As someone who has experienced quite a bit of acupuncture, I was struck by how much I learned from Melanie's questions and her suggestions in that time. Before she'd placed any needles I had been given me answers for improving my life.
Melanie's office is welcoming, with some beautiful views and the colors are calming. The combination of skilled acupuncture with her nursing experience made the potentially challenging conversation easy and informative.
It was a delight to come out of the office relaxed and feeling cared for.

I have tried so many treatments for my chronic illness and anxiety over the years and this has been the most beneficial. I have been doing acupuncture here for a few months now and it has already helped me immensely, both physically and mentally. Melanie is so lovely and has such a calm and compassionate energy. She is very thorough, really taking the time to get to know her patients to determine which treatments would be most effective. I typically enter the office feeling stressed and tired but always leave feeling at ease and rejuvenated. Her holistic approach has helped me make small changes in my life that are benefiting my overall well-being. Acupuncture is now something I plan to incorporate into my treatment long term.

Chad Braidwood10 years of severe back pain! Chiropractic, physical therapy, yoga, MRI's, herniated disc L5/S1, NO surgery recommended during consultation. I'm out of ideas!! My wife said she's heard of this acupuncturist who has done wonders for people. I've been to acupuncture and it's like everything else. It helps some but doesn't solve the problem. I NEED a Tiger Woods spine fusion to stop the pain! Whatever..... I'll give this another try. First visit, I can tell things are happening. I can feel my nerve track fire up. It's hard for me to explain, but the muscles in my back fatigue after the acupuncture session and it stops the muscles from pulling on my spine in the wrong way that causes the bulging disk to be irritated. It's been a long journey of 8 months, once a week, hour session and electric stimulation using the needles(this is a game changer). I'm swinging a golf club, riding my mountain bike, skiing...... etc. I'm actually living my life again with no to mild discomfort depending on how hard I push my body. I'm 52 years old. My 40's were an absolute disaster of pain. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and Melanie is holding the flashlight. Don't sit there in the dark! MAKE AN APPOINTMENT and start living your life again!!
SLDI went Sun & Moon Acupuncture to get treated for lower back pain and discomfort. I wasn't sure on how acupuncture worked, however after our initial meeting I felt much more comfortable and decided to move forward and start the treatment. Melanie was very informative, professional and the end results of the acupuncture/dry needling were amazing. After meeting with Melanie and being treated, I would go back to her in a heartbeat. The treatments Melanie has employed relieve my pain and my stress. I’m new to acupuncture and was a little nervous about it at first, but it’s just been fantastic and I love it now. I wanted to mention to you that my experience with acupuncture treatments has opened me up to new ways of communicating with my body and making space for healing to occur.
This has allowed me to ask questions about my health and really learn how to relax my body in new ways that bring relief and renewed feelings. I’m now realizing that my body is screaming at me through these tight, painful muscles and that I need to make self care a priority if I don’t want to be in pain and discomfort . Melanie has a gentle way of nudging you toward your goals and reminding you to take baby steps at first if necessary.
