Staff was friendly, we never been over there so we was not sure where to go. They should of told us when the appointment was made that it takes 2 + hours we would have been better prepared. The coke machine was almost empty plus it was taking people's money. But at least we had a cool place to sit. Bathrooms was clean and well stocked. They need a snack machine. There is one in another part of the building, but you couldn't get there because they are remodeling.

I wanted to give a one star rating so badly. However, the service supervisor (Bobby) made sure I left happy so I will leave it at five stars. To make a long story short, I lost the fob to my 2016 4Runner while visiting NC. I was locked out and had to be towed to this dealership, 65 miles in the opposite direction of home (Atlanta), in order to have a new key made. The tow truck driver was very nice and accommodating. He knew I had been waiting outside all day for the tow truck to get to me. So, the tow truck driver offers to drop me off at the hotel I needed to book for the night because the dealership was already closed. The tow truck driver said he would then go unload my vehicle in the "service department" parking lot. First thing the next morning, I call to make sure the dealership is aware that my vehicle is on their lot. Ms. PEDI answers and says if I didn't leave keys in the overnight dropbox, they wouldn't have been aware that my vehicle was there... Well, I didn't have keys to put in a dropbox. She says, "Well, we have 600 cars on this lot and I don't know where your car is. Have the tow truck driver call me." I text her request and direct phone number that she provided to the tow truck driver and his dispatcher. I tried calling her back on the direct line three times, no answer. I call the dealership four to five times, no response. I called AGAIN and was told a manager was looking into it and would call me back in five minutes. An hour later, still nothing. I then had to check out of my hotel room (11am). I took an Uber to the dealership. It took me five seconds of being at the dealership to find my vehicle! A male in the service department walked me right to a desk... MS. PEDI! As soon as he started telling her what I needed, she already knew exactly who I was. Her face said it all. She's still swearing up and down she wouldn't have been able to find my 4Runner and asked me to "walk her out to it". As seen in the attached pictures (State's Exhibit A and B 😉), you could literally see my car from her desk. It is now 1130. She then says it'll be an hour and a half to complete. I wait. With a 6yo. 1 o'clock, 1:30, 2 o'clock. I asked for a supervisor and this is when Bobby came and saved my day. As I told Bobby, they may not have known it was there overnight. And they may not have known it was there at 7am when they opened. But at 830am, when I called, Ms. Pedi should have taken ownership of the problem. It should not have taken my leaving a hotel, getting an Uber to some place I have never been, and pointing out my own car on your lot to your staff before they were able to find it. We are in NC in the middle of a Wednesday; my car is the ONLY one here with a Georgia license plate! The slightest bit of effort, problem solving skills, and/or critical thinking, would have spared this situation from spiraling. Thank you, Bobby, for having a great attitude, integrity, and the ability to critically think.

The staff are very courteous and respectful. My vehicle is always well cared for. My only complaint is the extremely long wait times for service, regardless of having a scheduled appointment. Today was the shortest wait I have had, and it was still 1and 1/2 hours. Most of the time is is well over 2 hours, and I have waited for over 4. Today my car sat in front of an empty alignment bay for 30+ minutes before they found a technician available to check my alignment. I requested an alignment check when I made the appointment, and I feel that there should have been someone readily available to perform this task. Overall, I like Fred Anderson. I just hope they can improve the wait times for simple services.

Communication from sign in to service was good. What I Really loved was the video the tech shot both under the hood and under the car. This will go a long way in developing a great deal of trust between the customer and service dept. I will be using these folks again for specialty work I can't get done anywhere else. They are professional and congenial. Prices however, are considerably higher than you would pay at your local mechanics.

Went in for a scheduled 5,000 mile oil change and tire rotation. It took over 2 hours! Not impressed with the wait time. I was quoted 30 minutes to 1 hour. And it was well over 2 hours. In the past it would take 20 minutes and done. Fast, professional, on time. And an enjoyable experience. I would rate 5☆ not sure why this last time wasn't up to par.

I was very pleased with the service from start to finish. Toyota sent someone to pick up my car from my place of work at 10 a.m. The work - mounting and balancing a new set of 4 tires, 4-wheel alignment, oil change and 40,000 mile service - was completed and the car returned to me by 3 p.m. The total cost was about $760. Very reasonable for the amount of work done. Shelby, the service department representative assigned to me, walked me through the entire process and kept me informed as to how the work progressed. She was knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and patient, answering all my questions and addressing all my concerns. I highly recommend the Fred Anderson Toyota of Asheville service department.

