I am so happy that I chose upright law to handle my bankruptcy case. Upright has a very efficient process of document collection via an awesome app that I could visit at anytime. I had a good feeling about them at the start with my first call, the specialist was nice and caring. I had a very good working relationship with my lawyer Roger H. great staff good people love it i would highly recomend. It took over a year but it was my fault. I didn't stay on top of things because my wife got sick and me just being lazy.. They still help me even though I was late with everything but everything worked out for me. I think upright law is just a company that points you in the right direction for a bankruptcy lawyer not an actual company that has lawyers. I could be wrong. My Lawyers name was Laura Fritz In Las Vegas and she was amazing! People that saying it take too long probably was their fault because bankruptcy needs a LOT of documents and is not easy and you have to stay on top of giving your lawyer all the correct documents because you basically dealing with the feds so everything has to be in order.

Hello to everyone who will be reading this post to decide whether or not to choose Upright Law. 1st I'm sorry to all who've had poor experience. My experience with the firm have been I great one both times my 1st interactive experience was only consultation but it pointed me in the right direction. the 2nd time I spoke with Paul, and this guy is a straight shooter. Which is why I decided to continue my journey with UprightLaw. His explanations of what I'm to expect, the process from beginning to end, if I decide on early termination of the process whether a refund is to be rewarded or not. I mean some terminology he used was beyond my intellect, so I asked if he could rephrase it, and he did it in way that allowed me grasped the situation . Now my assigned Attorney, I won't disclose his name, but he has 18+ years experience. When we first spoke, he explained the best POC method I should use to reach him or a member of his staff and all has worked great for me. I'm currently on pace to finish payments 2 months ahead of schedule, complete my remaining 3 courses, and submit to my Attorney all documents he'll need via email. I STRONGLY STAND BEHIND UPRIGHTLAW! And I hope whoever reads this would too as well. P.S. Please understand that these Advocates and Attorneys use Law terminology, So if there is something you don't understand. JUST ASK, & I PROMISE YOU THEY WILL RE-PHRASE THINGS & UPRIGHT, PLEASE understand that a lot of us don't have law degrees or the manuals, So Try & water down some of your LAW words. My experience went according to the expectations they provided. I went on a payment plan and was informed that once I was done paying, the work would truly begin. My lawyer communicated exactly what was needed. We went through the process in a timely manner and we went through my petition in detail. Process was painless minus gathering all the paperwork but that was expected!! Please don't take the reviews about the refund process as a representation of what this company does. Please also note that one should not expect to "file" until you have paid in full. Job well done!

I had a good experience with upright law. I was a little saddened to know that the lawyer who does all the work gets a fraction of the money they normally would get not going through upright. But the ability to pay 50 bucks every two weeks till the full amount was paid was nice for someone where money was limited. But I would still recommend going directly to the lawyer first but all in all upright did it’s job

I was very hesitant about filing bankruptcy and did extensive research on Attorneys, because there is many firms out there that just want to take your money. I came across Upright law and contacted them. My representative was a gentleman named Daniel and he was awesome. He talked me through the whole process and did not try to hurry me off the phone. He addressed every question I had and explained it in detail. Through the whole process, I was able to call him (and all the other upright law members) if I had any questions. The actual Attorney Andrea was just as great. I had a little glitch in my papers, due to my own fault and I was worried that it would halt my bankruptcy process. Andrea immediately took care of this slight glitch and things went smooth as can be. Upright law and their representatives are friendly, professional and most helpful. They answered every single question I had. Eventually, I ended up going through with it and it has been, so far, one of the best decisions I have made. Once I made the first phone call, I was walked through each step of the bankruptcy. I was assigned to a lawyer who was located near me. I was set up with a payment plan and when my bill was paid, I was instructed to take a financial course which is mandatory. The course was great. You will have to get together financial paperwork and copies of your license, etc. I did this all over the internet because of the pandemic. I also met with the bankruptcy administrator over the internet, also. It was quite simple and after a few questions it was over and my bankruptcy was discharged about a month later. I received a letter informing me of this. Other than all the paperwork I had to get together and scan into my computer, it was a good and easy experience.

