Famous Tate has a large quantity of products to choose from including a large scratch and dent area. Free delivery is a plus. Allstate extended warranty at a good price. I bought a floor model refrigerator and it was delivered without any problem. Worked with Carl and he was very friendly. Will be back to purchase more items in the future.

Amazing Famous Tate supplied the original, discounted laundry equipment for The Coffee Shop, Gracepoint Wellness's homeless drop in center in 2016 when we reopened Tampa's lone homeless drop in center after losing County Funding. For our 5/21/2022 refresh of 'The Shop', once again, Famous Tate stepped up with three, new, discounted, stackable washer dryer sets - delivered and installed. This doubled our laundry capacity for our homeless guests! Famous Tate's high impact help (with no fanfare) helps to serve our underserved neighbors with dignity and respect. Love this location! I’ve bought a wash, dryer, and stacked washer/dryer. Each time I’ve purchased at this location, the sales team has been extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I love that they don’t try to push sales on me. Instead they listen to my needs and have matched me with the perfect units. Buying with them is quick, easy, and stress free. Last time I was in and out within 30 minutes including processing my purchase and viewing products.

I bought 3 replacement appliances sight unseen and was concerned about the color and 10 other things. Mark was THE most patient person. He answered my questions over and over ... I couldn't have been more pleased. Also the installers were THE BEST. Even gave me tips on how to maintain my refrigerator. Our home is 20 plus years old so the appliances are made differently now..they don't fit in the same holes! They made sure we ordered the best possible fit and they made it work in the space. I originally placed an order for a washer & dryer set online. Mark called me to let me know that it was out of stock and was honest in the turnaround time for delivery due to supply chain issues. He then looked for a suitable substitute for both washer and dryers and matched the price of the previous purchase despite the appliances being a bit more expensive. They were delivered on the second business day after purchasing and the installation took, at most, 15 minutes from start to finish. I cannot thank the employees of Famous Tate enough for making this part of our move, by far, the easiest. I will absolutely be returning for any and all of our future appliance needs.

Recently shopped and purchased a hybrid mattress at the Armenia store. Found the sales associate, Paul Gorgoglione, knowledgeable, helpful, not-at-all pushy and caring, caring more about the customer's satisfaction and needs instead of just making a sale. He even promptly followed up with answers to our questions and responses to our input after the sale. The delivery team was on time, conscientious, professional but friendly. The jury is still out on whether we keep the mattress or swap it out during the trial period but even on that decision have found Paul G's input and counsel invaluable. Famous Tate earned our appliance business years ago and now have earned our mattress business. Good products and prices and superb personnel, usually with years of dedicated employment, a Tampa Bay treasure.

Mark Currier and the team at Famous Tate were excellent. We had to buy our appliances a few months before our kitchen was finished. So, a couple of months later, we had an item that would not fit, it was no problem to return an item, as long as we had not opened the box. This was my first time ever in a Famous Tate store. I found that their prices were really good. The Appliances at this store are a lot cheaper then Home Depot. The only bad thing is that due to Covid-19 their supplies are very limited. I didn’t make a purchase only because of the limited variety to choose from. But I will definitely go back for future purchase. I would for sure recommend this store.

Shawn is our guy at Famous Tate! He has been our go-to for every single appliance in our house. We actually didn't purchase a washer/dryer unit from him, but (after several issues with our units) we went back to him to purchase a Famous Tate option. I was so grateful that we were able to get everything in our house in the colors we wanted. I'm usually a very hard sell, but he sold us on an induction cooktop that my husband (surprisingly) loves more than I do. You won't be disappointed here. I never knew it would be exciting buying appliances, but very glad that we chose Famous Tate over Home Depot/Lowes.

MIKE DEMBLEWSKI is the Best. He was so helpful and understood my needs and delivered on them as promised. I just moved into my condo and it has a small laundry closet. I originally purchased a unit from Home Depot and after waiting a month, when it arrived it didn’t fit. Famous state came to rescue and recommended this GE unit. They were helpful and knowledgeable on their recommendation. The into fits perfectly and the features are wonderful. Already washed and dried a lot and my only regret is not going to famous Tate first to get this unit.

UPDATE - The CS Manager, Bruce phoned us after this review. He apologized, sent a Famous Tate tech out that very day. the dishwasher was indeed unfixable. We went the following Saturday and picked out a new one and they comped our delivery/install (we previously did that ourselves). Not sure why we were told to go to GE in the first place, however, a great resolution and we are very appreciative. Will be installed in 3 days. PREVIOUS - We were welcomed when we came to the store to buy a new dishwasher because ours was dead. Chuck Nichols was incredibly helpful and we ended up buying a scratch & dent 3 drawer GE Dishwasher. Great reviews and only a small dent that could not be seen. We took it home and installed it the next day. Ran 1 load and on the 3rd day the center rack collapsed. The whole bracket pulled out of the side of the dishwasher. We called and now have to wait 1 WEEK until a GE repairman can come and take "a look" at it. I know labor is hard now, but I would have hoped Famous Tate would have stood by their sale and send one of their repairmen to handle it so we were not down for a week after paying $750. A little disappointed.

