Mark our technician arrived when promised, and presented himself very professionally. He explained exactly what he was doing and what the expected outcome would be. The repair took a bit longer to accomplish then expected due to the complexity of the machine being worked on. Mark made sure we knew exactly what was happening throughout the process. Mr.Appliance will be our first call when we need appliance service in the future. Highly recommend this company.

I called and someone actually answered the phone😊I explained my washing machine was not pumping the water out. She was sympathetic and wanted to help me asap. They sent a wonderful young man, named Steven and another wonderful helper to my house less than two hours after my call. He explained everything to me and was so kind, caring and professional. They had parts on their truck and I think a buddy system makes it much easier to get the job done on the same day. Moving a dryer, washer and bigger appliances takes two people.I will Use this company for any future appliance issues. I will request Steven!

I made an appointment because I needed an estimate for repairs or replacement to give my homeowners insurance company for my fridge and dryer. The tech came by just a few days later, was amazing and gave a detailed explanation of what was broken on the appliances, and then wrote up everything for me in an estimate that I could send my insurance company. The insurance company, of course asked for additional documentation and Mr. Appliance happily and quickly gave me the additional information that I needed. Cannot recommend them more based on customer service and I will definitely be using them again for future appliance repairs when needed

We had a great experience with Nate from Mr Appliance. He was able to fix our one oven door without new parts and identified an issue with our other one as well! The central office communicated well, was able to get the parts within days and Nate was back within the week and had the job done within fifteen minutes of being here!

My initial impression wasn’t good. I had a dead refrigerator and an appointment 3 days away. But just a few minutes later, Mr. Appliance stepped up. They called back saying that they could send a technician the same day. Cody, the technician, took about 5 minutes to figure out the problem and about 7 minutes to give me a quote and explain what needed to be done. The only hold up was getting the parts especially since the major part isn’t made any more. He did a great job! I am impressed.

Repair technician was very knowledgeable and professional. He diagnosed the issue and repaired the stove. All issues related to the age and parts availability were explained and the best solution was used. There was no pressure. Very good work, stove works great.

My freezer isn't freezing and scheduled a repair. Someone called me in less than 30 minutes to ask more questions. She noted that I should try scheduling through manufacturer first in this case because they provided a 10 year warranty if it's a compressor. She probably saved me big $$$. That's honesty!!!

Excellent and Professional. We had one repair guy come and fix our dishwasher that needed to be rerouted to the garbage disposal. He ordered the part and came back as soon as they received it. My initial contact with their offices was professional and I was placed on the schedule for the very next day. Steven was on time, professional, and very knowledgeable since my washer was a high-end appliance. Accordingly, his diagnosis of the problem was more inline with my concerns and he recommended the appropriate repair. In a few days, Steve ordered the parts and returned to complete the job. These folks were the best. And they are local - small business. Honest. Hard working. Friendly. I had had another bigger name out and they couldn’t fix the problem but Mr Appliance stuck with me and the job even on some parts that were difficult to get. And the price was really reasonable- certainly very fair for the amount of work and the cost of the replacement parts. They had to do some rewriting of frayed wires and parts replacement that wound up being difficult to get. They really are fantastic and I don’t write reviews much at all! Thank you

First let me say thank you to the main office staff. The scheduler was very helpful and nice. She clearly explained all of my scheduling options then made it happen! Cody, the repairman, showed up right on time. He quickly and professionally diagnosed the problem (which required ordering replacement parts). When the parts came in we rescheduled him to come back out. He quickly replaced the defective parts, thoroughly tested these dishwasher and cleaned up after himself. Price was reasonable for the work performed. I will definitely use them again!

We heard good things about Mr. Appliance on Nextdoor and they were all true. Steven Cave was our technician and he fixed our dryer easily. The repair required a new part that wasn’t part of their normal inventory, but it came quickly after they ordered it and he came over and installed it in just a few minutes. He is very professional and seems trustworthy and well-informed about his work. I will definitely call them again if I need any appliance repair. The woman in the office who does the scheduling is also wonderful and helpful and very funny. They were great all around.

We used Mr Appliance to identify and replace a noisy fan. Although they charge for the diagnostics, they provide their pricing as soon as they diagnose the problem and will waive the diagnostics charge if you initiate the repair. It took two visits to get the right part, but the staff is very knowledgeable, professional and courteous and once they had the correct part, the fan replacement took less than an hour. Overall I am pleased with the service provided, however, feel that it was an expensive repair just to replace a $150 part. $450 for drive time and 60 minutes (x2) of labor.

Our dryer went up a week before Christmas. We called Mr Appliance from a website search and Steven came as our repair professional. He diagnosed the problem, sought the needed parts online and ordered them. He then told me that he couldn't promise that they would arrive before Christmas. We were expecting both of our grown sons and their families, a total of 10 people for Christmas, and the idea of no dryer for a week was very problematic. Knowing that, Steven drove the 2 hours to pick up the parts rather than waiting for them to be delivered and installed them 2 days after the initial visit. He was polite, professional, and skilled, arrived on time, and went beyond my expectations when he was willing to spend the time to get the parts himself. The dryer works perfectly and my family has used it numerous times during the time we would have had to wait for the parts to arrive and Steven to come back to finish the repair. I would definitely call them again and enthusiastically recommend Mr. Appliance!

I was very pleased with the service provided by Mr, Appliance of Howard County. A real person answered my phone call when I called to ask about service for a drip in my refrigerator,. I was told the earliest appointment would be on the following Monday. I voiced my disappointment that I had hoped someone could check my refrigerator sooner, but agreed on Monday. A couple of days later I got an e-mail that a technician could stop by the Friday before. I was very happy. They sent me the time and his name and even a photo of the technician. He diagnosed the problem quickly and told me he could repair it immediately. Days later, it is working fine. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr, Appliance of Howard County and to use them again.

