I’m unsure what topic my issue would be listed under but can say the front windshield was no longer defrosting. I had come to Tom & Jerry’s after previously getting a quote for double what Tom & Jerry charged for the same work. They did everything they could to keep the cost down and we’re accommodating on holding on to the car until I was available to pick it up. Contacting them via phone call can be a bit challenging so I stuck to texting with them.

Took my van in because the back wheels were making a terrible noise, and I asked for an oil change too while they had it in the shop. I was notified the next day that it was ready for pick-up - their mechanic had found a bent dust shield in the wheel and fixed it. I was only charged for the oil change and no unnecessary parts, labor, etc. (this was in comparison to another shop which said they would charge several hundred dollars to replace the entire braking apparatus). I'll be taking my vehicles back here for service whenever I need it in the future!

Pretty quick with their service and honestly nice people. I had them check out my fuel injectors because a different auto shop told me they were going bad, the mechanic here said he saw nothing wrong with them and made sure of it too. I'll be back for sure when I need work done on my vehicle

I came here after calling about 5 other auto places to get my oil changed two years ago—they were the first and only mechanic to charge me under $100 for a conventional oil change. As a woman, I never felt uncomfortable coming here alone, and everyone was always really nice (heavy Dad energy). I’ve been here several times since I’ve been on campus for a bunch of small stuff (nail in tire etc) and they always have things fixed quickly and cheaply. Big fan of this place. I’ll be hard pressed to find a new mechanic as good as them since I’ve moved away.

These guys are the BEST. My Ford explorer was overheating because of a water pump leak. The dealership quoted me $4000 and Tom and Jerry's fixed it plus some extra routine maintenance for $2100 and they had it finished in less time than the dealership. They took pictures of everything that needed serviced so I felt comfortable they weren't doing unnecessary work. They were so nice to me and overall their customer service is just so much better than a dealership. I plan on having my car serviced here for now on!

I had a really good experience here. Their initial inspection was really thorough with photos that were sent right to my phone so I could see everything recommended with my own eyes. Once I agreed to repairs they waved the inspection fee, which was a nice gesture. Happy with my new tires as well. Definitely recommend.

These guys are top notch professionals! They were all super nice and accommodating. I was able to pick up my car the next and and they only worked on the problem, no scams no extra nonsense. My car was lagging on acceleration and blowing white smoke out the back so it needed an oil change and a flush/coolant replacement. They took care of it all! Afterwards, my car drove like a dream. They know what they’re doing and they use the right components for your specific car type. Thanks guys, will be back when it’s needed!

A job well done by you guys over at Tom and Jerry’s. I dropped my car off on Tuesday needing to get an oil change, new air filter, cabin filter, 4 new wheels & alignment. My car was running loud and shaking, so I took it to get checked out by the team at Tom and Jerry’s. They found the problem with my exhaust, and rather than having me replace the entire exhaust system, they referred me to a nearby muffler shop that could do a custom repair that would be able to do it sooner and save me money. I respect their willingness to put their own financial interests aside and help customers find the best solution for their needs. Would highly recommend!

I had a great experience with Tom and Jerry's! I was able to drop off my car when we agreed and pick it up before they closed. I took my car to them because the mechanic shop I was normally going to didn't hear the issue I heard. My daughter recommended Tom & Jerry’s as she also was impressed with her experience there. As an old guy I had run down all the checks on two issues I was having with my elderly Honda Civic: I had checked fuses and relays on both an A/C problem and a starting no-go. They replaced the fuel pump at a very reasonable $, and where other shops had proposed upselling an ac compressor replacement/ they did a ac clutch shim repair , saving me big $s. I’ll definitely return !

Jerry and his team are amazing! Always ready to help and go above and beyond. I was on a car accident, scared and didn't know what to do, called them and Jerry himself went, called the tow and waited with me until we got the car to his shop. They were super nice on the phone, and even though it took a few days to get them to see my car, it was all done in under 6 hours for less then everyone else was quoting me. Jerry was sweet and held open the shop a little longer so I could get my car. Even told me about an issue that another repair shop didn't fix after my car had been in an accident. And they fixed that as well for no additional cost. Will definitely go back there again when I need it.

