I have been disabled my whole life due to mental and physical illness. I first applied in September 2017, and was denied. I appealed their decision, and was denied once again. I applied again in October 2020! I contacted Shannon, and she was on my case. I was denied initially, but we went to the reconsideration hearing, and she addressed just the right issues and really zoned in on addressing those important issues for the hearing. After my final hearing (November 1st 2022) , I was approved in a week (November 8th 2022) and had my PERC interview on the spot! I’m owed 3.5 years of back pay for SSDI, and 2 years for SSI. and I should be receiving my first payment in less than 2 weeks. A huge thank you to Shannon and Schott Mauss and Associates for getting me approved and being there to answer my questions along the way. My family will be forever grateful.

I have to say this is long overdue. I first contacted Shott Mauss at the end of March of 2014 (I said it is long overdue) to represent me while filing for SSDI. They were very professional and helpful. Also very thorough. I received my SSDI approval and back pay check the first week of July 2014. No first denial. No hearing. What I had to pay out of my back pay was worth every penny. I have recommended them many times.
