My dryer recently stopped heating up and drying my clothes in a timely manner. I cleaned out all the lint I could reach and the problem was still not fixed. I figured the heating element went out. I searched online for businesses that could help fix my dryer. It was hard to pass up Appliance Works on the list of appliance repair companies because they had significantly more reviews and averaged a 4.9 out of 5 stars. I normally would call a few different companies to compare costs, but after reading several other reviews I decided to go with Appliance Works. I called on Monday, Jan 2nd and they were able to schedule an appointment for morning of Wednesday, Jan 4th. Riley arrived on time, was dressed professionally, was very friendly and kind, was super knowledgeable of the issue (in fact he confirmed pretty quickly that it was the heating element), quoted me on the cost to replace and resolve the issue and worked efficiently to get it all completed. Riley was there for about 30 minutes and I’ve had no issues with my dryer since. I had a very positive experience with Appliance Works, and will likely use them again for any future appliance issues (although, let’s hope I won’t need to call them anytime soon 😉)!

We had issues with our new(er) refrigerator’s ice maker. I did some research and decided to give a couple of appliance repair companies a call to get quotes. A couple of them never replied. Appliance Works did almost immediately. I scheduled an appointment and Jorge came out. He diagnosed the fridge and found some errors. Came to the conclusion that the ice maker kit was bad. He had to order the part because they didn’t have it in stock. We had to wait a few days but it was all good. Once it arrived they called us to come back out and replace. They were very accommodating because of my work schedule. Jorge came back and got the replacement part installed. it’s been about 2 weeks since the repair and all is good. Thanks to Jorge and Appliance Works!

Overall we were very happy with the repair call today. Matthew was very knowledgeable about the LG washing machine and was able to quickly diagnose the problem and repair it. He also did a great job answering questions and explaining the problem. We were also very happy that he had the necessary pump stocked in his truck and could replace it without having to order parts. This is the third time we have used Appliance Works and each time it has been a good experience. Appliance Works is our go too for appliance repairs.

Our first experience with this reputable company could not have gone smoother. From beginning to end, it was remarkable. We received a prompt response back from Lydia. And, the appliance issue was resolved efficiently. Our technician, Ricky, gave us a courtesy call letting us know he was on his way. My fridge decided to stop working Saturday morning. After finding Appliance Works on Yelp and seeing all of the great reviews, I decided to give them a call. Riley came out Monday morning right at 11 (my appt time was 11-2) and quickly diagnosed the problem. Although he didn’t have the part available, he went and picked one up and had my fridge up and running by 12:30pm. Riley even taught me how to clean my washing machine!! The tech came on a Tuesday and quoted 5-7 business days to order parts and install. They showed back up 3 days later to install parts to fix my dryer and oven. The cost was much less than I expected. Burner knob broke off. Knob was not able to be used again. Edwin was prompt and very nice. He tired to correct the problem but it was clear, that he needed to order new parts. The parts arrived within 4 days and Edwin was out the next day to replace the knob. It was a quick fix once he had the part. Jorge F is a MIRCLE WORKER!!!! He helped me with my fridge and freezer and was not only very kind and respectful, but also absolutely informative. He cleaned up after himself and was so gracious about having to move anything around and always kept a clean workspace (the entire time!!). I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Appliance Works but not just them, I will absolutely ask for Jorge by name for any household appliance issues moving forward. It's like the Italians would say in any movie (haha) "I got a guy" in reference to someone they can trust to do a job well and fast and Jorge F is my guy! I can't say enough good things about his professionalism and quality of work! He knows what he's doing, he works fast and efficiently - keeps the area clean, respectful of your home and any obstacles (sofa/rug) that is in the way. He even cleaned under the fridge and all around when he was done (!!). It may actually be cleaner now than when he got here, ok, it deffinitely is. I now have a working fridge and freezer, some valuable knowledge and a great lead on how to maintain the freezer/fridge. Could I ask for anything more? I honestly don't think I could. Use Appliance Works and ask for Jorge F by name! You're welcome Googlers, you reading this review will literally save you time. You found the company you need and a technician who will will fix any issue(s) flawlessly. Wham bam! Now all you gotta do is call!

Excellent service provided by the technician ( sorry, I don’t remember her name). I told her the problems I was having with my 3 year old LG washer and the code the washer was giving me. She spent time diagnosing the problem and showed me on her notepad a diagram of the inside of my washer and where the problem was. She was willing to give me a high and low dollar amount estimate of the cost of the repair. I decided not to repair my LG. Being that I was going to buy another washer, I asked her what brand(s) she recommended and where I could purchase a new washer. I was 100% satisfied with her professionalism and her time spent to identify the problem. The service charge was well worth it.I I highly recommend Appliance Works.