Great guys and even better service. I've been here a couple times, most recently for brake work, and don't have a single negative thing to say. They give it to you straight and I've never been pressured to get service done to my car that wasn't needed-- the one time I took my car in to get something repaired they even told me that I didn't need it and it would be a waste. They're work is top-notch and their pricing is beyond fair. I've recommend this shop to multiple people and will continue to do so.

I know my way around cars, but definitely needed help this time discovering the problem. Their full inspection helped me map out a gameplan for fixing up my old used Honda Fit. Very thankful for how upfront they were with their estimates, and for sure will be returning for them to fix the issues I cannot! They also were incredibly kind when I came to pick up my vehicle. Wonderful business! UPDATE 1/22/2021 I recently visited and was slightly disappointed in comparison to my last visit. I was concerned that there may have been an issue with the wiring on my vehicle because both front headlights had gone out. I took it in to get looked at, and It turned out just to be the bulbs. Instead of calling me, they went ahead and replaced the bulbs charging me $106 for a quick repair I can do on my own for $20 or less. Overall still a great company, but would want more honesty and clarity in the future as I would have asked them not to replace the bulbs.

Having a daughter at OSU and being two States away can be challenging. Especially when her vehicle starts having issues. It's like having your vehicle break down while on vacation. You're at the mercy of the closest shop. I read the reviews on Tom and Jerry's and decided I could ignore the one star reviews. They came across as a typical Karen complaint. When my daughter texted me the estimate my own inner Karen started coming out. Given our lack of options I gave her the go ahead. I'm glad I did. She just picked up her jeep today, but says it is running perfect and the AC is cold. Hopefully it stays that way. The final invoice came out $30 less than the estimate I thought was for only one of the repairs needed. I purposely didn't contact the shop myself knowing it can be very confusing for them. I assume my daughter misunderstood what was included in the estimate. The invoice includes detailed notes on the original inspection/customer statement and the repairs completed. I would definitely recommend Tom and Jerry's. If the original estimate freaks you out, ask them for the details. Every thing I was charged for was very reasonably priced. They even corrected an issue that I was not charged for. I'm guessing a vacuum hose or three were the cause. I'm very pleased, but keeping my fingers crossed the 2003 Jeep liberty holds out a while longer. Thank you Tom and Jerry

Short summary: Tom and Jerry's Auto is straightforward, able, and reliable. Their prices are good and the service is excellent. Jerry, the owner is often in the office. 10/10 recommended. For two years I've been taking my car to Tom and Jerry auto for routine care and various fixes. They worked on my 2002 Chevy Prizm and 2007 Honda Fit. Kevin, the front desk man, always calls me to talk about what they've fixed, what they found, and how much it may cost to repair it. Both he and the mechanic who works on my cars, George, are straightforward and helpful in answering my questions. The prices for parts and labor are good, and Kevin explains what each part of the total cost is, whether materials or labor. When I was considering buying my current car, I brought it in and George and I took it for a test drive. Then George did checked all the items on their used car review sheet to look for any problems. After he said the car looked to be in good shape, and explained all the things he found, I felt more confident in buying the car. I found Tom and Jerry's by recommendation and they've been one of the best mechanic shops I've used.

My car was making a very concerning creaking noise from the front suspension. Took it into another mechanic first because it was closer to where I live, and they told me the lower front control arms needed to be replaced. They told me it would cost $1200. I’m not a car expert by any means, but just by doing some research on my own, I knew that this was an outrageous price for this service. The parts themselves cost like $200, meaning that they were going to charge me $1000 for labor. I called Tom and Jerry’s next because they were also relatively close. They were very professional and kind, and they fixed my car for half the price as what the other mechanic quoted me, and it has been working great. I have since moved, but I will be using Tom and Jerry’s as my go to mechanic as long as I live in this city. Highly recommend.

