I love that if you can ask 1 or 10 questions, you receive your answer with knowing all the facts to make an educated decision. "Great Customer Service, Outstanding Appliances and Unbeatable Prices, this is what a call a Perfect Combination" We all tend to go to huge stores to get what we think we need. In some cases we end up getting ourselves a little bit confused or lost with the so many brands of appliances, when this scenario happens, we tend to look for help from any available associate. These employees are usually hard to find, depending on the store. Well this is not the case of Colonial Appliances and Electronics in New Providence. Today, I stopped by to get a couple of items I needed. The gentleman who took care of my order not only was extremely nice but also he demonstrated his knowledge while guiding me through the options I had based on the description I provided him with. Without putting any pressure on me, he showed me the cost, the quality and every detail I asked him for related to my order. On top of that, he asked me when and where did I want it delivered to. They have a great variety of appliances and the store is really neat and clean. So, I trully recommend them for anyone looking for quality, affordability, and outstanding customer service.

We had a 38 yo Jenn Air in a location that will not take an overhead hood. To replace it (the old JA blew the breaker in a spectacular fashion) Geoff at Colonial found us the last chance center draw model Kitchen Aid in 30” width. The JA was a drop-in model mounted in a custom configuration. The installer Frank was awesome cutting the wood structure to size to fit the stand alone KA and finish the installation. The new range is beautiful. Frank is super competent and so is Colonial, every time we have purchased there (DW, fridge, washer and dryer).

Colonial made a very unpleasant demise of my old refrigerator pleasant. George , our salesman was very understanding and accommodating in helping us to get the correct refrigerator to fit our needs. Staff are very well experienced and knowledgeable. They work hard to make sure customers are satisfied before and after leaving the store. Although it is not a big box store, Colonial belongs to a buying co-op they makes them able to match or better the prices of places like Home Depot, etc. They have a deserved good reputation in this area. We'll continue to go to them.for our appliance needs.

Started renovating my kitchen just before the government mandate shut down retail establishments. What could have been a nightmare, Colonial Appliance, and Billy Fitzgerald made researching, buying, and delivering a kitchen appliance package an incredibly easy process. Their pricing was was competitive. Billy Fitzgerald was very knowledgeable in explaining two brands I was considering. In addition, their delivery process was right on schedule and setup was hassle free. They even provided last min installation on built in fridge when my contractor couldn't do it (all wearing masks and gloves). The whole team, all working remotely, provided super customer service. As a long time local resident, I would highly recommend using Colonial Appliance instead of big box store. I will be going back for washer/dryer on my next project. Excellent work!!

You won't go wrong with Colonial. They are a family owned business that has been around over 40 years. They stand behind their products and provide very good customer service. When a brand new appliance had issues, Carl, the owner got involved and remedied the problem. Highly recommend!

This is the best place to buy appliances, bar none. We are so lucky to have a great company like this in town. The selection is excellent as are the prices. The thing that impresses me the most is their people. The front end sales (thank you Frank!) and the back end delivery men are outstanding. As far as the delivery, it is a well thought out operation. They take the time doing it carefully. About 10 years ago I bought from a company that is no longer in business but that had been around for 30+ years and the delivery people scratched the wood floors as well as our entry door. So, first hand I can tell you we have had a completely different experience with Colonial. I trust these guys any time in my home and would feel comfortable not overseeing anything. We have bought 6 appliances from them and every experience has been a positive one, every one! On the last purchase the sales person even called to tell me he had mis-quoted one appliance and they were refunding me another $75. I had already paid and was happy with the first price. Integrity and employees who care from start to finish, what more can you ask? I'd pay a premium for that any day. I wanted to update my review! Can I give these guys 6 stars?! They are so good, but once again it is Frank who is amazing at customer service. If you are going to buy anything, please talk to Frank. I had a problem with a baffle filter and the timer on my oven which was out of warranty. He took the time to help me get it fixed without hiring a repair person.

Went in for a washing machine, not knowing which direction to go. I had the best sales experience with Bill Fitzgerald. He explained the differences between the different models and knew his stuff inside out! No pressure, extremely helpful and easy to work with. Colonial has the best prices and customer service. We recently had a major issue with our 3 1/2 year old refrigerator, as in it was not repairable. We called Colonial first to see what we should do. Karl and Billy both agreed that this should not have happened and guided us through the process of contacting the company. In the meantime, Karl, colonial''s manager loaned us a fridge to help. After a lengthy back and forth the company offered us a prorated compensation toward a replacement. Colonial worked with us on the price and delivered and installed the new unit free of charge. We are now very happy customers! The customer service and support through this process was invaluable. Can't recommend Colonial Appliance enough!!! We will certainly use them again in the future.

Great experience. And the reason to go to good family owned businesses instead of the mega-stores. I bought a new built in kitchen-aid refrigerator, and we ended up having to make some adjustments on our end and the customer support I received from owner Carl and his staff was excellent. The installer Frank really knows what he is doing and was able to snake a water line into the freezer unit from the basement, even though it was NOT easy. His charge was fair, and he's a really nice guy. Would go back without hesitation.

During this difficult time, our refrigerator stopped working and we needed a replacement quickly. Within minutes of leaving a message, my call was returned, I was able to purchase what we need and delivery and installation was scheduled for within a few days, which is unbelievable given the current circumstances in New Jersey. This place was actually recommended to me by two separate sources; the repairman and my mother. When my Bosch washing machine started malfunctioning and the repairman said repairing it would be just as expensive as purchasing a new one, I asked him who should I check out? Colonial Appliance. I was discussing the broken washer casually with my mom; who did she recommend? Colonial Appliance. I was not disappointed. Billy helped me get the model I needed as quickly as possible and applied all available discounts (you need 'em for a Bosch x_x) and in 3 days I was back in business. We recently remodeled our kitchen and bought all our appliances at Colonial. They are an amazing team! They were professional and courteous and they had the best prices. Thomas Sliker helped us make our selections and reassured us that the appliances would be available when we needed them. We were a bit concerned because of the supply chain disruption during the pandemic but they were ready the day we needed them! Colonial held the appliances for us till our contractor was ready to install them. Their delivery guys were very good as well - punctual and pleasant to deal with. Once we started using our kitchen we noticed there were two tiny dents on the door of the fridge. I spoke to Thomas and he requested me to send photos of the dents. After that he arranged and coordinated with GE to come out and install new doors within no time. We have been so impressed with Colonial and their service. Please check them out for all things appliances before you go to any other place! You will not regret it. They are a great business to have in our town and they support our kids through their generous donations! I am a thankful band mom :)
