Absolutely fantastic job!! Couldn’t be happier. Gary was able to define things very well and break things down in terms that I could understand. Christy was phenomenal!! The services I received from Lisa were phenomenal. I really felt like I had a team to take with me to court, and she really let me go in the direction I wanted with my custody and divorce case. The process was long because of the respondent, but Lisa was flexible and checked in regularly to find out what I wanted. She did a great job of staying in touch, and was understanding about the family matters pertaining to my case. Nov 2019 until March 2021, and without the help of Lisa and her team, I'm sure this relief just wouldn't be possible.

Overall my review is kind of lengthy. If you don’t want to read just know two thumbs up. This family law office is compassionate about their jobs. They will listen and they will make sure you are heard legally. I reached out to Family Law Solutions October 2020 for a family matter case. I originally spoke with Gary Hill and he decided Lisa Nobel would be fit for my family’s situation. I contacted many law firms in the hopes of filing Termination of Parental Rights. This is the only firm that I felt truly listened to my situation. I knew after speaking with Lisa I wouldn’t need to speak to anyone else. She has a stern voice, and is persistent. She is exactly what I needed. They also worked with me financially. They was able to offer me a contracted payment. I appreciate more than I can put into words. Over the seven months of working with this law firm they have been phenomenal. I want to add that it took seven months only because originally I had Lisa file for sole custody because I wasn’t sure if I could afford to file for TPR (again they worked with me), the respondent asked for more time, as well as, we all had to agree on dates. Otherwise I believe our case would have been done in about 9 weeks. Lisa couldn’t have done any better with our situation. Honestly. Every time we went in-front of the judge she would make sure what needed to be understood in my family’s case was heard. Lisa, Jessa and Christy are nothing short of a fantastic team. Anytime I had a question or concern they made sure they gave me an answer in a timely manner. They made sure that I always knew my options of any possible outcome. They made me feel comfortable during this process. I will always, always recommend this team of wonderful individuals for any family matter. If I may add, Lisa won my case. If you are looking for a team that will listen to your situation, your children’s needs, then go in front of a judge like it’s their personal situation and show compassion being a family lawyer-this is your place! 10/10 recommend!!

Gary gives a good sales pitch. Don't be deceived. He advertised a flat rate, but will not return your calls nor response to your input. Once he gets your money, forget about it. He has an assistance who is rude. He does not know Iowa divorce Iowa law. Another attorney will eat him up in the courtroom. He was a prosecutor attorney in Texas and claims that for experience in divorce proceedings. It took him over 6 months for him to do anything for me, especially alimony. I think these positive reviews are fakes and written by paid associates.

I hired Gary for my divorce. They charged me a flat fee and set me up on a payment plan I could afford. Gary and Lisa were with me taking me through step by step and communicated very well with me. My ex wanted child support and alimony ASAP, so she filed for temporary matters. Lisa plead my case to the judge, the judge took 2 months to make a decision and it came back completely in my exes favor. The judge didn’t even review the details of the case and just wanted it off her desk. They came up with a new plan of attack and we were able to settle in final mediation with no alimony and less child support. With the temporary matters ruling I owed $6,000 in back child support and they got that lessened and on a payment plan I can afford. They also got me more time with my kids. I am so happy with every part of this process and would absolutely recommend them to anyone going through this. These guys were amazing to work with!!

Before I start this I want you to know that I am very high maintenance and a tough reviewer. I did hours of reading reviews prior to selecting Family Law Solutions of Iowa. Here is my list on why this is the best family law firm in Central Iowa. 1. EXPERIENCE - They only do family law and are highly specialized in this one area. Gary has been doing this for multiple decades. I am a bit of a know it all, when I doubted what I was advised he proved me wrong every time. 2. VALUE - This was a flat fee divorce. I paid a low flat fee and they negotiated as much as necessary to get to a place I needed to be with my divorce. 3. RESPONSIVE - The team was very responsive answering all my inquiries in a timely manner. Pretty impressive for how busy 2020 has been for divorce lawyers. 4. ETHICAL - They do the right thing. I never got the impression that they were trying to squeeze money out of me by taking this thing to trial. I have heard bad stories regarding this behavior from other reviews for other attorneys in the area. At Family Law Solutions of Iowa they will advise you to do what's best for you! If you are unfortunate enough to have to get a divorce this is the place to go.