I was kind of in a bind. We had purchased a house and the seller insisted on taking there stove with them. It was kind of strange, but whatever. The issue was we only had a few weeks to find a stove and with covid going on no one had what we wanted in stock. The only real thing I wanted was convection oven, and induction stove top. GE was backordered till possibly mid February nation wide, same with LG and Samsung. I called everyone. Then I contacted Famous Tate online. They told me they had a display model that was a special order that ended up getting refused. It had been on the floor for a few weeks and had never been hooked up to electric. It was a JennAir, I was kind of disappointed as it would likely be out of my price range. They said they could take $1500 off the price and I made the delivery date the day after closing. They showed up on time and did a decent job installing it. The entire process was smooth and went without a hitch. Never even walked into the store. Nelson Torres was professional and really made sure we got our stove on time. I have not had to deal with any kind of support but feel confident they will take care of me if the need arises.

Needed to purchase a clothes dryer to replace one that was over 20 years old. I used Consumer Reports to find a make and model that suited our needs, searched the web and found that what I wanted was not in stock at many retailers including Famous Tate. Knowing their reputation for being more consumer oriented than some of their competition, I decided to call them to see when they were expecting to receive what I wanted. The salesperson who I reached was Santiago and he was knowledgeable about the product. He explained that because of delivery chain problems, the model that I wanted might not arrive for two or three months. He suggested that I purchase the next model up which cost $100 more. I pointed out to him that I did not want or need the additional feature that made this model more expensive. Santiago was then able to use discounts and waive some charges to construct a deal where my bottom line cost for this model would be about the same as what I wanted to pay. I agreed to this. This conversation took place on a Tuesday, by Friday morning, the dryer was delivered and set up in my laundry room. One more problem remained. After delivery, my wife noticed that the dryer door swung open in the opposite direction of what she wanted. I sent an email message to Famous Tate and received a call back from a manager. He set up an appointment to send a technician out to remedy the problem. The technician was right on time and fixed the problem in about 15 minutes. These guys are great.

I always reach for or go to Famous Tate for appliances and have bought quite a few from them over the years. What sets them apart from the big box stores is SERVICE! Their prices are competitive too. This last time I quickly needed a microwave. Everything was on backorder (due to the "supply chain issues"). I tried to buy online and payment would not go through for the only one not on back order. This was Saturday night. I went on their chat, explained the problem, and had an answer Sunday morning. I called the store and the salesman, Paul G, went into the warehouse and looked extensively in close outs and scratch and dents to find me a good one in perfect condition because yes, everything else was on at least three month backorder. So, I had my microwave installed in 1.5 days on Xmas week. Thank you Paul and Famous Tate.

I recently purchased a washer and dryer from them. The dryer was from the scratch and dent area but the washer did not. I was in the process of moving into a new apartment. Unfortunately that apartment did not work out and now ended up with a washer and dryer no longer needed. After calling Famous Tate, they gave me a full refund on both machines! I was very surprised I was able to get my money back on the dryer. Very pleased with my experience and will be buying all my appliances from here.

Our dishwasher stopped working in the morning. I got online and started a chat to ask about the best replacement. Even though there is a huge back order on most models that were comparable, the terrific “chat guy” (so sorry, I can’t recall his name) located an open box model at a discounted rate. Very competitive pricing, no pressure sale and it was delivered and installed less than 24 hours later. Excellent service all around!

This is my second time shopping for appliances at this store. Both times I’ve been super satisfied with my order and the order experience. Prices are the lowest in town, and delivery was much faster than everyone else. Due to my work schedule, I had made this purchase 100% over the phone. My sales rep was very polite and courteous and followed through with everything she said she would. They offer a 5 year Square trade extended warranty which was fully inclusive, along with a 10 year Allstate major component protection plan. They left me with a quality sale with full 10 years of care free assurance my appliance will be taken care of. I will buy all of my future appliances from this store.

