I have done business with them before with automatic starters and was very pleased with the service and pricing. Late last year i asked if they would install a cd player in my 2018 Jeep Cherokee. The guy said he wouldn't sell me anything but if I got my own equipment he would put it in for me. Not sure what that was all about. Still. Had some good dealings in the past to make me wanting to keep coming back.

I walked into Mickey Shore to review a quote on audio installation. Right away, I was welcomed by friendly staff and received an in person quote instantly. After explaining exactly what I wanted done, the MS staff got me in right then and there. While my truck was in the shop, talking to Dan at the front counter made me feel at home. 29 year audio veteran Dan and in extension the MS Eastern crew made me feel like I at home and very comfortable. He answered every question I had and we even struck up a fun conversation to help me past time while I waited for my truck. He explained to me the workings behind audio equipment at my request, gave me an in house tutorial, and was extremely knowledgeable. Did you know Mickey Shore Eastern has been around for 30+ years? It doesn't surprise me! In no time at all my truck was ready for me. Not only did they fit me in right away but at way cheaper rates than two local competitors. Getting in my truck it looked like they were never even there! I have no doubt the majority of their customers are return customers. Any part bought and installed by them is covered by a lifetime warranty. Can't beat that! I will definitely be going back for any audio needs and definitely recommend them. Called Dan a few weeks ago about an inverter power question that I had. He said that he'd be happy to bench test our new inverter and verify that it could support our laptop and second monitor for working on the road - before I had him install it. Stopped in today to see him for the bench test. Long and short - the factory outlet that we have in our Sequoia will support the computer and second monitor. Dan was honest, helpful and provided the genuine customer service that I remember this store for - literally 25 years ago! This location on Eastern was my "go to" store when I was in my 20's. Dan told me the installer has been there for 29 years - so amazing! Corporate should invest a little capital in the building's aesthetics both inside & out so it can match the quality of the folks running it. Your honesty Dan earned this review. A win for integrity!

Great service every time! I went in to mickey shorr's on eastern to ask about breaking in a subwoofer. Dan was very helpful in explaining how long to break in my new sub for and the best way to do it. Every time I have been in the store, everyone is super helpful and gives great service.

I got my speakers hooked up at MS and they took good carr of me. Got in and out quicker than expected. One of my wires broke and my speakers stopped working. Quick shout out to the crew at the Eastern Mickey Shorr. I got the run around from Plainfield twice about 2 problems my wife’s van was having. Long story short I went and talked to Dan at the Eastern store. He came out took a look at one of the problems and FIXED IT HIMSELF! Then he asked a installer to take a quick look at it for the remote start (I think his name was Dan also). Next thing I knew installer Dan handed me my keys and said “your good to go”. They listened to me, then got me taken care of in less then just a few minutes. I highly recommend the eastern store for stereo and remote starters. I’ll be back to see salesman Dan for my P3’s so installer Dan can put them in! Great work guys!

I have had a couple bad experiences coming here but this last visit more than nullifies those. I called ahead to see if they could get my truck in and right away I knew someone different was working there just from the 1 minute talk. I show up and sure enough new guy. I told him what I wanted and he didn’t immediately push the high dollar stuff on me. He was honest in giving his opinion and let me tell you this guy knows his product. Because of this salespersons tactic or strategy I ended up spending 2x as much as what I planned on. I never bought warranties before now I do :) also since he was so honest I went with a higher dollar system and had them do the full install because I knew from talking to him I’d be in good hands no matter what. Another great thing I noticed is how he handled customers that were waiting behind me. He moved out an entire crowd by quickly handling their needs and prioritizing them, I didn’t mind at all. His name is Dan and I highly recommend coming to the Mickey shorr on eastern, I will be bringing my other 2 vehicles here for all of my aftermarket needs as long as Dan is there. They should use dan to train their other locations as well imo.

