Leaving 5 stars because the management is A1, but some of the cashiers are below subpar. I'm not one to ever be a karen and leave a bad review, but I'm floored by what we experienced today. My father and I were shopping for our restaurant, had 2 rather full carts but all the bar codes out and accessible. The woman was rude, catty, ran to different registers gossiping about how other cashiers do something different/wrong. When questioned if she scanned certain items she snapped at my dad and I. She missed multiple items and her manager had to come rescue her and after taking nearly 30 minutes to cash out 99 items, she got even ruder saying, loudly, "ITS NOT MY FAULT THEY DONT HAVE EVERYTHING WHERE I CAN SEE IT" when clearly that wasn't the case, she missed entire rows of boxes on our cart. Her failure to manage the scanning and just look at the screen to see the last item scanned was on her. I can understand if someone is new. Everyone has to start somewhere. But to be so arrogant and rude because you can't manage to do your job correctly and in a timely manner is weird. Bar codes were out. Sale stickers were visible. I know restaurant depot gives people with other barriers to employment jobs but all of us run on thin timelines. Manager David saved the day. We appreciate him and Joel always. Employees like her make me grateful the turnover is so high so I don't expect her to be a problem long.

I have been in several Restaurant Depots and other restaurant food service distributors throughout the Southern Region but I have never received the true great customer service like I have from the Nashville location. George Downer is without a doubt one of the best managers of facilities like this. Most managers tie themselves down in their office and are never seen or heard from directly. George is on the floor making sure you are taken care of and going a step further by searching and pulling product you need. He has a great staff behind him, from the ones at the register to others helping out to make sure you are taken care of. So thank you George and your team for making my shopping experience easy and stress free.

Had an amazing experience here. The customer service was above and behond. When I needed directions on where an item would be I had a gentleman walk me all the way to it. Then had another gentleman help carry my item to checkout, then bring me a cart to help assist me to my car. When I went to pull the cart to my vehicle another gentleman grabbed my item and carried it out and loaded it into my jeep for me. I can’t say enough about the amazing people that work here! If I could give 10 stars I would.

Restaurant Depot is the supplier of choice for many restaurants and non-profit organizations such as schools and churches in and around the greater Nashville area. Restaurant Depot stands out from amongst other national suppliers and vendors mainly because of the lower cost of meats, seafood, produce, frozen and fresh food, pantry items like canned and bottled products and paper products. It is extremely difficult in the restaurant industry to keep cost of sales low when national delivery suppliers charge exorbitant prices. Restaurant Depot has its challenges namely high employee turnover and the time it takes to do your own shopping vs having it delivered. Upper level management needs to take a close and deep look at their internal policies as it seems as though their policies are not supportive of their staff who are extremely hard working individuals.

This place was great to deliver to! We were able to park at midnight when we arrived. Woke up at 6:30 and checked in. Our appointment was 08:00, unloaded before 09:00! They have a bathroom if you ask. Really nice unloaders. One of the best Restaurant Depots we have delivered to! Thanks guys!

I was in this location about a week ago and had a problem with the guy over your produce department.He first told my wife he wouldn't get the onions down that needed after hearing this I went to someone else about the issue.I use onions for several things two of blooming onions and onion rings which both require big onions.The assistant manager got a young man on a fork lift to come get them down at this time the guy comes back over and tells no we not selling them until the little ones first and I as a customer don't understand.When I told him I understand just fine and those baseball sized onions can't be used for blooming onions nor onion rings he said what would you buy if the big onions weren't out here.I told him none and in front of the manager that was helping me he said I don't care if we sell them or not.You should fire this guy immediately any employee that don't care about your bottom line is no good to you I SPENT 2700 dollars that day in the store came back 5 days later and spent 1900 more.I shop at this location a goodbit and it will be interesting to see whT happens

Their selection is usually really good. When I went today it looked like they just dumped pallets in the aisles when they used to actually put things on the shelves. Assuming staff is hard to find, but it was a mess. Checkout staff was a blast though and made the mess seem ok. Still my go-to when we run out of things and that probably won't ever change.

Been coming here for a few years now and have seen it decline in service since they put new management in. When they do have items stock it fresh and simple to get. The place is a mess hard to navigate with pallets all over the place. I don't know if they restock and unload during business hours only, but that seems how they operate. Customer service is poor. Don't know if its management, lack of employees, or their skills. Checking out has been a huge issue. Expect an average of 20 minutes. Prices sometime don't match their tags. A lot of items do not scan. Sometimes they want to transfer carts. (to insure accuracy of scanned items) After checking out you have to wait to let someone check your recheck your cart once again. The place is just okay in the end. You can save money going there, but how valuable is your time. Nashville traffic is getting worse, lack of stocking, long wait times, and long check out times you might just want to goto the other supply stores or have your supplies delivered. Update as of 5/30/22 place has cleaned up a good bit but stocking still needs help. Cashiers can be a nightmare at times. It's your job to make sure they do their job, or you will be wasting time and money fixing their mistakes. Don't let them rush you. The headache of going back to customers service and back to the same cashier who messed up you cart in the first place is a huge waste of time. They need a lot of help. I don't know whats going on but all the good managers are gone. They don't need bosses they need leaders. Bossing people around while you stand all high and mighty doesn't look good to your employees and customers.

The customer service could be a lot better. Being a GM at a hotel my customer service is like my first language. I have been here several times and they need to retrain the cashiers on politeness and respect.

This place is for business owners that need more than what Sam's club offers. They have just about everything for a restaurant here. Chef uniforms, utensils of all kinds, different coming oils, a large selection of fresh fish, fresh produce, frozen meat, cheese that's hard to find and a while lot more.

Have your hard hat on and your be on your best behavior. Ppl that are shopping are in a rush so get out of the way. Forklifts are all over the place stocking products. All kinds of stuff in the floor so watch your step you'll trip and fall. Great assortment of items though if you can stand the crowd. Very helpful staff and very kind people that work there... Just needs to be better organized or a larger Warehouse.

A great place to get any catering needs, food truck needs, or just bulk items for the household. Quality produce, lots to choose from. Also has storage containers, speedrack and sheet pans, display boards and trays, even chef clothes !

You need it? They got you covered when your truck is late or get shorted a case of must have produce/protein. Note that half of the negative reviews are pissy delivery drivers that didn't get the blue ribbon receiving dock service that they felt entitled to. As if they aren't going to go idle someplace for 2 hours and act like they are behind the eight ball anyways. We get it, you regret driving a truck for a living. Believe it or not, the real work starts after you drive away, scab.

Always a mess with products in the isle as they stock. Wait to check out was faster than normal but there is usually a wait. Decent selection of products if you need something on the fly.

This is a wholesale restaurant supply store. Membership is available for businesses only. Produce and meat are always fresh and their prices are awesome. We drive one hour one way to do our bulk shopping there.
