My check engine light was on and I needed to have my spark plugs and ignition coils replaced… the tech also noticed something else that could affect the performance of my car and assisted with that as well…I took my car in Thursday morning and Friday afternoon I was picking it up… the prices were reasonably fair and my car is driving great! I will definitely be using them for future services and highly recommend.

They did a great job servicing my vehicle. I got my rim’s reconditioned which required sending them off to another company for repairs which took some time but that was out of their hands. Overall I would definitely bring my vehicle back for upcoming services/repairs and I do recommend them

Wheel alignment and oil change $468. The work us good and car is running fine. I could not get a call back and they could not read the electronic estimate for I returned. I denied some services and when I called they said they needed to order parts for the services I declined. The shop is great but the office -- not so much

They were amazing! They provided a ride to and from work, they changed the battery in my key fob without charging me and they vacuumed the inside of my car when they were done! It was so nice to have everything taken care of and I couldn’t believe the price for everything they did!

They did a good job with my serpentine belt, but offered to wash my car but forgot. My interior was all rearranged in a confusing way and I was upsold another $1k which I'm not sure I needed or not. They use a cool app to communicate with me, but without someone with whom I could ask questions, I just declined the service. Not sure.

This is only my second visit but I am hooked. I do have to go to the dealership for somethings under my warranty. However anything else will be done here. My actual appointment was one week from the day I showed up. Once you become a customer there you get assigned a person to deal with. Josh is my guy he informed me of my mistake, (I should have known I usually get a reminder text a couple of days prior to any appointment) But all was not lost he said let me please see what I can do.! Got a call back saying they were gonna do it anyways and I got my usual breakdown of cost and my approval required to do the work. Professional, accurate and Completed as if I came on the correct day.❤️

My AC was cutting out when I would turn the fan on high. I had my blower motor & blower motor resistor replaced. Now my AC blows great. These guys are awesome and they do great work. I've had other work done in the pass as well. They only work on foreign cars so it's costly but if you drive a foreign vehicle I'm sure you're already aware that getting them repaired isn't cheap.

They continue to be the best auto repair shop I’ve been to. Professional, courteous, fast and reasonably priced. This time I had an issue with my car that, after exhaustive investigation and testing, they determined was just a battery that needed to be recharged. Art reduced the price of their original estimate which saved me several hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars in unnecessary new parts and labor. Love these guys!

Had engine check light go on at times and off on there times. We thought it was related to the fuel cap and gasket. Browns did a thorough diagnostic of the car and did some needed maintenance too. I like their diagnostic process because it identifies issues before they become problems on the road or catastrophic like a transmission failure. I get a text at various steps throughout the process and they provide excellent advice. My car has about a 175,000miles on it and I am confident that it is safe to drive across town or across the country.

They also worked with my schedule because I had a last minute work trip and they were very accommodating to make sure I had a loaner car since the repairs were going to take a few days. I recommend BMW NE for your car repair especially if you have a Mercedes Benz.

I have been using BMW for about two years now. Usually it's only for the A or B services. But my Radiator line to the Turbos broke causing the engine to overheat. I ended up spinning over 6K with many different services conducted that were to many to name that included different flushes and air ride suspension. It has been 3 days since the services and the fluids are still burning off which will probably take another day or two. We will see how things are running in the next week or so. The only thing I would say about the business is, getting back to the customers with updates. I ended up with a $500 rental car bill because the days kept being pushed back. That's my only small complaint. Kyle is awesome if I say myself.

We have been dealing with Brown for over 10 years. We have two BMW Series' after the warranty runs out Brown Motors Works is the only places we deal with. Always great prices, and outstanding customer service.. They give you a detail layout of what is wrong with your vehicle with pictures of location so you know it's right the first time. Any foreign car don't hesitate to call on them you will be happy you did.

I was generally satisfied with the service on my Volvo. It was serviced on a Friday and as a result they did not have time to wash it before I came to pick it up. They are closed on the weekends and I needed the car. More significantly they did not call me to obtain approval for the total charge which was far greater than the pre-authorized amount. Very friendly with awesome customer service. The online update was not updated through out the week. My car stayed for 6 days and no update online. I received a call the same day I dropped my car off that a part had to be ordered and would be there on next business day. So after I did not receive a call or the online information was not updated, I called on day 6. I called at 7:30 am and I was told they were still waiting on the part. I then received a call at 9:45 that my car was ready for pickup and the online system was updated to say ready for pickup. Everyone has told me, they forgot about my car because I was a nice & easy going customer. I just hope that is not true, because I plan on using them again.