As I deliver and my current one is a safety Hazzard while I'm on the road disconnecting randomly fighting with cords laying on passenger side that are long and clumsy to fight with to find the button to pair to phone. I purchased a subwoofer from these guys over a year ago and for some reason my amp was too powerful for the sub. Somehow my sub would always blow and by me having a warranty I was always able to take the trip from Chicago to Michigan and swap it out with no problem. I recently purchased a used Subaru Forrester and had a set budget for a remote car starter. When I went in, Kevin suggested a remote/alarm system that was above my budget. I was determined to stick with my budget and Kevin patiently explained the options within my budget. None of them was what I wanted. I then asked about the differences between what he had suggested and the other options. I was sold on what he suggested in the first place and it has been worth every penny! It was absolutely the right choice. I ended up coming back the next day because something was making noise when the heat was on. It turned out that a mask had gotten sucked into the heating fan from the glove box! They knew the issue wasn't theirs when I first brought it in, but they still looked into it and were able to get the mask out for me. Awesome staff, above and beyond!

Truth-be-told, Mickey Shorr was not my first choice. Due to some of the reviews I read I thought I would have a better chance with Extreme Audio. However, I found the staff at Extreme Audio to be a little condescending. I had purchased a new stereo from Amazon and wanted them to install it. They quoted me over $500. I passed and decided that I would take my chances with Mickey Shorr. I am glad I did. Aaron and Matt were very kind and helpful and -- let's be honest -- they quoted me $200 LESS than Extreme Audio. So I accepted their service and the stereo was installed. The installation was good. I am very satisfied with the service I received. I post this to aid others who may be on the fence, as I was, about choosing Mickey Shorr

Definitely would recommend this place. My display in my '06 Fusion had been burnt out for at least a year and wanted to get a new radio. Got pricing at a few places and Mickey Shorr still had the better price overall. Came in on a Friday afternoon for a quote and they were extremely helpful. Asked what my budget was and what I was interested in getting and they definitely stayed within my budget, even with the install cost. After seeing the options, the pricing and the amount of time it took to install, I pulled the trigger and got a new radio. They did a FANTASTIC job and it looks so beautiful in my car - a lot better than the one it came with! Again, would definitely recommend!

Car starter works great. I called the shop ahead of time and asked them about pricing and if I needed an extra key and such which they said I did not. When my wife got it installed they told her it would cost essentially an extra $100 worth of equipment to install it with a single key instead of 2. If I had been told this over the phone I would have had another key made since the people we bought the car from only had one key.

Did such a good job I had to write a review I recently had work done here and I couldn't be more pleased with my sound system. I came in with quite the project with needing an amp and sub hookup, with a sub literally taking up all of my tiny car trunk space as well as having a receiver replacement. Something that would of taken me all day took these guys 3hrs and they had my stereo hitting hard with a clean install. They also guided me to which amp would pair up best with my sub and the amp I already had and what would work well with the new reciever. Definitely would recommend these guys if you're going to invest into your car stereo, you'll have to get there early as they are a busy place but it's 100% worth it!

I got a car starter installed here for around $260 the exact same starter at best buy was around $600!! the guys here are friendly enough and seem knowledgeable about all of their products. I just wish you could set an appointment because they're very busy during the winter

Just had a Pioneer stereo installed in a 2009 Fusion from this location and they did an awesome job and it was finished in about 1 hour. This location is a first come first served and takes no appointments so it's strongly recommended that you get there 1 hour before opening and stand in line to get your spot. The staff has a hard job with the fact that they have to turn folks away when they have a full schedule. Give them a break if you get there and they are busy and you can't get your product installed that day! Just show up earlier the next time! Great friendly service and professional install. Thanks!

Top of the line work! I had a complete JBL system installed in my 2015 Ram 1500 complete with four JBL GTO0939 to replace the door speakers, two JBL S3-1024 subs, a Fox Acoustics box, and a JBL GTR-7535 amp. Took it in at 9 and it was done by 4. They provided nice clean work and it sounds awesome!

Telephoned to ask options for a stereo player with Bluetooth & a USB port to replace the older player in my daughter's new (used) 2007 auto. Jason offered (what sounded like) several reasonable options over the phone, installed the player that day, patiently and pleasantly explained to her use of Bluetooth, Pandora, hands-free mic, etc on the new player. Couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience.