I had pressure of wage garnishments...Philip Johnson who represents upright law for initial contact to set up for services mislead me with my situation. He told me that if I "paid in full that day" which I did...they could instantly stop the garnishments. Well, let me tell you that is not true! In order to stop garnishment...the bankruptcy needs to actually be filed! I set up for services on 7-27-15 and it is 9-3-15 and they are just now getting to contact the attorney to push filing! If I had not been lied to initially...I would have been more aggressive calling each day to push my case through faster. I was patient, as I figured they could use a day or two to contact me back each time, due to the fact I know they are helping many people each day. Tip: make sure that you get your paperwork complied as fast as you can...so they can do their part to help you. They will give you a check list of what documents they need...ask for that list ASAP! Other than the initial misleading information from Philip...I have been very satisfied with my services with upright law. I would recommend them to others. I look forward to my new start after this is all done. Best of luck to those of you who read this...I hope that it helps you!

So far my experience has been very good. Every consultant I have spoken to has given me information that is clear and easy to understand. They have answered all my questions to my satisfaction. Everything was easy, but only concern or question was Upright said to pay this price to have a lawyer handle your case. Once I paid that amount I was contacted and got all the paperwork completed and filed. I noticed in the account Ledger that shows the payout I side I had to pay the lawyer another 1800 dollars and was never told about that ahead of time. Update: My case got filed but 2 months in the plan needs to be amended so I reached out to my lawyer for help and that process is terrible, I fill like once you file and get confirmed they are done with you. I would have paid more to get my case amended but nothing a emailed several times and nothing.

From the first time I spoke to them I have been very satisfied with their service. They were able to answer at questions I had. They then connected me with a local attorney to handle the bankruptcy. They said I should hear from him within a week. He called me within 24 hours! He also answered any questions I had and has been there thru the whole process. I contacted UpRight's Munster, IN. location. I spoke with a nice young man who went over everything while I was on the phone. He told me how much the payments would be and asked me if I wanted to proceed. He told me the attorney assigned would call me and he did just that. The lawyer that handled my case is out in Crown Point. They always answered the phone and he always called me whenever he was supposed. It took longer than I thought it should once I had paid in full. However, when I went before the Bankruptcy Judge this week everything went smooth! He had provided everything that was required and probably then some! So many people were there with their attorneys that didn't have all the paperwork on hand!