I believe Brown Motor Works does excellent work however; I had issues with the quote I received. I was told the battery for my 2015 X6 would cost $350 plus tax. I was also told (without asking) that they would provide a diagnostic review and that this was free of charge. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle I had several additional charges and my bill was ~$500 and that included my $25 coupon for signing up for text messages. There were also other fees. This was an issue because I asked in advance what the charges would be. There were some other charges as well for materials or something similar. Once again ... this should be quoted when asking for the price. I still ended up paying ~$400 when it should have been about $346 when you factor in the taxes and coupon applied to $350. When I disputed the charges I was told that they had to perform this to make sure it was the battery and that is fine BUT I should have been told. This would have allowed me to do more price comparisons with different companies. In my case, I was out of town in Columbia as I live in the DC area and I faithfully take my car to the BMW dealership for regular service so I didn’t need a diagnostic as I knew with certainty that I needed a battery as my car sends service needs to my dealer. As, I said my charges should have been ~$346. Outside of this issue the people who work here are professional, nice and courteous. They are customer oriented and I believe they did excellent work on my 2015 X6. My advice to Brown Motor Works is to wear a mask when assisting customers during COVID and quote the real price of services.

I took my vehicle in because it went into limp mode. I explained I needed a loaner but they said they didn't have any. Two weeks later, still no loaner, the car broke down again two hours after picking it up but, now appears to be running properly but, I'm still hesitant to drive it out of fear it's going to break down again. The staff was always professional and provided Uber for me but, these guys are EXPENSIVE! Not real sure I got a good deal on the parts prices but, I'm hopefully on the road again.

I used the early drop off box, left my keys and they called me around 2pm to let me know everything was completed! I got a nice complimentary car wash and text message to show my truck and what services were performed. When I picked up my truck the guy in the office was super friendly and even gave me a cozy! I will be bringing my Range Rover back for all services!

Brown Motor Works serviced my BMW 128i with an oil change as well as replacing the Oil Filter Housing gasket. I received LITERALLY the most extensive Inspection Report I've ever seen from a repair, shop including major dealerships. The report included detailed photos of the areas needing work/repair, including estimated costs. The recommended work was even listed by priority. To top it all off, a free carwash and a key dropbox with a code allowing me to pick my car up after hours. Tremendously satisfied customer here, and I will definitely be making them the exclusive repair shop for my BMW.

I took my Mercedes to Brown’s Motor Works because it was having suspension problems and I must say they did an outstanding job of repairing it. And they did it for a very good price comparable to other high end shops. Keith was very nice and upfront about my vehicle. He didn’t give me the run around I felt like he cared. I did experience one negative thing which was lack of communication with this establishment. I dropped off my White 2013 Land Rover off on a Friday around 8:00 am. I didn’t get any contact from BMW until after hours which was an email. I had my work badge in my vehicle which is mandatory at the Post Office in order to get inside the building or work. I called all weekend and left messages which I couldn’t get a hold of anyone so I could retrieve my work badge. This attempt was unsuccessful. Hopefully this is improved so no one else experiences this issue. I only had one key for my vehicle. Everything else was fine. The professionalism, curtesy, and very detailed email on what needs to be repaired on your vehicle. Truly astonishing.

Got my Brakes done on my Audi A8. Price was a little steep but I did pay $1100 less than the dealership wanted to charge. So I’m not complaining. Also I am active duty military and they gave me a 25 dollar off discount. Very professional and service was great.

Had a engine oil housing filter leak which lead to tons of problems like needing the cooling system replaced. They ordered the parts immediately to get me back on the road and I appreciated it that fact. I was aware that I had a hpfp issue and I went ahead and got that issue squared away. Experience was working with this business was great but I don't know who supply their parts but they are extremely pricey. I had to drive back to North Carolina the following day and half way in the drive I received a code for a cylinder 5 misfire, but I believe that's due to more of a load, with a new hpfp fuel pump. After changing the spark plugs when I got home. The problem disappeared.

