Gasparilla distance Classic is a big Nice annual run race on bayshore w 5k 8k 15k half marathon! Management finally listened and did normal colors like red blue green and not ugly girl colors like salmon purple orange yellow for mens shirt! Please continue with non girl colors like blue red green black for next year too! Thanks!

Race went from in-person to virtual. However, let me tell you that No Other Race still reserved the course for its runners. While other races said “Sorry, here’s your medal in the mail,” the Gasparilla Distance Classic STILL had an Expo AND reserved the course on Bayshore for its runners. Not to leave out, great music, volunteers, staff, and the music at the start/finish line. 2021 may have been different, but did not disappoint.

They didn’t have any of the post race celebration area setup after the 15k. This year was cooler weather as well and to ask wet cold runners to wait an hour is a little ridiculous. I’m very disappointed that they did not have this ready for the 6,000 runners that got up early to compete.