Let me just start by saying, their customer service IS LIKE NO OTHER. I needed immediate attention because my tire had a nail in it and I’m new to the area and didn’t know where else to go! I called over 10 places and no one was helpful considering I needed to drive over 3 hours the next day! They took me in and got everything fixed in LESS than 30 minutes, they checked my entire car, not only my tires. They called me back to ensure I was satisfied! These people are incredible and their prices are so reasonable!

I gave 5 stars, the people that work here seem like decent folk. In terms of price and service, not sure how to relate - don’t have that much experience. That said, for my 25 year old truck, replacing a water pump costs $1000 and replacing a crank shaft seal costs $560 here. Edit: I took off a star bc after both repairs, a day or two after, something went wrong with the truck. First time a coolant tube leaked (after having the water pump replaced), the second time bolts were missing from radiator fan enclosure (seal replacement).

When my mechanic that I had used for years moved out of town, I needed some brake work for my business car. I called and spoke directly with Jerry, the owner. They got me right in and diagnosed the break issue right away, but also found another problem that if not repaired could ruin the engine! The repairs were finished quickly, and the price was very fair for what was done. They also found some little issues that could wait and told me so. The people at Tom and Jerry's were great to work with and I will be coming back whenever I need my car repaired!!

My car's engine was billowing smoke when I would try tp start it, leading me on a search for a mechanic. Tom and Jerry's was very highly rated with some quality reviews attached. I sent it in on a Thursday and it was fixed by Friday, the next day. The price for the fix was appropriate, the service was tops, and the staff were above and beyond. I would highly recommend Tom and Jerry's to anybody who needs their car serviced.

Great people, central location, and excellent customer service! If you have a car problem, and live in the Central Ohio area, check with Tom & Jerry's Auto first! They have helped us save a ton of money two different times. I called these guys after being told by a competitor that the work I needed would cost about $500. T&J quoted $250, and then it ended up costing even LESS than that, saving well over 50%! Also, their turnaround was very fast - dropped the car off yesterday morning and they had the work done before the end of the day. They are extremely welcoming and easy to work with, and especially helpful for new customers. If you're reading this review, you'll see countless other recent reviews, all extremely positive! That's because this really is an honest auto shop!

Tom and Jerry are well known among my family and are always helpful and upfront about services and cost. They have fixed my old car a few times and were perfectly helpful to cut the cost by getting only the necessities when sinking a lot into it wasn’t worth the time. Jerry himself offered to teach me whatever I was struggling with in regards to upkeep! Doesn’t try to take advantage of people who don’t know cars!

I had my car towed here to assess a funny noise coming from the engine. From my first phone call to having my car fixed was just an incredible experience. So friendly, so helpful, so fast and so cheap. I had my car assessed, fixed, test driven and ready for collection all in one day. It turns out that the noise was coming from a bent bracket the they removed, bent back and then replaced and only charged me $65 total. Very reasonable and trustworthy people and I highly recommend.

They are the most honest and fair priced mechanics there are around. I went in with a battery that kept dying, a burnt smell coming out of my heater, and a screeching noise from my engine. I thought it would cost more than a thousand to fix. They found it was a $10 part and replaced it fast. Do not go to a backyard or craigslist mechanic. My friends tell me only horror stories. Tom and Jerry's is the only place I would ever consider. I've been taking my cars to them for 15 years and my parents have taken them there for longer than that. They have always been 100% honest, and inexpensive considering the quality of service rendered. They warranty all of their work as well.