The selection is great. The installers showed up when they said they would and did clean, quality work. They have done what they said they would do in every one of my interactions with them. EDIT: Wanted to love Famous Tate's. Initial terrible experience but they made it right in the end. Ordered washer/dryer/refrigerator in February. Pleasant and helpful sales experience at the time. Was told 3 month wait time. Then I got a call 1 month before delivery requesting in full payment for the order, so I did. Called today (now mid June) to confirm delivery on Thursday and it turns out the refrigerator is not in stock. They never thought to call me and let me know, I called them. If I never called I would just be without a refrigerator in a time where the back logs are months long. They were not apologetic or seemed too concerned. It seems like they just expected me to wait indefinitely for this refrigerator while they held the full payment. They denied my request for a loaner refrigerator while we wait for the one I ordered. Ghosted by my initial sales associate the rest of the day. All other associates, with the exception of one person, had an attitude with me on the phone. The next day, my initial sales associate called me back and a refund was processed. My washer/dryer were delivered without issue. Luckily, Home Depot had the exact refrigerator and I was able to purchase it there. You can probably still have a good experience here but NEVER order something not in stock. And if you do, DO NOT PAY IN FULL until the item is in stock. Also, pray everything goes smoothly because the tone shifted very fast once things started going sideways. Although they redeemed themselves in the end, I'm still wary to return and likely will not.

After initially identifying the price point and features I was looking for in a new laundry pair, I was able to call the store and place my order. The total price, including the machines, delivery, installation, takeaway of the old ones, new hoses and power cord for the dryer was far below anything else I had been able to find. I placed that order on a Thursday afternoon, and was offered delivery on the following day! The machines arrived at 9:45 AM, as promised, and I had received both text and phone confirmation. I am extremely satisfied with all aspects of the transaction and would not hesitate recommending Famous Tate, especially the Tampa store, for your appliance needs.

They only sold 2 fridges in the size I needed (33" width) so that limited my selection. That was the only reason why I rated them with 4 stars instead of 5 stars. Otherwise the salesman was very helpful, the entire process was quick and easy. The delivery was right on time and the installers helped me empty out my old fridge. Great experience as always at Famous Tate on Armenia in Tampa. Miguel was very helpful in navigating through the washers available. With Covid there were some that had a 3-6 month delay. We bought a GE without the center agitator and it is awesome. Delivery and set-up was perfect. I have previously purchased a refrigerator and dishwasher from Famous Tate.

Sealy, 5/0 Matt Bell Gardens Ultra Firm, I bought replaced an older memory foam that was putting my arm to sleep at night. I had slept on a wonderful mattress at Holiday Inn and had the name in hand when I went into Tate's. The clerk let me browse before coming up to me. I showed him the model and he showed me several similar models. The one I loved was way out of my price range. Seeing this, he said that they had two returns in the back of that model. I bought one and have nothing but praise for that great mattress, my now uninterrupted sleep, and the very professional men that delivered the new mattress and removed the old. Start to finish, I had great, unpressured serve for a great product.

After being told I would have to wait many weeks for a new dishwasher, the salesman was able to find me one and it was installed in a few days. The installation person, Alan, went above and beyond. After he had installed the dishwasher, part of the old flooring was showing (since the bottom of the dishwasher is recessed). Alan cut a piece of my new flooring to fit there, so now it looks good. Alan was the best part of the experience - what a nice guy!

My experience was not with the actual business but this morning driving to work I witnessed an older lady trying to cross the street when her electronic chair gave out. A tall gentleman with the Famous Tate uniform went out of his way to get out the car in traffic to help the elder.. He was a tall, and African American that seemed to be heading into work on Waters Ave. I wanted to stop and get his name but traffic was bad. Excellent. I was in and out of there in 15 minutes. Had my refrigerator next day. Home Sleepo told me it would be 8 days, and that they don't stock the appliances they sell. Well, what is the use of even going there? What used to be Sears outlet is some seeming 'fly-by' named liquidator of sorts, that does 'not' deliver. If I'm going to start trucking things myself, I can find a good deal on Cr****list. Anyway, I reckon that Famous Tate is about as close to a human sales experience as we can get, these days. My grandfather used Famous Tate repeatedly, from my recollection, up to 30 years ago or more. That was good enough for me.

Great experience, ordered online with no problems. My selection was on back order, a sales rep, I believe it was Mike(?) called within 30 minutes of my order to advise me. He actually asked questions about my existing appliances and made a suggestion that ended up saving me $60. There are not many stores or salespeople who will try to save you money! This is our second experience with this location, and we are very pleased with the level of customer service, selection, and 3rd party delivery companies used. Will return for future purchases!

The customer service is so great at this location, I refuse to purchase my appliances anywhere else. Very honest and professional staff! Due to covid there is low inventory in general but I was able to purchase a washing machine a year ago and a stove here recently. Diane Hendrix is a miracle worker! She managed to find me a LG washer and dryer when both Lowe's and Home Depot could not! She knew exactly the extra parts I needed and added them to my order, which saved me the hassle on delivery day. Delivery was THE NEXT DAY, which I find amazing as well. The delivery team was efficient and stayed making sure both the washer and dryer worked to my satisfaction, they cleaned up quickly, handed me all the manufacturer paperwork and left. They didn't leave trash behind for me to deal with like other places have. Diane even made sure everything arrived and was just what I wanted. The whole experience was first class!