I went on the web to consider bankruptcy and this Law firm (Upright Law) contacted me by phone. I talked to a gentleman that gave me all the ins and outs of filing. We will be doing a chapter 7, and he was very helpful with what needed to be accomplished. Ron assigned me to an attorney in Olympia, which I have talked to and was also very friendly and helpful. They are friendly, helpful, and reassuring. When I call I get a live body not a machine and I like that most of all. We would recommend this firm to anyone. I'm sure the negative comments and reviews are from ppl that were not wanting to gather their own information (which was required), and submit it in a timely manner. I began paying in December 2020. I canceled my process (BECAUSE OF NEGATIVE REVIEWS), BUT I decided to try them for myself. I finished paying them in February 27,2020. My petition was filed April 28, 2020 (ONLY BECAUSE I HAD NOT FINISHED DOING WHAT I NEEDED TO DO AS FAR AS PAPERWORK). My petition was filed April 28, 2020. I began receiving car loan and home loan mail May 1st. I am very cautious with my actions now. Of course you have to wait until six months after discharge to rent to own. I chose to wait and purchase a home of my own instead of paying all this rent to others. I'm just trying to rebuild my credit first. My court date is set for June 11, 2020 and I can not say the process has been too long. They have PROMPTLY been on task and I am so grateful to follow my first mind and finish this process with UprightLaw! Torie and Sabrina, were AWESOME!!! Almost too good to be true, yet 100% for real. These guys are thorough, supportive, encouraging, knowledgeable, and RESPONSIVE. Their followup is truly second to none, I never felt like I was left hanging. The local partner attorney who took my case even told me he'd have charged a LOT more if I'd come to him directly, so their fee is apparently a steal. If you are considering a bankruptcy, I highly encourage you to at least fill out their intake form. They send you a really wonderful little e-book that was full of good information, and then call you to see if you have questions. I got lots of great advice and support from them long before I even agreed to pay any fees, and I'm so glad I ultimately chose them to represent me. The entire process went off without a hitch, and they called with my discharge notice today to see if I needed anything else or had any questions on life after bankruptcy, rebuilding credit, etc. Such an incredible weight lifted, and such a supportive team to guide me through it. So Far so good. I had a free consultation this morning around 8:15a with James. He was very honest, professional and direct. He never judged me and his tone was very friendly. I felt like I was talking to a friend that was knowledgeable and was in it to protect the "client." He informed me right away that although he was an attorney, he would not be the attorney appointed to me. He went over a questionaire that helped determine if I was a candidate that their firm could help (HE DID NOT AS FOR ANY MONEY BEFORE DOING THIS). He was also WILLING to answer any questions I had regarding the process I had before he collected the $100 fee. Now, in my case that $100 was a lot for me because I literally only had $114 to my name (which is $14 now because of the fee) but I am sharing this to say, I was willing to pay my last to work with this firm because they seem to have my best interest as a priority. Immediately, following my call with James he texted me his direct number, client service direct number and the creditor hotline direct number. James did ask questions - like what my profession was because I had so much debt but to me that wasn't a condesending question...he had to ask that in order to understand my situation. Also, as I explained to him me losing my job after I relocated, he asked me to clarify exactly what happened because he wanted to make sure my employer wasn't in the wrong here. I mean he was genuinely in my corner. So much so, that when we were setting up my payment plan (and yes, it is true he did allow me to determine what I could afford each month to pay toward my bankruptcy cost) he said he don't think it will take me the entire time to pay it off because he knows I will find a job before then - he wasn't trying to blow smoke because he said those words under his breath so I don't think he even know that I heard him- but just hearing the faith he had in me despite my current state - spoke volumes! Yes, I see the negative reviews but every circumstance is different. Laws vary by state and Upright law works across many states where the laws are different. I relocated to Texas from the state of Delaware in November 2018. James (while he had me on the phone) looked up the bankruptcy law in Delaware - although he already knew the law for Delaware because he had already spoke some of what he read to me out loud when pulled up the law to reference it - again, this was to make sure Upright was following the necessary laws governed by Delaware. And by the way, once you pay the $100, you can register for your upright law account and you can inform your creditors that you are working with upright law right away even though the filing didn't start and upright law will inform those creditors that they are representing you. This alone is A MAJOR PLUS! I highly recommend them and will post updated reviews throughout my process.

