I bought a cooktop with Joseph and recently a dishwasher with Cynthia. I’m happy on how fast they were able to deliver the product specially with Cynthia. My lead time was 3 months but she was able to get it to me in less than a month. However, I wasn’t very happy with the installation of my dishwasher, the installer didn’t care about my cabinets, left a nail holes.

My experience with Designer Appliances and Cinthya has been fantastic. Even with all the shortages and delays I’m hearing from others, our Café induction cooktop, range hood, refrigerator, and dishwasher all came within a month of ordering, and faster than I was originally told! The only thing we had to wait for (3 months) was our wall oven and that came within the time frame I was told. When we took the plastic off of our fridge we noticed a big scratch on the panel, DA sent us a brand new door panel and a technician to come install it. I highly recommend DA to everyone who needs a kitchen appliance!

I've been looking for a specific dishwasher for over a year- I have been waiting on multiple appliance stores' fulfillment- each of whom had told me that nobody is getting that dishwasher, and that I just had to wait. I reached out to Ned from Designer Showroom who told me he happened to be getting them in, AND that he would be able to send it to me in a week. I am now using the dishwasher that nobody was able to get their hands on for over a year. (May 2021- August 2022 and still counting!) Where do I start??? We have been searching for a Bosch 800 series dishwasher for almost a month and for some reason designer appliances didn’t come up as the top seller(?). Spent another 2.5hours today calling different sellers before saw this company. Long story short, I placed the order in less than 5 mins after speaking to them. Ned Salem is the sales person that you need to speak to. Highly respectful!!!! Thank you, Ned for your patience and understanding. We greatly appreciate this.

We used designer appliances in November 2020 to purchase a new refrigerator when ours died basically immediately after moving into our first home. We had previously employed a plumber to repair the water line, but the delivery personnel from Designer Appliances advised us that the repair was done incorrectly and we still had a leak. They saved us from a huge headache and additional water damage down the road. We were just faced with replacing our washer and knew we had to come back for their expertise and unparalleled customer service. I spent most of yesterday working with Ned Salem to find the right washer and dryer combo for us. Only our washer was broken, but because we live in Jersey City, we have a stacked washer and dryer unit and were very limited in what units we can fit in our small space. Ned went above and beyond to research whether our current model was still available (unfortunately it was discontinued) so we needed to replace both units. He also helped me find an option with a vented dryer because based on my research those tend to have much better drying times. After several quotes, emails, and phone calls, I was confident that Ned helped us settle on the right combination for our home. We are awaiting delivery next week. I continue to be impressed by the five star service we have received from Ned and the team at Designer Appliances and we will certainly be using them again for any future needs!

I just had the best experience buying appliances from Designer Appliances. It started with a simple chat question and ended exactly 2 weeks later with my new appliances installed. I was in the market for a new Bosch dishwasher. I had been to 7 stores close to my home. None had a floor model for me to look at and I was told by all of them that the dishwasher I wanted wouldn't be available for 6 months or more. I expanded my search and found DA. When the chat popped up, I had but one question; Do you have this specific Bosch in stock?Ned Salem quickly replied yes. I was shocked. Not only was it in stock, he had it in the Montclair showroom to look at. I went that same day and met Ned in person. Ned helped me purchase a better model Bosch dishwasher for less money and a new stove to boot. Ned was patient, knowledgeable, and honest. He did not try to steer me towards brands I was not interested in or that were out of my budget. When I decided to add a new range hood when the dishwaher and stove were ready to schedule for delivery, Ned quickly worked with me to find the best one in stock with the features I wanted, he price matched the competition, and coordinated the delivery. The Saturday delivery and installation went so smoothly. The installers were polite, neat, and knowledgeable. Ned even followed up after the install was completed to make sure we were 100% satisfied with the job. I could not be more thrilled with Designer Appliances, Ned's excellent customer service, and their delivery and installation service. I highly recommend them!

I live in Brooklyn and Designer Appliances is in NJ, but it ended up being my go-to to buy my new stove. My apartment is up one flight of stairs and in my narrow kitchen the refrigerator doors needed to be removed. No local stores wanted to do it (or wanted to charge me a huge extra delivery charge). Ned at Designer Appliances worked out a reasonable charge for the delivery, promised they would do whatever needed to be done (including move the refrigerator), and got my new stove in place for me the day before Thanksgiving. I thought I would simply order online and be dealt with by an automated system for the most part, but to my surprise, Designed Appliances connected me with one of their representatives Ned Salem, who turned out to be so incredibly helpful. Having a direct contact allowed me to navigate unexpected hiccups without too much difficulty. Because of the ongoing global supply chain issues, some of the items I wanted were not readily available. Ned searched high and low for the items and, when something was just not available for wks to months, he gave me some recommendations for alternatives. He didn't push me to spend more or anything, he just assessed my needs and gave me really good recommendations that were within budget, good quality, and had the specific functions that I really wanted. He was also very quick in helping with all this, knowing that I had some urgency and deadlines to meet, and had good sense of humor through high and low. We are in the middle of renovations and had enormous trouble finding the Bosch dishwasher we wanted -- our contractor said that none would be available for the next eight or nine months. I immediately got on the Internet, did some searching, and found a really nice website for Designer Appliances, which is a real store based in Montclair, New Jersey. Ned Salem, the salesperson who picked up the phone, listened attentively and said he had exactly what we needed but it was coded by Bosch slightly differently because Designer Appliance is not a "big box" store. Long story short, Ned arranged to have the dishwasher sent to us and we had it within the next seven days. Five star service plus pleasant and friendly service from a company that considers customer service first. And the delivery was free! FCS, Hightstown, NJ.