After our washer broke down for the second time in two months, we decided to put our money into a new washer and dryer set rather than into more repairs. I checked the website to see what was offered. While in stock selections were limited due to Covid-19, I was able to find an option that fit with my requirements. I called the store and the salesman was knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. I told him I would call back after speaking with my husband. We went by the store the same afternoon, made a final decision, and the pair was delivered two days later. The delivery personnel were extremely professional. Everyone we dealt with were top notch and we plan on making future appliance purchases through Tate.

Search additional options out there before you buy from Famous Tate! I've bought from them for over 35 yrs but their follow-through and customer service of calling the customer lack greatly! I bought 4 appliances, scheduled for delivery and install in the same day. The Salesman did not send over the installation order for two appliances and had we not kept calling half the day, the install company would not have come out. When they finally did arrive, they did a great job. We won't buy the refrigerator from there again. The refrigerator is a poorly made product, areas of the door were not finished properly and appliance touchup paint had to be used. Inside door shelves had such a big gap for 2 areas we had to buy trays with 4 sides from a retail store to hold medium & small items in the door. Look more out there before you settle on this company. I wished I had.

Good service, but there's a reason they didn't get 5 stars. If I could, I'd give 4.5 stars. Read on. When we left with the bill, we noticed they had got the delivery address completely wrong. Initially, they had also got our name wrong. I went back in and they corrected everything. So: good. The delivery and installation were good. So all's well that ends well. (But the people installing kept moving their masks down, exposing their noses.) My advice: don't do what I did. Don't engage the salesman with conversation. You'll confuse them. So it's partly my fault Except for that, good service. Beats the hell out of Sears any day.

Famous Tate had package deals (better than the big box stores) to fit my needs but individual items were priced fantastic as well. The customer service was second to none. I used to shop at their store on south Dale Mabry which moved to Henderson Ave. The "new" store is huge and the display is excellent. I purchased a Maytag front loading washer and dryer from them on Monday. I saw the same set at a major home improvement store $999 each on sale and thought that was a pretty good deal. Bought an Electrolux Washer & Dryer @ Famous Tate. I have had it for less than two weeks; but I have put it through it's paces. Love both of these items. The front load washer spins out most of the moisture so your drying time is definitely less. I was able to do four loads of wash in less than a half a day. I did my sheets and mattress pad and both were dried without having to use additional drying time. All of our appliances in our house we have purchased through Famous Tate. I always recommend Famous Tate to friends looking for appliances. The delivery was done by Diversified and I was very satisfied with the installation. They tested both machines before leaving. I wasn't happy with the attitude and personality of my salesperson and he did work with me on the price but he wasn't a very friendly or helpful person. I had to ask him to show me the basics of the appliance's i purchased. I would not recommend him to anyone. The company gave me a fair price though.

They gave me 3 in-stock options in my size, color, and price range, sent me links, and then I paid over the phone with a cc (because I am currently out of state.) They got it there the next business day. I don't know if that is the norm but I was very impressed! I do recommend them. Also, downstairs, there is a large scratch and dent area where you can find deals. Financing and delivery/install is available too, usually free (maybe there is a minimum purchase requirement.)

We purchased a Samsung French-door refrigerator on Saturday, July 21st. Delivery was made the following Monday and I was home to greet the deliverymen. I surely wish I had gotten their names, but I have to comment that these two guys were extremely nice and completed the fastest and smoothest delivery I have ever accepted. I was truly impressed with them and wish I could only have these two for every delivery I ever take. Kudos to Famous Tate for hiring these two guys! The refrigerator, on the other hand, is hated by everyone in the house. It looked great in the showroom, but is nearly useless in function. I would like to suggest that display models have an assortment of fake food containers to help customers visualize how the refrigerator would work for them.

I love Famous Tate!! I grew up in Tampa, off of Armenia and Sligh. Famous Tate was a small store back then, but was still as awesome as today. I'd like to thank the store manager, Ken, for his help and guidance on the eve of Christmas Eve. My fiance and I came in solely to purchase a new washer after our washing machine suddenly stopped working. After learning that our Fisher and Paykel washer was only four years old, Ken suggested that we NOT buy a new washer that night. Instead, he recommended having someone come out and look at it. After about 30 minutes of research on YouTube, I learned how to remove the drain pump from the machine. That's where I found the problem...a bobby pin wrapped around the pump's gasket had fried the pump and tripped the fuse on the main control board. I ordered a new drain pump for $99 plus shipping, and it'll be here in two days. Ken saved me between $700-$800 that night, and I'm very thankful for his advice.