This company did exactly what was expected and handled everything from my initial phone call to the finished repair. The following are things that happened that SHOULD happen when a company is in business and involves sending a worker to the customer's home: 1. Original phone call to set up appointment to get the appliance repair diagnosed handled with professionalism. Was told how the tech would call when they would be "on the way" the day of the appointment. Was also told the cost of a service call. 2. Tech did call as promised. 3. Tech greeted me with courtesy upon entrance. 4. Problem with my range door was diagnosed withing 10-15 minutes. 5. I was advised that I needed certain parts and she called to check on the parts availability 6. After finding out that the parts would need to be ordered, I was told that it would cost a fixed amount to purchase and install the worn out parts. 7. I was given an option to pay the service call then if I wasn't sure that I wanted to repair it right then. This is the option I took as I needed to discuss the repair price with my wife. Tech also mentioned that it would take a few days for them to receive the parts after I called in to confirm that I wanted the repair. 8. Placed the call to order the parts. Was told that when the parts came in, I would receive a call to then set up the appointment for the actual repair. 9. Was reminded that since I opted for the repair, the original service call fee would be subtracted from the repair price. 10. On the day of the repair, I received as call from the tech that she was on the way. 11. Blanket was laid down on my tile to protect the oven door that was being placed there for disassembly.Tech took the door apart, removed worn parts and installed the new parts. 12. After paying the rest of my agreed price for repair, the tech thanked me for my business and asked if i wouldn't mind filling out a review of the experience. A customer only needs just one great experience or one bad experience with a company to decide one of two things: would we call them again for a repair or not? The answer for us was YES. The way things were handled on their end was exactly how I would do things if I owned that business. Whoever owns APPLIANCE WORKS has done their homework and makes appliance repair painless. Thanks for doing everything you promised from the courtesy phone calls to showing up when expected.

I called and spoke with Bobbie- regarding our LG 2018 refrigerator that was not cooling properly in the freezer. She scheduled an appointment for me for a day later. She and I talked about the possibility that this was part of their notorious problem with compressors that conk out after a few years. She also reminded me that there was a class action suit against LG for this problem. She was wonderful to deal with on the phone. Jorge came out on time at the earlier portion of the service window and he was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional during the entire visit. He evaluated the problem and was able to determine that the compressor was indeed failing and that the refrigerator had actually begun to have the refrigerator portion (not just the freezer) begin to lose cooling -it was at 62° not 36 as specified. Jorge gave me our options to contact LG directly to get service and the compressor replacement done under the warranty which was still available. Obviously I would be without the refrigerator for sometime. Also, he explained that they can do the work for $1200 or so if we decide we don’t want to wait & go through them. Or, of course we can Purchase another refrigerator & perhaps keep this one as a back up; which we could do if we subsequently have LG come and repair it under warranty. Jorge was also kind enough to double check our little wine refrigerator & show me how to do a couple of the features🌻 The bottom line is that we had a reasonable service call fee which can be applied toward their repair should we decide to do that. And as in the past, I am completely delighted with the service from Jorge and Bobbie and Appliance Works. This company has restored my faith in the ability of a service company to take care of its customers they are an excellent company! Thank you!! Previous service review: We needed to have a buzzing or vibrating oven sound checked out to make sure there were no electrical problems that could cause a home fire. We called and spoke to Penny and she was able to get us worked in for the next day which was awesome! Ty Came out actually arrived early and called to make sure it was OK which it was. He was friendly and professional. It was kind of a tricky issue but he troubleshot what could be causing the problem and after all is said and done the most simple of things turned out to be the issue the oven was just vibrating when it heated up and expand it and contracted it needed just to have a shim if we chose to do that herself under the perimeter casing which over the years had perhaps loosened up. So no expensive repairs were necessary he ruled out electrical he ruled out the fan and bearings; very deliberate. So we ended up just paying the $75 service call and we happen to know how much it would cost to put in a new convection fan if it’s ever needed but in our case it’s just that the event is over 12 years old and finally starting to show its age but nothing dangerous or impeding its performance. It was a pleasure doing business with Appliance works; Penny and Ty were a delight to work with: great service and great value!

My dishwasher was having some issues ... aka: not turning on. The GE Profile kept reading "Leak detection". Looked inside and took out the water that had settled and cleaned a bit the immediate parts in the bottom of the tub, but still no go. Did a search and reached out to my neighborhood NextDoor site and Appliance Works' Cristina C came up several times. All the reviews were excellent so I gave them a call. The call was immediately picked up and even though this is a holiday week and late in the week I was able to schedule an appt within a few days. My appt was between 11 - 2. Cristina arrived at about 12:30, I think. She was very professional and personable and introduced herself with a warm and friendly smile. She diagnosed the issue with the dishwasher and serviced it expertly. Thankfully, there was not a leak into the cabinet. She had the dishwasher up and running in about 45 minutes. I also have a 90 day warranty for the service rendered. The charge was just $125.00 which is so much better than the cost of a new dishwasher! Cristina services not only dishwashers, but refrigerators, washing machines, dryers and garbage disposals to name a few. I really liked her and she did a great job. Knowledgeable, professional, kind and personable, I would reach out again and highly recommend Appliance Works and Cristina for all your appliance needs.

