Two years ago in Vermont, I was arrested while following my dying sister-in-law to the hospital after a sudden accident at a ski resort. The VT State police pulled me over because of me closely following the ambulance, and subsequently arrested me for a DUI after my admission of having 2 beers earlier that day at the lodge. Operation with only a 30 day suspension which is good considering I don’t believe a public defender would able to do this. I was very stressed out as I’m sure most of you would be trying to find an affordable lawyer in Burlington. It’s the most pressing time to find someone who really has your best interest in mind. From the moment I called Handy Law and Jordan answered the phone (not some robot telling me to press 8 buttons, or an assistant telling me someone would get back to me ASAP) I immediately felt less stressed. I told Jordan briefly what my situation was, and without hesitation or without trying to throw numbers at me and shark me out of my money, his first response was a solution. I had court at 8AM the following morning, Jordan and his assistant Addison were there prompt and prepared to help me settle my case! I can not recommend these folks enough. Thank you Jordan and Addison for all of your help! It’s a scary and unknowing time when you get a citation or even worse jailed! You don’t have to go through it alone! A few months ago, I unfortunately got my first DUI. I was panicking of the thought that one mistake could not only ruin my driving record but my life. I am a junior at Saint Micheal’s college in civil engineering and something like this would have also ruined my chances of getting a good job.