Designer Appliance (“DA”)was close to an hour from our home, but it was well worth the drive. We first visited DA to compare different appliance brands, Viking, Thermador, Bosch, Samsung, LG, etc, and DA was one of the authorized Miele dealers in Northern Jersey. We were greeted by Cinthya, who answered all questions and helped us to understand pros and cons of each brand. We conveyed to Cinthya that we weren’t planning to buy immediately, and we were in the shop-around stage. However, Cinthya, nicely and professionally, still spent an 1-2 hours helping us to understand our appliance choices. In the end, we happily walked out with a range and a dishwasher that wasn’t in our day’s plan. But it was the after-purchase that we were even more pleasantly surprised with. Cinthya got back to us immediately with emails, calls, questions, invoices and any follow ups that was needed. She made sure everything, including delivery dates, parts, etc were all properly arranged and followed up. There were a couple of Google reviews that said that DA’s follow up was bad, but there’s a reason why they have 600+ 5-star reviews. Our experience was 5-star, if not a 10-star, if I could give them. For those that aren’t getting emails responses from DA, give them a quick call. They use a couple of different email client (programs), and one of them might’ve not worked properly. 🤣 Cinthya sent me two same emails from two different programs, and one worked and the other didn’t. It’s possible that they followed up, and just didn’t get to your inbox. I highly recommend DA & Cinthya and will surely come back to future appliance purchases!

A Cut Above the Rest! My husband and I visited the Montlcair showroom which is very beautiful. You will be met by gorgeous high-end appliances all around you and will be greeted by an expert guide who makes sure you are in the know. Russ was our consultant who helped us with all things appliances. My husband and I were on a time crunch and a budget crunch to close on a house. We needed a stove, a fridge, a dishwasher, and a washer- dryer set. It can be scary to spend a pretty penny. But when you are given the knowledge and options by someone who knows how to get you the best appliances for your budget, it speaks volumes about customer service that you can't get anywhere else. Russ was amazing in listening to our needs and pretty much guided us in choosing the best appliance with our preferred specs, our budget, and time crunch. Russ really took all of our stress and converted it to only solutions. He arranged for a delivery date that was pretty much impossible considering real world supply line delays. Two Contrasting Locations: I am in the middle of a home remodel and needed two complete kitchens. While researching appliances I came across Designer Appliances and was very impressed with their educational YouTube content. I decided to take the trip to their flagship store in NJ and meet with a salesperson to discuss my options. I was assigned to Jill and I emphasized that I was looking for value and was not looking for the cutting edge and didn't mind sacrificing decor for functionality. I felt like I had to nudge her along every step of the way to get to a mediocre answer. The moment I stopped talking there was an awkward silence. I heavily relied on the information I learned on the Designer Appliances YouTube and blog to ask key questions. It left me with impression that she was more of an interior designer than knowledgeable enough to tell me key differences between the appliances she was there to sell. She had jotted down a whole page of notes of what I needed/like to have. We exchanged contact information to arrange a quote. Needless to say I never heard from her. I didn't let that experience deter me from trying out their boutique location in Montclair, NJ. Mainly because I was so confused and perplexed on how I was treated yet everything else [reviews, YT, blog] seemed so honest and positive. I AM GLAD I WENT BECAUSE IT WAS A NIGHT & DAY EXPERIENCE! I was greeted by Russell and was treated as a customer instead of a "window shopper". He asked a lot of questions, made recommendations and showed genuine interest in solving my pain points. Russell performed a induction cooking demo for my other family members present to display the pros and cons. (I had asked for one in the previous location but didn't get it.) He also advised me on certain manufacturer specials. We exchanged contact information and after ironing things out and focusing on what I would eventually need. I have an order in for almost 20k of product. The TLDR of this review is give this place a shot. If things don't go well, this is not a wholistic reflection of the company. Try another person or go to their other location and you will get a great price and much better service.