I brought my vehicle in for a post purchase inspection. My vehicle was operating very well other than the horn and intermittent wipers not working. Brown Motor Works did a thorough inspection and detailing everything in writing and pictures that needed to be repaired, suggested to be repaired and items that needed no attention. All repairs were also presented with approximate costs which was a good surprise. The gentleman that completed the inspection also explained every item on the list. My only complaint is that I initially brought my vehicle in because the horn and intermittent wipers weren't working and on the checklist it stated that they were checked and in working order. I was disappointed at this because they were and are not working. I learned a while ago that there's no need to pay attention to to large details if you don't pay attention to the smaller details. With that being said, because of their professionalism and customer service, I'm sure I'll still use them, and would recommend them. I'll just keep a closer eye on what they say they've done. The manual shift gear linkage on my Porsche Boxster broke, leaving me stuck in 3rd gear. I called around to the usual places, but either they couldn't do the work at all, or there would be a long wait. I've used Brown Motor Works at various times for a couple decades, and I know the owner, Keith, is a reputable guy. However, the shop is not in a convenient location for me, so I typically use someone closer to home or work for routine maintenance. When this gear problem came up, I didn't consider BMW at first because it's an hour round trip. But when I called, they said they could get me in right away. I had my car towed the next morning, and they did an inspection the same day, confirming the broken gear linkage. They also found an oil leak and a leaky water pump. Marcus did a super job working with my extended warranty company to get the maximum benefit for needed repairs. They provided a free loaner, and the approved work was completed in a timely manner. I will never take my vehicle back to the Volvo dealership for services. Recently, I was given a quote to repair my 2018 Volvo XC90, which I wasn't too keen about. A neighbor told me about BMW, as he had good experiences, when taking his Mercedes there. He told me that it would be cheaper to repair at BMW and they'd provide great service. I gave it a shot, calling them on Wednesday afternoon to setup a diagnostic appointment for the following day, Thursday at 2 pm. I was very impressed when they offered a loaner vehicle. I picked the loaner vehivle up at 2 pm and by 5 pm, they called to tell me the diagnostic was done and they would momentarily email the detailed results of the diagnostic, to include the cost to repair each issue. The diagnostic highlighted and described all that were GREEN (good with my vehicle), and RED (issues that needed addressed or repaired). I have never received a detailed diagnostic like this at Volvo, they always tell me what they found and how much the overall repair will cost. I called BMW the next morning, when they opened, to give them the "go ahead" with all the repairs. While the repairs totalled $1200, I am confident, BMW was cheaper than Volvo, and they probably would have maxed me out at $1800 for that particular service. BMW texted me around 1 pm - the repairs were complete! Now, this is what I call FAST service (less than 24 hours)! They didn't drag out the process. I'll never take my car back to Volvo. Thanks, BMW, for caring for my vehicle and providing me a great repair experience. I'll recommend you to family and friends.

Review by Keith Gaines: These guys are first rate! I brought in my Porsche 944 because there was a whining sound coming from the front of the engine. Keith (the owner) came out and in less than 10 seconds diagnosed the problem. Apparently an, internal balance belt installed by a different shop had been put on too tightly (a common problem with shops that don't understand Porsches). I dropped off the car a couple of days later, picked up my free loaner, and within 48 hours the problem was corrected along with the proper completion some much needed maintenance. May 5, 2020 - Took car in for convertible hydraulic repair and tie rod. They were very professional and got the car repaired quickly. Car finished on May 15, 2020 (Morning) May 15, 2020 (Afternoon) Convertible top would not close all the way and back glass left standing up. After calling Brown Motor Works we were able to get the top down by releasing the clip on the top of the driver side hydraulic for the top itself. When we pulled the pin we had the hydraulic piston fall off as it was not attached at the bottom and may have been the cause for the piston rod bending. They agreed to tow the car back and sent someone to get it that night to take it back to the shop. On May 22, 2020 (Morning) I picked up the car but due to heavy rains was not able to test the top. May 31, 2020 (Morning) Took the car out for a ride with the top down after rains were supposed to be over. Enjoyed being able to ride around with the convertible again but upon arriving home; I was not able to put the top back up. Got the error on the dash: Top Visit Workshop”. I am now with a car open to the elements and yet having to take a third trip from Irmo Ballentine area to Clemson Road in Sandhills area. This is taking time out of my schedule for work and causing a burden on friends to keep giving me a lift there when I drop off and pick up the car. Picked up the car after letting Brown Motor Works keep the car for a week. They got the problem fixed and were very apologetic. After talking with them and getting the issue fixed; they proved they stand behind their work and did everything the could to correct the issue. There were a few bumps along the way with the repair and i would still go back to them for any work. They do stand behind their work and are professional.

I had my 2000 VW Passat diagnosed by them recently and I'm pretty impressed on the work that took place. Alongside diagnosing the complaints on the vehicle, they also do a complementary inspection. Everything gets documented and pictures along with descriptions are sent to you for each problem and potential problem they find. This means you get evidence based diagnostics. Once the diagnosis is complete, you may even sit down with the advisor/technician to discuss further the results if something isn't clear or want a deeper understanding of the issue. Overall, I have found BMW to be customer centric (you are treated with respect and they provide amenities to customers (such as loaner vehicles or Uber amongst other services)) and transparent to their customers. It would definitely be worth your time to at least speak with them. You can even see without this review, they already have a highly satisfied customer base from the Google reviews before mine.

I drive a ford and had a light come on. I stoped by to see if anyone could help I was told they dont work on fords but they would look at it to see if they could advise . Marcus up front ask the person in the office to see if he knew what the light means. Mr Stansell went out and advised me the light was my alternator. I told him I just had a oil service done yesterday he raied the hood and found a loose wire he fixed it I'm so blessed to have found them thanks you to yall for being so so helpfull. o yell he would not take a cent.