Mr. Appliance responded promptly to our initial phone call near the end of the business day to fix our dryer after we found them on a Web search. They scheduled a visit for the next morning, arrived on time and diagnosed and fixed the problem in about an hour. I had tried fixing it myself and had replaced some parts but they found a shorted wire that was causing the problem and could have been very dangerous so I'm glad we called in the pro's. Overall, highly satisfied with the work. Had the dishwasher mysteriously stop working during a run cycle. We called up Mr. Appliance and they were able to get a technician out the following day. The tech was very friendly and explained everything in detail. Turns out it was a blown fuse so the fix was very simple. My only complaint, and it is minor, was the time window they gave was too wide, Noon to 5pm; called the company the day of and they were able to give me a better time of when the tech would show up. This minor complaint is completely negated by the fact that the tech showed up earlier then the time given when I called the day of servicing.

I enjoyed doing business with this company, which was recommended by our local appliance store. Both the office person and the technician were professional and knowledgeable, and they sent email notifications informing me of the time of my appointment (within a 1 1/2-hour window) and when the technician was on his way. Michael diagnosed and fixed the problem with our dishwasher (a blocked hose) all while patiently answering my many questions—he taught me a lot about dishwashers! He even noticed that one of the anchoring screws had scraped the enamel on the side of the door and replaced them with flathead screws. Great attention to detail, helpful and professional service at a reasonable cost; I couldn’t ask for anything more and will definitely call on them again when the need arises.

After double checking the part to be replaced, it was determined that the part was working, though another part which was the problem would soon need to be replaced, saving the cost of the part from the initial diagnosis. I exchanged several phone calls with Ed, the owner. Ed is very pleasant to deal with. He understood my concerns with the proposal and worked with me on the resolution. I first considered purchasing a new dishwasher from Best Buy, and Ed was willing to pick it up from 30 minutes away and haul away the old dishwasher, something they normally don't do. I later changed my mind and just went with their fix. They ordered the parts and fixed it the next day without any problems. The office staff is excellent at scheduling, and keeping the client up-to-date should there need to be schedule changes.CODY is knowledgeable, efficient and does not leave any sort of mess. 12/31/19 on-time appointment: Your technician, Mike Piotrowski, methodically checked for the source of the problem (ice maker not functioning), explaining the diagnostic steps as he worked. Ultimately, he determined that the ice maker unit was faulty and he replaced it. Mike stated that the separate laser beam components could also be contributing to the malfunction. He suggested we wait to see if the newly installed part resolved the issue since the laser replacement is costly. Voila! After Mike left the ice maker kicked into gear! I was impressed with the service and the text notification in advance of his arrival, complete with Mike’s name and photo! I also appreciated the fact that Mike did not try to up-sell the additional parts until we knew whether they would be necessary. I would recommend your company to others. Well done. "UPDATE: Customer service reached out and agreed that the cost of the repair should have been given before the repair was done. They refunded half making the repair $113 which is a fair price for the repair. So, bonus points for good customer service. ORIGINAL: They do good work and they call you before hand. BUT, service can be expensive! $$$$ I didn't get a quote for the cost of repair before it was done, otherwise I could have decided if $226 was worth it or not to repair a microwave. I SHOULD have been informed before the repair, but was NOT. If they don't do the repair it's $89 for having them come out. My microwave is an above the stove type with the exhaust fan and the issue turned out to be a blown fuse. It took LESS THAN AN HOUR to inspect, replace, clean up and write the bill, LOL! I would probably have been better off replacing the microwave as it's a few years old, but with the $89 fee for the service call, having it repaired was probably the better option. I am thankful that the microwave is working again and that I could afford the repair. Just remember to ask that they give you a price estimate before they begin any repairs so that you can decide if it's worth it or not!"

Had setup an appointment to diagnose a broken fridge. Email gave me a mid-morning time. Next day, the time was requested for an earlier time (yay). The agent showed up early and was very courteous. He wore shoe protectors (yay) and went straight to opening the fridge. You know these guys are professionals when he took out the Ohm meter and started taking amperes and reading off each individual piece. He looked at the compressor and inverter board in detail. After confirming the compressor board was good, he said the inverter board went bad. His parts quote was over $700 to fix the fridge. He suggested to buy a new fridge based on the parts he had identified as gone bad. I looked at amazon and the part was indeed over $500. I called GE the vendor and they said $150. So I said what do I have to lose? I installed the inverter and my fridge works now, saving myself over $600. Thanks Mr Appliance for identifying the part that broke down. I paid the $89 fee for their service. Excellent company, honest, on time, and detail oriented. Will def use again!

When our GE refrigerator "died" on October 10 we called Mr Appliance to come and analyze the problem. They scheduled a visit right away and the problem was diagnosed as a failed Motherboard and in fact there had been an electrical fire and one of the connectors had melted and could not be replaced. After many calls to GE I was able to purchase a new motherboard from them for Mr Appliance to install. However the connector was not available. In the end Mr Appliance could have said that they could not repair the refrigerator because the necessary parts were not available and I would have to take up the issue with GE. In fact the Mr Appliance technician (Eduardo) went above and beyond and fabricated the necessary power connections to the Motherboard (I cannot explain this adequately as this appeared to be a very difficult job to me). In the end, we now have a working refrigerator thanks to Mr Appliance, Ed, Beth and all there who dealt with the issue.