Our entire Designer Appliances experience was pleasant, from start to finish. We had been managing without a refrigerator for 3 weeks (yes, in August) because one of the big chain stores misled us about the availability of our replacement order. We contacted Joe, who found exactly one 42" Monogram refrigerator in the entire US that had a great reputation for reliability and was perfect for our space. Delivery was promised in 4 days, and while we crossed our fingers for each one of them, Joe delivered - literally - with his crew showing up at 8 am to remove the old box and within 2 hours we were chilling down the new refrigerator. We recommend DA to anyone who wants an honest appliance dealer, and to Joe in particular for his personal oversight of our predicament. You'll be in good hands.

Cinthya G was very friendly and knowledgeable. This is our first time purchasing from her and the company. When I found out the dishwasher handle blocked the drawer. She swapped it with one without handle quickly. When my double wall oven delivered with broken glass door, she also quickly found a replacement for me. I understand the lead time for all appliances are much longer than before. I am still waiting for my Zephyr kitchen hood to be delivered. It was ordered in Jun with 3 other appliances from the same store, 6 months ago, which seems beyond a normal window. Cinthya managed to deliver the other 3 pieces in Oct-Nov. The whole experience with Designer Appliances could be better if I could get this Zephyr hood to complete my kitchen project.

I am local to the NY/NJ market, but I actually found them online because of their product reviews on YouTube which are extremely well done and very informative. P.S. -- I researched other sites (Lowes, Home Depot, etc.), and Designer Appliances had the lowest prices. During the month of May, there were two promotional rebates running for Maytag through Designer Appliances. Because we live in Wisconsin, we were hesitant to buy from Designer Appliances. I'd read some poor reviews and family even cautioned us against it - what if the products arrived damaged? Designer Appliances was cheaper than our local retailer by $1100. I spoke with Susan in customer service for about 20 minutes explaining my concerns and she assured me that it is Designer Appliances goal to make sure that customers are happy and that issues are resolved if deliveries go wrong. Today we received our 4 appliances. They were in PERFECT condition. I could not be happier that we chose to go with Designer Appliances. Saving $1100 IS worth it! Again, someone who knows their business. She spent a good amount of time explaining the differences. I was able to make an informed decision. The transaction was seamless. In today’s hectic world this type of experience is very refreshing. Do your exploring, on line, while relaxing in your home. Call Designer, speak with someone who knows their products, and twenty minutes later, you’re done. In a time when everyone is going sixty miles an hours, with their hair on fire, it’s nice to know you can confidently buy a major appliance sitting on your couch with a bourbon in your hand. Cheers!

I was very happy with purchasing on line. With online "Help" worker we solved how to get the refrigerator into the kitchen. During the payment I scheduled my later delivery date. Before the delivery day I received the phone call from Design Appliances confirming day of delivery and giving me time frame for truck arrival. Then during that time I received phone call, that the truck arrives within about 45 minutes. Next call was when the truck arrived. Hands of 2 workers were full to move the heavy and 27.5 cubic feet refrigerator into the kitchen. Refrigerator handles and my entry door had to be removed to pull appliance thru into the house. Both guys were working hard and fast, no complains and cheerful all the time although I could see they were tired. They put handles back on refrigerator, hung the door back and delivery was accomplished. As soon I returned back to my computer, I found in my email documented announcement about delivery. Bad return policy. Please read very carefully their policies before ordering anything. I feel manipulated and cheated. Yes, they have good appliance selection and lower prices than the competitors but once the order is place you can pray that all is well and good. They are in a selling business only, that is taking the money away. Ordered dishwasher that costed $700 from this place. It was delivered as scheduled. The appliance was unpacked and left in front of my door without the packaging and the exterior box. Once we removed the plastic cover, we realized that i have mismeasured the cabinet opening 1" shorter than the appliance width. We taped the plastic back and contacted the customer service for return. First we had to wait for RMA # to return the appliance, there is a $250 freight charge and 20% restocking fee because the appliance has NO BOX (this is the box that was taken by the delivery team). Total of $390 only to return the unused unopened item. I asked them if it is possible to get a store credit, or replace the dishwasher with another alliance and avoid the restocking fee. They would not allow this. This place should be put out of business per my opinion. For your reference this is part of their return policy issued with the RMA number: "Please be sure to adhere to the following guidelines for the return. Our warehouse will automatically reject any product that doesn’t adhere to these rules. Do not write on the manufacturer’s box or packing materials. If you need to re-seal the appliance, please use clear tape. Do not use an excess of tape to reseal the box. Please reference the RMA number on the return label. If the warehouse notes damage to any box, that box will be rejected. Please note that damage includes, but is not limited to, rips, tears, and holes. For safety, we advise that you overbox the package for a safe return. Once the Fisher Paykel dishwasher has been received and inspected, you will be refunded minus the associated shipping and restocking fees. All returns are subject to a restocking fee, which will be determined during the inspection by our returns team (the average restocking fee is 20%). Your refund will be issued within two weeks of the item receipt. Let us know if you have any questions. We’d be happy to help you."
