single time I've taken her to Import Doktor, they've diagnosed the problem accurately and quickly, and have been able to fix it for less than I could have ever hoped for, and with a real quickness. Wheel bearings and stub axles, fuel pressure regulator, brake master cylinder and vacuum booster, full rebuild of the shifter, among other small fixes, and sources for parts on the stuff I could do myself. They've always come through. I won't take Fiona the Fox to anyone else if I can at all avoid it. And I will recommend Import Doktor to everyone who needs work done and asks where to go.

The sunroof liner of our Toyota Corolla had busted out of its rail from bumping my head on it. I took it to several car shops in Louisville, including a place that was going to charge me $250 just for labor to get it out! One of the places gave up and told me there was nothing they could do. I eventually stopped by Volksdoktor as a last resort, told them what happened, and one of their mechanics came out and took a look at the problem. He was able to jimmy it out. The guy took time out of his day to help me, and didn't even charge me anything. I highly recommend this place for car troubles!

they fixed up my VolksWagon really fast, I had a broken latch and broken hydrolics on my trunk. they fixed both latches just in case. the workers there know exactly what they are talking about and do not charge to much at all. the inside is a little cramped and dirty, but is overcome after you see their great work.

If you're car has to be in the shop, it always no fun. But if I took my car anywhere else than to this Fam, I'd probably be scared to drive it off the lot. Volksdoktor knows there stuff, + even show a real concern for you. A rarity nowadays!

Took my daughter s auto there she called them they were going to put a used fuel pump on she told not to they charged 625.00 to put on was only supposed to be 500.00 they labor book only calls for 2,to 3 hours labor the pumps only 50 to 100 Rallies I use to do them and it would take me an hour there easy to do it's a shame auto businesses hurt peoples income I mean they made 300.00 per hour 2 hours work tops I'm so tired of the way these shops screw people what a shame