We were on our way home to SC when the car started making a weird noise. This place was kind enough to squeeze is in last minute so we could get it fixed before driving the 3 hours home. One star deduction for a lame waiting area with a broken coffee machine. But great customer service and we made it home without further issue.

I went in for my 30,000 mile service, not really sure what that included. It was basically oil change, tire rotation, a couple of air filters, and an alignment if necessary. Colby was my service technician and he was excellent! He helped me understand what was being done and perhaps what services I needed and which ones are I didn’t right now. I also had a discount postcard that he applied and I saved additional money that way. I felt like he was honest with me about my time investment while I was there waiting on the vehicle and what was necessary to be done while I was there. It’s nice to be able to trust someone regarding car maintenance. Not a seasoned veteran there!

I have used two Fred Anderson Toyota’s (Asheville and Columbia) and both are generally very similar though Columbia’s facility is a more modern design. Asheville took care of me today and scheduled me yesterday afternoon for my appointment today, even though the website wouldn’t let me choose it, I was assured it would be 90 minutes or less- it was 75 minutes. They are taking extra precautions due to the pandemic with a thin courtesy plastic cover to protect anything they would ordinarily touch inside of your vehicle, which I was pleased to see. All in all it was a good service, consistent with what I’ve come to expect over the past two years.

I had an appointment and I was helped immediately when I arrived. Mike did a great job of getting the car repair that I had asked for. One thing had not been completed and he made sure that all was completed before the job was considered finished. I was able to leave sooner than the predicted time. I sat outside in the shade on the porch and had a pleasant breeze during the time I had to wait. I had a great experience getting a 50,000 mile service on my car.

Great customer service. The service took longer than they had estimated due to a rotor issue. My advisor, Colby, diagnosed the problem was due to a previous brake job i had through them and adjusted the cost accordingly. Overall very pleased!

They did a followup diagnostic; I had one done in Miami a year ago. Making the appointment was easy, and when I arrived on time this morning, the Service Consultant, Tyler, took excellent to listen to my concerns and note them and took care to explain what would be done which also included checking, rotating and balancing the tires. Furthermore, he reminded me of a recall that I hadn’t addressed and he took care of I that. Excellent and Professional Servive as well as friendly.

I called at 8:30 this morning to get my very first 5,000 mile oil change on my 2020 Toyota Corolla. The very sweet and professional young lady who answered the phone gave me an option to bring it in at 9:15. I asked for a later time, she offered 1:30. This was perfect, good thing for me because I was at 4990 and couldn't wait another day. My fault I know I'm a limit pusher obviously. Lol I couldn't remember if she gave me a time of 1 or 1:30 so I got there at 12:50 and was just gonna drop it off and come back when they had time to get to it since I was early. The young lady stated it may take 90 minutes when I spoke with her on the phone so I made arrangements to just leave it. An extremely nice gentleman greeted me when I pulled in and asked a few questions and showed me inside to finish the process. I spoke with Phillip inside and he asked a few more questions. He asked if I was going to wait and I said no just let me know when it's done and I will come back and get it. I left with my ride, went to the store, drove back home. As I was pulling in to the driveway I get a text my car is ready. LESS THAN 30 MINUTES people. I was shocked. I have NEVER been anywhere and got my oil changed and all the other things they checked in under 30 minutes. These guys are on their game. I am forever a customer of this dealership. I didn't even buy my car from them, but I will most definitely be buying from them if I buy a new car in the future. Way to go guys, you all should be very proud to work for an amazing dealership. From the moment I called to schedule my oil change to the moment I was checked in and taken to Randy to give my information; every single person was kind and professional. While sitting waiting on my oil change more than 2 people got snippy and all out rude to 2 members of the Fred Anderson staff and not once were they greeted with anything other than an understanding approach and warm smile. It was quick and I got treated like i was the most important customer there. I called 2 hours before to schedule my 5000 mile service and they worked me in. I live over an hour away and was unexpectedly in the area. And the mechanic sent me a detailed video of what he was checking on my Camry. That was a first.