Kyle was able to find the wheels we needed for our Samsung dryer and return within 24 hrs. to repair it. It was $120 for labor and $65 for each wheel. $250 total. We have used Appliance Works in the past and they have always sent good people to fix our appliances.

Great experience! Following the suggestion of positive reviews I was able to book an appt within 2 days of my call...which isn't the norm these days. I was informed a service person would arrive within a 3 hour window and would contact me when they were 15-30 minutes from arrival. I received a call from Kyle T that he was 30 minutes out. I asked that he call me again when he was approximately 5-10 minutes away so I could put my 3 dogs away before he arrived. Kyle followed my request and my dogs never knew he was there. Discovered that our 4 year old GE French Door fridge was not cooling on Saturday morning the week before Christmas. Our fridge dealer referred us to a business that had no openings available for over a week. That business referred us to Appliance Works. From the moment that AW answered the phone, I knew that I had come to the right place. Only one appointment was still available for that week, so I took it. Even then, the receptionist offered other options for us to get through this "fridgeless time"! Christina, our service person was very professional, yet she seemed very comfortable and relaxed answering all of our questions. She seemed to be very honest and direct about our concerns for this known problem with this fridge, as well as concerns we had about a lesser, secondary problem. She gave us our estimate and options. When we agreed, she ordered our parts. She gave us a time range as to when we might expect the part and the return service. We understood that with the holidays both parts and labor would take longer than our ideal. We were very happy when she returned for the install on the Monday after New Year's! We hope that we will not need service again, ever. If we do, we would certainly call Appliance Works, and ask for Christina!

Andrew, the technician, was professional, polite and knowledgeable. He went over the system testing multiple voltages to ensure he had objective evidence to support his diagnosis that the circuit board was the issue. We talked price and availability of the part before I decided the part was as much as a new dishwasher (I really hate LG appliances). Andrew even offered advice on what dishwasher HE would buy. Riley (tech) came out and diagnosed the problem quickly. He needed to order a part and said it would be 3-5 days for the part to come in and they they would call to schedule to get it put in. I searched for an Appliance Repair Service on Yelp as I had never needed the services prior to this time. I called late Friday afternoon and was offered an appointment on Monday morning. Unfortunately, I had a prior commitment so we scheduled for Tuesday with a window between 8:00 and 10:00. Chris arrived shortly after 8:00. Chris was professional and knowledgeable, identifying the problem (inoperable microwave) within minutes. The part needed to be ordered and subsequently, Chris advised me it would probably be Thursday, but could possibly be Wednesday. Chris called Wednesday, as he was in possession of the part, and came by to install it Wednesday afternoon. The micro works terrific (quite frankly better than the original possession of the unit). I could not be more pleased with the services I received. I am partial to family owned operations! In closing, I would like to thank Chris for being cognizant of the Covid virus by wearing a mask.

We are having an ongoing issue with our refrigerator icemaker. Brett impressed us so much, because he laid out various options and possible outcomes of each option, and ultimatley indicated it was a known issue with the model of the refrigerator, and that the manufacturer should be able to help us out. He could have done all he could to keep the business on their end, so we ultimately paid only for a service call, knowing that if the manufacturer doesn't come through for us as he anticipates, we have back-up options for repairs through Appliance Works. Plus, I asked Brett if he'd check out our gas burners on our stove, and he was able to ensure we were in good order there. We have been happy Appliance Works customers since 2012, in both our prior home and since 2014 in our current home, and have always felt like we received great service and honest assessments of the problems. We received a courtesy reminder/confirmation call from the office a couple days in advance. And a courtesy call from Brett letting us know he was on his way to our service call. Highly recommend Appliance Works and Brett!

Second time burning up the heating mechanism. The tech yesterday suggested we get the dryer vent cleaned. I hired a company the next day to clean the vent. They had never seen so much lint. Thank you for your valuable advice on the dryer vent maybe this part will last longer than 16 months now that the vent is cleaned. the technician came, he just looked at our 5 year old LG washer in 20 seconds and came to the conclusion that a $800 piece is broken and it requires 5 hour labor. He said it's not worth to fix it just to buy a new one. My brother in law just bought a $10 spin sensor and fixed the washer in 30 minutes. Washer looks like new. Update: Appliance Works called me back and refunded us the money. They said they were truly sorry and admitted they made a mistake. We truly appreciate that. Making mistakes is normal but admitting it and trying to fix the problem is very nice. From all the reviews, I am sure that they are a good company that help a lot of people. Integrity counts.
