I had the pleasure and good fortune of being represented by lawyers on the personal injury team at this firm. I was referred to them by a family member for help with a personal injury matter. The attorneys assigned to my case were personable, highly competent, efficient and frank. They gave me realistic expectations about the possible outcomes of my case and constantly updated me as we moved through the process. When the defendant's attorneys submitted an unacceptable settlement offer, my team at Price Benowitz quickly called to inform me of said offer and strongly urged me to reject it. I followed their advice without hesitation and am so glad I did. The defendant's lawyers were not willing to offer a more reasonable settlement, so a trial date was set for my case, but I was told that I would have to appear at a deposition prior to that. My lead attorney at Price Benowitz took the time to thoroughly prepare me for the deposition and was a reassuring force in the room with me throughout the entire session. A few weeks after the deposition, the defendant's attorney's reached out to the team at Price Benowitz to discuss a more "reasonable" settlement offer. Much to my surprise, the amount of the new offer was nearly three times more than the original offer and was more than fair. This is the first online review I've written but I was so impressed by the attorneys at Price Benowitz that I wanted to post something. I don't have much stomach for lawyers or litigation but I was injured and got referred through two different friends. The preparation for my case was amazing. I hired Price Benowitz LLP to represent me in Fairfax County General District Court. Meghan Gosline was my lawyer and did an excellent job representing me. From the beginning she laid out logically how she thought my case would go and she delivered a great result. I was cited under the new Move Over Law that went in affect in Virginia in July 2019. If you haven’t read it, go read it. It makes a violation a reckless driving charge, which is a Class I misdemeanor. Now, there is a Part B that is just a traffic infraction and originally I thought I could prepay the fine, which is what the police officer told me. But the new law does not allow prepayment and you must go to court. Reading into the law and what is considered emergency vehicles, I felt that the officer had incorrectly charged me with an infraction instead of reckless driving and was worried if I went to go court without a lawyer something would happen that I couldn’t protect myself. This is a real scenario that could have played out. The gentleman’s case just before me had the officer amend his charges during the hearing before the judge. I had already thought I made a wise decision hiring Meghan Gosline, but when that happened I knew I had. To wrap this up, Meghan was able to negotiate my charge down to Failure to Pay Full-time Attention, a $50 fine without any points assessment. If you need a lawyer, I wouldn’t hesitate to hire the firm Price Benowitz or Meghan Gosline.

When I slipped on gravel, wrapped my car around a utility pole, and cracked my pelvis in three places, Montgomery County saw my life-threatening tragedy as their financial opportunity. The county pursued a litany of extraneous charges against me, and I found myself facing the threat of incarceration from my hospital bed (I should note that I wasn't drunk, and my car/body were the only things damaged/injured in the accident). Signing my Price Benowitz representation agreement was quite possibly the best decision I've ever made. My attorney, Seth Okin, along with Robert Espinosa and his entire client management team were exceedingly courteous, competent, and professional. They told me not to worry about the charges until my court date; they told me to focus on physically, mentally, and emotionally recovering, and that's what I did. Seth Okin entered an appearance on my behalf, and I spent months in PT relearning how to walk, slowly but steadily graduating from bed to wheelchair to walker to crutches. By the time my court date arrived, roughly four months after my accident, I was able to walk into the courthouse on a cane. I was greeted by Seth Okin, whose mastery of Maryland traffic statute and close professional relationships with members of the criminal justice system at all levels enabled him to negotiate a very favorable plea agreement on my behalf. If I had the ability to grant ten stars for Mary Nerino, ESQ I would without even thinking twice. After being told my two former lawyers, that I should just settle my driving ticket for jail time and a large fine. Mary said, "NEVER." Mary hunted down all of my medical paperwork, notes from doctors and went head-to-head with the DA. She took my calls late at night, as I stirred waiting for the outcome.
