I decided to hire Isaac and Isaac law firm back in 2014 from an accident I was in at work when the vehicle I was driving was hit by a speeding dump truck that ran the red light. I contacted them a few months after the accident and they took my case and started working on it immediately. I had the pleasure with an employee by the name of Connie who did my intake on Wednesday, May 26,2021. I as sitting at a stoplight in back of a semi - trailer waiting for the light to change. I was rear ended by a School bus. The bus hit my car with so much force the front end of my car rammed into the back of the semi. My air bag blew out with smoke and I tried to get out of the car for fear it would catch on fire. The semi driver and a pedestrian ran over to my car to see if I was ok. The bus driver back the bus up at an angle instead of him leaving it attached to the rear end of my car. The pedestrian called the police while the semi driver stood by me . The bus driver never got out the bus to see if I was ok. EMS came, stop my leg from bleeding and put me on the stretcher. My brother arrived and was talking to the witnesses. While I was in the ambulance this one policeman (who was not on the scene until later) approached me in the ambulance and asked me if I switched lanes and I said I was standing still at the stoplight when I was hit. I had switch into the left lane a block away. I take this route to work every single day. Mind up the bus driver still never got out of the bus. My brother heard the pedestrian tell the police he could give a statement because he saw what happened. The policeman told him they won't need it because it was a " cut and dry case." When I got to the emergency room I heard someone outside my room saying, " she was in an accident" so the hospital staff let this same policeman who questioned me in ambulance in my room. This IMPD policeman asked me again, You sure you didn't switch lanes! I told him I told you back at the accident I switch lanes a block away before I got to the stoplight. He looked at me real hard and left. The police report was written that I cut in front of the bus and it was my fault. This policeman was trying to create this illusion of me cutting in front of the bus, while not taking any of the other witnesses statements because this opens up the city for a potential lawsuit. I hope the City don't forget to paint some skids marks on the street where the bus should have hit his brakes because there is none. Also I thought the bus driver received special treatment being that he sat behind the wheel of the bus after the accident and never moved from his seat. Connie could tell I was hurt physically and frustrated at the way this accident is being spinned to avoid paying any damages. I felt very comfortable talking to her and after awhile I did calm down.