Not sure why we make appointment times when it has no effect on timely service or getting you through more quickly. I picked the earliest time that they make available and yet when I arrive 15 minutes before that time there were many people already there and cars in the service bays. I will just show up well before 7 AM next time.

Very professional!! The inspection video was absolutely amazing. To see for myself what is happening beneath the hood and body of the vehicle was so helpful. Kevin was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The service was completed quickly, and the complementary Lyft ride home and back was really nice.

They send you a video of what is being done to your vehicle while you wait. Excellent service. Really impressed me. Service was performed much quicker than expected (I was told it would be an hour but they were finished in barely 30 minutes). The 2 missing stars was due to the gentleman inside not listening to what I did (and didn't) want with my service today and being quite pushy with his own preferences. I finally just said whatever, do what you want to keep from holding the line up anymore. My recommendation would be that if you offere service and the customer says 'not today' that you respect that. Especially when it's an oil change that isn't due for another 3k miles 😑

The service was good, my 11:30 appointment for oil change tire rotation and inspection took about 2 hours. Not ideal for express. The same service should take about 30-45 minutes. I’ve had positive experiences with the service here and this may have been just this visit, but I will most likely not be waiting with the family for future service.

Longer wait than usual. The customer service tech had gone to lunch and the other techs didn't process my paperwork. After 20 minutes of my truck being outside the service area, I inquired about why I hadn't been called. This is the only time this has happened, but you ask me to rate my experience. Five stars out of ten. One hour and a half for an oil change.

This was my first time at the dealership, and I absolutely loved the systems they have in place—they sent me a link to a diagnostic video and made the payment/pickup system so easy and automated. Everything was done via text, so I could pick up my car when I wanted and didn’t even have to wait in line to get my keys! It was great, and I will be happy to continue using this dealership.

I have been going to Fred Anderson Toyota for years++++++, My 2008 Toyota Corolla is impeccably maintained now at 208,000 miles. When I leave I know the job has been done right and would not hesitate to drive this car across the country if I needed to.
My recent experience was much the same, even though just an oil change, and tire rotation,(no charge for rotation since tires were bought at Fred Anderson Toyota)the alignment was checked but there was no charge since it did not require an alignment.
My service advisor took time with me as I have decided to get a 1997 Camry that has been in a garage on the road.
My Service advisor was Steven De Rego, He detailed everything that is recommended for this car. He was very professional in every aspect of my visit.
I would highly recommend Fred Anderson Toyota.

I received a service video below during my visit. It’s like getting a personal, virtual doctor’s check up on your vehicle. What a difference! And yes, I bought the battery.
Tire rotation and battery installation took about an hour, which seemed reasonable. After I paid, Paige led me out to the car, wiped down everything, changed the reminder sticker and reset the maintenance reminder (always wondered how to do that!).
The innovation was amazing. The service writer couldn’t have been nicer, more efficient or more safety-minded. So glad I bought a Highlander from them!

This place is super professional and they run things like a well-oiled machine, which is apt since they service motor vehicles. When you come in for service, they update you with text messages on the progress and send a video of the service they conducted. If they think they need to perform additional service, they send you link to approve it on your mobile device to speed up the whole process. This place is great.

After engine light went on, I made an appointment online for the following day. On a second thought, I decided to call and see if they had any openings left (around 2:30pm at this point). There were two left and I took the last one they offer for the day (3:45). Alas, after the diagnostics test, we found out the water pump had broken. Byron, who attended me, was kind, prompt, and all around great professional support. He worked with me and my car’s warranty to ensure the repair was covered. ....So why the 4 stars??
Well, of note, Colby was a very accommodating and friendly Service Center Rep. However, in his ambition to please, he neglected to write down my exact request, wrongly informing the service tech, and charging me $23 for an issue that wasn't corrected (removing the door ajar alarm). I was disappointed to arrive home and realize I had been charged, yet my issue remained. I contacted Colby and was told to come back at my convenience. They got me right in, but the issue couldnt be resolved - fair enough - and I was refunded my money... I appreciated their sincerity in correcting the issue and ensuring I was satisfied, although it was inconvenient to have to return to the dealership a second time. In your effort to please, I recommend slowing down and being thorough in recording customer requests to avoid this kind of miscommunication in the future. Overall, thanks for the friendly customer service!