Had a battery that kept dying tried replacing the battery, had the alternator looked at these guys diagnosed the problem as a bad electrical seat switch and switched it out for a fair price. Super happy with Tom and Jerrys! Took my car here after having a terrible experience at pep boys. I saw their awesome reviews and decided to give them a chance. My car runs the best it has since i got it used 4 years ago. Pep boys cut corners in order to make my bill smaller which ended in me having the same problem 6 months later. I would have spent less in the long run if they had actually fixed the problem. Tom and Jerrys got everything done properly. They don't cut corners and they do a fantastic job. I'm confident i won't have the same problem again. The staff was also insanely courteous. When i dropped my car off the man who did my paperwork made sure i had a ride back and offered to drive me. Really happy i found them!

Edited review August 22, 2015: Unfortunately, I had to downgrade my review from 5-stars to 3-stars. I had my tires rotated at Tom & Jerry's in late July. In early August, I went on a trip to WV and found that my rear wheel was only being held on by one lug nut. The other rear wheel also had loose lug nuts. The wheel was wobbling and we almost went on the highway with it like that! Fortunately, I have AAA and they fixed the issue. However, when I called Tom & Jerry's to tell them about it, they didn't apologize (which is what I truly wanted). I was told that the owner would call back but he never did. I'm really disappointed because I had just left the 5-star review after years of great service. This was a life-threatening oversight (that came on the heels of another oversight where they failed to reset my oil meter). I can no longer endorse them. I will leave them 3-stars because of the years of trouble-free service prior to this mistake. Original review (July 28, 2015): Friendly, knowledgeable, honest, fast. What more could you ask for from any business but especially from a mechanic? I've never felt like they're trying to hoodwink me. They are always very careful to explain exactly what they think is wrong and give me a chance to decide before starting repairs. The prices are fair. My husband and I have been loyal customers for 3 years and recommend them highly to others.

The people here are so friendly and helpful and i really feel they are honest. I have been there 3 times now to help with my junk of a car and they always go beyond helping. My only complaint, and this only happened once, is i felt they kept my car at the shop too long (monday through friday) to replace a part. But as a small business i know they have other cars they must work on with the staff they have. But wished they would have communicated with me about how long they would take. (I called twice about when they thought they would finish and they said they didn't know). Though, after i got my car all my troubles melted away and it's been running smoothly since! I will be back, but hopefully not anytime soon!

Had my car brought to Tom and Jerry's twice now. The first time for a battery replacement and now a loose exhaust. Ran into a communication issue (I dropped it off after hours over the weekend and probably should have checked in with them sooner) but as soon as I called they were able to have it ready in just a few hours. Things happen - the mark of a good business to me isn't a perfect record but quickly responding to mistakes and miscommunications. Always very friendly staff who explain things in an easy to understand manner. Despite coming in with relatively simple problems I never feel talked down to or silly for bringing it in! Tom and Jerry’s is the most reliable auto shop I’ve ever had service from. One thing you get from working with Tom and Jerry’s is that they never upsell a service or anything. They will specifically say what is wrong and I’ve actually had them tell me that a minor service doesn’t really need to be done. This isn’t something that a shop that tries to wring as much money from customers would ever do. I’ve never seen advertisements from Tom and Jerry’s and honestly, they don’t need it because people find out about their quality work through reviews and word of mouth. I won’t be going to another shop as long as I’m in Columbus.

I chose Tom and Jerry's because of good ratings, fairly reasonable prices and that it's location was convenient. The first time I went to them it was to get a mysterious electrical problem solved where I couldn't get my car started (no spark). Like always, it didn't materialize. After I pick up the car, I immediately stop to get gas and then guess what - the car doesn't start. I call them and they show up in 10 minutes, get 'er started and we drive to the shop so they can do a last minute run through to make sure everything was okay. The culprit - a loose clamp on the battery terminal. The second time I went it was for routine maintenance, including a waterpump replacement. I take it home and third time I drive it - bamm - white smoke from under the hood. I take it back and it turns out that a clamp on a coolant hose (reattached from the repair) was loose. No charge for the repair and they gave me a free oil change. They were nice about it but gosh, if I were less knowledgable I maybe could have lost my engine... Bottom line - they fixed my car at a decent price and their staff was fairly nice but I wish they were better on quality control.