I googled the Upright Law AFTER I already signed up with them. If I had seen all of their reviews beforehand, I would have never signed up in the first place. But I give thanks to God because it turns out that I had made a right decision by using their law firm. The attorney that was assigned to my case was extremely personable and very knowledgeable about the law. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate my experience about a 10 (or maybe even an 11). We called in and requested help with bankruptcy, okay they took the information to get us started in the process meaning our banking info for auto payment to allot us time to pay the very large sum for them to assign an atty to file our request meanwhile supposedly keeping the creditors off our backs you know they tell you to give the collectors their number and you write letters informing the creditors they are handling your situation ya-ya-ya.... Newsbreak, collectors still call, At this time a great deal of time has pasted in our Pymt’s to the company and thru-out we have adjusted the amount here, there and there. Get this we requested a refund in February this year, here’s what I was given their so called client services team tell us a manager will give you a call back in 72hrs oh yes, this was in Janurary this year. Moving foward, I must have called back 2-3 time thereafter before finally getting a. response from the office. During this time I was informed that they would be returning EST. $600 or less of the $1600 I had already paid. I asked WHY are you taking so much from me for my return. they stated for the two minute call from the Atty and in that 2 min. call in which she states once your processing fee is paid I will contact you to retreive and file for the process. In addition, I was billed for calls to the client services . Here’s one for the books I called to adjust the amt. of various monthly Pymt’s ,,, and was never told I could go online to their website and adjust or skip a pymt for free. Then I was told I was charged for a file created. What file of my payments, my name and telephone number. In addition, Feb. 2019 I was told at the end of the day I would receive a check for $1000. within 30-45 days. No check, I called on the 30th day to to the start of being shafted week to week and still have not received my check . I asked to speak with the accounting dept. they couldn’t do that so give me the managing partner , V.P General counsel , operations officer anyone who can release my refund that fell on dead ears , they stated we cant give you or connect you to anyone. Iim sorry I’m sorry for choosing this place, but I’m sorry for my husband more the person they are hurting the most due to his Illness A big joke to client services when I informed them of his condition and we needed all funds available to maintain a descent quality of care every little bit helps. THEY DONT CARE!!!!!!!!!!!!! We still haven't received a REFUND. Why does this company take 4 months and counting.... To process a REFUND???????? They claim it's due to the high number of cancellations. #saysalot

When I looked in my wooden box filled with over thirty credit cards I felt like the world was crashing down on me. I had come to the point as to having to borrow from new credit cards to make minimum payments on others. I was in trouble....big trouble! One thing for Sure if you have to file bankruptcy your probably broke, upRight Law can't file until you have them paid in full, but they will answer any questions you may have and give you a number your creditors will have to call instead of you. I have been trying for over a year to have my bankruptcy filed. I have been paid up and all my necessary paperwork has been turned in to be filed. I have heard nothing from my attorney's office. I am in financial turmoil and I've already been garnished from a old debt from 2004. I have been set back even further because things have not been filed in a timely fashioned. I would like to either have the attorney move with urgency or please, give me an another attorney. Enough is enough. I've called, I emailed and I have heard nothing in response. This has been a horrible ordeal and because of Attorneys representing your business, I would decline to ever use or advertise your company again.

I just want to state for a fact, that Upright Law is by far the best decision that I have had to make. I spent many years in a financial slump due to a divorce that left me in ruins!! For many years my father stressed financial security, ie. savings accounts, retirement accounts and investing. With that he lecture us kids on the importance of maintaining our credit and made sure all of us kids took Credit When Credit is Due, (which I have done twice, now I teach it here at my employment). DO NOT CONTACT UPRIGHT LAW!! THERE ISN'T ANYTHING UPRIGHT ABOUT TBIS COMPANY!! I CANNOT believe I got myself in this situariont. I have been SCAMMED by a law group, no less??!!UpRight Law? Really? What a crock of (BAD WORD) that name is. The lawyer (?) assigned to my case has ALL of my confidential and personal information. I have left phone messages and sent emails during the past 2 weeks and have not received a response. In one of the previous reviews I read, the person stated she could have gotten her bankruptcy filed for $350 by a paralegal. I found out today that I could have gone that same route with a reputable law practice. My payment of $1800 has lined somebody's pocket and I didn't even get offered a drink before I got SCREWED over!! Do these reviews even get reviewed? Or do they just get sent out into cyberspace and get covered with moon dust? Has anyone out there ever had a positive outcome and/or experience with these low life scum bags? Has anyone filed a complaint and had there horrid experience addressed? DESPICABLE. UNBELIEVABLE. And yet they are still in business requesting warm, fuzzy reviews. Some how, some day, the scamming and irreparable way that UpRight Law does business is going to come back and bite them in the ass. I hope.

I want to admit I was a bit scared of calling and getting help, without feeling attacked. I figured I would just make a phone call get some information and just think about it.