Use to be a nice place to go. Just like all the rest of the dealers. . Busy busy busy. There is no time to go that it's not. Plan on waiting 4 + hours for anything. That's just the way it is now.

Went in for initial service for my vehicle. After dropping my truck off they called an hour or so later and explained that they just received word they had a Covid case in the shop and my truck might possibly not get the service it needed until the next day. I explained that we traveled 1-1/2 hours to get there and preferred not to come back the next day. Tyler understood and a few hours later my truck was done. Very happy with all at Fred Anderson Toyota!!!

People are always friendly and helpful. Since new owner took over most of the things we loved about the place that brought my house hold back for all our new and used cars has changed. What set them aside and made them different from other places left with Jim Barkley. Now the deals are not as good. Every time you always something needing fixed on changed even on our newest 2018 car? Offers not as good. Don't get the loyalty $500 discount till after 40,000 miles for training with them again. If you have the free oil changes and you buy tires you can't get free tire rotation with new set of tires. Not sure next time we buy new or used cars if we will come back here. Not much different than all the others now. All about the money. Not about the customers as before.

I have always used Fred Anderson Toyota for service and repairs and have always received superior service from the mechanics and every employee there. They are doing a great job with covid safety measures and I felt secure about waiting on premises.

I really enjoyed my experience at Fred Anderson Toyota for the most part! My advisor (Phillip) was just a joy to work with, and even managed to get some money back on some of the services. The only area where there was any trouble was the service department. They nearly sent me out with a tail light out (which Phillip pointed out to them, and so they rectified the situation before I left), and then they DID let me leave without having installed my new battery. Phillip called within about 5 minutes of me having left, and apologized profusely. We turned around and it was dealt with quickly, but I was disappointed that the service department seemed to not have the same attention to detail as my advisor did. All in all, it was a good experience and I would return in the future if I were in Asheville... I would just also be certain to double check that all of the jobs were actually completed.

I was very impressed with their precautions relating to COVID-19. They wore masks, gloves, and used wipes when exchanging paperwork, etc. with me—and when possible, maintained 6 feet of social distance. There was a shady place to sit outside, so I did not have to hang out in the waiting room, which for me was a big plus.
I have been using them for years and have always found them to be reliable and professional. This was frosting on the cake.

I went there without an appointment. They took me in within a short time of my arrival. They looked my car over, topped off fluids, and checked my battery. The battery was checked by two different service areas. The battery was bad. I only had it about 14 months so they replaced it with no charge.

Dropped vehicle off at 8:30AM in the morning for a new set of tires, oil change, NC inspection, and new battery. Didn’t get called back until close to 4:15pm to discuss some additional repairs that were recommended after inspection. After discovering these repairs couldn’t be done until the following day, I decided to get my car. This was around 5:30pm when they got finished. They ordered a Lyft car to pick me up and bring me back to the dealership to pick up my car. After waiting 15-20 minutes, I suddenly get a text message that my Lyft ride has been canceled. Fearing I was stuck and wouldn’t be picked up to get my car, I call the service rep to get clarification as to why my ride was canceled. After leaving a message and no call back, I reluctantly called my wife who is in route home and ask her to circle back (major inconvenience since she is trying to get home with our 4 month old) and pick me up. While she is coming to get me, I get a random call from someone who is at my office to pick me (not Lyft). I realize it’s someone from the dealership and so I have to call my wife and tell her to abort mission. I get driven back to dealership, pay my bill, and pick up my truck around 6-6:15pm in the evening. So, basically, while everything was repaired satisfactory, it took all day and communication regarding transportation was very unacceptable. Strongly recommend service department do a better job of communicating with customer status of both the repairs and on transportation to and from dealership. Also, if repairs are going to take from 8:30am to 5:30pm, need to communicate this to customer (if possible).

I was disappointed in the somewhat spotty attention to Covid safety precautions. There were no signs encouraging or requiring mask use. Entry to the service desk area required passing through a gauntlet of unmasked customers seated immediately outside the entrance door. While the service reps were partially separated by plexiglass, one had his mask below his chin while his adjacent coworker was interacting with me. Some customers and several sales people in the building didn’t have masks on at all. I was, however, pleased that my exit service rep walked me to my car, where he wiped down the interior and exterior contact surfaces with a disinfectant.
