Quarter Dough

I was searching for shops that could help me out with a windshield replacement and a door latch issue. I had gone to another location beforehand, and they were trying to charge me an outrageous amount. It was a complete scam. However, Fernandez Used Auto Glass gave me the best deal on the repairs I needed and were super informative of why certain issues occur and how they would be handling both my repairs. They gave me estimates before even needing to bring in my vehicle and were very honest and straightforward that prices may change if the issue is bigger than they originally thought. They fixed both my issues at a reasonable price, and they were able to get my vehicle back to me the same day. ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND THEM! 11 OUT OF 10! I will always be taking my business to them!

Couldn’t be happier. I had a large crack on my windshield after it got hit by a rock on the expressway. I brought my car in to get looked at at 9am on a Monday, and they had the replacement in by 11:45am. They offered to do it same day but it was better for my schedule to come back the next morning. Dropped it off at 9:15am it was ready by 11:30. The price is as at least half of 2 other quotes I got. 10/10!

If some a$$hole decides to pull the good ol' smash n' grab on your car, like they did me, go to Fernandez auto glass. As I made my way down the google results, as I searched "fix my car window near me", I realized just how much of a complete rip off EVERYwhere else truly is. With Safelite quoting me almost $600, and others quoting me between $400-$500, imagine the joy of being told you can get the job completely done, same day with no appointment, and for only $150! The work was top notch as was the service and friendliness! These guys even vacuumed up all the remaining broken glass pieces without me asking, which was the final nail in the proverbial coffin of these guys sealing a 10000/5 star rating from me. Do yourself a favor and go here! Hopefully I never have to go back, but if I ever have to deal with broken car glass again, I'll be going here 100%.

This place is TOP TIER!! My boyfriend had his side window smashed in and they were able to replace it for less than $150 in under an hour! They were kind enough to clean all the glass out the carpets and rearrange the papers that had been rummaged through during the break in. Went above and beyond! When we lived in Chicago, unfortunately the building's garage kept getting broken into. Luckily another resident recommended Fernandez's place. Every time the garage got broken into, a bunch of us would call up Fernandez's, make sure they had our vehicle's window in stock and head over. Super quick and super cheap. So much better than using insurance and having your rate go up every few months. They should probably have a flyer for the business in every garage in Chicago. Highly recommended by multiple residents of the same apartment building.

Very nice people. They did a great job replacing my windshield. But I couldn’t give them higher than 3 stars unfortunately. I had called a few days ahead of time to check the price. The lady had estimated a total of $180, which was very similar to the price multiple people mentioned in the google reviews. But when I got there, they changed the cost to $275 I asked why but there was no explanation. At that point, I had already taken time off of work to come here and get this fixed so I couldn’t shop around.

My rear window was smashed after a break in—brought it in late afternoon, they had the replacement window in stock, & had it ready before they closed. Most recently I needed a new windshield installed for a crack that developed on my Jeep. I stopped in thinking I’d pick it up the next day but to my surprise they had it done within an hour!

I brought my car in after someone graciously smashed a metal pole through my drivers side front window and Fernandez Used Auto Glass replaced it with a laminated glass window like I had previously and even fixed my door handle, seat belt buckle AND vacuumed not only the broken glass but also the sunflower seeds I spilled all for $180. Everyone who works there is extremely helpful and nice especially Rosa who answers the phones in the office!

I got my car window smashed in during the middle of the day. I called around to a bunch of places in Lincoln Park and they all had estimates of over $250 for a repair and it wouldn’t be done until the next day. Fernandez not only had a MUCH lower price but they were able to accommodate me right away. They had my part and they told me it would be 1 hour and 15 minutes. They were right on time, very helpful and very efficient. I would HIGHLY recommend Fernandez Auto!

They got my quarter panel glass fixed on my 2015 Dodge Journey which shattered from a rock hitting it the day before. The shop was busy and yet still managed to take care of everyone in a timely fashion, the parts are well stocked and my windshield was installed quickly and very pleased with the overall experience! Prices are reasonable for out-of-pocket service, would definitely go back for any window or mirror repair in the future. I seriously can't see why someone would post a negative review, this place is no frills and probably could use a front desk person. But not complaining, service and value for the repair was where it should be!

Great place! Someone had busted my passenger side window on my '99 Lexus GS300 overnight and I needed my window fixed ASAP so that I could go to work! Gave them a call and was informed they could have it done right away and it would only be $80. Took it over, walked across the street to eat, and when I came back it was done! They even cleaned up every single piece of glass that was around and under my seat. I definitely recommend this place.

Some one threw a rock at my 1994 Yukon and shattered my large Quarter window. I was afraid I would have to pay a fortune to replace it. I first called Grand Auto Glass but they didn't have the glass in stock. They referred me here being in the same family. They had my window in stock and put it in no appointment needed! I came here to replace the windshield on my 1997 Nissan Maxima back in December of 2016 as I had gotten and ticket and had to go to court. I called first to make sure they had the part and got an estimate.They did a great job at fixing it withing a quick and reasonable time. They do take a long time to come to the office, so you have to be patient or try calling them through the door to the work area. But overall they do good quality work and if I ever needed more work done I would gladly come back

Best experience i ever had going to a car shop. Waiting room was ok, but the service was excellent. I had a bad cracked windshield so i requested a quote. I had a great price for a used one witch looks like brand new. They finished in 1 hr and the got the city sticker back(saves about 10 dlls) and they also replaced my rear view mirror for free. I was pleasant amaze about the whole experience and i only had to pay 110 dlls for my 2001 ford focus. the location is convenient, just 3 blocks off the highway. So i would defenetley recommend Fernandez auto. Thank you

A crack appeared across my entire windshield on Friday, the weekend before Christmas with snow and subzero temperatures forecast. I absolutely dreaded calling around getting quotes and prayed that I not only could find a place that had my windshield in stock but could also get it repaired the very next day. Then I remembered this place that I had used many years ago and WOW am I glad that I did. The next morning I called and got a quote for $130 for a used replacement. Dropped it off at 12:30 PM and by 2:30 PM same day my windshield was installed and I happily drove off. Just like I was quoted over the phone it cost me $130 plus tax. What's really nice is that there's a theater just across the street and you can go watch a movie while your car is being repaired. I just wish I could've given the movie five stars too, but at least I got a nap in.

Im a ride share driver and needed my car back quick. Back windshield broke from a storm, called up 2 other places and said it would take 2 days. In an out within 1 hour. great prices. I was there because I went to Mexican ND son and they didn't close my Front hood down. When I eat down the ramp the hood fly up when merging left to get on way. Scared my day lights out. I called Mexican and son and told them what happened and they told me I pulled up my hood and thy are not helping to buy new window. I called the police to get help and they helped me to safety. I got a referral to go to this glass shop. Wouldnt u know it. Less than a day later Im driving on LSDaka lake shore drive and a truck that isn't even supposed to be on There hit a bump in the road and a rock from the truck the size of a dime hit me front window where the rear view mirror is and cracked left to my steering wheel. Long story to say now I have to go back and get another Window. But this time I seeing if they have safety glasses for my window invade this happens again. Indeed

I read the 5 previous reviews and thought I would give these guys a shot. My car got broke into through passenger window the night previous. These guys had it fixed within an hour. I got two quotes prior to calling Fernandez. Fernandez quoted half the price of the previous two, and then came in $20 dollars cheaper than they quoted! Also, they were very friendly. Only down side is that there is broken glass in a few areas, and I was wearing flip flops. That's probably my lack of common sense going to a glass repair shop in sandals however. It's probably impossible to keep up w/ sweeping it aside when they have cars with broken windows continually coming in.