Family law solutions is one of best law offices to help you with family-custody matters. I worked very closely with Lisa and her paralegal Jessa for a year to get my matter dissolved. They helped me obtained everything I wanted and deserved by having very detailed and organized data for my hearings. They were very professional throughout the whole matter but also got to know me on a personal level. Personal level I think also helps in certain matters as it shows they truly care about the client and their situation which helps them gather a great case as they know who you truly are as a person. I would most definitely recommend this firm for your family-custody matters.

We won!!! Gary is a great lawyer and I can say I was blessed to have him represent me thru my custody battle. He represented me and stood up for me since I'm a Texas resident and the case was being held in Iowa. He took my case just by hearing me out thru a phone call. He was willing to give me payment arraignments. He worked weekends since I contacted him in such a short notice. Thank you Gary your just not a great lawyer, but a very humble human being. I came to Gary Hill and FLS Iowa and they was there for me. They stayed with me and played the long game. Gary Hill was so helpful and honest with me they did not look at me as a black man but just a regular person. Later the system treated me unfairly because of Race and Gary Hill was supportive and understanding of me because of how the system treating me unfairly because of my race. The firm and Gary Hill were angry at the system for treating me badly because of the race issue and i am Thankful that there are people like Gary Hill out there fighting for a person of color. What I like most about Gary Hill he did not see me or treat me differently as a person of color when I met him; but, after race became an issue, Gary Hill supported me aggressively until we prevailed – and race was not an issue and Gary Hill fought harder for me because of the race issue that emerged in the case.

While dealing a child support issue for the first time after my divorce, I contacted the firm for guidance and possible help! I was assigned an attorney by the name of Lisa! Our initial conversation went great and it made me feel like she was there to help. I was asked for a retainer and copy of the letter I received, which were provided immediately. She advised that she would contact DHS and work details on my behalf. From there the communication dropped and the calls and email responses from her stopped. After getting served by the state I finally reached my boiling point and called to cancel their services. DHS advised that no documents were ever received. In total I spoke with the attorney maybe 3 times. The DHS did more for me as they guided me on getting the right documents sent in and come to a solution that satisfied all parties. The firm kept half of my retainer and I received a call from a guy within the firm that tried to tell me documents were sent in, but I highly doubt they were ever sent. My case has been completed and I just wish I would of known what I know now. DSH is there to help both parties and do the right thing for everyone. Do not hire and attorney and do it on your own... save your money and the headaches from dealing with an attorney. ***Updated*** I received a call from Gary with the firm. He apologized for the lack of work with my case and offered a full refund of the retainer. I explained to him that I was not looking for any money or additional work. I was just very frustrated with the lack of support while the case was opened. He asked me questions about the process and determined that the only way to make it right would be to return my funds. He offered to send me a check and once again apologized for the lack of work. Not sure what his position is with the firm. I just wish I would of worked with him from the beginning. I can't say enough. I had been out of the country for two years when my marriage fell apart. My wife and I had a 3-year-old son between the two of us. I did not have high hopes that I would get primary custody, not to mention reasonable visitation. Thank God I got in touch with Ms. Noble. She understood right away that my son would not be in the best situation if left with his mother. Ms. Noble never waivered in advocating for sole custody to be awarded to me, even in opposition to a Court which saw things more traditionally. Despite an initial ruling that awarded me primary custody, but in other respects was very unfavorable, Ms. Noble worked tirelessly to convince the Court to reverse itself on some of the more onerous parts of its original ruling. She then continued to advocate for me and my son in the face of continued hostile legal maneuverings from my ex-wife. In the end, I am happy to say that I now have sole custody. Throughout, Ms. Noble conducted herself very professionally, but at the same time remained very personable. She always stayed positive and determined even in the face of what seemed to me to be some significant setbacks. I am ever grateful for the professional as well as personal interest she took in my case, and I have no reservation against recommending her to anyone in a similar position.
